[ABCnews] Police have identified the suspect in the fatal shooting a long-serving Catholic bishop known as a "peacemaker" in Los Angeles.
Sixty-five-year-old Carlos Medina was arrested in connection with the murder of Auxiliary Bishop David O'Connell, officials said at a Monday press conference. Medina is the husband of the bishop's housekeeper
, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said.
Luna said Medina came to the attention of investigators after a tipster contacted police to report that Medina was 'acting strange, irrational, and making comments about the bishop owing him money.'
A neighbor told the Los Angeles Daily News that Medina was an 'odd person' who was up at all hours of the night to dig in his yard. 'Always on the go, in a rush, and digging stuff,' said the neighbor, Marty Hernandez.
Another neighbor, Luis Lopez, told the newspaper that Medina was a 'good man' and 'always talkative,' adding that though he had quirks, such as obsessively washing his car, even in the rain, he never showed a tendency to violence.

The satirical series ridiculed the couple's demands for privacy while on a publicity blitz for the prince's autobiography 'Waaaah' - a dig at Harry's recent memoir Spare - in last week's brutal episode.
According to a source in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, Meghan spent the last few days ’upset and overwhelmed’ over how she was portrayed. The source told The Spectator that the Duchess of Sussex 'is annoyed by South Park but refuses to watch it all.'
Earlier today, a royal commentator said Harry and Meghan's lawyers are 'casting an eye' over South Park.

South Park is on sometimes when I ride the treadmill at the gym. One time, I chose my machine poorly during a commercial break and was treated to 20 minutes of cartoon characters bouncing around on enlarged scrotums like they were Hoppity Hops. It was nightmarish. My kids thought my plight was hysterical.
With respect to Megan, if she wanted respect and decorum, she fundamentally misunderstood her homeland. Good manners have been optional here since 1776 except for the years when conservatives controlled movie and television content. Meethinks that there was a time when she was in her 20’s that she would have welcomed South Park’s attention.

[DAILYWIRE] Several people were sent to a hospital for burns Monday after a metal factory in the Cleveland area of Ohio went up in flames, creating a large plume of smoke from the building.
Local media reported witnesses heard a big “boom” shortly after 2:00 p.m. at the I Schumann & Co. metal and paint plant in Oakwood Village, which produces copper alloys, in Bedford, Ohio. Several ambulances and authorities raced to the scene to rescue victims and contain the fire.
A local Fox affiliate confirmed authorities transported multiple people to the MetroHealth Medical Center hospital.
News helicopters flying over the scene witness fire and a large plume of smoke coming from the building, which firefighters reportedly have under control.
Several videos posted on social media show debris surrounding the scene and fire-damaged vehicles nearby.

It is a foundry about 20 minutes south of Cleveland. Much of the industry in the state has moved out of the cities into some areas with lots of small medium companies doing good business. Short of other info a foundry accident is not normal but neither is it as unusual as the rash of food processing mishaps.

^ Funny, I lived in Westmoreland County, PeeAye, growing up, and in New Stanton was the Chrysler plant that the gummint built after the Iacocca era bailout. Chrysler left and VW came in. VW left and Sony came in. Each time, there were "tax breaks," but nothing ever caught on there. Sony actually built a glass plant there to make TV picture tubes right before TVs stopped having picture tubes.
There's a successful industrial park on the other side of RT-119 there, but most of the facility described above is old, empty and falling apart.

Huntington Beach is in Orange County which is one of the few remaining California coastal counties where people still vote Republican. Newsom is doing his damnedest to change that.
A spate of state legislation in the past few years has given Newsom the power to usurp local zoning in cities like Huntington Beach and he is going at it with a vengeance especially in places like Huntington where they tend not to vote for him.
Democrats pass these laws, they say, because we need more affordable housing. But it's really because people who live in dense urban environments are not too smart and tend to vote Democrat. Just like when Clinton flooded California with illegal aliens to change our demographics and our voting patterns, Newsom has come upon a new strategy to bring about massive changes in the state's population to make it more favorable for Democrats.
Beware whenever any politician talks about affordable housing. The only way to make California affordable for all the people in the whole wide world who want to come live here is to turn the whole state into a slum. Newsom is determined to do just that.
