Afghanistan
Ahmad Massoud Calls for Political Solution to Problems in Afghanistan
[ToloNews] The leader of the Resistance® Front, Ahmad Massoud, stressed the need for political dialogue to solve the current Afghan problems.

However,
death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate...
he emphasized that as long as the Islamic Emirate will not reach an understanding, there is no other option but to stand against them.

"We have shared our concerns with all western and eastern countries regarding Afghanistan. The situation of Afghanistan needs serious assessment, it needs serious attention. Afghanistan needs to reach political stability through any kind of pressure. The Taliban
...Arabic for students...
or any other group should find a political solution in cooperation with the region and the world to solve the problems of Afghanistan, otherwise, the problems in Afghanistan can once again reach out to the region and world," said Ahmad Massoud, leader of the Resistance® Front," he said.

This comes as the forces of the Resistance® Front have a small foothold in the mountains of Afghanistan.

"The foreigners are supporting the struggles of Ahmad Shah Masoud but no one (Afghans) has so far been ready to support Ahmad Massoud," said Asadullah Nadeem, a political analyst.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shouting match, Bart was wondering if fisticuffs would be appropriate at this point...
analysts said that the opposition will have a negative impact even if it is small.

"War and violence are not the path to a solution. The Islamic Emirate needs to negotiate with its current opponents," said Sayed Haroon Hashimi, a political analyst.

Earlier, officials of the Islamic Emirate repeatedly called on opponents to renounce war and join the Islamic Emirate, however, the leader of the Resistance® Front remains critical of the formation of the current Afghan government.

Arabia
Saudi destruction of historical Yemeni mosque draws condemnation and popular anger
by Emad Almarshahi
July 10, 2022

[HodhodYemenNews] Tihama Organization for Rights, Development and Human Heritage condemned the demolition of the historic Al-Noor Mosque in Al-Khokha, by the US-Saudi mercenaries.

In a statement, the organization said that this crime is among a series of ongoing crimes committed by the US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries against Islamic and historical monuments in Yemen.

It stated that the aggression’s targeting of historical monuments and archaeological sites aims to eliminate the Islamic historical cultural heritage and the faith identity of the Yemeni people.

The organization demanded the international organizations to condemn this criminal act and to protect mosques and historical monuments that are subject to obliteration and distortion by the US-Saudi aggression and mercenaries.

#1  The Saudi govt has destroyed a lot of Saudi historical mosques.

The premise is that it prevents veneration of buildings which is a form of heresy.

Britain
Charges dropped against two men accused of antisemitism in 2021 north London 'hate convoy'

Charges of stirring up racial hatred have been dropped against two men who travelled to north London in a "Convoy For Paleostine" during the war between Israel and Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw, in May last year.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) told Wood Green Crown Court that charges have been dropped against Asif Ali, 26 and Adil Mota, 27.

Both men had travelled from Blackburn in the convoy that drove through London on 16 May 2021.

The CPS is still set to move ahead with its case against two other men also from Blackburn, Mohammed Iftikhar Hanif, 28, and Jawaad Hussain, 25 on charges of "using threatening, abusive or insulting words, or behaviour, with intent, likely to stir up racial hatred".

All four men were arrested after a video circulated on social media in May last year, in which antisemitic abuse could be heard being shouted as vehicles draped with Paleostinian flags travelled in a convoy through or near heavily Jewish areas.

All four men had pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
when they were charged last year. Neither Mr Mota nor Mr Ali was required to attend the court for the hearing on Friday. Their lawyers took part by video link. Mr Mota’s solicitor Ghafar Khan told the JC: "We are glad that the case against our client has been dismissed."We had advanced the innocence of Mr Mota from the outset, he has stressed he is not antisemitic and has nothing against Jewish people."

Mr Khan said his client was part of the convoy that travelled to North London but didn’t take part in the threatening or abusive behaviour. The lawyer said: "There was a car protest in which he took part to protest the difficulties faced in Paleostine for the Paleostinian people."

He added that his client had experienced "what has been a really difficult and stressful time for the past 14 months".

BBC Accuses British SAS of Killing Dozens of Afghan Detainees
The BBC is like the New York Times of England — only with television shows as well as thought-shaping reports... and posh accents.
and paid for by forced taxes whether you watch their shit or not
[KhaamaPress] An investigation by the BBC alleges that the Special Air Service (SAS), a branch of the British special forces, killed a large number of detainees while carrying out counter-insurgency operations in Afghanistan ten years ago.

The channel claimed, based on recently acquired military records, that one SAS unit may have murdered 54 civilians in the southern Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
province arbitrarily between 2010 and 2011.

It further claimed that the former chief of the British Special Forces was aware of the suspected deaths but failed to inform a murder investigation of the evidence.

If a commanding officer learns of possible war crimes, failing to alert the military police is a crime under the British Armed Forces Act.

Reams of SAS operational accounts, containing reports on more than a dozen "kill or capture" missions conducted by one SAS unit in Helmand in 2010—2011, were analyzed by BBC Panorama.

The unit allegedly conducted "kill or capture" missions to seize Taliban
...Arabic for students...
leaders and eliminate bomb-making operations.

The Ministry of Defence stated that while it was unable to comment on particular charges, it should not be seen as endorsing the veracity of those allegations.

Two independent investigations of the conduct of British forces in Afghanistan, according to the ministry, were conducted, but neither produced enough evidence to warrant criminal charges.

The report "jumps to unjustified conclusions from allegations that have already been fully investigated," according to the Ministry of Defense.

As a part of an international coalition established by NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis....
in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, British forces have been stationed in Afghanistan since 2001.

Since 2006, thousands of British soldiers have been placed in Helmand to help provide security for development projects, but they were soon drawn into combat activities.

Last summer, 20 years after the first Western troops were sent to Afghanistan, the final British forces and their NATO allies withdrew from Afghanistan.

Caribbean-Latin America
Mexico to contribute $1.5 billion for infrastructure at US southern border
As Trump projected.
[FoxNews] Mexico will contribute $1.5 billion toward infrastructure at the southern border to improve processing and security, Fox News Digital has learned -- a commitment that comes as Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador visited the White House.
"Hola, Presidente Breakfast Taco! Or should I say 'Taco de desayuno?'"
Lopez Obrador is visiting Washington D.C., where he met with President Biden in a bilateral meeting. A source familiar with the talks said that the $1.5 billion had been committed by Mexico.

It comes as part of a bilateral meeting arranged after Lopez Obrador skipped the Summit of the Americas in June after disagreement over which nations were invited.

During that summit, the U.S. announced a host of commitments, including hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to refugee and migrant causes, extra work visas and expanded refugee resettlement.

Mexico signed onto commitments of its own -- namely in expanding its migration programs and launching a new temporary labor program.

On Tuesday, President Biden noted other moves made by his administration to secure the border, which has been hit by overwhelming border numbers -- with more than 239,000 encounters in May alone. He highlighted joint efforts with Mexico to stop human traffickers, and an operation launched in April to stop smugglers of both migrants and deadly drugs like fetanyl.

"We've had a major anti-smuggling operation underway since April targeting human smugglers who traffic in people, drugs and weapons. Toward this effort we deployed 1,300 additional personnel, conducted 20,000 disruption operations, and we've made over 3,000 arrests, all since April," he said.

Biden also called for more action from the region.

"But as you know, Mr. President, we need every country in the region to join us in tracking this multi-billion dollar smuggling industry that's preying on our most vulnerable, including the fifty three souls who died in a tractor trailer in San Antonio last month," he said.

It tracks with the approach of the administration of viewing migration as a regional, not a U.S.-only challenge. That approach was promoted by the Biden administration at the Summit in Los Angeles, where Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris emphasized their focus on tackling "root causes" in the region and secured the signatures of multiple countries onto a declaration to work together on migration.

There, the White House announced that the U.S. was committing to offering 22,500 H-2B non-agricultural visas to Central America and Haiti, and to resettle 20,000 refugees from the Americas in FY 2023 and 2024 (a three-fold increase from this year), increase reunification programs for Cubans and Haitians, provide an additional $25 million for a crisis response program on migration and commit to a $314 million in funding via the State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for humanitarian and development assistance for refugees and vulnerable migrants across the hemisphere.

The U.S. also promised to increase the resettlement of Haitian migrants, and roll out a new "Fair Recruitment Practices Guidance" for temporary migrant workers, which will be done in cooperation with major corporations like Walmart.

"This is just a start," Biden said. There's much more work remains to state the obvious. Every country needs to work together to maintain a humane, orderly immigration process; to invest in securing the borders, screening and registering migrants who enter their countries and repatriating those who do not qualify to remain."

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 5 it became known that the court arrested for two months the head of the administration of the village of Belaya Rechka in Kabardino-Balkaria Takhir Sozaev, suspected of public calls for extremism. The official was detained on July 2, on the night of July 3, a fire broke out in the village administration building.

Today, Takhir Sozaev, the head of a village from Kabardino-Balkaria, was added to the list of terrorists and extremists, the Telegram channel reported in "Updating the list of extremists and terrorists."

...a Turkic-speaking ethnic group living in the Kabardino-Balkaria region of Russia, which makes this sound more nefarious than it originally appeared at the top of the article...
to speak their native language and not to serve customers who speak Russian in stores.

A resident of the village of Belaya Rechka told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that in the village, where more than 90 percent of the inhabitants are Balkars, there were no interethnic problems. Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Iran agent who was helped by Israelis contacted another 20 citizens – report
[IsraelTimes] Shin Bet said to question individuals, mostly women, and warn them they’d been contacted by enemy intelligence; none had committed offenses yet

An Iranian operative who was already known to have been assisted by five Jewish Israelis, was in contact with around 20 other Israelis, it was reported Monday.

An unnamed source told the Kan public broadcaster that the majority of those 20 individuals were women but that they "did not have time to commit offenses."

The report said that none of the second group of Israelis had been charged, but they had been questioned and warned by the Shin Bet security service that they had been in contact with an Iranian agent.

The report came some six months after the Shin Bet announced it had arrested five Jewish Israelis accused of assisting an Iranian operative, who often pretended to be a Jewish man, in gathering intelligence and making connections in Israel.

In some cases, the suspects told Sherlocks they were aware that he may have been an Iranian intelligence operative, but continued their communications with him anyway, according to the security service. The five suspects — four women and one man — are all Jewish immigrants colonists from Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites....
or the descendants of Iranian immigrants colonists. Their names were barred from publication under a court-issued gag order requested by their attorneys.

According to the Shin Bet, the suspects took photographs of strategically significant sites in Israel, including the US embassy branch in Tel Aviv; attempted to form relationships with politicians; provided information about security arrangements at different sites; and committed other offenses — all at the direction of the Iranian operative, who went by the name Rambod Namdar, in exchange for thousands of dollars.

Two of the suspects also attempted to convince their sons to join an IDF Military Intelligence unit, the Shin Bet said.

However,
a lie repeated often enough remains a lie...
as none of the suspects allegedly involved in the case had access to significant classified material, there was no indication that the spy ring seriously compromised national security. It did, however, reveal a potential weak point that could be used by Iran in the future.

The investigation and resulting indictments shed light on the rare and little-discussed phenomenon of Jews from Iran traveling to Israel to visit family. In one case, such a trip — by one of the suspects’ nieces — was used to transport funds from Iran to Israel in order to pay the Israelis working for Namdar, according to the charge sheet.

Namdar, who maintained profiles on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, pretended to be Jewish in conversations with some of the suspects.

The case was not the first time Israelis have been contacted by alleged Iranian agents. Last year, an Israeli man was nearly tricked into traveling to the United Arab Emirates by an Iranian operative, but called off his trip after hearing about Iranian efforts to kidnap or otherwise harm Israeli citizens.

In 2020, the Shin Bet arrested another Israeli citizen suspected of spying for Iran.
