Border tensions between Pakistain and Afghanistan have risen since the Taliban seized power last year, with Islamabad claiming turban groups are carrying out regular attacks from Afghan soil.
The Taliban deny harboring Pak holy warriors but are also infuriated by a fence Islamabad is erecting along their 2,700-kilometre (1,600-mile) border.

Multinational Joint Task Force front man Colonel Muhammad Dole said troops had ventured deep into enclaves controlled by hard boyz in the Lake Chad area and recovered several weapons, food and illicit drugs.

[BBC] More than 40 people have been arrested after violent clashes in Sweden between police and people angry at plans by a far-right group to burn copies of the Quran.
Three people were injured in Norrkoping on Sunday when officers fired warning shots at rioters, police said.
The violence was sparked by a series of rallies organised by the Danish-Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan.
He says he has burned a copy of Islam's holy book and wants to do so again.
Muslims consider the Quran the sacred word of God and view any intentional damage or show of disrespect towards it as deeply offensive.
Saudi Arabia has condemned what it called the "deliberate abuse of the holy Quran by some extremists in Sweden, and provocation and incitement against Muslims".
Iran and Iraq earlier summoned the Swedish ambassadors to lodge protests.
Sweden's national police chief, Anders Thornberg, said he had never seen such violent riots following Sunday's clashes in Norrkoping, which is about 160km (99 miles) south-west of Stockholm, and nearby Linkoping.
The two cites also witnessed riots on Friday, along with the Stockholm suburb of Rinkeby and the western city of Orebro. On Saturday, there was a riot in the southern city of Malmo.
On Monday, police said 26 police officers and 14 members of the public had been injured in the violence and that more than 20 vehicles had been damaged or destroyed.
They said that around 200 people had been involved in the violence, adding they believed it was organised by networks of criminal gangs. Some of the individuals are already known to police and Sweden's security service, Sapo.
Sunday's violence in Norrkoping came after Rasmus Paludan said he planned to hold a rally there. However, he never showed up in the city.
In a statement posted by his far-right, anti-immigrant Stram Kurs (Hard Line) party, Paludan said he cancelled the rally because Swedish authorities had "shown that they are completely incapable of protecting themselves and me".
He had earlier appeared on Thursday in the central city of Jonkoping, but as he talked into a megaphone while holding a Quran, his words were drowned out by a priest ringing the bells of a local church in protest.
Protests against plans by Stram Kurs to burn the Quran have turned violent in Sweden before. In 2020, protesters set cars on fire and shop fronts were damaged in clashes in Malmö.
Paludan represented Stram Kurs party in the last Danish elections in 2019, where it received 1.8 % of the vote, failing to win a seat.
In 2020, he was jailed in Denmark for a month for a string of offences including racism.
He plans to stand in Swedish elections in September, but he reportedly does not yet have the necessary number of signatures to secure his candidature.

The terror group allegedly attacked the force in Tuz Khurmatu’s Bastamli village at around 6:45 pm, Kawa Shekhani, Sakahaddin governor’s security and military advisor told Rudaw.

Ottoman Turkish jets and artillery struck PKK targets consisting of "shelters, bunkers, caves, tunnels, ammunition depots and a so-called headquarter belonging to the terrorist organization," Hulusi Akar said.
Dubbed Claw-Lock, the new operation is aimed at PKK hideouts in Metina, Zap and Avashin-Basyan areas, he added.
The PKK earlier on Monday claimed that "tens" of Ottoman Turkish helicopters targeted the PKK-entrenched Zap area as Ankara attempts "to land its troops there," reported media affiliated to the gang Roj News, adding that the helicopters were flying from bases within the Kurdistan Region.
"Until now, our operation continues successfully as planned. The targets set in the first phase have been achieved," Akar noted.
Ottoman Turkish warplanes heavily bombarded Kurdish villages in Duhok on Sunday, striking fear among the residents in the area. In a series of videos sent to Rudaw, jets can be heard flying over Shiladze town.
There are no reports of civilian casualties following the latest incursion.
Turkey has conducted numerous cross-border aerial and ground operations against the PKK over the past decade. In February, it launched the Winter Eagle operation against the gang in Shingal and Makhmour.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] At least 19 Paleostinians have been injured in festivities as Israeli settlers stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied Old City of al-Quds under the protection of Israeli military forces, in the latest act of provocation against the sacred site.
The settlers entered the compound on Sunday morning amid a heavy military deployment of Israeli soldiers to mark the Passover holiday and perform Talmudic prayers.
The Jewish religious occasion coincides with the Moslem fasting month of Ramadan at a time when thousands of Moslems, predominantly Paleostinians, usually stay at the holy site for worship day and night.
Videos circulating online showed Paleostinians throwing rocks and firecrackers and Israeli forces firing tear gas and stun grenades.
The Paleostine Red Islamic Thingy Society (PRCS) said its medics treated at least 17 injuries following the Israeli raid on the holy site, of whom three were admitted to hospital.
The official Paleostinian Wafa news agency reported that the attacking Israeli forces chased the worshipers and fired stun grenades and teargas randomly to empty the holy site of its Moslem worshipers in order to allow the entry of settlers wishing to celebrate Passover inside the courtyards of the al-Aqsa Mosque.
At least three arrests were reported among the Paleostinian worshipers.
