#1  As in "only in your dreams" could this happen.

Wait a minute, slimy American politicians are involved, so maybe this could actually happen.

'The boss' rails against 'very ugly' political climate surrounding Barack Obama

#1  Most people don't want to be taking their political direction from guys that are shaking their a– in front of 60,000 people. That's understandable.

The only thing Brucie said that I can agree with 100%.

#3  --The World is mis/disinformed as to what is happenning in this country since the MSM outlets to them are painting US opposition to O-blah-blah as loons. BS (Bruce Springsteen) only helps the lefts cause..

#4  Hey, Boss? Circumstances are like the late 70s and early 80s when your heart bled for the common man.

Where's your tunes, Dude?

#5  "Shut up and Sing"

#6  He's always been a leftie loon. Born in the USA is an antiAmerican ballad. Just ask him. Why is it we now look to entertainers for some judgement of reality? Tell him to shut up and play his guitar. But not in my house, he's not welcom~!

#7  Okay. Thank you.

#8  Everything wrong with W. over 8 years has been doubled-down in 18 months with O., these shitbirds were crying out loud but now its all cool? Feathers in the wind.

#9  Never really cared for this guy, artistically or personally. Always thought he was an overrated guthrie wannabe, not that I cared for either guthrie. He does do a great job of being a sloppily dressed millionaire...must be his attempt to identify w/the commoner since he stopped being one over 20yrs ago-- to look trashy you gotta spend a lot of money as the lyric goes.

#10  Hey, Boss? Circumstances are like the late 70s and early 80s when your heart bled for the common man.

They don't care about the common man when they get one of their utopian assholes in power to remake the common man in their image.

A good example of this would be the Sugarland song "Everyday America." Have you heard it on the radio getting airplay ever since the economy tanked and we finally got the hard times the song was complaining about?

#11  Anybody else notice the irony of the so-called "voice of the common man" being called "The Boss"?
Times are hard, boss person. I suppose, for you, that means...another exclusive deal with WalMart!

#12  There's a widespread political consciousness that's perhaps deeper in Europe than it is in the States.

So a guy that made millions portraying himself as a down to earth "American Icon" pines for a more refined - european style - "political consciousness". I do believe that might be the very definiton of a poseur.

#13  And they're falling off the cliff.

#14  "Shut up and Sing"

No. Just shut up. I don't wanna hear him sing either. Never did like his music.

#15  Shut up bruce. I don't like your music, I don't like your suit, and I can hurt you.

#16  Who cares what he thinks?
Posted by: Anguper Hupomosing9418 || 11/23/2010 14:38 Comments || Top||

#17  Who is he?

#18  The difference between Dylan and Springsteen is that Dylan was always fairly open about how full of shit he was, and he was cool about it.

Same with Alice Cooper, come to think about it. Wonder if artists with that sort of attitude tend to get radio shows in their later years, or just tend to gravitate towards that sort of thing?

#19  Bruce has been a tool from way back.
I always hated his 'common man' shtick
Posted by: Mike Hunt || 11/23/2010 16:23 Comments || Top||

#20  Since he's (supposedly) supposed to be the voice of the common working man, how come he's called "The Boss" instead of "The Union Steward"?

And I never liked his "music" either.
Posted by: Barbara Skolaut || 11/23/2010 19:14 Comments || Top||

#21  a few years back in Denver at Mile High Stadium, Bruce performed and insisted that he have only union stagehands. In order to do this the regular stagehands that worked the venue had to step aside, losing alot of money.

#22  At the very Least, "the boss" was over-taken by events (OBE) two decades ago; just about the time "HE" started to devolve into the "oppressed S. Jersey working stiff (Read " Under-employed Horse Track Gopher). bruce & 0bambi deserve each other. Both cut from the same bolt of cheesecloth.
