[FoxNews] At least seven people have been taken to the hospital after fentanyl was discovered in the air ventilation system of an Ohio juvenile detention facility, forcing an evacuation.
Multiple ambulances and emergency personnel responded to dispatch calls at the Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention Training and Rehabilitation Center in Stryker after several victims began collapsing for an unknown reason, WTOL reported.
It was later discovered that fentanyl was being spread throughout the facility via the air conditioning, affecting four juveniles and three corrections officers, Williams County Sheriff's Deputy Jeff Lehman told the outlet.
The remaining inmates were escorted out of the facility and are being held in the neighboring adult detention facility, separate from adults, officials said.
It is not immediately known how the narcotic was released.
The victims are stable and are expected to recover, WTVG reported.

[NYPOST] A Florida woman who was released on a $120 bond after plowing an SUV into a playground and killing a 4-year-old girl is now being held without bail, according to reports.
Kiara Morant, 18, was initially released on the paltry bond after being charged with driving without a license when her Jeep Cherokee barreled into a daycare center playground Wednesday.
After Morant was sprung, one of the children she allegedly struck died — prompting cops to upgrade charges to felony counts of driving without a license resulting in serious injury or death, WWSB-TV reported.
She surrendered to Fort Myers police, who had issued a warrant for her arrest.
Police said the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Arcadia when Morant allegedly lost control of the SUV and drove through a chain-link fence at the daycare.
The 4-year-old, identified as Maleena Valdez, later died from her injuries, while a 5-year-old girl remains at death's door.

[Oxygen] A Chicago judge has allowed a defamation lawsuit filed against Jussie Smollett's defense lawyer Tina Glandian to proceed.
A judge in Chicago has ruled that an attorney for Jussie Smollett might have defamed two Black brothers who testified that they participated in a fake racist and homophobic attack on the actor when she suggested they had been wearing "whiteface."
The Chicago Tribune reported that U.S. District Judge Mary Rowland's ruling centers on comments Tina Glandian made on NBC's "Today" show in March 2019, shortly after the Cook County State's Attorney announced it was dropping charges accusing Smollett of lying to police about the incident two months earlier.
Discussing how Smollett had told police that one of his attackers was white, Glandian said the very dark-skinned brothers might have "put makeup on" to disguise their color. [NYP] A hit-and-run driver doing donuts on a Manhattan street was captured on video slamming into a bystander who appeared to be trying to film the reckless act over the weekend, police said.
The victim, a 23-year-old man, was struck by the red Infiniti Sedan just after midnight on Saturday as the driver drifted in circles for a large crowd near Vandam Street and Greenwich Street in Hudson Square, according to police.
Police said the victim was critically injured — suffering a fractured skull, brain injury and severe trauma to the body.
Video of the incident shared by the NYPD shows two men first walking towards the spinning car to record the spectacle from up close with their cell phones.

The Aerorozvidka specialist air reconnaissance unit operates drones modified with thermal cameras to see Russian military vehicles like tanks and command trucks at night, The Times of London reported on Friday. The drones have been modified to drop anti-tank grenades on targets, per the newspaper.
"If we use a drone with thermal vision at night, the drone must connect through Starlink to the artillery guy and create target acquisition," an Aerorozvidka leader told The Times of London.

[Yahoo] US officials have hit back at a Russian fake media report that claimed three American soldiers had been killed in Ukraine, saying that the men are alive and well back in Tennessee.
Russian state-run newspaper Pravda falsely reported on Thursday that three "US mercenaries" — named as current or former Tennessee National Guard members Captain Michael Hawker, Lieutenant Logan Shrum and Lieutenant Cruz Toblin — had been killed while fighting in Ukraine.
The article, which said the information had come from the pro-Russian militia in the Donetsk region, claimed the men were identified by personal belongings found in a backpack "near the remains of one of the murderous Moslems", including a Tennessee state flag.

Putin in committing some of his most reliable troops to take Mariupol, including the Dzerzhinsky divisions and both FSB and GRU spetznatz units. One of their duties is to make sure no one tells Putin to pound sand.
If someone can figure out how to get to the rocket artillery, there might be a chance. Otherwise figure on tens, if not hundreds of thousands of deaths.
P.S. Many Russian posts on this site have stated that all members of the Azov regiment will be executed "after interrogation" (i.e. torture). Don't expect many of them to surrender.

Komuk, who is normally based in Tel Aviv where she runs a bridal shop, tells the news outlet that Russians first arrested her parents, who run a local newspaper, along with other journalists. She says about an hour later Russian soldiers came to her home.

British volunteer fighters are feared to have triggered a deadly airstrike on a Ukrainian military base after their phones were detected in the area, the Telegraph can reveal.
At least 35 people were killed, potentially including three British ex-special forces troops, when 30 Russian cruise missiles pulverised the Yavoriv facility, near the Polish border, on March 13.
The target on the base is believed to have been the International Centre for Peacekeeping and Security, where Ukraine has been training foreign civilian recruits for its international brigade.
Now, the Telegraph has learned that around 12 to 14 phone numbers starting with +44 were visible to surveillance equipment in the area in the hours before the missile strike.
Mobile phone numbers can become visible to snooping technology when the device pings a nearby phone mast to connect to the network so a user can make calls or send texts.

[THEWEEK] On Saturday and Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky invoked his emergency powers under martial law to suppress several opposition political parties and implement a "unified information policy."
In an address to the nation delivered Sunday, he announced a temporary ban on "any activity" by 11 political parties.
The ban includes the Opposition Platform — For Life party, which holds 43 seats in Ukraine's national parliament and is the largest opposition party.
Opposition Platform — For Life is a pro-Russia party, but on March 8, party leader Yuriy Boyko demanded that Russia "stop the aggression against Ukraine," according to Ukrainian outlet LB.
That same day, Viktor Medvedchuk, who was accused of treason against Ukraine in May and beat feet from house arrest shortly after the invasion began, was removed from his post as the party's co-chair. Zelensky's information policy involves "combining all national TV channels, the program content of which consists mainly of information and/or information-analytical programs, [into] a single information platform of strategic communication" to be called "United News."
Rooters notes that, until Saturday, privately owned Ukrainian media outlets "continued to operate" independently.
Zelensky said the measure was necessary to combat Russian misinformation and "tell the truth about the war."

[PRAVDA.UA] On March 18, Russian invaders fired two missiles into a suburb of Zaporizhzhia, killing 9 people and wounding 17.

Mariupol, Avdiivka, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Novoselydivka, Verkhnotoretske, Krymka and Stepne came under fire from the occupying forces.
The Russian army shelled towns and villages with aircraft, rocket and heavy artillery, including the use of prohibited cluster weapons.
Among the civilian facilities destroyed by the Russian Federation are high-rise apartments and private residential buildings, a school, a kindergarten, a museum, a shopping centre and administrative buildings.
Police have opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of laws and customs of war) and Article 110 (violation of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine).

I've had about enough of this guy. It should be clear by now that NATO will not save his bacon. All the talking heads on CNN and all the other media outlets cannot save him. The politicians in DC might send him a few missiles but that's about it. So if he won't negotiate he should STFU and get on with his fighting.

Same here. I've had enough of Ukraine and Russia. This is a civil war that has nothing to do with us. We have no vital strategic interest there. Instead of pouring gasoline on the flames and torching the world economy we should be doing everything we can to bring this to a conclusion. If that means we stop arming the Ukrainians and let Russia win, so be it. But we need to stop making a bad situation worse

Being a curious father I ask for the impression, "The shirt had the flag colors sideways and the pants were checkered." It was a great lead-in for semaphore and nautical flags. If anyone profits from a WW3 it's the people who dream of global reorientation to suit their 'borderless', 'ópen' society world. And Zelensky works for them. Ideal that he serve as a catalyst for pushing nuclear powers into a senseless fight over his own ambitions.

Some 90% of those who have fled are women and kiddies. Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 are eligible for military call-up and cannot leave.

[ToloNews] Chinese President Xi Jinping told his U.S. counterpart Joe Biden on Friday that the Taiwan issue needs to be handled properly to avoid a negative impact on Sino-U.S. relations, according to Chinese media.
China says Taiwan, which it views as a breakaway province to be brought back to the fold, by force if necessary, is the most sensitive and important issue in its relations with the United States.
Washington, which is seeking Beijing's help in restoring peace in Ukraine after Russia's Feb. 24 invasion, has no formal diplomatic ties with Taipei but is Taiwan's most important international backer and arms supplier.
"Some individuals in the United States are sending the wrong signals to pro-independence forces in Taiwan, and that's very dangerous," Xi told Biden on a video call.
"If the Taiwan issue is not handled properly, it will have a subversive impact on the relationship between the two countries."
China sailed its aircraft carrier Shandong through the Taiwan Strait, shadowed by a U.S. destroyer, on Friday, a source with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters, just hours before the Chinese and U.S. presidents were due to talk.
A White House statement said Biden reiterated in the call with Xi that U.S. policy on Taiwan has not changed, and emphasized that Washington "continues to oppose any unilateral changes to the status quo."
China has over the past two years stepped up its military activity near the island to assert its sovereignty claims.
"(We) hope the U.S. side will pay adequate attention" to the issue, Xi told Biden.
Taiwan's Foreign Ministry expressed thanks to Biden for his "emphasis on maintaining the status quo of peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, as well as his firm support for Taiwan's security".
It called on China to take concrete actions and condemn Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Taiwan, which rejects China's sovereignty claims, has joined in Western-led sanctions against Russia and sent humanitarian aid for Ukrainian refugees.
Xi also told Biden that the war in Ukraine must end as soon as possible, according to Chinese state media.
All parties should jointly support the Russia-Ukraine dialogue while the United States and NATO should also conduct talks with Russia to solve the "crux" of the Ukraine crisis, Xi said.
It seems Putin is doing the Stalin thing of displacing people's he doesn't like. Ukrainians will be scattered in Russia to dilute them and Russians moved into the Ukraine to make it Russia.

Abnother 10 people were sent to nearby hospitals with life-threatening injuries and 27 were "slightly injured," Deputy Crown Prosecutor Damien Verheyen said.
As a group of carnival-goers were marching towards the town center, "a car came from the back at high speed and crashed into group, pulverized a large number of people, continuing its way before stopping a little further down," La Louvière mayor Jacques Gobert told news hounds.
The two men who were in the car, both from La Louvière and born in 1988 and 1990, were arrested, Verheyen said. He added that a "reconstruction of the facts" will be held in order to establish the exact route of the vehicle and any potential motive.
