Mistrial Is Declared in Senator Menendez's Corruption Trial
h/t Instapundit
The judge in the corruption trial of Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey declared a mistrial on Thursday after jurors said they were unable to reach a verdict, bringing an inconclusive end to the first federal bribery trial of a sitting United States senator in decades.

"We cannot reach a unanimous decision on any of the charges," the jurors said in a note to Judge William H. Walls.

"We have each tried to look at this case from different viewpoints but still feel strongly in our positions, nor are we willing to move away from our strong convictions," the note said.

After interviewing the jurors individually in his chambers, Judge Walls emerged to tell the court that the jurors were hopelessly deadlocked and that as a result "there is no alternative but to declare a mistrial."

If Christie did appoint a Senator to replace Menendez, wouldn't that set the Donk's hair on fire. They would scream bloody murder. Well, it is a cultural and political war.

Case closed: Breaking the Silence spokesman lied
[IsraelNationalNews] The Deputy State Prosecutor decided in coordination with the State Attorney to close the investigation against Breaking the Silence spokesman Dean Issacharof.

The investigation was opened after Issacharoff said in a video that he had beaten an Arab during his military service in Hevron. The comments had been made to highlight alleged human rights abused by the IDF Breaking the Silence claims take place in Judea and Samaria.

However, the investigation revealed that the events described by Issacharoff "did not happen at all."
There is a simple rule to determine whether a leftist lies - are the lips moving?

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Senator Al Franken Kissed and Groped Me Without My Consent, And There's Nothing Funny About It

By Leeann Tweeden

In December of 2006, I embarked on my ninth USO Tour to entertain our troops, my eighth to the Middle East since the 9/11 attacks. My father served in Vietnam and my then-boyfriend (and now husband, Chris) is a pilot in the Air Force, so bringing a ‘little piece of home' to servicemembers stationed far away from their families was both my passion and my privilege.

Also on the trip were country music artists Darryl Worley, Mark Wills, Keni Thomas, and some cheerleaders from the Dallas Cowboys. The headliner was comedian and now-senator, Al Franken.

Franken had written some skits for the show and brought props and costumes to go along with them. Like many USO shows before and since, the skits were full of sexual innuendo geared toward a young, male audience.

As a TV host and sports broadcaster, as well as a model familiar to the audience from the covers of FHM, Maxim and Playboy, I was only expecting to emcee and introduce the acts, but Franken said he had written a part for me that he thought would be funny, and I agreed to play along.

When I saw the script, Franken had written a moment when his character comes at me for a ‘kiss'. I suspected what he was after, but I figured I could turn my head at the last minute, or put my hand over his mouth, to get more laughs from the crowd.

On the day of the show Franken and I were alone backstage going over our lines one last time. He said to me, "We need to rehearse the kiss." I laughed and ignored him. Then he said it again. I said something like, ‘Relax Al, this isn't SNL…we don't need to rehearse the kiss.'

He continued to insist, and I was beginning to get uncomfortable.

He repeated that actors really need to rehearse everything and that we must practice the kiss. I said ‘OK' so he would stop badgering me. We did the line leading up to the kiss and then he came at me, put his hand on the back of my head, mashed his lips against mine and aggressively stuck his tongue in my mouth.

I immediately pushed him away with both of my hands against his chest and told him if he ever did that to me again I wouldn't be so nice about it the next time.

I walked away. All I could think about was getting to a bathroom as fast as possible to rinse the taste of him out of my mouth.

I felt disgusted and violated.

Not long after, I performed the skit as written, carefully turning my head so he couldn't kiss me on the lips.

Former radio host Melanie Morgan says the senator wouldn’t stop calling her.

Former radio talk show host Melanie Morgan claims the democratic politician wouldn’t take no for an answer, and continually pursued and bothered her after the two met in 2000, on the set of Bill Maher’s old show Politically Incorrect.

“I made a statement about the budget numbers, Franken challenged me, I challenged him back,” she recalled. “It was about spending priorities, actually just a mundane discussion. But he obsessed over it.”

#14  The Subway Groper

November 16, 2017 Blind Gossip Leave a Comment
EXCLUSIVE!

[Blind Gossip] Do you think that this former TV funnyman only groped one woman?

Ha ha ha!

No.

If he has the gall to claim that this was an isolated experience – and that he really respects women – he’s going to have to prepare himself for the fact that there may be multiple women coming forward to detail their disgusting experiences with this perv.

He used to ride the subway in New York City for a couple of decades. If you were an attractive woman, he would sit next to you, introduce himself by his TV gig, and try to pick you up. If you tried to ignore him or were dismissive of him… he would grope you.

Perhaps he thought that being on TV and being famous gave him license to grab women’s private parts and get away with it.

However, if you asked any of these women to vote whether or not grabbing their private parts was funny, we doubt a single one of them would vote “Yes.”

Africa Subsaharan
How this power-mad first lady possibly sparked a military coup
Meet the woman whose insatiable appetite for power set in motion Zimbabwe's ongoing military coup: first lady Grace Mugabe.

The 52-year-old shopaholic, who has earned the nickname "Gucci Grace" thanks to her taste for designer clothes, allegedly convinced her hubby ‐ dictator "President" Robert Mugabe ‐ to sack his heir apparent, ushering in a military backlash that left the 93-year-old despot under house arrest while she hightailed it out of the African country to Namibia parts unknown.

"I say to Mr. Mugabe, you should . . . leave me to take over your post," the silver-tongued Grace said in a church meeting, according to the Globe and Mail. "Have no fear. If you want to give me the job, give it to me freely."

Then she gave him the not-so-subtle instruction to ax his vice president and right-hand man of 40 years, Emmerson "Crocodile" Mnangagwa ‐ so named because the beast is his clan's totem and because his erstwhile political resilience has been likened to the leathery reptile's skin.

"The snake must be hit on the head," Grace hissed, referring to Mnangagwa.

Within a few days, Robert delivered a proverbial crocodile-skin handbag to spendthrift Grace by ousting longtime ally Mnangagwa. The plot cleared the runway for his fashionista wife's ascent to leader ‐ until the military intervened Tuesday.

Grace's tale is equal parts Imelda Marcos and Lady MacBeth, a profligate first lady who has incurred a struggling nation's ire while manipulating her powerful husband.

The South African native's rise began in the early 1990s, when she was a single mother and secretary in Robert's typing pool.

When on Earth Are We Going to Learn?!
When, folks?!

When are we going to learn?!

That is the question that I ask myself as Republicans and conservatives lash out against Judge Roy Moore, with accusations and venom that I have never seen wielded against the Obamas, the Reids, and the Pelosis.

For (at least) the past decade, the Democratic playbook has been to win elections by bringing up personal sins to destroy their opponents with, whether real, perhaps exaggerated (Obama adversary Jack Ryan), or imaginary ‐ i.e., fake (Herman Cain, Mitt Romney, etc etc etc...)

I'm sorry, I have no earthly idea where Roy Moore fits in and, more to the point, I don't know how on earth Moore's foes (Democrat or ‐ especially ‐ Republican) know that he is indisputably guilty, and that of being nothing less, it seems, than one of the most disgusting and despicable people alive.

All I can say is that I remember similar accusations against Herman Cain in 2012, by one Sharon Bialek, who by an amazing coincidence, happened to live in the exact same apartment building of one of America's largest cities as one of Obama's closest associates (David Axelrod)...

Meanwhile, the Democrats' own transgressions are passed over (where possible, Bob Menendez, Bill Clinton, and members of the Kennedy clan have been mostly ignored). In the leftists' case, they are, at best, romanticized (Jack, Robert, and Ted Kennedy), and at worst, dismissed with a shrug and the words, "it's only sex".

If Republicans like Mitch McConnell cannot restrain themselves from making comments about Roy Moore not being fit to serve in the Senate and deserving to be expelled, couldn't they at least have paused to wonder why the sex scandal, by an amazing coincidence, happened to erupt after the Alabama judge was chosen to run for the state's Senate seat and not during any of Moore's past 20 years of often controversial public service? And while he was at it, couldn't the Senate majority leader at least have mentioned Bob Menendez in the same breath?!

Here’s the clincher:

Are you willing to believe the double standards of democrat drama queens and allow a party to return to power which wants to raise ever more taxes, relax border controls to allow illegal immigrants to pour across the Rio Grande, bringing everybody's salaries down in the process, order judges to inject politics in the public restroom area, and fine citizens $135,000 for refusing to bake a cake?
Virtue signalling is a way of life - and, if you don't join the mob, you can be mobbed yourself.

Britain
Britain preparing to transfer 400 million pounds to Iran
Britain is preparing to transfer over 400 million pounds ($527 million) to Iran as it seeks the release of a jailed Iranian-British aid worker, The Telegraph newspaper reported, citing unidentified British sources.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a project manager with the Thomson Reuters Foundation, was sentenced to five years after being convicted by an Iranian court of plotting to overthrow the clerical establishment. She denies the charges.

Britain has sought legal advice over whether it could transfer the funds which it owes as a result of a disputed arms deal in the 1970s. Diplomats told the newspaper that any payment should not be linked to the fate of Zaghari-Ratcliffe.

The Thomson Reuters Foundation is a charity organization that is independent of Thomson Reuters. It operates independently of Reuters News.

A spokesman for Britain's Foreign Office could not be reached for comment out of normal business hours.

Terror Networks
Terror attacks targeted more countries in 2016, but fewer killed
[IsraelTimes] Study records 25,673 terrorism-related deaths in 77 countries; notes significant decreases in Syria, Pakistain, Afghanistan. La Belle France found more affected by terror than Israel.

The number of people killed in terror attacks declined for the second successive year in 2016 but more countries were affected, according to the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) released Wednesday.

Its report, produced by Australia’s Institute for Economics & Peace, found there were 25,673 deaths last year due to terror attacks ‐ down 22 percent from a 2014 peak.
A PDF of the report can be found here.
It noted significant decreases in Syria, Pakistain and Afghanistan.

However,
man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them...
77 countries experienced at least one fatal attack, more than at any time in the 17-year history of the Global Terrorism Database, on which it is based.

The report also ranked nations in terms of their exposure to terror. Iraq experienced the most terrorism in 2017, followed by Afghanistan and Nigeria.

The Institute for Economics & Peace found that La Belle France, ranked 23, was affected more by terror than Israel and the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gazoo Strip ‐ identified collectively by the study as "Paleostine" ‐ which were ranked 36 and 30, respectively.

The data set, collated by America’s University of Maryland, is considered the most comprehensive of its kind globally.

The GTI called the falling victim numbers the "main positive finding" and "a turning point in the fight against radical Islamist extremism."

It reported the biggest improvement in Nigeria, where terrorism deaths attributed to Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
fell by 80% last year.

But deaths attributed to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group increased by nearly half in 2016, with the majority of the rise ‐ 40% ‐ in Iraq.

The GTI found "disturbing" trends in the worldwide spread of terrorism.

A dozen more countries were the victim of a deadly strike last year than in 2015.

The report’s authors also warned of the potential for Islamic State fighters from Iraq and Syria to join new radical offshoots in other countries.

In Afghanistan, they described the picture as "complex" in 2016, as the Taliban
...Arabic for students...

It blamed Islamic State activity for the continued spike there, with 75% of terror-related deaths in these countries directed or inspired by the organization since 2014.

they also found that Islamic State’s "diminishing capacity" had led to a sharp drop in the number of deaths in the first half of 2017.

Death on the road to colonize Europe: Gunmen kill 19 in southwestern Pakistan
[IsraelTimes] Gunmen have shot and killed 15 men who were planning to cross into Iran on their way to Europe
...also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
as well as a police official and three of his family members in separate attacks in southwestern Pakistain, officials say.

Darmoon Bawani, an administrator in Turbat district, which borders Iran, says the 15 men were killed in a mountain village. He says they ranged in age from 18 to 30 years old, and all hailed from the populous Punjab

3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

province. Travel documents show they were planning to go to Europe, likely to seek work as migrant laborers. Their bodies were found today.

No one is claiming responsibility for the killings. Baluch separatists in the region have attacked workers from Punjab in the past. Islamic Death Eaters also operate in the region.

In the other attack, button men riding on cycle of violences opened fire on a car carrying a deputy superintendent of police and his wife, son and daughter, killing them on the spot.

Government front man Anwarul Haq says the attack took place in the quiet provincial capital, Quetta. It came a week after a jacket wallah killed Quetta’s police chief and three other officers. The Pak Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
claimed that attack.

The bereaved families of the victims told the media that their loved ones had left their homes a few days ago to reach Europe

with the help of a human trafficking network being run at Phalia tehsil of Mandi Bahauddin.

One of the victims, Saifullah, 39, belonged to Dhab village situated in Tanda area of the district. He had left two children and a wife to mourn, besides five brothers and three sisters.

The three others ‐ Azhar Farooq, Zulfiqar Ali and Khuram Shahzad ‐ were respectively from Malakwal, Parhana Lok and Charranwala areas of Mandi Bahauddin district.

Their families said they too wanted to travel to Europe for jobs through the network of a Phalia-based human trafficker, Muhamma Khan Pathan.

Pope Auctions Lamborghini to Rebuild Christian Iraq
[AnNahar] Pope Francis got the keys to a fancy new Lamborghini on Wednesday ‐ but he won't be tooling around the Vatican gardens in it.

Instead, the special edition Huracan will be auctioned off by Sotheby's, with the proceeds going to charities including one aimed at helping rebuild Christian communities in Iraq that were devastated by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. group.

Officials from the luxury sports car maker presented Francis with the sleek white car with papal yellow-gold detailing on Wednesday, outside the Vatican hotel where he lives. The pope promptly blessed it.

Base prices for the Huracan, which was first introduced in 2014, usually start at around 183,000 euros ($217,000.) A special edition built for a papal charity would be expected to fetch far more at auction.

Francis got around his native Buenos Aires on public transport and has long railed against people who buy the latest model cars or cellphones. As pope, he uses a blue Ford Focus inside the Vatican walls, and he has made a statement on all his foreign trips by shunning fancy, bullet-proof SUVs and opting instead for modest Fiats or KIAs.

Some of the funds raised from the auction will go to rebuilding homes, churches and public buildings in Iraq's Nineveh Plains that were devastated during three years of fighting by the Islamic State group. The Vatican said the aim is to allow Christians who were forced to flee Nineveh "to finally return to their roots and recover their dignity."

Other funds will go to charities that help women who are trafficked and forced into prostitution, and those that provide medical care in Africa.

The Sant'Agata Bolognese-based Lamborghini is owned by Germany's Volkswagen.

The Kurdish dream is now closer to reality
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] I do not think that the consequences of holding a referendum over the right of self-determination in the Kurdistan region and disputed lands have pushed the dream of Kurdish independence far as some analysts are saying.

have agreed on punishing the Kurds for practicing their freedom of expression regarding their future, imposed a siege on them and deployed Iraqi federal forces in all disputed lands and on land and air border crossings.

Russian Long Range Aviation hammers Abu Kamal
The town of Abu Kamal in the Deir Ezzor province that had been the last major ISIL stronghold in Syria was liberated by the government forces with Russia’s aerial assistance last week.

The Russian Defense Ministry has announced that six Tu-22M3 long-range bombers had struck ISIL targets near Syria’s town of Abu Kamal.

“Fortified areas, manpower and armored vehicles of terrorists have been targeted,” Defense Ministry stated, adding that means of reconnaissance had confirmed the destruction of all the designated targets.

The strikes come in the wake of the Syrian army’s liberation of the town of Abu Kamal that had been the last largest ISIL hotbed in the war-torn state.

Commenting on the successful operation to free Abu Kamal in the Deir Ezzor province, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stated last week that the demining of the area had started, while the Syrian army’s offensive in the eastern bank of river Euphrates was developing successfully.

Macron invites Hariri and his family to France
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] President Emmanuel Macron has invited Leb's Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri and his family to La Belle France, the French presidency said on Wednesday, seeking to defuse a brewing crisis in the Middle East.

Hariri announced his abrupt resignation as premier 11 days ago from the Saudi capital Riyadh, propelling Leb to the front of a regional contest for power between Soddy Arabia

and Iran.

"After speaking with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri the president has invited Saad al-Hariri and his family to La Belle France," the Elysee said in a statement.

A source in the Elysee palace said Hariri was expected to arrive in Gay Paree with his family in the coming days.

La Belle France's foreign minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, was due in Riyadh on Wednesday evening.

The Elysee palace statement referred to Hariri as Leb's prime minister and gave no explicit reason for Macron's invitation.
Ynet adds that President Macron does not intend this to be an offer of exile, but merely a visit of a few days to reduce tensions before Mr. Hariri returns to Lebanon.

Egypt court upholds life sentence of brotherhood leader
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] An Egyptian court Wednesday upheld a life sentence passed in 2016 against Moslem Brüderbund leader Mohammed Badie over deadly festivities following Islamist president Mohammed Morsi’s ouster, judicial officials said.

The court of cassation, whose rulings can not be appealed, upheld the verdict of life terms against Badie, the Brotherhood’s spiritual guide, and eight others over festivities in the Suez Canal city of Ismailiya that killed three people.

The court also confirmed three-year jail sentences against 19 defendants and 10-year terms against 29 others.

The authorities have tossed in the clink
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
thousands of Brotherhood leaders and members, including Morsi, since his ouster by the army in 2013.

Hundreds have been sentenced to death, although many have appealed and won retrials.

The country was rocked by violence for weeks after Morsi’s supporters set up protest camps and demonstrated against his overthrow.

On August 14, 2013, security forces violently dispersed two protest camps in Cairo demanding Morsi be reinstated, leaving more than 700 people dead.

Morsi had won the country’s first free election in 2012, a year after a popular uprising ousted veteran strongman Hosni Mubarak

But his rule was divisive
...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled...
and millions held protests in Cairo demanding his resignation, prompting the army to overthrow and detain him.

Badie is facing charges in more than 35 trials, according to his lawyers. He was handed death sentences in three other cases but those rulings have been scrapped.

Danish-Born Islamic State Fighter Stripped of Citizenship
[Breitbart] For the first time in Danish history, a citizen born in Denmark has had his citizenship revoked after being convicted of being a member of the Islamic State terror group.

Danish-born Muslim Enes Ciftci, 25, who is also a citizen of Turkey, was found guilty of supporting the terror group and sentenced to six years in prison and expulsion. The court found that Ciftci had expressed support for terrorist attacks committed by the group and had actively tried to raise funding for them, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation reports.

The case is the first time a Danish citizen born in the country has had their citizenship revoked. However, it is not the first time a foreign-born Islamic radical has been stripped of citizenship.

Last year, Muslim bookshop owner Said Mansour was the first criminal to be stripped of his Danish citizenship after being sentenced to four years in prison for supporting terrorist groups. Mansour, 56, came to Denmark from Morrocco as an adult in 1988.

In the case of Ciftci, the court justified taking away his citizenship saying that he had twice attempted to join Islamic State in 2013 and 2015.

He is also said to have raised 20,000 Danish krone (£1,400) for the terror group and praised the Copenhagen terror attacker Omar Abdel Hamid El-Hussein.

Hussein was responsible for attacking both a presentation put on by Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks, as well as shooting up a synagogue in the city, killing two and injuring several others in 2015.

Algerian foreign minister says region under threat after ISIS defeats
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Algerian Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel said Wednesday that North Africa is under threat from imported muscle escaping ISIS defeats in Iraq and Syria.

Messahel spoke at a news conference in Cairo after a meeting with his Egyptian and Tunisian counterparts, Sameh Shoukry and Khemaies Jhinaoui, over Libya.

ISIS rose to prominence in the chaos of Syria’s conflict, which broke out in 2011 with protests against Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Leveler of Latakia...
After its explosive rise in 2014 and conquest of vast swathes of territory in Syria and Iraq, ISIS established a "caliphate" that attracted thousands of imported muscle.

But a string of losses this year have left the jihadists clinging on to pockets of territory in Iraq and Syria.

"The region is threatened... with the return of imported muscle," said Messahel. "The signs and reports say the return will be in our region."

The ministers also met to discuss Libya in February in Tunisia and again in June in Algeria, as the three countries push for a solution in Libya.

The priority is "preserving Libya’s unity and stability and territorial integrity, and maintaining dialogue and Libyan political agreement as the sole basis for settling the Libyan crisis", Egypt’s foreign ministry said in a statement.

In fact, expressions such as "war on extremism" or "promoting the culture of tolerance" have echoed so much that they have lost their meaning. This is because they often ignore the substance and turn into propaganda to silence Western governments and international organizations that place Arab and Moslem countries at the bottom of the list on religious freedom and anti-extremism efforts.

Sportswear abayas become a market favorite in Saudi Arabia
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Women's sportswear abayas began to make a statement in women's clothing shops, particularly in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, merchants said, Saudi daily Ajel reported.

Demand on the new designs is expected to rise with the approaching date of allowing the families to enter the stadiums which is expected to start immediately in the New Year.

Pictures of the designs of the sportswear abayas of certain teams such as al Etihad, al Hilal, al Ahli and al Nasr showed the difference in the colors that represent each team.

The prices of the abayas ranged between $66 and $106, depending on the quality of the cloth used, with the expectation that prices will decline in the future with increasing quantities offered.

The former head of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Makkah, Sheikh Ahmed bin Qassim al-Ghamdi found it completely acceptable for women to enter football stadiums with colorful abayas stressing that, "there is nothing wrong with that."

Commenting on how some shop owners started importing colorful abayas for women who are fans of football teams in accordance with the implementation of the decision to allow the families to enter the stadiums, Sheikh al-Ghamdi told Agel "we encourage women to enter the stadiums wearing the color of their favorites team," adding that "it is permissible by the Charia." .

He stated that: "Abayas are like the Jilbab and doesn’t have a specific color." He continued saying that: "Religion does not order women to wear a specific color, so it is not acceptable to force people to do something that Allah hasn’t ordered."

Sheikh al-Ghamdi explained that "the aim is to cover up women in Jilbab, whether it is the color of the team they encourage or any color they choose."

Zimbabwe military: ‘We are targeting criminals around Mugabe’
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Zim-bob-wean military officers read an address live on state TV in the early hours of Wednesday, saying they were not launching a coup but were "targeting criminals around" President Bob Muggsy Mugabe
Nonagenarian President-for-Life of Zim-bob-we who turned the former Breadbasket of Africa into the African Basket Case...
"It is not a military takeover of government," said one general reading a statement.

"We wish to assure the nation that his excellency the president... and his family are safe and sound and their security is guaranteed.

"We are only targeting criminals around him who are committing crimes... As soon as we have accomplished our mission we expect that the situation will return to normality."

Armoured vehicles were seen on the streets near the capital Harare on Tuesday as questions mounted over whether Mugabe, who has ruled since independence from Britannia in 1980, was still holding onto power.

Tensions between the 93-year-old leader and the military have intensified in recent days.

Prolonged gunfire erupted near Mugabe's private residence in the suburb of Borrowdale early Wednesday, a witness told AFP. No further details were available.

The shooting came after Mugabe's ZANU-PF party on Tuesday accused army chief General Constantino Chiwenga of "treasonable conduct".

The public dispute has presented a major test for Mugabe, who is in increasingly frail health.

Chiwenga had demanded that Mugabe stop purges of senior party figures, including vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa, who was dismissed last week.

‘Future of ISIS caliphate’: Son of Sally Jones ‘still alive’ after ‘White Widow’ killed in US drone
[RT] Syrian sources claim the son of British jihadist Sally Jones, dubbed the ’White Widow’ by the media, is alive and well. Joe ’Jojo’ Dixon, 12, was thought to have been killed alongside his mother in a CIA Reaper dronezap in June.

Initial reports suggested the British woman used her indoctrinated son as a human shield while trying to flee the Syrian city of Raqqa. The Kent mother took her son and travelled to Syria in 2012 to join her new husband Junaid Hussein and Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(IS, formerly ISIS/ISIS). She quickly rose through the ranks of IS to become a top recruiter, and is said to have recruited hundreds of UK women to become jihadi brides.

When Jones’ husband was killed in a 2015 raid, her son was taken from her by the caliphate. The news of Jojo’s survival comes as Westminster faces criticism for failing to help UK citizens abroad. The parents of ’Jihadi Jack,’ a British man who is being held by Kurdish forces in northern Syria after travelling to the war ravaged country to join IS, have accused the Foreign Office and Boris Johnson of being "obstructive" in their bid to bring their son home. Johnson has also been criticized after comments he made in a foreign affairs committee meeting resulted in the possibility of a British woman’s jail sentence in Iran being extended by five years.

Anonymous sources told The Telegraph that UK-born Jojo is currently in the village of al-Shaafa, near Syria’s eastern border. He was last seen in the village three weeks ago.

According to two separate sources, when Jojo turned 12 in December he was considered to be of fighting age and was conscripted into the ranks of IS. He is now known by the Islamic name Hamza, and was inducted into Islamic State’s ’cubs of the caliphate’ training camps in northern Syria in early 2016

AU To Deploy An Extra 500 Police Officers To Somalia
[RadioShabelle] The African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) announced on Tuesday that some 1,000 soldiers will be withdrawn from Somalia by Dec. 31 in line with the African Union and UN Security Council resolutions.

The Special Representative of the African Union Chairperson for Somalia, Francisco Madeira, stressed that the withdrawal of AMISOM troops from Somalia will be "gradual" and "conditions-based."

"AMISOM has begun its drawdown from Somalia and will have its troop numbers reduced by 1,000 by Dec. 31. Our drawdown and transition must be gradual, conditions-based, responsible and done in a manner that does not compromise the safety and security of the Somali people," Madeira told journalists in Mogadishu.

As result of this, he said, troop movements have started in different parts of the Horn of Africa nation and will continue for the coming as security responsibilities start to shift to the local military.

"This is a process of re-alignment to effect the reduction in numbers and begin the handover of security responsibilities to Somali forces. I want to assure all that this exercise’s being conducted with caution to ensure the security of the Somali people is not compromised," he said.

Madeira said as part of the military drawdown, the pan African body will deploy an extra 500 coppers who will strengthen training and mentoring for Somali Police

"The deployment of additional coppers will help extend law and order in Somalia hence further securing the country," the AU envoy said.

AMISOM will reduce its troops by 1,000 by December, followed by further cuts next year, an exercise expected to end by 2020 as part of its exit strategy.

However,
some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them...
AMISOM’s exit is also pegged on the ability of the Somali National Security Forces, particularly the SNA to ably take over the security of the country.

The AU envoy’s remarks came a day after AMISOM launched a massive security operation to flush out al-Shabaab
... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
holy warriors in Middle Shabelle region in southern region.

The major offensive comes barely a month after the country’s Oct. 14 deadly attack killed 358 people and left several others injured.

Madeira said the ongoing troop movements should not cause alarm, but the withdrawal has begun earlier than expected.

"The re-alignment of AMISOM troops is a process that must be implemented as part African Union and UN Security Council resolutions. We are proud and envisioned a time when we could hand over responsibility to the Somali National Security Forces," Madeira said.

He said the Somali forces urgently need to be equipped with necessary weapons and key logistical support including timely payment of stipend to enable them to flush out the holy warriors out of the country.

"Other urgent support includes provision of quality medical care and establishment of key infrastructure ‐ barracks and training centers," he said.

Some Western countries including the United States have expressed concern that Somalia’s security forces will not be ready by then.

AMISOM is comprised of troops drawn from Kenya, Æthiopia, Djibouti, and Burundi who are deployed in six sectors covering south and central Somalia.

Ugandan troops are deployed in Sector 1 which comprises the regions of Banadir and Lower Shabelle.

Immigrant who doinked stepdaughter in ‘anchor baby’ scheme faces 90 years in prison
[RT] An illegal immigrant's plan to father a so-called “anchor baby” to stay in the US backfired after it emerged the mother of his child was his 15-year-old stepdaughter. He now faces multiple sexual assault charges and up to 90 years in prison. Horacio Alvarado, 32, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, insisted on a paternity test in 2015 for a child born in 2012, apparently believing that fathering a child in the US would shield him from deportation, according to a criminal complaint seen by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

[Inquirer] Six local residents of Sulu were abducted by armed men believed to be Abu Sayyaf militants, the military said Wednesday. Military spokesman Cirilito Sobejana said that 15 armed men seized six individuals in Patikul town past on Tuesday evening.

The victims were identified as Jessy Trinidad, 55; Nene Trinidad, 56; Aloh Trinidad, 22; Lucy Hapole, 21; Junjun Hapole, 12; and Nelson Hapole, 7.

Sobejana said, "This demonstrates that the notorious kidnappers in Sulu are victimizing anybody, including their fellow Tausugs, even those who have less in life. Such hostility reminds us that security is everybody’s responsibility."

Zimbabwe’s Military, in Apparent Takeover, Says It Has Custody of Mugabe
[NYTIMES] Zim-bob-we’s military said early Wednesday that it had taken custody of President Bob Muggsy Mugabe
Nonagenarian President-for-Life of Zim-bob-we who turned the former Breadbasket of Africa into the African Basket Case...
, the world’s oldest head of state and one of Africa’s longest-serving leaders, in what increasingly appeared to be a military takeover in the southern African nation.

After apparently seizing the state broadcaster, ZBC, two uniformed officers said in a short predawn announcement that "the situation in our country has moved to another level." While denying that the military had seized power, they said that Mr. Mugabe and his family "are safe and sound, and their security is guaranteed."

"We are only targeting criminals around him who are committing crimes that are causing social and economic suffering in the country in order to bring them to justice," said the main speaker, who was identified as Maj. Gen. S. B. Moyo, the army’s chief of staff.

General Moyo ‐ who was not widely known to the public but who was considered close to the commander of the Zim-bob-we Defense Forces, Gen. Constantine Chiwenga ‐ warned that "any provocation will be met with an appropriate response."

Around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, taxis were running on the main roads leading to central Harare and people seemed to be making their way to work. Some soldiers could be seen on the main roads but were not stopping commuters.

After the short announcement, commercials on farming and corn seeds appeared on the state broadcaster. There was no further clarification of the whereabouts or status of Mr. Mugabe, 93, who is the only leader his nation has known since independence in 1980.

The office of President Jacob Zuma of South Africa said in a statement that Mr. Zuma and Mr. Mugabe had spoken. Mr. Mugabe "indicated that he was confined to his home but said that he was fine," the statement said. It said that South Africa was in contact with the Zim-bob-wean military.

Zimbabwe's Coup Is Nothing to Celebrate
[BLOOMBERG] As leader of Zim-bob-we, Bob Muggsy Mugabe
Nonagenarian President-for-Life of Zim-bob-we who turned the former Breadbasket of Africa into the African Basket Case...
has survived longer than Stalin in the Soviet Union and Mao in China. If it's coming to an end -- which seems likely given his apparent inability to emerge from house arrest after the military took charge -- it's worth reflecting on the mistakes he made to end such a remarkable run.

Daniel Treisman, a UCLA political scientist, argued in a recent paper that most dictators fall for reasons proving that they are all too human: hubris, a propensity for needless risk, liberalization impulses that lead to a slippery slope, picking the wrong successor, counterproductive violence. Mugabe, 93, is no exception; he groomed the wrong person to succeed him and relied too much on his military. When he tried to change his pick, the generals decided they'd had enough.

Zimbabwe's Mugabe Out Of Power For First Time Since 1980s As Military Takes Control
[NPR.ORG] President Bob Muggsy Mugabe

and his family are "safe and sound," according to Zim-bob-we's military ‐ but his decades in power are seemingly at an end, after Mugabe, 93, was forcefully pushed aside. Both the ruling party and the military insist there was no coup.

"We are only targeting criminals around him who are committing crimes that are causing social and economic suffering in the country in order to bring them to justice," the Zim-bob-we Defense Forces said on Wednesday, adding, "As soon as we have accomplished our mission we expect that the situation will return to normality."

But it will be a new normal for Zim-bob-we, which has been led by Mugabe since the 1980s.

The dramatic shift comes a week after Mugabe fired longtime Vice President (and military veteran) Emmerson Mnangagwa, accusing him of disloyalty. That seemed to be the last straw for the military, which sent armored vehicles and soldiers on street patrols in the capital. As we reported, "Soldiers reportedly took control of the headquarters of the national broadcaster, ZBC, with an army front man saying on air, 'this is not a military takeover.' "

The President has urged the Government of the Republic of Zim-bob-we and the Zim-bob-we Defence Force to resolve the political impasse amicably and has urged the Zim-bob-wean Defence Force to ensure that the maintenance of peace and security in the country is not compromised.

SADC will continue to closely monitor the situation and remains ready to assist where necessary to resolve the political impasse in keeping with established SADC Protocols and processes.

Afghan opium output soars as cultivation hits record high
[AlAhram] Afghan opium producers have had a bumper year with output soaring 87 percent as the area under poppy cultivation hit a record high, the latest annual survey said Wednesday.

Agricultural advances, including the use of solar-powered irrigation systems, fertilizers and pesticides, may have made opium production viable in desert areas and helped to lift the average yield by 15 percent.
The price of opium -- the lifeblood of the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
-- as it left farms in war-torn Afghanistan this year soared by 55 percent to almost $1.4 billion, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) said, helping to fuel the bloody insurgency.

Boston Dynamics is trying to make its robots less terrifying
[FOXNEWS] Boston Dynamics has given its robot dog an upgrade.

In a 25-second YouTube clip, the company unveiled the new SpotMini, a four-legged bot housed in a sleek yellow casing. "Coming soon," the video teases as SpotMini trots over grass and ducks down like a real dog.

The company showed off a prototype model last year without any exterior casing; its black and silver parts were exposed. The all-electric model weighed 55 pounds, and could run for 90 minutes on one charge. It could be equipped with a robot arm that sat on top of the SpotMini's back—allowing it, for example, to place a glass cup in a dishwasher, dump trash into a wastebin, and rather hilariously, fetch a can of soda to a human person like a dog might. It could also recover and stand back up again after stumbling over a pile of banana peels.

It's unclear if the upgraded SpotMini will come with a robot arm; the new video clip doesn't show it built with one. Boston Dynamics didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

SpotMini is a smaller version of Boston Dynamics's larger four-legged robot called Spot, which could stand and still walk, despite taking a kick from a human.

Both robots use a variety of sensors, including LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging)—the same technology self-driving cars are using—to navigate and maintain balance.

in the northeastern border town of Arsal, the Army Command-Orientation Directorate said in a statement.

The statement added that the arrest was made early at dawn and that interrogations have kicked off with the related judiciary.

In September, the army sought the arrest of Hujeiri following confessions by his detained son, Obada, about his father's alleged involvement in the 2014 kidnap of around 30 Lebanese soldiers and coppers during festivities with jihadist groups.

Media reports also said that the detainee is involved in several terror acts.
No doubt, given that some of the kidnappers belonged to Al Nusra, and the rest to ISIS.

Top Army officer says 'significant amount' of soldiers' crime data not reported to feds
[FoxNews] The Army’s top officer said Wednesday that his service had many "gaps" to fill when it comes to sharing soldiers' criminal history with federal law enforcement agencies in the wake of this month's Texas church shooting, which was carried out by an Air Force veteran with a history of domestic violence.

"We have a significant amount of omissions," admitted Gen. Mark Milley, the Army chief of staff. "There are gaps and failures on our part." Milley was the first service chief outside the Air Force to publicly admit to widespread lapses in sharing data on violent service members.

Milley said about "10 to 20 percent" of Army criminal cases are not reported to the FBI.

Roughly 150 soldiers are given a dishonorable discharge each year, Milley said. He did not say how many former soldiers had "bad conduct" discharges, the same type Air Force veteran Devin Kelley had when he was kicked out in 2014 after serving a year in prison for multiple counts of assaulting his wife and baby.

Politics of Denunciation Will Soon Have To Stop Even If Moore Is Doomed
By Conrad Black

[NYSUN] It is hard not to look upon the Roy Moore imbroglio as another well-timed hit-job from a familiar and well-practiced source ‐ the same people who thought they had destroyed the Trump campaign by releasing the Billy Bush tape from eleven years before, and, when that didn’t finish Mr. Trump off, tried the nuclear option late in the campaign by shopping to the press the Steele dossier, which the Clinton campaign had commissioned, with its salacious and seditious elements.

The dossier was so extreme in its allegations and so thoroughly unsupported and unverifiable that even the most rabid Democratic mouthpieces wouldn’t touch it. They could only get a nibble from Yahoo before the election, despite Democratic senator Harry Reid

Yet, they celebrate as diversity a "religion" (1) allowing the marriage of an 80 y/o male and a, say, 12 y/o girl who, btw, has no concept of "consent" in relationships, and (2) Actively promotes the general subjugation of women.

These claims of sexual harassment are being used by the left and by the right as a political weapon to take down anyone who disagrees with your side. It is like a friggin chess game. Moore gets hit by the left and the right comes back and says "I'll raise you a Franken." Eventually, the left will go for "Checkmate." The left will probably have another run at Trump with Allred's fake Jane Doe vs. Trump case which was initially filed in CA and tossed out of the court. Then it was filed in NY. Now it has been filed in DC I think. Politics is a very dirty business and it is played for keeps. The left is more skillful at this game. The Pubs still have a shred of morality.

As it stands, the damage is done and this seat will go to the Democrat based on latest polling if Moore stays in. 50-42% margin among likely voters. The main reason seems to be that GOP turnout (likely voters) is down, probably because the unfavorable opinion jumped from 27% to 49% due to the allegations and constant hammering in the mainstream press.

They have less than a month to fix this or the GOP senate majority becomes very fragile. Keep your eyes on the prize. Majority Leader Schumer, anyone?

According to Farhad Hashimi, Parwan police CID acting-director, the incident occurred at about 11:00 pm on Tuesday night when Matin and Shaheed were on their way home.

A magnetic IED had been attached to their vehicle, officials said.
“They had been attending a cultural program in Charekar, the capital of the province,” Hashimi said.

So far no one has been arrested in connection with the incident, Hashimi added.

No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

Thanksgiving outlook: Brutal cold, snow to blast Midwest as a storm may eye the East
Time to start planning for Thanksgiving, dear Reader. Mr. Wife informs me that if we get a foot of snow, we won't be driving up to Buffalo.
[AccuWeather] While warmth builds in the Southwest, re-surging cold air may trigger frequent snow in the Great Lakes and help spin up a storm along the East Coast around Thanksgiving Day.

Following a storm and shot of cold air that sweeps across the northern part of the nation into this weekend, there is the potential for very cold air with a punishing wind to take root over the Midwest and Northeast during the long Thanksgiving weekend.

"If indications are correct, some locations may be hit by up to one foot of snow, while gusty winds sweep cold air from the northern Plains to the Gulf Coast, Appalachians and eventually the Atlantic Seaboard," according to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Brett Anderson.

It is during that press of arctic air when another storm may come about with a swath of steady rain, ice and snow in the Northeast.

A piece of the polar vortex may break loose and settle in the swath from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The jet stream is a high speed river of air at the level where jets cruise at.

Egypt court issues preliminary death sentence for man convicted of killing Coptic priest
[AlAhram] A South Giza criminal court issued a preliminary death sentence on Wednesday against a man convicted of killing Coptic Orthodox priest Samaan Shehata in Cairo last October.

The court has referred the case to the country's Grand Mufti for a non-binding opinion on the death sentence per Egyptian law.

The court set 15 January for a session to issue its verdict.

The defendant, Ahmed El-Sonbaty,
...who has been described as an extremist with a criminal record, whatever that means, and did the deed with a cleaver...
was charged by the prosecution of premeditated murder of a Christian clergyman Shehata to death and injuring another priest in Madinat El-Salam in east Cairo.

The defence argued that the defendant was insane, but the prosecution answered that he was fully aware of his actions.

Shehata was an archpriest at the St Julius Church in El-Fashn in the governorate of Beni Suef in Upper Egypt.

The injured priest, Beymen Moftan, administers the El-Malak church in Matay, Minya.

U.S. Chamber of Commerce Ilegal Labor Sweatshop Wages Says Americans Suck
[Breitbart] The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has posted two billboards in front of the White House which declare America was built by foreign ’Dreamers,’ not by native-born Americans, who apparently have no place in the billboards or in America’s society. "It is absolutely an insult to Americans, but the Chamber knows that, which is why this isn’t a broad-based campaign" conducted outside Washington D.C., said Mark Krikorian, director at the Center for Immigration Studies. He continued:

The implicit message is that immigrants are better than Americans, that Americans are the supporting players, and the immigrants are the stars. It really is kind of the idea that immigrants are somehow magical people, not normal humans with all the strengths and weaknesses and foibles of regular people, that they are somehow magical...

Don’t American kids have dreams? [Silicon valley creators] David Packard and Bill Hewlett were not immigrants. Bill Gates wasn’t an immigrant. Tom Watson [founder] of IBM wasn’t an immigrant. Obviously immigration is an important part of America’s story, but it is just one part.

French Suspect Handed Terror Charges over Syria Kidnapping
[AnNahar] A Frenchie accused of a deadly 2014 shooting at a Brussels Jewish museum was handed preliminary terrorism charges in La Belle France Wednesday relating to a separate case in Syria, according to his lawyer.

Lawyer Francis Vuillemin said Mehdi Nemmouche
...a Frenchman of Algerian origin...
was escorted under high security for "just a few hours" to Gay Paree from Belgium, where he is currently being held, to face the French authorities.

The charges of "kidnapping and illegal sequestration with links to a terrorist enterprise" relate to allegations that Nemmouche, 32, was the jailer of four French journalists held in Syria between June 2013 and May 2014.

The lawyer said Nemmouche remained silent throughout.
...possibly because, according to Ynet, the Belgians have kept Mr Nemmouche in solitary confinement for the past three years. Perhaps one day they will actually put him on trial.
Nemmouche is suspected of gunning down four people with an assault weapon in the Brussels museum in May 2014.

Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, the pastor had finally been wrestled from the pulpit.
Y'got the wrong guy! he yelled just before Sergeant Malone's billy club landed...

the Gay Paree prosecutor's office said that the lone surviving suspect in the massacres in La Belle France in November 2015, Salah Abdeslam,
...who has been described as a Belgian-born French national...
went before a French judge also on Wednesday in Gay Paree.

Abdeslam, 28, remained silent during the hearing into the attacks that left 130 dead in Gay Paree and its suburbs, according to the Gay Paree prosecutor's office.

Abdeslam is currently in prison in La Belle France and unlikely to face trial there for several years.

FBI gave Clinton email investigation ‘special' status, deputy director's email shows
[TheHill] Shortly before last year’s election, FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe wrote an email on his official government account stating that the Hillary Clinton email probe had been given “special” status, according to documents released Wednesday.

McCabe’s Oct. 23, 2016, email to press officials in the FBI said the probe was under the control of a small group of high-ranking people at the FBI’s headquarters in Washington.

“As I now know the decision was made to investigate it at HQ with a small team,” McCabe wrote in the email. He said he had no input when the Clinton email investigation started in summer 2015, while he was serving as assistant director in charge of the FBI's Washington office.

“[The Washington office] provided some personnel for the effort but it was referred to as a ‘special’ and I was not given any details about it,” he wrote.

FBI officials on Wednesday night refused to answer what McCabe meant by calling the Clinton email probe a “special” or why it was restricted to a small team at headquarters when it began.

Lebanese president welcomes Saad Hariri’s plans to return soon
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Lebanese President Michel Aoun
...president of Leb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah...
, who has refused to accept Saad Hariri
Second son of Rafik Hariri, the Leb PM who was assassinated in 2005. He has was prime minister in his own right from 2009 through early 2011. He was born in Riyadh to an Iraqi mother and graduated from Georgetown University. He managed his father's business interests in Riyadh until his father's assassination. When his father died he inherited a fortune of some $4.1 billion, which won't do him much good if Hizbullah has him bumped off, too.
’s resignation as prime minister unless Hariri returns from Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, welcomed comments from Hariri that he plans to come home soon, palace sources and visitors said on Monday.

Hariri, who threw Leb into political crisis by reading out his resignation on Nov. 4 from Riyadh, gave his first public remarks since then in an interview late on Sunday, saying he planned to return within days.

He suggested he could even withdraw his resignation, provided the Shiite group Hezbollah -- allied to Saudi Arabia’s regional rival Iran -- renounces interference in conflicts across the Middle East.

"President Aoun expressed his pleasure at Hariri’s announcement of his return to Leb soon," a source said.

Aoun said that Hariri was "leaving all doors open including rescinding his resignation", according to one of a group of visitors who met Aoun. The visitors declined to be identified while discussing the closed-door conversations.

The visitors quoted Aoun as saying that Hariri’s remarks showed that the political deal underpinning Leb’s coalition government -- which includes both Hariri’s Sunni party and the heavily armed Shiite movement Hezbollah -- still stands.

Aoun has been convening high level meetings with Lebanese politicians and diplomats since Hariri stepped down, and the visitors said the president believed that Hariri’s comments showed such efforts were working.

Silence from Hezbollah
Nearly 24 hours after Hariri’s interview, which appeared on a TV station he owns, Hezbollah had still not commented on his remarks. Hezbollah’s allies in Iran said Hariri’s remarks gave hope he would return to Leb.

In his resignation speech Hariri, whose father, also a former prime minister, was killed by a bomb in 2005, said he feared liquidation. He said in his interview eight days later that he was free to leave Saudi Arabia but that his movements were also guided by concern for his family’s safety.

Hariri’s Future Movement political party said on Monday it saw his plan to return to Beirut within days as a "good sign" and a step on the road to repairing Leb’s foreign relations.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
CA shooting suspect was on bail for assault with a deadly weapon
[NYPost] The crazed gunman who went on a shooting spree in Northern California, killing four people before being shot dead, had been out on bail for stabbing a neighbor — but told his mother a day earlier that he was done feuding with his rural community, according to reports.

“Mom, it’s all over now,” Kevin Janson Neal’s mother said he told her in their final conversation. “I have done everything I could do and I am fighting against everyone who lives in this area.”

The following day, he donned a ballistic vest, grabbed a semi-automatic rifle and two handguns and went on a 45-minute rampage across Rancho Tehama Reserve.

He killed two of his neighbors, stole their truck and drove around as he randomly picked off his targets in seven locations en route to the Rancho Tehama Elementary School.

Neal tried to enter the school, but couldn’t get in as he unleashed 30 rounds before taking off. No teachers or students were killed.

“He did shoot at a number of classrooms which resulted in the injury of at least one or two students that I’m aware of,” the sheriff said.

A short time later, a patrol car rammed Neal’s vehicle before officers opened fire and killed him.

By then, the 43-year-old had left four people dead and 10 injured, including a 6-year-old boy hit inside the school, the Sacramento Bee reported.

Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston said Neal’s motive appeared to be to exact revenge on his neighbors.

“And when it got that far, (he) went on a rampage … He was driving up and down the street shooting at passersby,” he said.

One of the fatalities was a woman who lived near the gunman and was the victim of an assault in January that ended with Neal in the slammer, the paper reported.

Neal’s mother, who would only give her first name, Annie, said her son told her he grabbed a steak knife out of his neighbor’s hand while being threatened. The neighbor was slightly cut, she said Neal told her.

The mother, who lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she raised Neal, said she posted his $160,000 bail and spent $10,000 on a lawyer after he was arrested in January.

Johnston said he believed Neal was slapped with a restraining order after the January arrest that would have prevented him from owning firearms, at least temporarily.

In April, the District Attorney’s Office charged him with assaulting a second person, also in late January, according to Tehama County court records.

Tehama DA Gregg Cohen told the Bee that his office was prosecuting Neal on charges related to a stabbing and assault with a deadly weapon involving two of his neighbors.

Police had also visited Neal’s house a day before the shootings on a domestic violence call, authorities said, but gave no details.

Neal’s mother said her son was working as a pot farmer and had recently married his longtime girlfriend.

In her last few conversations with her son, Annie said he sounded desperate and distraught over his relationship with his neighbors, who he said were cooking meth that created fumes that were harming his nine dogs.

Neal’s sister, Sheridan Orr, said she had not talked to her brother in months, but that he had struggled with mental illness and at times had a violent temper.

She said she believed he was addicted to drugs.

“We’re stunned and we’re appalled that this is a person who has no business with firearms whatsoever,” Orr said. “Our deep, deep sympathy for the victims and it sounds trite but our hearts are breaking for them.”

Orr added, “If we can do any good to make people realize there must be some gates on people like this from getting guns,” she paused. “This is the same story we’re hearing more and more.”

Cristal Caravez, who lives across a ravine from the road where Neal and his first victims lived, said she and others heard constant gunfire but couldn’t say for sure it was him firing.

She and her father, who is president of the homeowners association, said neighbors would complain to the sheriff’s department, which referred the complaints back to the homeowners association.

“The sheriff wouldn’t do anything about it,” Juan Caravez said.

Madrasa textbooks purged in Bangladesh to curb extremism
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The theory and practice of Jihad, or Islamic holy war, will no longer be taught in school or college classrooms in Bangladesh, which houses the fourth-largest Moslem population in the world and is grappling with rising religious extremism.

Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina’s Awami League government has ordered madrasas, or traditional Islamic educational institutions, to drop certain chapters from textbooks, which will be distributed in 2018 to prevent impressionable youth from falling prey to fanaticism.

In July 2016, home-grown bully boyz stormed the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka’s diplomatic enclave and bumped off 22 Italian, Japanese, American, Bangladeshi and an Indian hostage heralding the arrival Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
-backed terrorism in the South Asian country hemmed in by India and Myanmar.

Congratulating the government for revising the syllabus, Professor Anisuzzaman, President of Bangla Academy and one of the country’s most respected writers with a string of awards and laurels, said "it’s inconceivable how that concept crept stealthily into the curriculum in a democratic nation whose Constitution is based on the rule of law".

The 70-year-old intellectual who reportedly figures on fundamentalists’ hit-list said that madrasa textbooks should have been "cleansed" long ago but "it’s better late than never".

Curbing radicalization
According to leading Bangladeshi newspapers like Dhaka Tribune and Daily Star, the administration was spurred into action by the high-powered National Committee on Militancy Resistance and Prevention (NCMRP) tasked with curbing radicalization of young Bangladeshi men and women.

Madrasa textbooks define the concept as "fight against the enemies of Islam", which according to NCMRP fanned "slow radicalization" and "encouraged them to join violent groups in the country and abroad to fight the "enemies of Islam."

Abdullah Yousuf, principal of Alia Madrasa in Noakhali, told Dhaka Tribune: "To be fair to Islam, what's prescribed by our religion and holy warrior activity are entirely different and the government must send a clear message to the students to distinguish between the two".

Amid hectic preparations to welcome Pope Francis in Dhaka from November 30 to December 2, Theophil Norkek, secretary of Catholic Bishops’ Justice and Peace Commission, backed the government.

"The Hasina regime has taken a good decision and I guess it is intended to eradicate radicalism and to help students become moderate Moslems. The concept has been widely misinterpreted to brainwash Moslems into regarding people of other faiths as enemies of Islam".

Since the gruesome Bakery massacre, Bangladeshi security forces have killed roughly 100 holy warriors, often in cold blood, and incarcerated

hundreds to curb terrorism in the essentially secular and liberal country.

A big source of worry is the induction of educated youth from affluent backgrounds into krazed killer outfits like the Jamaatul Mujahedin Bangladesh (JMB) and Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT).

Dhaka clearly hopes that purging textbooks will curb the growth of fanaticism sullying the image of a centuries-old religion as glorious and peace-loving as Islam.

UN resolution calls on Iranian militia fighters to exit Syrian conflict
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The UN General Assembly has passed a resolution against serious human rights
When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much...
violations in Syria, most notably is their call on Iranian militias to leave Syria.

The UN resolution condemned systematic violations and abuses against Syrian civilians since the start of the revolution in 2011. The UN also held the regime accountable for the violence.

The resolution demanded imported muscle in Syria to leave, mainly referring to the Quds Force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Iran-backed Hezbollah militia.

Meanwhile,
...back at the fist fight, Jake ducked another roundhouse, then parried with his left, then with his right, finally with his chin...
the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly passed a resolution on Tuesday which condemns Iran for its widespread violations, increased executions and repression of nationalities and religious minorities.

Supporters of the resolution expressed their concern about the increasing number of human rights violations in Iran, including high death rates, discrimination against women, ethnic and religious minorities and arbitrary arrests of activists, journalists and critics.

The Canadian representative at the UN General assembly, whose country prepared the resolution in question, said that the international community is deeply concerned about the increasing number of executions, particularly the execution of minors and women.

Similarly, the Saudi Ambassador to the UN Abdallah al-Muallami said during resolution discussions that Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
supports the UN resolution on the human rights situation in Iran.

Muallami also accused Iran of serious violations towards the rights of Ahvaz Arabs in Iran. Earlier, laws were passed to remove these people form their areas of residence in order to change the demographic structure of the region east and north of the Arabian Gulf.

Migrants are auctioned for sale in Libya
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] CNN has reported an investigation into the slavery trade in Libya and the human suffering of migrants colonists stranded on its shores after failing to cross into Europe.

The report relied on secret footage showing a market auctioning migrants colonists to sell them for use as workers or farmers.

The video shows two people sold within a few minutes for a thousand and two hundred Libyan dinars, less than three hundred dollars, and this is taking place in a natural atmosphere as if the people of this region are accustomed to this terrible sight.

Tens of thousands of migrants colonists cross the border every year from the sub-Saharan Africa to Libya, sailing on boats to the Italian coast, but the recent campaign by the Libyan Coast Guard in coordination with the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
has blocked smugglers' operations.

While the number of boats has been reduced on average, the number of migrants colonists has increased in the warehouses of smugglers, so that they begin to treat migrants colonists as goods offered for buying and selling when the smugglers fail to profit from them as passengers on their "death boats."

The investigation highlighted young Victor, a 21-year-old Nigerian. Victor said he escaped corruption in Nigeria, and his mother borrowed money so that he could travel to Europe
...also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
to fulfill his dream.

But as the European Union fought against illegal immigration and returned migrants colonists to Libya, Victor found himself stranded in a detention center amid bleak humanitarian conditions.

Most of the migrants colonists in Libya are being subjected to human trafficking, he said. The fate of these immigrants colonists remains unknown. Either the immigrant dies at sea or dies more than once on Libyan territory.

CNN said it had handed over the evidence it had to the Libyan authorities, who on their part promised to investigate the case.

Security Council Maintains Partial Lifting Of Arms Embargo On Somalia For One Year
[RadioShabelle] The Security Council on Tuesday renewed until 15 November 2018 the partial lifting of the arms embargo on Somalia, authorization for maritime interdiction of illicit arms imports and charcoal exports, and the humanitarian exemption.

In the resolution adopted by 11 affirmative votes and four abstentions, the 15-member body requested the Somalia and Eritrea
...is run by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), with about the amounts of democracy and justice you'd expect from a party with that name. National elections have been periodically scheduled and cancelled; none have ever been held in the country. The president, Isaias Afewerki, has been in office since independence in 1993 and will probably die there of old age...
Monitoring Group (SEMG) to continue its investigations related to the export to Somalia of chemicals that may be used as oxidizers in the manufacture of improvised bombs, such as the precursors ammonium nitrate, potassium chlorate, potassium nitrate and sodium chlorate.

Those abstained in the vote were Bolivia, China, Egypt, and Russia.

Further, the Council extended until 15 December 2018 the mandate of the SEMG, and recognised that during the course of its current and three previous mandates, the SEMG has not found conclusive evidence that Eritrea supports al-Shabaab
... the personification of Somali state failure...
in Somalia.

The Council expressed its intention to keep measures on Eritrea under regular review, in light of the upcoming midterm update by the SEMG due by 30 April 2018.

Recalling the three meetings between an Eritrean government representative and the SEMG, the Council reiterated its expectation that Eritrea’s Government will facilitate the entry of the SEMG into Eritrea to discharge fully its mandate.

The Council urged Eritrea and Djibouti to engage on the issue of the Djiboutian combatants missing in action and to seek all available solutions to settle their border dispute peacefully.

Bahrain arrests suspect, names Iran-backed cell involved in attacks
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Bahraini authorities have incarcerated
Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un!
a terror suspect on charges of plotting a recent deadly attack on a police bus and identified an Iran-backed cell involved in a series of plots including kabooms on three oil pipelines.

Bahrain’s chief of public security told news hounds at a presser on Wednesday that Zuhair Ebrahim Jassim Abdullah Abas, 37, was arrested for plotting a kaboom on a police bus on Oct. 27 which resulted in the death of policeman Salman Anjam and the injuring of nine others.

Abas’ partner in the plot has reportedly escaped to Iran.

"This was one of a series of terrorist crimes that were planned and executed by a cell linked to Iran-based terror runaways and closely connected to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards," a statement from an interior ministry spokesperson read.

"The disruption of the terror cell foiled a major plot to target public personalities in Bahrain and launch attacks with explosives on three oil pipelines," the statement added.

The suspect arrested on Wednesday is part of a five-man terror cell identified for taking part in past attacks and plotting other ones across the island kingdom. In October 2011, the members of the cell travelled by land to Syria and then to Iran. Their passports were not stamped at the Syria-Iranian border.

They travelled again to Iran in July 2017, according to authorities.

Terror plots
"Cell members were trained by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on how to plan and execute kabooms. This included training on how to plant bombs. The types of explosives used included TNT, RDX and C4. They were also taught how to make moulds for shaped charges, and received training on the technical aspects of bomb-making. They were trained to handle tasers, AK-47s, M16s, RPGs, and pistols," authorities said.

Bahraini authorities identified the following men as part of the cell: Qassim Abdullah Ali Ahmed, also known as "Qassim al-Muamen", 28, whose Bahraini nationality was revoked after being sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment on terror charges. The second man identified is Sadiq Jaffar Mohammed Abdullah Al Tooq, 36, and wanted on terror-related charges, including the manufacturing and possession of homemade bombs. Mahdi Ebrahim Jassim Abdullah, 28, was the third identified member and was earlier sentenced in absentia to 30 years on terror charges, including bomb-making. The fourth runaway was named as Mohammed Mahdi Mohammed Hassan, 39, a heavy truck driver wanted on suspicion of plotting acts of terrorism, manufacturing bombs, and executing acts of terrorism. He was sentenced in absentia for eight cases of robbery and rioting.

All four men are currently runaways after escaping to Iran.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
What Hariri has exposed is an axis of resistance
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] "Everybody, I’m doing very well and in God’s will I’ll be back in a couple of days... let’s all calm down. My family is in its country, the Kingdom of Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, the Kingdom of goodness."

The current situation is that this media delinquency in Lebanon, not all of it, is eye-catching. Despite all the facts and evidence before us, there is in this media someone who is running in the valleys of ignorance and illusion, spreading lies, then believing it and then forcing others to believe it too!

Mashari Althaydi
This was the resigned Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri’s comment on Twitter on Tuesday. Hariri’s tweet came after the first televised interview, with Future TV, after his famous resignation. It was a resignation that created big ripples in the stagnant Lebanese political waters.

During the interview, presenter Paula Yacoubian reflected on all Lebanese media claims, the cons before the pros, about the myths of Hariri’s resignation, which were ignited by Hassan Nasrallah, the Free Patriotic Movement
Despite its name a Christian party allied with Hizbullah, neither free nor particularly patriotic...
, Berri’s group and the like.

As we said in the previous article, Nasrallah’s group, and those allied with them, instead of discussing the core of Hariri’s resignation and the reason behind it, "changed" the subject to the form and place of Hariri’s resignation.

Even after Hariri’s interview with Paula Yacoubian, Lebanese media correspondents insisted on "chewing" on media illusion tablets again, questioning the news hound who interviewed the man and questioned him about most of the accusations of fictional conspiracies in the Lebanese media.

However,
the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits...
the person who spoke to the interviewer upon her return at Beirut airport insisted that Hariri was not at his house, but somewhere else and that we don’t know where this "somewhere" is! Yet the presenter swore that she interviewed Hariri at his home with his family where with the team they ate dinner at his table!

Trivial details
Imagine that we have come to this point of trivial details. All of this is an escape by Nasrallah’s team and his allies from discussing the original point of this issue. This is the point that Hariri has focused on time and time again during his interview, and that is: The fate of the Lebanese state, which some of its leaders want to accept its harmful reality. A reality that there is a state, controlled by a party or terrorist organization, killing and training killers in Yemen, Bahrain, Kuwait, al-Qatif ... and of course Syria and Iraq.

That is the question ... Hezbollah’s weapon and role in our region. The end of an era of lies and procrastination with this destructive reality. That in itself is beneficial to Lebrather than its neighbors, because it is for Leb.

The current situation is that this media delinquency in Leb, not all of it, is eye-catching. Despite all the facts and evidence before us, there is in this media someone who is running in the valleys of ignorance and illusion, spreading lies, then believing it and then forcing others to believe it too!

The reason behind Hariri’s resignation is the issue, not any other story, and this collective, emotional scramble will not do anything to change the subject.

Grace departs Zim scene for Namibia, and other briefs
[EXPRESS.CO.UK] The military has said Mugabe is “safe and sound” in custody amid reports that his powerful wife has left Zimbabwe for Namibia in the wake of the coup.

It is not clear whether Mugabe will be deposed but the main goal of the generals appears to be stopping his wife Grace from succeeding him.

Grace was being lined up to take over from her 93-year-old husband after the vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa was fired and fled in exile just over a week ago.

Army arrests G40 ‘criminals’

[NEWSDAY.CO.ZW] ZDF Major General Sibusiso Moyo in a statement on State television early yesterday morning said their aim was to target “criminals around the President” who remains in charge of the country.

Moyo is a leading figure in Zanu PF’s G40 faction that engineered Mnangagwa’s recent expulsion from both government and the ruling party on allegations of disloyalty, deceit and attempts to usurp power from Mugabe, among others.

Other key members of the G40 faction include Grace, Kasukuwere and Vice-President Phelekezela Mphoko. Mnangagwa reportedly leads a rival faction, Team Lacoste, over Mugabe’s succession. Public Service minister Patrick Zhuwao had, according to unconfirmed reports, skipped the border to Mozambique early yesterday while Mphoko was reportedly holed up out of the country.

North Korea: Trump is a coward who deserves to die
That is certainly one opinion...
[MSN] North Korea gave its version of a diplomatic verdict Wednesday on President Trump's recent trip to Asia: He's a coward who deserves to die.

Pyongyang's state media slammed Trump for insulting North Korea's leader, Kim Pudge Jong-un
...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished...
, while on a five-country tour of Asia. It said the American president, who Kim has feuded with for months, deserves the death penalty.

"The worst crime for which (Trump) can never be pardoned is that he dared (to) malignantly hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership. He should know that he is just a hideous criminal sentenced to death by the Korean people," it said.

The comments were published in an editorial in the Rodong Sinmun newspaper, a mouthpiece for Kim's ruling Workers' Party of Korea.

The paper also branded Trump a coward for canceling a visit to the heavily fortified border area that separates North and South Korea.

Trump returned to Washington on Tuesday after a tour of the region that included stops in Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines. The purpose of the trip was to discuss trade and efforts to halt North Korea's nuclear ambitions.

Trump characterized that endeavor as "tremendously successful," a description disputed by analysts who said little progress had been made on containing North Korea's nuclear program. On Saturday, Trump indirectly called Kim "short and fat" in a tweet.

"Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me "old," when I would NEVER call him "short and fat?" Trump tweeted. "Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend ‐ and maybe someday that will happen!"

#1  While this tyrant rants about our democratically elected leader and while NFL players who get paid way to much to play sports and trash our flag I saw something very real today. I saw a group of teens and 20 somethings board a buss to leave town and a group of young and old relatives standing next to the bus of every race, age and background.

As the bus pulled a way half of the relatives began wiping away tears and watched the bus fade into the distance. They knew these young people they loved had just arrived at a decision to possibly lay down thier lives to protect the flag as new military recruits.

That seen hit me as I realized THESE are our heros, and what they are doing is far more important than stupid sports.
