US presence in Afghanistan caused 'immense suffering' to civilians: Karzai
[Iran Press TV] Afghanistan's former President Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai
...One of the more egregious mistakes of the post 9-11 era...
says the US military presence in the country on the pretext of fighting terrorism has caused "immense suffering" to the civilians and the country's infrastructure."US military activity in Afghanistan in the name of fighting the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
was causing immense suffering to the Afghan civilians and Afghan people. Children were getting hurt, women were getting hurt, families were getting hurt, homes were bombed, villages were bombed," Karzai said in an exclusive interview with Press TV on Sunday.

"US [presence] in Afghanistan was not for peace and also probably not for improved relations between us and Pakistain," he added.

The former Afghan president also touched on the issue of intra-Afghan talks and their failure to bring peace to the country, saying he gave his full backing to the US initiative but such a process failed to yield the desired results and that "the prolongation of the talks has caused even more suffering, more conflicts."

Pointing to a call by Afghanistan's Caped President Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money...
to form a united and national front against the Taliban, Karzai expressed his opposition to conflict and urged both sides to stop fighting.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Karzai defended calling the Taliban "brothers" despite the group never welcoming his peace proposal.

"I would be calling specially and in particular on the Taliban to stop attacking their own country, their own villages, their own homes. I would be strongly calling on the Taliban to stop this war of foreign interests in Afghanistan," Karzai underlined.

He warned that attacks by the Taliban serve the interests of foreign powers and could lead to internal uprising against the bad boy group itself.

"If they don't stop and continue to attack Afghan homes and villages and attack Afghan dignity, there would be an uprising against them as it has already happened. And I as a citizen of Afghanistan will be with that uprising and in support of that uprising."

[LIBYAREVIEW] On Monday, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army (LNA), reshuffled a number of senior military commanders and heads of military zones, on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the founding of the National Army on 10 August, in the Abu Rawash area west of the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

According to the decisions, Lieutenant-General Abdullah Al-Thinni, the former Prime Minister of the Libyan Interim Government, was assigned to head the political administration of the armed forces, and Major General Hashem Burqa’a Al-Kazah was assigned as Commander of the Tobruk Military Zone.

Haftar also decided to reorganise the Greater Sirte Operations Room, and assign Major General Ahmed Salem as its Commander. He also promoted Major General Mohamed Al-Manfour to the rank of Lieutenant-General and appointed him as Chief of Staff of the Libyan Air Force.

Libyan Army Official: We Will Not Allow Any Foreign Forces to Remain in Our Country
[LIBYAREVIEW] A member of Libya’s 5 + 5 Joint Military Commission (JMC), and Military Prosecutor, Major General Faraj al-Sousa called on the government to cancel all agreements with all foreign states, "if it is truly a Government of National Unity (GNU)."Al-Sousa claimed that the JMC’s mission is to insist on implementing the outputs of two Berlin Conference’s, including the withdrawal of all foreign forces from the country, after securing the reopening of the Coastal Road. He stated that they would demand that the United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
hold a meeting in Geneva to meet the sponsoring countries of the Berlin I-II agreements, and ensure the withdrawal of all imported muscle and mercenaries from the country, without any preconditions.

Ottoman Turkish Defence Minister, Hulusi Akar’s recent statement, in which he claimed that Ottoman Turkish forces were not unwanted foreign troops in Libya, were completely rejected by al-Sousa. He added that the agreement that was made with the Government of National Accord (GNA) is not approved by Parliament, and is not supported by the Libyan people.

"We are determined to liberate Libya and return its freedom and independence without any foreigners in its lands. We will not allow any foreigner to enter its lands, even international observers. Our condition to the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) is that they be retired soldiers and without weapons. We will not accept any armed foreigners in our country," he stated.

In reference to the recently reopened Coastal Road, he stated that the situation was normal, and merchants and travellers were using the road without any obstacles. He said that the JMC may hold a meeting soon to discuss unifying the military institution.

Al-Sousa pointed out that the JMC is backed by the United Nations and the Security Council, in support of the Berlin Conference outcomes, to ensure the exit of all foreign forces from Libya, "even if this leads to engaging with them in a military confrontation to expel them from the country."

He noted that the instructions of the LNA Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all. Actually, he is, but slowly...
are to "constantly follow up and relieve the suffering of citizens and not to violate agreements." He added that media channels that are politically affiliated with militias, or those that support the Moslem Brüderbund are trying to disrupt the work of the JMC.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Sergei Kovalyov dies at 91
Some excerpts translated via Google Translate.
[TheGuardian] An individual tagged as a human rights activist, Kovalyov is widely reviled by Russian military as a murderer and terrorist enabler, for his role in the murder of several Russian soldiers held in captivity in Grozny, Chechnya, in early 1995.

According to Wikipedia:

Sergei Kovalyov was accused by Russian General Gennady Troshev, that during the Battle of Grozny, Kovalyov offered Russian soldiers to surrender. He promised that their life, health and honor would be preserved. But most of those who gave up were killed.

Russian nationalist Alexander Prokhanov in his Zavtra newspaper also accused Kovalyov in mistreatment of Yevgeny Rodionov's mother, Lyubov Vasilievna.

According to Prokhanov, she asked for Kovalyov's help in finding her kidnapped and later killed son in 1996, but he roared in response: "Why did you come to me? You raised the murderer".

From the memoirs of Russian General Gennady Troshev:

In the battles for Grozny, the first prisoners appeared, around whom they turned battles involving Moscow politicians, human rights activists and journalists.

The then Commissioner for Rights played a particularly bad role in this person in the Russian Federation called S. Kovalev, who openly called on our soldiers to surrender in captivity under his mighty guarantees of liberation. And about what awaits them in captivity of "good" Chechens, they did not think too much. I will quote here the words of the captain Sergei N., who languished for eight months in a pit near Shali:

"I asked God for one thing - die faster ...

On beatings, sadistic torture, public executions and other "charms" of the Chechen captivity can be said for a long to him, the reader will not be surprised. But now the chopping off of heads, the removal of skin and scalps from living soldiers, crucified bodies in the windows of houses, the federal troops for the first time collided in Grozny."

Digging a little deeper in the Ben & Jerry’s announcement. Back on July 19, 2021, B&J's only stated that it would no longer sell its ice cream in Palestinian territories occupied by Israel.

Note: Its an area too much like a War Zone.
Note: We tried B&J's Ice cream some years ago and did not care for the taste.

However, the Council on American–Islamic Relations
aka C.A.I.R. being a Anti-Israeli Islamic Special Interest Group. Jumps on any Media Bandwagon opportunity to rake in some attention and promote its agenda.

So to give CAIR what it wants, here is some deeper insight of this Antisemitic group.

1st using their own Web site.

2020-Biden Agenda

2nd A well known website that collects investigative info on CAIR.
www.anti-cair-net-DOT-org, where investigative documents tie CAIR to Islamic Terrorist Groups and puts on display their Leaders own words over the last 20+ years.

eg. "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant," and, "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth." Made by Council on American-Islamic Relations is an extremist organization – founder Omar Ahmad back in 1998

NOTE: Ahmad served as president of CAIR's parent group, the now-defunct Islamic Association for Palestine, or IAP, which was founded in 1981 by Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzook and former university professor Sami al-Arian, who pleaded guilty in 2006 to conspiracy to provide services to Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The U.S. deported Marzook to Jordan in 1997.

Summary:
In my opinion, CAIR's Agenda is that the USA should do things their way and conform only to their Islamic Religion.

#5  CAIR is one of several tentacles of the Muslim Brotherhood in North America. Their portfolio has from formation been the soft jihad of the law, leaving the hard jihad of the sword to those fools eager to risk their own skins. CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case, among others that don’t come to mind at the moment.

Biden administration opens new review of 9/11 documents
[Aljazeera] The US Justice Department is taking a fresh look at secret United States government documents about the September 11, 2001 al-Qaeda attacks with an eye to releasing more information to the public.

The move, welcomed by President Joe Biden in a White House statement, comes as family members of many of nearly 3,000 victims of the 2001 attacks have demanded Biden act.

"As I promised during my campaign, my Administration is committed to ensuring the maximum degree of transparency under the law, and to adhering to the rigorous guidance issued during the Obama-Biden Administration on the invocation of the state secrets privilege," Biden said in a statement released on Monday by the White House.

"In this vein, I welcome the Department of Justice’s filing today, which commits to conducting a fresh review of documents where the government has previously asserted privileges, and to doing so as quickly as possible," Biden said.

In the run-up to the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, family members of victims have sought to pressure Biden to declassify government documents that they contend will show Saudi Arabian leaders supported the attacks.

#2

The problem with ANY Government controlled/stored document or Evidence held for such a long period, is those that have seen a need to adjust the facts to meet their Narrative.

eg. A Sandy Berger - 2003
The former National Security Adviser under the Clinton Administration, illegally took classified documents from the National Archives on more than one occasion.

eg.
Kendra Kingsbury, an employee of the FBI’s Kansas City Division has been indicted by a federal grand jury for illegally removing numerous national security documents from June 2004 to Dec. 15, 2017, that were found in her home.

There is actually a Federal Website that tracks such incidents and suspected tamperings.

Definitely Kabuki dancing...

Last month the Military Commissions prosecutor, BG Mark Martins, suddenly decided to retire after 10 years as the primary prosecutor...something else is on the way from the Biden admin...and Martins likely knows it and does not want to be a part of it.

The families were big fans of BG Martins and suspect foul play is afoot regarding the KSM trial.

#8  #7 Goal could be to eliminate any support for the KSA government

Likely the Biden admin has no clear goal so to speak...just trying to mimic what Obama did when he declassified a large portion of the 9/11 report. And Obama was correct to do so...Biden doesn't have a clue why he is doing what he is doing, just trying to protect his phoney baloney job...harumph.

If Biden was serious he would ship the 9/11 trial judge, prosecutor, and defense team to GTMO and tell them they can come home when the 9/11 KSM trial is complete.

Until then all is Kabuki theater.

Albanians complain about beatings in Syria's militant wife camp
Direct translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] Albanian news agency A2 reported on August 9 that women and children, relatives of ISIS, living in the Al Hawl camp in Syria, are being ill-treated.

Women are beaten and intimidated by other women who previously fought in the ISIS brigade Al Hansaa. In the camp, they advocate for the observance of Sharia law and the laws of ISIS.

Most of the Albanians living in the camp want to return to their homeland, but cannot, while Kosovo and North Macedonia have already managed to return home several dozen women and children, along with their fathers and husbands, who were transferred to local prisons from the Al Hassakah prison.

Lebanon's Amal Movement applauds Hezbollah rocket fire
[Iran Press TV] Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady human sacrifice days of Baal Moloch. In 2020 Hezbollahblew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate faci8lity exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that...
’s Amal Movement has hailed Hezbollah after the resistance movement retaliated Israeli shelling and Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on southern Lebanon with a rocket barrage, emphasizing that the only way to confront the Tel Aviv regime is resistance and adherence to rules of deterrence.

"Confronting the Zionist enemy and preventing it from targeting our land, sea and air is a sacred right," the movement said in a statement released on Monday.

It added, "Victory over Israel can only be achieved through resistance, and establishment of the rules of deterrence and engagement with the enemy."

Hezbollah announced in a statement that its units hit "open fields" near Israeli positions at 11:15 a.m. local time (0815 GMT) on Friday, using "dozens" of 122mm caliber rockets.

Al-Mayadeen television news network said at least 20 rockets were fired at Israel's military positions. al-Minar TV said a number of the rockets targeted the Douf military base.

Israeli media said residents of settlements in the north of the occupied territories had been asked to stay in homes.

Following the retaliatory rocket attack, Israeli prime minister Naftali Bennett and the regime’s minister of military affairs Benny Gantz held an emergency session amid reports of a massive number of sorties conducted by Israeli warplanes over southern Lebanon.

Iraqi anti-terror Kata'ib Hezbollah and al-Nujaba resistance groups, which are part of Hashd al-Sha’abi, reaffirmed their support for Hezbollah, and declared their readiness to stand by it in any case of a possible confrontation with the occupying Israeli regime.

Kata'ib Hezbollah congratulated the Lebanese resistance movement on its "firm response to the recent Zionist regime’s attacks, as well as its violation of international resolutions and Lebanese illusory sovereignty by targeting areas in the southern part of the country."

Hezbollah has proven that it is "fully prepared to confront any adventurism that the Zionist enemy might get involved in," it said, praising "the steadfastness of Lebanese nation in the face of attempts by the Zionist-US-Saudi coalition to drag Lebanon into malicious chaos and vanquish resistance forces."
