Ivan Krylov Crayfish, Pike, and Swan
When partners have no accord,
Their business always go hard:
Nobody works, but only strive to strike.
Once, Crayfish, Swan, and Pike
Got hired to drag a cart,
Harnessed themselves, all three, and start
To move. It could be pretty light
for them, but to a river Pike is trying to drag,
While Crayfish, he is pulling back,
And Swan up to the clouds directs his flight.
'Tis difficult to say, who is to blame.
Which place is now the cart? The same.
Would you believe this song about diversity was written in early 19th century?
[PM] "Time to whip out the Glitter & Hellfire flamethrowers and rip that old world to shreds darlings," he posted to Instagram announcing the promotion.
Target is facing public scrutiny yet again after the retail giant seemingly doubled down on its pushing of far-left gender ideology after it was revealed that the company has a new self-proclaimed "Senior LGBTQIA+ Segmentation Strategist and Pride Lead" named Erik Thompson, also known as "GayCruella" on his Instagram page.
Thompson posted excitedly to social media upon receiving his new role, telling the world that he is here to "make trouble" and that it is now time to "rip that old world to shreds."
Remember when @Target sold tucking swimwear for kids and their sales dropped, stock plunged, and they were sued by shareholders?
Apparently they didn’t learn their lesson cuz they just hired an LGBTQ activist to lead their "LGBTQIA+ multicultural merchandising strategy and pride... pic.twitter.com/wDZW7hshKi

The CEO's recent comments on the previous fiasco proved that Target learned *nothing*. This CEO, and by extension this board of directors, are not just incompetent--they are *evil*.
[ET] CASA GRANDE, Ariz.—Given the choice between a sporty new Chevy Corvette and his 1963 Dodge 330, Bob Hughes will take the 60-year-old classic any day.
The simplicity of automotive design from yesteryear has its virtues, Mr. Hughes said, relaxing in a lawn chair next to his former "daily driver" at the Thunderfest Car and Bike Show in Casa Grande, Arizona, on Nov. 4.
"You can change the plugs—you can see the plugs—which is something you can't do on most new cars," he said.
"I built this thing from nothing. It was a $75 body when I bought it." That was in 1970.
[AFRICANEWS] Flash flooding in Somalia has now killed at least 50 people and driven nearly 700,000 from their homes, a government official said.
The Horn of Africa region is experiencing torrential rainfall and floods linked to the El Nino weather phenomenon, claiming dozens of lives and causing large-scale displacement, including in Somalia, where the downpours have destroyed bridges and inundated residential areas.
The Somali Disaster Management Agency director warned on Monday (Nov. 20) that the expected "rains between 21st and 24th of November" could cause more flooding and lead to even more deaths and destruction.
On Saturday (Nov. 18), the UN humanitarian agency OCHA said 1.7 million people overall have been affected by the disaster.
The destruction of infrastructure has led to increased prices of basic commodities, according to OCHA.
British charity Save the Children on November 16 said thousands had been forced from their homes in Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia due to flash flooding.
The Horn of Africa is emerging from the worst drought in four decades after multiple failed rainy seasons that left millions of people in need and devastated crops and livestock. You wanted rain, now you're bitching it's too much. No satisfying these people
[AFRICANEWS] Guinea's ruling junta has ordered new charges to be brought against former president Alpha Condé, whom it overthrew in a coup d'état in 2021, for alleged acts of "treason", a letter from the justice minister to the Conakry public prosecutor said on Tuesday.
The former head of state from 2010 to 2021, who has been in exile in The Sick Man of EuropeTurkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... since he was ousted, is already being prosecuted for alleged "corruption", as well as "murder, torture, kidnapping and rape", in a country where the repression of political demonstrations is often brutal.
"You are enjoined (...) to initiate legal proceedings for alleged acts of treason, criminal conspiracy and complicity in the illegal possession of arms and munitions against Professor Alpha Condé, former President of the Republic", wrote Justice Minister Alphonse Charles Wright.
"It has been brought to the attention of the Keeper of the Seals (...) that Alpha Condé, in association with Mr Fodé Moussa Mara", a well-known blogger and supporter of Mr Condé, "has taken steps to obtain arms, ammunition and related materials", said Mr Wright in the public letter dated Monday.
He gave no further information about the nature or quantity of these weapons.
In 2010, Alpha Condé became Guinea's first democratically elected president after decades of authoritarian or dictatorial rule, but his desire to hold on to power to run for a third term sparked a strong protest movement that was heavily repressed until his downfall.
[AFRICANEWS] At least 37 people, almost all of them young people, bit the dust and dozens of others were maimed in a deadly stampede that occurred Monday, November 20 inside the Michel-Ornano stadium in Brazzaville.
Thousands of young people stormed this temple of sport around 11 p.m. to be among the first to obtain the information sheet the next day to enlist in the Congolese Armed Forces. A large crowd tried to force entry to the stadium, causing several people to fall and be trampled by others.
Injured people were transported to the military hospital and Brazzaville University Hospital. The authorities reacted and confirmed the provisional number of deaths in a blurb published Monday morning. A crisis unit has been set up.
The call for this recruitment of 1,500 young people to serve in the various army corps had aroused popular fervor among a section of the population affected by endemic unemployment.
According to the World Bank, the dynamics of social exclusion and factors of fragility in the Republic of Congo exacerbate poverty and inequality. A reality which, according to some observers, could explain the presence of thousands of young people this Black Monday in this stadium. A physical presence resulting from the absence of dematerialization of administrative procedures in the country.
The army has not confirmed whether this recruitment will take place after the tragedy or its postponement. On May 28, an entrance exam for the police and gendarmerie was organized in all departments of the country. Although it attracted many young people, its results are still awaited.
Argentina's new president Javier Milei has vowed to 'get the Falklands back', saying it is 'non-negotiable' for Britain to hand them over and compared it to the UK returning Hong Kong to China. pic.twitter.com/AsuIh1NkGg

Milei, a right-wing economist known as 'el Loco' - or the Madman - who promised to shake-up Argentina with his win, said he would 'make every effort' to get the Falkland Islands back - but stopped short of saying he would go to war over them
So, stirring up the rubes. I suspect EVERY Argie Pol has said something similar. They really don't like him, like Trump. Every statement that would've gone by if he'd lost will be amplified (with added spin). Don't trust the Media and Lefties

Well, they gave up Hong Kong which was by far more valuable than some barren sheep infested islands. Tell the Argies that first they better get their house in order before they make any future claims.

Get Harry and Meghan down there to represent The Crown. Gets them out of the way and Harry could start earning a living instead of a Meghan allowance.

I believe that the UK signed a lease for Hong Kong - for like 100 years. China wouldn't renew the lease, so the UK had to give it back.
Definitely not the same as the Falklands.

^ Thanks for writing that, Rambler, so I didn't have to.
I was surprised when Britain went to war over the Falklands given the distances, but that was when Maggie Thatcher was PM. I'd be super-surprised if they did it again. Hey, maybe as a compromise, they could rename the islands the Maldives.

It wouldn't have been that hard to take the Falklands the first time. The UK could say, OK, have it, but you need to compensate all the current residents and property owners (including UK bases) first for taking their property. A billion or three should do it. UK spins it as a purchase, Argentina spins it as humanitarian, nobody really cares that much. People might be a little touchier after the deaths, but it has been a few years, it might be worth a spin.

Moderate strengthening of demand since August has buoyed the sagging air cargo market, but the seasonal surge in retail shipments for the holidays appears to be a third the normal level and more industry players are resetting expectations for a real recovery until the fall of 2024, or later.
Market intelligence provider Xeneta said airfreight volumes bumped up 2% in October from September and increased 2% year over year (y/y), but the sequential growth was subpar compared with peak seasons the previous five years. Midway through November, air cargo traffic remains barely ahead of last year’s disappointing fourth quarter, a compilation of surveys shows.
With consumer purchasing power stagnant amid nagging inflation and a cooling macroeconomic environment exacerbated by the new war between Israel and Hamas ...not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... , a spending shift to services and experiences, few signs of significant retail restocking, and shippers favoring cheap ocean shipping, the freight sector now realizes air shipping probably won’t rally for at least another nine to 12 months.
Although airfreight volumes and rates have slowly leveled off since the double-digit declines to start the year and finally crossed over to growth, the annualized drop in cargo revenues during the third quarter reflects the uphill conditions faced by airlines and logistics providers.
Major U.S. and European airlines ranging from Air Canada to United Airlines, Air La Belle France-KLM and Lufthansa Group reported revenue declines of 25% to 40% for cargo during the three-month period, with the Lufthansa Cargo freighter unit barely breaking even. Korean Air’s cargo revenue fell 51%. Logistics behemoth Kuehne+Nagel said revenue for arranging air cargo moves dropped 46% y/y, while DSV said airfreight tonnage inched up from the second quarter but was down 14% versus the year-ago period.
[Washington Examiner] Existing home sales once again slowed in October, falling to their lowest level in more than a decade amid higher mortgage rates.
Home sales in October slowed 4.1% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.79 million, the National Association of Realtors reported on Tuesday, as higher mortgage rates priced out many would-be buyers and led many homeowners to avoid selling and having to reenter the home loan market.
The pace of home sales was down 14.6% from the year before.
Total housing inventory at the end of October was 1.15 million units, up 1.8% from September but down 5.7% from a year ago.
The median price of an existing home in October was $391,800, an increase of 3.4% from the year before. Additionally, homes typically remained on the market for 23 days in October, up from 21 days in September.
"Prospective home buyers experienced another difficult month due to the persistent lack of housing inventory and the highest mortgage rates in a generation," NAR chief economist Lawrence Yun said.
The news comes as mortgage rates remain at levels not seen in more than two decades.
As of Thursday, the average rate on a 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage was 7.38%, according to Mortgage News Daily, which tracks daily changes in rates. That is down from a recent peak of above 8%, but that is far higher than in the years prior to the pandemic and nearly double the lows notched during the pandemic.
Mortgage rates have risen in the wake of the Federal Reserve's campaign to tighten monetary policy. The Fed has raised its target rate, which applies to a short-term market separate from the mortgage market, to a range of 5.25% to 5.50%.
The revisions have sent shock waves through the housing market and affected the sale of new homes.

The current economy reminds me of JB's owner & controller Obama.
The values go up, but you can't sell it.
The Interest rates go up.
The Local, State & Fed Gov. taxes go up.
Insurance costs go up.
Service and Repairs costs go up.
Everything goes up except your Net Income.
Seriously those of us on SSA & retirement incomes might as well start lining up at the Food Banks. Which means Generation ?? living at home will need to get a job to help out.
But wait we have about 8 million Illegals holding US Jobs now?

Collateral damage of the high rates is that people can't move because their they owe more than their houses are worth. Unlikely that there are any transferable low fixed-rate mortgages anymore - those would allow liquidity in home markets.

Skid, same time I did the same thing. Best economic analysis of my life. Figured that the price wouldn't go up but I could re-finance and lower my outlay. 3 yrs later sold my $45000 Cape for $112000.
Worked out okay.
[Last Refuge] As noted by the New York Post, "a brilliant new crowdfunded documentary, "The Fall of Minneapolis," aims to remedy our collective amnesia about the events of May 25, 2020 — a time when the country was already half-mad from the ravages of COVID-19 and forced lockdowns, and when Democratic Party operatives, including candidates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, seized on the "Defund the police" movement, in order to bring down President Donald Trump."
The film is based on Liz Collin’s Amazon bestseller, "They’re Lying: The Media, The Left, and The Death of George Floyd," which exposes the holes in the prevailing narrative surrounding George Floyd’s death, the trial of Derek Chauvin, and the fallout the city of Minneapolis has suffered ever since (more). Here is the full video documentary:
[BLAZE] The Pentagon is requesting $114.7 million to fund "diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility" initiatives in fiscal year 2024 after the department failed its sixth consecutive annual audit this month.
The Defense Department's DEI spending has increased in recent years. In 2022, the department requested $68 million, and in 2023, $86.5 million, the Daily Wire reported. The DOD's latest DEI-related budget request marks the largest yet.
The Pentagon's Defense Budget Overview stated, "The FY 2024 President's Budget request demonstrates the DoD's commitment to DEIA and includes $114.7 million for dedicated diversity and inclusion activities."
It noted that the funds will be invested "in programs and initiatives aimed at furthering DEIA, and incorporating DEIA values, objectives, and considerations in how we do business and execute our missions."

[ZERO] MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has vowed to 'expose everything' following last week's massive ruling by an Obama-appointed judge in Georgia, Amy Totenberg, who agreed with Lindell's legal team that electronic voting machines used by the state of Georgia have substantial flaws.
According to Totenberg, there is sufficient cause to believe that there may be "cybersecurity deficiencies that unconstitutionally burden Plaintiffs’ First and Fourteenth Amendment rights and capacity to case effective votes that are accurately counted."
What's more, in a footnote within her 135-page ruling,
...the lady clearly has a lot to say on the subject...
Totenberg said the evidence in the case "does not suggest that the Plaintiffs are conspiracy theorists of any variety."
"Indeed, some of the nation's leading cybersecurity experts and computer scientists have provided testimony and affidavits on behalf of Plaintiffs' case in the long course of this litigation," she wrote.

Democrat election fraud is a multi-headed hydra, voting machines, ballot fraud, ballot harvesting, turn-out cash incentives, false addresses, illegals voting...the history of their tricks is long-standing. It used to be a given that you needed at least a 5% plurality to overcome cheating. After 2020, who knows if its even possible given the grip the Marxists have across the swing states?

[MAIL] New Speaker of the House Mike Johnson once called abortion 'truly an American Holocaust' and suggested the Supreme Court follow the overturning of Roe v Wade with a further look at gay rights.
Johnson, a Louisiana conservative who has endorsed Donald Trump for president in 2024, made the comments on abortion on a radio show in May 2022 after a heated hearing on the subject.
Then just a Congressman, Johnson demanded a gynecologist give her stance on performing the procedure when an infant is 'halfway out of the birth canal.'
Speaking on The Vince Coglianese Show, the host spoke to Johnson about what he saw as the moral bankruptcy of abortion and asked him to react to its effects on the black community.
'It is truly an American Holocaust... their response is to try and ignore it. The reality is that Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion, they set up their clinics in inner cities and they regard these people as easy prey.'
[GATEWAY] Tucker Carlson on Tuesday evening brought the house down as he headlined the RiskOn360! Global Success Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tucker walked out on stage to a roaring crowd.
He immediately began his speech by telling the audience he spent his flight across the country Tuesday morning text with people.
"I gotta tell you, every single person I texted with, with the exception of my wife who’s not on the internet at all was angry and paranoid. Seriously. And these are not crazy people. These are normal, good people with kids and stuff," Tucker said.
Tucker then warned, "The next year is going to be...I’d bet my house on it, really like nothing we’ve ever seen."
"Always trust your gut. If you feel like they’re lying to you, they are," he said.
Tucker said the US is past the "political stage" now that Trump has entered the political arena because the Deep State is willing to do anything to stop him.
