#1 Regimes like the Norks don't care. Power is all they care about. You could send in a dozen or so divisions along the less guarded Yalu river, but the danger there would be the display of the competency or lack of it of your military.

#5 China wants at least a little remuneration (and graft for the right officials) for propping up the NKors. Remember the "in-kind" payments back in the USSR days when they would barter Vodka for Western goods? What rational person would trust a communist regime's currency?
