‘Don't Forget Kargil's Lesson', Musharraf Warns India
[Tribune.PK] ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Chairman Pervez Musharraf has cautioned New Delhi against war rhetoric against Pakistan, saying that India should not forget what the lesson taught to them in the Kargil war.
I don't know how he chooses to remember the darn thing, but all we learnt was - don't let 'em just leave even when they're running.
The former military ruler was addressing party workers on the APML's founding day in Islamabad via telephone from Dubai on Sunday.

He said that Pakistan's desire for peace should not be seen as weakness, adding,"The Pakistan armed forces are ready to give a befitting response to any Indian misadventure."

Musharraf slammed Indian politicians and military commanders for ramping up tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours with their "irresponsible statements."

He referred to the battle of Kargil back in 1999, in which he claimed India was compelled to seek US mediation to end the conflict.

The former president said Kashmir is in the blood of Pakistani nation. "We will continue to stand by our Kashmiri brethren no matter what."

#1  Meh. According to Wikipedia, Pakistan lost the Kargil Conflict. And they lost it in only two months, so I’m not sure what threat the former president of Pakistan intends to communicate here — “Don’t beat the pants off us again”?

Rapper stabbed at multicultural BBC funded gig
[TheSun] GRIME artist Krept has said "I'll be back in no time" after he was slashed at a BBC Radio 1Xtra event in Birmingham last night.

The musician, 29, is part of London-based group Krept & Konan - who have spoken in defence of drill music.

Around 9,000 fans were booted out of the Birmingham Arena halfway through the event.

Rap stars from Aitch to French Montana were billed to perform before the knife attack close to the city centre.

Police confirmed that somebody suffered a slash wound in the backstage area of the West Midlands event.

It is understood that Krept was the victim of the assault.

1Xtra Live was billed as an "unmissable night" with a "mix of emerging and established artists". Tickets had sold out - the Arena Birmingham has a capacity of 15,800.

Hillary enters 2020 race after entire Democratic field have surprise heart attacks
[GenesiusTimes - Satire, Herb] Hillary Clinton has officially entered the 2020 presidential race after the entire Democratic field were sidelined with heart attacks.

"I will begrudgingly take up the torch for the Democratic nomination now that all 12 of my opponents have surprisingly been taken out due to heart trouble," Clinton said in a press conference.

The campaign expressed its shock and sadness for such an unprecedented number of surprise heart attacks in people who are associated with the Clintons.

"We've known many people who have had surprise heart trouble over the years and when I'm elected president I will make it a priority to increase the funding for heart disease research," Clinton added.

Having learned her lesson about calling half of the potential electorate "deplorable," Clinton will be running on the position that now 70% of America are deplorable.

Clinton was heard offering Bernie Sanders some hope: "Just be glad you didn't commit suicide!"

Climate protests are how white people claim victimhood
I think he hit the nail here
[SenseOfEvents] Because we live now in a victimhood culture ("Help! Help! I'm being oppressed!"), it is a matter of honor and social standing to be identified as a victim of something, somehow. It is simply an essential part of what it means to be woke.

So let's take a look at the recent children's marches against climate change. Notice anything?

These protests are extremely pale. I mean, they make NASCAR look like a melting pot! And some people are noticing:

...There is a reason for this. For white progressives, climate change is a unique issue in which racial guilt plays little to no role. Other issues such as police brutality, income inequality, and even women’s rights and access to abortion are steeped in what they perceive as the racist foundation of our country. On these issues, white protesters in the post-Occupy age feel they bear no small amount of collective guilt. But on climate change, for once, they can be the victim, not just the ally.

#4  For the Aztecs, the sun god Huitzilopochtli was waging a constant war against darkness, and if the darkness won, the world would end. To keep the sun moving across the sky and preserve their planet, the Aztecs had to feed Huitzilopochtli with human hearts and blood.

So idjits have always been trying to avert world's end, spreading misery for no reason. The inability to allow that just maybe the fate of the earth or humanity is not theirs to engineer, comes from a disbelief in a creator. Insistent and fiercely compulsive atheist academics are to blame for that.

Planned Parenthood opens Illinois 'mega-clinic' secretly built to counter tough Missouri anti-abortion law
[The Hill] Planned Parenthood announced the opening of a new 18,000 square-foot clinic in southern Illinois on Wednesday after more than a year of secretly building the facility.

The new clinic in Illinois is just 13 miles from Missouri's last remaining abortion clinic, located in St. Louis.

CBS News reports that Planned Parenthood used a shell company to build the massive facility, leaving no sign as to who was behind the operation.

Colleen McNicholas, chief medical officer of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri, told the news outlet that the facility was built secretively to avoid protestors and possible delays in construction.

"We were really intentional and thoughtful about making sure that we were able to complete this project as expeditiously as possible because we saw the writing on the wall ‐ patients need better access, so we wanted to get it open as quickly as we could," McNicholas said.

CBS News reports it first visited the facility in August while it was under construction. The completion of the project comes as Missouri’s last abortion clinic is locked in a legal battle after the state’s health department refused to renew its license.

A law passed earlier this year in Missouri would ban abortions in the state after eight weeks, one of the most restrictive measures nationwide. A federal judge in August temporarily blocked the law.

CBS News notes that as several states have enacted more restrictive abortion laws, Illinois is trending in the other direction by expanding abortion access and loosening restrictions. The state earlier this year passed the Reproductive Health Act, which establishes access to abortion as a fundamental right.

The new Illinois facility is expected to start taking patients later this month. McNicholas said she expects an influx of patients coming to the new clinic from Missouri.

A solid point, gentlemen. But should that protection be removed, the inspections — and law suits — will be more easily accomplished, as well as victims and/or their families finding each other to compare notes. Creating a central node also creates a weak point.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Virgil: The Truth About the Bidens Hiding in Plain Sight
[Breitbart] As creator of the modern detective story, Edgar Allan Poe always had a good plot twist up his sleeve. For instance, "The Purloined Letter," from 1844, takes the reader by surprise: The incriminating letter, thought to be expertly hidden, hasn’t been hidden at all‐it’s been hiding in plain sight.

THE SIMPLICITY OF A MYSTERY
That is, while the police had been looking high and low for the incriminating letter ‐peeking into walls, pulling up floorboards‐they hadn’t thought simply to look on the suspect’s desk. At the end of the story, the ace private eye explains that the suspect "had deposited the letter immediately beneath the nose of the whole world, by way of best preventing any portion of that world from perceiving it."

One reason the Poe story endures is that we’ve all had moments like that: when we didn’t notice something that was obvious‐precisely because it was obvious.

Virgil always felt that way about the Clinton Global Initiative: It was an obvious conspiracy staring us in the face. Surely we can all remember that giant international influence-peddling system that has mostly faded away, now that Bill and Hillary don’t have much influence to peddle. Yet for years, plutocrats and miscreants would pay millions to cadge some of the Clintons’ celebrity‐and hope, too, of course, that President Hillary Clinton would deliver for them in the future.

It was all happening right before our eyes, on a swanky stage in Manhattan, and yet most reporters and chatterers thought that what the Clintons were doing was great. (And yes, no doubt, plenty was happening offstage, and that was not so great; too bad so few were interested.)

Olde Tyme Religion
'The fervent prayer of the righteous'..... explained
BLUF:
[Renew America] Which brings us to the crucial matter at hand...

All this comes to the forefront in the battle to reclaim our country from the "fundamental transformation" masterfully engineered ‐ with disturbing success ‐ by Barack Obama and his administration during the past eight years. That battle to correct now-deeply entrenched error will not be won quickly or easily, despite hopeful signs that America is now headed in a much better direction than it was under the "Obama/Clinton/media axis," the popular repudiation of which we have, thankfully, just witnessed.

After all the grassroots activism by so many patriotic Americans (led by stalwart, if imperfect, voices of reason) to spare our country from unthinkable disintegration and calamity in recent years, it's vital that each of us make sure we are doing the single most important thing needed for our nation to survive in liberty: praying as Christ prayed.

It's not enough to rely on political action alone in so important a cause, vital as such action may be. It's also not enough to rely on the exemplary, skilled efforts of standout patriots among us. Nor is it enough to depend on the prayers or religious efforts of others. If our country is to survive, God requires our own individual faithfulness ‐ as shown by our righteous life, the sincerity of our supplications for deliverance, our commitment to overcome ‐ through Him ‐ our lapses and weaknesses, and above all, our submission to His will, no matter the outcome, as we seek to supplant evil with good, as He defines such things scripturally.

As America's future still hangs in the balance right now, we need to humbly pray to God with all our might for His deliverance, while we do all within our power to conform our life to His scriptural pattern of righteousness and faith.

Our most important duty as citizens of this divinely-endowed nation is to live in harmony with God's will, not our own. Prayer is the way we tell God we are ready for His "will to be done, in earth as it is in heaven."

#6  Prayer is a great equalizer... nay, even an advantage in a conflict. For when God is for us, who can be against us ? By prayer and approaching God we gain not only an understanding of the disposition of forces from the view on high, but we seek God's help ! God, who 'is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.'

'For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.'

I believe in this sinful age, when a man or woman forgetting the conceit of their education and pride, shall kneel in private and beseech God - the King of Heaven shall move the trajectories of planets in reply. Changing the hearts and minds of petty kings and princes is nothing. God probably gets some of Screwtape's cousins to deal with riff raff like that.

I believe the way to solve any intractable problem lies in humbly approaching God. It is a confession of incompetence and a statement that we now turn to the One we know is able to do all things. Like errant children to a father, acknowledging our frailty and His dominion. The effort alone means a lot to Him even if you don't take a lot of words.

'They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.'

Self help and using our brain for obvious things is good and encouraged even by God, but an old man with a stick and no plan can bring an empire to its knees if God is on his side. He doesn't even need to have read Sun Tzu or Clausewitz.

Prayer can change things that men cannot.

So you think Trump wants to get rid of the Fed?
[Renew America] Yes he does. The Federal Reserve System is collapsing due to the inherent instability of a monetary system, not based on gold & silver, but on the Fed's "right" to create "money" out of thin air [1] which it then lends to the US Treasury (and is added to the national debt),[2] in order to fund the federal government's massive, grotesquely unconstitutional, and out of control spending.

This process of allowing the Fed to create "money" out of thin air with nothing behind it has been going on since 1933, when the promise (set forth in §16 of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913) to redeem Federal Reserve Notes in gold was revoked as to domestic holders;[3] and culminated during 1971, when redemption of the Notes in gold to international holders was also suspended.[4]

Once the statutory promise to back Federal Reserve Notes with gold was rescinded, the sky was the limit on how much fiat "money" the Fed could create, lend to the US Treasury (and be added to the national debt), in order to fund still more massive, grotesquely unconstitutional, and out of control spending by the federal government.

Now we have reached the point where the federal deficits are so huge and increasing at such a furious pace that our entire fiat "money" financial system is coming apart.[5]

So what are we going to do about it? Does Trump want to get rid of the Fed so we can return to the constitutional money system described in Point 2 below?

Trump may say that he wants to return to the gold standard;[6] but the USMCA "Trade Agreement" he signed doesn't do that. The Globalists' Plan, which is advanced by USMCA, is to ratchet up the fiat "money" system created by the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, from a national to a global level with a central bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) managing and enforcing an international monetary system. And as Edwin Vieira, Ph.D., J.D., warned 8 years ago [here]:

#2  The Fed was intended to end the cycle of 19th Century crashes. Instead its presided over 2 depressions (covering the last one with fancy accounting and reporting tricks). A good portion of that collapse was due to the government not enforcing the rules and regulations already on the books. It was further exasperated by government interference into the housing market by making banks and lending institutions put out bad mortgage paper to unqualified individuals, all in the name of 'social justice' not hard (30s learned) financial standards.

Now Alexander Hamilton was around long before Karl Marx. In the last collapse, we should have rechartered his Bank of the United States and absorbed all the failed banks and institutions instead of having a fire sale of their assets and have the taxpayers taking on their debts.

Taliban meet US peace envoy for first time since ‘dead' deal
KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) ‐ The Taliban met with a U.S. envoy in the Pakistani capital, a Taliban official said Saturday, the first such encounter since President Donald Trump announced a month ago that a seemingly imminent peace deal to end Afghanistan’s 18-year war was dead.

The official offered few details of Friday’s meeting between peace envoy Zalmay Khalilzad and the Taliban delegation led by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, a co-founder of the movement that was ousted in 2001 by the U.S.-led coalition. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the news media.

U.S. officials have been keen to say peace talks haven’t resumed, at least not now in Islamabad. Still, the meeting is noteworthy as the United States seeks an exit from what has become its longest military engagement. More than 14,000 U.S. troops are still in Afghanistan and Trump has repeatedly expressed his frustration with their continued deployment, complaining they have taken on the duties of policing the country, a job he said the Afghan government needed to do.

Khalilzad has been in Islamabad for much of the week meeting with senior government officials in what the U.S. State Department described as follow-up meetings to those he held in New York during last month’s U.N. General Assembly session. At the time, he met Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has been calling for a resumption of peace talks.

The Taliban delegation led by Mullah Baradar __one of its more powerful members __ arrived separately in the Pakistani capital for meetings with government officials that they said were being held to discuss a wide range of political issues relating to the more than 1.5 million Afghans still living as refugees in Pakistan.

Baradar was arrested in Pakistan in 2010 in a joint Pakistani-CIA operation after he secretly opened peace talks with then-Afghan President Hamid Karzai, a move that attempted to sideline Pakistan and went against U.S. policy, which did not support talks with the Taliban.

Kansas apologizes for risque Snoop Dogg show at hoops event
LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) ‐ The University of Kansas apologized for its risque Late Night at the Phog event in which rapper Snoop Dogg performed, stripper poles were wheeled onto the Allen Fieldhouse floor and fake money was shot over the heads of prospective recruits.

Athletic director Jeff Long said Friday night "we expected a clean version of the show."

The Jayhawks instead got an R-rated performance for their annual basketball kickoff and another big headache as they deal with a high-level NCAA infractions case tied to recruiting.

"We made it clear to the entertainers’ managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening, to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for his show," Long said in a statement. "I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran not 'drawing back' militarily after Saudi attack - U.S. admiral
[Reuters] "I don’t believe that they’re drawing back at all," Vice Admiral Jim Malloy, commander of the U.S. Navy’s Bahrain-based Fifth Fleet, said in an interview.

The United States, Saudi Arabia, Britain, France and Germany have publicly blamed the attack on Iran, which denies involvement in the strike on the world’s biggest crude oil-processing facility. The Iran-aligned Houthi militant group in Yemen has claimed responsibility.

Malloy did not comment on any U.S. intelligence guiding his assessment. But he acknowledged that he monitored Iranian activities closely, when asked if he had seen any concerning movements of Iranian missiles in recent weeks.

Malloy said he regularly tracks Iranian cruise and ballistic missile movements ‐ "whether they’re moving to storage, away from storage." He also monitors whether Iran’s minelaying capabilities head to distribution sites or away from them.

"I get a briefing of movements on a daily basis and then assessments as to what that could mean," he said.

Relations between the United States and Iran have deteriorated sharply since President Donald Trump pulled out of the Iran nuclear accord last year and reimposed sanctions on its oil exports.

Iraq
91 protesters killed by Iraqi police over week of demonstrations
[The Hill] Dozens of Iraqis are confirmed dead after a week of protests were met with violence from police forces.

The New York Times reported Saturday that the death toll had climbed to 91 across the country after passing 40 dead just a day earlier.

At issue according to protesters is rampant corruption in government and high unemployment rates in the country.

"I came out to the streets to ask for reform in my country and to find salvation from the mafias who have stolen my country and was greeted brutally by the security forces," one 34-year-old demonstrator told the Times after being wounded by police.

"We are peaceful protesters, but the security forces treated us with brutality, as if we were animals, not humans demanding our rights," he added.

Iraq's highest Shi'ite cleric urged protesters to remain nonviolent in his sermon delivered through an aide Friday, while placing blame on the country's federal government.

"The government and the political sides have not fulfilled the demands of the people to fight corruption," Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani said, according to the AP.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Nat Geo Journalist Shot While Interviewing Drug Dealer in Mexico
[Breitbart] Gunmen attacked a National Geographic journalist during an interview with a drug dealer in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. After the shooting, authorities escorted the journalist and his team from the drug den to an international bridge where U.S. consular officials helped them cross the border into El Paso, Texas.

Information released by the Chihuahua Attorney General’s Office revealed that the shooting took place Friday night in the Villa de Olivos neighborhood while the journalist from National Geographic carried out an interview in a drug den or "picadero." During the attack, the journalist sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. The drug dealer being interviewed died from multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities responded to the scene of the attack and rushed the wounded journalist to a local hospital. Others provided security to three other members of the film crew.

State officials did not identify the criminal organization behind the attack.

According to El Diario de Juarez, the journalists had previously been to the headquarters of the Chihuahua Attorney General’s Office for an interview on drug trafficking. The crew did not alert authorities about their planned trip to the drug den where the shooting took place. Just months before, two drug traffickers died during a shooting in that same drug den.

Witness in Murder Trial of Former Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger Fatally Shot, Lawyer Says
[NYT] A witness who delivered key testimony in the trial of Amber Guyger ‐ the white former Dallas police officer convicted this past week in the murder of an unarmed black man, Botham Jean ‐ was fatally shot on Friday night, a lawyer for Mr. Jean’s family said.

The witness, Joshua Brown, 28, who lived in the same apartment complex as Ms. Guyger and Mr. Jean, was shot several times by an unknown assailant, Lee Merritt, the family’s lawyer, said on Twitter Saturday night.

Mr. Brown’s death occurred just two days after a Dallas County jury sentenced Ms. Guyger to 10 years in prison, well short of the maximum 99 years that she could have received in the killing of Mr. Jean, a 26-year-old immigrant from the Caribbean island nation of St. Lucia.

The sentence angered Mr. Jean’s family members and social justice advocates, who said it was another example of failing to hold white police officers like Ms. Guyger accountable for their actions.

Latter prompts at least a flicker of self-doubt and a review of plausible explanations; former's just plain weird, and would perk my lotus-land-living self right up.

Women are stressed, 'burning out' at an alarming rate, new study finds
h/t Instapundit
[KMOV4News] ...According to the study:

48 percent of women said their burnout/stress is so extreme that it keeps them up at night
49 percent of women said that a "work-life balance is a myth"
67 percent of Generation Z women (born after 1995) said "The way things are going, I don't know how I'm going to cope with the stress if it continues at this pace"
81 percent of women say society glorifies being busy

#6  "Burnout" is an official medical diagnosis, according to the World Health Organization.

Interesting word, especially coming from medical experts. Implicit is exhaustion; annihilation of internal resources; unfit and unable to continue functioning...

How many of these women are single I wonder. A single lady would have more troubles than someone with a steady companion. Men and women are really no different in that regard. You have someone to look forward to seeing, someone to relax your heartbeat with their voice - you get by.

All this stress is not because of work or demands of society, those were always there. It's because of the absence of love. What passes for love in most career conscious people is a plastic conformity to accommodate vanities of a sexual partner at best, and grudging territoriality with wanton adultery at worst.

In the absence of love, any existence is a chore.

#7  49 percent of women said that a "work-life balance is a myth"

The other 51 percent are suffering from denial. Their genetic blueprint does not generally include prolonged 'hunter-gatherer' tasks. It denies biological imperatives. The "work-life myth" began some 100 years ago. It continues to be a popular myth and has formed the basis of gender confusion and other dysfunctions.

#9  Feminism has plenty of villains, and most of their fellow feminists don't condemn them, which hypocrisy is not lost on anti-feminists. It's one of the reasons we're anti-feminists. You *created* us, just like a Batman villain. Embarassingly, I was pro-feminist when I was a teen and early twenties. Worst decision of my life. I respected the shit out of women. I didn't want them to feel uncomfortable around me. Women repaid me by letting me keep my virginity. Can you imagine being in a room full of college students, drinking and doing drugs and laughing together, and being the only one who didn't know what sex was like? It was horribly humiliating, again and again. I felt so worthless I wanted to kill myself. And it was all because I listened to feminists.

#16  "work-life balance is a myth"

No it isn’t. It’s just that one has to choose what to give up, because no one, male or female, can have it all. My mother, a brilliant occupational therapist (a branch of physical therapy concentrating on fine motor skills rather than gross motor skills, ie. use of fingers and hands rather than arms and legs), chose career and children, giving up social life and formal regular exercise. Having watched her, I ended up choosing children, social life, and exercise, giving up career. And Mr. Wife concentrated on career, leaving me to manage the family, home front, and much of our social life until I got sick, at which point we both concentrated on making sure the children and home front were handled — me by getting a cleaning lady and stocking up on frozen foods instead of cooking, he by cutting back on the work front and giving up pushing for the next promotion.

Can you imagine being in a room full of college students, drinking and doing drugs and laughing together, and being the only one who didn't know what sex was like?

I’m sorry your youth was blighted by believing the liars among your acquaintance, Herb. I was a college girl, back in the wild late 1970s, and I guarantee that even at graduation at least a quarter of those college students had never got past second base.

As it happens, my mother’s master’s thesis and first dissertation topics were around the subject of health and sex education around the world, so I was surrounded by the subject throughout my childhood. Truly, Herb, you were lied to by the advertising industry, the fiction and non-fiction publishing industry, and a great many boasting drunkards. And really, those Penthouse Letters were mostly invented out of whole cloth, thank goodness. not things everyone but you were doing. I mean ugh! If lots of people were really doing that, an entire generation of heterosexual men would be dead of AIDS and everything else, and their womenfolk along with them.

#19  New state, new city. Homeroom, first day of HS (for me, that is; I was late for the term due to bureaucratic screw-up). Kid in front of me twisted around, jumped out of his seat, and addressed me, ghetto loud and ghetto clear: "My Name, you had [anatomy]?" And there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. I wasn't scared, just petrified. If he'd done something comprehensible like attack me, I could've coped. As it was, I just sat there staring a beseeching stare meant to convey, "Dude, what the hell is wrong with you?" To my credit, I don't think I actually gaped, and it didn't occur to me to talk shit about such a monumentally serious matter, so I just sat there hoping he'd change the subject or go away. We repeated the exchange two or three more times, word for word and look for look. Eventually he lost interest, the clock started ticking again, and other hijinks ensued. But I guess the moment made an impression.

#20  Decades later, I stumbled across a story about his dad (who turned out to be a minor public figure and major rascal) losing an appeal or going to jail or something, and googled my old pal. Drug case in another state. Suggestion of previous trouble. Some prison. Now, this kid wasn't the first "minority" in the school or anything -- far from it -- and his "minority" was riding pretty high then, and moreso since. He undoubtedly was, as I assumed at the time, better connected, more socially adroit, and thicker-skinned than me, but I can't help wondering... There he was, clear across town from where he'd grown up, at least as out of his element as I was. Being a sociable person, he rolled out a perfectly ordinary conversational gambit... only to be dealt the cut direct by a big weird white boy. Shame, anger, self-destructive impulses ensue. Could that fatal moment have been the beginning of his downhill slide? Okay, no. Duh. But I wish I'd handled it better. "Hell, yes! I got more tail than a g-dd-mn pet shop! Course it's mostly from your sister and your momma. Yeah, they say they like me much better than you." And so forth. Or maybe not. Probably would've wound up in a crackhouse myself.

Why did Iraqi forces shoot protesters?
[Jpost] The elephant in the room cannot be ignored: Someone in Iraq’s government told a section of the security forces to use live-fire to kill protesters.

A variety of videos coming out of Baghdad show security forces shooting at protesters. Over 24 hours, as Friday turned to Saturday, the reports of snipers gunning down activists had grown.

The elephant in the room cannot be ignored: someone in Iraq’s government told a section of the security forces to use live fire to kill protesters. It wasn’t a mistake, it wasn’t because police were outnumbered, and it wasn’t isolated incidents.

13-year-old girls sold for so-called Shiite 'pleasure marriages' in Iraq
[Jpost] Young girls in Iraq are being sold into so-called 'pleasure marriages' that can last as little as an hour for the purposes of sex, the BBC reported.

The girls are typically offered by Shi'ite holy mans, despite the practice being banned. As many as 10 holy mans agreed to carry out such an arrangement when asked.

This custom is permitted by Sharia law, one of the holy mans said, adding that marrying such a maiden of tender years temporarily is acceptable.

According to the BBC, the girls are often exploited, with one of them not being able to remember how many times she was 'married.'

While the practice was banned under the Sunni regime of Saddam Hussein, it resurfaced back in 2003 after the invasion of Iraq, which helped increase the power and influence of Shi'ite holy mans.

The war and ensuing violence also caused many young women to drop out of school to work and support sick parents or siblings who were maimed. With some of them not being able to read and write, their options are limited and they are easily exploited by men who offer them such 'marriages.' The contract the woman gets from the holy man has an expiration date on it, yet a person who can't read would not be able to know this.

The authorities said they have very few options to work with unless the girl complains to the police. "If women don't go to the police with their complaints against holy mans, it's difficult for the authorities to act," they told the BBC.

In some cases, the holy mans who officiate the marriages become de-facto pimps, take pictures of the girls and offer them to men.

And they sometimes agree to arrange for a man a child who is only 9 years old, the report claimed.

Spanish police arrest man on suspicion of Islamic State links
[Jpost] Spanish police said on Saturday they had arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of belonging to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(IS) Death Eater group, adding that a search of his home found explosive-making chemicals and a list of targets.

Identified only as "A.A.A,"
...a memorable identifier...
the Spanish citizen was arrested in Parla, a town near Madrid, on suspicion of incitement to commit attacks and terrorist threats, police said in a statement. The case is being investigated by Spain's high court.

Islamic State grabbed credit for attacks in 2017 in Barcelona and Cambrils that killed 14 people.

Police said that during a raid on the suspect’s home they had found chemicals that could be used to make the explosive triacetone triperoxide or TATP,
...also known as Mother of Satan because of its instability and the bigness of its bang when it goes off...
an unstable explosive that has been used in several attacks in western Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
in recent years.

They said they had also found a bulletproof vest with shrapnel attached, along with detailed notes on how to prepare explosives and a list of potential targets.

Spanish newspaper El Pais cited unnamed sources saying the suspect had threatened to attack a judge at Spain’s high court.

Police said he was responsible for the Spanish wing of Muntasir Media, which promotes Islamic State and operates internationally to incite followers to commit attacks.

[IsraelTimes] Police subdue, arrest 23-year-old, apparently a Syrian refugee, who also shouted ‘Fuck Israel’ in Friday incident; German media says probe ongoing but suspect released from custody.

A man armed with a knife attempted to run into a synagogue in central Berlin Friday evening, German media reported Saturday.

The man, apparently a Syrian refugee, was tackled by security personnel at the entrance to the Neue Synagogue. According to the Bild website, he was heard calling out “Allahu Akbar” (“God is Great” in Arabic) and “Fuck Israel.”

German police said the man, identified as Murad M., was hit with pepper spray by guards and then subdued and disarmed.

Officials said he carried documentation identifying him as 23 years old, originating from Damascus and with a residency permit, which ends in December 2020.

The incident occurred at around 5:30 p.m. according to Bild, likely shortly before the start of Friday’s evening prayer service.

Police said the assailant had no prior record and was not known to authorities.
The Jerusalem Post adds:
Two guards protecting a Berlin synagogue in the district of Mitte detained a Syrian man who apparently sought to enter the building with a knife on Friday.

According to a report in the Bild newspaper, the Damascus-born man said “Allahu akhbar”’ or “God is Great” – a phrase frequently uttered before or during radical Islamist terrorist attacks.

The guards drew their firearms and police were notified. A police spokeswoman said the guards kept their weapons holstered but the man ignored them. The security guards said “Knife away and stop immediately.”

The Bild reported that the Syrian man did not drop the knife and repeated sentences in Arabic. The guards remained at distance with their firearms out until police appeared and sprayed an irritant gas in the face of the man.

The authorities arrested the man and no additional weapons were found on him or in his apartment. There were no injuries.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Boy dies after his head gets stuck in Mayo Hospital elevator
[DAWN] A teenage boy got trapped in a lift of Mayo Hospital and died of serious head injuries on Friday.

Identified as Fahad, 14, the boy was an attendant of his father, Muhammad Zahid, who was under treatment on the first floor of the 40-room Albert Victor Hospital (AVH) of the teaching institute.

The incident occurred in a lift installed in 1974 for the exclusive use of patients. The lift operator was absent when the boy got trapped and the hospital administration suspended him from service.

An official said that Fahad was going to the first floor of the building at 11:40am to see his father when he popped his head out of a window in the 45-year-old lift. His head got stuck in the space between the lift structure and the window’s grill and hit the floor of the first storey where the lift stopped.

On hearing the cries of the boy, the lift operator rushed to the spot, pulled down the elevator manually with a rope and recovered him with severe head injuries. Other staff on duty and doctors also reached there and rushed the boy to the coronary care unit from where he was shifted to the emergency unit, but he died during treatment, the official said.

He said according to the preliminary report, Fahad’s death occurred due to a neck fracture he suffered when his head got stuck. His parents fainted as soon as they found out about the sudden death of their child and the doctors provided them emergency care.

The official claimed that though the lift was 45 years old, but was safe. He said the window was created as an emergency exit to avoid suffocation in case the lift developed a fault and stopped working while moving.

Senior officials of the health department and police also reached the spot besides top admin officials of the hospital to investigate the incident. The Mayo chief executive officer said that according to initial inquiries it appeared to be an accident.

Russian Air Force carries out strategic attack to eliminate Al-Qaeda bases in Idlib
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Russian Air Force carried out strategic strikes Saturday that targeted two bases belonging to the al-Qaeda-linked Hurras al-Deen group in the Idlib Governorate of northern Syria.

According to a military report, the Russian Air Force carried out two attacks on the Hurras al-Deen bases in the towns of Tal Agher and Ballisa, which are both located in the eastern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.

The pro-opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that the Russian strikes resulted in the death of at least nine bad boys, including a half dozen hard boyz from the Hurras al-Deen group.

The Hurras al-Deen group is a powerful jihadist group that is currently active inside the Idlib Governorate; they were previously attacked by the U.S. Air Force in a rare attack.

4 homeless men found murdered in Chinatown, suspect in custody
[NYPOST] Four homeless men were found beaten to death in Chinatown early Saturday and a fifth was critically injured in a terrifying Lower Manhattan rampage, police said.

Sources identified the alleged killer to The Post as Rodriguez "Randy" Santos, who has 14 past arrests ‐ including an assault charge from May.
Is he here legally? Are the dead guys?
The homicidal spree came to light as cops responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress on Bowery Street near Doyers Street in Chinatown at about 1:50 a.m. and found two homeless men with head trauma, cops said.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene, the other victim, 49, was taken to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital at death's door, authorities said.

Police searching the area then discovered three other victims around the corner on East Broadway, all with head trauma, authorities said.

The three were pronounced dead on the scene.

Two of those victims were found in front of a store on East Broadway, and the third was discovered across the street.

That’s when cops spotted the alleged killer ‐ who was holding a three-foot-long, blood-covered metal object that appeared to be from a construction site, a source told The Post.

The tight-lipped 24-year-old was taken into custody at the scene, police said.

Courtesy of Besoeker, NBC reports the killer is also homeless.

Lebanon arrests Syrian for making phone calls to Israel
[IsraelTimes] Suspect accused of ’communicating with Israelis present in the occupied Paleostinian territories’.

Lebanese authorities have arrested a Syrian national accused of having made phone calls to neighboring Israel, the army said Friday.

An army statement said the suspect, who was not identified, was referred to court for "contacting Israeli phone numbers and communicating with Israelis present in the occupied Paleostinian territories." It did not elaborate.

Leb is home to tens of thousands of Syrian refugees who fled the war raging in their country.

In March, Lebanese intelligence said it arrested a Lebanese-Canadian dual national on suspicion of spying for Israel.

In 2017, Leb detained for questioning French-Lebanese director Ziad Doueiri for partly filming his movie "The Attack" in Israel.

The movie was banned in Leb which also bans its citizens from visiting Israel.

Leb and Israel remain technically in a state of war, with occasional skirmishes along their shared border.

Iran Armed Forces prepared to give firm response to any threats: Commander
[PRESSTV] The head of the Iranian Army’s Strategic Studies Center says the country's Armed Forces are prepared to give a firm response to enemies' threats.

"All the enemies' moves at the borders and inside and outside the region on the ground, in the air and at sea are being carefully monitored through different systems," Brigadier General Ahmadreza Pourdastan said on Saturday.

"Warnings sent by [Iran's] Armed Forces have undermined the willpower of the Americans and led to deterrence," he added.

He noted that the downing of an intruding US drone in June gave a "very strong warning" to the Americans because they sought to wage a "limited war in the region" but their unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down by a domestically-manufactured Iranian missile.

On June 20, Iran

The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Saudi-led coalition, mercenaries looted over 18 million barrels of Yemen oil last year
[PRESSTV] The Yemen

...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
s says countries of the Saudi-led coalition and their mercenaries looted more than 18 million barrels of the country’s oil exports last year.

Speaking at a presser in the Yemeni capital Sana’a on Saturday, Ahmed Daris said the coalition "looted more than 18 million barrels of oil exports last year and sent their money to the Saudi National Bank," Yemen's Arabic-language al-Masirah news website reported.

Daris also called on the United Nations
...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
to shoulder its responsibility in facilitating the release of oil shipments detained by the Saudi-led coalition waging war on the impoverished nation.

He warned the Saudi-led coalition that the continued detention of the oil tankers will further motivate Yemeni people to join anti-Saudi frontlines.

"Free oil tankers, our people will not surrender to the continued detention, but this will be an incentive to move to frontlines," he said.

Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and its allies launched military campaign on Yemen in March 2015 with the aim of reinstalling the government of former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement.

Yemen’s southern areas are controlled by Saudi-backed officials of the former Yemeni government. Saudi Arabia has taken control over the provinces' seaports and airports, using them to deploy hundreds of troops in the region.

Government
Trump signs proclamation restricting visas for uninsured
[IsraelTimes] White House continues to move away from family-based immigration system as it works to limit immigrant access to public programs.

Immigrants colonists applying for US visas will be denied entry into the country unless they can prove they can afford health care, according to a proclamation signed Friday by US President Donald Trump
...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election...
The new rule applies to people seeking immigrant visas from abroad ‐ not those in the US already. It does not affect lawful permanent residents. It does not apply to asylum seekers, refugees or children.

But it would apply to the spouses and parents of US citizens. That could have an impact on families who are trying to bring their parents to the US.

The proclamation says immigrants colonists will be barred from entering the country unless they are to be covered by health insurance within 30 days of entering or have enough financial resources to pay for any medical costs. The measure will be effective November 3.

The Trump administration is trying to move away from a family-based immigration system and into a merit-based system, and Friday’s proclamation is another effort to limit immigrant access to public programs.

The Trump administration earlier this year made sweeping changes to regulations that would deny green cards to immigrants colonists who use some forms of public assistance. The White House also directed officials to recover income-based welfare payments from sponsors, and proposed a rule requiring verification of immigration status for anyone seeking access to public housing benefits.

The required insurance can be purchased individually or provided by an employer, and it can be short-term coverage or catastrophic.

Medicaid doesn’t count. And an immigrant will not be able to obtain a visa if using the Affordable Care Act’s subsidies when buying insurance. Those subsidies are paid for by the federal government.

"While lawful immigrants colonists qualify for ACA subsidies, they’ll be stuck in a catch-22 because subsidized coverage does not qualify as insurance under the proclamation," tweeted Larry Leavitt, executive vice president for health policy at Kaiser Family Foundation, a health care policy think tank.

The White House said in a statement that too many non-citizens were taking advantage of the country’s "generous public health programs," and said immigrants colonists contribute to the problem of "uncompensated health care costs."

According to the Migration Policy Institute, a nonpartisan immigration think tank, 57 percent of US immigrants colonists had private health insurance in 2017, compared with 69% of US-born, and 30% had public health insurance coverage, compared with 36 percent of native-born.

The uninsured rate for immigrants colonists dropped from 32% to 20% from 2013 to 2017, since the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, according to Migration Policy.

There are about 1.1 million people who obtain green cards each year.

"This new attempt at an immigration ban is as shameless as it is stunning," tweeted Doug Rand, a former B.O. regime official who is the co-founder of Boundless Immigration. "It will be chaotic to implement and guaranteed to separate US citizens from their legal immigrant spouses and other close relatives."

Turkey arrests five Germans over links to Kurdish militants: Report
[PRESSTV] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
has reportedly detained five Germans over alleged links to Kurdish Death Eaters and spreading propaganda.

The pro-Kurdish Mezopotamya news agency said late Friday that the suspects, who were detained this week, were taken into custody on charges of spreading propaganda and being member of an illegal organization, which was not named but is likely the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

The agency said that the suspects were being held in the Ottoman Turkish capital, Ankara, adding that the arrests were part of an investigation by the Ankara public prosecutor.

The Prosecutor’s office has yet to confirm the report.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Hubba Hubba Club, Nunzio wondered: Where the hell was Chumbaloni? And where was his $600?...
the German Foreign Ministry said it was "aware of the cases" and that the embassy in Ankara was providing consular assistance.
Deutsche Welle adds:
Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu in March this year threatened to detain individuals who came to Turkey if they were involved with the PKK and other groups.
"We have now taken measures against those who take part in the terror organization's meetings in Europe, Germany and then come to Antalya, Bodrum, Mugla for a holiday," Soylu said. "Let them enter the airports. They will be detained."

Antifa protester who attacked Trump supporter pleads guilty to assault
[NYPOST] An "Antifa

" street thug can now look forward to continuing his fight ‐ from jail.
David Campbell, 32, copped a plea for his role in a 2018 beatdown outside the Night for Freedom party in Manhattan organized by right-wing activist Mike Cernovich.

Campbell pleaded guilty to two counts of felony assault and will be sentenced on Oct. 23 to 18 months in the slammer, reps for Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. told The Post.

Campbell was arrested near the venue, a nightclub at West 50th Street and 12th Avenue on Jan. 20 2018, after he punched and choked a 56-year-old man he had followed out of the event, police said. He was one of about 80 Antifa agitators protesting the gathering.

"When the Proud Boys [a far right fraternal organization] got into a street fight with Antifa members, it was a nationwide story. The Mayor and AG tweeted about the street fight. When Antifa attacked a 56-year-old man, silence from the press," Cernovich told The Post.

"Now that the criminal case is closed, I will also be taking legal action against Mr. Campbell and his confederates. It is time to find out who is funding Antifa," he said.

Ansarullah movement say the United States is hindering peace efforts in Yemen, describing Washington as an accomplice in the Saudi-led military aggression against his country.

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, the chairman of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee of Yemen, made the remarks in an interview with the Ottoman Turkish daily Gazeteduvar on Saturday.

He said that aggression against Yemen will not end until the US, Israel, Britannia, and La Belle France ends their support for the aggressors.

Al-Houthi added that Yemeni forces are fighting in line with right to self defense, while stressing that the Houthi supreme political council welcomed any dialogue aimed at achieving peace.

He described as a "war crime" the Saudi-led blockade of his country which "has created the worst humanitarian crisis ever.”

Terrorist outfits preventing civilians from leaving Syria’s Idlib
[PRESSTV] Foreign-backed forces of Evil positioned in northwestern Syria have for the fourth consecutive week prevented civilians from leaving via the Abu al-Duhur corridor in the province of Idlib, the country’s official news agency says.

The official SANA news agency reported reported on Saturday that the corridor, which was secured by the Syrian army for the safe passage of civilians, had been blocked by terrorist groups over the past 23 days.

The terrorist groups were conducting a round-the-clock patrol to detain fleeing civilians and use them in the northwestern province as human shields, it added.

Syrian government forces, however, continue to take all measures to receive civilians aiming to leave the terrorist-held areas in Idlib via the corridor, it noted.

Kurdish-led SDF deploys massive force to northern Raqqa in preparation for Turkish offensive
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have allegedly deployed a massive force in northern al-Raqqa this weekend after reports about a new Ottoman Turkish military operation east of the Euphrates.

According to the reports, which have not been confirmed by al-Masdar, the Syrian Democratic Forces deployed a large number of fighters to the northern al-Raqqa town of Tal Abyad, which is located along the Ottoman Turkish border.

Russia 'invites' Iran envoy to ministry over journalist arrest
[PRESSTV] Russia’s Foreign Ministry says it has "invited" Iran's ambassador to Moscow to clarify the circumstances surrounding the arrest of a Russian journalist in the Iranian capital Tehran on suspicion of espionage.

Mehdi Sanaei was "invited to the foreign ministry to quickly clarify the circumstances" and ensure the rights of journalist Yulia Yuzik are observed, ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday.

The Iranian ambassador told Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov that Yuzik were tossed into the calaboose to be questioned but "would soon be released," according to a statement by the ministry later Friday.

Yuzik, 38, who worked for several prominent Russian publications, was arrested in her hotel room on Wednesday.

"She has been detained on suspicion of having ties to Israeli intelligence services," said a front man for the Russian embassy in Tehran, citing her mother.

"The representative of Russia's consulate is now at the Iranian foreign ministry trying to resolve this issue," said journalist Boris Voitsekhovskiy, identified by Russian media as Yuzik's ex-husband.

Moscow and Tehran enjoy strong bilateral ties and have been working in a strategic partnership format on their issues of mutual interest.

Resistance only way to restore Palestinians’ rights: Islamic Jihad leader
[PRESSTV] The secretary general of Paleostine’s Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
Movement says resistance forces will continue their fight against Israel’s occupation of their land until full restoration of their rights.

Ziyad al-Nakhaleh made the remarks during a speech in the occupied Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. Strip on Saturday, addressing tens of thousands of Paleostinians participating in a massive rally held in commemoration of the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of the movement.

The march, held in Gaza City, was attended by Islamic Jihad leaders, and hundreds of fighters from the al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad.

"Gaza, which has always been oppressed, is now a cornerstone and front to be reckoned with in the equations of war," said Nakhaleh, adding that the blockaded enclave represents "the vigor of its men and its resistance, and the steadfastness of its people."

He further hailed the Islamic Jihad’s capability to deter any threat posed by enemies, stressing that today Gaza "is besieging the occupation despite its poverty, it is imposing new facts, breaking old theories, and will remain steadfast."

The Grand Turk
US warns Turkey over offshore drilling near Cyprus
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] There are rules in exploring energy resources in the Mediterranean Sea, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Saturday, warning The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...Qatar's satrapy in Asia Minor...
not to engage in drilling activity that is "illegal" and "unacceptable."

"We’ve made clear that operations in international waters are governed by a set of rules. We’ve told the Turks that illegal drilling is unacceptable and we’ll continue to take diplomatic actions to ... ensure that lawful activity takes place," he said during a visit to Greece.

"No country can hold Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
hostage," Pompeo told a press briefing.

Tensions between Cyprus and Turkey over offshore drilling have intensified after Ankara sent a drilling ship to an area already licensed by Nicosia to Italian and French energy companies.

Earlier on Saturday, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis urged the United States to use its clout to defuse tensions in the Eastern Mediterranean, where Cyprus and Turkey are locked in a dispute over offshore rights.

Mitsotakis told Pompeo that Ottoman Turkish moves south of the island in recent days were a "flagrant violation" of Cyprus’ sovereign rights.

Turkey and Greece are allies in NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions...
but long at loggerheads over Cyprus, which has been ethnically split between Greek and Ottoman Turkish Cypriots since 1974.

"The United States have a particular interest in the Eastern Mediterranean region. Cyprus is only asking for the self-evident, the implementation of international law," Mitsotakis told Pompeo, who is visiting Greece on the last leg of a trip to southern Europe.

Over 500 Children Died During Illegal Migration in Past Year: MoJ
[ToloNews] The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has said that over 362,000 Afghan refugees so far this year have been repatriated from Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. and Pakistain.

The Afghan Ministry of Justice (MoJ) on Thursday said that at least 534 children--40 girls among them-- bit the dust while illegally migrating or being smuggled across borders over the past year.

Officials from the MOJ’s committee dealing with human trafficking and migrant smuggling, in a new report have stated that last year nearly 900 Afghan citizens bit the dust while attempting to reach Iran and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
"In our opinion there are certain factors such as war, poverty, unemployment, lack of awareness among the people about the damages of the illegal migration and human smuggling that need to be tackled as threats," said minister of justice Abdul Baseer Anwar.

Moreover, many Afghans who spent significant sums of money and faced serious danger to reach new countries illegally, are being sent back in large numbers.

Officials from th International Organization for Migration (IOM) have said that over 362,000 Afghan refugees so far this year have been repatriated from Iran and Pakistain.

According to IOM, over 14,000 Afghans from Turkey and another 1,400 from Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
an countries have been either forced to leave or were voluntarily repatriated to Afghanistan during the current year.

"Compared to 2018, the repatriation of Afghans from Iran and Pakistain have decreased, in 2018, over a million Afghans returned to their country. But the repatriation of Afghans from Turkey and European countries has increased," said Mohammad Hadees Pardees, deputy front man for the IOM in Kabul.

But the Afghan Ministry of Interior (MoI) has said that the government is doing all it can to combat the trend.

"The Ministry of Interior has taken solid steps to prevent human trafficking--we have nabbed hundreds of individuals and those involved in human smuggling," said Nusrat Rahmi, a front man for the Ministry of Interior.

Afghans are at the top of the list for most illegal migrants colonists.

Analysts say that war, violence and poverty are among key factors behind the trend.

Iraq
NRT Arabic on attack: Several of the employees of the channel were severely beaten, total dead more than 105
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]
The Jerusalem Post adds:
At least 19 people were reported killed on Saturday as the Iraqi government continued a brutal crackdown on protests. The offices and journalists from several prominent networks, including al-Arabiya, were attacked by masked button men on Saturday in what seems like a coordinated attempt to shut down all dissenting channels. Internet and social media were also suppressed, a practice that began on October 2 in response to massive protests in Baghdad and southern Iraq.

Several stations were attacked on Saturday night, including NRT, al-Arabiya and Dijlah TV. The attacks appeared coordinated because they happened around the same time. al-Arabiya was the first to be attacked. It tweeted at 10:04pm that it’s offices had been targeted by "masked button men." Their journalists said they had received threats over the last days and that on the night of October 5 black-clad button men appeared. The journalists were attacked, equipment destroyed and their mobile phones damaged. They said they called for assistance from Federal Police who did not intervene to help.

NRT has reported that protesters burned the Badr party headquarters in Nasiriyah at 8pm. Two hours later NRT’s offices were attacked in Baghdad and burned, according to their own report. It was 10:07pm. According to reported Dijlah TV’s offices were burned. That was reported around 9:57pm.

Al-Hadath reported at 10:24pm that masked men attacked their offices in Baghdad, Iraq. Three cars with gunnies apparently stormed their office, according to a tweet from the station. At least one of their journalists was injured after being beaten.

There is anger across Iraq and abroad over the attacks on the channels. It was not clear if the closure of the channels had been ordered. One tweet from just after 9pm claimed the Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi had ordered Dijlah closed. The destruction of equipment and beatings of journalists appear to show that the attacks were more than just a government order, but conducted by a paramilitary organization. The government of Iraq had already moved last month to suspend al-Hurra after it conducted an investigation into corruption of religious endowments. Reports indicated that Fallouja TV, Alghad Alaraby, SkyNews Arabia and AL-Sharqiya were also targeted. It was not clear from SkyNews Arabia or Sharqiya when their officers were targeted.

The corpse count is now more than 105 people in Iraq and the coordinated attacks on media appear to be a foreboding sign for the future of the crisis. Even though major leaders such as Moqtada al Sadr and Haider al-Abadi have called for early elections, the government appears to be digging in. There are other forces at work as well. The stations attacked are linked to countries, groups or voices that are more critical of Iran. That means the attacks could have been carried out by pro-Iranian militias.

Around 20 dead in gold mine attack in northern Burkina Faso: security sources
[PULSE.NG] Around 20 people were killed in an attack on a gold mining site in northern Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...
, security sources said Saturday, the latest in a spate of violence generally blamed on a jihadist insurgency. The attack on Friday took place in Soum province not far from where alleged jihadists blew up a bridge linking two northern towns in mid-September

"Armed individuals attacked the gold mining site at Dolmane... leaving around 20 dead, mainly gold miners," one security source said.

Another security source confirmed the attack, adding that a number of people had been injured, without giving further details.

The West African nation has become part of a four-and-a-half year jihadist insurgency in the Sahel region
... North Africa's answer to the Pak tribal areas...
Many of the attacks have been attributed to groups affiliated with al-Qaeda, and others to the so-called Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
groupMore than 585 people have been killed since early 2015, according to an AFP toll.

A week ago, 17 people, including a soldier, were killed in a weekend of attacks in the north.

On September 29, about 20 men on cycle of violences attacked the village of Komsilga in Bam province, killing nine people, and burning shops and two car tyres.

Later the same day, seven people were killed after armed individuals attacked the village of Deneon in the same province.

A third attack in Deou in Soum province saw a soldier killed during an attack on an army unit.

The Burkinabe army, which itself has suffered heavy losses, has been unable to stop the attacks, which were initially concentrated in the north of the country but have since spread to other regions in the east and west.

THOUSANDS FORCED TO FLEE
Attacks on emblems of the state, hit-and-run raids on remote villages and brutal interpretation of Islamic law have forced an estimated 300,000 people to flee their homes to the south.

The attacks have also fuelled intercommunal violence and seen about 2,000 schools closed.

West African leaders last month announced a billion-dollar plan to fight the rising problem of jihadist violence in the region, at a summit in Burkina Faso.

The fight against the rising tide of jihadist violence in the region has so far been hampered by a lack of funds.

Multan police apprehend social media star Qandeel's absconding brother with help from Interpol
[DAWN] Multan
...Home of the Multan Sultans...
police on Saturday apprehended Mohammad Arif, an absconding brother of slain social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch, with the help of Interpol, police officials said.

SHO Mahar Bashir Hiraj told DawnNewsTV that Arif has been handed over to Muzaffarabad cop shoppe in Multan.

Arif had been declared an absconder in the murder case of Baloch, who had been strangled to death on July 15, 2016.

A day after the murder, another brother of Baloch, Mohammad Waseem, had admitted before the police that he had killed Qandeel because she "brought dishonour to the Baloch name" with her risque videos and statements posted on social media.

He had also said that his sister had a "bad character" being a social media model and that he had "no guilt over killing her".

Furthermore, Waseem had told the court his brother Mohammad Arif, who was in Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
at the time, had asked him to kill Qandeel as he (Arif) felt ashamed due to her conduct. Arif had directed Waseem to flee to Saudi Arabia after killing Baloch.

A trial court, on September 27, had sentenced Waseem to life in prison, but acquitted five others, including a third brother, Aslam Shaheen, named in the case lodged by Baloch's parents.

Waseem will serve out his sentence in Multan's Central Jail. Arif has yet to be charged by a court for his alleged involvement in the case.

Standstill in Kashmir enters third month
[PRESSTV] It has been two months since New Delhi has scrapped the special status from its part of Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
and put the Moslem-majority region under direct control of federal rule.

Reluctant to accept what Kashmiri people call India’s unilateral decision, Kashmir has come to a complete halt since August. People have shunned businesses, shops and educational institutions in protest to India’s move; while India has imposed toughest-ever security clampdown, arrested thousands and scuttled communications to thwart any possible protests against the decision.

Despite facing global criticism over Kashmir situation, in the past two months India has failed to reach out to the people of the region. Analysts say India’s move has further disillusioned Kashmiri people, especially the youth.

Despite India’s efforts to restore normality in Kashmir, the region remains tense as people are reluctant to accept India’s move to put the region under its New Delhi’s direct control.

In the absence of international assistance, many fear Kashmir might once again become a hotbed of resistance movements, paving the way for an altercation between nuclear-armed India and Pakistain. Experts say more international efforts are needed to make peace a reality and avert more turbulent times for the region.

At the same time, Iran’s state TV reported that an Iranian scientist, Reza Dehbashi,
...more completely Reza Dehbashi Kivi ...
who was detained for 13 months in Australia over purchasing a defense system for his country from the United States, had returned home.

"We are extremely happy and relieved to be safely back in Australia with those we love," the Australian couple said in a statement. "While the past few months have been very difficult, we know it has also been tough for those back home who have been worried for us."

They thanked the Australian government for helping secure their release.

There was no immediate acknowledgment Saturday by Iranian officials or in the country’s state media of the couple’s release. However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
that has happened in previous cases.

Iranian TV said that the Australian judiciary had planned to send Dehbashi to the US but that he was released through Tehran’s diplomatic efforts.

The couple spent almost three months in Tehran’s notorious Evin prison after they were arrested for flying a drone near a military zone without a license.

Before their arrest, they had been globe-trotting for two years and documenting their travels on Instagram and YouTube.

They requested privacy as they seek to "get back to [their] normal lives."

"We know there are others who remain in detention in Iran, including a fellow Australian, and believe intense media coverage may not be helpful for efforts to bring them home," they said.

Foreign Minister Marise Payne said the government continued to seek the return of a third Australian, Melbourne University lecturer Kylie Moore-Gilbert,
...Cambridge-educated lecturer in aislamic Studies...
who has been in detention since October 2018.

Payne described her situation as "very complex."

"She has been detained for some considerable time, and has faced the Iranian legal system and has been convicted and sentenced," Payne said, adding the government did not accept the spying charges against her.

JUI-F chief won’t be able to exploit ‘religious card’: PM
[DAWN] Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman would not be able to exploit "religious card" against the government at the behest of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N).

Talking to a select group of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leaders who are frequently seen in TV talk shows, the prime minister expressed no fear of the JUI-F’s call for Islamabad lockdown on Oct 27.

“The prime minister was of the view that PPP and PML-N are pretending that they are not taking part in the lockdown programme, but in fact both parties are backing him [Maulana Fazl] and providing him money to meet their own designs,” a close aide to PM Khan told Dawn after the meeting.

According to him, the prime minister lamented that Maulana Fazl was using innocent children of Madressahs (seminaries) against the government, but he [JUI-F chief] should realise that after the victory of the government’s stance on the Kashmir issue in the recently held United Nations General Assembly session, he would not be able to exploit the “religious card”.

The PM’s aide quoted Mr Khan as saying: “The government believes that students of seminaries are our own children, but they are being misguided by people like Fazlur Rehman.”

According to him, the prime minister said the PPP and PML-N were not directly joining the lockdown move because if it failed they would not be blamed, but the JUI-F. He said the meeting agreed that Maulana Fazl had received a heavy amount of money from both PPP and PML-N to fulfil their agendas against the government.

Talking about news of a possible deal between the government and the opposition, the prime minister reiterated that no concession would be given to those who had plundered national wealth. “Khan Sahib will never go for any deal with former rulers,” the PM’s aide said.

The prime minister apprised the meeting of his forthcoming visit to China on Oct 7-8, which will mainly focus on the revival of stalled projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Turkey will carry out military operation east of Euphrates: Erdogan
[ALMASDARNEWS] Ottoman Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that his country would carry out a military air and ground operation east of the Euphrates river in Syria.

"We’ve made our preparations, we’ve made our operation plans, given the necessary instructions", the politician said, adding that The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
would launch the ops "as soon as today or tomorrow".

The news comes as Washington and Ankara are working together to establish a so-called safe zone in Syrian territories they control; however, Turkey repeatedly complained that the American side is stalling the process.

Erdogan announced the operation against the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in January but postponed it after a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump
...the Nailer of NAFTA...
According to Turkey, the Kurdish Lions of Islam in Syria are part of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which has fought to create Kurdish autonomy since the 1980s. In 2013, the PKK and Ottoman Turkish authorities agreed on a ceasefire, but it collapsed two years later when Ankara blamed several attacks on the group.

16 people killed in attacks by Boko Haram, rival faction in Nigeria’s Borno
[PRESSTV] At least 16 people, including 11 government troopers, have been killed during attacks launched by Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
hard boyz in Nigeria’s northeastern state of Borno.

The deadly attacks were conducted by Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
and its splinter faction on military and civilian targets between Thursday and Saturday, said military and militia sources on Saturday.

The faction, which calls itself the West Africa Province (ISWAP) branch of the ISIS
...embracing their inner Islamic Brute...
Takfiri terrorist group, made an alliance with Boko Haram in 2015 before separating in 2016.

ISWAP has launched repeated attacks in the African country in recent months after ISIS lost all its urban strongholds in Iraq and Syria following crushing defeats it received from government troops and their allied fighters in both Arab countries.

An unnamed military source told AFP that ISWAP hard boyz ambushed a military convoy near Mauro village in Benisheikh district in the volatile state on Thursday.

"Our men on patrol fell into a terrorist ambush... which claimed 11 soldiers and maimed 16 others. Two other soldiers are still missing," said the military officer, adding that the troops were traveling in three vehicles.

He further said hard boyz made away with 11 AK-47 rifles and anti-aircraft gun mounted on their gun truck.

Foreign jihadists send reinforcements to Syrian Army fronts as offensive nears
[ALMASDARNEWS] A foreign jihadist group has sent a large number of reinforcements to several fronts where the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is expected to launch an offensive, the Arabic-language version of the Sputnik News Agency reported, citing a field correspondent in northern Syria.

According to the Sputnik correspondent, reinforcements from the Turkestan Islamic Party were pouring into northeastern Latakia and al-Ghaab Plain region amid reports of upcoming Syrian Arab Army (SAA) offensive at these fronts.

The reinforcements reportedly arrived at these fronts with a large supply of missiles, artillery shells, 200+ drones and other weapons.

The Sputnik correspondent said that the jihadist forces in al-Ghaab and northeastern Latakia are estimated to be 13,000-men-strong.

In addition to the reinforcements, the leaders of the Turkestan Islamic Party and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
allegedly met in the Jisr al-Shughour countryside to discuss their defensive plan in northeastern Latakia and the al-Ghaab Plain region of southern Idlib.

In the coming weeks, the Syrian Arab Army offensive is expected to begin at these fronts as they look to secure the Latakia Governorate’s eastern axis.

Grenade attack in Kashmir injures 10 amid India clampdown
[PRESSTV] A grenade attack in Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain.
's southern city of Anantnag has injured 10 people, including a traffic policeman and a journalist, police says to ANI and on Twitter, blaming "terrorists."

Many people in Kashmir have been seething since India stripped its portion of the Moslem-majority region of autonomy on August 5, shutting off phone networks and imposing curfew-like restrictions in some areas to dampen discontent.

Some of those curbs have been slowly relaxed, but mobile and internet communications in the Kashmir valley are largely still blocked.

The blast took place near a government office, a police official told Rooters on condition of anonymity, because he was not authorized to speak to media.

If confirmed, that would appear to mark the first attack near a government office since India's crackdown on the region. India's home ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Kashmir is divided between India and Pakistain, who both claim the territory in full. More than 40,000 people have been killed in an insurgency in the Indian part of Kashmir since 1989.

Rudy Giuliani: ‘My mission is to disrupt the world’ by exposing Dems’ ‘massive corruption’
[BIZPACREVIEW] When asked by Fox News host Martha MacCallum: "Why are you the President’s personal attorney? What’s your mission?"

Rudy Giuliani replied: "To disrupt the world. My mission is to defend my client in the best traditions of the legal profession...The Democrats are covering up corruption. Massive corruption."

Giuliani continued: "It’s in the best interest of my client to unravel the corruption in the Ukraine, which involves mostly collusion in the [2016] election, into which Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...Failed seeker of the Democratic presidential nomination on multiple occasions, vice president under Barack Obama, giving it a last try in his dotage for 2020...
inserted himself."

Giuliani said the Democratic Party has been colluding with both Ukraine and China for decades in corrupt, pay-for-play politics which the left-wing media has glossed over because they don’t want to expose "their side."

"China is a bigger sellout than Ukraine. And the Democratic Party is scared out of their minds because this pay-for-play scandal does not just involve Biden," Giuliani said. "The big questions that need to be asked is, ’How could you have your son taking money from a corrupt [Ukrainian] oligarch?'"

MacCallum said: "We heard from Kurt Volker yesterday. He’s been around a long time, he’s spent a lot of time in Ukraine, he said that Joe Biden never did anything wrong." Volker is the former U.S. emissary to Ukraine.

Giuliani said that Volker "wouldn’t know" if Biden did anything wrong, given his low-level position.

Rudy Giuliani vowed to investigate Biden and other Democrats’ longtime corruption and election-meddling with foreign governments because it’s time to drain the swamp.

"I’m not going to say I’m going to fix it," Giuliani said. "Maybe Donald Trump
...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election...
is going to fix it because he’s a disruptive president who knows how to break up the swamp...[Democrats] haven’t done a damn thing about corruption in Ukraine except contribute to it."

All US administrations ignore hard science if it hurts corporate interests: Analyst
[PRESSTV] US President Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
's views on science are ridiculous, but all administrations ignore hard science if it hurts the corporate bottom line, according to Myles Hoenig, an American political analyst and activist.

Hoenig, a former Green Party candidate for Congress, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Saturday after an American think-tank warned the treatment of science by the Trump administration has hit a "crisis point," where research findings are manipulated for political gain.

Special interests are given improper influence over federal scientific agencies and scientists are targeted for ideological reasons, according to a report released on Thursday by the National Task Force on Rule of Law and Democracy.

Every US president over the past two decades has, to some degree, undermined research and injected politics into science, according to the task force, formed under the Brennan Center for Justice at the NYU School of Law.
William Brennan had a liberal agenda that he used the "interpreted law" to pursue. *spit*
However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
the mistreatment of science under recent administrations has reached a dangerous level under Trump. The study calls for stringent new standards to enshrine scientific independence.
