Google diversity head said Jews have an "insatiable appetite for war"
h/t HotAir
Google’s head of diversity strategy said in a 2007 blog post that Jews have an "insatiable appetite for war" and an "insensitivity to the suffering [of] others." The comments were part of a longer meditation from Kamau Bobb, now head of diversity strategy at Google, that also slammed Israel’s military actions in Gaza and Lebanon that same year.
Kamau Bobb is an authority in the national effort to achieve equity in the STEM education landscape.

FBI agent charged in off-duty shooting of man on subway
[FoxNews] An FBI agent has been charged with attempted murder in the off-duty shooting of another man on a Metro subway train last year in a Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C., according to court records unsealed Tuesday.

The agent, Eduardo Valdivia, made his initial court appearance Tuesday afternoon in Montgomery County Circuit Court on charges including attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Valdivia, 37, turned himself in to local authorities at a county jail Tuesday morning, according to Chief Deputy Maxwell Uy of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Valdivia appeared at bond review hearing on a video conference call from jail Tuesday afternoon and Judge Joan Ryon agreed to release him on personal recognizance. Prosecutors didn’t object.

The charges stem from a Dec. 15 shooting on a train near Medical Center Station in Bethesda. Police for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority said in a Dec. 18 statement that the agent fired multiple shots after the man had approached him that morning and they exchanged words.

The statement said the wounded man was in stable condition less than a week after the shooting. It didn’t elaborate on the nature of the "verbal exchange" between him and the agent just before the shooting.

Robert Bonsib, a lawyer for Valdivia, said in a lengthy statement that his client "has had an impeccable personal and professional background." He joined the bureau in 2011, and at the time of the shooting, was providing "operational guidance and programmatic oversight" of FBI investigations targeting racially motivated and anti-government extremists.

Valdivia was on his way to work on the morning of the shooting when he was confronted by a man who Bonsib said "engaged in threatening and aggressive behavior" at close range.

When the man asked Valdivia for money on the train, the agent said no and the man muttered expletives while walking away, Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Robert Hill said during Tuesday’s hearing. Valdivia told the man, "Watch your mouth," and the man turned around and approached Valdivia, who told him to back up multiple times. Valdivia shot the man from 2 to 3 feet away, Hill said, and did not identify himself as an agent until after the shooting. The man had part or all of his spleen, colon and pancreas removed during surgery after the shooting.

"One does not wait to be physically attacked — one does not wait until the threat has ’hands on you — before one is authorized to defend oneself," Bonsib wrote in his statement. "Neither does one need to retreat — when retreat is not possible — as was not possible here when Eddie Valdivia was seated at the end of the Metro car" with his back against the wall and "no clear exit path."

Bonsib also signaled his plans to invoke in his client’s defense the background of the man who was shot in asserting that the shooting was justified. He attached documents showing a lengthy criminal history that he said matched the identity of the shooting victim, including arrests for prior sexual misconduct — such as exposing himself — as well as unprovoked physical attacks. Bonsib said court records indicate the wounded man has a history of unpredictable and violent behavior, including an 2019 incident in which the man allegedly attacked and threatened to kill somebody at a Metro station.

The indictment names the man who was shot and also a second man, who it identifies as the victim of the reckless endangerment charge.

In a 911 call released in January, a witness said the agent had warned the man to back away, but the man ignored the command and instead prepared to fight him, the Washington Post reported.

"The FBI agent said: ‘Move away. I’m an FBI agent. Back away,’" the 911 caller said. "The other gentleman didn’t, dropped his bag, approached him to fight him."

The caller said the FBI agent was attacked by the other passenger but did not describe how.

The Medical Center station serves the National Institutes of Health and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Palestinian factions to meet in Cairo next week for talks on ending division
[AlAhram] Paleostinian factions are set to meet in Cairo next week for a new round of National Paleostinian Dialogue amid Egyptian endeavours to end the Paleostinian division and achieve stability in the Paleostinian territories.

Paleostinian group Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,, which controls the Gazoo

The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. , Egypt's state-owned news agency MENA reported on Tuesday.

Egypt sent a high-level security delegation, led by Kamel, to Israel and the Paleostinian territories to discuss means to solidify a ceasefire Cairo brokered between the Paleostinian factions and Israeli troops.

Paleostinian factions in the coastal enclave assured Egypt their commitment to the ceasefire truce as long as Israel abides by it.

El-Sisi ordered on Tuesday Egyptian officials to take a "swift" action in all Paleostinian files at the same time to achieve stability in the Paleostinian territories in coordination with President Abbas.

Abbas appreciated El-Sisi's efforts to rearrange the internal Paleostinian front and call for factions' meeting next week.

On Monday, El-Sisi said Egypt was exerting strenuous efforts to solidify the truce to allow for the resumption of negotiations between Paleostine and Israel in cooperation with all international powers, on top of them the United States.

He reiterated Egypt's support for the Paleostinian people and leaders.

He said that Egypt is keen on Paleostinian reconciliation as soon as possible, urging for unifying the internal Paleostinian front under the umbrella of the Paleostinian Liberation Organization, which is led by Abbas.

The Egyptian president has also called on all regional and international powers to support the Egyptian efforts to rebuild the Gaza Strip, whose infrastructure was devastated over the 11-day Israel bombing campaign.

Nigeria's president threatens rebels amid rising violence in southeast
[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] People who promote insurrection in Nigeria face a "rude shock", its president warned on Tuesday, raising the possibility of a fierce crackdown on rising violence in the southeast that has included arson attacks on cop shoppes and electoral offices.
And I, for one, believe him.
Security forces are already grappling with criminal gangs in the northwest who carry out mass kidnappings for ransom, a decade-old Islamist insurgency in the northeast, and piracy in the Gulf of Guinea off Nigeria’s southern coast.

Electoral offices and cop shoppes have been burned down in recent months across the southeast, a region where armed gangs have carried out a series of killings of coppers, prompting a police operation in May.

Nigerian authorities have blamed those attacks on a banned separatist group, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB),
...an Igbo group that suddenly appeared out of the ferment of Biafran unhappiness in 2012, headed by a Nigerian radio personality living in Britain...
and what police call its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network. But the IPOB has repeatedly denied involvement.

The statement issued by the office of President Muhammadu Buhari, who previously led Nigeria as a military ruler in the early 1980s, said "a rude shock" awaits "those bent on destroying the country through promoting insurrection, and burning down critical national assets".

It referred to the 1967-70 civil war fought over the secession of an area in Nigeria’s far southeast called Biafra that killed one million people.

"Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through (that) war, will treat them in the language they understand. We are going to be very hard sooner than later," Buhari, who served in the army against the secessionists, was quoted as saying.

On Monday the streets of towns across the southeast were quiet and businesses were shuttered after the IPOB urged people to stay at home to commemorate those who died in the war.

The presidency statement said there had been 42 attacks on offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission in recent months across 14 states.

Fifth Column
'I Learned the Ugly Truth': Minnesota BLM Founder Calls it Quits
[Townhall] In a video posted to YouTube on Sunday, the founding member of a Black Lives Matter organization in Minnesota announced he was quitting the group after realizing the true aims of BLM's leaders did not line up with the needs of his hometown's black community.

"I believed the organization stood for exactly what the name implies—black lives do matter," explained Rashad Turner in the video announcing his decision to step away from BLM after helping create the chapter in St. Paul, Minnesota.

"However,
some men learn by reading. A few learn by observation. The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves...
after a year on the inside, I learned they had little concern for rebuilding Black families. And they cared even less about improving the quality of education for students in Minneapolis. That was made clear when they publicly denounced charter schools alongside the teacher's union."

"I was an insider in Black Lives Matter and I learned the ugly truth. The moratorium on charter schools does not support rebuilding the black family, but it does create barriers to a better education for black children. I resigned from Black Lives Matter after a year and a half, but I didn't quit working to improve black lives and access to a great education" says the now-president and executive director of Minnesota Parent Union, an organization created to help parents send their children to better schools.

Turner also explains why he decided to set up a Black Lives Matter chapter in St. Paul, based on what he describes as a desire to create pathways to success for young people in his community:

"When I was two years old, my father was shot and killed. My mother wasn't able to take care of me, so I was raised by my grandparents. They told me that if I was going to change my life for the better, education was the answer. So I worked hard in school, I got into Hamline University, and earned a college degree—the first in my family. Then I went on to earn a master's in education from St. Mary's University of Minnesota.

I am living proof that no matter your start in life, quality education is a pathway to success. I want the same success for our children in our communities. That's why, in 2015, I was a founder of Black Lives Matter in St. Paul."

The Black Lives Matter organization admitted its anti-family aims before quietly deleting language on its website that declared its desire to "disrupt" the western nuclear family because of the harm caused by "patriarchal" fathers, so it's not a surprise BLM activists are realizing the police-defunding, family-opposing mission of the larger organization is antithetical to safe and strong communities.

They already achieved that in their community. Check the stats for out of wedlock births 1960 to today. Then check the crime stats for the same periods. Seems a lot of harm is being done by the government funded urban 'matriarchy'.

Senator Lindsey Graham: Arab leaders say they’ll enrich uranium at levels approved for Iran
[IsraelTimes] In Jerusalem, Lindsey Graham says Israel will request $1 billion to replenish Iron Dome after Gazoo conflict; citing strong bipartisan support, he predicts Congress will approve it.

A senior US senator revealed that Arab leaders have told him privately that they will insist on being allowed to enrich uranium to the same levels and amounts that the international community permits Iran.

"If you don’t watch it, we’re going to wake up one day very soon and there will be enrichment programs all over the Mideast," said South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham

Iraq
Al-Khazali: Al-Kadhimi is violating the law
[SHAFAQ] The Secretary-General of Asaib Ahl al-Haq Movement, the villainous-looking Qais al-Khazali
......sinister-looking Iranian stooge, Secretary General of Persian proxy militia Asaib Ahl al-Haq, wannabe Nasrallah......
accused Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi of being hostile to al-Hashd al-Shaabi.

Al-Khazali said in an interview, "We rejected the arrest of the commander of al-Anbar and Karbala operations command in al-Hashd al-Shaabi, Qassem Musleh, for violating the legal contexts."

"The accusation was initially directed against Ali Musleh (the brother of Qasim Musleh), but God knows how, and as a result of interferences in from inside Karbala, he was replaced by Qassem Musleh."

He added, "one of the reasons for the arrest is a lawsuit from Ihab al-Wazani's mother against four parties, including the commander of Karbala operations command, the governor of Karbala, and the Imam Hussein shrine security force. So the question is, why was not the arrest warrant implemented against the other three figures against whom the case was filed, and how did Qasssem replace Ali?"

"There was not enough evidence to issue the arrest warrant against Musleh. However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
arresting him that way in this timing proves that this is a political targeting that occurred one day after the demonstrations", he noted.

"When someone becomes Prime Minister, that does not mean that he has become infallible or the state and the law. If we accept this logic, this will make us return to dictatorship and the police state."

Al-Khazali said, "al-Kadhimi's move is a media show. However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
he is supposed to be protecting the PMF. The adversary between the PMF and the PM is only Unilateral from the PMF's side only", hinting that it emerged from the PM's support to the US presence in Iraq.

"Accusing al-Hashd's leaders and affiliates of targeting the demonstrators falls within the second policy of the government," noting, "the accused is innocent until proven guilty and what is happening is an unprecedented defamation."

Khazali said, "There are protesters' killers known to the security forces, and the demonstrators know them by name. al-Hashd is targeted because of its conviction that the American forces will be removed by force."

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Amid shaky Gaza ceasefire, Hamas calls for West Bank ‘Day of Rage’ on Friday
[IsraelTimes] Terror group pushes for violent mostly peaceful confrontations at checkpoints and against Israeli settlers in order to ’defend the land and holy sites’.
"and to build up to Amazon's Black Friday sales! Allahu Akhbar! Great savings and rage!"
The Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw, terror group urged Paleostinians to hold a "Day of Rage" on Friday in order to confront what it called "settlers’ aggression" and the "storming of the al-Aqsa Mosque" in Jerusalem.

"This aggression will be met by our people with further resistance and confrontation," the terror group said in a statement.

Despite the ceasefire mostly holding between Israel and the terror group in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip, the Hamas leadership was apparently still pushing for further unrest in the region.

Hamas called upon Paleostinians to block Israeli bypass roads in the West Bank and to confront "settlers who are working to impose a fait accompli under the auspices of the occupation government."

The group also called on Paleostinians to march toward the so-called points of friction in the West Bank — checkpoints that see violent mostly peaceful festivities with Israel Defense Forces soldiers on a weekly basis.

The protests were planned for the day before Naksa Day, which commemorates the Arab loss in the 1967 Six Day War and is generally marked on June 5.

"We affirm that the masses of our people are ready to engage in the project of national liberation and to defend the land and the holy sites," the terror group said in a statement on Tuesday.

Israel and Hamas concluded 11 days of fighting last month during which the terror group launched thousands of rockets at Israeli cities and towns, and Israel launched hundreds of retaliatory Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s in the Gaza Strip.

Since the ceasefire took effect on May 20, there has been no rocket fire from Gaza toward Israel. However,
today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday...
on Sunday night a Paleostinian who crossed from the Strip stabbed a security guard, lightly injuring him outside an Israeli town near the enclave. On Monday, a fire in southern Israel was apparently sparked by a balloon-borne incendiary device launched from the Gaza Strip.

Channel 13 news reported last week that senior defense officials described the ceasefire as "very unstable."

In the most recent round of fighting, the Paleostinian terror groups tied the rocket fire from Gaza to the unrest in Jerusalem, connected to both festivities on the Temple Mount during the Moslem holy month of Ramadan, and the pending eviction of a number of Paleostinian families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

According to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry, 253 Paleostinians were killed during the fighting, including 66 children. Paleostinian terror groups in Gaza have said 80 of the total casualties were combatants, though Israel says the true figure is higher. Thirteen people in Israel, including a 5-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, were killed. Israel says some of the Gaza fatalities were caused by Gaza rocket fire that fell short and landed in Gaza.

Breaking — Iranian Navy’s largest ship sinks…

The blaze began around 2:25 a.m. and firefighters tried to contain it, Fars said. The vessel sank near the Iranian port of Jask, some 1,270 kilometers (790 miles) southeast of Tehran on the Gulf of Oman near the Strait of Hormuz — the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf.

#6  ....Consider this - Kharg was able to refuel two ships at a time and VERTREP a third. Makran - their 'floating base' currently underway out-of-theater and likely headed for Venezuela - could underway refuel one (albeit with a field expedient refueling rig) and VERTREP another. Between the two, that's a pretty respectable capability.

Except that Kharg is on the bottom and Makran is a looooooooooong way from home. So until Makran gets back, the Iranian navy is tied to its ports; they have no strategic mobility in their own home waters whatsoever.

And if anything happens to the Makran....

Lebanon's economic crisis among world's worst in more than 150 years: World Bank
[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] The World Bank says Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady human sacrifice days of Baal Moloch...
’s economic collapse is likely to rank among the world’s worst financial crises since the mid-19th century.

According to a report published by the World Bank on Tuesday, the economic and financial crisis in Lebanon is likely to be among the top 10 or possibly the top three most severe crises the world has seen in more than 150 years.

The report said Lebanon’s economy contracted by 6.7 percent in 2019 and 20.3 percent in 2020, and predicted that it would shrink by nearly 10 percent in 2021, stressing that there is "no clear turning point on the horizon."

The World Bank said such brutal economic collapses are blamed on mismanagement by the political elite, and that "policy responses by Lebanon’s leadership to these challenges have been highly inadequate."

The monetary institution warned in its report of "potential triggers to social unrest" in Lebanon as the country is grappling with political and economic crises.

"The sharp deterioration in basic services would have long-term implications: mass migration, loss of learning, poor health outcomes, lack of adequate safety nets, among others," the report added.

The increasingly dire economic satiation over the past 18 months in the Arab country is widely blamed on corruption, the US sanctions, the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic, and a devastating explosion at Beirut port that left more than 200 people dead

Lebanon has been without a government since last August.

Lebanon’s economy has been in a free-fall state since former Prime Minister Saad Hariri
...Second son of Rafik Hariri, the Leb PM who was assassinated in 2005. He has was prime minister in his own right from 2009 through early 2011. He was born in Riyadh to an Iraqi mother and graduated from Georgetown University. He managed his father's business interests in Riyadh until his father's assassination. When his father died he inherited a fortune of some $4.1 billion, which won't do him much good if Hizbullah has him bumped off, too....
announced his resignation and that of his cabinet in October 2019.

The Lebanese pound has continued to plummet against the US dollar, losing 90 percent of its value in just two years while sources of foreign currency have dried up.
