The article about how to properly care for your contacted gerbil was classic, and for real. The one about pervs with dogs not applying the peanut butter solution was good as well.

To new monikers 'Mpox' and 'manpox!'"
[Flixxy] Melissa plays like an angel — a very skilled one, too. In this unique performance, the sound of the trumpet evokes harmony and heavenly peace. What a majestic interpretation! Il Silenzio' is an Italian instrumental piece written in 1965 by trumpet player Nini Rosso. Conductor André Rieu (born 1949) is a famous Dutch violinist, conductor, and composer.
About six miles from Maastricht, in the Netherlands, lie buried 8,301 American soldiers who died in "Operation Market Garden" in the battles to liberate Holland in the fall/winter of 1944. Every one of the men buried in the cemetery, as well as those in the Canadian and British military cemeteries, has been adopted by a Dutch family who mind the grave, decorate it, and keep alive the memory of the soldier they have adopted. It is even the custom to keep a portrait of "their" soldier in a place of honor in their home. Annually, on "Liberation Day," memorial services are held for "the men who died to liberate Holland." The day concludes with a concert. The final piece is always "Il Silenzio," a memorial piece commissioned by the Dutch and first played in 1965 on the 20th anniversary of Holland's liberation. It has been the concluding piece of the memorial concert ever since. This year, the soloist was a 13-year-old Dutch girl, Melissa Venema, backed by André Rieu and his orchestra ( the Royal Orchestra of the Netherlands ). This beautiful concert piece is based upon the original version of taps and was composed by Italian composer, Nino Rossi.

Turner has been mayor since 2017.
This is not a Texas issue. It is a Houston issue.

Do keep in mind that the Houston area is a literal swamp. Fresh water issues are bound to happen at times regardless of it being Houston or the surroundings. That being said, Harris county/center houston is basically New Orleans and just as corrupt and icky. The only thing they can't seem to destroy is the Texas attitude to ventilated criminals. Get caught in crime and get shot, the locals have zero sympathy and consistently no bill any charges.
There was a drunk driver that hit a vehicle on the side of the road being pushed by a man's teenage sons and killed them both. By the time the police arrived, someone shot the drunk in the head. They tried to charge the dad but by the time police were there, they found no gun. Prosecuters tried for murder and jury said Nope.

I have friends from England who have visited Texas several times. Despite that and driving around various areas, they have NO idea of how huge Texas is.
NO ONE in England has an idea of how huge Texas is. A lot of my friends from New England don't get the idea of how huge Texas is.
No one from New York City can even pronounce Houston correctly. They call is Houseton.
I've been going to Texas since the 1980s, and I'm not sure that I have a good idea of how huge Texas is.
Something like this happening in Houston is barely a blip on the news in Austin. It's probably less so in the DFW area.

A lesson in Logic: "Houston != Texas". Just because your mismanagement and Green Energy Policy™ have screwed things up doesn't say anything about the rest of the state of Texas.

I am sooo glad I don't live there anymore.
The current mayor (Turner) was an ambulance chaser who very nearly went to prison not long ago.
The technical issue that caused the 'boil notice' required by TDEQ is the East Side Water plant lost power to a pump, pressure dropped to 20 psi, the level considered required to assure ground water cannot enter. (Yes, the system is designed to leak. It's going to, you might as well plan for it.)

I had friends from Germany visit and they were always stunned driving from Vegas to San Diego and how big it was you could fit Germany into that desert. Its an eye opener.
I recently moved to Austin area and driving from San Diego the Texas border is more or less half-way. CA, AZ, NM in one day, Half of Texas the next. Its a big place.

[ZERO] Mass protests against China's 'zero-covid' policy have spread to Hong Kong, after demonstrators on the mainland began demanding that President Xi Jinping resign.
Around 50 students at the Chinese University of Hong Kong were pictured chanting "No PCR tests but freedom!" and "Opposed dictatorship, don't be slaves!" while holding up blank pieces of paper - which have become a symbol of protest against China's clampdown on freedom of expression, according to Axios. The blank paper protests were previously seen during the Hong Kong protests in 2020, and earlier this year during demonstrations against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Anti-lockdown protests spread throughout several cities over the weekend, including Beijing, Shanghai and Wuhan - which were largely muted on Monday after police moved out in force.
Meanwhile, police in Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou have reportedly been checking the phones of random citizens to look for unapproved social media apps. If they found Twitter or Telegram, the personal information would be taken down and the person would receive a warning. Any resistance would be met with a report, according to DW News correspondent William Yang.
[HealthSite.com] If the vaccine was rolled out nationally, CSL said it could undermine public health in Australia by causing a wave of false positive HIV tests in the community.
The clinical trials of a coronavirus vaccine candidate being developed in Australia have been scrapped after trial participants returned false-positive test results for HIV.
According to the reports, relevant parties announced that despite eliciting an effective virus response and strong safety profile, a deal for the Australian government to purchase over 50 million doses of the vaccine had been canceled, reports Xinhua news agency.

Given, I have felt the C-19+ Vax-ccident was a more of a stop gap Panic Control Tool, than a serious medical solution.
It seems finally, those that censored and even Black-Balled many medical experts, to hide the growing list of Vax-ccident issues may have to face the piper.
But at what cost ? ... Millions of lives already and millions more to come?
Of course, there is already a Political Test Balloon floating around called "Pandemic Immunity".

When I found out that they had tried to make a SARS vaccine but failed because it killed too many people, I decided to skip taking their recommendation for COVID especially with no clinical tests that whacked the SARS vaccine.

[ScienceAlert] Scientists Revived Ancient 'Zombie Viruses' Frozen For Eons in Siberia
As the world warms up, vast tranches of permafrost are melting, releasing material that's been trapped in its icy grip for years. This includes a slew of microbes that have lain dormant for hundreds of millennia in some cases.
To study the emerging microbes, scientists have now revived a number of these "zombie viruses" from Siberian permafrost, including one thought to be nearly 50,000 years old – a record age for a frozen virus returning to a state capable of infecting other organisms.
The team behind the work, led by microbiologist Jean-Marie Alempic from the French National Centre for Scientific Research, says these reanimating viruses are potentially a significant threat to public health, and further study needs to be done to assess the danger that these infectious agents could pose as they awake from their icy slumber.
