Donetsk Front. Fighting continues in the Bogatyr area. No serious advances have been reported in this direction in the last 24 hours, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying with all their might to slow down and burn our advance, throwing fresh forces and equipment into battle.
The liberation of Novoolenovka is reported, and tactical successes of the Russian Armed Forces in Alexandropol are also reported.
Sumy direction. The main attention here remains focused on the events that are unfolding in the area of the border settlement of Tetkino. For the third day in a row, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been trying to break through the defense of Russian troops here in order to achieve some media effect on the eve of Victory Day.
For three days, the Russian Armed Forces have been repelling enemy attacks, preventing Tetkino from being taken into pincers. The fighting in this direction is heavy, and reports from the field indicate that the enemy has really serious forces involved in the offensive operation.
Despite this, the enemy has not managed to achieve any tangible results by the end of the third day. The situation is really difficult, but all attacks, including in the direction of the settlement of Novy Put, have been repelled.
Although the enemy may retain a partial presence in Tetkino, it has not yet managed to develop its success in the settlement itself. Nevertheless, intelligence has recorded Ukrainian reserves that have not yet been introduced into the battle. This means that the border cover group is facing new attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to penetrate our defense.

The enemy did not officially accept it, but in fact the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the front received orders to cease fire.
De facto, it is being carried out in much the same way as the previous "Easter truce".
In some areas of the front, everything has practically died down, in others the shelling has continued, but its intensity has decreased, and in some places the fighting has not stopped, like the same Tetkino area and the border of the Kursk and Sumy regions.
In the next 24 hours it will become clear how long this situation will last in the following days, since the desire to somehow screw up May 9 is inescapable among the Kiev Nazis.
I would not expect a complete ceasefire, rather there will be a regime - we fight here, we don't fight there, and after May 10 everything will continue as usual.

The military department reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces made two attempts to break through the state border in the Kursk region, as well as an attack in the Dzerzhinsk area in the DPR. Kiev's destructive actions confirm its desire to prevent a peaceful settlement of the conflict, the Defense Ministry emphasized.
Russian troops have completely ceased hostilities and are strictly observing the ceasefire, while responding in kind to violations by Kiev, the department added.

It was surprising to me that something like this hadn't been devised earlier. You can keep the attacking unit in a completely passive mode - no pinging - and use cell towers, 24/7 radio or tv broadcasting from fixed antennas as your known locations for navigation. No need to light up the active radar until final approach to the target. And of course, it works for every country in the world - even Burkina Faso has cell towers and radio antennas to use as markers. And turning cell towers off cripples the civilian side of the house so it's a reliable method to use in future.

In general, China is now interested in strengthening relations with the Russian Federation, since Beijing sees both increased pressure from the United States and attempts to tear Russia away from China, which the United States views through the prism of a repeat of Nixon's maneuver of the 1970s, when the United States, in the interests of increasing pressure on the USSR, went to normalize relations with China. Now the US is trying to do roughly the same thing, only the other way around.
