#2 Yeah, something about a car with increasing velocity coming towards a police officer might give the officer the idea that the driver might need to be neutralized.

But imagine if Ta'kiya succeeded in running over the police officer. I would bet dollars to donuts we would not be seeing words such as "tragedy" and an "unfortunate loss of life".

Full disclosure, when a person is charged with murder because a cop wrecked his car during a high-speed chase, that's bullshit too...
