#2 So a guy who made $3 a day got killed after a life of miserable poverty. I'm not sure I see the humor there.

Laugh if you have the belly for it. Or disregard if I missed the obvious sarcasm that I didn't pick up. :)

#3 Pretty sad. People here in the US do not realize how good we have it here, with care for human life built into our building codes, workplace regulations, highway safety, food safety, etc. Of course, we can bring it down on the installment plan, given the sellout our politicians have done these past years. Be warned.

Black humor, methinks. Gromky is an expat residing in China (a.k.a. Little Corner of Paradise). The PRC and Pakistan aren't much different with regards to safety.
