California Congresswoman Wants A $25 Minimum Wage in Her State.
Might as well be $225. per hour if there are no jobs.
California Democratic congresswoman Barbara Lee expressed support for a $26 minimum wage in her state -- a move Republican congressman Andy Harris encouraged, assuming jobs would rapidly flee California to his state of Maryland.

Lee and Harris appeared Friday on CNN's "Crossfire," hosted by former Obama advisor Van Jones and former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. The panel discussed the proposed increase in the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 per hour.

#2  Hell, Why not make it $100 an hour, she can't realize that prices would follow it immediately,
$100 Big Macs would be the norm.

For that matter why not $1000 dope deals,(Minimum Wage) it's not WHAT the people are paid, it' what part of it they save.

Obama On The Run?
(FoxNews) Republican senators on Friday put pressure on President Obama to confirm his whereabouts during the night of the Benghazi attack, after an ex-White House spokesman revived the debate by telling Fox News he was not in the Situation Room.

The detail about the president's location the night of the attack is just one of many revelations that have, in a matter of days, kicked up the controversy to a level not seen since last year. After new emails were released raising questions about the White House response to the attack, a key panel on Friday subpoenaed Secretary of State John Kerry and House Speaker John Boehner announced a special investigative committee.

On Friday afternoon, three GOP senators wrote a letter to Obama asking about his whereabouts and spokesman Tommy Vietor's comments to Fox News.

"Last night, the former Communications Director for the National Security Council, Tommy Vietor, stated that on the afternoon and night of September 11, 2012 -- while the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya was under attack -- that you never visited the White House Situation Room to monitor events," they wrote.
Impeachment is now a real possibility. Historic moment.
Not yet. Keep laying the ground-work...

#1  A impeachment trial ain't gonna happen unless the Republicans hold the senate. And then their will only be a conviction if the fix isn't in.

Which by judging the remarks of the Republican leadership about surrendering already on Obamacare and amnesty, is already in.

So this is a distraction and a show trial while the US continues down the tyrant path.

I will be happy to be proven otherwise.

#2  It all swings on the upcoming election results. There are still a few primaries between Rino's and Conservatives and Red state Demos are starting to run scared watching Obama's coat tails shred in the polling data. Obama is trying to please his crony base and thus his own personal money supply but that is coming at the reduction of people who will actually get out and vote for him. For example notice how a big labor union turned on him over the Keystone pipeline. The Dims were pretty confident the could turn Texas Blue with Wendy Davis but now people are jumping her ship and the party leadership is redirecting the money the were going to spend on her. Also look at the Article 5 movement and the number of states that have internal secession movements.

#3  Any open discussion regarding impeachment should be strongly discouraged. The last thing needed is a victimized Champ. Wounded, they're become very desperate and vulnerable as evidenced by the departure of senior players and surfacing of young, headcase twits. I suspect people like Emanuel, Axelrod, and Panetta saw the end coming long ago.

Concentrate on the 25m targets, regime functionaries and criminal facilitators. Eventually a financial misappropriation trail or event will likely surface. The noise and embarrassment could force a resignation due to illness, fatigue, etc. FLOTUS and No-Rent Robinson hate D.C. anyway. If the Beast shrugs off a 2016 run due to legal pressure or failing poll numbers, Plugs could step with Warren and run with it. [he's been quiet lately and Warren, quite visible]

Again, talk of impeachment should be discontinued for now. Wounded prey are easy to track and will eventually go down.

#4  I'll repeat, when the Donks decide that 'he' should go under the bus rather then 'they', stuff will start happening. Not a moment sooner. If and only if that happens the bin is already full of reasons to convict.

#5  Get 'em skeered and keep the skeer on 'em"

Agree Beso. It's a quote from a particularly evil Democrat, General NB Forrest, but apt to the present situation.

#6  Besoeker. Two conditions are needed for impeachment. First: To ahev the necessary majority. Second: That is till not backfireNoxon had to resign because Democrats and their MSM managed to presuade voters what he had done was unforgivable but as long you don't have 60%+ people thinking Obama should be impeached the GOP cannot do something about him. So now instead of complaining go out and talk to your neighbours.

#7  Most of my neighbors are retired pubs who detest 'the one' already. Them that ain't... I seldom ever speak to anyway. In Georgia, it's pretty easy to distinguish the two :-(

#8  Move to Massachusetts. Just kidding but you get the idea. You can be talking about weather or beeleeping a Liberal will never miss an occasion to make a disparaging remark about Bush or Romney. We have to learn to do the same at dinners, at family reunions at Internet forums about sports: mention Benghazzy, the IRS, the fall in freddom of expression under Obama (that was můentionned by none other than the Washington Post), districts where turnout was over 150% (and heavily voted for Obama). Never miss half an occasion to disparage Obama or air his dirty secrets.

PS: tghe collapse of Romeny's "Get the vote" effort due to "programming bugs" looks highly suspicious to me. Democra&tic moles in the programming team?

Not just a Massachusetts phenomenon. Happened just the other day at an investment kaffeeklatsch. I mentally tagged em, and never speak to him again if I can help it.

#11  You have conceded the ground. You must learn to do the same, specially when there are neutrals in front of you. Before they can do their own disparaging remark just tell: "Male honeybees care about as little as Obama while our diplomats were being slaughtered and the day after went to a fund raiser". I know, this is not natural to us. We have to learn to do it.

#12  Then-Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey said they spoke with Obama at 5 p.m. ET on Sept. 11 that night. They were both on the same call, and said it lasted about 30 minutes. Dempsey said they did not speak again until the attack was over.

Was Gen. Dempsey referring to the initial attack that killed the Ambassador, the subsequent waves against the annex, or after the bug out? The line has always been that Defense couldn’t mobilize forces in time to save Stevens and the others. But it’s never been sufficiently articulated as to how they could possibly know the “attack” was completely over or that the threat had subsided. Moreover, did President Obama simply throw the keys to Def. Sec. and say…Leon; if you need to attack a Sovereign you got my blessing…I’ll be in the West wing prepping for my fundraiser if you need me?

#13  We really don't need to impeach this president. I agree it will turn him into a martyr for the left and be more destructive than helpful to our nation. The left's spin machine is very good and their clients are gullible enough to believe the rhetoric and follow it blindly. Just look at how the left is still blaming Bush, and believing it! MSNBC blamed Bush for Obamacare! With a straight face. We need to take the Senate, be humble, and move on to the presidential elections. Imagine he does get impeached. The administration is already blaming the conspiracy on FOX new. The followers currently believe this. Say they bring him down, the left will argue that it was the media that did it, evil FOX. MSNBC, CBS and the rest of the left media will be enraged and they will make it their defining moment to bring down the next republican. The media is already partisan, it will become unbearable, and yes, the media today is bearable compared to what will come.

My recommendation is to go after all of the senior leaders in State, IRS, and DOJ and send them to jail. They allowed the corruption of our system, they should have said no to the president for even hinting at breaking the law. They are supposed to enforce their oath of office. They are accountable for their actions. In essence force ethics into the government departments regardless of the politics and presidents above them. It has worked to a certain degree in DOD, despite Obama's best efforts.

#14  Now isn't the time for impeachment. Obama should have been impeached before the first midterms on his first term. The country is moving headlong towards another recession that may begin this summer.

Pretty sure other conservatives will say that this house stood by while Obama wrecked the country, and to an extent that is true. But what I say is that impeachment is a political event, not like charging the sunuvabitch with an actual crime, and it requires at least political acquiescence from the other side, which we do not have.

Besides, I have every faith in American capitalism to recover from the damage from the fascist boot of Obama style socialism is lifted.

#15  " ... go after all of the senior leaders in State, IRS, and DOJ and send them to jail ..." An excellent idea! Go after the deputies not the heads of departments. First!

#16  You don't treat the plague by starting to kill the rats. The fleas just hop on another host (usually human). First you reduce the flea population, then you kill the rats.

If you ready for the expansion of government then the House could alter, increase, and empower their Sergeant at Arms office as a mini-DoJ for servicing subpenas, contempt citations, and arrest powers. Since the Socialist have no problem with using executive offices doing legislative business (or the judiciary for that matter), why not directly empower the legislative branch with their own means of enforcement?

#17  A novel idea. Congressional SWAT teams, detention camps, summary execution authority.

#18  "Wounded prey are easy to track and will eventually go down."

Having tracked many a deer over the years, B, that is correct.

The question is, how long are you willing to track the prey for. We must be willing to do a persistence hunt or we get Hillary and Warren which is like another 4/8 years of BHO.

#19  I can't bring myself to blame the Champ entirely. Guile, indolence, and evil have been around for quite a long time, and we've likely not seen the last instances. God could have easily equipped us all with DNA which excluded the evil trait. How many evil Golden Retrievers or Green Sea Turtles have you met? But since we don't generally have the dietary requirement of preying on one another for sustenance, we would have probably in time, overbred and produced a dull and mediocre species. Evil appears to be some sort of divine culling tool.

My greater disappointment is with those who were so patently naďve, and so void of critical thinking [or just like him], that they allowed the Champ to ascend to power. Anyway, I'm glad he's "on the run." In doing so, it would appear he's performing in accordance with the greater cosmic plan.

#21  Besides, I have every faith in American capitalism to recover from the damage from the fascist boot of Obama style socialism is lifted.

I don't think American capitalism can do much about rtecovering of Iran getting nukes, Al Quaeda getting a safe haven in Irak or islam's infiltration in America.

#23  Impeachment isn't going to happen. Assuming he doesn't provoke a civil war, the best thing that happens is that he proves to be so incompetent that he winds up ignored by everyone once he's out of office other than his fluffers in the press. We get a real president in office and start undoing the orgy of steaming crap piles he's going to leave behind. He will serve the country far better as an example of stupid moronic incompetence than any kind of matyr for the left. That way all the left can do is fawn over that yes, he may be turd, but he's a shiny one, with sparkles.
