[CNS] In another interview with his longtime atheist friend, Eugenio Scalfari, Pope Francis claims that Hell does not exist and that condemned souls just "disappear." This is a denial of the 2,000-year-old teaching of the Catholic Church about the reality of Hell and the eternal existence of the soul.
The interview between Scalfari and the Pope was published March 28, 2018 in La Repubblica. The relevant section on Hell was translated by the highly respected web log, Rorate Caeli.
The interview is headlined, "The Pope: It is an honor to be called revolutionary." (Il Papa: “È un onore essere chiamato rivoluzionario.")
Scalfari says to the Pope, "Your Holiness, in our previous meeting you told me that our species will disappear in a certain moment and that God, still out of his creative force, will create new species. You have never spoken to me about the souls who died in sin and will go to hell to suffer it for eternity. You have however spoken to me of good souls, admitted to the contemplation of God. But what about bad souls? Where are they punished?"
Pope Francis says, "They are not punished, those who repent obtain the forgiveness of God and enter the rank of souls who contemplate him, but those who do not repent and cannot therefore be forgiven disappear. There is no hell, there is the disappearance of sinful souls."
No, but the media will cover it, with a pillow, until it's dead.

Congratulations to all now gainfully employed! Mr. Wife officially retires tomorrow, so as of Monday he won't be one of them. But he's already been asked to consult on some things, and who knows what will happen with his photography hobby. .. I'll be happy if he cuts back to something like 50 hours a week.
Roger Goodell does seem determined to ruin viewership numbers, doesn't he?
[USA TODAY] - For the first time, an NFL team will have men as part of its official spirit squad.
Quinton Peron and Napoleon Jinnies, named to the Los Angeles Rams squad this week, will be the first ones to perform the same routine as the female dancers. The Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts have men who perform stunts with female cheerleaders, but don't dance.
Peron and Jinnies are both classically trained dancers and have been performing their entire lives.
But what made them take this groundbreaking step?
"I thought, 'Why not me? Why can't I do this?' " Peron said in an interview Wednesday on ABC-TV's Good Morning America. Check out the guy on the right - my gaydar meter's pegging!

In order to predict the course of any large organization, one need only assume it is being run by a secret cabal of enemies determined to destroy it.

I take it they won't be in the same uniform as the young females, except at home games.

Oh, gonna have dude military press an axle with tractor tires while the gals do a bee dance, take some 40 yard shots with a 2" revolver? Change a flat in 5 minutes?

Yeah.
What is missing for next year? I mean, other than my patronage. Abolishing team names?

So .... in 1941 my dad went out for the HS football team despite his father forbidding it (they couldn't afford insurance and he was worried about broken bones etc.).
Granddad came home from work early, passed the team heading out to the practice field and dragged Dad out of there.
So, my father being my father, he went out for the cheerleading squad. Made it as was made captain despite being so young.
Later he left HS early to enlist (lied about his age). They made him senior class president in his absence.
[Federalist] Last week, the Mississippi governor signed House Bill 1510, the Gestational Age Act, which bans abortions after 15 weeks of gestation. As NPR noted, the new law makes Mississippi the national leader in protecting the rights of unborn children.
Not surprisingly, legal action swiftly ensued, as the last remaining abortion facility in the state filed a complaint almost immediately. The law was subsequently blocked and a determination will be made this week on whether to put the law on hold longer. Some speculate the law will be struck down because it attempts to regulate abortion prior to viability, a marker that has been important when deciding the constitutionality of some abortion restrictions.
Naturally, abortion proponents are not happy about the law. The so-called "anti-choice" law has been called strict and unconstitutional, a severe piece of propaganda that shames Mississippi women, "a new low for anti-choice policy," and "downright dangerous."
[NYT] It has been my greatest professional honor to serve our country’s more than 20 million veterans. Almost three years ago, I left my private sector job running hospitals and came to Washington to repay my gratitude to the men and women who put their lives on the line for our country.
I believe strongly in the mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs, and nothing about my political experience in Washington could ever change that. I also believe that maintaining a strong V.A. is an essential piece of the puzzle that is the United States’ national security system: We can only expect our sons and daughters to risk their lives and fight for our freedom if we can keep our promise to care for them when they return home broken, injured or traumatized. There is no excuse for not holding up our end of the bargain. The mission set forth by President Abraham Lincoln to care for those who have "borne the battle" is a sacred duty that I will remain committed to always.

Give the vets a choice of either going to a V.A. facilty or to a private doctor or hospital. Often it is a hardship to travel to V.A. facility wheras there is a private doctor/facility nearby.
[Breitbart] A massive poll covering all 28 European Union (EU) states has revealed an overwhelming concern over illegal immigration with more than three-quarters of EU citizens saying that Europe’s external borders should be better protected.
The sweeping February survey conducted by the Századvég Foundation’s Project 28 sampled one thousand adult citizens from each of the 28 EU countries, and found a remarkable consistency of thought regarding the dangers of unchecked immigration.
What is "most striking" about the survey, wrote the Spectator’s Douglas Murray on March 24, is that "there is such extraordinary unanimity around the question of immigration."
"While numerous political divides exist within each of the 28 member states, and considerable differences exist between them, only on the matters of migration, borders and security can this not be said," he observed.
The poll has revealed, in fact, that while 78 percent of all Europeans believe that illegal immigration into their countries is a problem, more citizens in every single European country say that it is a "serious problem" than say it is not a problem or not a very serious problem.
[Wash Times] NFL team owners have unanimously given their final approval to an unprecedented $90 million social justice initiative but have made no decisions about how to handle players who refuse to stand for the national anthem.
Instead, owners are expected to continue the discussion about whether to change the game-day policy, which does not require players to stand, at the spring league meeting in May, according to a post on NFL.com citing the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
"The NFL is committing $90 million to a new social justice initiative that supports efforts and programs to combat social inequality," the NFL post said Monday. "In a memo sent to all 32 teams in early December, the league said it plans to work closely with players, teams and other groups in the new and expanded community improvement program."
In addition, the NFL Foundation "contributed $3 million in initial funding for the program," the statement said.
The decision to avoid an anthem vote at the March 25-28 annual league meeting in Orlando came with the owners split on how to handle the divisive two-year-old sideline protests, which have been blamed in large part for the NFL’s 9.7 percent ratings decline in the 2017 regular season.

[Guardian] Mark Altaweel is surprised at how easy it is. A few hours into a hunt around London, the near-east specialist from the UCL Institute of Archaeology has uncovered objects that, he says, are "very likely to be coming from conflict regions" in Iraq and Syria. The items ‐ pieces of early glass; a tiny statue; some fragments of bone inlay ‐ range from the second to fourth centuries BC. Altaweel says they are so distinctive that they could only have come from a particular part of the region: the part now controlled by the so-called Islamic State. That we were able to find such items openly sold in London "tells you the scale ‐ we’re just seeing the tail end of it," he says. Lengthy article continues.

[American Thinker] Apparently, asking people in the U.S. whether they are citizens of the U.S. or not, in the decennial census, is presenting a big crisis for Democrats.
According to left-leaning Mike Allen's top ten morning stories, citing a New York Times article:
Fear? Is Allen really hearing that they have fear? Not just consider it important, but consider it an existential threat to their power?
Apparently, so. The argument goes that illegals won't answer the census out of fear that their immigration status will be found out and then not be counted in the census. If a lot of them refuse, then Democrats could lose seats in Congress. It says a lot about the base of the Democratic Party that non-citizens are that important to them, the very basis of why they are in office at all. Talk about foreign influence in the U.S. elections. What kind of party seeks to exert immense power over the lives of citizens through leftwing policies, yet doesn't even have a citizen base to back their power?

The US Census (IIRC) has asked residents to say whether or not they were citizens in ALL the censuses up through & including 1950. For the bulk of the history of the USA, this was the standard. This article on the issue by NPR is "inaccurate, incomplete and misleading" to quote their own words against them.

[Guardian] Facebook is increasing its lobbying presence in Washington DC before Mark Zuckerberg’s expected testimony on Capitol Hill.
The company has listed 12 policy-related job openings based in Washington DC as it faces increased scrutiny over its privacy policies after it was reported that Cambridge Analytica had obtained data from up to 50 million Facebook users.
The revelation sparked new concern about the amount of information that the company had collected from its users and with whom it was shared.
The job listings include a Washington DC-based public policy manager "to work with both the legislative branch and third-party groups as a clear line of communication, helping to advocate on behalf of the company’s mission and goals" as well as a politics and government manager to "work with candidates, elected officials, and others in the US political system to use our platform and civic engagement tools to connect in meaningful and innovative ways".

A federal judge has denied Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s request for a protective order for materials gathered during discovery for the upcoming trial of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort in Alexandria, Virginia.
In a two-page order entered Wednesday morning, U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III said Mueller’s request was "insufficiently specific in describing the information to be subject to the requested protective order, which is, in the circumstances, excessively broad."
"To be sure, there may be good reason to apply a protective order to certain specific information in this case, but that information has not been adequately identified or described," Ellis wrote. "Instead, the protective order simply refers vaguely to ’other confidential materials’ that need to be shielded from disclosure."
Dismissing Mueller’s request as "anemic," Ellis went on to say the "current proposed protective order throws an unnecessarily broad cloak of secrecy over documents and information to be disclosed in discovery. And this is so especially given that the indictment in this case charges defendant with engaging in conspiracies that begin as long ago as 2005 and ended in 2014."

Ah yes, accused anthrax host Steve Hatfill, like former Ruby Ridge resident Randy Weaver, both multi-millionaires following FBI cock-ups and generous US Gov't settlements. Mueller spotted the apartheid gov't supporting Hatfill straight away. Who needs microbiologist anyway.
Hatfill was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, and graduated from Mattoon Senior High School, Mattoon, Illinois (1971), and Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas (1975), where he studied biology.
Hatfill was enlisted as a private in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1977.[11] (In 1999, he would tell a journalist during an interview that he had been a "captain in the U.S. Special Forces", but in a subsequent investigation the Army stated that he had never served with the Special Forces.[12]) Following his Army discharge, Hatfill qualified and worked as a medical laboratory technician, but soon resolved to become a doctor.
Hatfill then settled in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) entering the Godfrey Huggins Medical School[13] in Salisbury (now Harare) in 1978. (His claimed military associations during this period included assistance as a medic with the Selous Scouts and membership in the Rhodesian SAS, but according to one journalist[14] the regimental association of the latter is "adamant Hatfill never belonged to the unit".) He graduated (after failing in 1983) with a M ChB degree in 1984 and then completed a one-year internship (1984–85) at a small rural hospital in South Africa’s North West Province. Wiki

Mueller's anemia may be passing the buck, allowing others to maintain the facade, absolving himself all while following Deep State orders. Part of the cabal, he cannot quit or disobey or he will be neutralized. Russian Blog connects some dots:
To most fully understand these “Deep State” machinations of today, this report explains, one must first go back to 5 June 1996 when the Khobar Towers Bombing attack occurred in Saudi Arabia—that was entirely a fundamentalist-Sunni operation, specifically perpetrated by Al Qaeda, which hates Shia and which also hates America’s military presence in the Middle East, and that its leader, Osama bin Laden stated his Al Qaeda had carried out—but whose Clinton regime era investigation of, led by US intelligence officials Robert Muller and James Comey, absurdly concluded Iran was responsible for.
The reason then FBI Director Robert Mueller targeted Steven Hatfill in the first place, this report reveals, was his knowing that he couldn’t blame the anthrax attacks on Al Qaeda as “Deep State” operatives within the Bush regime had ordered him to do, as it would then have to be explained how this Saudi-based terror group was able to get its hands on US military produced and weaponized anthrax spores—and with Hatfill now “out of the equation”, then saw Mueller turn his sights on senior US Army biodefense researcher Bruce Ivins.
Unlike Steven Hatfill, though, this report explains, Bruce Ivins, on 29 July 2008, was suicided—with Mueller, a week later, declaring that Ivins “was the sole culprit” of the 2001 anthrax attacks and closing the case forever—but that the National Academy of Sciences, in their 2011 report titled “Review of the Scientific Approaches Used During the FBI's Investigation of the 2001 Anthrax Letters”, called, in essence, absurd.
The Kremlin even blames Deep State, observing:
In the United States, Robert Mueller is leading the “Deep State” coup against President Trump—In Russia he would be in jail for the many crimes he’s committed.

The alleged conspiracy took place before Trump announced his candidacy. What would be the need for a governmental cloak of secrecy unless there might have been some investigative hi-jinks. Usually, discovery information obtained through depositions are public documents.

When the cone of silence is lowered, everyone has cause for concern.
[NYP] Move aside, Viagra ‐ there’s a new treatment for erectile dysfunction, and it’s, well, shocking.
The procedure, called GainsWave, zaps tens of thousands of sound waves through a man’s penis to improve blood flow and enable erections. Scary as it sounds, urologists and sexual-health proponents are getting excited about it.
"People in the community who deal with erectile dysfunction often use the word ’promising’ when they talk about this therapy," says Dr. Michael Reitano, the physician-in-residence for men’s health startup Roman, the creators of the erection-tracking app Morning Glory.
The therapy is available in a handful of practices in New York City and several more nationwide. Its proponents say the sound wave pulses cause new blood vessels and nerve tissue to grow within the penis, enabling better blood flow and possibly improving tissue sensitivity.

Driven to desperation by their fury at President Trump’s election, his presidency, and Robert Mueller’s failure to substantiate the bogus Russia conspiracy fantasy, progressives are escalating their rhetoric, and in the process, unmasking their true beliefs. For decades, they have obscured their real goals, and pretended to be interested in moderate, incremental measures that they believe would be acceptable to mainstream Americans. Using terms like "compassion" and "fairness," they have sought to justify handing more and more power to the state, and the importation of a population amenable to state control of all aspects of life.
But in reaction to President Trump’s in-your-face persona and use of the mechanisms of state power for goals they oppose, they have escalated their rhetoric, and in the process exposed their real beliefs that long have been kept hidden from the broader public.
Consider the events of the past few days:
...I think that long before he even dreamed of entering politics, Donald Trump realized that by outraging his opponents, he could provoke them into saying and doing things that would prove harmful to their goals by exposing their motives, assumptions, and real intentions.
Trump Derangement Syndrome is turning out to be very useful for conservatives.
[Townhall] Gun control might be on everyone’s minds, or at least those in America’s newsrooms, but we have yet another development in the ongoing and increasingly comical investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians. There are new texts allegedly showing that the Obama White House, the CIA, the FBI, and top Democrats colluded at the outset of the Russia probe. FBI Agent Peter Strzok, who initiated this investigation in July of 2016, sent them to his mistress and bureau lawyer Lisa Page. That effort is now to be headed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Strzok became a centerpiece of this whole saga since his extramarital affair with Page brought the probe’s credibility in question and that of the FBI itself.
Strzok texted Page saying that certain cyber intelligence should be given to the Obama White House on August 8, 2016.
"Internal joint cyber cd intel piece for D, scenesetter for McDonough brief, Trainer [head of FBI cyber division] directed all cyber info be pulled. I’d let Bill and Jim hammer it out first, though it would be best for D to have it before the Wed WH session," he said.
Fox News reported that "D" referred to White House Chief of Staff Dennis McDonough. Later that month, on August 25, then-CIA Director John Brennan briefed Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV), who then penned a letter to former FBI Director James Comey about possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. On August 29, The New York Times reported on the letter; Page sent the link to the story to Strzok saying, "here we go."
The news network noted that GOP investigators don’t want to draw any conclusions, but noted that this is enough to call for a special investigator to ensure the independence of the agencies was honored. The FBI and the CIA aren’t supposed to engage in what appears to be a coordinated political activity during an election.

I like the Harry Reid angle - if there was one politician that was as bad and loathsome as Obama between 2008 and 2016, it was this guy. Hope he gets smacked by a big legal rubber band.
Actually the WH physician
Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin will resign soon, President Donald Trump said on Wednesday, adding that he will nominate his personal physician, Dr. Ronny Jackson, to succeed him.
White House officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Shulkin had become a distraction due to a constant wave of speculation about his future. They said an undersecretary at the Department of Defense, Robert Wilkie, will be the acting secretary.
Jackson, a rear admiral of the US Navy, has been working as a presidential physician since the George W. Bush administration, and has monitored Trump's health since Trump became president.

Shulkin exhibited poor judgement (bad 'optics') in his misuse of funds and was an embarrassment and distraction, and had to go. (May be unfortunate, anecdotally performance at local VA is much improved of late.)
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Taliban ...Arabic for students... group in Afghanistan reacted in panic as the Afghan Air Force dropped the first laser-guided bomb on a hideout of the group in western Farah province.
A front man for the Taliban group Zabiullah Mujahid called the latest Arclight airstrike a "small step", claiming that the coalition forces did not have any major achievement despite using such sophisticated weapons and equipment in the past 17 years.
However, a clean conscience makes a soft pillow... the alliance led by NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A single organization with differing goals, equipment, language, doctrine, and structure.... , calls the use of the first laser-guided bomb by the Afghan Air Force a major achievement and another chapter in the success story of the Afghan Air Force.
"On March 22, the Afghan Air Force tasked the A-29 squadron to destroy a Taliban compound in Farah. The Afghan attack pilots were equipped with both guided and unguided bombs, and elected to employ the GBU-58 laser-guided bomb to avoid collateral damage," according to a report by Resolute Support Mission.
"Key pieces that you’re seeing is that the Afghan Air Force itself, one of the more lethal organizations they have, and one that we’re looking to triple in size by 2023, is conducting significantly more air operations in direct support of the ANDSF on the battlefield, to the tune of 500 more sorties this year than they did the year before," said U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Lance Bunch, director of future operations, Resolute Support, in a December 2017 presser.
Bunch also noted the Afghan forces conducted their combat operations through 2017 with the lowest level of support from the coalition forces in the 16-year war here, yet has seen some of the most success they’ve ever had.

I was skeptical at first, but the Afghan Air Force seems to be making good use of those cute little Super Tucanos.
Personally, I see a great future for Private Military Contractors in places where the govt is unable to stand up forces capable of dealing with the local hard boys. But that's a rant for another day.
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Conflicting reports have emerged regarding a clash between the Afghan and Pak border forces near Durand Line in Paktia as situation remains tense along the Line amid deteriorating security situation and persistent artillery shelling.
The provincial government of Paktia said in a statement that the Afghan border forces came under coordinated fire both from the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... and Pak militia forces at around 2pm local time Dand-e-Patan district.
The statement further added that the Afghan border forces returned fire which sparked a clash that continued until 5pm local time resulting into the retreat of the militia forces and the Taliban turbans.
However, a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth... the Embassy of Pakistain in Kabul, in a statement rejected the reports regarding the clash between the Afghan and Pak forces.
The statement further added that no clash has taken place and no Pak soldier has breached the Line, emphasizing that Pakistain respects the territorial integrity and illusory sovereignty of Afghanistan.
This comes as the situation in certain southeastern and eastern provinces along the Durand Line remains tense amid ongoing insurgency led by the hard boyz as well as the persistent artillery shelling from the other side of the Durand Line.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan recently summoned the Charge d’Affaires of Pakistain in reaction to the artillery shelling in the eastern provinces, particularly in Kunar province ... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country..... , which has came under immense shelling during the recent weeks.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Dubai Police said on Tuesday that they tossed in the slammer Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! five individuals who smuggled 20 kg of heroin into the UAE.
The Dubai Police Anti-Narcotic Department arrested the drug pushers at a Dubai hotel on Monday, March 19, reported Gulf News.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Members of the United Nations ...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense... Security Council issued a statement on Wednesday condemning in the strongest possible terms the multiple Houthi ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ... missile attacks on several Saudi cities.
"The members of the Security Council underlined that such attacks pose a serious national security threat to the Kingdom of Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... as well as a wider threat to regional security. The members of the Council also expressed alarm at the stated intention of the Houthis to continue these attacks against Saudi Arabia, as well as to launch additional attacks against other states in the region," the statement read.
Saudi Arabia’s air forces have responded to 104 ballistic missiles launched by Iran-backed Houthi militias on the kingdom since the June 6, 2015.

[THEHILL] The Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed charges against an FBI agent for allegedly leaking secret documents to a news hound, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported Wednesday.
The DOJ alleges that Terry Albury, a Minneapolis-based agent, shared a document on FBI informants with an unnamed news hound for a national media organization. In addition, Albury allegedly leaked a document "relating to threats posed by certain individuals from a particular Middle Eastern country."
The Star-Tribune reported that the charges don’t name the news hound or news outlet involved. However, a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all... Albury allegedly shared the information between February 2016 and Jan. 31, 2017.
...in other words, the last year of President Obama’s tenure. Why d’you suppose he chose that timing, dear Reader?
The news outlet The Intercept published a piece on Jan. 31, 2017, titled "The FBI’s Secret Rules," based on a trove of secret FBI documents.
An attorney for Albury and an FBI spokesperson did not respond to the Star-Tribune's requests for comment.
The Trump administration has taken a harsh stance toward leakers. Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced in August a governmentwide crackdown on leakers, which included a review of the DOJ's policies on subpoenas for media outlets that publish sensitive information.
Sessions said at the time that the DOJ, FBI and government intelligence agencies would direct more resources into the investigations of government leaks and would prioritize prosecuting those who pass sensitive information along to the press or foreign officials.

“He accepts full responsibility for the conduct set forth in the Information. [ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Two Spanish art experts suspected of running a ring that sold antiques looted from archaeological sites in Libya by groups linked to the ISIS group have been nabbed Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please! , police said Wednesday.
Officers seized "numerous works of art", including seven mosaics and a sarcophagus, during raids carried out in five locations in Barcelona and the nearby town of Argentona as part of their operation, police said in a statement.
The works were stolen from archaeological sites in Libya's eastern coastal region of Cyrenaica and northern region of Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... tania, which are home to some of the finest Roman and Greek ruins in existence.
The two men who were arrested as part of the operation are both Spanish nationals aged 31 who are experts in ancient art.
Police said one of the men appeared regularly on TV to discuss ancient art and even took part in several academic conferences that discussed the destruction of historical sites by the ISIS group.
"They led a network that illegally bought works looted from archaeological sites by groups linked to the terrorist group ISIS, helping to finance its activities," police said in a statement, using the Arabic acronym for ISIS.
"Some of the pieces also showed imperfections, bumps and marks that indicated they underwent a violent extraction from the subsoil, without the use of adequate archaeological techniques," it added.
The two men are accused of selling the works, dubbed "blood antiques" on the black market according to Spanish police, at a gallery they run in Barcelona.
They face charges of membership in a criminal organization, document falsification, smuggling and financing terrorism.
Spanish police said they sought the help of Libyan authorities to verify the authenticity of the works.

[Ynet] The Paleostinian Authority decided to return to directly financing financial aid to families of snuffies imprisoned in Israel and to families of snuffies killed in attacks against Israel‐who they refer to as "freedom fighters."
The PA has given these payments indirectly for the past four years, but has now decided to do so explicitly after the US passed on Friday the Taylor Force Act‐which halts economic aid to the Paleostinian Authority until they cease paying stipends to snuffies and to the families of deceased terrorists‐as a show of defiance against the Trump administration and the new measure.
The amount of the payment was published in the Paleostinian Authority's budget reports for 2018.
According to the reports, the Paleostinian Authority directly allocates 550 million shekels as stipends for Paleostinians imprisoned in Israel, as well as NIS 687 million to the families of snuffies who were killed during terrorist attacks or attempted attacks against Israel.
Or about US$355 million altogether. So generous of those other countries and the UN to finance these activites. The Times of Israel adds:
Paleostinian Media Watch says the payments will come out of the PA’s total operating budget for the coming year, which has been set at NIS 16.6 billion ($4.76 billion).

[Ynet] The United States will no longer shoulder more than a quarter of the multibillion-dollar costs of the United Nations ...boodling on the grand scale... ' peacekeeping operations, Washington's envoy said Wednesday.
"Peacekeeping is a shared responsibility," US Ambassador Nikki Haley ...Trump administration's ambassador to the UN. First woman to serve as Governor of South Carolina, and the second Indian-American governor in the country, after Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. At the age of 39, Haley was the youngest governor in the U.S., a distinction formerly held by Jindal. She is a Republican, which really grates on the Dems... said at a Security Council debate on peacekeeping reform. "All of us have a role to play, and all of us must step up."
The US is the biggest contributor to the UN's 15 peacekeeping missions worldwide. Washington is paying about 28.5 percent of this year's $7.3 billion peacekeeping budget, though Haley said US law is supposed to cap the contribution at 25 percent.
The second-biggest contributor, China, pays a bit over 10 percent.
President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... 's administration has complained before that the budget and the US share are too high and pressed to cut to this year's budget. It is $570 million below last year's, a smaller decrease than Washington wanted.
"We're only getting started," Haley said when the cut was approved in June. It followed a $400 million trim the year before.
Haley said Wednesday the US will work to make sure cuts in its portion are done "in a fair and sensible manner that protects UN peacekeeping."

The first two UN Peacekeeping missions were UNTSO to monitor Arab-Iraeli ceasefire in 1948 and UNMOGIP to monitor India-Pakistan ceasefire in Kashmir in 1948. 70 years later neither problem has been solved and an argument could be made that having Peacekeepers there actually elongates problems by limiting the larger power and allowing the smaller power to attack knowing they won't be crushed as they would without peacekeepers.
Then their is the UN Peacekeepers rape problem that keep popping up...
[IsraelTimes] An Israeli tank shelled two Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, positions in the northern Gazoo Strip on Wednesday after two Paleostinian men set fire to a platform near the security fence surrounding the coastal enclave, the army said.
The military said the targets were observation posts used by the terrorist group, which rules the Gazoo Strip.
Earlier, two men approached the abandoned Karni Crossing in northern Gazoo and set fire to a wooden platform connected to it, the army said.
"The IDF takes seriously any attempt to harm or deface the security fence and defense infrastructure," the army said in a statement.
The Israel Defense Forces stressed that the two suspects did not get through the security fence and enter Israeli territory.
[AlAhram] The US-led coalition fighting the IS group in Syria and Iraq acknowledged Wednesday the deaths of another 14 civilians, increasing the overall toll of non-fighters killed to at least 855.
The coalition said in a statement that it had completed a review in February of 84 reports of potential civilian casualties from air and artillery strikes, of which all but six were deemed not credible.
These six incidents occurred in Syria between May 2017 and January 2018.
In one instance, five non-combatants were killed near Albu Kamal during a coalition strike against an Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... leader.
"The investigation assessed that although all feasible precautions were taken and the decision to strike complied with the law of armed conflict, unintended civilian casualties unfortunately occurred," officials said in a statement.
Investigators were still looking at another 522 reports from the campaign.
The coalition conducted a total of 29,225 strikes between August 2014 and the end of February 2018 in Iraq and Syria.
Monitoring group Airwars says the number of civilian deaths acknowledged by the US-led coalition is well below the true toll of the bombing campaign, estimating that at least 6,238 civilians have been killed.
The US-led operations to fight IS in Iraq and Syria have largely wound down, with the jihadists ousted from more than 98 percent of the territory they once held.

[Townhall] Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who operates independently from Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the Trump administration, announced Wednesday afternoon he will launch an investigation into alleged FISA abuse during the Obama administration.
"Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz announced today that, in response to requests from the Attorney General and Members of Congress, the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) will initiate a review that will examine the Justice Department’s and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) compliance with legal requirements, and with applicable DOJ and FBI policies and procedures, in applications filed with the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) relating to a certain U.S. person," the DOJ Office of the Inspector General released in a statement Wednesday. "As part of this examination, the OIG also will review information that was known to the DOJ and the FBI at the time the applications were filed from or about an alleged FBI confidential source. Additionally, the OIG will review the DOJ’s and FBI’s relationship and communications with the alleged source as they relate to the FISC applications."
"If circumstances warrant, the OIG will consider including other issues that may arise during the course of the review," the statement continues.
[Wash Times] In the days following the Orlando mass shooting that left 49 dead and 58 injured, then FBI Director James Comey acknowledged that the FBI had investigated ISIS-inspired terrorist Omar Mateen on two different occasions:
Comey explained how and why Mateen had been investigated and said that the FBI assessment was that he posed no danger at that time. He then employed his trademark "Eliot Ness" furvor swearing that he would move heaven and earth to find out what went wrong:
"We will continue to look forward in this investigation and backward. We will leave no stone un-turned and we will work all day and all night to understand the path to that terrible night. We’re also going to look hard at our own work, to see whether there’s something we should have done differently. So far, the honest answer is I don’t think so."
And yet, here we are almost two years later and we haven’t heard anything. In fact, it’s worse than that. We’re now learning that Comey and the FBI hid a key bit of information from the American people in the days after the attacks. He purposely did not disclose that Mateen’s father, Seddique Mateen, was an informant for the FBI for the ten years preceding the deadly attacks.

[THEHILL] Baltimore’s emergency dispatch system reportedly faced a cyberattack over the weekend, causing officials to manually handle emergency calls while its automated program was temporarily shut down.
Officials learned about the "limited breach" against the city’s computer network on Sunday morning, Baltimore's chief information officer Frank Johnson told The Baltimore Sun.
An unidentified hacker reportedly disrupted the network’s messaging functions within the computer-aided dispatch system.
Johnson told The Baltimore Sun that employees manually took over handling emergency calls to 911 and 311 until the system was back up and running. City officials mitigated the hack by isolating and taking offline the breached server, he said.
"This effectively means that instead of details of incoming callers seeking emergency support being relayed to dispatchers electronically, they were relayed by call center support staff manually," Johnson told the newspaper.
Baltimore is the second U.S. city to recently face a cyberattack, after Atlanta faced a ransomware attack earlier this month that affected a range of the city’s services, like bill collection operations.

[AnNahar] US President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... decided Tuesday to end the protected status of thousands of Liberian migrants colonists to the United States and gave them a year to leave the country.
It's the latest of similar moves, after more than 250,000 Salvadorans, Haitians and Nicaraguans lost their protected status under an administration which has made cracking down on illegal immigration a priority.
In 1991, when the West African country was in the grip of civil war, some Liberians living in the US were given "temporary protected status" to allow them to remain in safety.
Then in 1999 approximately 10,000 of them were made eligible for "deferred enforced departure," or DED, by then-president Bill Clinton ...former Democratic president of the U.S. Bill was the second U.S. president to be impeached, the first to deny that oral sex was sex, the first to have difficulty with the definition of is... , allowing them to continue to build new lives.
Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it... have periodically renewed the DED status, but Trump has now decided to allow it to expire, deeming Liberia safe for returnees.
Trump has taken a tough stance on immigration in general and, in reported private conversations, an even tougher stance on Africans from what he has reportedly deemed "shithole countries."
The latest grace period expires on March 31, but Trump said in a letter to the Department of Homeland Security that he would accord the Liberians a 12-month "wind-down" period to prepare their departure.
"Through consultation with appropriate executive departments and agencies and my advisors, I have been informed that conditions in Liberia have improved," Trump wrote.
"Liberia is no longer experiencing armed conflict and has made significant progress in restoring stability and democratic governance," he argued.
Trump admitted that the 2014 outbreak of the Ebola virus in West Africa had brought "tragic loss of life and economic damage" to Liberia, one of the world's poorest countries after years of civil war.
But he declared himself satisfied with Liberia's progress in tackling the disease.
It is not clear how many of the original 10,000 DED recipients may have died, moved on voluntarily or been granted another form of legal US residency -- but the rest face an uncertain future.
Opponents of Trump's move warned it would uproot many who had made new and productive lives for themselves in the United States.
Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, a Democrat, noted on Twitter that, thanks to the previous presidents' DED extensions, the Liberians had been living in the United States legally since 1992.
"Many work in Minnesota hospitals and nursing homes," she wrote. "I won't give up this fight. We have a year."

I thought Liberia was supposed to be where slaves from America would found a homeland...
That was the intent, but like most gov't programmes, it failed miserably. Local nationals were cool on the notion from the start. They soon became totally indignant when the newly arrived began slaughtering them. It's a tribal, Afri thing.
[RADIOSHABELLE] Proceeds from illegal logging and charcoal burning inside the Boni Forest are being used to fund terrorists, the authorities say.
Al-Shabaab ... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda... is also benefiting from the sale of game meat by the Boni community.
A crackdown on the loggers and charcoal burners have been launched.
Speaking during the launch, Lamu police commander Muchangi Kioi said security officers in the Linda Boni operation will work closely with police to end the illegal trade.
He said areas, where the trade was taking place, have had frequent al-Shabaab attacks.
Kioi said al-Shabaab sympathizers were endangering the lives of innocent Kenyans. He said it was unfortunate that residents were still supporting terrorists.
"The fact that people burn charcoal and cut timber to fund such terrorist acts is unimaginable. We can’t have such activities going on here," Kioi said.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] US President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... said on Wednesday that North Korean leader Kim Pudge Jong-un ...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished... looked forward to meeting with him, indicating the planned landmark talks between the isolated Asian leader and Republican president will go forward.
"Received message last night from XI JINPING of China that his meeting with KIM JONG UN went very well and that KIM looks forward to his meeting with me," Trump said on Twitter. "In the meantime, and unfortunately, maximum sanctions and pressure must be maintained at all cost!"
Trump also tweeted: "Look forward to our meeting!"
After two days of speculation, China announced on Wednesday that Kim had visited Beijing and met Xi, who elicited a pledge from Kim to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.
The trip was Kim’s first known journey abroad since he assumed power in 2011 and is believed by analysts to serve as preparation for upcoming summits with South Korea and the United States.
Maximum pressure
The White House said on Tuesday that China briefed Trump on the meetings and that the denuclearization pledge was "further evidence that our campaign of maximum pressure is creating the appropriate atmosphere for dialogue with North Korea."
"For years and through many administrations, everyone said that peace and the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula was not even a small possibility," Trump tweeted on Wednesday. "Now there is a good chance that Kim Jong-un will do what is right for his people and for humanity."
Earlier this month, Trump surprised the world by agreeing to meet Kim at a place and time to be determined. South Korea’s national security chief said the first-ever meeting between US and North Korean presidents would take place in May but details of potential talks have not been made public and the White House has said they will only happen if North Korea keeps "several promises."

A resident of Hebron, who does not have a permit to enter Israel, hid behind a baby stroller tucked away in the trunk of a car in order to enter Jerusalem.
He was arrested by border guards who spotted him hiding, and was taken for questioning. In addition, the driver of the vehicle, a resident of the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Isawiya, was arrested. The vehicle itself was confiscated.
Commenting on the arrest, the Israel Police stated that they "operate both on the intelligence and operational levels in order to eliminate the entry of illegal aliens into Israel, Paleostinians who are often involved in property offenses in Israel and sometimes even involved in terrorism."

This is the second such meeting held at state guesthouse Padma in the capital on Wednesday. The first meeting of the national security chiefs was held a year ago in New Delhi.
The prime minister expressed hope that the Bimstec countries will further strengthen their cooperation to stamp out terrorism from the region.
She said containing drug abuse, human trafficking, cyber crime, maritime space threat and sea-level rise due to climate change are challenges for the region.
"We have to come up with a system to face these challenges and find out a solution in a coordinated way," she said.
The prime minister reiterated her government’s zero tolerance policy against terrorism.
"We have taken massive measures to create awareness among the youths, families and educational institutions about terrorism and extreme violence," she said.

There was an obscure cute SciFi novel from 1975 with the KGB approaching the CIA for help in dealing with all the Chinese tourists who just had to visit Russia - the home of communism - and never spent a cent while loudly displaying the superiority of their Chinese products. So of course I couldn't resist this article from Russia!
The book's author: Dallas McCord "Mack" Reynolds Title: "Tomorrow might be different". The last few paragraphs of the book:
"Mr. Edwards," he said incisively, "to use an old Americanism, let's face it. The cold war is over between us. Not in an Armageddon, not in a Gotterdammerung of guided missiles and H-Bombs, but in the face of a problem common to both."
Mike and Kirichenko came to their own feet, their faces set firmly, their glasses upraised.
Mike bit out courageously, slurring only slightly, "The common enemy of all." he toasted. "Tourists! They must and shall be stopped!"
[Carnegie] Contrary to popular belief, Chinese tourism generates very little revenue for the Russian economy. The reason lies in the inner workings of the Chinese tourist economy in Russia, in which visitors are limited to package tours where most payments are made in China or through Chinese banks. The Russian authorities should recognize this problem and stop treating Chinese tourism as the new engine of economic growth.
On February 1, St. Petersburg tour operators called a press conference to discuss a popular but largely misunderstood subject: the impact of Chinese tourism on the Russian economy. They claimed that the growing wave of Chinese tourists brings virtually no revenue to Russia and harms the local tourism industry. And government officials ignore the problem, happily reporting impressive statistics on Chinese tourism to their higher-ups.
As a rule, Chinese visitors take a seven- to nine-day tour that usually includes both Moscow and St. Petersburg. They visit the Hermitage in St. Petersburg and the Kremlin in Moscow, focusing on the palaces’ interior decorations rather than on the works of art and artifacts that they display. Russia’s major attractions fit the Chinese worldview quite well—after all, they also have a walled palatial complex in the middle of their nation’s capital.
Generally speaking, it is China’s lower middle class that sets its sights on Russia. Sixty-three percent of Chinese tourists are women, and 45 percent are over fifty. Most tourists come with a group. There are very few individual travelers because that requires a visa, while group travelers can enter visa-free. Additionally, the Chinese are still afraid to visit Russia without a group leader and an interpreter, because they usually don’t speak foreign languages. And Chinese websites are rife with horror stories of Chinese tourists who were deceived or robbed by Russian police officers, skinheads, or tour guides.
Most of the money that Chinese tourists leave in Russia goes to jewelry and souvenir stores. Profit margins average 200–300 percent here, but for some items—for example, fake amber—they can be 1,000 percent or more. Still, tourists rarely make such expensive purchases. They usually buy simple “amber” crafts and inexpensive golden jewelry. Often, a few copies of the same objects are bought as gifts for one’s wife, mistress, relatives, or co-workers.
[ALMASDARNEWS] A large convoy of forces of Evil and their family members are preparing to depart from the East Ghouta region to northern Syria, a military source told al-Masdar News this afternoon.
According to the military source, over 30 buses filled with 1,723 people will be departing from the East Ghouta shortly.
Of the 1,723 people leaving the East Ghouta today, at least 398 of them are forces of Evil that were previously fighting in the suburbs of Jobar, Zamalka, and ’Arbeen.
With another large convoy heading to northern Syria, almost all of the East Ghouta should be under the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) control by the end of the week.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) discovered a murderous Moslem base inside the newly captured East Ghouta suburb of Harasta, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on Wednesday.
According to SANA, inside this Harasta base was a large cache of weapons that once belonged to the murderous Moslems of Harakat Ahrar al-Sham ...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014... The SANA report would add that Israeli-manufactured mines were discovered among the murderous Moslems weapons.
In addition to discovering this base, the Syrian Army unearthed a large network of tunnels that stretched across the Harasta suburb.

[BuzzFeed] The woman, the first to be sentenced under South African laws criminalizing racist language, called two police officers "kaffirs," a highly offensive term for black South Africans.
NAIROBI ‐ For the first time in South African history, a court on Wednesday sentenced a white woman to prison for making racist comments, a judgment that has given some hope that charges of racism will be treated more seriously.
Vicki Momberg was sentenced to up to three years in prison for an incident that took place in Johannesburg in February 2016, when she was filmed making derogatory comments toward the black police officers who had responded to her call of a reported robbery. She was convicted last November of four counts of "crimen injuria," or the use of racially offensive language.
In the viral video, Momberg can be heard talking to someone on the phone about the police officers dispatched to the scene. She referred to them as "kaffirs," an offensive and derogatory term for black South Africans that was used during apartheid, and which lawmakers have in recent years tried to criminalize along with other forms of hate speech.

Baghdad (Iraqinews.com) ‐ Iraq would take a firm action against The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund.... if the latter violated international laws and penetrated into northern Iraqi territories to strike Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) fighters, a pro-government coalition was quoted as saying Wednesday.
In an exclusive interview with Baghdad Today, Abbas al-Bayati, a member of the State of Law Coalition, said that so far there are no confirmed or official reports of "any Ottoman Turkish penetration into Iraqi territories."
"Turkey cannot cross into Iraqi territories as our country enjoys illusory sovereignty and independence," Bayati said, stressing that any penetration by Ottoman Turkish troops into Iraq would constitute a flagrant violation of international laws and norms of good neighborhood.

[THEHILL] Poland on Wednesday signed off on a deal to buy Raytheon’s latest Patriot air and missile defense system, a move to upgrade the country’s air defenses that took years to negotiate.
The Polish government signed a letter of offer and acceptance with the United States for the first phase of Warsaw’s Wisla program, a two-part procurement of the medium-range, integrated air and missile defense system, according to a statement from U.S. defense contractor Raytheon.
The system includes Northrop Grumman’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS), and Lockheed Martin’s Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement missiles, according to separate company statements.
The deal, which will eventually include eight batteries, is expected to be worth nearly $6 billion.
The new Patriot deal is likely to stoke Russia-NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... tensions. Russian President Vladimir Putin ...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances... has said Moscow views the missile defense systems in eastern Europe ...also known as Moslem Lebensraum... as a "great danger." Putin has also threatened that Russia will be forced to enhance its own missile strike capability.
The sale has long been in the making, with Poland first intending to buy the Patriot system in 2014. A new Polish president in 2015, however, threw those plans into question as the government wanted a look at other possible systems.

Should we look for US military bases being move from Germany to Poland?
[THEHILL] The U.S. military has confirmed that a big shot of an al Qaeda branch in Africa was killed in a U.S. Arclight airstrike in Libya on Saturday.
Musa Abu Dawud, a high-ranking al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) official, was one of two hard boyz killed in the precision strike near Ubari in southwestern Libya, Africa Command (Africom) said in a statement Wednesday.
"Now that operational reporting and the battle damage assessment is fully complete, the command is able to confirm the death of Dawud," Africom said.
Saturday’s strike, which Africom disclosed over the weekend after media requests, was the first U.S. military strike in that country against AQIM. Previously, Africom focused its Libya strikes on the branch of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) around the northern city of Sirte.
Dawud was labeled as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist by the State Department in 2016. He started engaging in terrorist activity as early as 1992, was appointed commander of the southern zone for AQIM in 2012 and was put in charge of a mission in Tunisia in 2013 to recruit and train new members in North Africa on the use of weapons, according to his designation.
He was responsible for a February 2013 attack on the military barracks in Khenchela, Algeria, that injured multiple soldiers, as well as a July 2013 attack on a Tunisian military patrol in the Mount Chaambi area that killed nine soldiers, the designation added.
"Dawud trained AQIM recruits in Libya for attack operations in the region," Africom said in its statement. "He provided critical logistics support, funding and weapons to AQIM, enabling the terrorist group to threaten and attack U.S. and Western interests in the region."
The military assessed no non-combatants were killed in the strike, according to Africom.
The strike was done in coordination with Libya’s Government of National Accord, the United Nations ...an idea whose time has gone... -recognized government of the fractured state, and under authorities given to the U.S. military by the 2001 authorization for the use of military force, Africom added.
"Al-Qa’ida and other terrorist groups, such as ISIS, have taken advantage of under-governed spaces in Libya to establish sanctuaries for plotting, inspiring, and directing terror attacks; recruiting and facilitating the movement of foreign terrorist fighters; and raising and moving funds to support their operations," Africom said.
"Left unaddressed, these organizations could continue to inflict casualties on the civilian populations and security forces, and plot attacks against U.S. citizens and allied interests in the region."

[ALMASDARNEWS] Syrian Presidential Adviser Boutaina Sha’aban stated on Wednesday that Syria will expel both the Ottoman Turkish and U.S. forces from the country.
"We are determined to liberate all of Syria’s territory from forces of Evil and Ottoman Turkish and U.S. occupation forces," Sha’aban told the crowd at the cultural symposium held by the al-Quds International Foundation.
Sha’aban’s comments come just two days after The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... announced that they were going to continue their operations in northern Syria.

So the a-hole wants to go to war with the biggest dog in NATO and the world?
What conceivable hole card could he hold?
No reason the public would see a reason to rebuild his shithole 3rd world nation if he does so.
Maybe some idiot generals or D.C. folk he thinks he owns but not the public. The US public's attitude would be somebody attacked? Break them and leave them broken forever as an example of what not to do.

A little in depth info. Russian mercenaries were not the only people wiped out by the US recently. The Syrians, with the help of the Russians/Wagner put together a small unit called the ISIS Hunters:
They are Syrian older guys who were brought together after ISIS kicked Syria's butt out of Palmyra. They were pretty good at hunting down ISIS. Then they made a fatal mistake when they joined the attempted assault on the US forces and the SDF. Almost 2 dozen of them got wiped out.
[Al Jazeera] Dozens of Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, supporters and activists have been detained in the West Bank over the past two weeks following an attack on the Paleostinian Authority (PA) prime minister's convoy in Gazoo on March 13.
Paleostinian President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas ... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial... accused Hamas of being behind the attack on Rami Hamdallah's motorcade, calling it an "liquidation attempt".
Hamas denied the allegations. No, no! Certainly not! and said it was launching an investigation to uncover who was behind the blast.
Almost two weeks after the attack, two suspects were killed in an operation carried out by Hamas security forces. They were identified as Anas Abu Khousa and Abdul Hadi al-Ashab, unaffiliated with any Paleostinian political faction.
The attack and the subsequent recriminations marked a serious deterioration in relations between Hamas and the PA.
So far, at least 55 Paleostinians have been tossed in the clink Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! as part of a crackdown by the PA on Hamas supporters.
'Arrests must stop'
Hasan Khreisheh, a member of the Paleostinian Legislative Council in the West Bank, told Al Jazeera that the arrest campaign by PA security forces is "incomprehensible and unjustified".
"These arrests must be stopped in favour for a Paleostinian united front to take a stance against the bigger issues at hand, such as US President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... 's decision to move his country's embassy to Jerusalem," Khreisheh said.
"If the PA is serious about confronting these real issues, then they should stop the arrests," he continued. "In light of what the Paleostinian cause is going through, political detention deepens unreasonable disputes."
The MP said the PA leadership and other factions must intervene to stop the political arrests.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Sheikh Ahmed al-Ghamdi, former head of the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Mecca, said that the statement of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ...Crown Prince of Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... as of 2016.... regarding the "abaya" not being obligatory (all black cloak or dress), is consistent with the teachings of Islam.
He pointed out that the black color is not the only one permitted by Islamic law, but it happened due to the exploitation of certain fatwas by "Al Sahwa" group, and the promotion of the concept of the head cover and black color, as the main dress code (hijab) for Saudi women.
Al-Ghamdi said in an interview with Al Arabiya: "The cloak is meant for maintaining a modest look and it does not have to be black. If a woman wears clothes that serve the same purpose for her to be able to perform her duties whether to work or study, that’s fine.
He added: "There is nothing wrong with the dress she wears, if it is not a black cloak, these attires may be different, yet do the necessary covering, without the need for any other dress on top.
Not based on the teachings of Islam
He explained that the color of the abaya and its design is not based on the teachings of Islam, but the main purpose is decency and concealment, "nothing is wrong with the color of the garment or its type."
He also noted that the black abaya dates back to the end of the Ottoman era, but in some hadiths and narrations it was mentioned that "the wives of the Prophet used to wear colors such as pale yellow and rose."
In other stories, he said: "There were some exaggerations obliging women to wear black, they refer to what Umm Salamah said that the women of Ansar appeared like "crows" when the verses referring to women attire were revealed, so they took on the color black as per their interpretation of the women’s reaction back then, but there is nothing that states women are obliged to do so. Other narratives show that the prophet’s wives wore colored clothes."
Al Sahwa group enforced it
In our present day, Al Sahwa group endorsed this understanding which has become part of people’s thoughts and their subconscious that it must be worn by women, and that the cloak should cover the head, be black and loose.
However, a clean conscience makes a soft pillow... the interpretation of the verse, " O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring over themselves [part] of their outer garments," mean that women need to wear something that is not revealing whether it is abaya or any other piece of clothing without a specific distinction," he clarified.

[Al Jazeera] Former Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi is being detained in standards lower than those sanctioned by international law, which could lead to an early death, a panel of British MPs and lawyers said.
In a report released on Wednesday, the Detention Review Panel (DRP), which was commissioned by Morsi's family, said the former leader is "receiving inadequate medical care, particularly inadequate management of his diabetes, and inadequate management of his liver disease".
"The consequence of this inadequate care is likely to be rapid deterioration of his long-term conditions, which is likely to lead to premature death," it said.
The panel said the conditions of his detention could meet the threshold for torture in accordance with Egyptian and international law. It added President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi "could, in principle, be responsible for the crime of torture".

[FoxNews] A suspected Mexican cartel drug kingpin was charged Tuesday in the seizure of 44 pounds of fentanyl from a sting operation late last year, officials said.
Francisco Quiroz-Zamora, 41, was arrested in November after he traveled to New York City to collect a payment from an undercover agent posing as a drug dealer, authorities said. Officials charged him in connection with the opioid seizure at a Bronx hotel and a posh Manhattan apartment.
Authorities used undercover agents to track Quiroz-Zamora’s shipments from Mexico to Arizona and Californian and New York, according to the New York Post.
He allegedly stashed a duffel bag filled with fentanyl above a vending machine at the Bronx hotel and five more pounds was being stored at a Central Park West apartment, according to the New York Daily News.
An investigation into Quiroz-Zamora’s alleged trafficking was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the office of Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget Brennan and other agencies.
Quiroz-Zamora is believed to be a leader of Mexico’s Sinaloa Cartel, according to the New York Post. He was reportedly working under the nickname “Gordo.”
Five of Quiroz-Zamora’s alleged accomplices were also charged in the smuggling ring.
Fatal overdoes of fentanyl reached an all-time high of more than 1,400 in New York City in 2017, officials said.

In fact, Rice's former boss may be joining her at Netflix, as the New York Times first reported earlier this month the 56-year-old was in talks for a deal that would pay him and his wife, former first lady Michelle Obama, for Netflix-only "exclusive content" that would be available to subscribers of the digital streaming service.
Netflix has about 118 million subscribers globally. It was not immediately clear how many shows or episodes would be ordered or how much the Obamas would be paid.
The streaming service recently tried a talk show featuring anti-Trump comedian Chelsea Handler called "Chelsea" that lasted two seasons before getting canceled.

I only got it to watch the last two seasons of Longmire. I was appreciative that they picked up the show, but their service is no more essential to my life than the TV bundle I stopped buying last year. I don't pay Bill Maher's or Rachel Maddow's salary and I don't feel a need to pay Rice's director's compensation either.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish regime demanded on Wednesday that the People’s Protection Units (YPG) immediately withdraw from the key city of Manbij in northeastern Aleppo.
The Ottoman Turkish regime released a statement during their National Security Council meeting, calling on the YPG to leave Manbij before they launch an operation to expel them from the town.

[IsraelTimes] Gadi Eisenkot warns army could use 'a lot of force' to keep protesters from the border; says 'high chance' of military conflict with the Paleostinians this year
Israel has deployed more than a hundred snipers to deal with a Paleostinian march expected to begin on Friday and will authorize them to open fire if it is determined that Israeli lives are in danger, IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot told Hebrew-language media in a series of interviews published Wednesday on the eve of the Jewish festival of Passover and ahead of the state’s 70th anniversary.
In separate interviews with Israel’s three most prominent Hebrew dailies, Eisenkot said he had ordered over a thousand covert operations outside the country, called the Jewish state "invincible," and added he has no intention of entering politics after his tenure is over, as several of his predecessors have done.

[Al Jazeera] A Canadian man who stormed a Quebec City mosque last year and shot and killed six Moslem worshipers has pleaded guilty to the charges against him.
Alexandre Bissonnette, 28, had pleaded not guilty "Wudn't me." previously this week, but formally changed that plea in a Quebec City courtroom on Wednesday.
"I'm ashamed of what I did," Bissonnette said in court as he read a written statement, Canadian media reported.
"I would like to ask for forgiveness for all the pain I've caused you," he said, referring to the victims and their families, "but I know that my actions are unforgivable."
Bissonnette was charged with six counts of first-degree murder and six counts of attempted murder in relation to the attack at the Islamic Cultural Centre in Quebec City on January 29, 2017.
Six men were killed, five others critically maimed, and a total of 19 people suffered injuries in the attack, which took place shortly after evening prayers.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire.... has its eyes set on an important military installation in northern Aleppo, as they look to expand their operations against the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG).
The Mennagh Military Airport has been under the control of the YPG since 2016, when they managed to expel the jihadist rebels from the installation.
In addition to capturing the Mennagh Airport in 2016, the YPG was also able to expel the jihadist rebels from the key town of Tal Rifa’at, which is another area that Turkey has shifted its attention to.
If the Ottoman Turkish military and their rebel allies capture the Mennagh Airport, they will have access to their first airbase inside the Aleppo Governorate.
Furthermore, the Ottoman Turkish military can use the Mennagh Airport to launch attacks against the YPG forces in Tal Rifa’at.
Despite threats from Turkey, the YPG maintains they will not withdraw from Tal Rifa’at, adding that they will fight as long as they have to in order to hold onto the town.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has given Jaish al-Islam ...Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam) was established by Zahran Alloush, the son of Saudi-based religious scholar Abdullah Mohammed Alloush, after Syrian authorities released him from prison in mid-2011 where he had been serving time for his Salafist activism. The group claimed responsibility for carrying out the July 2012 Damascus bombing that killed Defense Minister Dawoud Rajiha, Deputy Defense Minister Asef Shawkat, and Assistant Vice President Hassan Turkmani. It was a driving force behind actions in the Damascus region. It cooperated and conducted joint operations with al-Nusra. In Sptember 2013 Saudi Arabia engineered Liwa al-Islam's merger with fifty other more or less Salafist groups as a counterweight to al-Nusra, which the Learned Elders of Islam considered was growing too powereful... a final opportunity to respond to their offer regarding the future of Douma, a military source told al-Masdar News this afternoon.
According to the source, the Syrian Army informed Jaish al-Islam that their decision to surrender Douma must come directly after the last rebel group leaves Jobar and Zamalka.
If they fail to meet this timeline, the Syrian Army will begin their long-awaited offensive to capture Douma.
Jaish al-Islam was supposed to give the Syrian Army and Russian military their answer today; however, they did not respond, despite repeated attempts to by the Russian Reconciliation Center communicate with this Islamist group.
