Biden Admin To Deploy Harm Reduction Kiosks In Rural Kentucky
[Newsmax] President Joe Biden's administration will launch a project to test the effectiveness of "harm reduction kiosks," vending machines that dispense supplies such as injection equipment, fentanyl test strips, and medicine to reverse an opioid overdose.

"At a time when overdose deaths, driven primarily by illicitly manufactured synthetic drugs, have reached a record high, the Biden-Harris Administration has significantly expanded access to evidence-based prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and recovery support services, as well as taken action to reduce the supply of illicit drugs like fentanyl," the White House said in a statement at the end of August, which called for an additional $3.2 billion for National Drug Control Program agencies.

The National Institutes of Health's National Institute on Drug Abuse is leading the project, which will involve dispersing harm reduction kiosks through rural Appalachia, starting in Kentucky as a "hybrid effectiveness trial to test the effectiveness, implementation outcomes, and cost effectiveness of a community-tailored, harm reduction kiosk in reducing HIV, hepatitis C, and overdose risk behavior."

The NIH notes that the kiosks "will be supplied with injection equipment, naloxone, fentanyl test strips, hygiene kits, condoms, and other supplies as well as an innovative call-back feature for facilitated referral to needed services by trained recovery coaches."

The National Institute on Drug Abuse told the Washington Free Beacon that the kiosks will also dispense "food kits, water, socks and gloves, feminine hygiene products, wound care, and resources/guides."

Similar machines have been deployed in various other U.S. states, including New York, Ohio, and Nevada, as well as in the countries of Canada and Australia.
I wonder how well this program worked in other test sites and how much they charged for the 'items'?

Research assistant for California Teachers Association was paid to 'dig for dirt' on parents' groups who opposed COVID shutdowns across the state, newly released emails show
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • A researcher with the California Teachers Association in April 2021 emailed members of a school parents' group to ask for advice

  • The researcher, Ann Swinburn, a veteran union operative, said she was investigating 'the various "reopen' groups around the state'

  • At the time, California schools were closed and lessons were remote: many parents were unhappy at the arrangement and agitating for change

  • Swinburn's tweets from a now-deleted Twitter account show her suspicion that the parents calling for schools to reopen were being used by right-wing actors

  • She tweeted that parents 'are used toward a larger goal to disrupt, destabilize, and "burn down" public schools (also see reopen parents)'

The emails were published online by activist group Reopen California Schools.

Allison Stratton, one of the founders of the Parents Association in San Diego, filed a request for the emails - and told Fox News she believed the emails showed that CTA was spying on parents.

'We already suspected (it) because we see the same people show up at every school board meeting saying the same things, echoing what the union is saying,' Stratton said. 'So, it's not a surprise.

'They were working as hard as they could against parents who wanted school reopened.'

Only 2% of Dallas Kids Under Five Have Taken the Jab
[Dallas Morning News] In the two months since the COVID-19 vaccine for children became available in Dallas County, roughly 2.2% of the population under 5 has been immunized.

Nationally, 6% of children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years have received at least one dose of the vaccine, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Maybe there's not so many woke in blue Dallas as I thought.
Compared with other large population centers in Texas, Dallas is behind counties. Harris County, where Houston is located, reported 16,868 children under 5 years out of 326,000 received at least one dose; Travis County, home to Austin, reported 9,346 children out of 73,000 have received at least one dose of the vaccine, according to Texas HHSC data.

At-home COVID test kits: Where to buy and how to use them
[NYP] The COVID-19 pandemic is like a roller-coaster. One minute we see the light at the end of the tunnel and the next thing we know, there are reports of a brand new variant.

Over the last two and half years, your visits to local urgent cares have likely quadrupled, but to stay safe, consistent testing (when presented with any symptoms) is, unfortunately, a reality we’re probably dealing with for the foreseeable future.

The good news? You have options. Instead of waiting on testing center lines for hours on end, people are turning to at-home COVID tests that they can use in the comfort of their own homes.

According to the CDC, COVID-19 self-tests — also known as at-home tests or over-the-counter (OTC) tests — are one of many risk-reduction measures, along with vaccination, masking and physical distancing, that protects you and others from the spread of COVID-19.

#5  Meanwhile, China tests its entire population every 72 hours.

With a security alert on their phone, where they have 10 minutes to take a video of themself inside their home performing a test?

Wait a second.....

Now, are there any tests/brands not made in china? Now, at about 20 weeks to flatten the curve, my kids came down with the same bug, likely a Back to School Flu because we went back to school. One tested positive for a covid, one tested negative. Either way, that is a 50% fail on an admittedly small sample, 2/4. Wife tested negative after enough exposure, ran out of tests because positive case was double tested. Wife and I showed nothing sign wise, so that is my conclusion for it being a B2S Flu.

Now, the positive one, I wouldn't put past to have heard the one simple trick kids were using to test positive and get out of school.

Insurance Companies Agree: Middle-Aged Deaths Skyrocketed in 2021
[PJ] According to a report from the Society of Actuaries (SOA), 20 of the nation’s top 21 insurance companies are all reporting the same phenomenon: death claims exploded in the summer and fall of 2021.

FAST FACTS

  • Death claims for 35-44 year-olds were 100% higher than expected in July, August, and September of 2021.
  • Deaths in 25-34-year-olds rose 78% in those same months.
  • More people 34 years old and under died of non-COVID-related illnesses than from COVID-19.
  • White-collar workers saw a 23% rise in unexpected (excess) deaths.

The report looked at death claims from April 2020 to March 2022 and used death claims from the three years before the pandemic as a baseline.

Hedge fund manager Edward Dowd has been studying what he calls the "alarming" excess death rate for a few months now. He notes that the excess deaths hit their peak around the time Gropey Joe Biden mandated vaccinations and fawning companies forced their employees to bend their knees and raise their sleeves.

"Temporally, in that three-month period, the change was such that, there was something that occurred," Dowd claimed. "Well, we all know what occurred in August, September, and October. It was Biden’s mandates on Sept. 9, and a lot of corporations anticipating those mandates."

Scott Davidson, CEO of OneAmerica, an insurance company based in Indianapolis, claims that this is the highest death rate in the history of life insurance. He also claimed that a 10% rise in the death rate would constitute a once-in-200-years catastrophe.

Dr. Robert Malone is known for creating the mRNA technology found in the COVID vaccines as well as being a skeptic of the Hong Kong Fluey shots.

"Excess mortality should be a signal, a trigger," Malone told The Epoch Times. "When we see excess mortality like that, basically if you’re running a clinical trial and you see this kind of excess mortality, you stop the trial. And you investigate the cause before you proceed. And if you’re marketing a drug, generally, with this kind of data, you stop the distribution of the drug until you have sorted it out."

The SOA sent the following statement to The Epoch Times clarifying that their report does not suggest a link between COVID vaccines and excess deaths but merely investigates the impact of COVID on the insurance industry:

Air Force Wages Cut Amid Budget Challenges
[military.com via newsmax] Enlisted airmen who toil in some of the Air Force's most difficult jobs will receive $900 to $5,400 less pay annually, beginning next month, as the service tackles financial challenges that affect the ranks, Military.com reported.
Special Duty Pay (SDP) cuts are just the first of potentially many more cuts to come.
Hundreds of service members will get cuts to their Special Duty Assignment Pay, known as SDAP, in fiscal 2023, starting Oct. 1. Those monthly payments, ranging from $75 to $450, were an extra incentive "to compensate enlisted service members who serve in duties which are extremely difficult," according to budget documents.
"The cuts will be deepest on those who misapply their pronouns"
"The Air Force saw an overall reduction of over $3 million to the FY23 SDAP budget based on fiscal constraints," service spokeswoman Laurel Falls told Military.com. "Due to the reduced funding levels, SDAP rates for 44 functional communities saw reductions."

In the fiscal 2023 budget, the Air Force is asking the federal government for 30,845 airmen to receive the more than $90.2 million worth of Special Duty Assignment Pay, Military.com reported.

It's a lower figure than the last two years, being cut by $1.5 million and around 500 airmen, according to budget documents, Military.com says.

For 2022, the Air Force asked for 31,334 airmen to receive $91.7 million; in 2021, the service asked for 30,967 airmen to receive $90.8 million in Special Duty Assignment Pay, Military.com reported.

The Air Force is facing a $3 million shortfall to the Special Duty Assignment Budget for 2023, according to the service. Air Force Headquarters held a meeting this past November to address the problem prior to crafting the 2023 budget, Falls told Military.com.

The Oath Keepers Data Leak: Unmasking Extremism in Public Life
Long, thorough, wrong-headed, names some names Alinsky style. Here are the first few sections.
[ADL] A data leak revealed the information of thousands of people whose names were in an Oath Keepers database as having paid for a membership at some point. The Oath Keepers are an anti-government extremist group associated with the militia movement.

    INTRODUCTION
In the wake of the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol, significant public and legal scrutiny was focused on the Oath Keepers, a large anti-government extremist group associated with the militia movement. Despite the group’s national profile, few specifics were known about its membership.

    Caribbean-Latin America
Report: Migrant ‘Invasion' Is Spiking Rents, Inflation
[Breitbart] Invading migrants are colonizing cities, driving up rents, inflating prices, importing foreign languages, and pushing locals out of their businesses and neighborhoods, a report says.

But the report is unlikely to get much criticism from pro-migration lobbies in the United States because it describes the criticism by Mexicans about Americans who use their income from U.S. jobs to occupy cheaper apartments in Mexico.

“Locals are calling it gentrification, a plague or even an invasion,” the report by Al Jazeera said.

“You’re thinking of moving to Mexico City? Wow,” one Mexico City resident told Al Jazeera. “One important recommendation: Don’t come,” he added.

“People who live in Mexico City, and people who work in Mexico City, such as myself, we want to get a place but it is really difficult because the prices as so high… It is messed up,” a second Mexican told Al Jazeera.

    Potential Rail Strike Status
[Yahoo] Five of the 12 unions representing rail workers have reached tentative agreements with railroads to enact the Presidential Emergency Board (PEB) recommendations, which call for 24 percent pay raises, back pay and cash bonuses.

But the bulk of railroad workers belong to unions that haven't yet agreed to a deal. It's also unclear whether workers would vote to ratify PEB recommendations that don't address their concerns about punishing hours and rigid schedules that make it difficult to take time off for any reason. ...

Federal law gives Congress the power to block or delay a railroad strike. If workers were to walk out, lawmakers could vote to enact the PEB deal or appoint arbitrators to fast-track a new contract, among a range of other options.

Canada stabbings suspect Myles Sanderson dies after arrest
[BBC] The suspect in a stabbing spree in Canada which left 10 people dead and 19 injured has died after being captured by police.

Myles Sanderson, 32, experienced "medical distress" after the arrest on a motorway in the province of Saskatchewan following a high-speed chase and died later, police say.

They gave no details. An unnamed official earlier said that Sanderson died of self-inflicted injuries.

    Ten victims remain in hospital.

Three are in a critical condition.

It is not clear what prompted Sunday's mass killings which encompassed 13 separate crime scenes. Both suspects - Myles Sanderson and his brother Damien, 31 - are dead.

Most of those killed in the rampage - and the suspects themselves - were from the James Smith Cree Nation, an indigenous community.

Police found Damien's body on Monday and are investigating whether his brother killed him.

"This evening our province is breathing a collective sigh of relief," Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore said on Wednesday night.

She said police had received a report earlier in the day of Myles Sanderson stealing a vehicle from outside a property. The householder was not injured during the theft.

Police gave pursuit as Sanderson fled at speeds of 150km/h (93mph).

They forced his vehicle into a ditch and officers found a knife in it as they arrested him, said the police chief.

He was taken into custody at around 15:30 local time (22:30 BST) and taken to a hospital in Saskatoon, where he was pronounced dead, she added.

News of Sanderson's capture came soon after an alert was sent to Canadian mobile phone users warning people near the town of Wakaw to "seek immediate shelter/shelter in place" because a man armed with a knife had been seen driving a stolen white Chevrolet Avalanche in the area.

CBC News reports that Sanderson had broken into a woman's rural property at around 14:00 local time on Wednesday.

The woman spotted Sanderson walking up to her front door, so she locked it and took refuge in a bathroom in her bedroom, her son told the Canadian broadcaster.

Sanderson kicked down the front door and went into the bedroom, telling the woman he would not hurt her and asking her to come with him, but she refused, according to her son.

The suspect took the woman's car keys, along with her mobile phone, water and a soft drink and cigarettes, the son said. The woman called police through a landline, reports CBC.

Earlier on Wednesday, the parents of the brothers had appealed for their surviving son to turn himself in.

"I want to apologise for my son, my sons," their mother said in an interview with CBC News.

"We don't know the whole story, but I want to apologise to everybody that was hurt and affected by this terrible situation."

Myles Sanderson had been facing charges of first-degree murder.

Canada's parole board said on Tuesday that it would review why he had been released early from prison while serving a four-year sentence for several violent crimes.

In February, the board said he would "not present an undue risk" and that his release would "contribute to the protection of society" by facilitating his rehabilitation.

Saskatoon police earlier confirmed they had been searching for Myles Sanderson since May, when he stopped meeting his assigned caseworker and was classified as "unlawfully at large".

Parole documents show he had a decades-long criminal record, including 59 criminal convictions since he was 18 for assault, threats and robbery.

According to court papers, Sanderson had stabbed two of the victims killed in Sunday's rampage - his in-laws, Earl Burns and Joyce Burns - seven years earlier.

"I want to know the reasons behind the [parole] decision," Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino told reporters. "I'm extremely concerned by what occurred here."

At an emotional news conference on Wednesday, relatives of the victims spoke of their "horror".

Mark Arcand, chief of the Saskatoon Tribal Council, said his sister, Bonnie Goodvoice-Burns, died protecting her three children.

"One of the young boys was hiding behind a highchair watching the whole thing happen," he said.

Pentagon suspends F-35 deliveries after discovering materials from China
[Politico] The Pentagon has temporarily halted delivery of F-35 fighter jets to the military branches and international customers after Lockheed Martin discovered a metal component used in the jet’s engine had come from China, according to the Pentagon.

The Defense Contract Management Agency notified the F-35 Joint Program Office at the Pentagon on Aug. 19 that an alloy used in magnets contained in the F-35’s turbomachine pumps came from China. Lockheed Martin builds the overall aircraft, but the turbomachine is produced by Honeywell.

The discovery does not affect flight operations of F-35s already in service, the Joint Program Office said.

"We have confirmed that the magnet does not transmit information or harm the integrity of the aircraft and there are no performance, quality, safety or security risks associated with this issue and flight operations for the F-35 in-service fleet will continue as normal," F-35 Joint Program Office spokesperson Russell Goemaere said in a statement to POLITICO.

"Defense contractors voluntarily shared information with DCMA and the JPO once the issue was discovered and they have found an alternative source for the alloy that will be used in future turbomachines," Goemaere said.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious, but it cannot survive treason from within. An eneny at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the bery halls of government itself.
