#1 Over in Kobane, knowing that reinforcements and resupply is rare, defenders are holding their line and allowing ISIS to attack into ambushes and spotters to call in airstrikes when contact is made. The Kurdish line is slowly moving forward but they will not over extend their capability until ISIS wears themselves down sufficiently.

#2 Looking at that photograph, do you get the feeling that Kurdish men empty the trash, cook, mop floors, and change diapers?

I also bet they don't leave their dirty clothes on the floor and they make their bed.

Frankly, we need a few more women like this around the USA and fewer of the Michele, Hillary, Barbara, or Nancy variety.

#6 Kader Ortakaya, conflicting reports on why she was shot to death at the Turkish, Kobane, Syria border by Turkish troops. Some reports for trying to expose Turkey helping ISIS cross the border, other reports are that she was part of a human chain showing support for Kobane, a third report was that she was trying to cross the border to go into Kobane without approval from Turkey.
