Dozens of former US officials and 100+ Progressive Democratic donors urge Biden to take harder line with Israel
Two sets of people who, like the Biden administration, agree that Israel has a right to defend itself after Hamas’s 10/7 massacre, but only so long as they actually actually don’t.
[IsraelTimes] Nearly 70 former US officials, diplomats and military officers are urging President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences...
to warn Israel of serious consequences if it denies civil rights and basic necessities to Paleostinians and expands settlement activity in the West Bank.
Someone should get their names.
"The United States must be willing to take concrete action to oppose" such practices, the group says in an open letter to Biden, "including restrictions on the provision of (US) assistance (to Israel) consistent with US law and policy."

Among the signatories are more than a dozen former ambassadors, as well as other retired State Department officials and former Pentagon, intelligence and White House officials, including Anthony Lake, a national security adviser to former President Bill Clinton
...former Democratic president of the U.S. Bill was the second U.S. president to be impeached, the first to deny that oral sex was sex, the first to have difficulty with the definition of the word is...
In its letter, the group says that an Israeli military operation against Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
was "necessary and justified."

But Israel’s operations "have been marked by repeated violations" of international law banning indiscriminate killing and the use of weapons that do not permit discrimination between combatants and civilians, the group says.

"Tens of thousands of Gazook civilians have been killed, the majority of whom are women and kiddies," the group says. "Civilian killings of this nature and magnitude cannot be justified."

Israel denies that its operations breach international law.

The group says that it strongly backs Biden’s call for an immediate truce of at least six weeks, the establishment of a reliable humanitarian aid delivery system, and the release of hostages.

The signatories also call on the Israeli military to implement rules of engagement consistent with international law.

Prominent Jews among progressive donors warning Biden against ‘unconditional’ support for Israel

[IsraelTimes] A number of prominent Jewish donors are included in a letter from more than 100 Democratic funders calling on US President Joe Biden to pull back his “unconditional” support for Israel’s war effort, and warning that it may harm his reelection prospects.

“Because of the disillusionment of a critical portion of the Democratic coalition, the Gaza war is increasing the chances of a Trump victory,” says the letter, which was sent Monday and first reported by The New York Times.

The letter comes amid growing pressure on Biden over Gaza from a swell of progressive voters, who have voted “uncommitted” in significant numbers in several primaries. The protest votes raise the prospect that progressive voters may stay home or decline to vote for the president in November, potentially facilitating a victory for former president Donald Trump.

“As donors and activists, we have committed much time and treasure in helping increase the turnout of likely Biden voters, particularly among young voters and voters of color.” the letter says. “Many of these voters are now questioning whether the Democratic Party shares their values.”

Among the signers are George and Liana Krupp, the father and daughter who steer the Krupp Family Foundation, which funds progressive Jewish organizations as well as the Council of American Jewish Museums. George Krupp, who has given $600,000 to Democrats this cycle, according to the Times, told the Times he remains committed to electing Biden to office.

Other prominent Jewish names include Barbara Dobkin, a philanthropist who has given to Jewish and Israeli feminist causes; Carol Winograd, who has funded progressive Jewish groups including J Street and Bend the Arc; Tamara Abrams, a Bay area climate activist who has served on the board of the East Bay Jewish Community Center; Margery Goldman, a philanthropist who has funded Israeli-Palestinian peace groups; and Marsha Rosenbaum, who has been at the forefront of advocating for drug reforms.

The letter says Israel has the right to defend itself from Hamas after the terror group’s October 7 attack on Israel, which it said included war crimes.

“We cannot imagine the pain that the hostages and their families endure every day,” the letter says. “We also acknowledge that Israel has the right, as does every country, to defend its citizens, and we sympathize with the stated joint goals of eliminating Hamas and freeing the hostages.

But the letter goes on to charge Israel with “indiscriminate” bombing and “systematically” destroying “nearly all civil structures in Gaza.” It calls for conditions on US defense assistance to Israel and adds, “Regrettably President Biden has provided what appears to be unconditional support for the Israeli operation.” It says Biden’s pressure on Israel to minimize civilian casualties has been ineffective.

“We are asking the Biden administration immediately to change course,” it says. “Conditions need to be placed and monitored on any further military, financial or diplomatic aid. All indiscriminate bombing and demolition must stop.”

In a milieu where white celebrities and college professors routinely express their hatred for "whiteness" in public, such behavior is hardly surprising. The scum exhibiting it probably think they gain points over their non-Jewish fellow travelers in the leftard exhibition competition.

US-sanctioned Hezbollah member visits UAE to open ‘new page’ in ties
[IsraelTimes] A bigwig from the Iran-backed Lebanese terror group Hezbollah has made a landmark trip to the United Arab Emirates to facilitate the release of more than a dozen Lebanese nationals detained there, four sources close to Hezbollah tells Rooters.

The visit at the invitation of the UAE could signal a significant shift away from the hostility that has long defined relations between Shi’ite Moslem Hezbollah and the Sunni Moslem UAE, a strategic ally of the United States, analysts said.

There is no immediate response from the UAE foreign ministry to Rooters’ requests for comments.

One of the sources, speaking on condition of anonymity

Safa traveled to the UAE yesterday, the sources say. He runs Hezbollah’s Liaison and Coordination Unit, responsible for coordinating with Lebanese security agencies, and is sanctioned by the United States.

The four sources familiar with Hezbollah’s thinking say that the UAE made contact with Hezbollah with a message that they were seeking to release the Lebanese detainees, several of whom were serving life sentences.

The sources say the detainees were arrested on charges including providing support and finance for Hezbollah, describing these as politically motivated charges.

All four sources say the detainees will be released in the coming days and will accompany Safa back to Leb

Roughly six hours later after the Jenin attack, the IDF said it killed two more terror suspects in another dronezap in the West Bank’s Nur Shams refugee camp, adding that the pair were armed and posed a threat to troops.

The dronezap kicked off what the IDF said was an hours-long, brigade-level raid in the refugee camp near Tulkarem.

Palestinian clans and factions step in to protect Gaza aid, sources say
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian officials say Hamas
...not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
’s ability to rally such groups behind it over security shows it retains influence despite Israeli troops in Gazoo

Armed and masked men from an array of clans and factions have started providing security for aid convoys in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. as Hamas tries to keep its clout in the enclave, Paleostinian officials and sources in the terror group say. Video footage obtained by Rooters showed a convoy of trucks entering Gaza City with foreign aid overnight, watched by several men armed with AK-47 assault rifles and others wielding sticks.

With Israel sworn to eliminate Hamas following its deadly October 7 raid on Israel, it has become highly risky for anyone linked to the Islamist group to emerge into the open to provide security for aid deliveries to desperate civilians. So numerous clans, civil society groups and factions — including Hamas’s secular political rival Fatah — have stepped in to help provide security for the aid convoys, according to the Paleostinian officials and Hamas sources. They did not identify the clans and factions but said Hamas’ ability to rally such groups behind it over security showed it retains influence, and that efforts by Israel to build its own administrative system to keep order in Gaza were being resisted.

"Israel’s plan to find some clans to collaborate with its pilot projects of finding an alternative to Hamas didn’t succeed but it also showed that Paleostinian resistance factions are the only ones who can run the show, in one way or another," said a Paleostinian official who asked not to be named.

An Israeli military spokesperson declined comment, saying specific rules of engagement in an active war zone could not be publicly discussed.

CIVIL ORDER STRAINED
Hamas, which has run Gaza since 2007 following a violent mostly peaceful coup, has built its popularity on social services, education programs and charities it offers impoverished Gazooks.

With public order strained and civil police having concerns about providing security for fear of being targeted by the Israeli military, the safe distribution of supplies has become increasingly hard to guarantee.

Dozens of Paleostinians were killed last month after crowds surrounded a convoy of aid trucks entering northern Gaza. The IDF’s probe into the incident in late February found that troops stationed in the area did not open fire on the convoy itself as Hamas had claimed. Rather, the probe found that shots were fired at several Gazooks who moved toward soldiers and a tank at an IDF checkpoint, in a way that "posed a threat to them." Israel said many victims had been trampled or run over, and that its troops opened fire only after its troops felt threatened by the advancing crowd.

A senior Israeli official, speaking to Rooters on condition of anonymity, said Israel was open in principle to Paleostinians securing areas of the Gaza Strip cleared of Hamas, and could even approve the formation of an armed police.

"But this is more of a day-after (the war) enterprise than something that could be implemented as a policy right now. We would need to be assured that the individuals have no Hamas ties — and certainly that they are not directly or indirectly serving Hamas interests," the Israeli official said.

Juliette Touma, spokesperson for the UN refugee agency UNRWA, had no information about masked men securing convoys. Jamie McGoldrick, UN Humanitarian Coordinator for the Occupied Paleostinian Territory, said the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
was not working with clans.

"We’ve been trying to get the Blue Police (Paleostinian civil police) back on track again. There have been a number of incidents where the blue police have been targeted by Israel, because they regard them as part of the Hamas infrastructure," he said.

"And so we are trying to find the best way suitable to have delivery of assistance into the north and other parts of Gaza Strip. That is a combination of using community groups, etc. And where we can use the police in a discreet manner as well."

Shimon Freedman, spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Ministry liaison agency for Paleostinian civilian affairs, said the distribution of aid in Gaza was the responsibility of international organizations.

"While we assist in that distribution and we help coordinate those convoys and allow them to go through our humanitarian corridor, the aspects of that are up to them," he said.

As part of plans for running Gaza after the war, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has considered empowering local representatives not affiliated to Hamas or other terror groups, but it is unclear who those people might be. Gaza has large traditional family clans, affiliated with political factions including Hamas and Fatah, which dominates the Paleostinian Authority in the West Bank. Some of the larger clans are widely believed to be heavily armed. Some clan leaders have publicly rejected Israel’s plan and said they cannot take the place of UN relief agencies helping Paleostinian refugees, or be a substitute for local authorities.

USS New Jersey to leave port for first time in 24 years, big guns will fire salute: 'I love this ship'
[FoxNews] 'Big J' launched one year after Pearl Harbor attack, will head to Philadelphia for drydock maintenance.

Ken Kersch speaks about the USS New Jersey as if it were a warm old friend instead of cold steel military hardware. "I love this ship," said Kersch, who spent four years in the U.S. Navy (1966-70).

"It’s the best ship I served on. She was a part of my life for two years. She’s a part of me now."

Kersch was a machinist on the USS New Jersey from 1967 to 1969, as the battleship supported land operations during the Vietnam War.

Now, on Thursday, he will ride aboard Big J again. She is scheduled to leave her mooring in Camden, New Jersey at 12:10 p.m. for the first time since arriving in 2000.

The dauntless dreadnought is now the centerpiece of the Battleship New Jersey Museum & Memorial.

ADD TO THE ILLEGAL Crime Issues. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has initiated a task force to combat the increasing incidence of Latin American gangs targeting upscale residences in Southern California.

The question remains, Who is Biden Regime allied with? Because it certainly not the US Citizens, the US Constitution nor the Bill of Rights.

Catalina Cruz currently holds the Assembly District 39 seat in the area, and area resident Ramses Frias, who is formerly a Democrat, is running for it; and he is running as a Republican.
A critical point about changing party alignment we can expect to see in November.
Cruz has “sponsored legislation to decriminalize prostitution” and has joined Representative Ocasio-Cortez in calling for more vendor permits to be issued to the illegal migrants.

Frias is ready for change and believes that a Republican approach is needed.

With a mother that emigrated from Haiti and a father from the Dominican Republic, Frias is pro-immigrant.

Marines Fly Flags at Half-Mast After Revered Former Commandant Al Gray Dies at 95
[Marines] WASHINGTON, D.C. -- It is with great sadness that the Marine Corps announces the death of the 29th Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Alfred M. Gray. General Gray died March 20, 2024 in Alexandria, Virginia, after a brief stay in hospice care.

“Today I mourn with all Marines, past and present, the loss of our 29th Commandant, Gen. Gray,” said Gen. Eric M. Smith, 39th Commandant of the Marine Corps. “He was a ‘Marine’s Marine’—a giant who walked among us during his career and after, remaining one of the Corps’ dearest friends and advocates even into his twilight. His contributions are many, including the development of our maneuver warfare doctrine, Warfighting, which remains, to this day, the philosophic bedrock of how we fight as Marines. Although he will be missed by all, his legacy will endure and his spirit will continue to live among us.”

General Gray was promoted to the rank of general, July 1, 1987, and he immediately assumed duties as the Commandant of the Marine Corps. He retired June 30, 1991, and spent his retirement years in northern Virginia with his wife, Jan, until her death in 2020.

General Gray presided over significant changes in the Marine Corps, none more important than the development and publication of Fleet Marine Force Manual 1 (FMFM-1), Warfighting. This document, barely over 100 pages, has become legendary among military doctrine and remains the foundation for how the Marine Corps thinks about, prepares for, and executes all Marine Corps operations.

General Gray also placed emphasis on large-scale maneuver in desert and cold-weather environments and robust maritime special operations capabilities. His staunch advocacy for military education resulted in the establishment of Marine Corps University.

General Gray was beloved by his Marines, and he is well known for being the first Commandant to have his official photograph and portrait taken in the camouflage utility uniform, famously remarking that “every Marine is, first and foremost, a rifleman. All other conditions are secondary.”

His full biography is located here: Gen. Alfred M. Gray. A full obituary will be released shortly.

All Marine Corps Installations will half-mast the National Ensign upon receipt of ALMAR 003/24 until sunset on April 18. The 29-day period is in honor of the Corps’ 29th Commandant. Media seeking additional information should contact U.S. Marine Corps Communication Directorate at OnTheRecord@usmc.mil.

#1  During his tenure as Commandant, the congress or congressional staffers attempted to school General Gray on the placement of women within the Corps. Paraphrased slightly, his response was:

Army General Pressured Assessment Panel to Help Career of 'Ineffective' Officer
[Mil.com] One of the Army's top generals may have abused his authority and subverted the service's process for selecting senior leadership in what some officials have described to Military.com as a conspiracy to prop up a subordinate officer who was deemed unfit for command.

A Military.com investigation found that Gen. Charles Hamilton, who oversees Army Materiel Command, spent about a month last year trying to pull strings behind the scenes for a female lieutenant colonel to breeze through the service's Battalion Commander Assessment Program, or BCAP. This included directly lobbying at least three generals on the assessment panel and successfully pushing officials to let the lieutenant colonel get a second board two days after she failed the first.
Forget the "unfit" officer, I'd like to know how an enlisted parachute rigger becomes a four star ?
The interference became so egregious that the director of the Army Command Assessment Program, Col. Robert O'Brien, penned a memo chronicling Hamilton's conduct on Nov. 1, immediately after the lieutenant colonel was deemed unfit twice in two assessment panels within 48 hours.

#4  ...We had a case in USAF in the mid 90s - had a 3 star (who I had briefly - and thank God, mercifully so - worked for) who was the USAF liaison to Congress...and was quietly lobbying for/against certain officers on the GO list. When he got caught, he was pointed towards the door with all possible haste.

Wasn't his first rodeo either; just before Desert Storm kicked off he was about to be sent home from an Important Post in USAFE for - in the words of a long departed friend - 'canoodling with the hired help'. Trouble was that before that could happen, Saddam got stupid...and this guy was the only dude on the USAFE staff who knew where everything was. Saved by events, he was, and in the general afterglow everything was kinda forgotten - but the most senior leadership still wanted to keep an eye on him so they brought him to DC as the Congressional liaison. Didn't work.

And - I kid you not, dear Friends - this guy has since been involved in at least two eight-figure scams that I know of. At this point, if you run across an elderly retired fighter pilot trying to sell you a used car or beachfront property in Arizona, run.

Durbin, Marshall Weaponizing the Government to Help Mega-Stores
[Breitbart] It’s a tale all too common in small towns across America. Small businesses once thrived on Main Street only to see giant corporate mega-stores blow into town to undercut them. Now, a new threat looms for small businesses in the form of the Durbin-Marshall credit card bill.
The Mega-Stores, they continue to struggle.
The bill is poised to alter the credit card routing system as we know it under the guise that it would "create competition" and financially benefit small businesses, community banks, and consumers. But the facts reveal just the opposite.

While Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Roger Marshall (R-KS)’s mega-store allies would stand to gain billions, recent findings from the University of Miami paint a more bleak picture for mom and pop retailers. While the top 100 largest stores could see a benefit of nearly $3 billion, with $1.2 billion going to the top five largest retailers alone —Walmart, Amazon, Costco, Kroger and Home Depot — businesses with less than $500 million in revenue would see little or any benefit.

Despite promises of benefits, the report also found that small businesses would likely lose out on their own rewards, as small business operators receive roughly $12 billion in credit card rewards when they make purchases on credit themselves. The bill jeopardizes credit card rewards programs, essential for both businesses and consumers. By increasing costs and threatening the viability of heavily relied-on programs — such as cash back, airline points, and credit card rewards — already struggling Americans would feel an even tighter financial strain.

Many industries and groups now see this bill for what it is — harmful to consumers, to our economy, and to our communities. These individuals are trying to speak out against the legislation, only to face further threats and harm.

Four Meds banned by Biden Administration and how to legally get them
[ZERO] Just a few years ago, it would have been unthinkable that our government would ever ban access to life-saving drugs. The COVID -19 pandemic, however, opened our eyes to just how far our government would go to line the pockets of big pharma.

Here are four critical medications that were banned, or access was limited to, under the Biden administration:

Azithromycin is an antibiotic of the macrolide class. It has been shown to exhibit both antiviral and immunomodulatory properties that can offer therapeutic benefit to certain viral respiratory infections. Studies indicate Azithromycin may directly inhibit viral load, particularly in the early stages of Covid-19.

Beating the war drums: UN climate adviser says white people are taking up ‘too much space'
[American Thinker] Ayisha Siddiqa would have made for a perfect addition to the Squad of Congress (she’s a foreign-born Islamist who hates white people and the culture of the West) and given her views, she’s also an obvious fit for the United Nations bureaucracy—which is why Secretary-General António Guterres handpicked Siddiqa to be a member of the United Nations Youth Advisory Group, a "mechanism" to "accelerate global climate action, and drive forward all 17 Sustainable Development Goals."

Now, Fox News just published a report by Hannah Grossman, which covered Siddiqa’s social media rap sheet—per Grossman, Siddiqa has repeatedly "call[ed] for the destruction of capitalism," has claimed that the word "terrorism" is simply a "Western smear to justify its imperialism" and that "White people" are solely to blame for humanity’s purported trend toward "extinction" because the alleged "climate crisis" is all our fault.

Here are a few of Siddiqa’s most vile statements, from her laundry list of offensive opinions, via Grossman:

In March 2021, she [Siddiqa] posted, ’[T]he white man has brought life as we know it, to the verge of extinction.’

’The white man sits at the highest level of power in the world, the same way he has killed, looted and abused black and brown people for profit so has he the earth,’ she [Siddiqa] posted in May 2022.

’We’re allowing White people to have too much space,’ she [Siddiqa] said.

Yes, we’re apparently taking up "too much space" and because of our skin color, we deserve to be... Ostracized? Enslaved? Killed? She doesn’t really say, but given Siddiqa’s tone, I’m not too optimistic that she’d settle for peaceful coexistence—shortly after the George Floyd situation, Siddiqa stated her belief that "racial harmony is fallacy." As someone online noted:

‘Vigilantes’ try to evict squatters at $1M Queens house after homeowner who confronted them is arrested in tense standoff
[NYPost] A pair of vigilantes allegedly tried to forcefully evict three alleged squatters from a million-dollar Queens home after the homeowner was arrested when she changed the locks and tried to remove them.

Two unidentified men driving a black pickup truck pulled into the driveway of the Flushing home searching for the tenants Tuesday afternoon, according to the Daily Mail.

“We are looking to get this guy out,” one of the men allegedly said, a neighbor told the outlet. “I am here to talk to him. I want to see why he is here.”

Adele Andaloro, 47, was in the process of selling the property when the group shadily took refuge in the home last month.

Andaloro inherited the $1 million property from her parents after they died.

She confronted the trio and changed the locks in hopes they would not be able to re-enter if they left.

However, a male inside the home called the police on Andaloro, who was later arrested.

Neighbors have noticed some concerning activity from the house since the alleged squatters snaked their way into the home.

A 24-year-old college student living next to the home, identified only as Kosta, said she’s been “on edge” since the occupants arrived.

“We all know what they are up to, so we’re all kind of pissed about it,” Kosta told the outlet Tuesday.

The concerned neighbor claimed boards were all over the property and the people occupying the home were “doing construction on the house all night long.”

“I heard a drill and saw through my window that they were drilling holes into the wall and putting up boards,” Kosta said.

A male inside the home called the police on Andaloro, who was then arrested.
“I don’t know if the board is still there, but it looked like they were trying to hide what was inside.”

A woman, who requested to remain anonymous, claimed she saw one of the unethical dwellers carrying a door into the home late one night.

What you need to know about squatters in New York:

What are squatter’s rights in New York?

Squatters in New York state can claim a legal right to remain on a property without the owner’s permission after 10 years of living there. However, in New York City a person only needs to be on the property for 30 days to claim squatter’s rights.

Why is it so hard to get rid of a squatter?

Squatters are allowed a wide range of rights once they have established legal occupancy, making it difficult to evict them.

How does someone become a squatter?

Some of the scenarios in which a person becomes a squatter include: a tenant refusing to pay rent, a relative of a former owner refusing to leave the property or even a stranger who entered the property and never left.

According to Manhattan-based law firm Nadel & Ciarlo, squatters must have a reasonable basis for claiming the property belongs to them and must treat the home as if they were an owner — such as doing yard work or making repairs.

How can a property owner get rid of a squatter?

A property owner must first send a 10-day eviction notice and then file a court complaint if the order is ignored. If approved by a judge, the owner can get a summons and have a sheriff evict the squatter.

Why does the law provide squatters with rights?

The law was designed to help prevent long-term tenants from getting evicted. New York City’s law was partially made in response to vacant and abandoned buildings that were becoming a blight on the city.

How can property owners protect themselves from squatters?

Owners should avoid keeping any properties vacant for an extended period of time. They should also make sure the building is secure, has adequate lighting and has surveillance cameras installed.

If a squatter does appear, owners should notify the police quickly before squatter’s rights are established.

The woman also noted that a “For Sale” sign had been on the property for “a long time” before one person “came out of nowhere” and began living in the home.

Residents of tight-knit Queens Street, which many have called home for over 30 years, expressed that they’re ready to do as much as possible to get the alleged intruders out. Some have even floated the idea of starting a petition in hopes that it will help, according to the Daily Mail.

Andaloro had been living in the home with her daughter and mother until her mom’s death a few years ago.

A beloved community member, Andaloro put the two-story home on the market, but that’s when the tenants got in and brazenly replaced the entire front door and locks.

Before her arrest on Feb. 29 — which was captured by ABC’s “Eyewitness News” — Andaloro faced off with the group in a tense standoff.

The police were eventually called and escorted two people off the property.

With at least three apparent residents still inside, cops told Andaloro she had to sort the saga out in housing court because it was considered a “landlord-tenant issue” before she was arrested.

The home’s owner was charged with unlawful eviction because she had changed the locks and had not provided a new key to the person staying there.

In New York City, a person can claim “squatter’s rights” after just 30 days of living at a property.

Under the law, it is illegal for the homeowner to change the locks, turn off the utilities, or remove the belongings of the “tenants” from the property.

“By the time someone does their investigation, their work, and their job, it will be over 30 days, and this man will still be in my home,” Andaloro said.

“I’m really fearful that these people are going to get away with stealing my home.”

Unlikely Ally Ruth Bader Ginsburg Could Save Trump $355M
[Newsmax] Amid former President Donald Trump's scramble to secure bond in the multi-million dollar judgment against him in New York, he might look to the unlikeliest of figures for legal aid from the late, and famously liberal, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Ginsburg delivered the high court's opinion in Timbs v. Indiana on Feb. 20, 2019, in which she laid out how the Eighth Amendment's prohibition on excessive fines applies to the states as well as the federal government.

The judge ruled that taking the vehicle was an excessive fine because it was worth four times the penalty and excessive fines are prohibited by the Constitution's Eighth Amendment.

The ruling was upheld by the Court of Appeals, but the Indiana Supreme Court overturned it on the grounds that the Eighth Amendment's prohibition on excessive fines only applies to the federal government and not to the states.

In a unanimous decision, the U.S. Supreme Court said that it does, in fact, bind the states as well.

"The Excessive Fines Clause traces its venerable lineage back to at least 1215," Ginsburg wrote. "Magna Carta required that economic sanctions 'be proportioned to the wrong' and 'not be so large as to deprive [an offender] of his livelihood.'"

"For good reason, the protection against excessive fines has been a constant shield throughout Anglo-American history: Exorbitant tolls undermine other constitutional liberties," she wrote. "Excessive fines can be used, for example, to retaliate against or chill the speech of political enemies."

Attackers shoot 15 dead in South Sudan
[AFRICANEWS] Unidentified assailants have taken the lives of 15 individuals in South Sudan
's Pibor region, including the commissioner, according to a bigwig on Wednesday. This incident marks an escalation of violence within the country.

South Sudan, battling with internal conflicts, has faced significant turmoil since gaining independence from Sudan. The strife, primarily along ethnic lines between Dinkas and Nuers, resulted in widespread casualties from 2013 to 2018.

The fatal attack occurred on Tuesday as the commissioner of Boma County in Pibor was returning from a village visit. "The commissioner and his team visited Nyat village, and upon their return, they were ambushed, resulting in the deaths of 15 individuals, including the commissioner," stated Abraham Kelang, the information minister of Greater Pibor Administrative Area.

Kelang indicated that the perpetrators are suspected to be youths from the Anyuak community within the region. Those killed included Boma's deputy army commander, government officials, and the commissioner's bodyguards.

Despite a peace deal brokered in 2018, festivities persist among various gangs, leading to civilian casualties and displacement. The Greater Pibor Administrative Area remains particularly affected by such violence.

Boma County, predominantly inhabited by the Murle ethnic group, frequently experiences sporadic violence, sometimes involving the Murle, Anyuak, Nuer, or Dinka communities from neighboring Jonglei State. The recurring conflicts underscore the persistent challenges facing South Sudan in achieving lasting peace and stability.

Saudi Arabia boosts funding to UNRWA by $40 million for Gaza relief
[GEO.TV] A Saudi-funded humanitarian agency pledged on Wednesday to boost the kingdom's funding to the UN Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA) by $40 million, according to a statement.

The donation by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), which is dedicated to Gaza, comes as UNRWA faces a severe funding crunch after the United States and Britain paused support following Israel's accusations that a dozen of its 13,000 staff in Gaza took part in the October 7 Hamas attack on the country.

UNRWA manages shelters, and provides food and healthcare for nearly 2 million people in Gaza, according to its website.

Europe
'Resist Russia.' France is preparing military personnel to be sent to Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Mikhail Zakharov

[REGNUM] Moscow has information that Paris is going to use the French military in Ukraine. This was announced by the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergei Naryshkin.

Previously, French President Emmanuel Macron said he would allow troops to be sent. In France and in the North Atlantic Alliance, which the country belongs to, Macron’s militant ideas are sharply criticized.

At the same time, experts interviewed by Regnum news agency note that the threat cannot be underestimated - active actions have already begun.

DEATH IN A FOREIGN LAND
According to Sergei Naryshkin, at the initial stage the size of the French military contingent could be about two thousand people - these troops are already being prepared. At the same time, the French military fears that a significant unit will not be able to be transferred to Ukraine and stationed there in secret from Russia.

“Thus, it will become a priority legitimate target for attacks from the Russian armed forces. This means that the fate of all the French who have ever come to the territory of the Russian World with a sword awaits him,” Naryshkin emphasizes.

French military personnel have been unofficially present in Ukraine for a long time, but their fate is unenviable, adds the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service: there are many wounded and dead. And Macron hides the number of losses, fearing mass protests in the country.

Even the French Ministry of the Armed Forces admits: the country has not seen such losses abroad since the war in Algeria in the second half of the 20th century, explains Naryshkin.

“It is noted that only as a result of the destruction by the Russian Armed Forces of a temporary deployment point for foreigners near Kharkov on January 17 of this year, “dozens of French citizens” were killed, and since then such attacks have become the norm in the Ukrainian conflict,” recalls the SVR.

Naryshkin is sure: Macron will sooner or later have to reveal the ugly truth, but he will strive to delay the “confession” as much as possible.

ANTI-RUSSIAN ARMY
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that NATO would face tragic consequences if the alliance decided to send its military to Ukraine. But Macron continues to pursue his dangerous line.

The signals come one after another. The French Foreign Ministry allows sending military personnel to Ukraine “without participating in the conflict.” The media reported that Macron stated: “in any case, this year I will have to send the guys to Odessa.” And the chief of staff of the French Ground Forces, General Pierre Schille, noted that the country’s armed forces are ready for the “most severe” conflicts in order to protect their interests.

The leaders of several NATO countries, including Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic and Sweden, as well as NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, have said that they have no plans to send troops to Ukraine. However, in early March, Politico reported that Paris was gathering a group of countries open to sending troops to Ukraine.

In a recent interview with Le Parisien newspaper, the French president said that at some point Paris may need to carry out ground operations “to counter Russian forces” in Ukraine.

Given that Pierre Schille believes that France is capable of deploying 20 thousand soldiers for up to 30 days, as well as commanding a force of up to 60 thousand people, including the Allied armies, the question arises: are the plans of the French hawks limited to a contingent of two thousand people?

FRANCE NEEDS UKRAINIAN RAW MATERIALS
Military observer Alexander Artamonov is sure that the militaristic statements of Macron and French officials should not be underestimated. Especially in the context of the recent meeting of the French President with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

In a conversation with Regnum news agency, the expert recalled that Poland and Germany intend to create an expanded armored brigade of 5 thousand people - “to protect the interests of the West in Ukraine.”

Now France is experiencing serious problems in the field of nuclear energy - the supply of uranium necessary for nuclear power plants, while the visit of the French president to Kazakhstan was not successful, and political changes have occurred in Africa not in favor of France. Paris can now solve its problems by “staking out” deposits of raw materials in Ukraine, Artamonov believes.

“France’s interests are not limited to its presence in Ukraine - Paris is trying to actively expand its influence in other territories close to us, in particular in Armenia.

France will develop its presence in the territory of our natural coverage area, that is, the former Soviet Union,” the observer predicts.

The training and technical equipment of the French are strong, Artamonov continues, so the introduction of a contingent of the Fifth Republic into Ukraine is the most important issue. In particular, this could threaten the security of Transnistria, where more than 200 thousand of our fellow citizens are located.

TWO SCENARIOS FOR THE DEPLOYMENT OF TROOPS IN UKRAINE
French Colonel Vincent Arbaretiere said on the LCI TV channel that there are two scenarios for the deployment of French troops in Ukraine.

The first involves occupying positions along the Dnieper, the second - on the border of Ukraine with Belarus in order to cover Kyiv from an attack from the north.

Partially, Arbaretier's words are confirmed by a fresh statement from Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Alexey Goncharenko. He said that Paris is considering the possibility of sending a European military mission to the regions of Ukraine bordering Belarus in order to free up Ukrainian troops located in this area.

Now soldiers of the French Foreign Legion are landing in Bulgarian Sofia, military expert Anatoly Matviychuk told IA Regnum. According to his information received from sources in Bulgaria, after landing, the French are loaded onto cars and head straight off in the direction of Ukraine. These soldiers act as an advance party for reconnaissance before the deployment of the main forces.

The expert also names two scenarios for the deployment of French troops. The first is an intervention in Odessa with the capture of exits to the Dnieper, in order to prevent our troops from entering this direction and cutting off Ukraine from the Black Sea, and also to prevent the Russian army from helping Transnistria in the event of an attack on it.

The second plan is troops on the border between Belarus and Ukraine to prevent an attack from the north.

“In general, I believe that the transfer of French troops will be comprehensive. It will be in the form of a landing of a foreign legion, the transfer of several squadrons of tactical fighters, and several air defense formations will also be transferred,” says Matviychuk.

Eight terrorists 'sent to hell' as security forces foil attack on Gwadar Port Authority colony
[GEO.TV] After a group of button men stormed the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) colony on Wednesday, security forces acted swiftly and foiled the fierce attack, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

"Own troops employed for security responded immediately and effectively engaged the terrorists, and in ensuing fire exchange, all eight bandidos forces of Evil were sent to hell," the military's media wing said.

A large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives was also recovered from the killed terrorists.

The ISPR said two brave soldiers — Sepoy Bahar Khan (age 35 years, resident of district DG Khan) and Sepoy Imran Ali (age 28 years, resident of district Khairpur) — having fought gallantly, sacrificed their lives and embraced Shahadat during the exchange of fire.

"Security forces of Pakistain, in step with the nation remain determined to thwart attempts of sabotaging peace and stability of Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
, and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve," it added.

Eyewitnesses said that they heard multiple explosions after firing in the complex which houses passport office, Election Commission of Pakistain (ECP) office, and other government offices.

An explosion was also heard before the firing, police officials told the media, adding that the entire area was cordoned off by security personnel.

Makran Division commissioner confirmed the incident and the number of slain terrorists.

Reacting to the development, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah condemned the attack on the GPA complex, saying: "Elimination of the bandidos forces of Evil is final and the determination of our military men is strong."
CPEC is the future of Pakistain and we will not allow any harm to it under any circumstances, the CM added.

Today’s attack follows a fierce terrorist attack on a security forces' check post in the Mir Ali area of North Wazoo, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) last week, as the country witnesses a spike in such attacks, resulting in deaths of several civilians and law enforcement officials.

Following the Mir Ali attack, which resulted in martyrdom of seven Pakistain Army soldiers — including a lieutenant colonel and captain — Pak forces carried out intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the border regions inside Afghanistan against bandidos forces of Evil launching attacks in Pakistain from Afghan soil.

#1  Pak blurb: Located an hour’s drive from Gwadar Old City, the Gwadar Industrial Estate forms an essential part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. It aims to make Gwadar an important sea port. The very existence of this industrial estate allows for more efficient imports/exports. It links to the famous Makran Coastal Highway, which connects Karachi and Gwadar, allowing for more business to be conducted. As Gwadar is undergoing development ... the port city is poised at becoming a central hub for world trade.

India to prosecute Somali pirates for ship hijacking
[AFRICANEWS] India will prosecute 35 Somali pirates arrested during an operation to free a hijacked vessel off Somalia on Saturday, a navy official said.

The men are due to arrive in India on Saturday where they will be handed over to law enforcement.

India was previously only concentrating on freeing hijacked vessels and abandoning the disarmed pirates at sea without charging them. The navy official did not state what charges will be brought against the men.

On Saturday, the Indian navy managed to seize the Malta-flagged commercial ship MV Ruen which had been comandeered by pirates in the Northern Arabian Sea on December 14.

The event was the first hijacking of a commercial ship by Somali pirates since 2017. At the peak of their activity in 2011, somali pirate activity cost the global economy an estimated $7 billion.

Since December, India has deployed about a dozen boats to police the Gulf of Aden to stop Iran's Houthi sock puppets

The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. MORE ON THE FREED VESSEL
The Indian navy said late Saturday that it had taken control of a bulk carrier hijacked by Somali pirates and evacuated the 17 crew members on the vessel.

In a statement on X, the navy said all 35 pirates on board the Maltese-flagged MV Ruen had surrendered and the vessel was checked for illegal arms, ammunition and contraband. The whole operation took about 40 hours and involved drones, navy vessels and marine commandos.

The development came after men on the bulk carrier fired at an Indian warship in international waters Friday, triggering the navy to intercept the vessel some 2,600 kilometers (1,615 miles) off the Indian coast.

The vessel was first boarded by pirates Dec. 14 near the Yemeni island of Socotra, around 240 kilometers (150 miles) off Somalia.

Activity from Somali pirates has dropped in recent years, but there has been growing concern it could resume amid the political uncertainty and wider chaos in the region that has included attacks on ships by Yemen's Houthi rebels.

Earlier this week, a Bangladesh-flagged fat merchantman with 23 crew members was hijacked by pirates off Somalia. A European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
vessel was tracking the ship, the EU's maritime security force said Wednesday.

India recently began to flex its its naval power in international waters, including anti-piracy patrols and a widely publicized deployment close to the Red Sea to help protect ships from attacks during Israel’s war with Hamas
...not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
The navy has helped at least four merchant vessels that were attacked in high seas by Houthi forces. Indian forces include three guided missile destroyers and reconnaissance aircraft.

AOC Has a Mental Breakdown After Bobulinski Runs Circles Around Her
[REDSTATE] Hunter Biden demanded a hearing on Capitol Hill and then didn't show up. Perhaps he should have, because his allies in the Democratic caucus aren't handling things well.

In the gift that just keeps on giving, Tony Bobulinski's testimony once again produced a must-see moment, this time involving the esteemed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The congresswoman tried to pin the witness down on noting "specific crimes" he witnessed Hunter and Joe Biden commit.

RELATED: Goldman Is Left Stammering After He Walks Into a Wall, Bobulinski Calls Him a Liar to His Face

I guess she wasn't expecting him to be ready with an actual answer because he triggered her harder than a long day at the range.

OCASIO-CORTEZ: I have a quick question. Simple. Is it your testimony today that you personally witnessed President Joe Biden commit a crime?

BOBULINSKI: I believe the fact that he was sitting with me while I was...(AOC interrupts)

OCASIO-CORTEZ: Did you witness the president commit a crime? Is it your testimony today?

BOBULINSKI: Yes

OCASIO-CORTEZ: What crime do you, have you witnessed?

BOBULINSKI: How much time do I have to go through it?

OCASIO-CORTEZ: It is simple, you name the crime. Did you watch him steal something?

BOBULINSKI: Corruption statutes, RICO and conspiracy, FARA (AOC interrupts)

OCASIO-CORTEZ: What is the crime, sir? Specifically?

BOBULINSKI: You ask and answer the question, I answered the question, RICO, you're obviously not familiar with

OCASIO-CORTEZ: Excuse me, sir. Excuse me, sir. Excuse me, sir. RICO is not a crime, it is a category. What is the crime?
I thought bartenders had high social intelligence.
BOBULINSKI: It is a category of crimes that you are then charged under.

That's just the first two minutes of the exchange. It continued for another three minutes, in which Ocasio-Cortez shouted for the cameras, demanding the impeachment investigation be ended because of her supposedly brilliant pre-written speech. Yes, you can see her looking down to read it verbatim throughout the exchange.

How will Israel evacuate 1.2 million Gazans from Rafah? IDF general explains
Seems to me that, the best way, is just to start bombing and they'll evacuate themselves: "Give a Man a Fish" etc...
[Jpost] "The IDF is about to enter Rafah. Before it attacks Rafah, it needs to move the 1.2 million refugees who are there either [elsewhere in Gaza] or to some floating islands. The Egyptians don't want them to come to the fence with Egypt, the Americans don't want us to attack first, so that there won't be a humanitarian disaster. I think it should have happened a week or two ago," he said. "People got confused when the Prime Minister's Office says 'approved plans,' it does not mean 'gave the army an order to attack.' Today, the army and the political echelon, in my opinion, are saying the same thing, they are waiting, they are currently giving a chance to the last attempt to reach a hostage deal."

HAMAS DOESN'T FEEL PRESSURE
According to Nagel, "There won't be a deal because Hamas doesn't currently feel enough pressure, especially [Hamas chief Yahya] Sinwar, and that's why it makes ridiculous demands. I still think it's right to send the delegation to Qatar... I'm in favor of a deal that has everything Hamas wants except for a ceasefire. To get 40-50 hostages, I have no problem with a month-long cease-fire and even the release here and there of heavy prisoners. The one thing that we can under no circumstances agree to is a ceasefire."

Nagel continued, stating "What's happening right now de facto is that Hamas is getting a kind of ceasefire, not exactly, but kind of. They're still fighting in the north, in the center, and here and there, we're attacking Rafah. We need to start with this quickly, very quickly. This situation also affects the North (the border with Lebanon)."

According to Nagel, "There are 24 battalions of Hamas, we destroyed 18 to 20 of them. We need to destroy all 24, after that we need to continue working underground and above the ground, for years, just like it was in Operation Defensive Shield in Jenin. Until today, [22] years later, there are still nests of terrorism in Jenin, so whoever thinks that there will be no terrorists after we destroy Hamas in Rafah is wrong. The fight against terrorism will take place for [years to come], but if the IDF controls security in Gaza, it will be able to enter and exit as it does in Judea and Samaria, which will be much better."

US to pitch Israel on securing Egypt-Gaza border as alternative to ‘smashing into Rafah’
More “Yes, but”, this time with a helping of putting Israeli security in Egyptian hands.
[IsraelTimes] US officials tell ToI next week’s meeting with visiting Israeli delegation will be used to advance viable options other than massive ground offensive in packed south Gaza city

The US will present alternative plans for how Israel can continue pursuing Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
without launching a major ground operation in Rafah during an upcoming meeting with a visiting Israeli delegation in Washington, two senior US officials told The Times of Israel on Tuesday.

"This isn’t just us saying, ’No you can’t do it.’ We’re saying that we’re willing to work with you on viable alternatives that still help you achieve your objectives," one of the senior US officials said, speaking to The Times of Israel on condition of anonymity.

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan touched on this idea on Monday when he announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had accepted a request from US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Joe's wife and daughter weren't killed by a drunk driver. He didn't graduate with three or even two degrees, wasn't in the top half of his law class, and his daddy didn't come home from a hard day's work in the mines and play football with the guys. The NAACP hasn't endorsed him every time he's run....
during their phone call earlier that day to send an inter-agency team to Washington "to hear US concerns about Israel’s current Rafah planning and to lay out an alternative approach that would target key Hamas elements in Rafah and secure the Egypt-Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. border, without a major ground invasion."

Elaborating on the alternative approach the Biden administration has in mind, a second senior US official said Washington envisions Israel focusing instead on preventing the smuggling of weapons from Egypt into Gaza through the Philadelphi Corridor.

The official avoided blaming the Egyptian government for the smuggling that was partially responsible for Hamas’s re-armament amid successive rounds of conflict with Israel over the past 15 years. However,
today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday...
they said reaching a new arrangement with Cairo and building the necessary infrastructure to cut off the smuggling route would be more critical to the dismantlement of Hamas than a major ground offensive in Rafah.

"If Israel smashes into Rafah with all the civilian casualties that doing so would entail, cooperation from Egypt on locking down the [Philadelphi] Corridor will be much more difficult," the second bigwig said.

The first official clarified that US opposition to a major Rafah ground invasion doesn’t mean it opposes more targeted operations against Hamas’s leadership in Rafah or elsewhere, and said that the alternative plans the Biden administration intends to present to the visiting Israeli delegation will focus on this goal as well.

The US also envisions Israel using the coming period to implement a massive humanitarian surge, the US official said, speaking two days after the publication of a UN-backed report warning that famine is imminent in northern Gaza.

The senior US official said this will require Israel to open additional ground routes within Gaza to deliver aid to the north, where some 300,000 Paleostinians have been practically cut off from aid after bucking IDF directives to evacuate at the beginning of the war. Israel and Hamas are almost six months into a war sparked by Hamas’s October 7 massacre, when thousands of bully boyz killed some 1,200 people and took 253 hostages during a murderous rampage across southern Israel.

Any sort of operation in Rafah — let alone the massive invasion that Washington opposes — will require a far more stable humanitarian situation in Gaza, the US official explained.

They noted that the southern Gaza city has become a humanitarian hub in recent months and that new storage and distribution mechanisms will have to be established in other areas.

The number of aid trucks coming into Gaza from the yet-to-be-established maritime corridor from Cyprus along with other routes into the Strip will need to be significantly scaled up, to figures not seen since before the war when 500 trucks entered each day, the bigwig said. "That’s not happening any time soon, especially not when we’re in the middle of an imminent famine."

The US, only last week, dispatched a ship with supplies for the temporary pier it plans to build off the Gaza City coast in a project that could take up to two months.

The alternative plans the US wants to discuss with the visiting Israeli delegation will also include efforts to begin the reconstruction of Gaza and to build up a viable alternative to Hamas, the first senior US official said.

Both of these aspects are points of contention, given that the outline of a post-war Gaza plan Netanyahu presented to his cabinet last month does not envision Israel allowing reconstruction to begin until the enclave has been de-militarized and "de-radicalized." Netanyahu has also sought to empower local clan leaders with no ties to the Paleostinian Authority to replace Hamas in governing Gaza, though the idea has received a chilly reception from the US and international community, which wants a reformed PA to return to the Strip.

Both US officials clarified that the Biden administration is not ignoring the four remaining Hamas battalions in Rafah but argued that their strength and importance to the mission of defeating Hamas was being overblown by Netanyahu.

"We don’t want Hamas to have a safe haven there, but the current situation is not feasible," the first US official said.

The officials credited Israel for taking steps over the past couple of weeks to alleviate the humanitarian crisis, but one of them said that the situation could deteriorate again if Jerusalem does not begin implementing a "non-scorched earth strategy for pursuing Hamas."

Earlier Tuesday, Netanyahu’s office announced that the premier has tapped two of his most trusted aides, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer and National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi, to lead the Israeli delegation to Washington. A representative from COGAT, the IDF unit responsible for coordinating aid in the Gaza Strip, will also be making the trip.

"The prime minister stressed that he is determined to operate in Rafah in order to eliminate for good the remaining Hamas battalions while offering humanitarian solutions to the civilian population," the statement said.

White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre said the meeting will likely take place early next week.

Separately, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will host Defense Minister Yoav Gallant next week for a bilateral meeting at the US Defense Department, an American defense official said.

Also on Tuesday, Netanyahu told the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that the IDF will enter Rafah and that he told Biden as much in their call on Monday.

"We have a disagreement with the Americans about the need to enter Rafah," Netanyahu said, according to a statement from his office. "Not about the need to eliminate Hamas — the need to enter Rafah. We do not see a way to eliminate Hamas militarily without destroying these remaining battalions. We are determined to do it. "

Biden effectively ruled out any potential support for a major Israeli ground offensive in Rafah during his call with Netanyahu, Jake Sullivan revealed on Monday, hardening his position after the administration had indicated for months it could support an operation there under certain conditions.

Japanese Researchers Warn About Using Blood Transfusions From COVID-19 mRNA Jab Recipients
[TheHighWire] The impact of these genetic vaccines on blood products and the actual damage caused by them are unknown at present. Therefore, in order to avoid these risks and prevent further expansion of blood contamination and complication of the situation, we strongly request that the vaccination campaign using genetic vaccines be suspended and that a harm—benefit assessment be carried out as early as possible.

As we have repeatedly stated, the health injuries caused by genetic vaccination are already extremely serious, and it is high time that countries and relevant organizations take concrete steps together to identify the risks and to control and resolve them.

Denver's food bill on feeding migrants skyrockets
[JustTheNews] While the continued influx of migrants comes at a cost of more than $61 million, resources for feeding those in the shelters are running low, and the city is looking to amend two contracts at the city council meeting on March 20.
File under hoist by their own petard.
In December 2023, the city of Denver agreed to a $100,000 contract to feed incoming migrants with Colorado Hospitality Services.

After a year, that contract was increased to $475,000 in January 2024. Then, the city had to pay another $450,000 in February 2024.

Now, Denver City Council is looking at another $500,000 to pay for food costs through June, raising the total to $1.4 million.

The city is facing the same issue with the other food provider for migrants that was contracted. Michaels of Denver Catering, Inc., started out with a $500,000 contract to feed the incoming migrants in May 2023. That increased to $1 million in October. Now, the city will review another $350,000 that will cover the costs through June.

"Due to the sustained high volume of newcomers, the current purchase order is exhausted and we are seeking to increase it again," the city stated in a memo to the council explaining the reason for skyrocketing costs.

Denver has continued to receive an influx of migrants, with nearly 40,000 arriving in the city over the past year due to its status as a sanctuary city, and the cost is continuing to grow.

Since the beginning of the migrant crisis, the city has served 39,605 migrants and asylum-seekers. Still, it faces a growing deficit as Denver continues to receive newcomers and offers food, shelter, and other services.

The city continues to shelter 1,150 individuals while phasing out some services this week by closing one of five hotel shelters currently in use.

Denver recently received a $3.5 million reimbursement from the state of Colorado and a $1.6 million advancement from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, with $12.2 million in potential federal reimbursements currently pending, according to a Mar. 18, 2024 update from the city.
All of which will disappear, should Donald Trump be elected.
Denver currently faces a nearly $60 million budget deficit, and Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has said for the city to maintain current services that are provided for migrants, it would cost taxpayers well over $100 million over the next year, as previously reported by The Center Square.
Giving the voters what they demanded, good and hard.
While the continued influx of migrants comes at a cost of more than $61 million, resources for feeding those in the shelters are running low, and the city is looking to amend two contracts at the city council meeting on March 20.

The city of Denver did not reply to email seeking comment.

Speaking of soaring costs.
Yesterday, while to restock House items.

I quickly notice:
Eggs were now $2.88 a dz. up from $1.68 (+71.42% increase).
Bread was up 35cents a loaf and there are many more examples in just a week.

What had me wondering was SAM's Gas here.
Over night went from $3.09 to $3.69 a gallon (87 Octane).
But strangely many Big Name Brand Gas stations in the area are still selling even this morning at $3.29 a gallon (87 Octane) $0.40 less than SAM's.

Add to it a neighbor friend pointed out Murphy Gas, just up the street from than SAM's, was $0.50 cheaper than SAM's a Gallon?

Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title.

[Korrespondent] 22:55 Representatives of three IT companies from the Netherlands will help modernize Ukrainian UAVs, the country's Minister of Defense Kaisa Ollongren said in an interview with Radio Liberty. According to her, the Ukrainian defense industry has many prospects for development.

21:49 The Netherlands is providing Ukraine with 350 million euros for ammunition for the F-16 and modern reconnaissance drones, the country's Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren said during a visit to Kiev. The new military aid package will allocate 150 million euros to finance air-to-ground guided missiles that can be launched from F-16 aircraft, and another 200 million for drones. Danish F-16s are expected to arrive first, expected in the summer, with the first Dutch jets to be delivered later this year, Reuters writes.

21:37 The White House is not ready to announce the delivery of ATACMS missiles, but will continue efforts to support Ukraine, Biden's national security adviser Jake Sullivan said during a visit to Kiev: “We are working to do this as quickly as possible.” President "Biden is working every day to get this package through the House, but I can't make any specific predictions."

21:08 Shmygal said in an interview with Bloomberg that there is currently no need to mobilize 500 thousand Ukrainians. According to the prime minister, the assessment showed that such a scale of mobilization is not necessary, given the rotations taking place on the front line and the flow of weapons. “We will continue the fight if we receive support from our partners in artillery shells, long- and medium-range missiles,” Shmygal added.

20:59 The Russian command will redeploy part of its army to defend Belgorod due to frequent attacks and shelling, Bloomberg reports, citing a source close to the Kremlin.

20:01 A group of drones on the morning of March 20 attacked the city of Engels in the Saratov region, where one of the largest military air bases in Russia is located. It is from there that the occupiers most often launch missile attacks on Ukraine. In December 2022, after a strike on the airfield, 17 Russian troops were killed and several aircraft were damaged. What was hit this time and who was behind the blow - in the material Attack on Engels.

19:50 Spain will transfer another 19 Leopard 2A4 tanks to Ukraine, InfoDefensa reports. The vehicles will be taken out of storage, so it will take some more time to repair them before they reach the Ukrainian troops, the Spanish publication notes. The delivery will be carried out in two batches: ten battle tanks by the end of June and nine more in September.

19:46 Pope Francis again called for negotiations. In his weekly audience at the Vatican, the pontiff remembered the inhabitants of "martyrned Ukraine and the Holy Land, Palestine, Israel, who suffer so much from the horrors of war." “And let us never forget that war is always a defeat. In a state of war it is impossible to move forward. We must make every effort to negotiate to end the war. Let us pray for this,” Francis stressed.

19:13 Russia again attacked Kharkov, previously with an X-59 missile. A shell hit the enterprise, a strong fire started, five people are already known to have died, and there may be up to ten more people under the rubble. About what is known, see the material Strike on Kharkov.

18:25 Zelensky said that he met with the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kaisa Ollongren, who visited the Dnieper and inspected the consequences of the Russian strikes. We discussed strengthening the Ukrainian air defense system, providing the Defense Forces with artillery, armored vehicles and UAVs.

18:02 In Kharkov, another body was released from the rubble - the number of deaths has increased to five, said the head of the OBA Oleg Sinegubov. Emergency services continue to work at the scene.

17:24 Ukraine is capable of increasing the production of drones to 2 million units per year, but this requires additional financial assistance from the West, said Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov.

17:21 Shmygal said that Ukraine is counting on the delivery of the first batch of artillery ammunition as early as April under the Czech initiative. The Prime Minister said that today in Brussels at a meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council, the issue of finding additional resources to the funds that the Czech Republic is currently collecting was raised. According to Shmygal, the European initiative for the purchase of shells from Ukraine is a separate direction and an additional resource that Ukraine should also receive this year.

17:18 The Russians struck the village of Maksimovka, Ugledar community, Donetsk region. As a result of the hit in a private house, two people were killed and one was injured, said the head of the OVA, Vadim Filashkin.

16:39 The third in Ukraine and one of the largest recruiting centers for the Ukrainian army in the state began operating in Dnepr, the Ministry of Defense reported. The agency plans to open 27 recruiting centers in the first half of 2024.

16:18 Amid statements about a possible Russian attack on one of the NATO members in Europe, military personnel are being dismissed from service. According to Western media, now the EU governments are faced with the question not so much of recruiting new soldiers, but of convincing the military not to leave the service. Moreover, a number of European governments began to consider fundamental changes in the concept of forming their armies. For more details, see the material Europe is bringing back conscription.

15:43 Lithuania is allocating 35 million euros to the Czech initiative to purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine, Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte said.

15:30 Russia has intensified its campaign to discredit Ukraine in the Middle East, reports the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. The Russians also send propaganda materials to the embassies of other states in Cairo, which justify the war against Ukraine.

15:03 The US House of Representatives adopted a resolution on the abduction of Ukrainian children. The document recognizes that the government of the Russian Federation under the leadership of Putin is responsible for the unlawful and illegal abduction of children from Ukraine, and that facilitating illegal adoptions contradicts the obligations of the Russian Federation under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide and constitutes genocide.

The document also states that Russia is trying to destroy a generation of Ukrainian children and thus undermine Ukraine's ability to raise the next generation of citizens and leaders, the ability to rebuild Ukraine after the Russian war, the purpose of which is to destroy the unique Ukrainian language, culture, history and identity.

Among the wounded are printing house workers, two of them are in serious condition. The rescue operation and fire extinguishing are ongoing.

14:26 Ukraine will be able to use F-16 fighters only within its sovereign territory, said Pentagon Speaker Patrick Ryder. At the same time, he noted that the planes will give Ukraine “unique air potential.”

According to him, an army corps, a motorized rifle division, the Dnieper river flotilla and a brigade of river boats of the flotilla have already been formed. Earlier, the Russian Federation decided to recreate the Moscow and Leningrad military districts that existed in Soviet times.

13:27 The European Commission transferred 4.5 billion euros to Ukraine - this is the first tranche of macro-financial assistance from a support package worth 50 billion euros, Borrell said.

13:18 The Cabinet of Ministers announced that it is closing the list of “international war sponsors” maintained by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption. All information from the list will be transferred to the Interdepartmental Group on Sanctions Policy. The decision was made after a report by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on complaints from the diplomatic corps of partner countries about the lack of a regulatory framework for the existence of such a list.

12:52 The Russians have significantly increased the use of aviation in the Lugansk region, increased ground pressure on Belogorovka, and struck the territory of Serebryansky Forest, said the head of the OVA Artem Lysogor.

12:09 The situation near Rabotino, Zaporozhye region, is “fluid, but this is not critical,” said Natalya Gumenyuk, speaker of the Southern Defense Forces. Five private houses were destroyed and several were damaged. In addition, in the morning the enemy fired artillery at Nikopol, one person was injured.

11:11 Kuleba said in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Stampa that Macron spoke about sending not combat units to Ukraine, but instructors: “We never asked for people and combat units, we are proud of our soldiers. When Macron started talking about sending troops to Ukraine, "European leaders panicked. Macron only wanted to say that there is a possibility of training Ukrainian soldiers directly in Ukraine, and not outside its borders, as is happening now."

10:40 Production of scarce 155-mm shells in Ukraine will begin no earlier than the second half of this year, writes The Washington Post, citing a representative of Ukroboronprom. In the meantime, Ukraine independently produces Soviet-style shells of 122 mm and 152 mm caliber, as well as mortar shells, military equipment, and missiles.

As for the production of drones, as reported by Ukroboronprom, it is possible to cover 90% of the demand. For other positions, our own production is not enough to compensate for the lack of international support. The newspaper also writes that Ukraine last month began production of missiles with a range of more than 640 km.

10:29 Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson refused to consider the allocation of aid to Ukraine until the general US budget is adopted. In addition, 14 enemy attacks were repulsed in the Liman direction (in the Belogorivka districts of the Lugansk region, Ternov and Spornoye in the Donetsk region) and 13 attacks in Avdeevsky (in the Berdychi, Orlovka, Tonenky, Pervomaisky, Nevelsky districts of the Donetsk region).

Heavily Armed Militants Storm Pakistan's China-Operated Gwadar Port, 7 Dead
[ZH] A rare terror attack has unfolded at Pakistan's strategic port city of Gwadar on Wednesday, which is crucial to the multi-billion dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). A group of heavily armed militants stormed the complex and engaged in a lengthy firefight with security forces.

Pakistan authorities identified the attackers as Baloch separatists, which had also been armed with bombs. At least seven of the militants were shot dead by security forces. The port has for more than the past decade been run by the China Overseas Port Holding Company.

There are unconfirmed reports that a soldier may have died in the attack. "Attackers carried out many blasts," government official Saeed Ahmed Umrani announced in the aftermath.

Few details have been given about how precisely the attack unfolded, but regional media has indicated that "Majeed Brigade of the proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the attack." The group said it targeted Pakistan intelligence offices. A heavy police and military presence responded to the port as gunfire was still ringing out.

This southwestern region of the Pakistani province of Balochistan (also the name of a region which extends into Iran and Afghanistan) has been focus of heavy investment from China, and despite Balochistan being well-known for its natural resources including minerals, gas, and coal - the local population remains in severe poverty.

Ethnic separatist and radical Islamic terrorist organizations have for years waged a long-running insurgency against the government and its foreign partners, accusing Islamabad of exploiting the population of the region.

These groups have especially sought to target infrastructure and projects of the CPEC, seeing in it further confirmation that the Pakistan government is stealing from locals and enriching itself off foreign investments.

Former US Navy vice admiral says aliens are visiting Earth
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Representatives of alien civilizations have visited and are visiting Earth. Former US Navy Vice Admiral Tim Gallaudet
…are rear admirals generally PhD oceanographers?
made the announcement on March 20 on Christian Harloff's podcast on his YouTube channel.

As Gallaudet explained, he personally became convinced of the reality of visits to our planet by representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations after watching a video recorded in 2015 by US Navy pilots. The video is known as Go Fast, and Gallaudet said he was familiar with its content long before it was widely distributed.

“I saw the Go Fast video before it was published. I received it through secret channels and made sure that we were not alone,” said the former vice admiral.

In addition, according to Gallaudet, he personally knows people from the Department of Defense and the intelligence service who took part in the study of UFO sightings. The officer noted that the Pentagon, in a report from the All Anomalies Research Office (AARO), denies the possible presence of alien creatures on Earth. At the same time, as Gallaudet assures, work on studying UFOs is being carried out in conditions of strict secrecy.

"We are working behind the scenes to facilitate the controlled release of UFO data," the retired vice admiral explained.

Gallaudet added that part of the work on studying alien civilizations should be hidden from the general public, but people, according to the officer, should know that aliens visited Earth.

Earlier, IA Regnum reported that the American billionaire, founder of SpaceX, Elon Musk, admitted that humanity is the only species of life with consciousness in our part of the Milky Way.

As the billionaire explained, if people care about life, they must become “interstellar.”

In May 2023, Stanford University professor Harry Nolan said at a thematic conference in New York that aliens have already visited Earth, and some are still among humans. He also stated that he attended hearings on extraterrestrial life in the US Congress.

In the summer of 2023, the US Congress held hearings for the first time on the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations and contacts with them. Former American intelligence officer David Grash said that he personally communicated with officials who knew about flying objects of “non-human” origin. Grash noted that Washington has been aware of the existence of extraterrestrial activity since the 1930s.

Imagine the impact on Earths Religions?

Likely we'll quickly see the founding of a
New "MEGA-Church of the Extraterrestrials". All with, a suspiciously quickly obtained New bible provided, as translated by the Government Officials in contact with them (The Chosen ☺).

But all joking, snide remarks and suspicions aside. Over 2/3's of the Universe is billions of years older than Earth and has billions of of Earth like planets that could have civilizations 100's millions years older than our Earth. So the odds of extra terrestrial far more intelligent live does exist.

Let's hope we don't get visited by a Far Left, Pronoun, ?Sexual, Progressive Race. Or a race with Book called "How to Prepare man"

Either way, I'll stick with my Bible & Judaeo-Christianity practices.

Fermi paradox

"The Fermi paradox is the discrepancy between the lack of conclusive evidence of advanced extraterrestrial life and the apparently high likelihood of its existence. As a 2015 article put it, "If life is so easy, someone from somewhere must have come calling by now."

Texas State Board of Education Blackballs BlackRock
[TowhnHall] As state leaders continue to recognize and take action to mitigate investment risk caused by woke ESG — environmental, social and governance — policies, the Texas State Board of Education has delivered a significant blow to the world's largest asset manager, BlackRock, due to its embrace and prioritization of "green" energy (read: anything but green) and attempts to force a transition to a "net-zero" carbon emission economy.

Led by Chairman Aaron Kinsey, the Texas State Board of Education found that BlackRock was not in compliance with a provision in Texas state code that prohibits state investment in companies that boycott energy companies, a practice that Kinsey found BlackRock's emphasis on ESG has created.

As a result, the Permanent School Fund (PSF) took action on Tuesday, notifying BlackRock that it was divesting a whopping $8.5 billion from the firm — the largest single divestment from BlackRock since state leaders began rejecting asset management firms with values that run opposite their states' priorities.

Found a probable cause of cravings for sweets after eating
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Scientists from the University of California at Los Angeles have identified a possible reason for the desire to eat even after satiety. As it became known on March 20, activation of special cells vgat PAG of the periaqueductal gray matter in the integument of the midbrain stimulates the body to search for food even if it is already full. The results of the study were published by Nature Communications (Nat Com).

During experiments on laboratory mice, it turned out that the search for additional food upon reaching satiety is due to the activity of vgat PAG, which increases in fear and anxiety. Artificial stimulation of these cells confirmed that the conclusions were correct: when exposed to light, the cells became active and caused anxiety in well-fed rodents, which is why they began to actively monitor moving objects and rush in pursuit of live crickets.

It turned out that humans have a similar mechanism. Their vgat PAG cells are located in the brain stem. According to researchers, their activation or constant hyperactivity can lead to the abuse of fatty and sweet foods even when the body is full.

As Regnum reported, in November 2023, scientists from the University of Sydney found that a lack of protein in a person’s diet can lead to excess weight gain. Its unbalanced intake into the body is one of the main causes of obesity in the world. When consuming high-carbohydrate, high-fat foods, a person may still feel hungry due to lack of protein, and diluting it in a diet high in fat and carbohydrates, resulting in increased energy consumption, is called “protein leverage.”

'Best friends of Ukraine.' How American senators do business during war
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Hint: They ain't s'posed to.

by Denis Davydov

[REGNUM] In April 2019, the first toponym in honor of an American politician appeared in Kiev: a street in the prestigious Pechersky district was named after Republican Senator John McCain, who died in 2018. "A great friend of Ukraine." A former (and hereditary) military man, McCain fiercely hated Russia and helped the Ukrainian struggle in every possible way. For example, he personally spoke on the Maidan, demanding that the Ukrainians be given weapons for the war with the Russians, and the first “wunderwaffe” promoted by propaganda, the Javelin anti-tank missile system, which ended up in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is his merit.

By an incredible coincidence, these systems are produced by Lockheed Martin, which also owns the star of the new era - the Himars multiple launch rocket system. And another “friend of Ukraine” is now fighting for an increase in arms supplies and the provision of ATACMS missiles to Kyiv, which are also made by this company (one of the main arms manufacturers in the USA). Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, with more than 30 years of military experience and the rank of colonel, picked up the fallen banner, clearly laying claim to the next Kiev street.

Since 2022, Graham has consistently advocated for as much military aid as possible for Kiev because, in his words, “giving Ukrainians weapons to kill Russians is the best American investment.” The late McCain was not so straightforward, but the situation has changed. Although in one thing it is stable, as the Ukrainian proverb states, “for someone it’s a holiday, but for a chicken it’s death.”
Even if it were in jest, it was an incredibly stoopid thing to say. If not, it was criminal.
However, the position of the still living senator is significantly adjusted along the way. Simply lobbying the interests of a weapons company, as was done before, is no longer allowed by the current political situation in the United States.

"Until the last Ukrainian." How many people remain under Zelensky's rule?
According to Graham, 70% of Senate Republicans understand the need for assistance to Ukraine, as do the same number of Republicans in the House of Representatives. “But our border has been destroyed at home. So when I come to South Carolina, they say, “Do you want to help Ukraine?” “What about our own border? - he says. “ As political leaders, we must also take into account the problems of our people.”

Therefore, it is wrong to continue to give anything just like that, but an interest-free loan “makes a lot of sense” and will find “great public support in the United States.” The country also owns minerals, “they have a lot of resources” that can be used as collateral. “Ukraine is a very blessed nation. You have smart, energetic and creative people. You are sitting on $3.5-12 trillion of critical minerals that could be used for a new economy. In particular, for the production of batteries,” the American politician noted matter-of-factly.

And here again is a coincidence: during McCain’s time, a batch of Javelins, missiles for them, sniper rifles and ammunition in March 2018 was also not donated, but sold. Even with the sanction of the US State Department and the permission of President Donald Trump. Although is it really important if Petro Poroshenko (also still the president) was personally present at the tests of the ATGM and observed the “happy faces of the soldiers”? The main thing is not money, but the happiness of Ukrainians.

Therefore, McCain, who strongly opposed the Minsk agreements and any ceasefire in the Donbass, was a “true friend.” And Graham continues to be the same, calling for a merciless strike on the Crimean Bridge, and recently giving birth to a real sensation on the topic of mobilization. The senator called on the Ukrainian authorities to adopt a law to tighten it and not tie this issue to the presence or absence of military assistance from the United States.

In his opinion, it is necessary to start mobilizing men under 25 years old into the Ukrainian army, since it is pointless to talk about peace. “No matter what we do, you must fight. No matter what we do, you fight for yourself. I hope that those who are eligible to serve in the Ukrainian army will join. I can't believe this at 27 years old. You are fighting for your life, so you [all] should serve, not at 25 or 27 years old. We need more people,” said the determined senator, who is supported in such endeavors by all the best people in Ukraine.

The key word here is perhaps “us”.

After all, Graham, who clearly expects to continue his political career, cannot go against the grain. Therefore, with one hand he personally voted against the allocation of $60 billion in gratuitous aid to Ukraine, and with the other he must work to prolong the military conflict as much as possible, increasing the demand for his goods.

The senator does not call for the adoption of a “mobilization” bill for the sake of allocating American military assistance; on the contrary, he calls not to count on help, but at the same time to tighten mobilization. All this fits well into business logic, and the proposal for a loan or collateral will no longer look so strange and impossible.

Graham himself began to draw direct business parallels when he called military aid to Ukraine a “good investment.” It’s just that in the current conditions, two opposing parties have different visions of these investments.

Donald Trump, whose opinion must be taken into account, has clearly stated that the United States should stop providing aid to other countries unless it is structured as a loan. But the White House under Biden does not consider transferring aid to Ukraine on credit a good option. For them, this is an investment in the US defense industrial base, since they rule the global process and can make money somewhere else. But from this angle, everything looks even more cynical.

In this situation, what could be the reaction of the Ukrainian side, which is famous throughout the world for its “emotional diplomacy”? After all, they are offered to die for commercial interests in any case, no matter how the American election solitaire turns out. But none. The answer is only polite consent. If we recall recent statements by Ukrainian politicians about the prospects for US military assistance and mobilization, they are quite consistent with the words of Lindsey Graham.

In particular, the head of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia, directly stated that in the absence of American military assistance in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more people will actually have to be mobilized to compensate for its lack. Vladimir Zelensky also spoke about the fact that “without American military assistance, more people will die at the front.”

“All our actions must be far-sighted, large-scale and as effective as possible in order to allow free countries to continue to live in freedom and security,” he said following a meeting with his American “friend.”

Thus, far-sightedness and scale consist, first of all, in the complete extermination of the male population of Ukraine and, if possible, the destruction of some young and energetic women. In return for this, American partners will sooner or later provide the opportunity to give away mineral resources and strategic assets in payment for arms supplies.

True, such a strategy does not answer the question of what will happen when there are no more combat-ready mobilized. But, in principle, it doesn't matter. There are super goals that friend McCain spoke about. For example, joining NATO. The deceased considered it a mistake that the alliance had stopped Ukraine’s path to membership and therefore could not enter the war with all its strength in accordance with the requirements of the fifth article of the organization’s Charter. As they say, they didn’t listen to the old man, and now Macron has to take the rap.

So friend Graham now says:

“I support Ukraine’s accession to NATO and your membership in the EU. I appreciate our NATO allies, but none of them can fight like Ukraine. If I had to pick a group of people I wanted to fight alongside, you would be at the top of the damn list. <…> NATO will not provide you with a service. You will be providing a service to NATO."

After all, what are Ukrainian Euro-Atlantic aspirations and the help of the aggressive bloc? This is a guaranteed war with Russia. Consequently, the arms sales business will continue to flourish. And Ukraine’s “friends” will not decrease, even if a street in Pechersk is renamed in Kyiv in memory of the next senator.

Russian defense minister Shoigu: Russian Armed Forces to form two armies, 14 divisions by the end of the year
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

This is in line with their formation of two new military districts, announced two weeks ago ago.

[Regnum] As part of increasing combat capabilities in the Russian Armed Forces, two armies, 14 divisions and 16 brigades will be formed by the end of the year, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced on March 20 at a meeting of the department’s board.

“By the end of the year, it is planned to form two combined arms armies and thirty formations, including fourteen divisions and sixteen brigades,” he said.

The head of the Ministry of Defense added that in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the progressive development of the Armed Forces and the increase in their combat capabilities continues. Thus, they formed an army corps, a motorized rifle division, the Dnieper River Flotilla and a brigade of river boats of the flotilla.

As Regnum news agency reported on March 20, Shoigu said that the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the beginning of 2024 amounted to more than 71,000 people and 11 thousand weapons. This is almost three times higher than the same period of the previous year.

Since the beginning of 2024, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed four Abrams and five Leopard tanks, 27 Bradley vehicles, six HIMARS launchers and 11 launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems, including five Patriots, in the Northern Military District zone.

Shoigu also said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 3,500 soldiers trying to capture border settlements in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.

Zakharova announced NATO plans to open a second front against Russia in Transcaucasia

The North Atlantic Alliance sets a maximum goal, namely to open a second front against Russia in Transcaucasia. Official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova stated this at a briefing on March 20.

“There is a maximum task, namely to open a second front in Transcaucasia against our country and, in general, set the region on fire again,” the diplomat said.

Zakharova added in this regard that NATO was not satisfied with Russian policy aimed at pacifying the region. Those agreements that were reached through the mediation of Moscow literally worked as a red rag for the West, because it was the road to peace, she noted.

As Regnum reported, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg visited Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia from March 17 to 19. In Baku on March 17, he met with President Ilham Aliyev, and on March 18 he held negotiations with the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of the republic. On March 18, Stoltenberg and the head of the Georgian government, Irakli Kobakhidze, discussed the issue of integrating the republic into the alliance in Tbilisi.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said on March 19 that NATO’s desire to expand influence in the Caucasus will not add stability to the region.

Two terrorists killed, as many injured in North Waziristan IBO
[GEO.TV] The security forces bumped off two turbans and injured two others during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's (KP) North Wazoo, one of the most affected region in the country by militancy.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the turbans were neutralised in an intense exchange of fire during the IBO conducted on the night between March 19 and March 20.

"Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area," the military’s media wing stated.

It said that sanitisation operation was being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the security forces of Pakistain are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country.

As the country witnesses a spike in terrorist attacks, resulting in deaths of several civilians and law enforcement officials, the security forces have been actively operating in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
and areas most affected by militancy.

Earlier today, a terrorist bid was foiled when some turbans tried to attack and enter the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) complex in the port city.

A group of at least eight button men stormed the GPA complex but the security forces acted swiftly and foiled the attempt, killing all the bad boys, who belonged to outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), Geo News reported citing sources.

Today’s attack follows a fierce terrorist attack on a security forces' check post in KP’s Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, last week, which saw seven Pakistain Army soldiers — including a lieutenant colonel and captain — embracing martyrdom.

On Monday, Pak forces carried out intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the border regions inside Afghanistan against turbans launching attacks in Pakistain from Afghan soil.

In the light of recent wave of terrorism in Pakistain, ISPR has said that the continuous use of Afghan soil is behind the "growing terrorism in Pakistain".

Clear evidence of turbans coming from Afghanistan, the military’s media wing said, is the reason behind growing incidents of terrorism.

WSJ: The US Department of Justice offered Assange's lawyers the opportunity to mitigate the charges
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The United States Department of Justice has offered lawyers for journalist and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange the opportunity to mitigate charges in exchange for his guilty plea. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources.

“The US Department of Justice is considering whether to allow Julian Assange to plead guilty to a reduced charge of mishandling classified information,” the material says.

It is noted that over the past few months, representatives of the department have held a number of negotiations with Assange’s lawyers, during which the parties discussed the formula for a possible deal.

According to the source, the journalist’s confession can be organized remotely, that is, without extradition from the UK. In addition, the five years spent in prison will be taken into account when sentenced.

As Regnum reported, on February 20 and 21, hearings on Assange’s extradition to the United States were held at the High Court in London; at the moment, no decision has been made. In the United States, the founder of WikiLeaks faces 18 criminal charges, on which he faces a total of up to 175 years in prison. One of the last options to prevent his extradition to the United States may be an appeal to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).

Lithuania experiences massive outage on government websites
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The websites of the President and Prime Minister of Lithuania, as well as ministries and a number of government agencies of the republic have stopped working, the BNS agency reported, citing adviser to the head of the republic Rydas Jasyulionis.

According to him, there is currently no access to these resources. Jasyulionis noted that experts are investigating the causes of the failure.

As Regnum reported, at the end of February, the Israeli newspaper Globes wrote that four telecommunications submarine cables were damaged in the Red Sea. According to journalists, this allegedly happened due to an attack carried out by the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement (Houthis).

On March 5, information appeared that broken cables connected the countries of Europe, Asia and Africa. Because of this, problems with the Internet were recorded in a number of countries.
Blaming it on Houthi dredging instead of Russian hackers? How novel.

Planet Fitness sees $400 MILLION wiped off its value in just five days
Pretty weak.
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Planet Fitness' valuation has plummeted $400 million in five days after they banned a member who shared a photo of a 'trans woman' using a female locker room.

The company's value dropped from $5.3 billion on March 14 to $4.9 billion on March 19, and its shares are down by 13.59 percent compared to a month ago.

The decline follows Planet Fitness' refusal to walk back its decision to ban a member who exposed a 'trans woman' shaving in a female locker room earlier this month.

Patricia Silva was barred from the gym in Alaska after she detailed an incident online - where she said she saw a transgender woman in her locker room.

Following backlash against the ban, the company said although some members may feel uncomfortable sharing facilities, 'this discomfort is not a reason to deny access to the transgender member.'

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Calling for hostage release deal, families and supporters block Tel Aviv highway
Effectively on the side of the enemy in the middle of yet another existential war. If only they were insightful enough to be ashamed of themselves.
[IsraelTimes] Protesters standing in Ayalon Highway unfurl banner depicting three members of war cabinet and declaring that reaching an agreement ’is on you’

Family members of the hostages and their supporters blocked a main Tel Aviv highway during rush hour Wednesday morning in a protest calling on the government to reach a deal to free the captives being held by the Paleostinian terror group Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip.

Demonstrators unfurled a sign with pictures of members of the war cabinet that read: "It’s on you, don’t come back from Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
without a deal."

The three members of the war cabinet, which was formed to oversee the conflict, are Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Minister Benny Gantz, who brought his opposition National Unity party into the government as a wartime emergency measure. MK Aryeh Deri, MK Gadi Eisenkot, and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer act as observers in the forum.

Protesters blocked the northbound lane of the Ayalon Highway near the LaGuardia Interchange for some 15 minutes before dispersing.

The demonstration came as Israeli negotiators are in Qatar for talks via mediators to reach a temporary ceasefire deal in the fighting that would include the release of hostages kidnapped from Israel in Hamas’s massive attack of October 7, which started the war.

Among those who reportedly participated in the protest were Ayala Metzger, Yiftah Calderon, Shai Mozes, and Yael Or, all of whom have relatives held in Gaza.

Metzger, the daughter-in-law of 80-year-old Yoram Metzger, who has been held in Gaza since October 7, vowed in a statement to continue to block traffic as long as the hostages remain in Gaza.

"There will be no normal reality while Israeli civilians are languishing in Hamas captivity," she said. "Israel cannot be the same country while they are there, the government must do everything to make sure the deal goes through."

Calderon, a cousin of hostage Ofer Calderon, told Channel 13 that most drivers showed support for the protesters, though one did call out an insult as he drove past.

"The hostages were abandoned on October 7 and they are being abandoned now," she said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the chili cook-off, Chuck slipped the habañero into the roasted jalapeño...
activists calling for immediate elections demonstrated outside the homes of coalition politicians. Protests were held at the homes of senior Likud MK Yuli Edelstein in Herzliya, Education Minister Yoav Kisch in Hod Hasharon, and the homes of MK Gila Gamliel and Boaz Bismuth in Tel Aviv, Danny Danon in Raanana, and Environmental Protection Minister Idit Silman in Rehovot.

Truce talks in Doha, mediated by hosts Qatar, along with the US and Egypt, resumed Monday night. The indirect negotiations to pause the war in Gaza and release hostages kidnapped on October 7 were expected to take about two weeks.

Mossad chief David Barnea, who led the Israeli delegation to the talks, returned to Israel on Tuesday and briefed the war cabinet on developments.

War erupted on October 7 when thousands of Hamas-led snuffies burst through the border from the Gaza Strip, killed about 1,200 people in southern Israel and took 253 hostages. Israel responded with a military campaign to destroy Hamas and release the captives.

A previous deal brokered by mediators in November saw the release of 105 hostages over the course of a weeklong pause to the fighting, in exchange for 240 Paleostinian prisoners.

US, Egyptian, and Qatari mediators had been hoping to reach a second deal to free hostages and halt the war before the Moslem fasting month of Ramadan, which began last week, but talks faltered.

The deal being discussed now is based on a framework reached in Gay Paree last month for a six-week truce in Gaza and the release of some 40 children, women, elderly and sick hostages in the first phase, in exchange for hundreds of Paleostinian security prisoners held by Israel.

There have been weekly Saturday protests in Tel Aviv calling for the government to agree on a hostage release deal. In addition, recent weeks have seen other protests calling for immediate elections.

Participants at the two rallies have sometimes merged following the main events to form a united demonstration, at times blocking the Ayalon Highway, which traverses Tel Aviv along a north-south axis and is a major artery for the region.

On Saturday, anti-government protesters blocked major roads and scuffled with police in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem during weekly protests demanding new elections and an immediate hostage deal.

North Korea successfully tested a solid-fuel engine for a hypersonic missile
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The DPRK successfully tested a solid-fuel jet engine for a new medium-long-range hypersonic missile, led by the country's leader Kim Jong-un. The North Korean Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA) reported this on March 20.

It is clarified that the planned ground test of the nozzle of a multi-stage solid propellant jet engine for a new hypersonic rocket was carried out on March 19 at the Sohae Cosmodrome by the General Directorate of Rocket Science of the DPRK and the subordinate Research Institute of Engines.

The test took place under the leadership of Kim Jong-un and senior personnel.

“The successful completion of this critical test established the timetable for the development and improvement of the medium-long-range hypersonic missile system,” the statement said.

After the successful test, the DPRK leader pointed out that the strategic value of the new missile, in his words, is no less than intercontinental ballistic missiles, noting “great satisfaction with the impeccable execution” of the party’s tasks in the field of creating strategic weapons.

As Regnum reported, on January 25, the DPRK Main Directorate of Rocket Science carried out a test launch of a new type of strategic cruise missile for the first time. It was noted that the rocket is still at the development stage.

On January 29, KCNA reported the successful test of North Korean Pulhwasal-3-31 cruise missiles. They were launched from a submarine, after which the missiles accurately hit the conditional targets.

God of the Ukrainian patriot. Why Ukraine is always for Putin and Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Denis Davydov

[REGNUM] Many years ago, I had fun taking screenshots from the “Opinion” sections of Ukrainian patriotic media. Columns dedicated to Russia and Putin (especially him) regularly occupied approximately one hundred percent of the entire allocated space.

It was amazing.

As a “Kremlin agent”, “cottage wool” and “fifth column” known to everyone in the area, I was practically not interested in Russian news. It has always been important for me to talk about the problems of Ukraine, which was rapidly flying into the black garbage chute along with the dignity gained after the Maidan. And here there was a feeling that Putin was the god of the Ukrainian patriot. He simply could not live without inquiring every minute about affairs in Moscow and how the seemingly hated, but very respected Vladimir Vladimirovich was feeling.

Moreover, the entire life of the country was built on the struggle personally against this man. Starting with Petro Poroshenko, who simply had no other competitors in politics, and ending with the lumpen from Borshchagovka, who installed “PTN-PNH” license plates on his cars. He did not notice the eternal Borshchahiv dirt and squalor: he was completely absorbed in what was more important.

When today the main opposition leader of all Russia, Yulia Navalnaya, talks about “Alexei’s formula” - to fight the regime for 15 minutes a day, this is evidence of weakness and lack of will. Her Ukrainian colleagues did this around the clock, shouting chants about Putin even while drinking alcohol at barbecues, instead of folk songs. These sacred moments of life for every person were also thrown onto the altar of the holy war.

Nowadays, the number of blogs on this topic has dropped somewhat, since there are other important topics. But all the same, one way or another they are connected with Russia and Putin. Will the States give or not give money for the war with him? And where can we get more people? Will new weapons help? But still, one cannot do without the personal presence of the deity in the texts. Because it revealed another miracle, inaccessible to the Ukrainian average: presidential elections were held in the Russian Federation.

For Ukraine, where, as everyone knows, there is unprecedented freedom, democracy, human rights and European values, elections are prohibited. And not because they cannot be carried out, it’s just that Zelensky categorically does not want this, who has not even caved in to the demands of his American “partners.” The former actor knows how to be persistent: for him it is literally a matter of life and death. Therefore, the theme “dictatorship is not so bad” is already being carefully aired on the air of a single telethon.

The “fake elections” in Russia (which everyone secretly envy) were literally examined under a microscope. Of course, experts unanimously came to the conclusion that this is what a true dictatorship looks like. Because everyone also knows that “behind the curb” is a totalitarian regime and slaves. If you didn’t check the box on your ballot, you were shot. And freedom-loving Ukrainians fight not to be such and to live as they themselves decided. But to win, they just need a dictatorship. It’s just not a bad Russian one, but a correct one, our own.

“The maximum number of decisions is made by the president, the maximum number of government agencies are oriented towards the president, and, probably, full responsibility for issues of war and international relations rests entirely with the president. For the country, for the people, dictatorship is definitely always a minus. But to win the war, this may be the tool that will defeat the enemy,” said People’s Deputy from the Servant of the People Sergei Demchenko.

He explains: the struggle is “with a no less totalized country and a dictatorial regime at the highest level.” So all these pussies, different opinions and criticism are not for such difficult times. We must rally around the authorities and voluntarily give up our rights and freedoms. This is the main difference: Russian slaves are not free from birth, but Ukrainians became slaves because they themselves wanted it. Well, or they will want to, since all this seems to be “still to come” and “not certain.”

I hope the logical line is not lost on the dear reader. But just in case, let’s clarify: Russia is a dictatorship, therefore, Ukraine also needs to become one, otherwise it will not win. And since elections in dictatorial regimes are held at gunpoint (as in the Russian Federation), there is no point in them. Therefore, there is no need to waste time and money on this under martial law; you cannot copy the destructive practices of the enemy. You just need to admit from the bottom of your heart that there is no and cannot be an alternative to Zelensky. Otherwise, who will challenge the evil deity in the Kremlin? Only those who are close to him in status. It won’t even talk to everyone, let alone fight.

So Putin’s new presidential term is a real, full-bodied happiness for Ukraine. Without him, who will fill the void? There are no objectively balanced figures in Russian political life; it’s even somehow insulting to worship some figure of the second echelon. I am sure that professional patriots would even vote secretly themselves, if only the object of their worship would not disappear anywhere for as long as possible. And Russia must be strong, must develop its army and navy, and strengthen its international position. Be “ attractive and effective.”

Because otherwise the existence of an entire state “in the very center of Europe” loses all meaning. Without Russia he has no goal, without Putin he has no life guidelines.

It’s not really about people to think about.

Government Corruption
Wisconsin Democrat Kimberly Zapata Found Guilty on All Counts Against Her in Voter Fraud Scheme
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] In November 2022, Rep. Janel Brandtjen, then Chair of the Assembly on Campaigns and Elections, sent out an election fraud alert.

Rep. Brandtjen received three authentic military ballots to her home addressed to "Holly," a woman who has never lived there.

Brantjen believed this was part of a scheme to steal votes in Wisconsin.

The Gateway Pundit has reported extensively on this 2020 voter fraud scheme in several battleground states where military ballots shockingly went almost entirely to Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences...
. We posted evidence that this occurred in Michigan, Arizona and Georgia.

Later that week Wisconsin radio host Dan O’Donnell broke the news that Kimberly Zapata, the deputy director of the City of Milwaukee Election Commission, was fired for committing election fraud.

Milwaukee Elections Commission Director Claire Woodall-Vogg, who we have spotlighted several times at The Gateway Pundit for her questionable actions, says she believes that Zapata was attempting to point out that military ballots can be requested and sent out without a photo ID or even voter registration.

Democrats say Zapata was trying to prove how easy it was to request fake ballots when she committed her crime. Democrats rushed in to defend her. Democrats argued that this was all a conspiracy theory. Even though it worked EXACTLY like Zapata said it would.

Kimberly Zapata later lawyered up.

The Thomas More Society Attorneys Erick Kaardal, Michael Gableman, and Rep. Brandtjen filed a lawsuit on Friday November 4, 2022.

Don’t be fooled. If you believe this was the only instance of military voter fraud in the state, you are highly mistaken.

Fast forward to today —

On Wednesday Kimberly Zapata was found guilty on ALL counts against her for illegally requesting military ballots.

FOX 6 Now reported:

A Milwaukee County jury has reached a verdict in the trial of Kimberly Zapata — and found Zapata guilty on all counts against her.

Zapata is the fired Milwaukee Election Commission deputy director accused of illegally requesting military ballots and sending them to the home of State Rep. Janel Brandtjen (R-Menomonee Falls).

Zapata did not testify in her own defense. She was charged with election fraud. Prosecutors say in 2022, she ordered military ballots using names she made up. Zapata told Sherlocks she was trying to prove there is fraud in our election system. She said she never intended the ballots to be processed...

...In Wisconsin, military voters do not have to show a photo ID to receive an absentee ballot.

Court documents say clerks sent three ballots to the home of State Rep. Janel Brandtjen — who then reported them to the authorities.

Iraq
UN mission probing ISIS crimes in Iraq forced to shut down early
”We’re the UN and we’re here to help,” with all the grace and tact of a self-righteous bull in a china shop.
[IsraelTimes] UNITAD to end investigations in country in mid-September due to souring relationship with government

A United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
mission set up to help Iraq investigate alleged Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
genocide and war crimes is being forced to shut down prematurely before it can finish its probes, following a souring of its relationship with the Iraqi government.

The removal of the UN mission set up in 2017 comes nearly a decade after the krazed killer group rampaged across Syria and Iraq and at a time when many of the Islamic State’s victims still live displaced in camps and long for justice.

"Is the work done? Not yet, this is pretty clear," Christian Ritscher, head of the UN Investigative Team to Promote Accountability for Crimes Committed by ISIS (UNITAD), told Rooters in an interview.

"We need more time... If you look at an end-date of September 2024, we will not achieve completion of all investigative lines," nor other projects such as creating a central archive for millions of pieces of evidence, he said.

Ritscher was speaking at length about the closure for the first time since the UN Security Council renewed the agency’s mandate for only one final year in September at Iraq’s request.

UNITAD’s international backers and donors had expected its work would continue for several more years.

Critics of Iraq’s decision to end the mission say it will hamper efforts to hold more members of IS accountable after UNITAD contributed to at least three convictions on charges of genocide and other international crimes in Germany and Portugal.

They also say it casts doubt on Iraq’s commitment to holding IS members accountable for such crimes at home, at a time when the vast majority of convictions in Iraq are made for simple membership of a terrorist organization, rather than specific crimes such as sexual abuse or slavery.

From Iraq’s perspective, UNITAD was no longer needed and had not successfully cooperated with Iraqi authorities, Farhad Alaaldin, foreign affairs adviser to the prime minister, told Rooters.

"In our view, the mission has ended and we appreciate the work that has been done and it’s time to move on," he said, noting the mission "didn’t respond to repeated requests for sharing evidence" and must now do so before it ends.

’HIGHLY POLITICAL’
But that transfer of information appears uncertain.

UNITAD was set up to help Iraq hold IS members accountable for international crimes — genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity — but Iraq has not passed legislation for that to happen in-country, leaving UNITAD "in a waiting position," Ritscher said.

Additionally, UNITAD was reluctant to share evidence it gathered with Iraqi authorities because of Iraq’s use of the death penalty
, which goes against UN policy, according to six people familiar with the mission’s work.

These factors put UNITAD in the awkward position of gathering evidence, including hundreds of witness testimonies, in Iraq but mainly using that evidence in legal processes abroad, in a mismatch that festered for years.

Rooters spoke to nine diplomats and international officials and four Iraqi sources to piece together this account of how UNITAD’s mission came to be curbed and the consequences it may have for accountability efforts.

Apart from the baked-in mismatch between the mission’s goals and Iraq’s expectations, six people said that under Ritscher, a seasoned German prosecutor, UNITAD had not properly invested in the politics of dealing with Iraqi authorities, harming the relationship.

"Death penalty was always a main issue with UNITAD. Its mandate was far-fetched but many hoped it could work," a senior international diplomat said, referring to the incompatibility between goals and expectations.

"Added to that, the current leadership did not have the political skills to reach out. That doesn’t work here in Iraq. Everything is highly political here."

In response to that comment, a UNITAD spokesperson said the mission had absolute clarity from the beginning that it existed under the request of Iraq, and was always convinced the Iraqi judiciary was its main partner.

The spokesperson noted UNITAD’s production of joint case files with the Iraqi judiciary for trials abroad, as well as capacity-building for judges and cooperation on the exhumation of 70 mass graves and dignified burials for IS victims.

LOST HOPE
For many IS victims who distrust Iraq’s government and saw UNITAD’s presence as a reassuring sign of the international community’s support, the end of the mission has come as a blow.

These include members of Iraq’s Yazidi community, a religious minority Islamic State sees as devil worshippers and subjected to mass killings, sexual violence, and enslavement.

"It’s very hard to see them leave us like this in the middle of the road," said Zina, a Yazidi enslaved by IS at the age of 16 and held in captivity for three years.

She spoke via phone from a displacement camp near her native Sinjar in northwestern Iraq to which she cannot return amid concerns over security and lack of government compensation.
)
She asked Rooters to withhold her full name due to the sensitivity of what was discussed.

Zina said she was physically and sexually abused in captivity and true justice would require the family that enslaved her to be tried for those crimes, rather than convicted of simple membership of a terrorist group.

"We wanted UNITAD to give us the chance to achieve even a little bit of justice in Iraq but, as I see it, the world failed us," she said, referring to UNITAD’s impending closure.

Alaaldin said the government respected the critical views of citizens and was more supportive of Iraq’s minority communities than previous administrations.

Ritscher said he understood victims’ concerns but "I do not share the very negative assumptions about Iraq’s judiciary."

With the mission set to end by mid-September, a burning question currently under negotiation between Iraq and the world body is what happens to the mass of evidence UNITAD gathered.

On the one hand, some diplomats, activists, and victims are concerned it could be misused by Iraq, including in trials with little due process that might result in death sentence
...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead...
s. On the other, much of the evidence could be critical to holding IS members accountable for specific international crimes.

"What we aimed to achieve is a proper completion. We want to ensure that this work is not lost or will simply go into a dead archive somewhere in the basement of a UN building," Ritscher said, though there is not yet clarity on the matter.

Razaw Salihy, Iraq researcher at Amnesia Amnesty International, noted flaws in the Iraqi justice system "that have landed thousands of men and boys on death row via confessions extracted under torture, duress and other kinds of ill-treatment."

Iraq denies obtaining confessions through coercion.

Salihy said Iraq should reform its judiciary and pass a law on international crimes but noted political will might be lacking among a ruling coalition that includes gangs.

"It could be a Pandora’s box. A working mechanism to hold members of IS accountable could also very easily be used to hold members of Iraqi security forces and gangs accountable," she said.

Eilat Port to lay off half its staff due to Houthi attacks stymieing shipping trade
[IsraelTimes] Histadrut Labor Federation says terminal’s administration notified its 120 workers that 60 would be fired, accuses managers of taking advantage of war
Idiot labour union is still somewhat powerful in Israel, despite the labour socialist movement having lost control of the political levers of power.
Half the workers at Eilat Port are at risk of losing their jobs after the southern seaport took a major financial hit due to the crisis in Red Sea shipping lanes, Israel’s main labor federation said on Wednesday.

Eilat sits on the northern tip of the Red Sea and was one of the first ports to be affected as shipping firms rerouted vessels to avoid attacks by the Iran-backed Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...

IDF: 90 Hamas gunnies killed, over 300 nabbed in raid of Gaza’s Shifa Hospital
[IsraelTimes] Operation at Strip’s largest medical center continues; bigwigs in terror group’s emergency committee slain in Rafah Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...

The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday continued an operation against Hamas

The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
City’s Shifa Hospital, with the military saying troops had killed more than 90 button men so far.

The operation, which began early Monday morning, was being carried out by the Navy’s Shayetet 13 commando unit, the 401st Armored Brigade, and other forces.

Troops raided the hospital, the largest medical center in the Gaza Strip, after Israeli intelligence indicated that Hamas operatives, including commanders, had returned to the complex to use it as a command center for planning attacks against Israel and troops in Gaza. It was previously raided by the military in November.

"Over the past day, the troops have eliminated bandidos holy warriors and located weapons in the hospital area, while preventing harm to civilians, patients, medical teams and medical equipment," the IDF said in a statement Wednesday morning.

The IDF said that hundreds of terror suspects had so far been questioned at the hospital complex by field interrogators of the Military Intelligence Directorate’s Unit 504 and the Shin Bet security agency.

In a video statement from the hospital on Wednesday, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said troops had detained between 250 and 300 terror operatives at the medical center during the ongoing operation.

He said another 300 suspects were also being questioned.

"We are talking about many [Paleostinian Islamic Jihad

Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. ] operatives, including battalion commanders, Hamas operatives, including political officials," Hagari said.

"We will reach all the bandidos holy warriors in this area. Our goal is to arrest the bigwigs alive and bring them in for interrogation. Whoever fights against us will be killed," he continued.

Photos circulating on social media on Wednesday showed IDF troops detaining suspected Hamas operatives at the hospital overnight.

Among those detained at Shifa and brought to Israel for further questioning was Mahmoud Qawasmeh, a senior Hamas operative involved in the planning of the 2014 kidnapping and murder of Eyal Yifrach, Gil-ad Shaer, and Naftali Fraenkel, the Shin Bet announced.

In a statement, the security agency said Qawasmeh was "one of the planners and financiers of the infrastructure that carried out the kidnapping and murder attack" in 2014.

The Shin Bet said he had been exiled to the Gaza Strip as part of the 2011 Shalit deal, where he continued to advance attacks in the West Bank, including shooting attacks in recent years carried out by Hamas cells.

Hagari, in his statement, said the IDF was also providing food and water to the civilians sheltering at the hospital and brought in generators for Shifa’s ER.

He said the operation at Shifa would likely last several more days.

The IDF also released a video showing weapons recovered by troops at Shifa, and clips of the elite Duvdevan commando unit operating on the hospital’s premises.

Two Israeli soldiers have been killed in the operation at Shifa, and a senior Hamas commander was slain in an exchange of fire with troops seeking to detain him.

Israeli troops first entered the hospital early in the conflict, on November 5. The war was triggered on October 7 when some 3,000 bandidos holy warriors stormed the border with Israel and unleashed an unprecedented attack on the country’s southern communities, killing some 1,200 people, most of them civilians, and taking 253 hostages to Gaza, where more than half remain.

The IDF also said Wednesday it had struck a Hamas tunnel shaft in northern Gaza overnight. The site was identified after a rocket was fired toward the southern city of Sderot on Tuesday. It fell short and landed inside Gaza.

Also in northern Gaza, the IDF said it struck a six-man Hamas cell in the Jabaliya area.

In central Gaza, the Nahal Brigade continued to battle Hamas operatives over the past day, and in southern Gaza, the 98th Division was battling the terror group in the Khan Younis suburb of al-Qarara, the IDF said.

Also Wednesday, the IDF and Shin Bet announced that an airstrike in southern Gaza’s Rafah earlier in the week had killed senior officers in Hamas’s so-called Emergency Committee.

In the strike carried out by fighter jets on Monday, Sayyid Qutb Hashash, Osama Hamad Dhahir, and Hadi Abu al-Rous were killed, and Muhammad Awad al-Malalhi was apparently maimed, according to the IDF.

Hashash, Dhahir, and al-Malalhi were the heads of Hamas’s Emergency Committee in the north and east Rafah areas, and al-Rous was the operations officer of the Emergency Committee, the IDF said.

The committee is a Hamas body tasked with maintaining public order and civil control in the Strip’s municipalities.

The IDF said the officials were "responsible for organizing terror activity and communication with Hamas operatives on the ground" as well as aiding "the military wing of the terror organization to establish continued control.

"The senior officers were the emissaries of Hamas leadership in Rafah, concentrated Hamas’s activity in humanitarian zones and were responsible for coordination with Hamas operatives in the field," it said.

The strike came after the IDF targeted Nidal al-Eid, the head of the Emergency Committee in Rafah last week, the military added.

More than a million Paleostinians displaced by the five-month-old war between Israel and Hamas have been sheltering in Rafah, which abuts Gaza’s border with Egypt.

Israel says one-sixth of Hamas’s combat strength — four battalions of rifle- and rocket-wielding fighters — is in Rafah and must be crushed before the war can conclude. But the prospect of a spiraling civilian toll has raised alarm abroad.

With a new round of mediated talks underway in Qatar

They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
on a possible release of hostages, the White House said it would confer with Jerusalem before any troops or tanks move into Rafah.

The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry said on Wednesday 104 Paleostinians had been killed in fighting in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, bringing its official corpse count since October 7 to 31,923.

These figures cannot be independently verified, and are believed to include both civilians and Hamas members killed in Gaza, including as a consequence of terror groups’ own rocket misfires. The IDF says it has killed over 13,000 operatives in Gaza, in addition to some 1,000 bandidos holy warriors inside Israel on October 7.

Africa Subsaharan
South Africa: ANC takes new opposition party to court
[AFRICANEWS] South Africa's ruling African National Congress (ANC) is suing the independent electoral body and a rival political party led by a former president, highlighting divisions ahead of what could be the most crucial election of the last 30 years in the country.

The ANC says the new uMkhonto weSizwe ( Spear of the Nation ) party did not meet registration criteria in September. The case opened on Tuesday before the electoral court in Bloemfontein, in the centre of the country.

The new party, also known as MK and led by ex-South African president and former ANC leader Jacob Zuma, could be deregistered and unable to contest the May 29 national elections. MK officials said they would not accept being disqualified, with one even threatening "civil war".

MK sowed trouble within the ANC by using the name of its now-disbanded military wing, which had been founded by Nelson Mandela. The ANC is challenging the use of the name uMkhonto weSizwe and a logo that bears a striking resemblance to that of its former military branch in separate legal proceedings over copyright infringement.

Zuma's decision to pledge support for MK has added a new element to the bitter rivalry. The two parties have exchanged insults in recent months. ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula called Zuma "the most destructive person" to South Africa's democratic progress and referred to the new party's officials as his "chihuahuas".

Zuma was forced out of South Africa's leadership in 2018 following corruption allegations and is currently on trial for corruption, although that case has faced long delays. He has been extremely critical of the ANC of his successor, current South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Mr Zuma was suspended from the ANC after publicly supporting Mr MK. He attended Tuesday's hearing at the Electoral Court, as did Mbalula.

The ANC has governed South Africa for 30 years since the end of apartheid's system of racial segregation in 1994, but it is expected to face its toughest test in the vote of this year. Several polls predict that the ANC will lose its majority for the first time and will be forced to form a coalition to stay in power.

According to the latest poll conducted in February and March, MK could become South Africa's third party after its first national election, with significant support in Zuma's home province of KwaZulu-Natal, where it is expected to gain ground. voice in the ANC.

The ANC has denied the legal action is a reaction to the political threat posed by MK and Zuma.

MK's response to the legal action has also troubled South Africans, particularly comments from Visvin Reddy, a party official in KwaZulu-Natal. "Listen to me very carefully," Mr. Reddy said in a speech earlier this month. "This country will descend into civil war the day MK is not allowed to campaign and be on the ballot. No one will vote. No one in this country will vote. We will make sure of it."

Iraq
From Kurdistan to Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Text taken from an article which appeared in telegraph.ph

[ColonelCassad] In the previous article, we talked about the Dark Angels group, which carried out reconnaissance and monitoring activities in the Ukrainian conflict zone, while managing to train Ukrainian soldiers and, as usual, hid behind the legend of humanitarian work. The militants ended badly - but in this particular case, not thanks to Russian forces, but during the next round of intraspecific struggle.

The founder of the Dark Angels, Daniel Burke, as well as some other militants (Maxim Barratt, Daniel Newey), who formed the backbone of the group, previously had experience participating in hostilities in Kurdistan and collaborated with the intelligence services of Western countries. This is not some unusual precedent for the Ukrainian conflict.

When the Special Military Operation began, it was attended not only by antisocial elements, about whom the local governments, by and large, did not give a damn, but also by people of a different order - those who had position and status in the local military-political hierarchies. Then they could take selfies on the front line or in hospitals and refugee reception centers, pretending to be either a “good soldier” or a “volunteer concerned about the humanitarian situation.” But in fact, such individuals performed much more serious tasks - sometimes of national importance - they monitored the combat zone, identified the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for Western weapons, analyzed the actions of the Russian army in order to find out its strengths and weaknesses. And, of course, they created local intelligence networks.

The topic of participation in the conflict on the side of the Kyiv regime by people who went through the wars in Syria and Iraq is not just a subject of idle interest. Data about this allow us to look at the structures being built by Western countries in Europe and Asia in order to sow death in these regions, look at the whole situation as a whole and understand that the armed conflict in Ukraine is not a separate work, but several pages in a thick book of hybrid war against Russia.

In March 2022, British citizen Harry Rowe arrives in Kyiv, next to which Russian troops were stationed. He does not advertise his name and uses the pseudonym Macer Gifford. Rowe is 35 years old. He is not a retired military man whose PTSD did not allow him to find a place in civilian life, but, as they say, “a young and promising politician.” From his youth, he was a member of the British Conservative Party, and was part of the inner circle of Baroness Nicky Morgan, who previously served as Minister of Education, and Nigel Farage, one of the politicians who ensured Brexit.

Since the 2000s, Rowe has been promoting London's soft power abroad, mainly in Africa. As a British Council staffer, he first did field work in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Ethiopia, and then, as an assistant to local politician David Coltart, helped organize mass protests in Zimbabwe against President Robert Mugabe. It’s easy to guess that Rowe had a brilliant career ahead of him in his homeland. However, in 2015, he suddenly... dropped everything and went to Syria, where he joined the Kurdish armed formation “People's Self-Defense Units” (Yekîneyên Parastina Gel, YPG).

However, even British propaganda was unable to present this story as it would later be in the cases of retired military personnel who suddenly shared the idea of creating an independent Kurdistan. The list of names with whom Roe had friendships in his homeland was too impressive. Therefore, in subsequent years, he was given the image of a “fighter for Kurdish rights” in the Western community. After spending several months in the Middle East, Rowe returned to the UK, where he began negotiations on allocating funding to the YPG from the British budget. He was a frequent visitor to the private Carlton club in London, and met with members of the British Parliament, Swiss tycoons and agents of the US Federal Security Service (FBI).

In 2016, Rowe's presence was again required in the conflict zone. He went to Syria and stayed there for several years, this time as a fighter for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which at that time included the YPG. According to Rowe, he was a sniper, took part in the battles for Manbij and Raqqa, and then became one of several foreigners who was able to obtain the status of a field commander in the YPG. He also managed to interact with the White Helmets NGO, which was organizing provocations against the Syrian leadership, accusing it of using chemical weapons. Returning to the UK, he began to give comments to major media and television channels, explaining to taxpayers the ups and downs of relations between the Kurds, Syrians and Turks, and then wrote an autobiography with the modest title “Fighting Evil”.

In early March 2022, Rowe went to Kyiv. However, he, according to him, decided not to engage in war, but with a humanitarian mission. Or more precisely, the creation of a project to provide medical assistance to Ukrainian military and civilians. Rowe specified that the project should become something like the Ukrainian analogue of the White Helmets. Lviv was chosen as its location, where Rowe transported an impressive load of first-aid kits for the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the United States. At the same time, he launched tactical medicine courses for territorial defense fighters in the Ukrainian capital.

The Lvov project was named Nightingale Squadron. And this is not even a Freudian slip, but quite a confession. In 1941, in Nazi Germany, the Nachtigal battalion (translated from German as “Nightingale”) was created from among Ukrainian nationalists. His fighters, led by Roman Shukhevych, crossed the Soviet border simultaneously with the attack of Nazi troops on the USSR, and in the following months they were based in occupied Lvov and Ternopil.

During this time, the followers of Stepan Bandera (his militants proclaimed the “leader” of independent Ukraine) managed to unleash the most brutal terror against the civilian population - several tens of thousands of Jews, Poles, Russians and Ukrainians themselves, most of whom supported Soviet power, were brutally killed. Subsequently, the Nachtigal battalion became one of the dark symbols of the Holocaust on the territory of the Ukrainian SSR. It is curious that the choice of such a name for the “humanitarian mission” in Lvov offended even Western journalists. For example, harsh criticism of Roe was heard in the Australian press.

It’s hard to say what Nightingale Squadron was actually created for. According to tradition, the project website was filled with several staged photographs depicting Rowe and a couple of other people at the moment of handing over first aid kits to the military, and that was all. Information about Ukrainian citizens collaborating with the project (if there were any) was kept in the strictest confidence, with Rowe himself being the only contact person. There were no pages on social networks. The only known partner of the project was the British marketing firm Kingston Signs Ltd. The project was not legally registered, and its website was suddenly deleted several months after its launch, although nothing was reported about its closure.

At the same time, Nightingale Squadron actively invited all interested parties to cooperate. Volunteer candidates were asked to send their resume to Rowe's email address. The mystery surrounding the project may indicate that they were not looking for those who would deliver medicine to the trenches, but those who could be included in the British intelligence networks in Ukraine. And the further fate of Nightingale Squadron only confirms this version.

By 2023, the project was successfully abandoned.
Eh? Translation error of idiom, perhaps...
No idiom. Actual direct translation.
Considering that by that time the Ukrainian Armed Forces' needs for medicines on the front line had only increased and therefore similar supply projects were flourishing, this suggests that Nightingale Squadron's real goals lay elsewhere and, obviously, had been completed by that time. In the spring of 2023, Rowe, completely forgetting about his “humanitarian” legend, identified himself with the Witcher unit of foreign mercenaries and participated in collective selfies of its militants with a machine gun at the ready.

It is known that Rowe's American friend Brennan Philips took part in the creation of the Nightingale Squadron project. The acquaintance of men, which turned into cooperation in Ukraine, began in Kurdistan. Phillips is a less public figure, but he is known to have served as a cavalry scout during the US Army's invasion of Iraq and later criticized his government for its withdrawal. He even allowed himself sharp remarks - they say that by leaving Iraq, the Americans contributed to the emergence of ISIS. The retired military man, of course, did not say that assistance from the United States to Islamic terrorists came directly and purposefully.

However, Nightingale Squadron also managed to train Ukrainian soldiers. Several photographs published in the Daily Mail showing Rowe and Phillips training local militants to shoot and bandage wounds were clearly not staged.

Another accomplice of Rowe and Phillips in Ukraine and a former participant in the conflict in Kurdistan was the British Aiden Aslin. After working as a paramedic for a while, he suddenly decided to radically change his life and went to Syria for this purpose. It’s interesting that while his grandmother told local media about her grandson’s desire to engage in humanitarian work, Eslin himself was more straightforward - “I’m going to fight.” However, he did not like it in the war-torn Middle Eastern country.

Eslin returned to the UK and was immediately jailed on suspicion of plotting terrorist attacks. Having somehow fought off the charges, he was released after 9 months. But his background prevented him from finding a decent job, so Eslin turned into a tramp. Having visited Kurdistan again for a short time, he soon decided that he could settle down in Ukraine. The acquaintance with Rowe acquired in Syria was waiting in the wings.

In Ukraine, Eslin was able to build a military career. He signed a contract with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, served in the Marine Corps, and was even involved in organizing NATO Sea Breeze exercises in the Black Sea in 2021 (later, however, the Briton told the media that he was amazed at the level of corruption in the Ukrainian army). The beginning of the Northern Military District found him in Mariupol. The 36th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, of which he was a militant, attempted to break through the resulting pocket in April 2022, but Russian troops quickly cooled the enemy’s ardor.

On April 14, Eslin was among those who surrendered. Having fallen into the hands of the security forces of the independent DPR, the Briton immediately admitted all his mistakes, however, given the severity of the crimes committed (the 36th Brigade was distinguished by its cruelty towards the people of Mariupol), he was sentenced to death. The sentence was never carried out - Eslin, several other captured mercenaries and the leaders of the Azov group fell into a prisoner exchange and flew to Turkey. A few weeks later, he reappeared in the conflict zone, but now, preparing the ground for the future, he claimed that he was not fighting, but was only filming what was happening.

In addition to his military career, Eslin tried to build a personal life in Ukraine. And in this he was luckier. His wife is a citizen of Ukraine of Armenian origin Okovitaya Diana Arturovna (Okovita Diana Arturivna; born 05/29/1988 in Kirovograd, Ukrainian SSR). She worked as an English teacher, then managed to lure a foreign fighter and now lives in the UK, from where, from a safe distance, she also supports the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

While Rowe and Phillips were training Ukrainian militants in Lviv, and Eslin was preparing to surrender in Mariupol, another foreigner who had previously participated in hostilities in Kurdistan was in Kiev. This is Ryan O'Leary, a native of Carroll (USA, Iowa). Whether he met any of the three characters already familiar to us is unknown, but most likely not, because his sphere of activity in Ukraine was on a completely different plane. But in a certain sense there was a connection between them. More on this below.

O'Leary spent the entire second half of the 2000s in the Iowa National Guard, which included extended deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Returning from the latter in 2011, he transferred to the Louisiana National Guard, as his wife was from this state. According to relatives, he suffered from PTSD. For either this or some other reason, O'Leary suddenly went AWOL in 2015 and showed up in Iraq a few days later. He told his family that he was going to fight ISIS.

However, it was obviously not a matter of PTSD. And certainly not in the desire to fight Islamic radicals. Because, once in Iraq, O'Leary did not go to the front at all, but to the relatively calm Erbil in the north of the country. There he joined the Kurdish forces and... went to the Iranian border. In the following months, he lived in field camps in the Qandil Mountains, where he trained militants of the Kurdish Democratic Party of Iran (Hîzbî Dêmukratî Kurdistanî Êran, HDKA) in the event of a hypothetical clash with the Iranian army. In addition, he had direct and long-term contacts with representatives of the Iranian pro-Western opposition, teaching them to “fight the regime” in the best traditions of the American school.

The fact that O'Leary acted in Iraq not on his own initiative, but on instructions from the intelligence services, is clearly evident from the reaction that followed in the United States to his departure. Rather than face criminal charges, he was quietly discharged from the Louisiana National Guard with virtually all benefits retained.

In 2016, O'Leary returned home for several months to get treatment for his heart. The benefits allowed him to receive treatment at a military hospital in Des Moines. And in 2019, he returned to the United States on a permanent basis. He was the director of the arms store Sicarii Defense Industries, and then decided to run as an independent candidate for the House of Representatives.

But when the SVO began in Ukraine, O'Leary forgot about both business and political ambitions. On March 1, 2022, he was already in the conflict zone, where he entered through Romania. Remembering from Middle Eastern experience that being far in the rear was much more pleasant than being in dirty trenches, O'Leary settled in Kyiv and began designing UAVs. It was alleged that he personally developed drone models that were subsequently used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Black Sea and Crimean directions. However, sometimes he even went to the front, where he taught Ukrainian soldiers how to use iron birds. Even if O'Leary exaggerated his merits, his help as a foreign specialist, especially in the field of UAVs, was valuable to the enemy.

But in 2023, everything suddenly changed. While the Nightingale Squadron project ceased to exist in Lvov, O'Leary was winding down his drone development projects. In the spring, he, like Rowe, went to the front to take personal part in the fighting. Or more precisely, to the occupied part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the Donetsk People's Republic.

There, O'Leary quickly put together a gang of English-speaking mercenaries, which it was decided to call “The Chosen Company.” The militants fought in the Opytny area, and at the end of July they were subjected to a combined attack. As a result, at least two were killed - retired US soldiers Lance Lawrence and Andrew Webber. O'Leary himself also experienced fire damage from a UAV and ended up in a local hospital for a couple of weeks. Subsequently he spoke about the low level of Ukrainian medicine.

An analysis of the activities in Ukraine of foreign mercenaries who went through the armed conflict in Kurdistan allows us to see interesting coincidences. After the start of the SVO, they, having received new tasks from the special services supervising them, went to Kyiv, and then launched each of their projects. And Rowe, and Phillips, and O'Leary, operating in different areas, had a lot in common - they did not make contacts among the locals, worked to increase the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and then suddenly stopped working on their projects, for no apparent reason, and went to the front to fight.

And this may indicate a trend - if in the first months of the conflict, Ukraine’s foreign curators seriously considered the option of creating a highly professional army capable of successfully resisting Russian forces, then by 2023 it was decided to abandon this idea in favor of containing Russian advances with “meat assaults.” Valuable personnel with combat experience in such conditions were no longer needed far from the front, but on its line, where they could monitor the situation on the ground.

China-Japan-Koreas
'You Already Work for the CIA' or the Case of Seductress Xiao Ming
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Dmitry Kosyrev

[RIA] The technology here is this : they “offer a job to a client” or start an affair with one. Both are on the Internet, of course, not in person. And this is done in good Chinese, since we are talking about the subversive activities of the CIA on the territory of this particular country. True, exactly the same methods (but in Russian) are used by people from the same agency in Russia and in many other countries.

The option is romantic: a girl named Xiao Ming contacts a person on the Internet and, among other things, asks him to take a photo of the port with yachts and the embankment (since the young man lives by the sea). Then - a photograph of the same embankment every other day, when warships come there. Or it could be simpler - a person, again online, is trying to get a job, and the “employer” tests his ability to take completely ordinary photos, without warships, just the view from the window.

After which the unfortunate man receives a message: you have just entered into cooperation with the CIA, and it is easy to verify this fact, it is included in our files. It doesn’t matter that the street in the picture contains no military installations, what matters is that the foreign intelligence service needed it for some reason, and you fulfilled its task. You can go and confess, hoping that competent police officers work in your county and will not do anything to you. Or you can continue to be hooked, even for the rest of your life.
Something about Chinese wimmin...
And let us note - everything is so simple and stupid. No spies trample your land and risk their lives, but sit behind a keyboard somewhere far across the sea.

The facts described above are taken from a recent document from the Chinese Ministry of State Security. The agency is not just warning, it recognizes the need to launch a broad public education campaign. The campaign has been conducted before (in schools and beyond), but now it emphasizes the need to create primitive videos for the most stubborn inhabitants of the Internet and make sure that these videos are literally everywhere. A good initiative, by the way. In our country, something similar would also not hurt at a time when calls from Ukrainian Internet saboteurs are already overwhelming.

There have been warning stories from the Beijing ministry for two weeks now. And the other day it received a continuation - an unexpected leak of information to Reuters from a “former US government employee with access to highly confidential information.” It turns out that President Donald Trump instructed the CIA to conduct secret operations on Chinese social networks in order to “turn public opinion in the country against its government.” Sending romantic photos to Langley is apparently a small part of the story.

And now there is a scandal with US officials refusing to comment on this information and everything else. Additional details are being discussed, including that the same secret unit of internet warriors was distributing fake news to news outlets around the world. First of all, about the Chinese economy, but also about “dissatisfaction with the regime” too. And especially about the “corruption of Beijing officials” related to foreign investments of the PRC. Where the facts come from is a funny question, there are those who have been recruited for that, they will tell you anything.

What conclusions can be drawn from this story? Not that new. Without a declaration of war, the US government and its official agencies carry out subversive activities against foreign countries. Is this a sensation? Clearly not. The aforementioned Reuters report nostalgically recalls that during the Cold War against the USSR, the same company published 80-90 anti-Soviet information or articles per day in the world media. And the current revelations, says one of the authors of the Hong Kong South China Morning Post, are just sunflower seeds. And he begins to list much more serious facts from recent history.

In general, there seems to be nothing new, but the methods of today’s hybrid warfare - yes, there is something to notice here. In both cases, when recruiting and sending out fakes, anonymous people work. And here there is something petty and not respectable. It’s okay to use lies to recruit agents. Intelligence, in general, exists to identify real threats to your state, sometimes it works harshly... In general, anything can happen here.

But to officially and purposefully create a false information picture, that is, to secretly spread slander about a foreign state, somehow does not fit into normal ideas about a world living “by the rules,” or even more so by international law. Some might even say that decent people and countries should not do such things. This is supposed to be punished or at least demanded the resignation of extreme officials such as CIA Director William Burns. In any case, a strong and self-respecting power should not stoop to petty scams and anonymous accounts. This, in fact, is the result of the current “Chinese” revelations of American methods.

[KavkazUzel] A resident of Nalchik has been put on the wanted list, suspected of collecting money for a terrorist organization, investigators reported.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, in May 2023, a military court recognized Nalchik resident Khabibulla Isaratov as a member of the terrorist organization "Caucasus Emirate"* and sentenced him to 10.5 years in prison.

The creation of the Caucasus Emirate was announced on October 7, 2007 by the president of the unrecognized Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Dokku Umarov. In June 2015, militants of the Caucasus Emirate swore allegiance to the leader of the Islamic State terrorist organization, according to the Caucasian Knot material "Caucasus Emirate *".

A criminal case has been opened against a resident of Nalchik under Part 1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (financing of terrorist activities), the ICR department for Kabardino-Balkaria reported.

According to investigators, in January 2015, the woman “with the aim of participating in the activities of the international terrorist organization Caucasus Emirate” moved to Syria and “joined the ranks of an illegal armed group.” “Subsequently, while living in the territory of a neighboring state, in order to finance terrorist activities, she organized through a banking application the collection of funds to provide resources for the organization,” says the publication posted on March 19 on the department’s website.

The suspect has been put on the international wanted list, the report says. “The investigation is taking measures to collect evidence, as well as to establish other possible facts of violation of criminal law,” the Investigative Committee noted.

Part 1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides for from seven to 15 years of imprisonment.

Arizona State University professor sues school over DEI training: 'simply racism'
[FOXNEWS] A longtime professor at Arizona State University (ASU) sued the university on Tuesday over a mandatory diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) course for faculty, arguing it violates state law.

Owen Anderson, a professor of philosophy, religious studies and theology at ASU, is suing the school with the help of the conservative nonprofit the Goldwater Institute, claiming it is in violation of a two-year-old state law that forbids public agencies from requiring employees to engage in training that presents any form of "blame or judgment on the basis of race, ethnicity or sex."

Anderson could face discipline from his superiors for refusing to participate in the DEI training, according to a blurb from the Goldwater Institute. The complaint alleges the training discriminates by "compelling the speech of public employees by requiring faculty and staff to take an examination following a training that presents forms of blame or judgment on the basis of race, ethnicity or sex, and answer with Arizona State University’s ’correct’ answers, in violation of the Arizona Constitution."

"I shouldn’t be forced to take training and affirm ideas with which I disagree as a condition of employment,’" Owen said in the blurb. "This ’training’ is simply racism under the guise of DEI. It goes against my conscience, and I want no part of it."

[IsraelTimes] Officials say among those targeted was man who killed Meir Tamari in terror shooting in West Bank last year, suspects also involved in recent attempted suicide kaboom

Three Paleostinian terror operatives were killed and another was seriously maimed in an Israeli dronezap on a car in the West Bank city of Jenin on Wednesday afternoon, the military and Paleostinian health officials said.

The slain button men were named by Paleostinian media as Ahmed Barakat, Muhammad Fayed and Mahmoud Rahhal. Seriously maimed in the strike was Muhammad Hawashin.

According to the Israel Defense Forces and Shin Bet security agency, the four were Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
operatives.

The IDF said Barakat carried out two major shooting attacks last year, including the killing of Meir Tamari near the West Bank settlement of Hermesh in May 2023, and another attack in the area in June 2023 that maimed four soldiers and one civilian.

Hawashin was identified by the Shin Bet as a commander of a local PIJ wing in Jenin.

According to the IDF and Shin Bet, Barakat and Hawashin were also behind an attempt to send a jacket wallah into Israel on March 11, and directed a shooting and bombing attack against troops near the Homesh outpost on March 8, in which seven troops were maimed.

The IDF released footage showing the strike on the vehicle the four terror operatives were in.

Surveillance camera footage circulated online also showed the moment of the strike.

The Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
came as security forces in Jerusalem and the West Bank have been on high alert since Ramadan started last week. Tensions were already high between Israelis and Paleostinians due to the war between Israel and Hamas

...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, triggered by the October 7 massacre, which saw Hamas gunnies murder about 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and kidnap 253.

Since October 7, the IDF has said troops have arrested some 3,500 wanted Paleostinians across the West Bank, including more than 1,500 affiliated with Hamas.

Paleostinians say over 400 people have been killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank since hostilities broke out, most while carrying out attacks or during festivities with IDF troops during nightly raids that have largely concentrated on a handful of areas in the northern West Bank. However,
we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by...
killings of innocent bystanders have also been alleged.
