Kellyanne Conway Speaks About Alleged Assault At Restaurant
[DAILYCALLER] White House counselor Kellyanne Conway revealed Friday that a woman has been charged for grabbing and shaking her while Conway was eating out with her teenage daughter in Bethesda, Maryland.

"Somebody was grabbing me from behind, grabbing my arms, and was shaking me to the point where I felt maybe somebody was hugging me," Conway told CNN’s Dana Bash. "She was out of control. I don’t even know how to explain her to you. She was just, her whole face was terror and anger. She was right here, and my daughter was right there. She ought to pay for that."

Conway called 911, but the woman left before law enforcement could arrive at the Uncle Julio’s restaurant. The woman, Mary Elizabeth Inabinett, was charged with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct in November, reported CNN.

Inabinett will have a trial in Maryland state court in March.

"Ms. Inabinett saw Kellyanne Conway, a public figure, in a public place, and exercised her First Amendment right to express her personal opinions. She did not assault Ms. Conway. The facts at trial will show this to be true, and show Ms. Conway’s account to be false," Inabinett’s lawyer William Alden McDaniel Jr. said in a statement according to CNN.

Conway claimed her daughter had video recorded some of what transpired.

Second woman accuses Virginia's Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of sexual assault
[Chicago Tribune] woman said Friday she was raped by Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, D, in a "premeditated and aggressive" assault in 2000, while they both were undergraduate students at Duke University.

Through her attorney, Meredith Watson said she shared her account of sexual assault immediately after it happened with several classmates, who have provided statements. Her lawyer also said she shared her account with friends in a string of emails and Facebook messages.

Watson was friends with Fairfax at Duke but they never dated or had any romantic relationship, her lawyer said.

"At this time, Ms. Watson is reluctantly coming forward out of a strong sense of civic duty and her belief that those seeking or serving in public office should be of the highest character," said her attorney, Nancy Erika Smith in a statement Friday. "She has no interest in becoming a media personality or reliving the trauma that has greatly affected her life. Similarly, she is not seeking any financial damages."

James Clapper Rips ‘Truly Cringeworthy' Whitaker Testimony: It Was ‘Amateur Hour'
Excuse me, but WTF does the credibility challenged Jim Clapper have to do with any of this ?
[Huffpoo] Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper appeared stunned by acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker’s hearing before the House Judiciary Committee on Friday, bashing his testimony as virtually worthless.

In a CNN interview that evening, Clapper told the network’s Don Lemon that Whitaker’s remarks on special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election weren’t all that credible, suggesting the testimony was a complete disaster.

The hearing began sliding downhill once Whitaker responded to a question from Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) by telling him that he’d reached his time limit.

"His performance was truly cringeworthy starting with reminding the chairman that his five minutes was up," Clapper said. "Boy, you just don’t do that and I thought that was truly amateur hour."

The Schiff-Simpson Meeting
[TheHill] The new House Intelligence Committee chairman, Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), has proven to be his party’s most effective antagonist toward President Trump. And now, with the new powers of being chairman, he is drawing both new weapons and new scrutiny.

Sometimes such scrutiny inevitably turns to questions of hypocrisy.

Which bring us to the issue of some photographs taken at the prestigious Aspen security conference last July.

They show Schiff meeting at the event with Fusion GPS Founder Glenn Simpson, one of the key and most controversial figures in the Russia collusion scandal. Both men insisted to me through spokesmen that they met only briefly last July.

When confronted with the Aspen conference photos of Schiff, in sport coat and open-neck dress shirt, and Simpson, wearing casual attire, representatives for both men tried to minimize their discussion, insisting nothing substantive about the Russia case was discussed.
However...
Simpson has become a Forrest Gump-like character who keeps showing up in so many different places in the Russia scandal: He’s the owner of the company that was paid by Clinton for the Steele dossier, the guy who hired Steele to create the dossier, the one who met with Ohr at the Justice Department, who pitched reporters writing Trump dirt at the end of the campaign and who met with the Russian woman and an American lobbyist at the heart of the infamous June 2016 Trump Tower meeting.

And then, he shows up with Schiff in Aspen.

"It’s interesting that Simpson is at the heart of the dossier and the dossier played a mighty role in not only going after Carter Page but in much of Adam’s and Eric Swalwell’s [D-Calif.] quest to find collusion, that [Schiff] would in fact in that exact same conversation, or time frame, be in conversation or appear to be in conversation with the guy who’s principally responsible for the dossier," [Rep. Mike, (R), Tex.] Conaway said.

Whatever happened in Aspen won’t stay in Aspen much longer. Expect Republicans in Washington to launch some questions at the House’s new Intelligence Committee chairman.

House GOP Plans Sustained Effort to Expose Leftist Democrats on Abortion
[Breitbart] House Republicans are gearing up for a sustained push to expose leftist Democrats in the House Democrat majority on their increasingly extreme views on abortion, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.

Specifically, Republicans‐as they have demonstrated for three consecutive legislative days‐intend to push for a floor vote against Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s wishes on a piece of legislation from Rep. Ann Wagner (R-MO) that would ensure babies who are born alive following an abortion attempt are given the same medical treatment and care any other newborn baby would receive.

"Protecting innocent life shouldn’t be a partisan issue and it shouldn’t be difficult. Infanticide is barbaric and the growing trend of Democrats advocating it is frightening," House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a California Republican, told Breitbart News. "Republicans are united in seeing that a bill protecting babies who survived an attempted abortion urgently receives a vote on the House Floor. It already passed the House with Democratic support last Congress. But so far the new Democrat majority refuse to even consider the bill. But we will ask again. And again. And again, until this body speaks up for life."

The House Minority Whip, Steve Scalise, a Louisiana Republican, added in an emailed statement to Breitbart News that the Democrats’ extremism has been exposed and will continue to be shown to the public by the GOP’s sustained effort. Scalise said:

Likely deal would give Trump fraction of desired wall money
WASHINGTON (AP) ‐ Congressional bargainers are working toward a border security deal amid indications that the White House is preparing to accept a bipartisan agreement that would give President Donald Trump a fraction of the money he’s demanded for his proposed southern border wall.

Participants said they expect money for physical barriers to end up well below the $5.7 billion that Trump has sought to begin construction of the wall, which has attained iconic significance for him and his conservative supporters. Underscoring the clout he’s lost during a battle that’s dominated the opening weeks of divided government, the amount seems sure to fall much closer to $1.6 billion, the participants said, a figure that was in a bipartisan Senate bill last year.

"That’s what we’re working toward," said Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard, D-Calif., one bargainer.

An agreement would also avert a new partial federal shutdown next weekend. Trump has warned he might trigger a new closure of agencies if he doesn’t get his way, but that threat has become toothless because of solid opposition from GOP lawmakers burned by the record 35-day closure that he initiated in December.

Acting AG Whitaker tells Democrat 'I Am Not Your Puppet (video)
[Right Scoop] Democrats have turned this oversight hearing for the DOJ into a political crapfest. It’s filled with both character assassination of Acting AG Whitaker as well as many questions about Trump’s tweets as it pertains to Mueller and whether or not Whitaker has been inappropriately giving Trump information about the investigation.

There is little oversight of the actual DOJ being addressed by Democrats in this oversight hearing.

This is an example of the politics being played here, where Rep. Swalwell asks Whitaker if the thinks Mueller is honest and then asks him to repeat that to the president in the hearing.

Whitaker pushes back at Swalwell, telling him that he’s clear about his opinion and he’s not here to be Swalwell’s puppet.

"Congressman I am not here to be a puppet, to repeat terms and words that you say."

Boom!

I love seeing him push back against this ’repeat after me’ political attack phrased as a question.

Maybe my point was too subtle. Members of Congress seem to wear the title of Congressman/-woman like a title of nobility. They are not nobility. I'm not influenced by "common vernacular". We, on the Right are all too willing to adopt the Lefts preferred language. Why? I have no idea. Much for the same reason as I refer to homo-sexuals as, homo-sexuals and not gays, Leftists as Leftists or Communists and not Liberals/Progressives...etc., I suggest we refer to our politicians as Representatives and Senators. Mayoral task force recommends paying struggling Chicagoans $1,000 a month
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Some Chicago families could start collecting a $1,000 check every month with no strings attached. That's the new proposal from a task force created by Mayor Emanuel.

The idea is to break the cycle of poverty. The pilot program would give 1,000 struggling Chicagoans $1,000 a month.

Supporters say people could use the extra cash to cover unexpected emergencies, increase their savings and improve their health.

The money would come from a mix of city funds and charity.

Dem Al Green Forgets Blackface People are Dems, Blames Trump For Bigotry
[Breitbart] Rep. Al Green (D-TX) said on Thursday that Virginia Democrat Gov. Ralph Northam’s blackface scandal is a symptom of President Donald J. Trump’s "bigotry" and promised to keep pushing impeachment.

Green promised to press forward with the impeachment of President Trump, contending that Gov. Northam’s refusal to resign amidst his blackface scandal is a symptom of Trump’s alleged racist views.

"When we allow bigotry to infect the body politic with impunity at the highest level, other levels will expect impunity for their bigotry," Green tweeted on Thursday. "Gov. Northam’s refusal to resign for his bigotry is a symptom. Failure to act on Pres. Trump’s bigotry is the problem. #ImpeachmentIsNotDead."
