[NY Post] Computers from China and Russia tried to attack Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server, according to never-released e-mails from the Denver company that set up and maintained the system.
And other internal e-mails show the IT executives fretted about being ordered to purge e-mails and scrambled to distance themselves from what they believed was the former first lady "covering up some shaddy [shady] s- -t."
In a gallows-humor message, one called it "Hillary’s coverup operation."
The FBI in July chastised Clinton and her aides over the use of the private server, saying, "They were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information." But the agency declined to recommend charges.
The FBI report noted there were many hacking attempts into the system, both while Clinton was secretary of state and afterward when Platte River Networks took over the administration of the home server. The agency said none had been successful, and it never named the hackers or their points of origin.
But multiple internal Platte River e-mails reviewed by The Post show that computers in China tried on three occasions in 2014 to log into Clinton’s server and a computer in Russia tried once in 2013.
The internal communications also revealed how the execs belatedly tightened security on Clinton’s now-controversial home server and frantically sought to "cover our asses" when news broke that the former secretary of state’s communications were deleted.
"Any chance you found an old e-mail with their directives to cut the backups back in Oct‐-Feb? . . . If we had that e-mail, we are golden," Platte River IT consultant Bill Thornton wrote to colleagues on Aug. 19, 2015.

When asked about specifics Comey said he couldn't remember, and that his mind was jello.
The fact that virtually nothing was made nationally of the "Wiped? Like with a cloth?" comment is a damning statement in regard to BOTH parties.
Not a damn soul with any understanding of technology should have allowed that *stupid* statement to go unchallenged. The fact that the (alleged) opposition party never pressed that evil bitch on that comment tells you that they care far too much about re-election and far too little about our country.

The fact that this evil bitch continues to poll at even 40% tells us all that we are in the midst of a civil war. She stands for *nothing*...and I mean *nothing*. But 40+% of this country has been taught (with YOUR taxpayer money) that believing in *nothing* is "sophisticated", and that there is no such thing as right and wrong.
And our (alleged) "opposition" party has done not a damn thing to counter any such notion.
[Daily Caller] President Barack Obama made a joke with unfortunately bad timing Saturday, quipping that the Islamic State was no big deal compared to his birth certificate, only to have America hit by two separate explosions.
While addressing a dinner held by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Saturday night, Obama joked about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s recent declaration that Obama was, in fact, born in America.
"I don’t know about you guys, but I am so relieved that the whole birther thing is over," Obama said. "I mean, ISIL, North Korea, poverty, climate change, none of those things weighed on my mind like the validity of my birth certificate."
Unfortunately, at almost the same time Obama made his remarks, the Chelsea neighborhood was rocked by an explosion that injured at least 25 people. New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio said the explosion was "an intentional act," and authorities reportedly found a second, undetonated pressure cooker device on a nearby street.

Has anyone else had suspicious thought about these explosions? I mean, these guys know how to make IEDs--they are very experienced. These explosions seemed rather puny and amateur. One would almost consider them a failure or a distraction from other things. Maybe I just wax cconspratorial--if so just ignore.

Besoeker, I know little about the bombs that were found except what is in the news. I was just looking at damage and injury reports. You might be right that this is a probing attack to gather intelligence for something larger down the road. I saw Gen. Flynn making a case that ISIS is sophisticated in their approach to terrorism. He cited that they issue lessons learned from other places such as Nice, etc., they have multi-language slick magazines. We'd better get serious in our approaches to dealing with these guys. Obama doesn't do us any favors by referring to them as the JV or joking about them.

They are "improvised" devices. Not all bombers are experienced...although if they survive they will improve their product thanks to the detailed BDA given to him by the breathless news media.
