[Mirror] A prisoner at the notorious Guantanamo Bay detention camp has his own online dating profile - and says he's 'detained but ready to mingle'.
Incarcerated in the prison known as 'Gitmo' since 2007, Muhammad Rahim al-Afghani is seeking a soulmate on Match, com.
And the account, which is looked after by al-Afghani's lawyer Carlos Warner, gets matched with a lucky lady on a daily basis.
The details of al-Afghani's look-out for love have come out in letters the so-called "high value" prisoner sent to Warner, and they show a man with a sense of humour.
"This is terrible news about Ashley Madison, please remove my profile immediately!!!' al-Afghani joked in a letter from July 21.
"I'll stick with Match.com even though you say it is for old people. There is no way I can do Tinder in here."

Guantanamo sounds like a hellhole, with their satellite tv, access to computers and such. I wouldn't doubt them using that site to connect with old friends.

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Taliban group has claimed that the family members of Mullah Mohammad Omar -- the group's founder and former supreme leader, have pledged allegiance to the newly appointed Taliban group chief Mullah Akhtar Mansoor.
The group issued a statement this afternoon claiming that Mullah Omar ... a minor Pashtun commander in the war against the Soviets who made good as leader of the Taliban. As ruler of Afghanistan, he took the title Leader of the Faithful. The imposition of Pashtunkhwa on the nation institutionalized ignorance and brutality in a country already notable for its own fair share of ignorance and brutality... 's brother Mullah Abdul Manan Akhunda and his son Maulavi Mohammad Yaqoob pledged allegiance during a meeting attended by the religious holy mans and senior Taliban leaders.
The circumstances surrounding the decision by Mullah Omar's family members to pledge allegiance to Mullah Mansoor is not clear so far.
Mullah Manan had earlier opposed with the election of Mullah Mansour as the replacement supreme leader of Taliban and had warned last month of internal fighting within the group should the differences among the Taliban leadership are not resolved.
He wanted Maulavi Yaqoob to succeed his father as the supreme leader of Taliban insisting that Mullah Mansoor was not elected by majority of Taliban's central Shura 'council'.
However, if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well... the Taliban group said the family members of Mullah Omar delayed the announcement of allegiance to Mullah Mansoor considering the interests of the group and rejected that the delay was caused due to rift among the Taliban leadership.
This comes as Maulavi Yaqoob issued an audio statement earlier this week warning that he is prepared to carry out a suicide kaboom amid rift among the Taliban leadership following the death of the group's found and Supreme Leader Mullah Mohammad Omar.
Without claiming the leadership, Maulavi Yaqoob said his father had not appointed a successor for the group. "If unity can return with my death, I am willing to carry out suicide," he said.

[DAWN] Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz ...Adviser to Pak Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on National Security and Foreign Affairs, who believes in good jihadis and bad jihadis as a matter of national policy... on Tuesday informed the Senate that efforts were being made for resumption of reconciliation talks between the Afghan Taliban and the Afghan government.
The adviser said the announcement about Mullah Omar ... a minor Pashtun commander in the war against the Soviets who made good as leader of the Taliban. As ruler of Afghanistan, he took the title Leader of the Faithful. The imposition of Pashtunkhwa on the nation institutionalized ignorance and brutality in a country already notable for its own fair share of ignorance and brutality... 's death had caused suspension of the talks. He stated that now Mullah Omar's son, Mullah Yaqoob, had himself confirmed that his father had never left Afghanistan, died of tuberculosis and hepatitis and was buried in Afghanistan.
"Mullah Omar's son has confirmed that his father had died and was buried in Afghanistan," said the adviser.
Aziz also strongly rejected reports that Mullah Omar had died in Pakistain and termed them baseless.
Responding to a question regarding the resumption of the stalled dialogue process, Aziz said it now depends on the Afghan government, and they can resume the process if they are willing to.
Earlier in July, the leadership of the Afghan Taliban had disassociated itself from a process Pakistain had been facilitating to encourage the group's dialogue with the government of Afghanistan for peace and reconciliation.
Pakistain's role in facilitating the reconciliation process has always been considered as crucial. But Pak officials have all along been cautioning about the limits of their influence on the Taliban.

[Libya Herald] Prime Minister Abdullah Thinni was prevented by security officials at Labraq airport this morning from catching a flight to Malta, the Libya Herald has been told.
Sources at the airport say the officials were carrying out orders from top military figures, seen as a reference to General Khalifa Hafter.
Although there has been no statement about the incident, an official in Malta has confirmed that Thinni was due to fly there today.
This is not the first time that he has been stopped from catching a plane. In July last year, he was stopped by the one of the militias controlling Mitiga Airport from flying to Tobruk.

[Libya Herald] The London-based attorney for Libya's former prime minister Al-Baghdadi Al-Mahmoudi says he is investigating reports that his client and others face execution on Thursday.
Karim Khan who represents Mahmoudi in his continuing bid to have his case considered by the International Criminal Court ... where Milosevich died of old age before being convicted ... , said he is seeking assurances from the Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... authorities that his client is safe.
"We have received the latest news of imminent executions with obvious alarm and deep concern. We are trying to investigate whether these stories are accurate and whether the authorities in Tripoli have indeed decided to execute Dr Baghdadi Al-Mahmoudi and others," said Khan. "Execution without due process is murder and nothing less."
In July, Mahmoudi and other former Qadaffy-era officials, including former intelligence chief Abdullah Senussi, were sentenced to death by a court sitting in Hadba prison in Tripoli.
Officials of the internationally-recognised government, operating in Beida, says it does not legitimise the Tripoli proceedings, noting the city and court are controlled by Libya Dawn ...aka Fajr Libya, the Islamist operation launched to counter that of General Khalifa Haftar (Operation Dignity). It is made up of the Libya Shield militia (Misrata and Moslem Brotherhood), Libya Revolutionaries Operations Room (Moslem Brotherhood), and Tripoli Brigade (close to Abdul Hakim Belhaj, head of Al-Watan party). Financing and moral support come from Turkey and Qatar... militias.
Media reports from Tripoli also mention the possibility of an execution on Thursday, although when the original death sentences were announced in Tripoli, it was specified that a higher court had to confirm to them, and also that there could first be an appeal against the sentences.
The news comes as a military court run by militias in Misrata, also part of Libya Dawn, announced that a cousin of Qadaffy, Said Qaddaf Al-Dam, had been found not guilty of a charge of exploiting state armed forces for political aims.
He is the cousin of Ahmed Qaddaf Al-Dam, who fled Libya in the 2011 uprising and who is now resident in Egypt.

[Iran Press TV] Another member of the scandal-ridden UN peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic (CAR) has been accused of sexual exploitation, bringing the total number of such cases to 17.
"The United Nations ...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks... Office of Internal Oversight Services has immediately taken steps to investigate this case, consistent with the secretary general's zero-tolerance policy on sexual exploitation and abuse," said UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric on Tuesday.
A young woman came forward on Saturday with allegations dating back to around six months ago, a spokeswoman for the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) said.
The authorities of the unidentified man's country have been informed and he "remains in the country and will not be allowed to leave for the time being," said Dujarric.
Based on UN regulations, member states are responsible for investigating and prosecuting their troops accused of crimes while serving with UN forces.
According to a UN statement, the mission in CAR is currently dealing with 17 allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse by UN personnel, "Of these 17 cases, 13 involve allegations against our military, one involves allegations against our police, one case is against a civilian, and in two cases, the perpetrator's status is unknown."

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Gulf monarchies Tuesday called on the international community to take greater responsibility in aiding Syrian refugees after the oil-flush states came under fire for not taking in enough people fleeing war.
The foreign ministers of the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), after a meeting in Riyadh, called for a political solution in Syria as part of a worldwide effort to tackle the refugee crisis.
A statement called on "the international community to assume its responsibilities to help Syrian refugees."
Hundreds of thousands of refugees, the majority escaping Syria's civil war, have fled to Europe this year, posing EU leaders with the continent's biggest influx of migrants since World War II.
As EU ministers squabble over solutions to the crisis, Gulf countries have come under fire for not taking their fair share of refugees.
The GCC statement said the countries had accommodated "Syrian brothers, who are treated like residents and benefit from free healthcare, education and the right to work" since Syria's war began in March 2011.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Mahmudul Hasan passed the order after Enamul was produced in court and shown tossed in the clink Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up! in a case lodged over the raid of Al Madrasatul Abu Bakar, the ideological training centre of new bad boy outfit Shaheed Hamza Brigade (SHB), in Hathazari upazila, said Prosecutor Abul Hashem.
Rapid Action Battalion 7 (RAB 7) raided the Hamza Brigade's ideological training centre on February 19, and then busted the outfit's military training centre two days later on February 21. The elite force discovered the bad boy outfit's explosives warehouse on February 29.
Enamul, director of Golden Touch Apparels in the capital's Turag area, was nabbed from his workplace by RAB 7 on September 5, after the elite force discovered that he had deposited money into the bank account of Hamza Brigade leader Moniruzzaman Masud alias Don.
On September 10, Enamul made a statement under section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) in a case lodged under the Anti-Terrorism Act with Banshkhali cop shoppe over the raid of a Hamza Brigade military camp on February 21.
He was later remanded for three days after being shown arrested in the Banshkhali case.
Hamza Brigade members Harunur Rashid, Md Asadullah, Mostakim Billah and Mohammad Yusuf, who were sent on three days' remand, on Sunday made statements under section 164 of the CrPC before the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Shahidullah Kaisar in the Hathazari case.

RAB 7 also found links between the Hamza Brigade and Dubai citizen Allama Libdi, with evidence that Libdi visited Bangladesh several times to give cash to the bad boy outfit.
RAB 7 nabbed 29 Hamza Brigade members and four alleged financiers. But RAB sources said the outfit's kingpin was still on the run.

[Dhaka Tribune] BNP Chairperson the loathesome Khaleda Zia Three-term PM of Bangla, widow of deceased dictator Ziaur Rahman, head of the Bangla Nationalist Party, an apparent magnet for corruption ... left Dhaka for London yesterday for treatment.
An Emirates Airlines flight carrying Khaleda left Shahjalal airport at 9:30pm while hundreds of leaders waved their hands outside the airport, said Shamsuddin Didar, an official of Khaleda's press wing.
Khaleda was accompanied by her younger brother Shamim Eskander and his wife Kaniz Fatema; her Personal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar and house maid Fatema Akhter.
This is Khaleda's second visit to the UK after 2006. She is likely to spend Eid-ul-Adha with her family members in London.
Khaleda's elder son Tarique Rahman ...the elder son of former President of Bangladesh Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam, and Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh. He is the Senior Vice Chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). His nickname is Pino. There are allegations that Pino took a rakeoff from every foreign investment into the country while Mom was in office... has now been living in London with his family members since 2007. He is facing a number of graft and criminal cases.
Khaleda and Tarique met last year when she went to Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... for Umrah.
This will be their first meeting since Khaleda's younger son Arafat Rahman Coco died of cardiac arrest in January this year.
Khaleda was supposed to meet Tarique in Saudi Arabia for Umrah during the last Ramadan but the reunion fell through as she had cancelled the visit in the last moment.
A number of BNP leaders said Coco's wife Sharmila Rahman Sithi and her two daughters Jahiya Rahman and Jaisa Rahman were likely to fly to London from Thailand to spend the Eid together.

As the Instapundit says, Nobel Peace Prize Update...
SEOUL — North Korea announced Tuesday that it has restarted its Yongbyon nuclear reactor and was ready to use nuclear weapons “any time” against the United States. The announcement came less than a day after North Korea said it was preparing to launch a long-range rocket.
All of the nuclear facilities at Yongbyon, including a uranium-enrichment plant and five-megawatt reactor, are now in “normal operation," the unidentified director of North Korea’s Atomic Energy Institute said, according to a report published Tuesday by the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
Yongbyon is the reactor the Norks have closed. Several times. And always reopened...
North Korean scientists have been “steadily improving the levels of nuclear weapons with various missions in quality and quantity as required by the prevailing situation,” the report said, adding that North Korea is ready to face American hostility with "nuclear weapons any time.”
Analysts William Mugford and Jack Liu, writing last week on 38 North, a respected Web site devoted to North Korea, said that recent commercial satellite imagery indicated new activity was underway at the five-megawatt reactor and at a radiochemical laboratory complex at Yongbyon. Both are key to the production of plutonium for building nuclear weapons.
“While international attention has recently been focused on North Korea’s Sohae satellite launching station and the possibility of a fourth long-range rocket test . . . developments at Yongbyon are cause for concern and should be monitored closely by the international community to determine their purpose,” they wrote. Yongbyon is thought to be the source of the plutonium used in North Korea’s nuclear tests, as well as the site of a uranium-enrichment facility.
The Yongbyon reactor was shut down in 2007 in a deal brokered through “six-party” talks involving the United States, China, Russia, Japan and the two Koreas. However, after North Korea conducted its third nuclear test in February 2013, it threatened to restart the reactor. In Tuesday’s report, North Korea said it had indeed restarted its main nuclear facility at that time.
On Monday, North Korea said it was preparing to launch a long-range rocket for space research, a provocative move that would be seen by the outside world as a part of its efforts to test an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of hitting the U.S. mainland.
The National Aerospace Development Administration said it was “pushing forward in the final phase the development of a new earth observation satellite for weather forecast.”
You guys could just turn to the Weather Channel...
“The world will clearly see a series of satellites of [North] Korea soaring into the sky at the times and locations determined by the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea,” KCNA quoted the director of the agency as saying.
North Korea has previously launched “rockets” as part of its ostensible space program and it denies contravening any international missile bans by doing so.
“Space development for peaceful purposes is a sovereign state’s legitimate right recognized by international law, and the party and the people of [North Korea] are fully determined to exercise this right no matter what others may say about it,” the report said.
But the tests are widely viewed as part of a missile-testing program. If carried out, they would spark new tensions on the peninsula just weeks after North Korea threatened military action against the South.
Tension with who? Champ? He doesn't care...
That standoff was resolved with a deal in which the North promised not to stage any more provocations, and the South warned it would restart anti-North propaganda broadcasts in the event of an “abnormal” provocation.
South Korean government officials have declined to say whether a missile launch would count as “abnormal,” suggesting it would depend on which way the rocket was heading.
In a report to the National Assembly last week, South Korea’s Defense Ministry said satellite imagery showed that North Korea had completed building a 220-foot-tall tower at its Sohae rocket launch facility in Dongchang-ri, on the west coast not far from the border with the South. A tower of that size could be used to launch long-range missiles twice the size of the nearly 100-foot Unha-3 that supposedly was launched into orbit in December 2012, the South’s Yonhap News Agency reported.
In Washington, State Department spokesman John Kirby said the department was aware of North Korea’s statements and that any launch using ballistic missile technology would be “a clear violation” of international resolutions.

I look for the Norks to start supplying the Iranians with the enriched product they need to violate the Obama/Kerry deal. The only people who liked this deal are the Donks and many of them didn't like it either--they just held their noses and voted for the Obama/Kerry deal. See the following for a summary of the deal.
[IraqiNews] Baghdad- Lebanese Education Minister, Elias Abu Saab announced on Tuesday, that elements of ISIS infiltrated into the European continent by claiming the status of Syrian refugees, which threatens the old continent in the coming days.
The British newspaper "The Telegraph" quoted Abu Saab, as saying: "fundamentalists rate may be up to 2% of the refugees, which means 1 person within every 50 refugees may be a member within the armed organizations such as ISIS or Al-Nusra Front."
That's fine when there's only fifty. But Germany expects a million this year...
Abu Saab added that "he does not have specific information or cases of bad boy elements who had infiltrated into the European continent, but this could occur."

1 person within every 50 refugees may be a member within the armed organizations such as ISIS or Al-Nusra Front.
And 10 more will join when they see how helpless/gullible European are.

The Saudis are not keen on taking these refugees. Why should the West get their panties in a knot about taking them. Given the failure of our efforts at border control, I don't have much faith in the government being able to sort out the chaff from the wheat. If one takes the position that Islam is not compatible with Western values, the problem becomes easier.

And how many muslims has Obama brought into the US? In 2013 alone it was 300,000. Anyone notice a decided recent uptick in arrests for domestic support for islamic terrorism? Dice anyone?

IIRC, as per the TELEGRAPH.UK + GUARDIAN.UK the Brits are now worried that circa 20,000-40,000 displaced Muslim Refugees-Migrants whom had already entered their Country are in reality disguised MilTerrs covertly linked to the ISIS or other Hard Boyz, or else are dedicated Wannabes = Jihadists-in-Training.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel rejected the notion that Germany's welcoming actions encouraged yet more migrants to set off toward Europe. She said that the decision to let in migrants who had piled up in Hungary was right especially amid the rejection they had been facing in Hungary. Hungary was in full compliance with all international agreements. The 'refugees' were received and had the opportunity to be registered, sheltered and fed. And they were of course safe from any war. Hungary isn't ripe for an Islamic takedown. That's why the stormtroopers refugees didn't stay...
"If we start having to apologize for showing a friendly face in emergencies, then that isn't my country," Merkel said while referring to images that went around the world of ordinary Germans welcoming people to stations in Munich and elsewhere in Germany earlier this month. There was no emergency. The 'refugees' just refused to obey European laws. They would have been given shelter in Hungary, which they rejected.
Merkel didn't show a 'friendly face'. The global audience saw her as a representative of Germany and Europe. She pushed a complex system into a zone in phase space where strong positive feedback would induce a chaotic breakdown.
Merkel is either malicious or a German Missus Bean. Both alternatives are reason enough for resignation.
She added that it was also natural then to consider how to manage the situation to ensure proper registration of newcomers. Angela E Neuman doesn't worry.

As been pointed out many times here, Merkel 'ist Ost Deutscher / die Deutsche Rüssen' who likely has no problem with inflicting maximum pain & destruction on the oppressive capitalist patriarchy of the West, and is doing a damn fine job of doing just that.
#2
Merkel grew up in a pro regime family. Her family moved from West to East Germany in 1954 because her father and perhaps her mother supported the regime.
This biography is very untypical for East Germans.
She's the red diaper baby with the reddest diapers possible.
None of this would matter if her political conduct was less erratic, and didn't seem consistent with her past.

What I don't understand is why Obama is talking about bringing in 100,000 "refugees". They can't swim here, so they will have to be airlifted. Yet, Saudi Arabia, which has thousands of air conditioned tents available, is not a viable destination because the "refugees" would have to travel through the desert in Syria, Iraq and Jordan.

[ALMANAR.LB] Germany, Austria and Slovakia on Tuesday called for a special European summit next week on the migrant crisis, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel ...current chancellor of Germany. She was educated in East Germany when is was still run by commies, but in 1989 got involved with the growing democracy movement when the Berlin Wall fell. Merkel is sometimes referred to by Germans as Mom... warning that "time is running out". "Good intentions, meet real life."
Merkel said she and Austrian counterpart Werner Faymann had proposed the extraordinary meeting in a phone call with EU president Donald Tusk.
"It is a problem for the entire European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... and therefore we argued for a special EU summit to be held next week," she said at a joint presser with Faymann, adding that "Donald Tusk will look into that".
"Time is running out, we cannot wait until mid-October," when the next regular EU summit is scheduled, she said.

HORGOS, Serbia -- Hungary stiffened its resistance on Tuesday to an influx of migrants from Serbia, while more people drowned trying to reach Europe by boat and diplomats kept struggling to address the Continent’s refugee crisis.
The Hungarians are not equipped to handle this situation. They have a long history of being occupied one way or another and don't like the implications of hundreds of thousands of people using their country as a transit station.
The Hungarian authorities declared a state of crisis along the border with Serbia, detaining at least 155 migrants and threatening to prosecute and imprison others who try to enter illegally. Serbia reacted with alarm; its foreign minister, Ivica Dacic, called the turning back of migrants to Serbia “unacceptable,” Reuters reported.
The Serbs don't want the refugees either. Funny that...
Under new laws that took effect in Hungary at midnight, migrants who try to breach the 109-mile fence made out of razor wire being constructed along Hungary’s border with Serbia face arrest and criminal charges. Officials also threatened to imprison anyone who damages the barrier.
Zoltan Kovacs, a spokesman for Prime Minister Viktor Orban, said Hungary was setting up a “transit zone” along the border with Serbia, where arriving migrants would be stopped before officially entering Hungary. Only those who have already applied for asylum would be allowed through; the others would be turned back to Serbia. The zone appeared to be a way to get around rules limiting the number of people Hungary could deport to Serbia each day.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Hungary said 48 migrants in the transit zone had applied for asylum, with 13 rejected and the rest under review — a tiny fraction of the number of migrants at the border.
Hungarian officials said they were preparing to erect a fence along the country’s eastern border with Romania that would be similar to the one on the Serbian border.
Speaking from the border village of Horgos, Serbia’s labor minister, Aleksandar Vulin, told the Serbian broadcaster B92 that the situation could “spiral out of control.” He called for Hungary to open the border and for refugees to be allowed to seek asylum in Hungary. He said that migrants were arriving from all directions and that 1,000 were stranded “in no man’s land.”
Mr. Vulin said Serbia would provide food, water and transportation to temporary shelters, but he added that the crisis could not be solved without Hungary’s cooperation.
Migrants stuck at the border threatened on Tuesday to conduct a hunger strike. About 200 migrants chanted “Open, open, open!” and “Germany! Germany!”
Andrea Merkel opened Pandora's box. Now she has to pay and she's not happy.
Hungary said that it would post officers every 35 meters, or about 115 feet, along the entire border, and that they would arrest anyone trying to cross illegally. Scores of judges have been deployed to expedite legal proceedings against migrants charged with breaking the law.
The Hungarian restrictions were beginning to have an effect on other countries. The Austrian authorities said they were preparing for the likelihood that migrants would seek to bypass Hungary and enter Austria via Croatia and then Slovenia. The Austrian Army was set to deploy 2,200 soldiers to patrol the borders, primarily in the eastern state of Burgenland, which borders Hungary and shares short borders with Slovenia and Slovakia.

[Hurriyet Daily News] A deputy from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... 's Justice and Development Party (AKP) who gave a fiery ...a single two-syllable word carrying connotations of both incoherence and viciousness. A fiery delivery implies an audience of rubes and yokels, preferably forming up into a mob... speech to a group of protesters attacking daily Hurriyet's headquarters in Istanbul on Sept. 6 is seen threatening Hurriyet journalists and expressing his regret that they "never beat them in the past" in a newly-surfaced video.
"They had never had a beating before. Our mistake was that we never beat them in the past. If we had beaten them..." AKP's Istanbul deputy and youth organization head Abdurrahim Boynukalin said in the video, mocking Hurriyet Editor-in-Chief Sedat Ergin and columnist Ahmet Hakan for their reactions as approximately 200 assailants smashed the newspaper building's front windows with stones and clubs.
He also reveals in the video that he mulled over waiting for Hakan in front of his house to "pull him over."

[Hurriyet Daily News] Thai authorities have not given any information over claims that a key suspect in the plotting of last month's deadly bombing in Bangkok was last tracked via multiple flights to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... , Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tanju Bilgic said Sept. 15.
Thai police stated that a man said to have played a leadership role in the bombing fled to Bangladesh using a Chinese passport on the eve of the blast and two weeks later stopped in New Delhi and Abu Dhabi on his way to Istanbul.
Thailand's Turkish embassy sent a note to the foreign ministry about the claims, but could not receive any information, Bilgic said. Turkey would launch an investigation if Thai authorities informed Ankara about the allegations, he added.
No group has grabbed credit for the Aug. 17 bombing at the Erawan Hindu shrine, which killed 20 people, including 14 foreigners, among them seven from Hong Kong and mainland China.
An arrest warrant has been issued for a man using the name Abu Dustar Abdulrahman, alias Izan, and circulated via Interpol.
In Kuala Lumpur, police said two Malaysians and a Pak national had been placed in durance vile I ain't sayin' nuttin' widdout me mout'piece! and were assisting in the investigation.
Thai visas were issued separately in Kuala Lumpur to men using the names Abu Dustar Abdulrahman and Yusufu Mieraili.
Both had applied using Chinese passports, which has led to speculation the bombing may have been Dire Revenge by sympathizers of Uighur Moslems, many of which seek passage to Turkey via Thailand.

[Hurriyet Daily News] The President’s Office has dismissed growing criticism of a police raid on a Turkish magazine over its cover bearing a montage picture of a smiling President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan taking a “selfie” in front of the coffin of a soldier, claiming that “insults” cannot be considered part of freedom of expression.
“It is never possible to consider insulting the presidential office within freedom of expression,” Presidency Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın told reporters at a press conference on Sept. 15 in response to questions concerning the raid on the magazine on Sept. 14.
“Attacking the presidential office to score small political goals with small political estimations is not politics. Trying to become the center of attention by attacking the presidency and our president’s personality and his family is not journalism. It is often just common activism or militarism,” Kalın added.
According to the presidential spokesperson, “there is a vibrant environment of debate in Turkey” and “all kinds of views can be voiced comfortably.”

[NYTimes] "There's a scorpion in the desert,'' an announcer says in the Cruz ad, as the camera shows various angles of the insect and its hooked stinger.
"For most of us, its venom is a clear and deadly threat," the announcer continues. "But others refuse to even speak its name. Since the scorpion seeks our destruction, isn't it time we recognize the scorpion for what it is before it strikes again?''

Good metaphor for the Islamic threat to the U.S. Unfortunately, those in this administration have have been mum. They are too afraid to identify the threat. Worse, they are likely a part of a fifth column effort.
Great pic. We'll add this to the Burg collection; I think it'll be used...
[Rudaw] Kurdish President Masoud Barzani and Leader of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) Salih Moslem held a meeting in Erbil Tuesday to discuss the latest war efforts against the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS).
US Deputy Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIS Brett McGurk broke the news of the meeting on twitter.
"Important meetings today in Erbil w/President Masud Barzani & PYD's on combined efforts against ISIL," said McGurk on his twitter account.
PYD's armed wing the Peoples Protection Units (YPG) have been effectively fighting ISIS across the Kurdish areas of Syria (Rojava), most notably in Kobani and Hasakah.
It is believed that most coalition Arclight airstrikes against ISIS in Rojava are coordinated through the main coalition and Peshmerga headquarters in Erbil.
Moslem was in the Kurdistan Region last October where he signed an agreement with other Syrian Kurdish groups in Duhok to coordinate their operations against ISIS.
Also in a separate tweet McGurk reported that US Lieutenant General James L. Terry had held a meeting with Barzani on the "ongoing Peshmerga ops [operations] against ISIL terrorists,"
[ALMANAR.LB] Well, we'd certainly not want to see violence in the Mideast...
No worries. Non-violations of Al Aqsa could ignite Mideast violence just as easily, and frequently do.

Now, when "refugee crisis" disturbs Western complacency, somebody has to take the blame---why not Jews? I mean, what are they going to do---blow up a bunch of Europeans?
Good read - some of which may be fog and bullshit
[McClatchyDC] KILLIS, Turkey The 15 Chechens looking to cross the border from Turkey to Syria didn't strike Abdullah as particularly important or unusual.
It was early summer in 2012, and as a smuggler based in the Turkish border town of Killis, Abdullah, who'd fled his home village in Syria because of fighting on the outskirts of Aleppo, was used to secretive groups of foreigners â journalists, aid workers and many recently aspiring jihadists â hiring him to cross Turkish military lines at the border while avoiding what was then still a significant Syrian government presence in northern Syrian.
"In 2012, everyone was coming to Syria and we had too much work leading all kinds of people across the border," he explained over lunch in Killis, a Turkish town just a few miles from the rebel-held Syrian city of Azzaz. "A lot were Muslims who had come to support the revolution against Bashar Assad from every country. So many from Europe, Russia, Germany, France. . . ."
The 15 men had reached Abdullah through a network of contacts that were funneling new fighters to northern Syria, and Abdullah recalled they said they were going to Syria to assist in the fight against Assad. They were quiet, disciplined and for the most part spoke only a bit of crude formal Arabic.
Only later did Abdullah realize that the network that funneled these men to him was the beginnings of the Islamic State, and that one of the 15 would turn out to be the most important non-Arab figure in the Islamic State hierarchy, a former American-trained noncommissioned officer in the special forces of the nation of Georgia, who'd led his men heroically during the 2008 Russian invasion of his homeland.

So, trained at least a decade before for a different mission far away, which he had fulfilled admirably. Then recently he decided to turn his skills toward jihad --mnot at home, mind you, but in Syria. Unless the rest of those we trained there and then did the same, I don't see how America is at fault.

[Hurriyet Daily News] About 250 Syrian migrants have attempted to walk to Pazarkule border gate in the northwestern province of Edirne in the hope of reaching Germany via Greece amid intervention by security forces.
Some 3,000 Syrian migrants connected through the Internet and came from various provinces across the country, arriving in Edirne with rented buses and private vehicles. Upon notice of their arrival, police and gendarmerie forces blocked their way to the city in compliance with a notice issued by the Interior Ministry.
However, facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable... about 250 migrants succeeded in reaching Edirne on foot and gathered at the city's main bus terminal where they staged a sit-in protest. Security forces convinced a hundred migrants to return to Istanbul while the rest remained in the bus terminal.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Kremlin front man Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that dialogue between Moscow and Washington on solving the Syria crisis was indispensable.
Peskov made the comments when asked whether talks on Syria were possible between Russian President Vladimir Putin ...Second and fourth President and sixth of the Russian Federation and the first to remain sober. Putin is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from polonium poisoning. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to Putin. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead... and U.S. President Barack Obama I am not a dictator!... .
However, a hangover is the wrath of grapes... Putin also said on Tuesday that it's impossible to defeat the faceless myrmidons from the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. A terror organization has to raise funds somehow, and ransom is even easier than selling slaves, not to mention being an ancient tradition. Did not Saladin himself hold Richard the Lionhart for literally a king's ransom?
[Rudaw] Kurdish families have made hundreds of thousands of dollars in ransom payments to bring back their young men who joined the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group (ISIS) in Syria, a Kurdish religious affairs official said.
The payoffs have been made to local mediators who have assisted families find sons across ISIS territories and bring them back to their parents, he said.
"We have had families who've paid $170,000 for the return of their loved ones," said Mariwan Naqshbandi at the Kurdistan Ministry of Religious Affairs.
He added that Kurdish intelligence services are closely involved in the process and helping families locate loved ones. According to him, more than 1,000 Kurds have joined ISIS since 2012, nearly half of them from the Kurdistan region. But the number has shrunk since then.
"We know that around 250 Iraqi Kurds have been killed within ISIS ranks and over 100 more have come back to their families," Naqshbandi told Rudaw, explaining he based his numbers on information provided by Kurdish families.
He said ISIS often informs relatives if their boys die in fighting.
Last week, a former Kurdish minister reportedly paid $100,000 to mediators for the return of his young son. The young man, who joined ISIS in April this year, surrendered to the Peshmerga forces in the Sultan Abdulla area, after agreements were reached. One Kurdish officer told Rudaw the young Kurd had an older brother who is a lieutenant with the Peshmarga troops and is currently fighting ISIS.
More than 1,200 Peshmerga troops have been killed in festivities since August last year, when ISIS attacked Kurdish areas in Iraq, according to the Peshmerga ministry.
Kurds who return after fighting alongside ISIS are held and questioned by authorities before they are turned over to their families, to ensure they pose no threat to their communities. In most cases, entire families are involved in the process, with written guarantees and verifications.
djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... 's exiled governor Atheel Nujafi told Rudaw earlier that around 200 Kurdish holy warriors are still with ISIS and being trained in the Syrian stronghold of Raqqa to defend Mosul against an expected offensive by Iraqi and coalition forces.
The director of Kurdish security forces in Kirkuk, ... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time... Halo Najat, told Rudaw some recruits had joined ISIS together with their entire families and had moved to ISIS-controlled territories.
"We know that at least 10 Kurdish people from Kirkuk have joined the holy warriors, with three of them now confirmed dead," Najat said.
Over 80,000 Kurdish Peshmerga forces patrol a long border of some 1,600 kilometers shared with the Islamic State.
Nearly all Kurdish towns have been recaptured from the holy warriors, including Saadiya, Jalawla and most parts of the Yezidi town of Shingal. But ISIS still controls many Kurdish villages south of Kirkuk and in Nineveh province, which it uses as military bases to shell nearby Kurdish positions.
Last week, 13 villages south of Kirkuk, most of them already deserted, were recaptured by Peshmerga forces.
Most refugees refuse to return to their areas for fear of landmines planted by ISIS. One Peshmerga was killed by a landmine in an operation in Kirkuk last week.
