#2 The Muslim American Society (MAS) has been called a front for the Ikhwan al-Muslimin from its inception to the present. The MAS was founded in 1992 by the leading Egyptian brother Muhammad Mahdi Akef who personally admitted to "other Ikhwanis" his ties to the Society. Since that time, MAS has served as a center for the dissemination of Ikhwan media and propaganda material. Until it recently became more circumspect its website provided some of the most explosive material found on an American internet website. Regarding Akef, once freed from an Egyptian prison in 1976 he assumed the role of leader of Egypt's Ikhwan al-Muslimun youth activity. He spent time in Germany in the mid-nineteen eighties and then traveled to the USA. Once in America he was responsible for the publication of the Ikhwan's "Political Pluralism" and "The Woman", both of which were widely distributed in mosques.

In March 2004 Akef was named Murshid of the Muslim Brotherhood, succeeding the Egyptian Judge Mamoun el Hodeibi.

#5 Until things change in Washington, things will not change in the U.S. As you might recall CAIR was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial in Texas which involved the funding of Hamas a designated terror organization.
