Afghanistan
Ashraf Ghani Received $110M From Qatar Not to Resist Taliban
[KhaamaPress] Italian TG1 News Network has revealed an investigative report showing that Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
had paid Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, ex-president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. When Biden abandoned the country left with a helicopter, four cars, and part of the national treasury...
more than $110 million to avoid resisting the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
fighters.

This network has published the document of receipt of this money by Ajmal Ahmadi, the special representative of Ashraf Ghani and the former head of the Central Bank of Afghanistan, from the representative of Qatar.

The Italian state-run network has published a document that indicates the receipt of $110,478,000 from Dr. Mutlaq AL-Qahtani, the representative of Qatar signed by Ajmal Ahmadi, the special representative of Ashraf Ghani on July 7, 2021.

The archive of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicates that Mr. Qahtani was in Kabul, and had met with Ashraf Ghani at the Presidential Palace (Arg) on July 7, 2021.

It is further highlighted in the letter for what reason the money was granted to Ashraf Ghani. However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
five weeks after the payment of the sum at the Embassy of Qatar in Kabul, Ashraf Ghani fled, and the Taliban entered Kabul.

Filippo Rossi, a renowned Italian journalist who conducted this investigative research states that this report has been provided based on reviewing documents and talking to reliable sources.

He says, Ashraf Ghani in a speech in the country’s Parliament on August 2, called on the people of Afghanistan to fight against the Taliban, while districts and picturesque provincial capitals were falling to the Taliban one after another with the least resistance.

According to Mr. Rossi, the Afghan cops were commanded from Kabul not to resist and retreat, instead. Prior to this, other reports existed that certain high-ranking security officials across the country claimed that they were dictated by Kabul not to fight.

General Murad Ali Murad, former Deputy Interior Minister of Defense, in a special interview with Afghan International said that Afghan National Army was well-trained and militarily equipped, However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
due to a grand regional and global conspiracy, the government collapsed and the Taliban appeared triumphant.

Kenyan national involved in Al-Shabaab's raid in Mogadishu mayor's office
[Garowe] The prime architect of last week's raid at the office of the Banadir regional Governor Yusuf Hussein Jimale is a Kenyan national who has been working with al-Shabaab
...... the personification of Somali state failure...
forces of Evil for a while now, the group announced in a pre-recorded audio, a tradition which it has practiced for over a decade.

Zubeyr al-Muhaajir, the group said in the audio, coordinated and executed the attack which left over six civilians dead and dozens injured. al-Shabaab was targeting Jimale, who has been spearheading the war against the forces of Evil within the capital Mogadishu, which is located in the Benadir region.

The bomber, the group further claimed, was born in Majengo estate, a suburb within the regional headquarters of the former Central province in Mt Kenya region. Curiously, the county [Nyeri] is not associated with violent mostly peaceful extremism like the northern counties of Wajir, Garissa, and Mandera, or the coastal strip of Lamu.

But it is in 2019 that the government of Kenya linked a number of turbans to Nyeri following the DusitD2 complex attack in Nairobi's leafy suburbs of Westlands which left at least 21 civilians dead, including a close relative of the then President Uhuru Kenyatta, who has since retired.

Former Interior Minister Fred Matiang'i confirmed that Nyeri was slowly being turned into an al-Shabaab breeding cell, leading to the activation of sophisticated operations within the town and its environs. There has not been any recorded al-Shabaab activity from the town, records indicate.

However,
today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday...
the audio by al-Shabaab mentions one Mahir Khalid Ruziki but does not outrightly mention his role in the Mogadishu attack. A quick search shows that Riziki is an al-Shabaab "graduate" of 2018 who underwent training in Somalia after sneaking from his native Kenya since he was born in Mombasa.

Riziki was widely mentioned by security forces in Kenya as the criminal mastermind of the DusitD2 complex attack and closely worked with Ali Salim Gichunge alias Faruk, a son to a Kenya Defense Forces [KDF] member, who was brought up in Isiolo before relocating to Majengo in Nyeri, where al-Muhaajir coincidentally comes from.

CCTV footage from the scene showed the terrorist walking outside a manicured lawn before he went kaboom! outside Secret Gardens restaurant at 3.05 pm. According to police reports, the jacket wallah killed six people at the restaurant in DusitD2 complex attack, but the figure would rise to 21 according to police records.

Just like in DusitD2 complex attack, all the six forces of Evil who are connected to the raid at Jimale's office were killed by elite Danab Special forces, the Federal Government of Somalia had confirmed. They disguised themselves in military gear associated with the newly absorbed Eritrea
...is run by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), with about the amounts of democracy and justice you'd expect from a party with that name. National elections have been periodically scheduled and cancelled; none have ever been held in the country. The president, Isaias Afewerki, has been in office since independence in 1993 and will probably die there of old age...
n-trained Somali soldiers.

Foreigners have been for a long time associated with al-Shabaab attacks, with the group also linking another Kenyan in the Manda Airfield raid a year later [Jan 5, 2020], which left three Americans dead, among them a service member. The US forces went on to kill five attackers at the camp.

Somalia is currently battling with the forces of Evil in central and southern parts, with the military recording over 500 al-Shabaab deaths in the last five months. al-Shabaab forces of Evil particularly foreigners are said to be running away from the country, due to sophisticated operations against them.

Muslim Students Association In Lagos Recommends Sacking, Imprisonment For Principals, Teachers Who Prevent Use Of Hijab
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit has advised members to be courageous to wear hijab to schools despite the pockets of harassment and victimisation experienced in a few schools.

Speaking on Wednesday, during the celebration of the 2023 World Hijab Day, Amirah (female president) of MSSN Lagos, Azeezah Gidigbih, called on the government of Lagos State to sack and prosecute any teacher or principal who violates the order of the court on hijab.

World Hijab Day is marked globally on February 1st to celebrate women wearing hijabs and discourage discrimination.

In her address, Gidigbih explained that the theme of the 2023 WHD, 'Progression not Oppression', reflects the situation of hijab-wearing students in Nigeria.

She said, "Just like yesterday, we jubilated when the Supreme Court after a legal tussle of about 10 years granted us victory over the use of hijab in schools.

"Indeed, we are making progress. Our efforts are yielding positive results and we won't rest until we achieve 100 % compliance on the use of hijab by our members," she added.

While threatening to sue anyone found harassing students and denying them their rights to use hijab in schools, Gidigbih challenged the Lagos State Government to publicly sanction any erring principal or teacher.

Gidigbih, who appreciated the Lagos State Government for issuing a circular to permit hijab in public schools, lamented the continuous harassment of its members wearing hijab after the Supreme Court judgment and the state government's circular in 2022.

She said, "It is no longer news that in June 2022, the Supreme Court approved for students to use the hijab in all schools. This move has however not deterred some overzealous school administrators who still throw caution to the wind and harass students without regard for the constitution and directives from their employers.

"We recommend that they should be demoted, sacked, prosecuted and jailed instead of just being transferred as witnessed in recent cases. These disobedient elements don't deserve to be in our education system in Lagos State.

"While we are not against students conforming to school rules and regulations on dress code, we will not allow the effect of the Supreme Court judgment to be watered down and rendered worthless."

She also hailed the recent appointment of Dr Shareefah Adejoke Yusuf as the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Education District VI by the Lagos State Government.

"Just like every other year, the issues are the same. Muslimahs have shown over time that a whole lot can be achieved with the hijab and like others, we should be allowed to show our capabilities.

"Worthy of note is the recent appointment of a hijabi Dr Shareefah Adejoke Yusuf as the Tutor-General/ Permanent Secretary, Education District VI by the Lagos State government. This is an affirmation that the hijab is not a limiting factor to the success of any individual. We commend the Lagos State for this move and we are certain of more success in the nearest future with more innovation and achievements by other hijabis," she stated.

UN calls for full investigation on Mali military and Wagner group over war crime
Whoa — it’s not just Israel and America they try to bully.
[Garowe] The United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
team of experts has called for an independent investigation into possible war crimes and crimes against humanity in Mali by government forces and Russian private military contractor the Wagner Group.

In 2021, the military took over the civilian government under a coup. The West African nation has maintained that the Russian forces are
not mercenaries but trainers helping local troops with equipment bought from Moscow.

Western powers say the Russian forces in Mali include the Wagner Group contractors.

"Since 2021, the experts have received persistent and alarming accounts of horrific executions, mass graves, acts of torture, rape, sexual violence, pillaging, arbitrary detentions, and enforced disappearances perpetrated by Malian armed forces and their allies," said the statement from the independent experts.

Mali’s army spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Russian President Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
said last year that the Russian state had nothing to do with military contractors working in Mali, adding that the African country had the right to work with private Russian firms.

Mali is engaged in a fight against gangs linked to al-Qaeda and ISIS (ISIS) who have waged a decade-long conflict that has spread to neighbouring countries.

Tuesday’s statement mentioned the Wagner Group by name and described credible reports of the involvement of military personnel believed to belong to the group in a massacre of hundreds of people in March.

Survivors have said that white mercenaries suspected to be Russians took part in the massacre in Moura, a market town in central Mali. The incident sparked an international uproar and prompted the UN to open an earlier investigation.

Mali’s army has denied any wrongdoing in Moura and said it killed 203 Death Eaters there during what it described as a military operation.

The Wagner Group has attracted international attention over its prominent role in fighting during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Chad’s president meets with Netanyahu and Mossad chief ahead of embassy opening
More normalizing!
[IsraelTimes] Mahamat Deby’s father decided in 2019 to restore relations with Israel for the first time since 1972, as Israel works to expand ties in Africa

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Wednesday with Chad’s President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, who is visiting Israel to open the central African nation’s embassy to the Jewish state.

"We see these relations as extremely important — with a great country at the heart of Africa," Netanyahu said as the two met in Jerusalem. "These are relations that we want to upgrade to new levels, to new heights — and your visit here in Israel and the opening of the embassy are an expression of this."

#1  Idriss Deby, a minority ethnic Zaghawa from Ennedi (Chad's northernmost BET, Bourkou-Ennedi-Tibesti), took a bite against the Boko Haram invaders from Nigeria. After battles around Lake Chad he found that he had bitten off more than he could chew. A member of a minority himself, he turned to the Israelis to bail him out of what could have been a potential revolution to end the idiosyncratic Islamic BET rule in Chad that began decades earlier with Hissene Habre. Chad itself is divided in half, with the southern half of the nation being lethargic black-African and generally Christian, and the north the home of curious sedentary and nomadic ethnic Muslim tribes who all have one thing in common. They love to fight. (This aspect was well known to the Janjaweed in the Sudan who made attacks on Darfur's Zaghawa an especial priority.) We shall now see how the Israel's direct involvement in the African Sahil turns out.

Abbas succession battle could ‘collapse’ Palestinian Authority, think tank says
[IsraelTimes] International Crisis Group warns aging and unpopular Paleostinian leader has no successor, has hollowed out government institutions, setting stage for chaos when he vacates office

The future battle to succeed Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
could trigger "mass protest, repression" and the outright collapse of the Paleostinian Authority, the International Crisis Group (ICG) said Wednesday.

The think tank released its forecast a day after the aging and increasingly unpopular 87-year-old Abbas met in Ramallah with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who urged calm amid a spike in Israeli-Paleostinian violence.

Given Abbas’s age and persistent rumors about his health, speculation on his successor is common in the West Bank, where the Paleostinian Authority (PA) is based.

The Brussels-based ICG predicted in its report that "elections based on legal procedures" were "the least likely" outcome when Abbas vacates the presidency.

Abbas heads the PA, the Paleostine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Fatah, the secular political movement founded by the late Paleostinian leader Yasser Arafat.

Abbas was elected president after Arafat died in 2004. Paleostinians have had no presidential elections since despite Abbas’s term officially expiring in 2009.

The think tank’s report said Abbas, who has been unwilling to designate a successor, has also "hollowed out or disabled the institutions and procedures that would otherwise decide who will take his place."

It is therefore "unclear who will succeed him, and by what process," ICG said, warning of a possible "descent into mass protest, repression, violence and even the PA’s collapse."

According to the report, any last-ditch effort to name a successor to ease a transition process "would go awry."

Abbas has repeatedly called off plans to hold presidential polls, as recently as 2021 when he scrapped scheduled elections, blaming Israel’s refusal to allow voting in east Jerusalem, which Paleostinians claim as their future capital.

Paleostinian experts widely suspected Abbas backed away from the polls over fears Fatah would be trounced by Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",, the terrorist group that controls the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip.

While Abbas has not named a successor, he has elevated PA civil affairs minister Hussein al-Sheikh, whom he tapped for the number two spot in the PLO.

The ICG report named Sheikh and PA intelligence chief Majid Faraj as possible successors.

Though the two men hold significant power within the PA and are seen as able to work with the international community, the report noted "neither has been able to win much support in Paleostinian society."

It identified second-tier "would-be successors," among them Paleostinian Football Association chief Jibril Rajoub, prime minister Mohammed Shtayyeh and Mohammed Dahlan, a former Fatah chief and security minister exiled to the United Arab Emirates after falling out with Abbas.

"Each of these men has his own network," the report said, but none "could stand on his own."

US defense chief visits troops, discusses anti-terror cooperation in southern Philippines
[BenarNews] United States Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin III visited a military base Wednesday in the southern Philippines, where about 100 American troops are helping their Filipino counterparts in operations against the remnants of bad boy groups linked to Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
holy warriors.

Austin, who arrived in the Philippines late Tuesday, landed at the Edwin Andrews Air Base in Zamboanga before noon and immediately went to the Western Mindanao Command where he met with Philippine military chief Gen. Andres Centino.

"He visited the U.S. troops that are here and made sure that they are OK," Philippine regional military chief Lt. Gen. Roy Galido told news hounds, referring to an American joint special operations team posted in Zamboanga.

Galido sidestepped questions about whether Austin promised new military assistance.

"They (American troops) are here to help us in our mission, especially in counter-terrorism and HADR (humanitarian and disaster relief operations)."

Austin is expected to meet on Thursday with his Philippine counterpart, Carlito Galvez Jr., to discuss strengthening bilateral defense cooperation in the face of China’s territorial challenges in the South China Sea.

A senior U.S. defense official said this alliance would help the Philippines defend its illusory sovereignty and prevent Chinese coercion which the Southeast Asian nation is "facing on a day-to-day basis," according to information published on the U.S. Department of Defense website.

The official, who was not named, noted that China is acting up in the region despite losing the 2016 international court ruling favoring Philippine territorial claims in the strategic waterway.

"What the Philippines is trying to do is uphold its rights," the official said. "And we’re trying to help them do that in the same way we are with other partners around the region. That’s what this is really about, not about simply countering China."

MARAWI
In 2017, a small team of U.S. troops assisted Philippine forces in defeating pro-Islamic State (IS) turbans who had seized the city of Marawi, a predominantly Moslem city in the southern Philippines.

While the American troops were restricted from combat operations, they helped their Filipino counterparts gather intelligence that led to victory in the five-month battle where at least 1,200 bad boys, government forces and non-combatants were killed.

After the battle, then-Philippine Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana blamed a significant drawdown of American forces in troubled areas of the south as a factor that allowed IS forces of Evil to infiltrate local Moslem bad boy groups ahead of the siege.

While the longtime allies have carried on with joint military exercises, only about 100 American troops remain on a rotational basis in the south, where they serve in advisory roles.

Austin’s visit to the Philippines is intended to accelerate the implementation of Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA), according to Rommel Banlaoi, a counter-terrorism analyst at the Philippine Institute for Peace, Violence and Terrorism Research.

Signed in Manila on April 28, 2014, the agreement allows the U.S. to rotate troops into the Philippines for extended stays and allows Washington to build and operate facilities on Philippine bases.

The U.S. is working on expanding its access in Philippine territories to support the U.S. Indo-Pacific strategy where the alliance with Manila is essential in countering China’s growing influence in the region, Banlaoi said.

Austin is the second highest American official to visit the Philippines since November, when Vice President Kámala Harris
Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's former mistress, then a senatrix from California, and then a former 2020 Dem presidential hopeful. She dropped out because she was polling in negative numbers because of racism or misogyny or something like that. Her father is a Marxist professor emeritus at Stanford and her mother is an Indian of the Hindoo tribe. She is reputedly the proud descendant of a long line of women. Joe Biden picked her for her skin tone, feeling she could also bring in the Native American, women's, and bimbo votes. She's an outstanding exemplar of the Peter Principle, proudly displaying her level of competence in her handling of the Biden Border Surge
traveled trip to Palawan, an island on the frontline of the territorial dispute with China over the South China Sea. Harris pledged then that Washington would come to Manila’s aid if China attacked the Philippines.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
New report sheds light on Turkey’s ‘systematic oppression’ against Kurds in Afrin
[Rudaw] A report published by two Syrian rights groups on Wednesday reveals a "systematic oppression policy" by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
and its Syrian mercenaries against the residents of the Kurdish city of Afrin in northwest Syria, based on the testimonies of 40 victims.

Kurdish forces controlled Afrin after Syrian regime forces withdrew from it in the beginning of an uprising in the country in 2011. However,
it's easy to be generous with someone else's money...
Turkey and its Syrian mercenaries invaded the city in 2018, causing the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Kurds as well as committing crimes against those who stayed.

Human Rights Organization-Afrin and Syrians for Truth and Justice (STJ) on Wednesday published a joint report which is based on interviews with 40 victims of the Ottoman Turkish invasion of the city. The testimonies were taken between 2021 and early 2022.

"Witnesses shared their traumatic experiences of torture and ill-treatment during their visits to detention centres. They described arbitrary arrests, cruel torture, and acts of sexual violence. Most of the arrests were made in March 2018 by the Ottoman Turkish Army and allied Syrian gangs after Turkey’s invasion of Afrin," reads the report. "After their release, most of the victims fled Afrin towards IDP camps and safe areas in Aleppo for fear of being rearrested, as has happened to survivors who remained in Afrin."

All the interviewed victims were Kurds, except for six Arabs. Twenty-five of them were male and the rest were females, including a young child, according to the paper.

One of the victims is a woman who says she was kidnapped by three button men when Afrin was invaded. She was initially taken to a detention centre in the city and then along with six other women and 37 men she was transferred to a prison in the Kilis province inside Turkey. Later, they were all returned to Afrin and kept in a military base of the mercenaries "where they saw dozens of detained women."

The witnesses told both rights organizations that the Turkey-backed gangs converted the homes of people into detention centres.

A female victim recounted that she was put in a communal cell where she was repeatedly interrogated for over five days. "They tortured me brutally by beating me with a four-conductor cable and gave me electric shocks. There were more than 20 women in the room, some of whom had their children with them. The prisoners insulted me and called me an ’infidel’ because I am Yazidi and forced me to convert to Islam."

’ Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic said in a report in 2020 that the residents of Afrin and Sari Kani (Ras al-Ain), which was occupied by Turkey and its Syrian proxies in 2019, "witnessed an onslaught of violations perpetrated by members of the Syrian National Army as well as shelling and vehicle-borne improvised bombs," referring to the military alliance of Turkey-backed groups which was previously called Free Syrian Army

"During the period under review, the Commission corroborated repeated patterns of systematic looting and property appropriation as well as widespread arbitrary deprivation of liberty perpetrated by various Syrian National Army brigades in the Afrin and Ra’s alAyn regions. After civilian property was looted, Syrian National Army fighters and their families occupied houses after civilians had fled, 50 or ultimately coerced residents, primarily of Kurdish origin, to flee their homes, through threats, extortion, murder, abduction, torture and detention," reads the report.

Geagea rules out deal with Bassil, rejects president not backed by Christians

chief Jebran Bassil in the presidential file, as he warned against electing a president not enjoying the support of the two main Christian parties — the LF and the FPM.

"A president cannot be elected against the will of Christians. If someone believes that they can elect a president against the will of the majority of Christians, then they are mistaken. This is not a way to behave, seeing as everyone knows the reality of constitutional posts," Geagea said in an interview with Kuwait’s al-Rai newspaper.

"With such a proposal, instead of making a step that would restore the confidence of the Lebanese in their state and the confidence of the world in Lebanon Hezbollahstan

, you would be starting without the confidence of the majority of the Lebanese," Geagea added.

As for the nomination of Army Commander General Joseph Aoun for the post of president, the LF leader said: "If the problem would be solved through the election of the army chief, we would not mind."

chief Suleiman Franjieh is about to secure 65 votes, Geagea said Bassil’s call for agreeing on a third candidate "entails deception."

"So far, Bassil thinks that he can be the serious candidate, and if after a month or two or three finds out that he is incapable of being a serious candidate, he will seek to have the main say in the president," the LF leader added.

Asked about the deteriorating relation between the FPM and Hezbollah, Geagea said: "In my opinion, whatever happens, Bassil and Hezbollah will not end their alliance. They disagree over certain interests, but they will not go separate ways, because the interests that Hezbollah provides for Bassil cannot be provided by anyone else and vice versa."

Iran says Iraq-based Kurd groups 'involved' in drone attack
[TWITTER]

Iran
...They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
has accused Iraq-based Kurdish groups of being "involved" in a drone attack last week against a defence ministry site in the central province of Isfahan, Iranian media reported Wednesday.

"Parts of the drones that attacked the workshop complex of the defence ministry in Isfahan, along with kabooms, were transferred to Iran with the participation and guidance of the Kurdish anti-revolutionary groups based in Iraq's Kurdistan region," Nour news agency said.

Iranian authorities reported an "unsuccessful" drone attack late Saturday that targeted a defence ministry "workshop complex" in Isfahan province, home to the Natanz nuclear enrichment facility.

An anti-aircraft system destroyed one drone and two others went kaboom!, the defence ministry said, adding that there were no casualties and only minor damage to the site.

Nour charged that Kurdish groups brought the drone parts and kabooms into Iran from "one of the hardly accessible routes in the northwest" upon "the order of a foreign security service".

The news agency, considered close to the Islamic republic's Supreme National Security Council, did not specify which country's security service it accused of being behind the attack. It said the drone parts were delivered to the "service's liaison in a border city".

"The parts and materials have been assembled and used for sabotage in an advanced workshop by trained forces," Nour said.

Some Western media have blamed the attack on Iran's arch foe Israel.

Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region hosts camps and rear-bases operated by several Iranian Kurdish rebel groups, which Iran has accused of serving Western or Israeli interests in the past.

In November, Iran launched cross-border missile and dronezaps against several of the groups in Iraq, accusing them of stoking the nationwide protests triggered by the death in jug in September of Iranian Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini.
