Norfolk Southern to Pay $600 Million to Settle Ohio Train Derailment Lawsuit
[CHD] Norfolk Southern will pay $600 million — a mere fraction of the company’s 2023 profits — for the toxic derailment of its train in East Palestine, Ohio, last year. The train spilled more than a million pounds of hazardous chemicals in East Palestine.

The decision deals with everyone within a 20-mile radius of the derailment. The train spilled more than a million pounds of hazardous chemicals in East Palestine.

"Individuals and businesses will be able to use compensation from the settlement in any manner they see fit to address potential adverse impacts from the derailment," the company said in a statement.

"This could include healthcare needs and medical monitoring, property restoration and diminution, and compensation for any net business loss."

Hamas financier Muhammad Ibrahim Sorour Tango Uniform
See also here.
[Cradle] A Lebanese man accused of serving as a middleman for transferring funds from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to the Palestinian resistance in Gaza was found murdered in a town outside Beirut on 9 April.

Muhammad Ibrahim Sorour, 57 years old, went missing one week ago in the mountain town of Beit Mery, where he worked at a currency exchange shop. His body was found on Tuesday by Lebanese security forces inside a villa in the same town.

According to sources in the know who spoke with The Cradle, Sorour's body showed signs of torture — including bullet wounds in his feet and hands. Investigators also found thousands of dollars strewn around his body and two Glock 19 pistols submerged in bleach, along with clothes and gloves.
Goodness. Someone was enthusiatic about his work.
According to information obtained by the Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar, the villa had been rented to an unnamed tenant who "disappeared from sight."

Saudi news outlet Al-Hadath reported on Wednesday that the Israeli Mossad was behind his murder. Israel's Channel 12 news repeated the claim.

Sorour was sanctioned by the US treasury in 2019 for allegedly funneling "tens of millions of dollars" from Iran's IRGC Quds Force through Lebanon's Hezbollah to the armed wing of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the Qassam Brigades.

"As of 2014, Sorour was identified as in charge of all money transfers" between the Quds Force and the Qassam Brigades, the US Treasury claims.

Senior Hezbollah money changer found shot to death near Beirut
See also here.
[JPost] The security source identified the victim as Mohammad Surur who worked in currency exchanges and money transfers, including between Iran-backed terror groups opposed to Israel.

A Lebanese man sanctioned for allegedly funneling millions of dollars to Hamas was found dead in a mountain town outside Beirut, a security source told Reuters on Wednesday.

The security source identified the victim as Mohammad Surur and said he hailed from a northeastern town near the Syrian border and worked in currency exchanges and money transfers, including between Iran-backed terror groups opposed to Israel.

He was found dead in a house in the town of Beit Meri on Tuesday, with several gunshot wounds to his legs, the Lebanese security source said.

That, along with a large of sum money found on the body, led Lebanon's security forces to conclude that Surur had been subject to a violent interrogation, not attempted theft, the source added.

Surur was sanctioned in 2019 by the US Treasury, which said he had transferred "tens of millions of dollars per year" between the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' external branch, the Quds Force, and Hamas's armed wing the Qassam Brigades.

He would have been 57 at the time of his death, according to biographical details published by the Treasury.

The Treasury said in 2019 that Surur was also linked to Lebanon's Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas. Surur has been seen at public events hosted by Hezbollah in Lebanon but did not appear to have a formal or senior role directly within the terror group, a source familiar with Hezbollah's operations told Reuters.

Hezbollah has been exchanging fire across Lebanon's southern border with Israel in parallel with the Gaza war.

One user fired off the first salvo on X, where he wrote: “US Navy just killing it on Instagram,” alongside laughing and cringing emojis.

“Man. The scope is annoying, but that grip placement is downright WILD,” another responded.

A third said: “lol it’s completely pointless. You may as well just grab the mag.”

And yet another took aim at the Yaste’s leadership bona fides.

“Boat captain of a guided-missile destroyer is the chef’s kiss,” he wrote.

One user on X wrote: “US Navy just killing it on Instagram,” alongside laughing and cringing emojis.

Soon after eagle-eyed viewers spotted the tactical blunder, the Navy yanked the embarrassing image from the official Defense Department database.

“Thank you for pointing out our rifle scope error in the previous post. Picture has been removed until EMI is completed!” the US Navy said after removing the photo.

Government Corruption
Deranged Jack Smith gets smacked down by a judge who is still willing to follow the ‘innocent until proven guilty' paradigm
[American Thinker] Poor little Jack Smith—out of nowhere, a judge in Trump’s "classified documents" case fails to rubber stamp the prosecution’s unethical motions, and essentially declare Trump guilty before a trial even takes place. Judge Aileen Cannon correctly ruled that a jury should be able to contemplate the validity of Trump’s Presidential Records Act defense—but Jack Smith doesn’t want the jury to hear that because it is inconvenient to his case. Here’s this, from Politico:
Tensions flare between special counsel Jack Smith and Judge Aileen Cannon

Amid delays and uncertainty over Donald Trump’s classified documents case, a strained dynamic between his prosecutor and his judge has intensified.

Maybe the judge should remind the jury that the Justice Department let Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton off the hook for possessing and mishandling classified documents, even though they never had the cover of the PRA, and therefore no right to personally have the documents in the first place. They had no defense. After all, Jack Smith, the media, and other Democrats always want equal treatment under the law, don’t they? They certainly wouldn’t want guilty people to evade justice, and Trump to be treated with a bias, would they?

Incidentally, the PRA gives a president the "exclusive responsibility for the custody and management of the Presidential records of their administration while in office." At least, that’s according to the National Archives. Furthermore, the National Archives and Records Administration has "no formal role" in how a president chooses to handle the records. And, Trump was president, and he maintained his administration’s records as he saw fit. He certainly didn’t scatter them across the floor in an office like the picture the FBI and media showed the public to intentionally mislead; they were at Mar-a-Lago, one of the most secure residences in the world! Arguably, more secure than the White House—you can be sure that if cocaine had been discovered in a very private area of Mar-a-Lago, security would know exactly who left it there, and immediately. Apparently, people can leave illicit drugs in secure WH lockers, or right outside the Situation Room, or wherever they now claim it was found (the location of the cocaine has changed multiple times), and WH security somehow can’t determine to whom the powder belongs.

It is so much easier for a law-faring prosecutor when a judge works in lockstep with them! Poor little Jack Smith!

Donald Trump to 'greenlight' Putin's destruction of Ukraine, ex-CIA chief claims
[Daily Express US] Former CIA director John Brennan says he is "worried" about a possible second Donald Trump presidency - and fears it could spell disaster for Europe.

A second Donald Trump presidency poses a risk to Ukraine in their fight against Russia, according to a former director of the CIA.

John Brennan, who served as head of the intelligence service until 2017, says he is "worried" about poll data indicating a tight race between Trump and Democrat rival Joe Biden.

Recalling a meeting with the Republican during his last term, Brennan said he felt Trump "wasn't quailfied then and isn't qualified now." He highlights NATO and the US relationship with foreign allies as an area that could suffer.

Prominent GOP members have called for a re-assessment of funding to Ukraine as Washington has already supplied around $75 billion.

And the former spy chief told France's RTBF he fears Trump could cut funding altogether.

15 US Agencies Knew Wuhan Lab Was 'Trying To Create A Coronavirus Like COVID-19': Rand Paul
[ZERO] In a Tuesday op-ed, Paul writes that government officials from 15 federal agencies "knew in 2018 that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was trying to create a coronavirus like COVID-19."
These officials knew that the Chinese lab was proposing to create a COVID 19-like virus and not one of these officials revealed this scheme to the public. In fact, 15 agencies with knowledge of this project have continuously refused to release any information concerning this alarming and dangerous research.

Government officials representing at least 15 federal agencies were briefed on a project proposed by Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance and the Wuhan Institute of Virology. -Rand Paul
Paul is talking about the DEFUSE project, which was revealed after DRASTIC Research uncovered documents showing that DARPA had been presented with a proposal for EcoHealth to perform gain-of-function research on bat coronavirus.

If your are footing the bill for something, it generally follows that you have some idea about the item or service being purchased.

Undercover Video: CIA Officer/Former FBI Boasts: We "Can Put Anyone in Jail.. Set Them Up" – FBI "Did What We Wanted" with Alex Jones "Took His Money Away"
[Gateway] A CIA Officer/former FBI official is on an undercover video boasting about using the might of the federal government to ’jail anyone’ by ’setting them up.’

Gavin O’Blennis, a Contracting Officer for the CIA told an undercover journalist with Sound Investigations that the FBI "can put anyone in jail...set ’em up!"

"We call it a nudge," O’Blennis said, adding the FBI can put "problematic" right-wing journalists like Tucker Carlson and Alex Jones in jail.

O’Blennis said of Infowars founder Alex Jones: The FBI "took his money away," and ’chopped his legs off.’

Gavin O’Blennis said at least 20 undercover FBI agents were at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

"I thought you said that there were FBI agents in the crowd at January 6?" the undercover journalist asked O’Blennis.

He replied, "There are. There always are when there’s a big protest in DC. Just in case it gets out of hand like that...I mean, I’m talking they maybe had 20. You needed 1,000 to get rid of that crowd."

He also said the FBI uses "embellished" news and "fake social media" to "really get people mad."

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Why Does Hamas Keep Rejecting Deals With Israel? We Might Have Just Learned the Answer.
[Townhall] "They're dead, Jim"
This news is both deeply concerning for those who care about the fate of the hostages kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th -- and entirely unsurprising, given the endless dishonesty of the terrorist group. Yes, an organization that is willing and eager to slaughter, rape and torture many hundreds of people is also willing and eager to lie -- particularly if it helps them manipulate their way to survival. Having executed the massacre six months ago, Hamas' top priority has been to avoid destruction at the hands of the Israelis. Their best tools for doing so have been the civilian human shields they exploit to make Israel's job as hard as possible, the 'international community' (including the Biden administration, horrifyingly) playing along with their supporters' manufactured 'genocide' smears, and the hostages.

Hamas has been very willing to talk endlessly about hostage releases, with Israel offering to free hundreds of convicted Palestinian terrorists and violent criminals from prison as part of a deal. But Hamas keeps rejecting deals, including lopsided ones that would at least buy them significant ceasefires, to boot. Why? It now appears as though Hamas knows a lot of their human bargaining chips are dead:

After ## attempts to work with out a realistic agreement with the Terrorist group called HAMAS and and their supporters. They have repeatedly shown a refusal to seriously discuss, even violated and/or failed to honor previous agreements.

Given HAMAS' clearly documented history in this matter. It clear their negotiations are nothing more than a facade on their part at this time.

A process to hide their treatment and true numbers of surviving civilian hostages, that were kidnapped, tortured, and killed, while in their confinement.

So just announce a Do or Die date, if Hamas does not seriously move toward with the negotiations and quickly agree to a hostage return date.

If not met, them resume tracking down capturing and placing its leadership on trial..

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Militants kill five policemen in southeast Iran
[Rudaw] At least five Iranian coppers were killed on Tuesday in festivities with a Baluchi Death Eater group in the southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, state media reported.

"This evening, a number of miscreants attacked a police patrol that was on a mission in Sib and Souran district, and unfortunately five coppers were martyred in this attack and one person was injured," Alireza Marhamati, deputy governor of Sistan and Baluchestan, told state media.

Jaish al-Adl (Justice Army), a Baluchi Sunni jihadist group operating across the restive, sparsely-populated border regions, grabbed credit for the attack.

Sistan and Baluchestan province, near the Pak border, is one of the only Sunni-majority provinces in Shiite-dominated Iran. There are a number of Baluchi gangs active in the area that carry out regular bombings and suicide kabooms.

Jaish al-Adl, has carried out a number of suicide attacks on Iranian security forces, killing dozens in the border areas. The group was added to the list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations in 2019 by the administration of former US president Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
.

The designation was in response to a deadly attack by the group on the IRGC, which killed 27 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members near Sistan and Baluchestan’s scenic provincial capital of Zahedan.

Last week, Jaish al-Adl carried out one of their deadliest attacks in years, killing 16 members of Iranian security forces, including IRGC members, in Sistan and Baluchestan.

ISIS kills two SDF members in eastern Syria: Monitor
[Rudaw] At least two members of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were killed in an attack carried out by Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) button men in Syria’s eastern Deir ez-Zor province, a war monitor reported on Tuesday.

"Two members of the Syrian Democratic Forces were killed in an attack carried out by ISIS cells with machine guns targeting a checkpoint ... in the town of Dhiban in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor," said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britannia-based war monitor.

It is the latest in a series of rising ISIS attacks in Syria, particularly in the vast expanses of its eastern and northern deserts where the group launches surprise attacks amid a security vacuum.

The button men were able to flee the area after carrying out the attack, according to the monitor.

ISIS rose to power and seized swathes of Iraqi and Syrian land in a brazen offensive in 2014, declaring a so-called "caliphate."

While the group was declared territorially defeated in 2017 and 2019 respectively, it still continues to pose serious security risks through hit-and-run attacks, bombings, and abductions, especially across the vast expanses of the Syrian desert as well as several Iraqi provinces.

The Kurdish-led and US-backed SDF, who control northeast Syria (Rojava), fought the lion’s share of the battle against ISIS and arrested thousands of the terror group’s fighters along with their wives and children when they crushed ISIS territorially and took the group’s last stronghold in Syria in 2019.

In late March, the SDF warned that ISIS still poses a threat to the world and the region as its defeat "requires dismantling its ideological breeding ground,"

"ISIS is still trying to recruit new terrorist elements, attempting to radicalize them into its ranks," said the SDF, calling on the international community to "collaborate effectively" with its forces.

On Wednesday, a member of Rojava’s internal security forces (Asayish) and another SDF fighter were killed in separate ISIS attacks in Hasaka province.

Israeli airstrikes target regime base in Daraa: Monitor
[Rudaw] Suspected Israeli Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s targeted warehouses belonging to the Syrian regime in the countryside of Daraa province, southwest of the country, a war monitor reported on Tuesday.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that the attacks were launched after midnight, targeting the town of Mahajjah. The warehouses stored weapons and ammunition belonging to pro-Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
militias, SOHR added.

The strikes led to the destruction of the weapons, said the monitor with no reports of casualties.

The attack comes a week after airstrikes, attributed to Israel, hit the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus, killing at least seven people, including two generals of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Monday visited the consular building of his country's embassy in Damascus, and vowed that Israel will be "punished" for the deadly attack.

Israel has yet to comment on the attack on the embassy, while the Pentagon has denied any involvement.

Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes on regime-controlled areas of Syria throughout its nearly 13-year civil war, often claiming to strike pro-Iran militias such as Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. ’s Hezbollah, which supports the Syrian army.

Israel has intensified its strikes on Syria since October 7. It has attacked Syrian territory at least 34 times since the start of the year, killing at least 141 people and wounding over 60 others, according to SOHR.

Update from the Times of Israel at 10:40 a.m. ET:
Israel says it hit Syrian army post being used by Hezbollah

The IDF says it carried out a strike against a Syrian Army position in southern Syria, near Israel’s border, which was identified as being used by Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

The IDF says it has intelligence indicating Hezbollah operatives used the Syrian Army site.

“The IDF holds the Syrian regime accountable for all activities which take place within its territory and will not allow for any attempted actions which could lead to the entrenchment of Hezbollah on the Syrian front,” the military says in a statement.

Meanwhile, strikes were also carried out against Hezbollah observation posts and other infrastructure in southern Lebanon in the past few hours, the IDF says.

Areas near Dhayra and Tayr Harfa in southern Lebanon were also shelled with artillery to “remove threats,” according to the military.

Security Alert: U.S. Embassy in Nairobi Issues Warning on Threats in Mogadishu
[ShabelleMedia] The U.S. Embassy in Nairobi has released a security alert regarding potential threats to various locations in Mogadishu, Somalia, including Aden Adde International Airport.

The Embassy has taken immediate action by canceling all movements of U.S. Embassy personnel for Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

The U.S. Department of State’s level-four travel advisory ("do not travel") for Somalia remains in effect due to the presence of several significant safety concerns.

These include crime, terrorism, civil unrest, health issues, kidnapping, and piracy. The U.S. Embassy urges all U.S. citizens in Somalia to remain vigilant and take appropriate precautions.

The Embassy advises U.S. citizens to review their security plans, remain aware of their surroundings, including local events, monitor local news stations for updates, and maintain a high level of vigilance.

It is also recommended that U.S. citizens enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive alerts and make it easier to locate them in an emergency.

The Embassy reminds U.S. citizens that the security environment in Somalia is fluid and can deteriorate without warning. In the event of an emergency, U.S. citizens should contact the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi or the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

This security alert serves as a reminder of the ongoing risks associated with travel to Somalia and the importance of staying informed and prepared.

At least 40 Shaboobs toes up in Somalia battle
[Garowe] al-Qaeda's network in Africa; the al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...

, suffered immense losses on Monday following an operation conducted by the Somali National Army (SNA) with the help of members of the international partners, who are closely working on Somalia’s state-building project.

A report by the state media revealed that at least 50 al-Shabaab bandidos bully boyz were killed in central regions within Harardhere in the Mudug region. If confirmed, this would be the heaviest loss to the bandidos bully boyz this year in the Horn of Africa nation.

The Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
targeted Barag Garguurte village which is located at least 20 kilometers from Harardhere, a town that is frequently under al-Shabaab raids. Harardhere was recently captured by the bandidos bully boyz after the abrupt exit of SNA soldiers.

Among those killed in the airstrike was Ahmed Jiis, a senior member of the group who has been coordinating attacks against government officials, security teams, and innocent civilians. His elimination was termed as a 'huge success'.

"Over 50 members of al-Shabaab terrorists, including the notorious leader Ahmed Jiis, were eliminated in a precise airstrike conducted by the National Armed Forces, with backing from international security partners," read the statement.

"The successful operation was aimed at a Death Eater convergence located in Baraagta-Gurguurte, in proximity to the Harardhere district of the Mudug region," state media further reports.

The attack in Barag Garguurte coincided with most of the areas in the southern part of the Mudug region being under the control of the al-Shabaab group. The government has heightened operations against al-Shabaab bandidos bully boyz throughout Ramadan.

Interestingly, the US embassy in Nairobi announced alerts on possible al-Shabaab attacks within Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia. Since then, security teams have been activated across the country to deal with impending threats.
An earlier Garowe article adds:
It is not clear who fired the drone strike but multiple international partners - at the Somali Federal Government's request - have conducted aerial bombardments against the Al-Qaeda-linked terror group.

The airstrike hit the remote village which is exactly 20 kilometers from Harardhere, a town that is frequently under Al-Shabaab attacks. The town was recently retaken by the militants after Somali National Army withdrew from the area.

A statement from the federal government confirmed the airstrike on Monday, noting that the militants had been gathering within the area potentially to plan an attack against security forces and innocent civilians in the region.

"These days, the Khawarij have been bringing vehicles into the area. The airstrike destroyed army vehicles and killed members of the terrorists. Three vehicles were also burnt," the statement added.

The government did not specify the number of militants killed in the airstrike but mentioned that the group suffered a significant loss. The al-Shabaab militants have not stated concerning the latest losses in the country.

Somalia has increased the intensity of the fight against Al-Shabaab militants with over 4,000 losing lives recently after several operations. The second phase of operations against the group is set to kick off in southern regions either Jubaland or Southwest states being the targets.

Moroccan protesting Israel ties, war in Gaza given five-year prison sentence
[IsraelTimes] Moroccan court ruling comes after recent mass pro-Paleostinian demonstrations against Israeli ’massacres’ in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...

An activist muppet who criticized Morocco’s decision to normalize relations with Israel was sentenced to five years in prison, as some of the Arab world’s largest pro-Paleostinian protests continue to sweep the country.

Abdul Rahman Zankad of Mohammedia, Morocco, was arrested in March after posting on Facebook about the Israel-Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", war and Morocco’s 2020 decision to establish diplomatic ties with Israel, the Moroccan Space for Human Rights said in a statement.

A court on Monday found him guilty of insulting a constitutional institution and incitement. He was also fined 50,000 Moroccan dirhams ($5,000). The civil liberty advocacy group, which organizes the legal defense of protesters, called the charges baseless and said the proceedings violated Zankad’s right to a fair trial.

Tens of thousands of protesters across the political spectrum have taken to the streets in Morocco to denounce Israel and express support for Paleostinian groups, including Hamas. The protesters have criticized Israel’s allies, including the United States, and chanted demands for the government to "overturn normalization."

Morocco was one of four Arab nations to establish ties with Israel in 2020, as part of the US-brokered Abraham Accords, which led to both the US and Israel recognizing Morocco’s claim over the disputed Western Sahara.

The fledgling rapprochement between the North African country and Israel had made steady progress since 2020, but that has been thrown into reverse by the deadly Israel-Hamas conflict.

Authorities have allowed protests, with few exceptions, including not allowing a recently planned rally at a northern Moroccan university. Some members of parliament have backed their demands. Both the Foreign Ministry and the Royal Palace have issued statements denouncing the war and expressing solidarity for Paleostinians in Gaza, but have not signaled any intent to cut ties with Israel.

Pro-Paleostinian demonstrations had declined in recent years in Morocco, but have surged since the Israel-Hamas war broke out. This past Saturday saw thousands of people demonstrating in Morocco’s commercial capital of Casablanca against what they termed as "massacres" carried out by Israel in Gaza.

The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza claims that more than 32,000 Paleostinians have been killed by Israel in the Israel-Hamas war, but the number cannot be independently verified and is believed to include both Hamas snuffies and civilians. The IDF says it has killed over 13,000 button men in Gaza, in addition to some 1,000 snuffies who were killed inside Israel on and immediately following October 7. The IDF has lost some 260 soldiers fighting in Gaza.

Morocco’s constitution generally allows for freedom of expression, although it is illegal to criticize the monarchy or King Mohammed VI, and those who do can face prosecution. Human rights associations have raised concerns about a rise in prosecutions stemming from online posts in recent years.

Zankad is a member of Morocco’s Al Adl Wal Ihsane, a banned but tolerated Islamist association that has been a driving force behind many of the country’s protests since the war began.

On Monday, the group said his sentence "only serves to solidify the certainty that we are in a state riddled by authoritarianism and tyranny."

"We condemn this unjust ruling in the strongest terms. It is a continuation of the unjust rulings targeting opponents from Al Adl Wal Ihsane, journalists, and leaders of the Rif Movement," it added, referencing a 2016 protest movement whose leaders were later sentenced and imprisoned.

The group has also condemned the prosecutions of other opponents of normalization. That includes Said Boukioud, who in November was sentenced to three years in prison for insulting the king in a series of Facebook posts about normalization.

It also includes 13 protesters who were arrested in Sale, Morocco, in November for incitement and organizing an unauthorized demonstration after they blocked the entrance to the French grocery store Carrefour. In Morocco and elsewhere, the chain has faced boycotts since its franchises in Israel announced they were providing food to Israel’s military last year.

Their case has not yet been decided.

, cyberattacks by Iran and Hezbollah in the region and beyond started around the clock against Israel," said Portnoy, head of the Israel National Cyber Directorate, at the 10th global Cybertech conference in Tel Aviv.

"The attack intensity is higher than ever before with Iranian and Hezbollah groups cooperating to attack Israel in every sector," he added.

Portnoy disclosed that the Islamic Theocratic Republic’s Intelligence Ministry has civilian proxies conducting cyberattacks against Israeli targets under the guise of a tech company, working from an office building in the heart of Teheran. The civilian hacking squad affiliated with the Iranian Intelligence Ministry and the Hezbollah-linked group, Lebanese Cedar, was behind the cyberattack on Ziv Medical Center in the northern Israeli city of Safed in November.

The cyberattack failed to disrupt the hospital’s operations, but the hacking group managed to extract sensitive medical information.

In the first three months following the October 7 Hamas-led massacre in southern Israel, the number of cyberattacks Israel experienced was 2.5 times higher than in previous years, with a total of 3,380 incidents recorded, according to the National Cyber Directorate’s annual report for 2023. During the period, about 800 of the cyber assaults were categorized as having "significant potential for damage," according to the report.

Portnoy also spoke about the hacking squad’s recent attempts to damage various sectors in Israel, including academia, tourism, media, finance, transportation, health, government, and technology. Despite increased cyber operations during the war, it did not succeed in inflicting substantial economic damage, he said.

"I strongly recommend every hacker especially those working for Iran to think about the potential implications of cyberterrorism against Israel or its allies — even if you are doing it from a civilian office at the heart of Teheran: We know you," Portnoy said.

Earlier this month, the Justice Ministry said it was looking into a "cyber incident" after activist hackers protesting against the war in Gaza said they managed to breach the ministry’s servers and retrieve hundreds of gigabytes of data

Speaking to an audience of cybersecurity experts and company and government representatives from 60 countries, Portnoy emphasized that in cyberspace there are no borders.

"Iran is trying to harm business continuity," Portnoy cautioned. "With one push of a button it is Israel, and tomorrow it can be anywhere else so we need to fight cyberterrorism together."

"In cyber matters, we need a common language between countries," he urged.

Also speaking at the conference, Gil Shwed, founder and executive chairman of cybersecurity giant Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., said that the number of Iranian and Hezbollah-backed cyberattacks has more than doubled since the outbreak of the war.

"We are seeing our enemies becoming stronger, with more sophisticated attacks, as the internet is an open market," Shwed noted. "A lot of innovation in cyberspace is coming from Israel but the market can’t absorb so many technologies."

"We need to consolidate the technologies and platforms and work together in cyberspace to block the attack, and prevent the damage," he said.

[IsraelTimes] Centcom: 5,000 small arms, 500,000 rounds confiscated over 2 years handed to Kyiv to help ‘defend against Russian invasion’ and ‘stop Iran’s destabilizing activities’ in Red Sea

...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
, the US military said Tuesday.

The transfer last week came as Ukraine suffers from significant shortages of ammunition and US Republican politicians block new aid, but it does not address Kyiv’s need for key items such as artillery and air defense munitions.

"The US government transferred over 5,000 AK-47s, machine guns, sniper rifles, RPG-7s and over 500,000 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition to the Ukrainian armed forces" on Thursday, the US Central Command said on social media.

"These weapons will help Ukraine defend against Russia’s invasion" and are enough material to equip a brigade, it said,

The arms and ammunition were seized between May 2021 and February 2023 from four "stateless vessels" as they were being transferred from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards to the Houthi rebels in Yemen, Centcom said.

on Iran’s embassy in Damascus killed seven Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps members.

Among them was IRGC Gen. Mohammad Reza Zahedi, 65, commander of Iran’s covert operations in Syria and Lebanon, via which some of the weapons were smuggled into the West Bank, Israeli, Iranian and US officials told the Times. The IRGC is a US-designated terrorist organization.

The Times also cited the US and Iranian officials, as well as two Israeli officials, as saying that a key part of the smuggling route was the target of a March 26 Israeli airstrike on eastern Syria that was said to have killed over 15 people.

According to the report, most of the weapons smuggled were small arms such as handguns and assault rifles, though it was unclear how many arms overall Iran had brought to the West Bank. Israeli officials said that the contraband included some advanced weapons, including antitank missiles and rocket-propelled grenades.

The Shin Bet on March 25 also revealed that it had foiled an Iranian plot to smuggle advanced weapons into the West Bank, naming a senior Fatah official living in Lebanon as party to the plan.

In a statement to the Times, the Shin Bet said it "takes very seriously involvement in activities directed by Iran and its affiliates and will continue to carry out active measures at all times to monitor and thwart any activity that endangers the security of the state of Israel."

Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
, Amir Saeid Iravani, did not comment on the smuggling operation, but told the Times that Iran thinks "the sole effective avenue for resisting the occupation by the Zionist regime is through armed resistance."

"Paleostinian resistance forces possess the capability to manufacture and procure the necessary armaments for their cause," added the ambassador.

Two of the US officials said that some of the weapons go from Syria into Lebanon, where criminal gangs pick them up at the Israeli border and move them to the West Bank. This, an analyst said, is the more difficult route, because the Lebanese frontier is heavily patrolled by both United Nations peacekeepers and the Israeli Defense Forces.

Another route on which the weapons travel, according to the Times, goes from Syria through Jordan, which shares a "porous" border of roughly 480 kilometers (300 miles) with Israel.

The military censor in August revealed that Israeli security forces had previously thwarted an attempt to smuggle Iranian-made explosives into Israel through the Jordanian border in the Jordan Valley, just south of the Sea of Galilee.

In April, Israel arrested a Jordanian politician, Imad al-Adwan, who was caught at the Allenby Bridge border crossing with a dozen assault rifles and 200 handguns in tow. It was unclear what the weapons’ source was.

The previous August, after busting a gun-smuggling network along the Jordanian border, the IDF said it had seen a "significant rise" in attempts to smuggle weapons from Jordan.

A 2023 paper from the West Point military academy’s Combating Terrorist Center put the rise at 23 in the last quarter of 2022, up from three in the first quarter of 2021. According to the research paper, the Jordanian border lent itself to arms smuggling because its south, along the Arava desert, is too long and densely populated to effectively patrol, whereas the border’s north, in the Jordan Valley, is too hilly to properly surveil.

"These hills cause us dead areas, because of all the small channels," a military commander in the area told The Times of Israel’s Emanuel Fabian in a 2022 report, cited by the research paper.

"It’s impossible to control. I can’t put a soldier on each peak. We are at probably the best vantage point, and you can’t see what’s happening in each channel," added the officer

"Nobody can get through with a car, but by foot? With ease," he said.

National security researcher Afshon Ostovar told the Times that "the West Bank really needs to be the next frontier that Iran will penetrate and proliferate weapons into, because if they are able to do that then the West Bank will become just as big a problem, if not bigger, as Gaza."

According to Ostovar, Iran’s focus on the West Bank is a result of the Islamic Theocratic Republic’s understanding that it would be difficult to access Gaza in the foreseeable future.
A lovely thought. Not only that, but how many times has Gaza ruined Iran’s carefully laid plans to pinch Israel between simultaneous attacks from Gaza, the West Bank, and Hezbollah in Lebanon intended to overwhelm Israeli defense and wipeout those troublesome Jews once and for all. Clearly Hamas is too weak a reed to lean on, when real jihad is wanted.

So either the entire gallery was uploaded to an AI and streamed back, or my photos were indexed into topical groups via some facial and object recognition by the stupid phone.

Training a neural networks takes a *bleep*load of data and lots and lots of arithmetic. However, once you have the trained model, putting it to use for tasks like image classification (the inference phase) just needs enough compute power to do a bit of matrix multiplication. Nowadays, even little punk-ass processors like you find in phones have some hardware acceleration.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Meghan Markle has no 'regret' of leaving Royal Family
[GEO.TV] Princess Meghan Markle
...unlikable American former starlet married to the formerly likable Prince Harry. Chock full of lefty political opinions, Markle's most important characteristic is that she is Black, even though she doesn't look it. Her mother, y'see, is half black and her father is white, which would make her a quarter Black. Her half brother described her (to her husband, before their marriage) as a jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage. Once married, she was too good for the Royals and she and Harry decamped to Beverly Hills, kind of like the Clampetts did, thus making a joke of Harry and the royal family heritage...
seemingly has no regrets of leaving the Royal Family.
"Yeah. My fambly's way royaler than theirs!"
The Duchess of Sussex feels wronged by Prince Harry’s low class relatives and is aware that she deserves an apology.
After all, she is the center of the universe...

Royal expert Tom Quinn claims: "Megan doesn't feel guilty about Kate, because she feels that Kate should've been the one person in the Royal Family to back her against every difficulty."
"Why's she get to be Princess of Wales, and I'm just a dumb duchess of someplace?"
Speaking to The Mirror, he continues: "Apart from anything else, Meghan knew Kate was an outsider, so she just couldn't understand why Kate always towed the Royal line rather than supporting her, Meghan, the other outsider."
She probably toad the Royal line because she considers herself a Royal, if only by marriage..
Some say towed, some toed, and clearly some toad. In the duchess’s case, I’d definitely go with toad, but no kisses from the hubster are going to turn her into a princess…
However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
Meghan is upset due to Kate’s sudden health crisis.
"She has a health crisis! Why can't I have a health crisis?"
"It's fatal, dear!"
"Shut up! And do something about that beard!"

Quinn says: "Kate's cancer diagnosis has been a real shock for Meghan, but she can see no way to patch up the relationship simply because it has become so poisonous."
"I wanna be a princess! If she dies can I be a princess?"
"No, dear."
"Shut up."
"Yes, dear."

The royal expert added: "She also doesn't want people saying that she is trying to make things up with Kate just because Kate is ill. Meghan still feels Kate was in the wrong and should apologise before they try to build bridges."
"Harry! Have the doorways widened! I can't fit my head through them anymore!"
"Yes, dear."
"This is all her fault!"
"Yes, dear."
"Shut up."
"Yes, dear."

She is married to a royal duke. Technically she is Mrs. Duke Harry, not a duchess in her own right. They are no linger working royals, so in that sense they left The Firm, but he has not been disowned. To be fully welcomed back they’d have to do some serious groveling, but they’d better get a move on, as it sounds like Papa Charles will not be long on the throne… and Brother Wills is not happy with the problems his little bro’s temper tantrum has been causing.

Colonel McGregor: Odessa and Kharkov may become part of Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Ukraine may lose part of its territories, especially under attack from Odessa and Kharkov, which may well go to Russia. This assumption was made by retired US Army Colonel and former adviser to the head of the Pentagon Douglas McGregor on April 8 in an interview with the YouTube channel Daniel Davis / Deep Dive.

“The Russians will eventually draw the map they want. I still believe that they will include Kharkov and Odessa,” the military expert said.

Douglas McGregor explained that Russia never had a goal to obtain the entire territory of Ukraine. According to him, Russian leader Vladimir Putin expected the West to show prudence and abandon the idea of including this country in NATO.

The colonel also said that the Russian military is “moving forward.”

“I think things will pick up when the ground gets solid again. We are talking about a full-scale offensive along the entire front line,” McGregor suggested.

As Regnum reported, Ukraine will surrender Kharkov to Russia within a few weeks due to the inability of Ukrainian air defense to resist Russian strikes, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter said on April 8 in an interview with the Dialogue Works YouTube channel.
Ritter again? That pedophile MAP freak?
Ritter believes that the situation has changed, and Russia is launching glide bomb attacks on the city, destroying all necessary targets.

The head of the region's military administration, Oleg Sinegubov, said on the Rada TV channel that the Ukrainian authorities are considering the issue of organizing the forced evacuation of families with children from two districts in the north of the Kharkov region.

Members of the North Atlantic Alliance believe that they are not in a state of war with Russia and do not want this. The Commander-in-Chief of NATO's allied forces in Europe, American General Christopher Cavoli, announced this at a conference in Washington on April 8.

#1  Looking at a map, I'd say Kharkov yes and Odessa no.
Kharkov is an essential part of a defensive line against NATO, so it will eventually be taken.
Odessa would be nice to have, but getting there is a problem. An opposed amphibious assault is dangerous and expensive. Going by land faces the same supply line problems that forced the Russians out of Kherson. Any infrastructure there will be pounded into rubble to keep the port from being used to launch naval drone attacks.

SVR: drug dealers are being recruited in US prisons to be sent to Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

War attracts all manner of scoundrels -- for both sides.

I can’t imagine that petty businessmen of this sort would make very good soldiers.
[Regnum] American private military companies, with the participation of the country's authorities, are recruiting Mexican and Colombian drug dealers in US prisons to send to Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported on April 9.

“The United States is resorting to increasingly desperate methods in its attempts to turn the tide in the Ukrainian theater of operations, replenishing the ranks of demoralized Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters with a multinational rabble with a penchant for armed violence,” TASS quotes a report from the SVR press bureau.

The prisoners are promised a complete amnesty, but negotiations are difficult because the convicts do not want to cooperate with the US authorities without the “blessing” of the drug lords, the press bureau noted.

The first batch of recruits is planned to be sent to the territory of Ukraine in the summer of 2024, the report said. If this project is successful, the United States intends to expand the recruitment for sending to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to other countries, however, Washington’s plans to gain an advantage on the battlefield by influxing criminal mercenaries into Ukraine are doomed to failure, the SVR also stated.

“The prospect of another influx of foreign “soldiers of fortune” from among serial killers, drug addicts and rapists to the long-suffering lands of the Russian World is alarming. However, the Americans’ plans to gain a tactical advantage on the battlefield in this way are doomed to failure,” the report said.

As reported by Regnum news agency, earlier war correspondent Evgeniy Poddubny reported that Americans, Romanians and the French took part in the attack of Ukrainian forces on the Belgorod region. The military correspondent published a helmet-mounted video of a Ukrainian formation fighter, filmed while trying to enter the territory of the Belgorod region.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have gathered additional groups of mercenaries from France, Georgia, as well as militants from the Ukrainian “Russian Volunteer Corps” (RDK; a terrorist organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) to Kharkov; they may be thrown into a new breakthrough in the Belgorod region, underground coordinator Sergei said on April 3 Lebedev.

During the special military operation, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed 5,962 foreign mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense reported on March 14. In total, during the SVO, 13,387 foreign mercenaries arrived on the territory of Ukraine; most of all, mercenaries from Poland and Georgia were destroyed - 1,497 and 561, respectively.

Cancer rates rising in young people due to ‘accelerated aging,' new study finds: ‘Highly troubling'
[FoxNews] Accelerated aging — when someone’s biological age is greater than their chronological age — could increase the risk of cancer tumors.

That’s according to new research presented this week at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting in San Diego, California.

"Historically, both cancer and aging have been viewed primarily as concerns for older populations," Ruiyi Tian, MPH, a graduate student at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and one of the study researchers, told Fox News Digital.

"The realization that cancer, and now aging, are becoming significant issues for younger demographics over the past decades was unexpected."

In the study, diagnoses in patients younger than 55 years old were considered early-onset cancers.

The researchers analyzed data from 148,724 people using the UK Biobank database.

They estimated each person’s biological age using nine biomarkers in the blood — then compared that to their chronological age.

Those with a higher biological age had a 42% increased risk of early-onset lung cancer, were 22% more prone to early-onset gastrointestinal cancer, and had a 36% higher risk for early-onset uterine cancer.

Unity at the Chalice of Christ. How Russians and Ukrainians are reconciled in Hamburg
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Ol'ga Dmitrieva

[REGNUM] Temple in honor of St. right John of Kronstadt in the center of Hamburg, the largest in Germany, is decorated with lush greenery in the warm season. The majestic church building, built in neo-Romanesque and at the same time oriental style, is crowned with a dome and five golden crosses. The figure of the saint himself, located on the wall of the church, to the right of the entrance, is also buried in the treetops. The temple is beautiful not only externally. Crossing the threshold, you seem to find yourself in an endless space under a high dome - morning light pours from large windows along the entire circular perimeter of the building. The fresco iconostasis reflects it so softly that the feet themselves carry you to the altar. And only then do you notice the “woven” patterns of the marble floor. ISIS threatens to carry out terrorist attacks at the Champions League quarter-final matches
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

ISIS is emblematic of the notion that somebody, somewhere is having a better time than you are.

And anyone can join the jihad without doing the work, just by recording the commitment to ISIS.
[Regnum] The Islamic State group has threatened to carry out terrorist attacks at the Champions League matches, which will take place on April 9 and 10. This was reported by the Spanish publication Marca.

“Through its media center, the group distributed a message threatening football stadiums in London, Paris and Madrid,” the publication notes.

Plans to hold quarter-final matches remain in force, as the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs already considers them high-risk events. Information about the threats was transferred to Real Madrid.

The government commission will hold an official meeting on April 9 on the issue of additional security measures, the publication says.

On April 9, meetings between London's Arsenal and Bayern Munich and Real Madrid's against Manchester City are scheduled. The next day, Parisian PSG will play against Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid will play against Borussia Dortmund.

Update from the Times of Israel at 9:40 a.m. ET:
Security beefed up around PSG-Barcelona soccer match after Islamic State threat

French police are tightening security around Gay Paree Saint-Germain’s (PSG) Parc des Princes stadium on Wednesday following a threat of attacks by Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
that adds to security worries ahead of the upcoming summer Olympics.

PSG play Barcelona later in a Champions League soccer quarterfinal to be viewed by millions around the world.

Spain and Britannia also doubled down this week around their respective Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday and Wednesday after the resurgent Islamic State terror group urged attacks against host venues, including with drones.

At PSG’s Parc des Princes stadium on Wednesday, police are towing away parked cars and installing concrete blocks.

Islamic State has urged followers to recreate a November 2015 attack on the Stade de La Belle France stadium, featuring an image of the Parc des Princes stadium, according to Site Intelligence group, which tracks Islamic terrorist postings.

Another image seen by Site Intelligence urged gunnies to use drones to attack the stadiums.

Spain said it had deployed more than 2,000 officers to boost security in Madrid for the games there.

Islamic State’s Afghan branch, known as ISIS-K, has been particularly active in recent months. The group grabbed credit for a mass-fatality attack at a concert near Moscow last month, and also carried out twin bombings in Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
that killed nearly 100 people earlier this year.

The collapse of Gotenland. 80 years ago the liberation of Crimea from the Nazis began

[REGNUM] “The troops of the Soviet 4th Ukrainian Front under the command of Army General Tolbukhin went on the offensive against the Nazi troops located on the Perekop Isthmus and the southern coast of Sivash. Our troops broke through the enemy’s heavily fortified defenses on the Perekop Isthmus and, moving forward up to 20 kilometers, captured the city and the Armyansk railway station.” In this operational report of the Sovinformburo dated April 10, 1944, the country learned about the first successes of the Crimean offensive operation, which began two days earlier, on April 8.
Fydor Tolbukin had been in command of several operational and strategic formations in the northern coast of the Sea of Azov before the spring of 1944.

Arizona Supreme Court upholds 1864 law that criminalises most abortions
[GEO.TV] The Arizona Supreme Court's recent decision has paved the way for the enforcement of an 1864 law that almost criminalises all child sacrifice abortions with the only exception being if the mother is in danger of dying.

This deliberation on Tuesday revisited the validity of a law implemented before Arizona statehood that allows child sacrifice abortion only in cases of life-threatening conditions for the mother.

The court was approached following a challenge against a decision by the state Court of Appeals in 2022, which prohibited the prosecution of doctors who had done child sacrifice abortions within the first 15 weeks of pregnancy.

Previously, the 1864 law enforcement was put on hold following the Roe v. Wade (1973) landmark US Supreme Court decision, which stated that a woman had a constitutional right to procure an child sacrifice abortion. Arizona's Attorney General helped in getting the injunction of the law's prohibition lifted following the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June 2022.

The ruling, condemned by Democratic Attorney General Kris Mayes as being regressive, coincides with a broader trend of red states enacting ever more restrictive child sacrifice abortion regulations after Roe.
Post-Roe v. Wade, the most recent law on the subject from before again holds sway until each state legislature passes a new law on the subject.

UK position on arms sales to Israel 'unchanged': Cameron
[GEO.TV] UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron
...Empty suit Brit pol, former PM, has stated that he is certainly a big Thatcher fan, but I don't know whether that makes me a Thatcherite, which means he's not. Since he is not deeply ideological he lacks core principles and is easily led. He has been described as certainly not a Pitt, Elder or Younger, but he does wear a nice suit so maybe he's Beau Brummel...
has said that his country’s position on arms sales to Israel remains unchanged.

Addressing a joint presser with his US counterpart, Cameron said: "The latest assessment leaves our position on export licenses unchanged. This is consistent with the advice that I and other ministers have received."

"And as ever, we will keep the position under review."

WSJ: Denying weapons to Israel in the middle of a war is betrayal
[Jpost] The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) denounced former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats in an editorial on Tuesday for their signing of a letter urging President Joe Biden to stop the transfer of weapons to Israel.

"Denying weapons to an ally in the middle of a war is the definition of betrayal," the newspaper's editorial board wrote, labeling Pelosi a "sunshine ally."

"Democrats claim to be looking out for Israel's best interests," the editorial board wrote, "but that's for Israelis to decide. The threats to withhold weapons from an ally must overjoy Hamas, whose strategy of hiding behind civilian deaths is the real source of Gaza's humanitarian tragedy."

AMERICAN HYPOCRISY?
In its editorial, the Journal argued that the US was holding Israel to a standard that it, itself, had failed to meet, writing "You'd think the U.S. never made a mistake that killed civilians in wartime.”

Relatives of Gadzhiev and Tambiev on preparations for consideration of the appeal
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The security forces did not interfere with the picket in support of Abdulmumin Gadzhiev,
…also spelt Abdulmumin Hajiyev, he’s the editor of the Chernovik newspaper. Along with Abubakar Rizvanov, head of the Ansar charity fund and Kemal Tambiev he was convicted of financing terrorism — collecting 68 million rubles and 200 thousand dollars for ISIS under the pretext of building mosques and helping poor Muslims. Israil Akhmednabiev (Abu Umar Sasitlinsky), a Dagestan preacher and founder of the Mukhadzhirun Islamic Foundation, had suggested they join forces for the work...
they only copied personal data, said the deputy editor-in-chief of Chernovik. Gadzhiev and Kemal Tambiev continue preparing for the consideration of the appeal and are familiarizing themselves with the case materials; the date of the hearing has not yet been set, their relatives and lawyer said.

As the "Caucasian Knot wrote, Abdulmumin Gadzhiev's colleagues consider his criminal case to be political persecution and regularly hold single pickets in his support. On April 1, such a single action was held at the traditional place - the intersection of Dakhadayev Street and Gamzatov Avenue - by the deputy chief editor of Chernovik, Magomed Magomedov. The next single picket took place not as usual on Monday, but today, Chernovik warned in advance about the postponement of the action.

Pickets in defense of Gadzhiev have been held regularly since June 2019, when Gadzhiev was detained. They were disrupted only because of provocations and arrests of picketers. The picketers were taken to the police, but they still continued the campaign in support of Gadzhiev. According to colleagues, Gadzhiev is suffering because the newspaper voiced “inconvenient questions” to the authorities and security forces, according to the Caucasian Knot report “  Draft”: threats, criminal cases, murder of the editor-in-chief.”

Today in Makhachkala a picket in support of journalist Abdulmumin Gadzhiev took place again. This time it did not take place on Monday. Magomed Magomedov, deputy editor-in-chief of the Chernovik publication, went on a solo picket.

“The picket passed calmly. Without incidents. People also support. Those driving in cars express their support with signals. A police officer approached twice and then a local police officer, who again recorded the data,” he told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

Abdulmumin Gadzhiev's wife  Dana Sakieva  told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that her husband was getting acquainted with the case materials and minutes of the meeting.  “We have problems with the security forces. We receive letters from Abdulmumin,” she said.

Kemal Tambiev's wife Laura also said that her husband continues to get acquainted with the case materials and court records, but the date of the appeal hearing is still unknown. “Kemal is also now in the Novocherkassk pre-trial detention center for the duration of the appeal. Letters come regularly. The store is open in the pre-trial detention center, you can transfer money, and they order,” she told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

According to Laura, the family did not have any problems with the security forces. “Everything is fine. No one calls, writes, or searches,” she said.

Lawyer Arsen Shabanov  said that there is still no progress on the appeal. “The date for the appeal meeting has not yet been set. Appeals have been filed in full. But there is no consideration yet. They are probably waiting until they get acquainted with the minutes of the meeting,” he said.

Let us recall that the editor of the Chernovik newspaper, Abdulmumin Gadzhiev, as well as the head of the Ansar charitable foundation, Abubakar Rizvanov, and businessman Kemal Tambiev were arrested in June 2019 on charges of financing terrorism. On September 12, 2023,  the court sentenced  Gadzhiev to 17 years in prison, Rizvanov to 18 years, and Kemal Tambiev to 17.5 years. The prosecution did not present convincing evidence in court, the defendants said in their final plea.

Gadzhiev is in a pre-trial detention center in Novocherkassk. An appeal against the verdict was filed back in September 2023, but a hearing  has not yet been scheduled, although according to the law, two months are allotted for this, Gadzhiev’s lawyer told the Caucasian Knot on March 5.

In January 2024, weekly pickets of colleagues in support of Hajiyev were disrupted three times. Thus, on January 29, “New Business” journalist  Idris Yusupov * went out on a solo picket in support of Gadzhiev, but the security forces interfered with the action until it  had to be completed  due to the fact that another man unfurled a similar poster next to Yusupov*.

A week earlier, on January 22, an unknown man with a piece of paper in his hands also tried to stand next to Yusupov, who was holding a picket in support of Gadzhiev. After this, the journalist was forced to curtail the action.

On January 15, Magomed Magomedov tried to hold a single picket in support of Gadzhiev. Another picketer joined him, and the security forces detained the journalist, accusing him of violating the rules for holding a single protest. However, the court found no signs of wrongdoing in his actions, and Magomedov was released. He considered the disruption of the picket  a planned provocation  by the security forces.

Bärbock: Germany's reserves of Patriot air defense systems for transferring them to Kyiv have been exhausted
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Germany's reserves of Patriot air defense systems for possible transfer to Kiev have been exhausted; Berlin and its allies are exploring the possibility of purchasing air defense systems for Kiev from third countries, German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock said at a press conference in Berlin on April 9.

“Unfortunately, the stocks of our own Patriot systems are now almost exhausted, so at the meeting of NATO foreign ministers I once again made it clear that we need to verify the availability of all Patriot systems in Europe and the world, that we will do everything to get these systems for Ukraine,” she said.

According to her, Germany and its allies intend to explore the possibility of establishing a special fund for this.

“We, together with our Ukrainian and European partners, will continue to work on this, first of all, to quickly obtain for Ukraine the systems that third countries have,” Berbock noted.

As Regnum reported, a day earlier the British magazine The Economist, citing sources, reported that the Russian Armed Forces destroyed several of the Patriot air defense systems supplied by the West. However, it is not specified exactly how many air defense systems were destroyed.

The head of the office of Vladimir Zelensky, Andriy Ermak, called the critical moment that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are experiencing due to a shortage of weapons and delays in Western supplies. He also pointed to the inability of Ukrainian troops to shoot down Russian guided glide bombs and demanded more missiles for American Patriot air defense systems.

Forbes magazine wrote that Ukraine may soon run out of missile reserves for Western air defense systems NASAMS and Patriot. The publication notes that the Ukrainian side has not received these missiles since the end of 2023. The article also stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces moved NASAMS and Patriot systems closer to the line of combat contact in order to use these weapons against Russian aviation.

The Russian side has repeatedly called on Western countries to refrain from supplying weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized that any military cargo intended for Ukrainian troops is a legitimate target of the Russian Armed Forces.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, in turn, noted that arms supplies will not change the course of the special military operation in any way, but will only deplete the resources of the countries participating in supporting Ukraine.

Drone strikes hit Eastern Sudan's Gedaref
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Drone attacks rocked the border city of Gedaref on Tuesday morning, targeting the headquarters of the General Intelligence Service and an army site. This incident comes amid heightened tensions between the Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
ese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Gedaref, located near the Æthiopian border, has become a haven for over 400,000 displaced people fleeing violence in Khartoum and Gezira states. The dronezaps add another layer of instability to the region.

At approximately 9:30 am, three drones reportedly approached the city from the northwest, buzzing over residential areas. One drone crashed into the mosque at the General Intelligence Service headquarters in the al-Mutamaf neighbourhood, injuring a security officer and a civilian bystander. Thick smoke billowed from the targeted site.

Sudan’s 2nd Infantry Division’s anti-aircraft defences successfully shot down a second drone near the Gedaref Model School, while another drone targeting the National Service headquarters met the same fate.

No group has grabbed credit for the attacks.

Following the incident, a heavy security presence, including troops from the army, police, and General Intelligence, deployed across the city, including the Grand Market. A Sudan Tribune journalist observed a convoy of General Intelligence vehicles heading west out of the city.

This unprecedented attack marks a significant escalation in the volatile situation in Sudan. Gedaref, previously considered a safe haven amidst the military conflict, has now been thrust into the spotlight.

NatSec Honcho Sullivan calls the Russian case of US officials sponsoring terrorism nonsense
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The criminal case opened in Russia on the financing of terrorism by officials of the United States and NATO countries, including through the company Burisma Holdings, is nonsense, Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Jake Sullivan said on April 9 during a briefing.

“This is nonsense,” he commented.

Sullivan once again stated that the United States warned Russia about an impending terrorist attack in Moscow, and everything else is noise. The assistant to the American leader added that the ISIS group (a terrorist organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation) was to blame for the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall.

As Regnum reported, according to the Investigative Committee of Russia, money received through the oil company Burisma Holdings, operating in Ukraine over the past years, was used to finance terrorist attacks on Russian territory. As part of the investigation into the financing of terrorism, the sources of income and movement of money in the amount of several million dollars are being checked. A criminal case has also been opened regarding the financing of terrorism by US and NATO officials. Investigators are working on connections between the perpetrators of terrorist attacks in Russia and their foreign curators, organizers and sponsors.

The White House cannot officially, directly say that it gives the go-ahead for sabotage carried out by the Ukrainian special services, since this would mean that the United States recognizes itself as terrorist state No. 1, said political scientist, leading researcher at the Center for Security Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Konstantin Blokhin. At the same time, the United States de facto encourages Kyiv’s terrorist actions, as it continues to support it and promises that the Kiev regime will receive everything it needs, he added.

When preparing terrorist attacks on Russia, Kyiv uses satellite information provided by American intelligence, the press bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service said on April 1. The United States is shielding those responsible for the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, and the administration of US President Joe Biden is intensifying efforts to form a distorted picture of the attack. However, Washington’s propaganda rhetoric regarding Crocus is not selling well: the Americans cannot achieve unity of assessment of the tragedy near Moscow even among NATO and EU members, the SVR clarified.

A few minutes after the terrorist attack at Crocus, the United States tried to impose its own version, pointing out ISIS (a terrorist organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) as the culprit. With these stories, American political engineers have driven themselves into a trap. The United States cannot do otherwise, given the aggressive anti-Russian rhetoric of the White House and the huge funds and weapons invested in the Kiev regime, including through corruption schemes. All this directly and indirectly indicates Washington’s involvement in sponsoring Ukrainian terrorism, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

Having quickly received the coordinates of the target, the soldiers of the 152mm 2S5 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled guns arrived at the firing position and destroyed the American M109 self-propelled gun with accurate 152mm shots.

The next shot hit the enemy command post. Fire adjustments and objective control of target hits were carried out by the Orlan-30 crew.

Every day our troops destroy firing positions, manpower of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and its weapons, as well as supplied samples from abroad.

12:45 Offensive on Chasov Yar, the situation is reported by the Military Chronicle:

The number of FAB-250/500 “arrivals” with UMPC has almost doubled. If in the first days of the offensive 15-20 aerial bombs fell on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kanal microdistrict, now 30-35 “arrivals” are recorded - and the density of attacks is increasing.

The industrial zone in the area of the refractory plant has been dismantled with aerial bombs since the first day, but from about April 6, in addition to FAB-500/1500, volumetric detonating bombs began to “arrive” at such facilities, destroying dense reinforced concrete floors.

At the eastern outskirts of the Kanal microdistrict (the actual entry point of the Russian Armed Forces into Chasov Yar), tension has reached its limit.

The main battles shifted to the territory of vocational school No. 77 and the stadium (it is clearly visible in the video from the UAV), where the supporter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Tekhnikum” is located (more precisely, what is left of it).

The Ukrainian Armed Forces periodically send small DRGs to this area, which are almost immediately destroyed.

12:10 Crimean paratroopers launch a missile from the Fagot ATGM destroyed armored personnel carriers and disrupted the enemy rotation near Verbov.

With the help of a reconnaissance UAV of the Supercam aircraft type, it was discovered that an enemy armored personnel carrier was moving towards the forward positions for rotation. The paratrooper-spotter immediately transmitted the coordinates of the target to the ATGM crew, which destroyed an armored personnel carrier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a well-aimed launch of a guided missile.

As a result of competent actions of the units of the Novorossiysk division, a foreign-made armored car and personnel of up to two squads were destroyed.

11:22 Ukrainian Telegram channels report about explosions in the occupied Ukrainian Armed Forces of Slavyansk.

10:45 Accumulation of Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment destroyed in the southern Donetsk direction with fire from 220mm BM-27 Uragan multiple launch rocket systems of the Vostok group of troops. This was reported to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

10:41 Units of the 9th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 1st Army Corps knocked out from the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces militant units and completely captured the village of Pervomaiskoe. This was reported by VGTRK reporter Andrei Rudenko.

10:05 Situation on the Rabotino-Verbovoye section at 10.00:

In the Rabotino-Verbovoye sector, counter-battery fighting continued at night. Reconnaissance UAVs were actively working, correcting cannon artillery and MLRS fire. The enemy again used prohibited phosphorus ammunition, including for drops from UAVs.

There were battles in the Rabotino area at night. The enemy tried to conduct reconnaissance in force, using small assault groups, but was repulsed.

North-west of Verbovoy, our troops advanced slightly. The enemy, trying to seize the initiative, counterattacked. Fighting continues.

09:27 Southeast of Chasov Yar, Russian troops with a motorized rifle unit, supported by armored vehicles, advanced westward in an area up to 1.03 km wide to a depth of 1.33 km.

09:01 Russian fighters entered Krasnogorovka from the direction of Staromikhailovka and walked further along Vatutina Street.

They took the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the multi-storey building of the eastern part of Krasnogorovka. The advance was up to 700 meters.

08:19 Crews of the T-80BV group of forces “West” destroyed camouflaged dugouts and mortar crews of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kupyansk direction

Tankers destroy enemy armored vehicles and manpower at the front line, thereby supporting the actions of Russian forward detachments. The rear positions of the militants are also coming under attack.

08:00 Summary on the morning of April 9, 2024:

At night, the Russian Armed Forces used the Geranium UAV and missile weapons against enemy targets, while the enemy notes the launch of drones at intervals, which may indicate a change in the tactics of their use. Probably - to open air defense position areas.Explosions occurred in Poltava, Kamensky, Dnepropetrovsk region, the city of Stryi, Lviv region, Odessa, and Khmelnytsky regions. In the afternoon, Iskander OTRK missiles hit the assembly shop of Ukrainian UAVs in Zaporozhye. Frequent strikes by the FAB and UMPC continued in the Kharkov and Sumy regions.

In the Kherson direction, the regional governor yesterday published a video from Russian Armed Forces training on pontoon crossings. Three civilians were wounded from Ukrainian Armed Forces fire in Aleshki and Kakhovka. There are battles in Krynki, many enemy drones are causing damage to our armored vehicles, which continue to be sent to solve problems closer to the banks of the Dnieper.

On the Zaporozhye front, the enemy is targeting the power units of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant in Energodar with drones. The attack was repelled; one of the UAVs fell on the roof of the 6th power unit. The plant's management emphasizes that not a single nuclear power plant in the world was designed to contain the fire impact of army weapons. Heavy fighting continues in Rabotino and north-west of Verbovoy.

In the South Donetsk direction, our troops are pushing back the enemy in Novomikhailovka; on the outskirts of Krasnogorovka, units of the Russian Armed Forces are trying to restore the initiative.

On a broad front, the Russian Armed Forces have the initiative in local battles west of Avdeevka. The combat areas are still the same: Berdychi, Semenovka, Umanskoye, Pervomaiskoye. UAVs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, namely FPV drones, cause serious damage to the Russian Armed Forces in armored vehicles. Our troops are constantly looking for means of protection against enemy drones, but the issue has not been resolved on a systematic basis.

Chasov Yar continues to be in the spotlight. In heavy fighting on the outskirts of the city, the Russian Armed Forces gained a foothold and repelled counterattacks of the enemy, who was transferring reinforcements. FABs with UMPC, MLRS, and TOS operate throughout the city. They report the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Bogdanovka and a serious difficulty in enemy logistics at Kleshcheevka.

To the south of Kremennaya, near Belogorovka, battles were reported for the heights (the dump of a chalk quarry); our troops managed to occupy some strong points.

In the direction of Terny, despite the severity of the fighting and the loss of armored vehicles, the Russian Armed Forces are fighting local battles without significant breakthroughs in the enemy’s defenses.

Migrant repeat offenders viciously attack cops
[NYPOST] A pair of migrants with rap sheets jumped and pounded an NYPD cop who tried to stop them and their crew from shoplifting at an Upper East Side Target, police and sources said Tuesday.

Yusneiby Machado, 23, and Brayan Freites, 21, were among the group of six migrants who allegedly yanked $82 in items off displays inside the store on Third Avenue near East 70th Street on April 2, the sources said.

They left a trail of destruction as they snatched up a gaming light, a backpack, tools and assorted grub including Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, Doritos, strawberries and bottled waters, cops and sources said.

When responding cops from the NYPD’s 19th Precinct stopped the crew, all from Venezuela, in their tracks, Machado and Freitas allegedly wrestled, shoved, slapped and pushed them in an attempt to resist, according to the sources.

The wild struggle left one officer with swelling, redness and pain on his left arm, cops said.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.

Another suspect — who has not been caught — tried to throw rocks at the officers, but they were not struck, the sources said.

Both Machado and Freites were charged with robbery, assault, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, criminal possession of stolen property, disorderly conduct and harassment, cops said.

They were arraigned before Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Jay Wiener — and treated with kid gloves.

Machado was cut loose without bail under supervised release, despite a request from prosecutors that she be held on $10,000 bail.

Prosecutors asked that Freites be held on $10,000 bail or a $30,000 bond, and Wiener ordered him held on $3,000 bail or a $9,000 bond.

He was still at Rikers Island on Tuesday.

Their alleged partners in crime, Sebastian Jaramillio, 22, Michael Sanchez, 31, and Henry Zambrano, 19, were also arrested and charged by cops with robbery and disorderly conduct, police said.

All three — who lived at the Ward’s Island shelter, per sources — were later arraigned on petty larceny and possession of stolen property charges and released without bail.

“No job is routine, no call for service is routine,” Deputy Inspector Neil Zuber, commanding officer of the NYPD’s 19th Precinct, told neighbors who gathered later that night for the precinct’s community council meeting, according to the Upper East Site.

“Every time these officers respond, and they’re confronted with a crime, they’re gonna do everything they can to make that arrest.”

US Congress makes strict demands on Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Ukraine’s entry into NATO will lead to the sending of American soldiers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a direct conflict with Russia. Ohio Senator James David Vance wrote about this on the social network X.

The politician criticized the statement of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, which he made at the NATO summit in Brussels in the presence of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.

Blinken assured that Ukraine will eventually become a member of the North Atlantic Alliance, and the bloc's summer summit in Washington will be dedicated to “building a bridge” to entry.

“This is complete irresponsibility. Ukraine should not be accepted into NATO; inviting it during a war is the same as inviting our country to war,” Vance was indignant.

He asked his followers if they wanted to see American soldiers on the front lines against Russia. If the answer is negative, the senator called for “discarding the idea that Ukraine should join NATO.”

As Regnum reported, Ukraine's entry into NATO can only take place after the end of the current conflict, State Department press service chief Matthew Miller said at a briefing on April 8.

Members of the North Atlantic Alliance believe that they are not in a state of war with Russia, and do not want this. This was announced on April 8 at a conference in Washington dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the organization, said the Commander-in-Chief of NATO's allied forces in Europe, American General Christopher Cavoli.

Russia does not plan to fight with NATO, this is just nonsense, said Russian President Vladimir Putin. As the head of state emphasized, Moscow has no reason to fight with the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance.

Israel blocking UNRWA food to Gaza since January; Israel says highest single day number of trucks enter the Strip since war began
The UNWRA is happy to be a wholly owned subsidiary of Hamas.
[GEO.TV] Israel denied access to 40% of all food aid missions in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, said the UN agency for Paleostinian refugees, UNRWA.

It further said that access for the UNRWA is particularly strained with Israel blocking all its food convoys since March — and blocking all its food convoys to the north of the enclave since January, Al Jazeera reported.
Israel wants UNWRA out of the Palestinian Territories altogether. But there are lots of other groups available on the ground to deliver the goods.

Israel claims highest single-day number of aid trucks enters Gaza since war began

[IsraelTimes] Indonesia participates in massive airdrop marking end of Ramadan, in an apparent first time Muslim nation has flown through Israeli airspace; UNRWA disputes Israeli numbers

The highest number of trucks carrying aid entered the Gazoo Strip on Tuesday since the start of the war in October, the Israeli military said. It was further bolstered by an unprecedented airdrop of supplies, including from Indonesia.

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the IDF unit responsible for liaising with the Paleostinians, said that 468 aid trucks had been inspected and transferred into Gaza on Tuesday, including 47 to the Strip’s battered north, which aid groups have said is especially difficult to reach. The overall number of trucks, COGAT said, was the highest since the war began, surpassing the previous day’s high of 419. Over the past three days, more than 1,200 aid trucks were inspected by Israeli authorities and entered Gaza.

However,
those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things...
UN officials disputed the Israeli numbers.

"There has been no significant change in the volume of humanitarian supplies entering Gaza or improved access to the north," the UN agency for Paleostinian refugees said in its daily situation report.

Red Islamic Thingy officials in Egypt also gave different numbers, saying that more than 350 trucks had crossed from there into Gaza on Monday and 258 on Sunday. That was much more than in recent weeks when the number was usually fewer than 200, they said.

However,
those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things...
UNRWA, the main United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
agency in Gaza, said 223 trucks had entered on Monday, fewer than half the 500 trucks it said are required daily.

The UN claimed the discrepancy came because many of the trucks are only half-full, inflating the Israeli count.

UN humanitarian agency (OCHA) spokesperson Jens Laerke said Israel typically counts the half-filled trucks going through an initial screening process, rather than repacked, full trucks for delivery inside Gaza.

"Trucks that go in, screened by COGAT, are typically only half full. That is a requirement that they have put in place for screening purposes. When we count the trucks on the other side, when they have been reloaded, they are full," Laerke said.

He claimed that Israel was still restricting most trucks from being able to move around.

"When you put up the statistical number of trucks going in and say, ’Look at all these hundreds of trucks coming in’ and you put it against ’Look how few trucks have actually moved around with distribution,’ it’s kind of an own goal, isn’t it," he said.

There was no response from Israeli authorities.

In addition to the trucks, COGAT said 303 packages carrying "hundreds of thousands of meals" were also airdropped over the Paleostinian enclave on Tuesday.

The BBC reported that Tuesday’s airdrop, planned to coincide with the end of Islam’s holy month of Ramadan, was the largest coalition airdrop to date during the war, with ten tons of food and water parachuted out of 14 planes from nine nations: the UK, US, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, the Netherlands, Germany, La Belle France, Jordan, and — unprecedentedly — Indonesia.

The planes assembled in Jordan’s capital of Amman, flying over Israel to the Gaza Strip. According to the Walla news site, this marked the first known time an Indonesian plane has entered Israeli airspace.

Indonesia, the world’s largest Moslem country, does not have diplomatic relations with Israel.

Its inclusion in the airdrop coalition is striking given Jerusalem had been said to reject a participation request from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
, with whom Israel maintains some degree of diplomatic relations. Turkey, incensed, announced Tuesday that it would restrict exports to Israel due to the decision.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pie fight, Bella went down under the weight of the custard...
the IDF said it had withdrawn further troops from Gaza.
USAID reluctantly agrees, in a classic “Yes, but” formulation. Update from the Times of Israel at 10:35 a.m. ET::
US Agency for International Development Administrator Samantha Power acknowledges humanitarian aid into Gaza had risen sharply in the past few days, and says the higher level of aid should be sustained and increased further.

“We are seeing a sea change, which we hope is sustained and expanded upon,” Power says at a hearing of the US Senate Appropriations subcommittee that oversees US diplomatic and foreign assistance spending.

“We needto go way beyond the 500 trucks,” Power says, referring to the amount of aid that entered the Strip before the war.

“We have famine-like conditions in Gaza and supermarkets filled with food within a couple of kilometers away,” she says at the hearing.

NATO headquarters will be created in Finland 140 km from the border with Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The headquarters of NATO ground forces in the Nordic countries is being created in the Finnish city of Mikkeli in the east of the country, 140 km from the border with Russia. The newspaper IltaLehti wrote about this.
No doubt it’s considerably cheaper than Brussels.
“The headquarters of NATO ground forces will be located in Finland. The commander of our defense forces recommended this,” Norwegian Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram told the publication.

The head of the Ministry of Defense clarified that in peacetime the headquarters will be involved in planning and conducting NATO military exercises.

The so-called high-readiness headquarters will operate around the clock and report to the headquarters in Norfolk on the east coast of the United States.

At the same time, the headquarters of the Finnish Army is located in Mikkeli.

As Regnum reported, the continuation of hostilities in Ukraine was called the only way to achieve peace in the conflict by Finnish President Alexander Stubb on April 7 in an interview with the American television channel CNN.

As Stubb explained, peace negotiations cannot begin at this time. He also admitted that Ukrainian society is tired of the protracted conflict for Kyiv.

Russian-speaking residents of Finland took to the streets of Helsinki on April 7 to protest against the closure of vehicle checkpoints on the border with Russia.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Finland is thus fencing itself off not only from Russia, but also from the world majority. Helsinki's actions are ruining the lives of Finns themselves, she added.

The diplomat explained that Moscow is trying to discuss the issue of border crossings with Helsinki, but Finland is avoiding contacts with Russia. According to her, the behavior of the Finnish authorities is a return to the Cold War period.

Sudan's Al-Burhan vows no return to pre-war era
[SUDANTRIBUNE] In a brief Eid al-Fitr address to the nation, Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
ese army chief Lt Gen Abdel Fattah al-Burhan declared a decisive break with the past. He stressed that the pre-war period, encompassing both al-Bashir’s regime and the transitional government, is over. Sudan is on a new path.
"To ignorance, brutality, and starvation! Huzzah!"

Al-Burhan stressed that the ongoing conflict, which began in April 2023, will be known as the "Battle of Dignity" and will serve as the foundation for building a new future for Sudan. He delivered a strong message, stating: "There is no turning back. No return to what existed before April 15, 2023, October 25, 2021, or April 2019."

These words can be interpreted as a rejection of several possibilities: a return to al-Bashir’s Islamist regime due to the Islamists’ participation in the war against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), the reinstatement of the pre-coup d’état civilian transitional government, or the Political Framework Agreement aimed at integrating the RSF into the regular army (the cause of the current conflict).

Military leadership has consistently opposed handing power back to civilian forces. Notably, al-Burhan has refused talks with the "Tagadum" coalition regarding ending the war and its aftermath. He has also repeated several times that the RSF leadership will not be reintegrated into power, and only individual fighters may join the army after surrendering weapons and entering designated cantonment sites.

Al-Burhan expressed optimism about the war’s progress, attributing it to the "unity between the army and the people." He proclaimed, "This is the moment — the battle of dignity, the battle for the homeland. A new chapter begins."

He commended the unwavering Sudanese people who have joined the Popular Resistance® forces across the country to "repel aggression and cleanse the land of Sudan from mercenaries and hired guns."

The General pledged unwavering commitment, vowing to "continue on the path of the deaders" until "the last rebel and traitor is expelled from Sudan, and every area tainted by rebellion is purified."

#1  Whistling past the graveyard. That Gedaref in the Arab heartland has been attacked indicates just more trouble for the Government. Eventually, the Arab and Islamist government may be left with El Obeid, Port Sudan and provinces to the north of Khartoum. As long as the RSF can use its Darfur gold mine to pay for weapons from the United Arab Emirates it will survive. Thus, the old Sudan is dying on the vine. What will emerge is still anyone's guess.

Ten years of the 'Russian Spring' is a date as solemn and important as it is tragic.
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Text taken from the V Kontakte page of Reports from the New Russia militia

by Andrey Medvedev, journalist

[VK] Ten years of the “Russian Spring” is a date as solemn and important as it is tragic. Because ten years ago, the Russian people took a desperate step into the unknown, hoping that Russia would come to their aid.

It is believed that the “Russian Spring” was a reaction to the “Maidan” of 2014, that the coup d’etat in Kyiv launched a process in both Donbass and Novorossiya, when a huge, predominantly Russian-speaking region declared a desire for independence and self-determination. But to say this means completely not understanding and not knowing the history of Ukraine and the tragic history of the Russian people, who fell into the millstone of the political decisions of the fathers of the revolution.

After all, it is clear that it was not at all necessary to create Ukraine from the provinces of Little Russia. Especially the Soviet one. In 1914, there were very few “Ukrainians” in Kyiv, and this was not a nationality, but a political orientation. Read Paustovsky, Bulgakov.

In the early 1920s, all this ridiculous nationalism, which reminded the Russians of that time of the current freedom fighters of Ingria or the Smolensk region (the same idiots), could have been easily curtailed, especially with the resources of the Bolsheviks. But instead, the decision was made to build nation statesnon-existent nations.

And when at the X Congress, Stalin promised to eliminate the Russian element in the cities of Ukraine, and when they began to forcefully Ukrainize (Zelensky did not come up with anything new, he was simply repeating the experience of the Bolsheviks), and when they cleaned out the Russian language, it was Novorossia and Donbass that more than other regions of the Ukrainian SSR felt the pressure of Kyiv.

Kyiv, still Soviet, did not like Donbass, was afraid of the Donetsk people. They could not forgive Donetsk for its special status in the USSR, they could not forgive insolence like decisions to take and plant thousands of roses in the city. Look, they've thought of it! It’s not the capital of Soviet Ukraine, but they allow themselves! They were afraid of the forces of Donetsk and Lugansk. Industrial, intellectual. It was people from Novorossiya who were taken to Moscow, to the leadership of Soviet ministries.

It was not during the Maidans of 2004 and 2014 that the attitude towards Donbass was born. This is a product of Soviet experiments. Accordingly, Donbass and Novorossiya all these long years lived in a situation where people were told from morning to evening that they were Ukrainians, that this was their country, but they themselves always felt like Russians.

And in the spring of 2014, the accumulation simply broke through. “If in Kyiv they want to go to Europe, then we want to go home - to Russia.” It all started when Russian people stormed the SBU building in Lugansk. They were ready to die for the dream of returning to Russia.

The first heroes of the “Russian Spring” like Valery Bolotov fought precisely for this. For the right to speak Russian, think in Russian, be Russian.

For this, the fighters of the “Odessa squad” died in the House of Trade Unions. The first hero of the North Military District for me personally is Gennady Kushnarev, who was killed in Odessa.

Another thing is that Russia itself was not ready for the “Russian Spring”. And accept Donbass too. And for a long time we refused to even admit that Ukraine in its current form is a threat to Russia. Now we are openly saying that the meaning of Ukraine’s existence is to be anti-Russia. Just recently everything was different.

And for many years the Russian region fought for itself without the slightest hope for anything. Hundreds of Donbass soldiers did not live to see this day. The first leaders of the republics, the first commanders. And how many peaceful ones! Children, adults, old people... They never knew that Donbass had become Russia. That Mariupol is ours. That they no longer attack Donetsk from Avdiivka.

But they believed that someday this would all happen. What does it feel like to believe in the light while walking in pitch darkness?

The tenth anniversary of the “Russian Spring” is not something to be proud of for us. This is rather an occasion to look back, to understand what we were like. What material benefits were more important to us than the Russians of Donbass.

And what we have become now. And what they should be like to bring all Russian people home.”

White House responds after Pope Francis condemns 'gender theory,' affirms Biden's support for trans community
[FoxNews] White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre faced questions about Pope Francis
...Argentine liberation theologist, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio. He was elected pope in 2013. Rather than setting up shop in Avignon, where he belongs, the first Jesuit Pope chose to reside in the Domus Sanctae Marthae guesthouse instead of the papal apartments. He is big on climate change, against consumerism, and in favor of throwing a blanket over homosexual activity within the clergy. He's not real sure about the Resurrection, about Christ's divinity, and a few other things that would have gotten him burned at the stake a few hundred years ago, but he's hot for a certain South American Earth Mother Goddess...
' declaration condemning gender theory on Monday, ultimately affirming President Biden's support for the transgender community.A news hound pressed Jean-Pierre regarding the Pope's Monday document, which formally reaffirms and expands on the Catholic Church's assertion that attempts to alter an individual's immutable gender are ultimately misguided attempts to play God. Jean-Pierre declined to say what Biden thought of the document specifically, but added that he does support the transgender community.

"We are pleased to see that the document... furthered the Vatican's call to ensure that LGBTQ+ are protected from violence and imprisonment around the world. However,
death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate...
the president will continue to be an advocate for the rights, safety and dignity of the LGBTQ+ community, including transgender people here in the U.S.," Jean-Pierre said in response to a news hound who asked for a response to the document.

"What about the more specific comments about gender theory and transgender individuals?" a news hound pressed.

What if the head of state is merely a talking head - or the product of Disney's Animatronic labs?

No worries! According to prophesy, all this will get sorted when RoboJesus arrives sometime after 2035 and brings the Word Made Silicon.

Cyber
The main thing is not to stop. How did the Russian game 'Smuta' turn out?
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

This is the Russian video game for PC, the development of which was funded in part by the government of Russia

by Mark Dranitzyn

[REGNUM] At the beginning of April, the adventure computer game “ Troubles ” became available to players on the VK Play platform. It was developed by the Russian company Cyberia Nova. The events in the game take place in 1612 in Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow and Yaroslavl against the backdrop of the Time of Troubles.
The US currently is going through is own version of Time of Troubles.
Heinlein called the current period The Crazy Years.
Long before its release, “The Troubles” received its first critics on the Internet. Their main complaint: Cyberia Nova, which took on the development of a historical role-playing epic, has not released a single known release before.

But the Russian gaming industry remembers a successful example from last year: the debut project from the Mundfish studio - Atomic Heart. The game literally blew up the Western charts with its magnificent graphics, unusual style of Soviet retro-futurism and, of course, humanized robot girls.

BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPES AND FLINTLOCK GUNS
The release was postponed several times, but on April 4, “The Troubles” officially went to the masses. In honor of the launch, a costume show-carnival with archers, bells, horse rides and other interactive elements was organized on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.

The main sponsor of “Troubles” was the Internet Development Institute (IDI), allocating 500 million rubles to the project, excluding distribution and marketing. Development of the game took two years.

To an uninitiated person it may seem that these are gigantic resources - monetary and time. In reality, 500 million rubles is a very modest amount for the gaming industry. The budgets of leading game projects are measured in tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars. And the development time takes five to six years.

The already mentioned “Atomic Heart” cost, according to various estimates, from 30 to 100 million. It was developed from 2017 to 2023 in real production hell - 16 hours a day.

Therefore, to expect that in such conditions “The Troubles” could become the breakthrough of the decade is, to put it mildly, extremely presumptuous.

The game has officially released, its key problems have become visible. Firstly, it’s damp - there are a lot of errors: collapsing buildings, graphical glitches, banal crashes to the desktop. However, already 3 days after the release, on April 7, the developers announced the release of an update: the patch corrects errors in various tasks and fixes various technical flaws.

Secondly, the game still lacks interesting tasks. The key now is to run from point A to point B, listen to the dialogue and run further to listen to the next conversation. At the same time, along the way you can swing your saber and shoot from flintlock rifles.

But what cannot be taken away from the game is its stunning visuals. The artists and designers did a great job. Photogrammetry technology, transferring a real image into a 3D environment, accurately conveys the atmosphere of ancient cities and dense green forests. The characters' outfits look natural and rich.

This is where “Siberia” certainly gave it its all and came close in terms of graphics to modern international projects.

USEFUL EXPERIENCE OF "CYBERPUNK"
Now “Smoot” can be bought for 2015 rubles, the game is exclusively sold on the VK Play platform. This is cheaper than most projects coming out today.

The most important point: the developers promised support for their creation for several years. This is really good and gives hope for correcting errors.

The same superhit game Cyberpunk 2077, in which the Polish studio CD Projekt Red invested 400 million dollars, came out in such an indigestible state that it had to be removed from sale on some digital platforms. The technical problems of “The Troubles”, compared to those in the overseas action film, seem like baby talk.

But the Poles did not give a damn about their brainchild and methodically completed the game over the course of four years. Gamers positively assessed the changes and voted with their wallets.

The secret to polishing Cyberpunk, among other things, lies in communication with end consumers. Throughout the years of development, players actively sent in their comments, and game makers scrupulously took notes on ideas.

As a result, not only the rough edges disappeared, but in many aspects the final product itself changed beyond recognition for the better, becoming a reference masterpiece and earning many honorary awards.

RETURN COWS AND SAVE BEAUTIES
What can help “Smoot” become better?

First, correcting technical errors.

Secondly, a deeper study of the gameplay, the emergence of new tasks. For example, to knock out the robber detachments of Poles from Russian villages in order to gain a reputation among the common people, which is converted into the growing power of the militia of Minin and Pozharsky. The more feats we perform, the more powerful the Russian army becomes and, therefore, the easier it is to free Moscow from foreign invaders. And this, whatever one may say, is the ultimate goal.

Thirdly, the game is filled with small quests: they stole a cow - return it, captured a beauty - free it.
Praiseworthy goals, both.
The main thing is not to stop. Then everything will sparkle with new colors. The worst thing you can do now is fold your arms and say that the project is obviously unsuccessful, let's try another one.

I picked up the tug - don’t say it’s not strong.

Crumbley sentencing: Parents of Michigan school shooter Jennifer and James get 15 years behind bars
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] James Crumbley was seen crying as he and wife Jennifer each received a landmark 15 year prison sentence over their son Ethan's school massacre.

James was unable to contain his emotion as a Michigan judge ordered him and his estranged wife to spend 10-15 years behind bars on Tuesday.

Fifteen years was the maximum sentence available to the pair, who will each have two years subtracted from their sentences for time served.

The parents were convicted at separate trials in February as juries found they ignored their son's pleas for mental health help while buying him the firearm he used to massacre four classmates in 2021.

Their sentences will be served minus the near-two-and-a-half years they have already served, and they will be barred from contacting to their son's victim's families.

The sentence was read shortly after the heartbroken mother of one of Ethan Crumbley's victims slammed his parents for a lack of remorse, as she pleaded with a judge to impose the maximum sentence of 15 years, which they ultimately received.

Speaking at the sentencing hearing, Nicole Beausoliel, the mother of slain Madisyn Baldwin, 17, scathed the couple as 'failed parents.'

'You've shown no remorse or respect to our family,' the stricken mother said through tears. 'The words involuntary should not be a part of your sentence.'

Her tearful statement was followed by the mother of Justin Shilling, who echoed Beausoliel's grief as she condemned them for not 'cherishing or even wanting your son.'

'But I cherished and wanted mine,' she added. 'You failed your son.'

Although the parents were a POS.
But the sentence will take a few years to appeal.

Why the sentence?
Besides Political show... the School system is facing 2+ $100M lawsuits.

I would suggest reading the WiKi File on this.

Based on this kids social posts, being on a suicide watch, other over the top acts, and his reported classroom statements. It shows about a dozen MISSED opportunities for School officials to have averted /100% avoided the school shooting... days, weeks, months prior.

BTW: On October 24, 2022, Crumbley also admitted during questioning that his used own money to purchase the weapon. So was it the parents weapon and did they even know their 15-16 yo had it?

OBTW: Who sold it to him being a minor?

Zelensky announces a new counteroffensive plan for the Ukrainian Armed Forces: Western weapons are needed
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Ukraine has a plan for a new counter-offensive, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said in an interview with the German publication Bild.

“Yes, we have a counteroffensive plan,” he admitted.

Zelensky emphasized that for the offensive operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, modern weapons systems from Western allies, including the United States, are needed. He also expressed hope that the partners will provide Kyiv with the latest technologies for the production of the latest types of weapons.

As Regnum reported, according to American billionaire David Sachs, the summer counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2023 became one of the largest military defeats in modern history. The failure of Ukraine was led, among other things, by the “reckless support” of the United States. Until the American authorities are held accountable for their policies, Ukraine will face destruction, he added.

On February 20, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin that the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces learned at the beginning of 2023 about the preparation of a large-scale counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and took measures to build a deeply layered defense. Ukrainian troops, according to the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, planned to reach the Sea of Azov. As a result, they did not even reach the first line of defense and lost more than half of the Leopard tanks and 123 aircraft and helicopters supplied to Kiev during the counteroffensive, the minister specified.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a counteroffensive on June 4, 2023. It was widely advertised in Ukraine, but the campaign was not successful. On January 16, Vladimir Putin announced the complete failure of the Ukrainian army’s attempt to advance.

#2  To be fair, the plan for the previous Ukrainian offensive - driving south and cutting Crimea - was strategically sound. The only flies in that ointment were the fact that the Ukrainians lacked the necessary combat power and would face the same problems that plagued the Russians, namely that they would be assaulting over open ground into prepared and well-developed enemy positions while faced with massive artillery fire. Other than that, it was a great idea.

Russian Armed Forces liberate the village of Pervomaiskoye in the DPR
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Russian armed forces liberated the village of Pervomaiskoye in the DPR, advisor to the head of the republic Yan Gagin said on April 9.

Russian military personnel hoisted a flag over the village, Gagin noted.

“Yes, they really liberated us, our fighters hoisted the flag of the Russian Federation,” Gagin told RIA Novosti.

The liberation of Pervomaisky testifies to the dynamic advancement of the Russian army; the liberation of the territory of the DPR continues, the adviser to the head of the republic added.

As Regnum reported, on April 5, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, announced the liberation by Russian troops of the village of Vodyanoye on the Avdeevsky direction in the DPR.

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on April 2 that since the beginning of the year, the Russian army has liberated 403 square meters. km of territory. In March 2024, the Russian Armed Forces drove the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the settlements of Nevelskoye, Orlovka, Tonenkoye and Krasnoye in the DPR and the village of Mirnoye in the Zaporozhye region.

Advisor to the head of the DPR, Igor Kimakovsky, in turn, noted that detachments of the Russian Armed Forces have already reached the outskirts of Chasov Yar in the DPR.

On April 9, Konashenkov reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had lost up to 240 military personnel in the Avdeevka direction over the past 24 hours. Units of the “Center” group of troops improved the tactical situation in this direction and repelled 11 counterattacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Pervomaisky, Novobakhmutovka, Umansky and Berdychi in the DPR, noted an official representative of the Ministry of Defense.

The tactics are the same as in Avdeevka. Russia storms Chasov

The Russian army is trying to surround Chasov Yar.

Russian troops in the Chasovoy Yar area are using their traditional double push method.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, has repeatedly stated that the situation remains “particularly difficult” near Pervomaisky and Vodyanoy, as well as east of Chasovoy Yar in the Donetsk region, where Russian troops are trying to break through the Ukrainian defenses.

In parallel with this, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, reported that the invaders were really planning to advance towards Chasovoy Yar. According to him, the enemy’s strategic goal is Pokrovsk. At the same time, as Budanov noted, the GUR expected the strengthening of Russian offensive actions in late spring and early summer, but now there is information that the enemy has begun to storm Chasov Yar.

"LEVELED TO THE GROUND"
Today, the Ukrainian resource Deep State reported that Russian troops have significantly advanced in the direction of Chasovoy Yar. Namely - in Bogdanovka and from Ivanovsky.

This information is confirmed by the American Institute for the Study of War. Analysts, citing geolocation footage, note that the Russian army had already advanced to the southwest of Bogdanovka on April 8.

DeepState also published a video in which the Russians allegedly “level Chasov Yar to the ground.” This probably happens with the use of guided bombs.

“There are constant air raids on the city, dropping KAB and FAB. The enemy is starting to intensify aviation in that area and the Avdiivka scenario could be repeated there,” analysts believe.

Later, DeepState co-founder and analyst Roman Pogorely clarified that the Russians are indeed advancing on Chasov Yar. In particular, the enemy has significantly increased the intensity of air strikes and is also carrying out ground operations.

“Recently, our military has had a very difficult time in Chasovy Yar. Because the defenders are forced to hold the line and repel massive enemy attacks. The Russians are forming columns and increasing the intensity of shelling. The enemy has now begun to raze the city to the ground, using a large number of aircraft. Aircraft are increasing every time raids by the enemy. KABs and FABs are being dropped, and this is a matter of helping our air defense partners to destroy enemy aircraft and not let them in,” Pogorely noted.

According to him, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding out, but stubborn fighting continues both in the Chasovoy Yar area and in the area of Ivanovsky and Bogdanovka.

“The Russians are trying to get close from all sides, somehow get through with infantry and equipment. They work with drones and destroy everything around with aircraft. But the Defense Forces are holding out, and we must help our defenders with this,” Pogorely emphasized.

TRADITIONAL METHOD OF THE RUSSIAN ARMY
BILD expert on open data analysis Julian Repke, who has studied the maneuvers of the Russian army near Chasovoy Yar over the past 10 days, believes that the occupying forces are advancing on the city using double push tactics.

According to him, this is not a new method for the Russian Federation; it has already used it before during the capture of Ukrainian cities and villages. The essence of double push is to bypass enemy positions from the flanks and simultaneously make a direct frontal attack.

“In the battle for Chasov Yar, the Russian invading forces are trying to implement their successful (Avdeevka, Bakhmut, Novomikhailovka, etc.) double strike tactics: pincers from the north and south plus a direct assault on the city from the east,” writes Repke.

ADVANCE OF THE RUSSIAN ARMY
Let us note that Deep State on the evening of April 9 confirmed the information of the Russian so-called military correspondents that the invaders had captured Pervomaiskoye in the Avdeevsky direction.

According to the resource, the Russians managed to break through the defenses of the rifle battalion of the 59th brigade and completely took control of the settlement, the battles for which actually began in August 2022.

In turn, Repke said that Russian troops entered Krasnogorovka, which is located 20 km west of Donetsk near the village of Staromikhailovka. Dozens of soldiers likely occupied several residential areas south and north of the railroad tracks, a BILD expert noted.

Judging by footage from the scene, Russian troops entered there in armored vehicles from the southeast from near Maryinka, crossing the railway line.

“Until evidence to the contrary emerges, we have to assume that Russia has successfully landed dozens of troops in the south of Krasnogorovka and is now occupying several residential areas south and north of the railroad tracks,” Roepke writes.

It should be noted that there is no official confirmation of information from Deep State and Repka.

Porn with children aged 3 to 14 years old, filmed in Donbass, was found on the phone of an Ukrainian Armed Forces militant.
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Sexual exploitation of children long has been a beef with Russian security services.

[Regnum] During the exhumation of the bodies of Ukrainian Armed Forces militants in Popasna (LPR), a phone was found that contained porn with children aged 3 to 14 years old filmed in the Donbass, the secretary of the Interdepartmental Working Group for searching for the graves of victims of Ukrainian aggression, Sergei Belov, said on April 9.

The militants were liquidated about two years ago, information from electronic devices found next to the discovered bodies was partially restored, Belov told RIA Novosti.

A microSD card was removed from the smartphone, which at first glance did not contain anything special, but the question arose as to why the visual content did not correspond to the large amount of occupied space, a representative of the group said.

“We were forced to pay more attention to this flash drive itself, we sorted through it for quite a long time, discovered a hidden partition, and tried to gain access to it one way or another. Photos containing pornographic images of children were discovered,” Belov noted.

The study showed that all three men whose bodies were discovered died as a result of shelling, while two of the men were in the uniform of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the third, the owner of the phone with child porn, had no identification marks, the material said.

It was also established that the photographs found on the smartphone were not downloaded and that the shooting took place in the same area of Donbass, Belov also noted.

Popasnaya was released from the Ukrainian Armed Forces on May 7, 2022.

As reported by IA Regnum, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service previously reported that American private military companies, with the participation of the country's authorities, are recruiting Mexican and Colombian drug dealers in US prisons to be sent to Ukraine.

The United States is resorting to increasingly desperate methods in attempts to turn the tide in the theater of military operations, replenishing the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with “rabble” who have a penchant for armed violence, the service’s press bureau noted in a statement.

The Ukrainian people, under the influence of propaganda, have changed a lot over the last decade, the masses of people have degenerated morally, said the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, in February 2024. This applies not only to political beliefs; the effect of many years of impregnation with hatred and lies is much broader, the governor noted.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces militants who were previously under the influence of Kyiv propaganda, who were captured in Russian captivity, quickly change their thinking, “as if scales were falling from their eyes,” Saldo also said.

The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
by selling Israel arms in a suit to the top UN court by Nicaragua reflecting mounting legal action in support of Paleostinians.

Germany has been one of Israel's staunchest allies since the October 7 attacks and ensuing Israeli offensive against the Gaza Strip. It is one of its biggest arms suppliers, sending 326.5 million euros ($353.70 million) in military equipment and weapons in 2023, according to Economy Ministry data.

Germany and other Western nations have faced street protests, various legal cases, and accusations of hypocrisy from campaign groups who say Israel has killed too many Paleostinian civilians in its six-month military assault.

But Tania von Uslar-Gleichen, legal adviser for the German Foreign Ministry, told the International Court of Justice judges that Nicaragua's case was rushed and based on flimsy evidence.

Arms exports were scrutinised to ensure adherence to international law, she said.

'When we saw the dome, we ran there.' How people from Crocus were saved in the cathedral
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Kirill Velesov

[REGNUM] On the evening of March 22, the phone rang at the rector of the St. Nicholas Cathedral in Pavshinskaya Poima, Krasnogorsk, Father Vasily Losev. The phone said that a crowd of people was running towards the cathedral from Crocus City Hall.

The doors were immediately opened, and 60 people were able to take refuge inside. Mostly orchestra musicians who were supposed to perform with the Picnic group. A few minutes before the start of the concert, the conductor saw that armed people had broken into the building and managed to get all the musicians out.

Once on the street, frightened people saw the dome of the temple and rushed to it. Inside, the musicians warmed up, and when it became clear that the danger had passed, they went home.

In a conversation with IA Regnum, Father Vasily told how the cathedral helped the victims of the terrorist attack.

IA Regnum: How and where did you learn about the tragedy in Crocus?

Father Vasily Losev : That day I performed a service and left in the evening. When the first news from the media began to arrive that the Crocus was burning, I was outside the cathedral. At approximately 20:30, the person on duty at the temple called me and said that a mass of people were running towards the cathedral along the Pavshinsky Bridge across the Moscow River.

Of these, about 60 people (mostly members of the orchestral group) asked to come to our church. I said that we need to accommodate them and try to help.

There were no wounded among them. They didn't need serious help. Our parish did not perform any heroic deed. The temple just happened to be in the way of people. Our cathedral became a place where people could get their bearings and understand what to do next.

IA Regnum: What condition were these people in?

Father Vasily Losev: According to the duty officer, they were under terrible stress. They shared terrible experiences with each other. They were without outerwear.

We, together with the secretary of His Holiness the Patriarch for the Moscow region, Archpriest Dionisy Kazantsev, immediately decided to go to the place. They informed His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and Archbishop Thomas of Odintsovo and Krasnogorsk about what had happened by telephone. They reported that there had been a terrorist attack and that people had taken refuge in the temple.

We were given a blessing to organize an operational headquarters for helping the victims in the temple. We expected that many people could immediately contact us. But at night, practically none of the victims came - this was not necessary. Volunteers and some of our parishioners gathered. Representatives of the Krasnogorsk city district administration also came.

In addition, at the moment when people took refuge in the temple, we were afraid that terrorists from Crocus might go across the bridge towards the Pavshinskaya floodplain. And I asked the duty officer to turn off the lights in the temple and take people to safe rooms. Thank God, everything worked out. The situation began to calm down. People stayed with us for about an hour and began to leave.

Then we created a group on Telegram. Information began to flow there from ordinary people regarding who was ready to provide what kind of help. There were dog handlers, doctors, and just volunteers. They offered clothes and food.

But, since we were in touch with the government of the Moscow region and everything was immediately well organized, no help was needed. People were taken to Moscow and Krasnogorsk hospitals, provided with everything they needed. And we realized that our main task is to console people and pray with them for the dead and injured. This is what we did for the next few days.

IA Regnum: What exactly did they do?

Father Vasily Losev: We celebrated the first funeral service on the same day at midnight. One of the priests from our parish remained on duty in the church all night. We were prepared for the fact that the relatives of the victims would come all this time. But mostly people started coming in the morning.

On Saturday, a help center opened on the premises of the regional branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation. We agreed with the operational headquarters of the Moscow region that priests will be on duty there along with psychologists.

For three days, the priests there received the victims and communicated with them.

And we also helped psychologists who did a lot of work, bringing people out of a state of despondency and grief. People thawed out, came to their senses and began to think about how they should live further.

Then on Saturday, Bishop Thomas arrived. Together with the parishioners and clergy of our cathedral, me and Father Dionysius, he performed a memorial service for the dead.

And on Sunday, the Day of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, we served with His Holiness the Patriarch at the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. His Holiness the Patriarch fervently prayed for all the dead and injured. After the service, Bishop Thomas and I went to the Krasnogorsk hospital. The Bishop conveyed to the injured patients the blessing and prayerful wishes of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill for the healing of spiritual and physical wounds.

I remember a 22-year-old girl there who didn’t know where her mother was. It soon became known that my mother had been found.

In general, the patients were cheerful. The doctors supported them from the first minutes.

Bishop Thomas thanked the doctors and presented the patients with small icons with the image of St. Luke (in the world - Valentin Voino-Yasenetsky ). This is actually a saint of our time. He is both a bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church and a famous doctor. At one time, he even received the Stalin Prize for “Essays on Purulent Surgery.”

During the Great Patriotic War, he healed many people with his prayers and medical work. They pray to him for the healing of all the sick and wounded.

From the hospital we headed to the site of the tragedy, where Vladyka Thomas, together with the clergy of the Odintsovo diocese, performed a memorial service at the site of the tragedy. From that moment on, priests began to be on duty near Crocus every day from 7 to 21 and perform funeral services every two hours.

IA Regnum: Have you thought about the people who come to you, who they are?

Father Vasily Losev: We didn’t even think about it. They didn’t ask who was what nationality or religion. We didn’t even wonder what they were doing during Lent at the concert. They tried to help everyone.

There were a lot of people who showed themselves heroically during those events. I know that the director of the concert hall, Roman Grachev, was already at the scene of the tragedy from the first minutes and helped people. Crocus employees also tried to preserve video equipment to help the investigation understand how the terrorists acted.

If we talk about our parish, we simply witnessed the events and tried to do something to help. In any case, the tragedy left no one indifferent.

— IA Regnum: You said that after the tragedy, priests were on duty together with psychologists. Once upon a time, the priest actually performed the role of a psychologist, but now there has been a separation of these functions. What does your work have in common? And what are the differences?

Father Vasily Losev : During the tragic events, we had a common goal - spiritual support for people. Priests also support people with their hearts and prayers. As for psychologists, it was not ordinary psychologists who worked there, but clinical psychologists. These are people with medical education. They worked using professional medical instruments.

As I already said, the priests also helped the psychologists themselves. It was very difficult for them too. Every professional experiences stress. Due to psychological stress, a person may feel despondent. And despondency is more a spiritual rather than a psychological state. It is overcome by prayer and human support. And Christian kindness, which can accept any person, embrace with love and listen.

At such moments, the Lord gives the necessary words of support that a person needs.

For example, one girl was very worried because she saved herself, but could not help anyone. I told her: “Don’t worry so much. First of all, you are not obligated to save anyone at your young age. Yes, you couldn't do that. Secondly, you helped people by evacuating yourself. Thanks to this, the professionals did not have to be distracted by you. They helped those who needed it."

With these simple words and prayer, we helped people find at least some peace of mind.

Residents of Azerbaijan expressed polar opinions about the long weekend on Eid al-Adha
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] April 10-14 has been declared a holiday in Azerbaijan in connection with the celebration of Eid al-Adha. Residents of the country employed in the service sector complained about the loss of income due to the long weekend. Employees of organizations, on the contrary, expressed satisfaction that five days were declared non-working at once.

As the "Caucasian Knot" reported, in 2024, the fasting month of Ramadan in most republics of the North Caucasus began on March 11. In Azerbaijan, March 11 was also declared the first day of Ramadan.

Ramadan  is the ninth month of the Muslim lunar calendar, a month of fasting, spiritual and moral purification, as well as strengthening faith and will. During Ramadan, Muslims must abstain from food and drink during daylight hours. The month of fasting ends with the holiday of breaking  the fast of Eid  al-Fitr.

This year, Ramadan in Azerbaijan will end on April 10, an employee of the Caucasus Muslims Office said. “April 9 is the last day of fasting, and on the morning of the 10th, festive prayers will be held in the country’s mosques,” he told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

In the country, the days from April 10 to 14 will be days off due to the celebration of Ramadan (Eid al-Fitr).

In order for the weekend to last continuously, working and non-working days have been moved in the calendar. April 10 and 11 were declared holidays. They also swapped Saturday April 6th, which was a working day, with Friday April 12th. April 13-14 is a calendar weekend. Thus, five days in a row will be non-working, an employee of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Some residents of the country expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that five days were declared holidays at once.

“I have a small store near the Neftchilyar metro station. If I don’t open it, there will be no income. Therefore, I will not work for only one day, April 10. In the morning I will go to the mosque for holiday prayer, and then I will go to the cemetery for commemoration of deceased parents and close relatives,” Baku resident Emin Aliyev told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

Elnara Gurbanova, who works as a hairdresser in a beauty salon, also noted that she would only take advantage of one day off.

"My work is piecework. I am not happy with rest at the expense of myself. Of course, I can take advantage of two holidays and one day off, but in this case I will not have income. I am young, full of energy, why should I sit at home? Better I’ll go to work, especially since there are always more clients than usual on holidays and weekends,” the girl told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

Municipal employee Elkhan Akhmedov, on the contrary, said that he was pleased with the long weekend. “My family and I will go to the region to visit my parents. We’ll visit them, and at the same time we’ll relax in nature,” he told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

Bank employee Elchin Mammadov said that their institution will not work for five days. “We decided to use the long weekend to travel to Tbilisi. Maybe we’ll also go to some region of Georgia,” Mamedov shared with the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

The Moon 'Is Made Up Mostly of Gases,' Sheila Jackson Lee Tells Students
[Townhall] Same dipshit that thought we landed men on Mars. Decades ago.
While Democrats and leftist alarmists decry conservatives for supposedly peddling "misinformation" about "the Science™" related to climate, COVID, and genders (there are two, FYI), their own Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas is out and about telling constituents some real whoppers about the solar eclipse.

Speaking on Monday at an event she claims to have "created" at Booker T. Washington High School in her Houston-area district, she tried to provide some scientific explanation for the solar system's workings — but any students who listened are going to fail Astronomy 101.

"You have the energy of the moon at night," Jackson Lee tried explaining to attendees, seeming to misunderstand that the moon doesn't release energy at night, it is merely reflecting light from the sun.

"And sometimes you've heard the word 'full moon,'" she continued. "Sometimes you need to take the opportunity just to come out and see a full moon," which the graduate of Yale explained is a "complete rounded circle which is made up mostly of gases."

Huh? The moon is, well, solid. That's why astronauts can...land on it. There is a notable lack of gases on the moon, hence the need for space suits for the Apollo astronauts to not immediately die outside of their lunar landers.

Undeterred, Jackson Lee continued, saying "that's why the question is why — or how — could we as humans live on the moon. The gas is such that we can do that," the representative who previously served on the House's Science Committee and Space and Aeronautics Committee claimed. According to NASA, the moon's "weak atmosphere and its lack of liquid water cannot support life as we know it," but seemingly not as Jackson Lee knows it.

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: April 9, 2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title.

[Korrespondent] 21:51 Bloomberg writes, citing sources, that Ukraine is behind the fire on the Russian ship Serpukhov in the Baltic Sea. The attack was carried out by Ukrainian agents, according to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. However, neither the Russian military nor Kremlin officials mentioned the incident.

21:42 The number of victims as a result of today's strikes on Slavyansk, Donetsk region, has increased to three, said the head of the OVA Vadim Filashkin.

21:37 Russian troops in the Chasova Yar area of the Donetsk region are using their traditional double push method. Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky has repeatedly stated that the situation near Pervomaisky and Vodyanoy, as well as east of Chasov Yar, remains “particularly difficult.” The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, also reported that the Russians plan to advance towards Chasov Yar. According to him, the enemy’s strategic goal is Pokrovsk. More details about the situation can be found in the material Tactics as in Avdeevka.

20:43 The European Union has begun preparing the 14th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation,
I’m shocked that anything Russian remains unsanctioned at this point.
which should be adopted in the spring of 2024, said Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis. He said the package "will likely include a wide range of restrictive measures with a strong emphasis on combating circumvention - for example in the maritime sector, as Russia continues to try to violate the price cap on oil exports." In addition, the EU is looking for a way to stop sanctions evasion through Western subsidiaries operating outside Europe.

19:28 British Foreign Minister David Cameron said that London and Washington “have made progress” on the issue of transferring frozen assets of the Russian Federation to Ukraine. According to him, the project will be presented at the G7 summit in June.

18:51 Today the Russian army carried out two strikes on the industrial zone in Slavyansk, Donetsk region, said the mayor of the city, Vadim Lyakh. Two people who were on the street during the shelling were wounded. Lyakh noted that recently the number of shellings in neighboring communities has been increasing, and in Slavyansk itself, for the first time in a long time, shelling occurs during the day, and during rush hour.

18:39 The Russians attacked the Odessa region from Crimea, probably with an Iskander-M ballistic missile. The strike was carried out on a coastal recreational area, the consequences are being clarified, the Southern Defense Forces reported.

18:26 The new Minister of Defense of Bulgaria Atanas Zapryanov promised to speed up the provision of military assistance to Ukraine. Now we are talking about two aid packages. “We will try to speed up the provision of assistance to Ukraine. Further opportunities for direct military assistance will be considered,” the minister noted.

18:22 On the night of April 9, in the city of Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region of the Russian Federation, several drones attacked the aviation training center for flight personnel training named after V.P. Chkalov. The Russians announced supposedly minor attacks on educational buildings, but the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine and the media claim that the 711th aircraft repair plant was operating on the territory of the center. About what the enterprise produced, see the material Impact on Borisoglebsk.

17:39 Russia simulated a drone attack on the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant in order to blame Ukraine, said GUR representative Andrei Yusov: “Today Russia decided to use FPV drones to simulate shelling allegedly from Ukraine. Ukraine’s position is clear - we do not carry out any actions or provocations against nuclear facilities "We're doing it. The aggressor must leave the nuclear power plant."

17:27 The United States transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces more than 5,000 AK-47 assault rifles, machine guns, sniper rifles, RPG-7s and over 500 thousand rounds of ammunition. Central Command said the weapon was an Iranian Revolutionary Guard weapon intended for Yemen's Houthis. It was confiscated in raids on four ships in 2021 and 2023.

16:58 The Russians fired artillery and MLRS at Semyonovka, Chernihiv region, one death is known, said the head of the OBA, Vyacheslav Chaus.

16:25 The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation stated that the terrorist attack in Crocus was allegedly financed through the Ukrainian oil and gas company Burisma Holdings, of which Joe Biden’s son Hunter was previously a member of the board of directors. The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on “financing of terrorism by officials of the United States and NATO countries.”

15:56 Russian troops launched at least two strikes on a civilian enterprise in Kharkov, first by KAB. There are destructions and fires of buildings; at the moment, three employees of the enterprise are known to be injured, said the head of the OVA Oleg Sinegubov. The clearance of the rubble continues; there may be people under it.

15:42 The Russians shelled Konstantinovka, Donetsk region - currently one death and two wounded are known, said the head of the OVA Vadim Filashkin. Two more people may be under the rubble of one of the houses, and the search operation continues. The bomb damaged 27 private houses, three high-rise buildings, two infrastructure facilities and an administrative building. Another person was wounded in Sokol, Ochereti community.

15:17 Zelensky is on a working visit to the Kharkov region, got acquainted with the process of construction of defense structures and fortifications near the border with the Russian Federation:

14:50 Putin is expected to make a state visit to China this year, the Russian Foreign Ministry said following Lavrov’s visit to Beijing.

14:19 Germany is considering the possibility of purchasing Patriot air defense systems from third countries, since their allies have run out of them, Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock said.

14:11 The IAEA will hold a meeting due to drone strikes on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, writes Reuters. According to the agency, the extraordinary meeting was convened by Russia and will take place on April 9.

14:06 The number of victims as a result of yesterday's Russian strike on a house in the Poltava region has increased to 16, of which four are children aged between five and 11 years, said the head of the OVA, Philip Pronin.

13:53 The German concern Rheinmetall announced that, on behalf of the German government, it will transfer another 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine. Delivery of the new batch is scheduled for 2024. The ordered version of the 1A3 Marder will be equipped with built-in laser rangefinders, allowing effective and precise destruction of targets.

13:15 Russia, attracting political strategists and bot farms, launched a disinformation campaign in Europe to impede the supply of aid to Ukraine, The Washington Post writes, citing intelligence documents. We are talking about more than 100 documents dated from spring 2022 to August 2023. Documents show that the Russian Federation is working in France and Germany to weaken support for Ukraine.

12:38 The Australian elite sent a letter to Treasurer Jim Chalmers, in which they called for the confiscation of $9 billion in Russian assets frozen by the Australian authorities and to direct them to financial support for Ukraine, writes the Sydney Morning Herald. The letter's signatories include former prime ministers, businessmen, trade union and military leaders, and former diplomats.

12:12 The Russians wanted to transfer the Serpukhov missile ship, disabled after a fire, from the Kaliningrad region to the Black Sea, said GUR representative Andrei Yusov. According to him, this ship did not participate in the war, but due to the loss of part of the Black Sea Fleet, it was considered as a replacement. Yusov noted that the ship remained afloat, but modern equipment burned out, so repairs will take a long time.

11:56 Russia again accused Ukraine of allegedly attacking a drone on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant - this time the drone, according to the occupation “authorities,” hit the roof of the training center, there were no casualties.

11:44 At night, the Russian Federation attacked a high-voltage substation in the Poltava region - a fire broke out on the territory, which was extinguished by the State Emergency Service. There were no injuries, the equipment was damaged, the Ministry of Energy reported. A high-voltage substation in the Lviv region was also attacked - equipment caught on fire, but there were no casualties. In the Dnepropetrovsk region, as a result of military operations, two high-voltage overhead lines were simultaneously switched off and an industrial facility was de-energized.

11:09 The Office of the Prosecutor General is conducting an investigation into 27 criminal proceedings regarding the execution of 54 Ukrainian prisoners of war. The Office also tentatively confirmed the execution of Ukrainian prisoners on April 7 near Krynki, Kherson region, but the details are still being verified.

10:35 GUR representative Andrey Yusov confirmed a night attack by drones on an aviation enterprise in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region of the Russian Federation. He added that, according to preliminary information, “the main production capacities of the enterprise were affected.”

10:16 Elon Musk’s Starlink continues to work for the Russians - the company has not yet disconnected a single terminal in the occupied territory of Ukraine, writes The Wall Street Journal. Russia has allegedly officially banned the purchase of Starlink terminals, but they continue to be supplied through intermediaries. Most orders come from volunteers who support the Russian army. The company can block their operation in certain countries and places, but "Musk stated that, to the best of his knowledge, not a single terminal was directly or indirectly sold in the Russian Federation, and that the terminals will not operate on Russian territory."

09:43 On the night of April 9, two drones attacked the Borisoglebsk aviation training center named after Chkalov in the Voronezh region, the opposition Russian publication Astra reported. Both drones exploded, damaging the building's façade and windows. There were no casualties.

09:28 British Foreign Minister David Cameron will meet with Trump, Secretary of State Blinken during his visit to the United States, and will also speak to legislators in Congress with a request to accept an aid package for Ukraine.

08:52 Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said following negotiations with Lavrov that China supports the convening of a peace conference on Ukraine “with equal participation of all parties and discussion of all peace plans.” He also noted that China and the Russian Federation “should promote a multipolar world, resist the monopoly of several countries and promote the democratization of relations in the world.”

In turn, Lavrov said that Russia and China agreed to “start a dialogue on Eurasian security with the involvement of other countries.” He also stated that he “discussed the Ukrainian crisis with the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.” According to him, the Russian Federation will cooperate with the IAEA “in light of the attack on the Zaporizhia NPP.”

“My Chinese colleagues and I confirmed the conclusion that any international events are futile, which not only do not take into account Russia’s position, but completely ignore it, which promote an absolutely empty, ultimatum so-called Zelensky peace formula and are thereby completely divorced from any realities “, Lavrov said and again supported the Chinese “settlement” plan.

08:47 In the Lviv region, during a night attack, debris from a downed drone damaged a critical infrastructure facility. The fire was quickly extinguished, no people were injured, said Maxim Kozitsky, head of the Fire Department.

Another 14 attacks were repulsed in the Bakhmut direction - in the areas of the settlements of Belogorovka in the Lugansk region, as well as Verkhnekamennoye, Spornoe, Kleshcheevka, Andreevka, Stupochki in the Donetsk region.

The enemy did not conduct offensive actions in the Kupyansk direction.
