Israel-Palestine-Jordan
120,000 Muslims worship at Al-Aqsa as 2nd Friday Ramadan prayers pass peacefully
[IsraelTimes] Police deploy thousands of officers in Jerusalem’s Old City and around Temple Mount, say no ’unusual disturbances,’ despite seeing attempts to incite violence on social

Some 120,000 people attended the second Friday prayers of Ramadan at the al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount, which ended peacefully and without any disturbances, police and religious authorities said.

The Islamic Waqf, which administers the mosque compound, estimated that around 120,000 people took part in the prayers, up from an estimated 80,000 last week.

Police in a statement said that they had deployed thousands of officers in Jerusalem’s Old City and around the Temple Mount to ensure that the event passed peacefully. Police did not give a specific number, saying only that "tens of thousands took part."

Police said there were "no unusual disturbances," however, they noted that there had been attempts to "spread fake news and false stories on Arabic social media" in an attempt to incite violence.

The Haaretz daily reported that around 10,000 of the worshippers traveled from the West Bank to attend the prayers.

This marked the second successive Friday prayers to pass without incident in the Moslem holy month despite fears of disturbances after the Hamas
...the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
terror group had called on Paleostinian worshipers to barricade themselves inside the al-Aqsa Mosque.

In a statement last week, Hamas had called on followers to "participate urgently in defending al-Aqsa Mosque against the aggression that lurks in these critical times."

In past years during Ramadan, Paleostinians have at times barricaded themselves inside the al-Aqsa Mosque, which is situated on the Temple Mount, some with explosives and rocks. Police operations to clear them out have often resulted in violence.

This year’s Ramadan comes amid tinderbox tensions stemming from the ongoing war against Hamas in Gazoo

The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. , triggered by the group’s shock October 7 attack, when thousands of Lions of Islam rampaged through southern Israel, killing some 1,200 people and taking 253 hostages.

Terror groups have called on Paleostinians to come to the al-Aqsa Mosque to confront Israel over the war in Gaza.

Police officers scuffled with some attendees at the Temple Mount entrance on the first night of Ramadan, but the holy site has been relatively peaceful since.

The Grand Turk
‘Be quiet:’ Israel summons Turkish envoy after Erdogan threatens Netanyahu
[IsraelTimes] Deputy ambassador called in for a ’serious reprimand’ as Ottoman Turkish president vows to send Netanyahu ’to Allah’

Foreign Minister Israel Katz on Friday ordered the Foreign Ministry to summon The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
’s envoy to Israel for a "serious reprimand" after Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
vowed to "send [Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu] to Allah."

"I instructed officials to summon the Ottoman Turkish deputy ambassador to Israel for a serious reprimand, following Erdogan’s serious attack on Prime Minister Netanyahu and his threats to send PM Netanyahu to Allah and to convey a clear message to Erdogan," Katz posted on X.

"You who support the burning of babies, murderers, rapists and the mutilation of corpses by Hamas
...the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
criminals, [are] the last one who can speak about God. There is no God who will listen to those who support the atrocities and crimes against humanity committed by your barbaric Hamas friends," Katz said. "Be quiet and shame on you!"

The deputy ambassador was summoned as Turkey withdrew its ambassador at the start of the war.

In a speech on Thursday at an election rally Erdogan vowed to "send [Netanyahu] to Allah to take care of him, make him miserable and curse him."

Erdogan has increasingly stepped up his rhetoric in the wake of October 7, attacking Israel and Netanyahu and giving his full support to Hamas, who he has called "freedom fighters."

"No one can make us qualify Hamas as a terrorist organization," he said in a speech in Istanbul earlier in the month. "Turkey is a country that speaks openly with Hamas leaders and firmly backs them."

He also claimed that "Netanyahu and his administration, with their crimes against humanity in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. , are writing their names next to Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin, like today’s Nazis."

Hamas is listed as a terror organization by the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom, the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and other countries.

In October, Erdogan claimed that Hamas was "not a terrorist organization" but "a group of mujahideen defending their lands." "Mujahideen" is an Arabic term for those engaged in jihad, or holy war.

The Ottoman Turkish president has been one of the most virulent critics of Israel since the start of the war in Gaza, which began on October 7 after thousands of Hamas-led forces of Evil burst into Israel by air, land and sea, killing some 1,200 people and kidnapping another 253, mostly civilians.

Erdogan has not officially condemned Hamas’s slaughter of Israeli civilians.

His government also maintains strong ties with Hamas, and Turkey has hosted some of its leaders. While the country insisted that it only hosted the group’s political wing, in 2020, Israel provided Ottoman Turkish intelligence with evidence that members of Hamas’s military wing operate in the office, under the supervision of Beirut-based Saleh al-Arouri, who was killed in an alleged Israeli strike in Leb

in January.

In January, Erdogan’s foreign minister met the terror group’s Qatar

President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
.

Erdogan had been in the midst of an effort to warm ties with Israel in the months before the war, but has since sharply backtracked and returned to the same vitriolic attacks that characterized many of his previous years in power.

He and Netanyahu repeatedly aimed brickbats at each other in the years since a 2010 Israeli commando raid on the Gaza-bound Mavi Marmara ship, part of a blockade-busting flotilla, that left dead 10 Ottoman Turkish activists who attacked IDF soldiers aboard the ship. In July 2014, Erdogan accused the Jewish state of "keeping Hitler’s spirit alive" during a war with Gaza.

Ties later saw a moderate improvement, but both countries withdrew their ambassadors in 2018 amid violence in Gaza and the Trump administration’s relocation of its embassy to Jerusalem.

Facing hardening diplomatic isolation and economic woes, Erdogan began to publicly display an openness toward rapprochement in December 2020.

In August 2022, Israel and Turkey announced a full renewal of diplomatic ties.

In late September 2023, Erdogan met with Netanyahu in New York for their first known sit-down and the two enthusiastically discussed avenues of cooperation. President Isaac Herzog was hosted by Erdogan last March in Ankara — the first high-level Israeli visit since 2008 — and Foreign Minister Eli Cohen met the Ottoman Turkish leader in February 2023. Then-prime minister Yair Lapid met with Erdogan in New York during last year’s General Assembly.

Israel and Turkey again withdrew their ambassadors with the outbreak of the war, in Israel’s case as a safety measure.

said an investigative judge has issued arrest warrants for two people on suspicion of giving information to Israel including the digital mapping of a Beirut southern suburb street where a top official with the Paleostinian Hamas
...a regional Iranian catspaw,...
group was killed in January.

The officials said Thursday that Fadi Sawwan, the investigative judge at the military tribunal, issued the arrest warrants earlier this week for the two Lebanese citizens weeks after they were detained while using sophisticated digital mapping equipment.

The Israeli military did not immediately return requests for comment.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations, said the two men had earlier mapped streets in different parts of Lebanon including Beirut’s southern suburbs that are home to the leadership of the bad boy Hezbollah group. They said the men said they thought they were sending the information to a U.S.-based company that does virtual tourism business.

The two officials said among the streets that they mapped was the one where the deputy leader of Hamas, Saleh Arouri, was killed along with six other hard boyz in a January strike that hit an apartment. They said the street was mapped nearly two weeks before Arouri was killed.

The officials said the two are in jug and were charged with spying for a foreign country and obtaining information that should remain secret because of national security. The officials said the two could get a sentence of up to life in prison.

FPM rejects 'instant' disarming of Hezbollah
[An Nahar] The Bkirki Christian meeting on Thursday witnessed harmony among the conferees over pluralism, freedom, democracy and the importance of partnership between Moslems and Christians in public sector jobs, a media report said.

The parties, however, showed differences when the issue of "illusory sovereignty and arms" was discussed, the Nidaa al-Watan newspaper reported on Friday.

"Some voiced reservations when the defense strategy idea was discussed, arguing that the army, definitely, should be in charge of protecting illusory sovereignty," the daily added.

It also did not voice reservations over the exclusivity of arms in the hands of the Lebanese Army, but it rejected demanding an instant handover of Hezbollah’s arms, arguing that this process should happen gradually and according to a specific program," Nidaa al-Watan said.

Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi is meanwhile expected to call for another meeting, likely after Easter, to resume the discussions and approve a unified paper that "addresses all Christian and national concerns," the newspaper added.

Arabia
UAE to release Lebanese detainees before Eid
[An Nahar] The head of Hezbollah’s Coordination and Liaison Committee, Wafiq Safa, returned Thursday to Beirut from the UAE after he held talks there related to the repatriation of a number of Lebanese detainees.

"Safa’s return alone to Beirut does not mean that he has failed in his mission, seeing as the issue is related to official procedures that must be carried out in order to release the prisoners," the Nidaa al-Watan newspaper reported on Friday.

"The UAE is expected to issue a governmental decree on Ramadan 24 (in two weeks from now) that will grant these Lebanese a general amnesty that will be implemented within two days so that these released detainees can be in Beirut during Eid al-Fitr," the daily added.

The Lebanese nationals were tossed into the calaboose over alleged links to Hezbollah.

The United Arab Emirates, like other Arab gulf countries, considers Hezbollah a "terrorist" organization and over the years has detained and deported dozens of Lebanese citizens over alleged links to the group.

Lebanese media outlets reported that Safa's visit followed mediation by Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad

with officials in the UAE. After years of backing the Syrian opposition, the UAE restored relations with Damascus in 2018 and earlier this year the first ambassador for the emirates took office in Damascus.

How Many Russian Soldiers Have Really Died in Ukraine-YouTube breakdown
From the transcript:
But a study published in the peer-reviewed scientific journal PNAS suggested that there’s
1:50
a method to how each country displays its losses.
1:53
On average, Ukraine reports nearly double the number of actual Russian deaths, but doesn't
1:58
have a bias towards reporting their own deaths.
2:00
This is possibly in an attempt to gather support from the countries sympathetic to Ukraine’s
2:05
cause, such as members of the EU and NATO that are supplying Ukraine with military aid.
2:10
On the other hand, Russia severely underreports deaths of their own soldiers, at a rate of
2:15
roughly 0.3 per 1 actual death.
2:18
Any figure from Russia, therefore, should be nearly tripled to get a value that’s
2:22
close to correct.
2:23
Additionally, the Russian media reports Ukrainian deaths at a ratio of a staggering 4.3 to 1,
2:29
meaning that Russians are led to believe that more than four times as many Ukrainians have
2:33
died than they have in reality.

California Democrats Try to Preserve Disastrous Proposition 47
[Breitbart] California Democrats are trying to preserve Proposition 47, the 2014 ballot measure that eased penalties for theft and which is blamed today by many critics for a crime wave targeting retail stores in the state’s major cities.

Proposition 47 was sold to the public as “criminal justice reform,” but it did little to improve the state’s programs to rehabilitate criminals. Instead, it just changed some felonies to misdemeanors, including thefts under $950.

That, many Californians believe, created a strong incentive for criminal to commit petty theft, especially at retail stores, knowing that prosecutors would be unlikely to pursue charges or that any penalties would be minimal.

Earlier this year, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) introduced a set of reforms aimed at reducing property crimes, but left Proposition 47 intact. Other legislators proposed reforms to Proposition 47, or suggested it simply be repealed.

However, as the Associated Press reports, most (not all) California Democrats — at Newsom’s direction — are defending Proposition 47, and attempting to focus their legislative efforts on other policy changes:

Following Newsom’s directions, Democratic leaders in both chambers at the Capitol also have shut down calls to repeal the measure [Proposition 47]. Last month, the state’s new Senate President Pro Tempore Mike McGuire, with bipartisan support, introduced a package of legislation that would target auto thefts and large-scale resell schemes and expand diversion programs such as drug courts and treatment services. Online marketplaces also would be required to crack down on users reselling stolen goods on their platforms under the proposal.

But some Democratic lawmakers said those efforts won’t be enough to make a difference. Assemblymember James Ramos, who authored bipartisan legislation to increase penalties for repeat shoplifters, said many lawmakers want to see “the pendulum swing back to the middle.” The bill would require voters’ approval.

“Prop. 47 needs to have some type of resetting,” Ramos said. “We have the opportunity now to start that dialogue.”

Earlier this year, Newsom expressed shock when a clerk at a Target store blamed him for the shoplifting problem.

#6  At one time at the beginning of this century, I was a staff participant in drafting criminal justice policy for the State of California. Central to the political context of the discussions was the factor of "disproportionate minority representation" in various statistics dealing with apprehensions, convictions incarceration and investigations.
In simplistic terms, it was argued that either minorities committed a disproportionate level of crime, or that the system was inherently biased.
The facts were incontrovertible, but one of the two answers was unacceptable. From this unwillingness to face reality everything has flowed.

Obviously, there are many more factors about poverty, enforcement concentration, family structure, education, that are involved. But the cowardice in refusing to assign significant blame to the predilection of a large percentage of male, minority youth to criminal behavior rests with the political left across the spectrum of governance in America!

The subsequent pandering and outright manipulation for political gain by Obama and Biden has accelerated, not moderated, this cancerous behavior!

Experts Tell Congress: China Building ‘World's Largest DNA Database' Usable to Harvest Organs
[Breitbart] Journalists, academics, and other experts told Congress during a hearing Wednesday that evidence indicates China is killing thousands of people to sell their organs and building the “world’s largest DNA database” that can be used to find a living “perfect match” for an organ buyer, arrest them for dubious reasons, and kill them to sell their organs.

Experts have been documenting evidence for decades that points to China making prodigious profits from killing political prisoners, most prominently Falun Gong practitioners and Turkic Muslims imprisoned in East Turkistan’s concentration camps. That evidence ranges from leaked government documents to eyewitness testimonies and unexplained inconsistencies in China’s official organ transplant data. The evidence has led to little condemnation for the Communist Party, however, which simultaneously denies committing the human rights atrocity and boasts of record-setting numbers of organ transplants that stretch the limits of what is mathematically possible in a system using only voluntary organ donors. Top surgeons with ties to the Communist Party are still welcome members of the global medical elite. Research by Chinese scientists suspected of being tied to the forced organ harvesting trade is still published in international journals.

On Wednesday, the Congressional-Executive Commission on China (CECC) held a hearing to address China’s forced organ harvesting, seeking updates on the harrowing evidence presented by researchers in past hearings on the subject. Among those present were researchers Ethan Gutmann and Matthew Robertson, responsible for some of the most thorough research exposing the abuses, and MIT professor Maya Mitalipova, who warned that China’s voracious appetite for DNA sequencing data could grant it a database of civilians nationwide that it could scan whenever it needed to find an unwilling organ donor to kill.

“The Chinese Government is building the world’s largest DNA database by acquiring DNA sequencing data from companies within China and across the globe including the USA,” Mitalipova explained in her written testimony to Congress.

“Numerous biotechnology companies are assisting the Chinese police in building this database and may find themselves complicit in these violations,” Mitalipova elaborated. “They include multinational companies such as US-based Thermo Fisher Scientific and major Chinese companies like BGI (Beijing Genome Institute) … BGI in particular is dangerous because it collects genetic data of Americans and uses it for research with the Chinese military.”

Reuters revealed in 2021 that BGI launched an initiative to seek out partnerships with American biotech companies – after sharing DNA data with the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) coming from non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), which doctors use to predict the viability of children in the womb.

Florida man calls American Airlines passengers 'blue-eyed white devils,' threatens to 'take this plane down'
[FoxNews] Shail Patel, 29, was arrested on two counts of battery and one count of disorderly intoxication.
Moslem, Hindu/other, illegal alien? In other words: Page1: WoT or Page 3: Non-WoT and Lurid Crimes? How long has Mr. Patel been a Florida Man?
A Florida man on an American Airlines flight was put in a headlock, removed from the aircraft and arrested after he called fellow passengers "blue-eyed white devils" and threatened to "take this plane down with all you motherf---ers on it."

Shail Patel, 29, was drunk when he boarded the flight from Tampa to Philadelphia on Tuesday and began "antagonizing passengers, calling flight attendants names, threatening passengers and aggressively moving through the aircraft," court documents show, according to WFLA.

The report stated he was acting hostile after he boarded and "began acting erratically, yelling and cursing at the passengers."

Patel called passengers "blue-eyed white devils" and threatened to "take this plane down with all you motherf------ on it," according to court documents. He is also accused of slapping a passenger on the hand and face and spitting on them.

Video footage of the incident showed Patel yelling an antisemitic slur at a flight attendant before he was put in a headlock by a fellow passenger and removed from the aircraft.

"I'm trying to get to my home country and you people made it harder for me to get to my home country," he was heard yelling at one point in the video.

A flight attendant used the aircraft's public address system to ask if any off-duty police officers were on board who could help restrain Patel. Police said six off-duty law enforcement officers stepped in and took him off the plane.

"Prior to departure of American Airlines flight 2506 with service from Tampa (TPA) to Philadelphia (PHL), law enforcement was requested to the aircraft due to a disturbance in the cabin involving a disruptive customer," American Airlines said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "We thank our team for their professionalism and apologize to our customers for the inconvenience."

The flight had a 30-minute delay because of the incident.

Patel was arrested on two counts of battery and one count of disorderly intoxication. He is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail on a $2,150 bond.

Update at 12:15 p.m. ET: The NY Post has video. He sounds plain vanilla, educated American to me.
Click Orlando adds that he’s a self-employed IT worker living in Tampa.
URMI gets factual: Mr. Patel is 6’0” and 230 lb, and:
Shail Patel was born on 7 April 1994 in Florida, United States, of Indian heritage. His parents moved to the United States in the early 1980s and settled in Tampa, where Shell was raised.

Records show Patel currently lives in Tampa with his family. However, there is limited information about his family background. Despite efforts, his social media profiles could not be found on platforms like Facebook or Instagram.
Moved to Page 3 at 12:25 p.m. ET.
And finally, WTSP:
Detectives spoke with Patel's father who told them his son was taking medication and drinking at the bar before the flight. He "stated Patel thought he overheard a passenger make racial remarks which caused him to become upset and yell," the arrest report says.

Biden's intel community circulates DEI newsletter highlighting cross-dressing, inclusive language
[FoxNews] 'I am an intelligence officer, and I am a man who likes to wear women’s clothes sometimes'
That’s nice. What you do in your off time is your business, so long as you don’t break any laws or scare the children. Just understand that it is exceedingly unprofessional to discuss private activities at work — or with anyone uninterested in joining in.
The executive arm of the U.S. intelligence community, which includes the CIA and several top military spy agencies, recently circulated a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) newsletter that features a secret agent who reveals he is a cross-dresser.
I suppose an intelligence community would need to know if any of its people engaged in blackmailable activities, or might be otherwise persuaded to associate with questionable persons, like the two lads showing off before their little internet friends, but boasting about it is unseemly.
According to a Fox News Digital review of the document, the internal newsletter, The Dive, highlighted several left-wing initiatives and was circulated throughout the U.S. spy apparatus by the Intelligence Community Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Office.

It is housed in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), a Cabinet-level position that oversees the intelligence community. The document's theme is "the importance of words," focusing on ways spy agencies can be more inclusive.

BYD: Here Comes the EV Bloodbath Trump Warned Us About
[PJ] Donald Trump was right. It's going to be a bloodbath when China's BYD starts selling its "fun-to-drive" Seagull EV in this country at a price not even Tesla can match.

The five-door hatchback doesn't have the best range or fanciest amenities. But what it does have is a top price under $14,000, good safety features, aggressive looks, and plenty of financial backing from Beijing. BYD's specialties are batteries and high-tech manufacturing, and they're using both to aggressively expand overseas production and deliveries.

An improved version for South American markets, called the Dolphin Mini, is already on sale, starting at $21,990.

"What we’ve seen over time is automotive manufacturers eventually enter all the markets that matter... Ultimately the Chinese will come to the U.S.," Marin Gjaja—chief operating officer for Ford's EV unit — told CNBC in an interview last week.

The Alliance for American Manufacturing said in February, "The introduction of cheap Chinese autos—which are so inexpensive because they are backed with the power and funding of the Chinese government—to the American market could end up being an extinction-level event for the U.S. auto sector."

Some might call it a bloodbath.

According to auto service shops in China, they've cheapened their sub-frames, steering gears and suspensions on the lower-mid priced models over the last few years to cut costs. Plus, their onboard charging systems for all models seem to fail (or even induce battery fires) quite often.

And I wonder if the Chinesium 'metal' would even survive a winter in the 'Salt Belt'.

I have no problems with an EV, but it makes no sense for anything other than a car for local use - call it a 100-125 mile range on a charge. If you can get that with home charge, there will be a bloodbath at the Big 2.5 and Tesla.

VDH - California, the Great Destroyer
[American Greatness] n 1996, the California legislature created the high speed rail authority.

In 2008, voters passed an initial nearly $10 billion bond to build an envisioned 800 mile, $33 billion project eventually to link Sacramento with San Diego.

Fifteen years later, a scaled-down plan from Bakersfield to Merced remains not even half finished. Yet the envisioned costs will exceed that of the original estimate for the entire project.

The rail authority now estimates that just the modest 178 mile route—only about a fifth of the authorized distance—will not be completed at least until 2030. Past high speed estimates of both time and cost targets have been widely wrong and perhaps deliberately misleading.

Total costs for the entire project are now estimated at nearly $130 billion. Many expect that figure to double in the next quarter-century. Planners also concede there will likely not be much high speed rider demand from San Joaquin Valley residents willing to pay $86 to travel at a supposed 200 mph from Bakersfield to Merced.

Nine years ago voters amid drought and water shortages also passed a state water bond, authorizing $7.5 billion in new water projects and initiatives.

Some $2.7 billion was targeted for new dams and reservoirs. The current water storage system had not been enlarged since the early 1980s, when the state population was 15 million fewer residents.

So far not a single dam or new reservoir has been built. And Californians expect more water rationing statewide anytime the state experiences a modest drought.

In 2017, a $15 billion bond authorized a complete remodeling of Los Angeles International Airport—recognized as one of the more congested, disorganized, and unpleasant airports in America.

Now the cost to complete the project has grown to an estimated $30 billion, with a proposed finish date of 2028—11 years after the project was authorized.

And the ongoing LAX remake is considered one of California’s more successful public construction projects.

Gallagher to depart Congress in April, shrinking GOP House majority
[Blaze] Republican Rep. Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin, who announced last month that he would not seek re-election, has now announced that he plans to leave office next month.

His departure will shrink the GOP's House majority to 217-213, which means that when all lawmakers participate in a vote, if even two Republicans join with Democrats there would be a 215-215 tie.

"After conversations with my family, I have made the decision to resign my position as a member of the House of Representatives for Wisconsin's Eighth Congressional District effective April 19, 2024," Gallagher said in a statement.

"I've worked closely with House Republican leadership on this timeline and look forward to seeing Speaker Johnson appoint a new chair to carry out the important mission of the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party," he continued. "My office will continue to operate and provide constituent services to the Eighth District for the remainder of the term. Four terms serving Northeast Wisconsin in Congress has been the honor of a lifetime and strengthened my conviction that America is the greatest country in the history of the world."

Trump has until Monday to pay it off, or James said she will start seizing his properties.

Biden DHS pressed for answers on 386,000 immigrants flown directly into US cities
[Washington Examiner] House Republicans are pressing the Biden administration to provide information about a government phone app that allowed immigrants outside the United States to apply for permission to fly into the U.S. to be screened for admission.

In a letter sent to President Joe Biden and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Friday, 18 GOP lawmakers demanded information on the "advanced travel authorizations" program that has allowed immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter the U.S.

"As federal representatives and citizens of this great nation, we hold a fundamental duty to ensure that the Executive Branch is not breaking the very laws it is charged to enforce. This is especially true when it comes to protecting Americans," the letter, led by Rep. Randy Weber (R-TX), states. "No American should die because you refused to do your duty."

[Washington Examiner] A four-star Army general was suspended on Friday after the Department of Defense learned he allegedly pressured an assessment panel to sign off on an officer deemed "unfit for command."
"Suspended." WTF does "Suspended" mean ?
Gen. Charles Hamilton, who allegedly lobbied on behalf of a female lieutenant colonel, was also recommended for an investigation by the Defense Department’s inspector general. Lt. Gen. Chris Mohan, deputy commander of the Army Materiel Command, which Hamilton oversaw, will be the interim commander.
"Suspended?" Where is that found in the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) ?
"This week, Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth became aware of credible allegations Gen. Charles Hamilton, commanding general of Army Materiel Command, interfered in the Army’s Command Assessment Program process last fall," Col. Randee Farrell, a spokeswoman for Wormuth, told Military.com in a statement.

Farrell added that the suspension was pending the outcome of the Pentagon’s investigation and any further investigations that were ordered.

Hamilton allegedly contacted members of the panel on the woman’s behalf to try and pressure them to sign off on promoting her to a battalion commander position. But despite his endeavors, the panel concluded she was unfit because of her "ineffective and counterproductive leadership."

The female officer was also rejected by a different assessment panel, but she was later placed on a selection list for command. However, she has since been removed as a candidate and will need to recompete next year.

In the assessment, the process is completely blind, where five generals are pulled at random to interview an unnamed candidate hidden behind a curtain. Officers claim this is to avoid any bias. The assessment also consists of a physical fitness test, examinations of communication skills, and psychological evaluations.

Hamilton then reportedly asked for a second panel, claiming the first psychologist was "too negative." It was approved because of "technical issues" and rescheduled for two days later, on Nov. 1, 2023. The approval of the second panel was unprecedented because Army rules state that a candidate must wait another year to be retested.

#4  /\ Not uncommon. As I recall, if you had been commissioned for at least ten years, you could revert to previous enlisted rank, continue to keep a reserve commission (do mandatory schools by mail to stay up-to-date), and retire at 20 year service at your commissioned rank.

The term was "hip pocket orders." Took a bit of pride swallowing.

#5  ..that would have been a post Vietnam RIF, to keep the EM rank, he had to have been a OCS grad.

iirc prior to the 80s, the Army operated on the expandable force concept. You had the regular army supplemented by the reserve. The reserves were technically fillers dependent upon mobilization or draft. There were regular commissions, the West Point class, along with selected individuals from other commissioning source. All others received a reserve commission. Both received a rank in the Army of the United States which was the working grade for promotions, pay, and job assignments. In theory if the service was reduced to the core regular force, the reserves would be released and the remaining regulars would revert to their assigned regular army rank which was never as high as the AUS rank.

Sometime in the 80s in response to legal proceedings brought by RIF'd reserve officers, the structure was revamped with all new commission being reserve and upon promotion to O4 rank being made regular army commissions.

#8  "Suspended?" Where is that found in the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) ?

It ain't, but it's part of the process. When a FO screws up so badly that even the US Army (or USN, or USMC, or My Beloved Service) has to do something, the first thing they'll do is 'temporarily' relieve him of his duties - 'suspended' to the civilians writing the article.

Ideally, the next step is that said FO gets the hint and submits for immediate retirement. In most cases - anything short of murder or sexual assault/harassment - they'll be allowed to do it, knowing full well that the alternative is looking at losing all the goodies. On the other hand, recently there have been a couple instances lately where former officers and enlisted got brought back for court-martial. (See also David Petraeus.)

And FWIW, I have seen a couple of articles on this subject that stated that the anonymous 05 is Mrs Amish Parachute Rigger General Officer.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - "This is really a battle between good and evil," evangelical TV preacher Hank Kunneman says of the slew of criminal charges facing Donald Trump. "There's something on President Trump that the enemy fears: It's called the anointing."

Documentary on General Mike Flynn to Expose Deep-State Plot to Crush Trump
[Breitbart] A documentary on Gen. Mike Flynn, former President Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor, will pop in late April featuring in-depth interviews with Flynn, Tucker Carlson, and more.

The documentary, titled Flynn: Deliver the Truth Whatever the Cost, will come out on various platforms in late April.

The documentary’s trailer, obtained exclusively by Breitbart News ahead of its public release, includes a snippet of a Flynn interview for the film and viewers can hear Carlson — the former Fox News host who now runs the Tucker Carlson Network where he produces major shows and conducts massive interviews — making it clear that when Trump hired Flynn he was the “most dangerous” person to the deep state. That, Carlson says in the trailer, is because Flynn “knew exactly how the system worked, he knew exactly what the intel world had been up to, and he understood its funding.”
Trailer can be seen at the link.

Russian scientists have patented a drug for the treatment of Parkinson's disease
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Scientists from St. Petersburg have patented a drug for the treatment of Parkinson's disease in the early stages. The Izvestia newspaper wrote about this on March 22.

It was developed by specialists from the St. Petersburg Institute of Nuclear Physics named after B. P. Konstantinov (PNPI) of the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" and the First St. Petersburg State Medical University named after I. P. Pavlov. The drug acts on the enzyme glucocerebrosidase, which is encoded by the GBA1 gene.

Mutations in this area increase the risk of developing the disease tenfold. The medicine helps restore enzyme activity.

The developers of the drug relied on the research of foreign scientists who were able to correct the functioning of glucocerebrosidase using a small molecule - a pharmacological chaperone that allows restoring the structure of protein formations.

Specialists from the Kurchatov Institute built a computer model to identify chemical modifications of the chaperone. The researchers synthesized several molecules and tested their effect on enzyme activity in cells from patients with a mutation in the GBA1 gene.

Tests have revealed that the resulting compound fights pathology more effectively than foreign developments that were used as a basis for the experiment.

As reported by IA Regnum, in September 2019, Stanford University School of Medicine announced that the institution’s staff had discovered a “molecular defect” that makes it possible to detect Parkinson’s disease in the early stages, as well as a substance that eliminates this “malfunction.”

In November 2019, the Royal Melbourne University of Technology released information that the institution’s specialists had created a technology for early diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease using written tests that are processed by a special program.

Fifth Column
US Air Force intelligence analyst 'shared classified intelligence on Discord with anti-government Boogaloo group members'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Jason Gray, 28, is accused of sharing a trove of classified documents on Discord

  • He was said to be a proponent of the anti-government 'Boogaloo' movement

  • Cops placed found child pornography on his devices, and was not prosecuted over the classified documents leak in exchange for pleading guilty to those crimes

According to an FBI affidavit unsealed this week, analyst Jason Gray, 28, shared information that he 'likely obtained' through his access to the National Security Agency (NSA) while stationed at a base in Alaska. The affidavit accompanied a search warrant from November 2022 that allowed investigators to go into his Discord account, which was linked to the Boogaloo movement that works to move the US towards a second civil war.

Gray's alleged treasonous activity came just months before the arrest of fellow Air Force officer Jack Teixeira, 21, who pleaded guilty this month to leaking classified documents on Discord and is set for a 16-year prison sentence.

The loosely organized Boogaloo movement is well known for causing violent uprisings intended to cause societal collapse, notably sparking up around the time of the January 6 riots.

Gray had been assigned to an NSA facility at the Joint Base Elmendorf–Richardson base in Anchorage, Alaska, offering him access to classified documents. He shared the information to more than half a dozen other Boogaloo adherents on Discord, some of whom officials have been unable to identify, according to the affidavit.

While executing the search warrant, investigators also found over 600 pictures and videos on his devices of the sexual abuse of children as young as one, reports the Daily Beast. He is currently awaiting to begin a five-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to the distribution of child pornography. That guilty plea came as part of an agreement with prosecutors not to charge Gray over the classified documents leaking, according to court filings.

His actions come as officials say they are becoming more and more aware of the Boogaloo movement's growth in recent years.

'Dozens of Americans have been arrested in the last few years trying to advance the Boogaloo ideology through violence,' Seamus Hughes, a senior researcher at the University of Nebraska’s National Counterterrorism Innovation, Technology, and Education Center, told The Daily Beast.

'Adherents long for a second civil war and to sow chaos in America. A military member should be nowhere near that ideology, let alone furthering it by running one of its social media accounts.'

Following the leak, a spokesman for Discord said in a statement to the Washington Post that the company 'cooperated with the law enforcement investigation once notified, including by producing data that was lawfully requested.'

Gray's search warrant in November 2022 came months before the high-profile arrest of fellow-Air Force officer Jack Teixeira, then-21. This month, he leaded guilty to leaking highly classified military documents about Russia's war in Ukraine and other national security secrets on Discord.

Teixeira admitted all six counts relating to willful retention and transmission of national defense information in the most consequential security leak in years - and accepted a 16-year jail term as part of a plea deal Monday. In return, Boston prosecutors agreed not to charge him with further counts under the Espionage Act.

The leak led the Pentagon to tighten controls to safeguard classified information, and the Air Force disciplined 15 personnel as its inspector general found last year that multiple officials intentionally failed to take required action about Teixeira's suspicious behavior.

Ronna McDaniel Quit As Head of RNC During Election Year, Joins MSNBC

(Breitbart) NBC News is hiring former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair Ronna McDaniel to be a contributor at its cable network, with her debut appearance slated for Meet the Press on Sunday, March 24.

The New York Times reported Friday that the network is bringing McDaniel aboard and that she is also anticipated to make appearances on far-left MSNBC:

"It couldn’t be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronna’s on the team," Carrie Budoff Brown, who oversees NBC News political coverage, wrote in a memo, adding that Ms. McDaniel would provide "an insider’s perspective on national politics and the future of the Republican Party." Ms. McDaniel will be especially involved in the coverage of the 2024 campaign, including election nights.

UNSC fails to pass US resolution calling for immediate ceasefire in Gaza

The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
as part of a hostage deal after Russia and China, who are permanent members, voted against the measure proposed by the United States.

The resolution called for an "immediate and sustained ceasefire" lasting roughly six weeks that would protect civilians and allow for the delivery of humanitarian assistance.

Russia's ambassador to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, said it was exceedingly politicised and contained an effective green light for Israel to mount a military operation in Rafah.

Russian Central Bank maintains the key rate of 16% per annum for the second time in a row
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] On March 22, the Bank of Russia left the key rate at 16% per annum for the second time in a row. This is stated in the corresponding statement of the regulator.

“The Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia decided to maintain the key rate at 16.00% per annum,” the Central Bank reported.

Since July 2023, the Central Bank, in order to counter inflation, has been raising the key rate - first by 1 percentage point, later, against the backdrop of the falling exchange rate of the ruble - by 3.5 percentage points. In the fall, the Central Bank added three more points, and in December - one more, bringing the figure to 16%. In February 2024, for the first time since June, the rate was kept unchanged.

As Regnum reported, in February the Central Bank reported that the current inflation pressure at that time had decreased, although it remained high, and domestic demand continued to significantly outstrip the possibilities for expanding the production of goods and services, so it is premature to draw conclusions about the sustainability of inflation reduction trends. At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting on supporting investment projects in domestic industry, called the Central Bank rate increase a temporary measure.

Millions of dollars worth of meth unearthed in carrot shipment on the Southern California border
Whoa! This carrot tastes kinda... strange. And all my remaining teeth just turned brown... And I just killed eleven people with an ax.... At least I think that they were people... And I think it was an ax... Why are you standing upside down?
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Millions of dollars worth of methamphetamine was found tucked away among a cargo of carrots by border staff in Southern California.

A staggering 2,900 pounds of the drug were uncovered after the tractor-trailer during a second inspection of the vehicle on Sunday.

Driven by a 44-year-old man with a valid border crossing card, the carrot shipment appeared to be only vegetables at first glance.

However, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) staff at the Otay Mesa Commercial Facility nearby San Diego decided to stop and search the vehicle.

During the second inspection of the carrot haul, officers unearthed hundreds of mysterious orange-colored packages stashed away underneath the carrots and ice.

A total of 574 packages were found buried among the vegetables - and could rack up a street value in the millions according to officials.

After further testing of the suspicious packages, it was confirmed that they contained methamphetamine, according to Fox News.

Otay Mesa Port of Entry port director, Rosa E. Hernandez told Fox News: 'I couldn’t be prouder of the exceptional work by our CBP officers.

'While facilitating lawful trade and travel, our officers steadfastly combat the trafficking of dangerous drugs at our borders.'

The driver was handed to Homeland Security Investigation so they could examine the incident further.

The vehicle driving the shipment has also been recovered by the CBP.

US court demands jury testing in Tsarnaev case
Memory Hole spits one back.
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] An appeals court in the United States has demanded that the objectivity of two jurors who participated in sentencing Chechen native Dzhokhar Tsarnaev
...the pretty, ethnic-Chechen college boy from Dagestan who, with his highly connected, “self-radicalized” older brother, used pressure cooker bombs to blow up the Boston Marathon in 2013. The mosque the brothers frequented, the Islamic Society of Boston, is a hotbed of jihadi sentiment and connections to so many different jihadi groups and individuals the mind boggles. It was founded by Clinton Friend and Al Qaeda financier Abdurahman Alamoudi as a Muslim Student Association/Muslim Brotherhood project in 1981. According to Russian intelligence, whose warning about our lads President Obama’s intelligence agencies ignored until afterward, the Tsarnaev boys had lots of jihadi-connected friends back in the Olde Countrie, too, but nobody seems to have found a formal connection between them and any registered jihadi group. He’s been living in Florence Supermax prison since he was sentenced in 2015...
to death in the Boston bombing case be examined.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, in July 2020, an appeals court in the United States overturned the decision on the death penalty and decided to review the sentence of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The court cited possible bias in the jury chosen in Boston, where the attack took place. On March 4, 2022, the US Supreme Court upheld Tsarnaev's death sentence. The execution of the sentence was postponed until the appeal was considered, the lawyer said in August 2022.

The US Court of Appeal has ordered an investigation into possible jury bias in the case of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. This could lead to a revision of the death sentence, Reuters reports today, the publication of which drew the attention of Kommersant.

The court in Boston did not grant Tsarnaev's appeal to overturn his conviction, but returned the case to the trial court, concluding that the defendant's complaints about jury bias were not properly investigated during the previous trial. Tsarnaev argued that two jurors lied when they said they did not discuss the case on social media before the trial began.
Notice the absence of the Hajji convert Katherine Russell, wife of the late Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Vanished, never to be seen or heard from again.
The appeals court hearing was held on March 21, at which the court ordered the judge who presided over the trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to find out whether two jurors were biased.
New trial? No, Biden pardon likely. Hajji vote urgently needed in upcoming presidential election.
The district judge said that if the trial judge concluded that either juror should be disqualified, Tsarnaev would be entitled to a new trial, the release said.
Whatever. But in the end he helped his dead brother do it.
Let us remind you that the brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan "Speedbump" Tsarnaev, according to American intelligence services, organized a terrorist attack during the Boston Marathon on July 15, 2013. As a result of the double explosion, three people were killed and 180 were injured, according to the Caucasian Knot report “ Terrorist attack in Boston: Caucasian trace.”

Tamerlan Tsarnaev  was killed during detention, and a court in Boston sentenced Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death on June 25, 2015, after which he was sent to a maximum security prison, according to the biography of  Dzhokhar Tsarnaev posted on the "Caucasian Knot".

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: March 22, 2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title
.
[Korrespondent] 23:08 The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry categorically rejected the accusations that began to be heard from Russian officials of Ukraine’s alleged involvement in the shooting at the Crocus concert hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow. “We consider such accusations to be a planned provocation by the Kremlin in order to further whip up anti-Ukrainian hysteria in Russian society, create conditions for strengthening the mobilization of Russian citizens to participate in criminal aggression against our state and discredit Ukraine in the eyes of the international community,” the statement said.

22:50 In Zaporozhye, as a result of night rocket attacks, the number of victims increased to 29, including two children, the State Emergency Service reported.

22:12 The GUR stated that the terrorist attack in Moscow is a “planned and conscious provocation of the Russian special services at the direction of Putin,” the purpose of which is to justify even harsher attacks on Ukraine and total mobilization in Russia. “The public execution of people in Moscow should be understood as Putin’s threat to an even greater escalation and expansion of the war. Peskov’s statement about “war”, made shortly before the terrorist attack, is just a false start of a carefully planned Kremlin special operation,” the GUR emphasized.

Intelligence believes that the Kremlin may blame Kyiv for organizing the terrorist attack and use the execution of its citizens as a pretext for even more brutal attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine. “The unimpeded movement of a group of militants with machine guns in the center of Moscow, as well as a lot of other unconditional evidence, indicate that the shooting at Crocus City Hall was organized by Russian special services. International embassies also warned about the preparation of a terrorist attack,” the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense added.

21:34 In the Moscow region, a terrorist attack occurred in Crocus City Hall before the start of a concert by the Picnic group: several armed men in camouflage opened fire and began throwing incendiary bombs. As a result of the terrorist attack, according to preliminary data, about 40 people were killed and about 100 more were injured. A large fire broke out.

Some Russian public pages accused the Ukrainians; Medvedev also admitted the involvement of the “Kyiv regime.” GUR representative Andrei Yusov said in a commentary to the UP that the terrorist attack in the Moscow region is a deliberate provocation of the Putin regime, which the international community warned about. “The Kremlin tyrant began his career with this and wants to end it with the same crimes against his own citizens,” he said. Earlier, on March 8, the US Embassy in Russia and the British Foreign Office warned of possible terrorist attacks in Moscow on the eve of the presidential elections.

Advisor to the head of the OP Mikhail Podolyak said that Ukraine was not involved in the terrorist attack. The White House said there was "no indication that Ukraine or Ukrainians were involved in the shooting." White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby stressed that “at this early stage I would not advise looking for any connection with Ukraine.” Meanwhile, the Russian Freedom Legion also stated that this terrorist attack was organized by the Putin regime. “We have already encountered similar manifestations of the Kremlin dictatorship since Putin’s first days in power and are not surprised by another bloody provocation,” said the Legion fighters.

21:28 The mayor of Kharkov, Igor Terekhov, told the Russian IPSO information from the publication Vverstka that the Russian Federation is allegedly planning mass recruitment into the army and is preparing for covert mobilization to encircle Kharkov.

21:17 Great Britain announced new military aid for Ukraine worth 60 million pounds. Of these, 20 million will go to air defense systems. London will also provide reconnaissance drones, the British Ministry of Defense said.

21:04 Energy holding DTEK lost almost half of its capacity as a result of a massive Russian attack on the Ukrainian energy system, said Dmitry Sakharuk, executive director of the company. According to him, today thermal generation was severely damaged, and there was significant damage at two DTEK stations. Restoring capacity will cost billions of hryvnia, so Ukrainian energy companies will not be able to cope on their own, Sakharuk noted.

19:42 Syrsky said that some troop groups will be reformatted. First of all, we are talking about managerial personnel potential, its competent and rational redistribution. The main goal of these measures is to simplify and maximize the quality and efficiency of management, the commander-in-chief explained.

He called one of his priorities the establishment of a rotation process for personnel of combat brigades. “In addition, it is important to pay more attention to the issues of rest for our soldiers, replenishment of weapons and military equipment and restoration of the combat effectiveness of brigades as a whole. This process has already been launched and will only increase in the future,” Syrsky noted.

19:36 The Russians hit the Odessa region with a ballistic missile - probably Iskander-M. The Southern Defense Forces said the enemy is trying to destroy the region's infrastructure. In the Odessa region, a fire broke out at the site of the impact and was promptly extinguished. No casualties were reported.

19:27 Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced that “a large amount of ammunition” will be sent to Ukraine in the near future: “Thanks to the initiative of the Czech Republic, a large amount of ammunition will be sent to Ukraine in the near future. In the coming weeks and months, we will continue to do everything possible to support Ukraine , giving priority to artillery and air defense."

19:20 The European Council adopted a resolution in which it strongly condemned Russia’s holding of illegal pseudo-elections in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The results of such fake “votes” will never be recognized by the leaders of the European Union, the document notes.

19:14 Russian troops fired at the largest Ukrainian hydroelectric power station - DneproGES in Zaporozhye. The station was hit at least eight times, in particular the support and crane beams were damaged. Russia sought to completely disable the hydroelectric power plant, but this did not happen. This is not the first time the station has been blown up during a war. About its significance and consequences of the attack - in the material History of the DneproHES .

18:19 Zelensky said that he had a meeting with Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen. They discussed Russian missile attacks, the need to strengthen Ukrainian air defense, and the prospects for joint production of weapons.

17:54 Zelensky said that he held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters, the only topic discussed was energy. “Headquarters made several closed decisions. But only the decision of our partners to provide a sufficient number of modern air defense systems can truly protect Ukraine. We work every day in this direction,” the president noted.

17:48 As a result of today's massive attack, about 20 substations were damaged, as well as power plants, in particular the DneproHPP, Shmyhal said. However, according to him, the key thing now is that the energy system is intact and operates stably; it was possible to withstand the blow thanks to the additional protection of energy facilities. There is no shortage of capacity and is not currently forecast; it will first take a day to restore power supply to all household consumers.

17:36 Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation Vasily Nebenzya said at a meeting of the UN Security Council that the goal of the Russian invasion to “demilitarize” Ukraine has been fulfilled: “Taking into account the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not been fighting with their weapons for a long time, we can say that the goal of our Northern Military District to demilitarize Ukraine itself has been fulfilled "Now the militants survive solely on supplies from NATO countries."

17:32 France and Germany have granted permission to tank manufacturer KNDS to create a branch in Ukraine, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said after negotiations with his German counterpart Boris Pistorius. According to him, the branch will produce spare parts and train local personnel.

17:29 The Ministry of Energy reported that the fires at the attacked thermal power plants and hydroelectric power stations have been localized. At the DneproHPP, despite serious damage, power engineers have put some of the equipment into operation, but the station is not yet producing electricity. Inspection of the damage and assessment of the extent of the damage continues.

17:25 American officials called on Ukraine to stop attacks on Russian oil refineries, since this, according to them, could lead to an increase in world oil prices and provoke retaliatory actions. According to the Financial Times, relevant warnings from Washington have been sent more than once by the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate. About the reaction of representatives of the Ukrainian government, as well as the opinions of experts on the impact of such attacks on world prices - in the material Strange statement from the United States .

17:22 The opposition Russian publication Verstka writes that the Russian Federation allegedly wants to call up 300 thousand people to attack Kharkov. Sources in the “internal political bloc of the Russian Presidential Administration” claim that they do not want to destroy the city like Mariupol, but will try to surround it in order to show their “ability to fight in a civilized manner.”

17:16 Nine more Ukrainian children were returned home, the Presidential Office reported. Qatar acted as a mediator. Five children abducted by Russia returned today. Four of them are from orphanages. Four more children had previously returned from the temporarily occupied territories and had already visited the Center for the Protection of Children's Rights, where they told law enforcement officers about the crimes of the Russians that they had witnessed. In particular, children were forced to go to Russian schools, where they were told that there was no independent state of Ukraine.

17:10 An office of the Register of Damage Caused by Russian Aggression, created under the auspices of the Council of Europe, was opened in Kiev, the Office of the President reports following a meeting between Zelensky and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maria Pejčinović-Burich and the Chairperson of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liechtenstein Dominique Gasler .

16:58 At today’s meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers agreed on the creation of the SBU Aviation Center.

The “martyrs” do not have indecision, like some politicians. It is important to understand the cost of delays and deferred decisions. Patriot systems must protect Kharkov and Zaporozhye; air defense is needed to protect people and infrastructure , houses and dams. Partners know exactly what is needed. They can definitely support. These solutions are needed,” the president emphasized.

08:55 The morning attack on the energy system of Ukraine was the largest of all time , it is characterized by the use of combined weapons. The attack was carried out in different regions of Ukraine, at thermal and hydroelectric power plants, as well as at main substations managed by Ukrenergo, said the head of Ukrenergo Vladimir Kudrytsky.

According to him, there is damage to energy facilities in many regions, especially in Kharkov, where the scale of damage is greatest. The enemy tried to hit various objects of the energy system - generation, high-voltage substations, substations of distribution operators. Kudritsky also noted that there are restrictions on energy supply in different regions of Ukraine, mainly on the left bank of the Dnieper.

“I emphasize that these are controlled restrictions so that the system works holistically. Most of the questions are about the status of damage to the Dnieper Hydroelectric Power Station: so far there is no risk of a dam breaking, the status of the damage is being clarified and will be finally clear in a few hours,” the head of Ukrenergo noted.

Two people charged in the case of Basayev's raid on Dagestan
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The case of two people accused of participating in the attack of militants Basayev and Khattab on Dagestan in 1999 has been brought to court.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, the detention of the alleged participants in the attack of the Basayev and Khattab group on Dagestan continues after almost a quarter of a century. Thus, in December 2023, the Investigative Committee reported that a native of Dagestan, Ibragim Magomedov, had been detained, whom investigators considered to be a participant in the attack of militants Basayev and Khattab on the republic in 1999.

On August 7, 1999, more than a thousand armed fighters from Chechnya entered the territory of Dagestan under the leadership of Shamil Basayev  and Jordanian  Amir Khattab. Fighting continued in the republic for more than a month. Only on September 15, 1999, the Minister of Defense announced that the territory of Dagestan had been completely liberated, according to the “Caucasian Knot” certificate “ Invasion of Militants in Dagestan (1999).”

The case of two people accused of attacking military personnel in the Botlikhsky district in 1999 was transferred to the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don, the Prosecutor General's Office announced today.

“They are accused under Part 2 of Article 209 (participation in a stable armed group (gang), Article 279 (active participation in an armed rebellion for the purpose of forcibly changing the constitutional system of the Russian Federation and violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation), Article 317 (attack on the lives of military personnel in for the purpose of obstructing the legitimate activities of these persons to protect public order and ensure public safety) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation,” says the publication on the department’s website.

According to investigators, the accused have been members since 1999 “of a gang created on the territory of the Chechen Republic by Basayev and Khattab.” “As part of which they participated in an armed rebellion in the area of the village of Rakhata, Botlikh district, where they attacked a military maneuver group,” the prosecutor’s office said.

Previously, the cases of more than 90 accused of the attack were also sent to court, some of them have already been sentenced to various terms of imprisonment, the publication notes.

The cases of participation in the gangs of Basayev and Khattab are of the same type and are often falsified, lawyer Narine Airapetyan previously told the Caucasian Knot. "The witnesses are the same everywhere. Five witnesses are usually taken - three classified witnesses and two open," she said.

Hayrapetyan emphasized that  cases are being fabricated against innocent people as well. “When people did not participate, but under threat, including torture, other people are forced to testify against them. <...> For example, one of my clients, who is currently serving a sentence in the Ulyanovsk region, told me that he was under pressure in order to force him to testify on the events of 1999 against people whom he had never known before,” the lawyer noted.

Up to five people in camouflage opened fire at the Crocus City Hall, with at least 40 people feared dead, according to reports.

Up to 100 may be trapped in the burning building as flames rage, as some were evacuated from the roof of the hall, which has a capacity of 6000.

On Friday evening there were warnings that a floor of the burning hall may collapse.

Security checks have been stepped at key places in Moscow including airports and train stations, as BBC News reported that one gunman may have escaped the attack.
Brought to mind Nord Ost or Beslan, didn't it?
Islamic State says it carried out terror attack at music venue which left 62 dead

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Islamic State tonight claimed responsibility for a suspected terror attack which killed at least 60 people at a packed concert venue on the outskirts of Moscow.

Around 100 people were also left fighting for their lives when gunmen in camouflage clothing opened fire with automatic weapons on people at a concert in the Crocus City Hall on Friday.

Nord Ost, Beslan, Nalchik, Grozny...
the attackers were shown in unverified videos firing repeatedly at screaming civilians cowering in the concert.

Audience members had been at the venue to see Soviet-era rock group 'Picnic' about to perform at 8pm when the massacre began.

But before the music started the gunmen marched out into the auditorium and started opening fire.

It brought back harrowing memories of the Islamic State assault on Paris's Bataclan concert hall in 2015 when 89 people were shot dead.

And in a statement released on Telegram tonight the extremist group said: 'IS fighters attacked a large gathering on the outskirts of the Russian capital Moscow' before they had 'retreated to their bases safely'.

Apocalyptic scenes outside Crocus City Hall after the armed assault saw flames leapt into the sky and plumes of black smoke rose above the venue.

Hundreds of blue lights from emergency vehicles flashed into the night as police and medics tried to help the injured.

The terrorists opened fire on visitors with machine guns, killing at least 40 people and injuring over 130. Then there was an explosion and a fire started. IA Regnum has restored the entire chronology of the events of the evening of the tragedy.

The Commissioner for Children's Rights in Moscow, Olga Yaroslavskaya, said that there were children among the victims.

“A terrible tragedy. Children were harmed. Sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims. There can be no mercy for terrorists who attack civilians. Strength and courage to all of us,” she wrote on social networks.

ATTACK AND PANIC
On the evening of March 22, a concert of the famous group “Picnic” was supposed to take place in the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk. Hundreds of people gathered for the event. Just before the start, there were claps.

According to eyewitnesses and the musicians themselves, at first no one thought of shooting. A member of the musical group told reporters that he mistook the loud sounds for special effects that had gone wrong.

However, at this time unknown persons shot several people. People rushed to the exits, panic arose, and, judging by the video from eyewitnesses, there was some kind of crush at the exit from the building.

EXPLOSION AND FIRE
Soon emergency services reported an explosion in the Crocus building. A large fire followed. Firefighters and rescuers were immediately dispatched to the scene. Moscow sent additional forces to help Krasnogorsk, including firefighting helicopters.

The first report of smoke came in at approximately 20:15 Moscow time. Three minutes later the first fire department was already on the scene. Rescuers could not immediately begin extinguishing the fire; according to information agency Regnum, an evacuation was taking place, and inside there could have been a fight between SOBR and OMON officers and militants. At 20:30 the building's structures began to collapse. At the same time, rescuers noticed about 50 people on the roof.

At 20:46, 100 people were evacuated from Crocus, including people from the roof.

A REACTION
Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the head of state was informed about the tragedy in the very first minutes.

Putin gave all the necessary instructions.

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev expressed deep condolences to the families of the dead and injured. He noted that terrorists only understand retaliatory terror. No amount of trials or investigations will help if force is not countered by force.

“If it is established that these are terrorists of the Kyiv regime, it is impossible to deal with them and their ideological inspirers differently. All of them must be found and mercilessly destroyed as terrorists. Including officials of the state that committed such an atrocity,” he emphasized.

The Russian Foreign Ministry, in turn, called on the world community not to turn a blind eye to the terrorist attack in Russia and to categorically condemn it. However, in response, the office of the UN Secretary General only stated that he was “saddened” by the events.

“SADDEN? SHOOTING? This is a fight at a shooting range, or what? Live, people with all their might are broadcasting footage of a monstrous, bloody terrorist attack, which causes not “sadness,” but horror, shock, shock, unconditional condemnation, righteous anger and compassion for the victims,” said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, indignantly.

At the same time, she expressed doubts that Western countries were not aware of the impending massacre.

Thus, the White House hastened to declare that the Ukrainians were not involved in what happened.

“On what basis do officials in Washington draw any conclusions in the midst of a tragedy about anyone’s innocence? If the United States has or had reliable data in this regard, then it must be immediately transferred to the Russian side. And if there is no such data, then the White House has no right to issue indulgences to anyone,” Zakharova said.

She added that the competent authorities will identify all those involved.

The Investigative Directorate of Russia has already opened a criminal case regarding a terrorist attack in the Moscow region

The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Terrorist act”).

An investigative team from the central office of the Russian Investigative Committee went to the scene of the incident.

Vucic said that the United States had information about the preparation of terrorist attacks in Russia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on March 22 that the United States and Great Britain could have information about terrorist attacks being prepared in Russia, as they warned their citizens in Russia not to visit crowded places.

“On March 7, the American Embassy called on its citizens not to visit the shopping center. Then the British did the same. This means that their intelligence services intercepted certain conversations, received information and knew that something would happen,” Vucic said on the Prva TV channel.

The US Embassy in Russia reported that terrorist attacks were possible in Moscow on March 8–9. The British Foreign Office also informed citizens in those days.

“The Embassy is monitoring reports that extremists are planning to attack large gatherings of people in Moscow, including concerts, in the near future, and US citizens are advised to avoid large crowds for the next 48 hours,” the message said.

The message was published only in English. The State Department has raised the danger level for its citizens in the Russian Federation to the maximum level of four.

As IA Regnum reported, before the concert of the Picnic group at Crocus City Hall on the evening of March 22, shooting was heard. Unidentified people in camouflage and masks opened fire from firearms. According to the FSB, 40 people were killed and more than 100 injured as a result of the shooting.

More than 50 ambulance teams were sent to Crocus. According to a Regnum news agency source, there is a shootout in the concert hall between security forces and militants who opened fire. OMON and SOBR are working on the spot.

Later, the first lists of victims as a result of the shooting appeared. In some cases, specific injuries were noted - a woman and a man were wounded in the leg and back. The list also includes a 12-year-old child.

A former employee of CHOP CROCUS PROFI LLC, which provides security for Crocus, told IA Regnum that on the territory of the concert hall there were not only guards with batons and stun guns, but also armed guards - units of the State Bureau of Investigation. The interlocutor noted that he did not know why they did not work at the right time.

Zakharova commented on the White House's statements about the terrorist attack in Moscow

Zakharova: if the United States had information about the terrorist attack in Moscow, it should urgently transfer it to the Russian Federation

The United States must urgently transmit all information about the terrorist attack in Moscow, if it has such data, Russian official representative Maria Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel.

“If the United States has or had reliable data on this matter, then it must be immediately transferred to the Russian side,” she noted.

Earlier, the White House said it saw no signs that Ukraine or Ukrainians were involved in the terrorist attack in Moscow. At the same time, the US administration claims that it did not have information about the preparation of this attack.

Zakharova was outraged that Washington was making statements in the midst of the tragedy about the non-involvement of anyone. She emphasized that if the United States still does not have information about what happened, then the American side does not have the right to protect any forces.

As Regnum reported, on March 22, a terrorist attack occurred at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow. As a result of the terrorist attack, 25 people were killed and another 45 were injured.

In addition, due to the terrorist attack, a fire broke out in the hall, which is why some of the visitors were blocked on the second floor. The area of fire spread was up to 3,000 square meters.

Zakharova held the EU responsible for the terrorist attacks in Kyiv against Russians

The EU leadership, which supplies weapons to Kiev, must bear responsibility for the terrorist attacks of the Kiev regime against civilians of Russia, according to a commentary by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, on the results of the EU summit on March 21–22.

“Responsibility should be equally borne by the current leadership of the European Union and its member countries, which supplies Kiev with weapons and provokes it to commit international crimes,” the statement says.

Zakharova pointed out that the goal set by the European Union to double arms purchases in European countries by 2030 indicates the EU’s plans, following the example of the United States, to start making money on wars. At the same time, as the diplomat emphasized, the allocation of €50 billion in financial and economic support to Ukraine and €5 billion in military assistance from the EU will not save the Kiev regime.

The Russian diplomat noted that the European Union is already openly telling Ukrainians that their place is not in Europe, but “on the battlefield” against Russia.

As Regnum reported, in February, the head of the Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu, at a thematic conference call with the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces, said that the Kiev regime’s terrorist attacks against civilians are needed to demonstrate at least some success to the West.

President Vladimir Putin said that Russia will never forget about Kiev’s crimes against Russian citizens.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces daily carry out massive attacks on residential areas of the border territories of the Russian Federation. In particular, the Belgorod and Kursk regions are under fire.

Putin said on March 20 that Russia could respond symmetrically to Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on civilian targets in border areas, but it will not do so. The head of state emphasized that the country has its own views on this matter and its own plans.

FSB stopped the creation of an RDK cell in Moscow

The FSB detained seven Muscovites who were planning to create an RDK cell

The Federal Security Service prevented an attempt to create a criminal group in Moscow from among supporters of the nationalist organization “Russian Volunteer Corps” (RDK, recognized in the Russian Federation as a terrorist organization and banned) banned in the Russian Federation. This was reported on March 22 by the Public Relations Center (PRC) of the FSB.

In total, security forces detained seven residents of the capital - supporters of this organization.

“Seven detained residents of Moscow maintained contacts with the RDK, operating as part of the armed forces of Ukraine against the Russian army, and discussed ways of carrying out violent actions against representatives of law enforcement agencies, military personnel and foreigners,” the department reported.

FSB officers conducted searches at their places of residence. The security forces seized knives, a machete, an ax, an aerosol pistol and pepper spray, flags with Nazi symbols, as well as communications equipment containing active correspondence with the leaders of the RDK.

As Regnum reported, on March 21, a man was detained in the Belgorod region who was preparing acts of sabotage and terrorism against the Russian military. An explosive device ready for remote detonation in the area where Russian military personnel are stationed in the region was seized from a supporter of Ukrainian terrorists from the RDK. On the same day, the court arrested him.

In Crimea, on March 22, FSB officers detained a member of the illegal armed formation “Crimean Tatar Battalion named after Noman Celebidzhikhan” (a terrorist organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation). According to the department, in 2015 the man joined the ranks of an illegal armed group stationed on the territory of Ukraine and actively took part in its work directed against the interests of Russia.

GUR about the shooting in a shopping center near Moscow: Deliberate provocation on the orders of Putin
They would say that, wouldn't they?
There was a shooting, explosion and fire in the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk

Intelligence officials believe that the Kremlin will most likely blame Ukraine for this shooting in order to escalate military aggression.

The terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall shopping center near Moscow is a planned and deliberate provocation of the Russian special services on the instructions of dictator Vladimir Putin. The goal is the Kremlin’s attempt to justify intensifying attacks on Ukraine and total mobilization. This was stated by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Intelligence drew attention to the intention of the Russian leadership to escalate military aggression.

“The public execution of people in Moscow should be understood as Putin’s threat of an even greater escalation and expansion of the war. Peskov’s statement about “war”, made shortly before the terrorist attack, is just a false start of a carefully planned Kremlin special operation,” the GUR statement said.

It is noted that Putin “has extensive experience in organizing such terrorist attacks as a way to strengthen his own power, starting with the bombing of houses on the Kashirskoye Highway.”

“Just like then, today’s action to intimidate Russians will become a reason for maximum tightening of the screws in Russia itself,” the Main Intelligence Directorate stated.

Intelligence officials believe that the Kremlin will most likely blame Ukraine for this shooting in order to “use the shooting of its own citizens as a pretext for even more brutal attacks on civilian infrastructure and the killing of Ukrainian civilians.”

“Today’s attack on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine is another link in the escalation initiated by Putin,” the GUR statement said.

As the intelligence service emphasized, the unhindered movement of a group of militants with machine guns in the center of Moscow, among other evidence, indicates that “the shooting at Crocus City Hall was organized by Russian special services.”

“International embassies also warned about the preparation of a terrorist attack. It is obvious to the whole world that the terrorist attack in Moscow is another crime by Putin to retain his own authorities,” the GUR stated.

Let us remind you that today, March 22, a shooting occurred in the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow . According to Russian media, about 40 people were killed and at least 140 people were injured.

Many Americans who still have anger over 9/11 are certainly feeling empathy for the Russians after this attack.

Arabia
Zeltyn: cutting aid from Iran could force the Houthis to move closer to the Russian Federation and China
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] We cannot rule out attempts by the Yemeni rebel movement Ansar Allah (Houthis) to establish closer contacts with Beijing and Moscow. This probability is quite acceptable, but this information in any case requires official confirmation. This opinion was expressed by IA Regnum Arabist Andrey Zeltyn.

Bloomberg reported on March 21 that the Houthis promised Russia and China unhindered passage of their ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden in exchange for foreign policy support.

The Houthis have enjoyed great support from Iran for quite a long time, the expert recalled. In turn, in Tehran they were considered as a kind of pressure factor on Saudi Arabia, which acted as a regional adversary. But recently, Iranian support for the Houthis, according to Zeltyn, has begun to decline due to the obvious warming of bilateral relations between Tehran and Riyadh. It is difficult to assess these changes in specific figures, the expert noted. However, if Iran and Saudi Arabia begin to improve relations, then the Houthi factor as a lever of Iranian pressure in the region will disappear.

“But the Houthis don’t have very many of their own resources. And they have opposition both outside Yemen and inside, although they occupy quite strong positions in their country,” Zeltyn noted.

In his opinion, it is likely that it was in search of a solution to their problems that the Houthi movement actively came out in support of the Palestinians in their bloody conflict with Israel. It is also possible that, on the same basis, the movement could well try to establish closer relations with Russia and China against the backdrop of Washington’s sharply intensified confrontation with Moscow and Beijing. And the topic of unhindered passage of sea vessels is a good basis for such attempts.

“The logic is straightforward and absolutely transparent. Russia and China compete with the United States, which impose sanctions against Russia and at the same time put pressure on China. Americans support Israel, they are reactionary forces in the Middle East. The Houthis have their own problems; they are not averse to finding new sponsors in Beijing and Moscow, while continuing to threaten Western courts. This is exactly the product they are trying to sell now. And this story is not unique to the Middle East now,” the expert is sure.

The Houthis promised Russia and China that their ships would not be attacked in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Bloomberg reported this on March 21, citing unnamed sources. The agency claims that the parties were able to reach such an agreement following negotiations in Oman. In exchange, the Houthis allegedly expect political support from Moscow and Beijing in international structures, primarily in the UN Security Council.

As Regnum reported, on March 14, Ansar Allah tested a hypersonic missile with high lethality. According to a military source, the solid-fuel rocket reached a speed of about Mach 8 (almost 10 thousand km per hour). And on March 15, the Houthis attacked the Israeli commercial ship Pacific 01 and a US Navy destroyer in the Red Sea. Several anti-ship missiles were fired at the American destroyer.

Shortly before this, on March 9, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saria announced attacks on a commercial ship and several American destroyers in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. According to him, anti-ship missiles and drones were used for attacks.

Task Force 'Winners': punishment for punishers
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Alexander Tikhonov

[RedStar] In just over two years, this detachment carried out many daring successful operations against the Nazis deep behind enemy lines on the territory of Poland and the Ukrainian SSR.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the death of a special agent of the state security agencies, Hero of the Soviet Union Nikolai Ivanovich Kuznetsov, at the hands of Ukrainian nationalists, the Public Relations Center of the FSB of Russia posted digital copies of a previously unpublished declassified report from the funds of the Central Archive on the official website of the agency in the “Archival materials” section of the “History” section FSB of Russia about the combat activities of the operational group of the 4th Directorate of the NKVD-NKGB of the USSR “Winners” under the command of State Security Colonel Hero of the Soviet Union D.N. Medvedev.

“DO YOU SELL A SLAVIC WARDROBE?”
This phrase became known throughout the country from the feature film “The Feat of a Scout,” released on USSR screens in September 1947. Although the image of our intelligence officer in this film is collective, the plot is based on the activities in the German rear of the legendary Soviet intelligence man Nikolai Ivanovich Kuznetsov. Later, feature films “Strong in Spirit” (1967), “Special Forces Squad” (1987), and “On the Razor’s Edge” (2014) were created about him. So the country knew and knows well this Hero of the Soviet Union and a number of feats that he accomplished while operating in the German rear in the form of Oberleutnant or Hauptmann Paul Siebert.

Members of Nikolai Kuznetsov’s group carried out several daring operations to eliminate German military leaders and major Nazi leaders of the occupation regime in Ukraine, and also obtained valuable intelligence and counterintelligence information.

Nikolai Ivanovich himself was a special counterintelligence agent as part of the “Winners” task force under the command of State Security Colonel Dmitry Nikolaevich Medvedev, who personally supervised Nikolai Kuznetsov’s combat operations. And in the detachment Kuznetsov was known under the pseudonyms “fighter Grachev”, “Pooh” and “Colonist”.

Some episodes of combat activity behind enemy lines of this task force are well known from numerous books, newspaper publications and the above-mentioned feature films about Nikolai Kuznetsov. Perhaps the most famous books on this topic were the works of Medevedev himself, “It Was Near Rovno” and “Strong in Spirit.”

However, to date, archival materials about the “Winners” detachment have not been published. And now, having been declassified, they are posted on the official website of the FSB of Russia in the “Archival materials” section of the “History” section.

For about two years, on the temporarily occupied territory of the Ukrainian SSR and Poland, deep behind enemy lines, the task force carried out intelligence, operational, reconnaissance, combat and sabotage activities

So, the operational group of the 4th Directorate of the NKVD-NKGB of the USSR began its combat work in mid-May 1942, and in the early summer of 1944 reached the location of the Red Army units. Thus, for about two years, on the temporarily occupied territory of the Ukrainian SSR and Poland, deep behind enemy lines, the task force carried out intelligence, operational, reconnaissance, combat and sabotage activities.

On October 6, 1944, the commander of the operational group “Winners”, future Hero of the Soviet Union, State Security Colonel D.N. Medvedev reported to the head of the 4th Directorate of the NKGB of the USSR, Commissar of State Security 3rd Rank P.A. Sudoplatov about the work done by the task force. Today, the pages of this report are among the documents declassified and posted on the website of the Russian FSB.

Initially, the detachment consisted of 100 people from among the commanders and fighters, most of whom were selected from OMSBON (Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade for Special Purposes). The task force also included operatives and special counterintelligence agents, one of whom was the future Hero of the Soviet Union Nikolai Kuznetsov.

In the “Report” of the task force commander, attention is drawn to fragments related to the daily activities of the task force personnel. These include maintaining military discipline and order, organizing educational work, and treating wounded and sick comrades.

“[...] The commander’s order was a law subject to unconditional and immediate execution. Entering into any kind of argument with a superior comrade was strictly forbidden. […] Foul language and swearing were considered hooliganism and were strictly prohibited. […]

The struggle to maintain weapons in exemplary order and for the safety of ammunition, sapper and other property of the operational group has always and everywhere remained the focus of our attention. […]

Despite the large availability of captured alcoholic beverages, drunkenness was considered the worst vice that could harm our business and was strictly prohibited. Drinking alcoholic beverages in populated areas was especially prohibited. Soldiers and commanders going on missions not only did not have the right to buy alcoholic beverages there, but had to answer that they did not drink if local residents offered them a drink as a treat […] The task force introduced the strictest order according to which fighters and commanders handed over to the economic unit everything, down to the last needle, captured items, as well as food and property confiscated from traitors to the Motherland. […]

We paid exceptional attention to the relationship between our fighters and the local population. Each fighter of the operational group, encountering local residents, was not only a cultural fighter of the Red Army, but also an agitator and propagandist. […]

We did not ignore a single case of violation of the procedures we established: the perpetrators were punished according to their deserts, and their misdeeds were discussed and condemned in all divisions of the task force.”

The report also contains a few words about the organization of leisure time in the task force. If card games were strictly prohibited (as was the very presence of playing cards), then “games of chess, checkers and dominoes were the favorite pastime of all soldiers and commanders […] From time to time, tournaments were held between the best players, especially chess players.”

This may seem surprising and unusual to some today, but sports and mass work was also carried out in the task force deep behind enemy lines. “In the summer, the personnel engaged in military-applied sports: throwing grenades, climbing trees, etc., as well as playing volleyball and gorodki. Team competitions were also held in these sports.”

Amateur artistic activities were also not forgotten. “Upon returning from a successfully completed mission, after the changing of the guards, and in other free time, if the situation allowed, there were singers, storytellers, reciters, and dancers. From time to time there was an amateur performance show between individual units.”

“Of the customs that have taken root in the task force, we should also note the attitude towards wounded and sick comrades.

We took into account the enormous educational importance that attentive attitude towards wounded and sick comrades has on the surrounding soldiers and commanders.

Firstly, we demanded that, despite the circumstances, not only to carry a wounded comrade out of the battlefield and provide him with immediate assistance, but also to carry out and take away the corpses of killed comrades […]

All the best that was obtained as a result of battles and operations, like -sugar, jam, butter, cigarettes, tobacco, honey, blankets, bed and underwear and much more - were primarily given to the medical unit for wounded and sick comrades. […]

By concentrating our attention on the issues of educating fighters, using for this everything that could be used in the conditions of our work, we have achieved great positive results.

The soldiers and commanders considered it a great happiness for themselves to be sent on the most dangerous missions.”

In his “Report,” Dmitry Nikolaevich Medvedev dwelled in detail on the episodes of the operational group’s combat activities. Fragments are published about the “Kafra Case” - the kidnapping of German Major General Max Ilgen, the explosion of the station and the officer’s casino in the city of Rivne.

The operation to kidnap General Ilgen, who commanded special forces in Ukraine, is impressive, on the one hand, with the audacity of the plan and, on the other, with the flexibility, resourcefulness, courage and restraint in its implementation of the group members, especially Nikolai Kuznetsov, who in this case is mentioned under a pseudonym "Colonist".

There were six agents in this group, including two women who played major roles in the initial phase of the operation. Both were introduced into Ilgen’s entourage, began working in his house and were thus able to inform the detachment’s command about the general’s lifestyle, his external security, routes, means of transportation, etc. At a pre-arranged signal from one of them, on November 15, 1943, Kuznetsov, dressed in the uniform of a German Hauptmann, and three other agents drove up to the general’s house in a six-seater Adler limousine that had been previously stolen at the detachment’s base and repainted in a different color. Naturally, the license plate on the car was changed; the new documents for it were in perfect order.

The disarmed Ilgen was captured in one of his rooms, but his hands were poorly tied. And on the street, five meters from the car, he managed to escape from Kuznetsov, who was holding him by the arms, his hands were untied, he grabbed the handkerchief from his mouth and began to call for help. “But by the measures taken […] Ilgen was “calmed down” hands and feet, despite his general rank, brought into proper condition and placed in a car.”

TASK FORCE “WINNERS”: PUNISHMENT FOR PUNISHERS
In response to the general’s cries, four Germans ran up to his house, and at the same time a changing of the guard appeared at Ilgen’s house. The car with him had already driven 200 meters and stopped waiting for the “Colonist”, who was supposed to, as they say now, resolve the situation. And he did it brilliantly. Here's what the report says about it.

The “colonist,” in response to the Germans’ questions “what is happening here, who is being taken away,” showed them a real Gestapo badge with a number, stated that he and other Gestapo officers had arrested a long-wanted bandit and were taking him to the Gestapo. Seeing that the Germans were at a loss, “Colonist” announced to them that the Gestapo was also looking for accomplices of the captured bandit, dressed in German uniforms, etc. he doesn’t know why they ended up here and who they are - he is forced to detain them all and take them to the Gestapo.

The Germans, obviously having no desire to get acquainted with the Gestapo, stated that they were employees of the Reichskommissariat and accidentally found themselves here, running to the cries that they were in a hurry and asked “Kolonist” to let them go.

One of them […] behaved actively and expressed some distrust of “Kolonist” as a Gestapo employee.

“The Colonist” was forced, with persistence, to arrest him, take him and put him in a car, and release the rest of the Germans, having previously written down their names according to the documents they presented.”

It remains to add that both of our female agents had an alibi thought out and provided in advance, as a result of which the Gestapo removed suspicion from them and left them alone. Due to the tense situation in Rivne and its environs, they decided not to deliver Ilgen to Moscow. Naturally, he was not left alive.

The “winners” actively carried out counterintelligence work in the German rear, introduced task force agents into the enemy’s punitive agencies:
“[...] Through them we not only learned what the Germans were doing to search for the perpetrators of terrorist and sabotage acts committed by us in the city of Rivne, but they also obtained counterintelligence data. […]

[…] “Larissa”, on our instructions, stole and gave us the main seal and stamp of the Gestapo, as well as books of search and arrest warrants, forms of search reports and Gestapo certificates. She delivered us secret topographic maps. She took a German typewriter out of the Gestapo and gave us, and, most importantly, delivered up to 50 sheets of copy paper, used by the Gestapo once at a time.

By deciphering and translating documents written through this copy, it was established that the Gestapo were engaged in eliminating traces of the mass executions of civilians and prisoners of war they carried out, burning corpses and camouflaging graves in every possible way.

These documents, delivered by Larisa, were subsequently used and widely published in newspapers by the emergency state commission to investigate the atrocities of the Nazis.”

The Nazi operation to hide traces of the extermination of civilians was called “Action 1005.”

A significant place in the “Report” is occupied by the story of the sabotage work carried out by the task force. Here are just a few examples:

“[...] on November 7, 1942, a group of demolitionists under the leadership of Comrade Malikov blew up a train with officers on the Kovel-Sarny railway. The train was heading to the front. The mine explosion destroyed the locomotive and carriages. four carriages were heavily damaged. Over 100 German officers were killed and wounded
.
On November 26, 1942, a group of soldiers under the command of Comrade Stakhov on the same railway was blown up by a mine and fired upon by hurricane fire from machine guns, rifles and machine guns, a train with officers of flight and tank units traveling on leave from the eastern front. A steam locomotive was smashed and shot through with a heavy machine gun, three passenger cars were destroyed, over 70 German officers were killed and wounded […].”

The task force lived up to its name - “Winners”. The results of their combat activities behind enemy lines speak about this better than any words. They brought terror and panic to the Nazi occupiers. The enemy did not feel safe in the rear.

The “winners” conducted about 120 combat operations; killed about 12 thousand German soldiers, officers and Nazi accomplices; liquidated 11 German generals and senior officials of the occupation administration; blew up more than 80 enemy trains

Unfortunately, there were also losses in the detachment. Nikolai Kuznetsov also did not live to see the Victory - 80 years ago, in early March 1944, he tragically died at the hands of Ukrainian nationalists. He remained in the memory of our people forever.

The “Report” contains a detailed list of trophies of the “Winners” group. These numbers are also impressive: 4 45mm cannons, five battalion and five company mortars, up to 60 heavy and light machine guns, over 200,000 rounds of ammunition, up to 70 mines for mortars, up to three tons of explosives and mines and much more.

Getting acquainted with the first published fragments of the declassified “Report” from the funds of the Central Archive of the FSB of Russia, you realize that our ancestors were excellent at fighting, including deep behind enemy lines. Much of the experience of intelligence, operational, reconnaissance, combat and sabotage activities of the operational group of the 4th Directorate of the NKVD-NKGB of the USSR “Winners” remains in demand now, when the city of Rivne is again occupied by the enemy.

In the area of Pobeda and Nevel'skoye there are positional battles. In Pervomaisky, the assault on a populated area by Russian troops continues. There are advances, but they are being achieved with great difficulty; the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to offer fierce resistance in this locality. The main news was the liberation of the settlement. Thin, from where the Ukrainian Armed Forces had to retreat after Orlovka. Encounter fighting continues in Berdychi.

– Artemovskoe (Bakhmutskoe) direction. Encounter battles in the Kleshcheevka area, in Bogdanovka and Ivanovsky (Krasny), in the area of the first settlement. there are advances. Russian troops continue to develop their offensive towards Chasov Yar.

– In the Khar'kov and Sumy directions, the activity of hostilities has noticeably decreased, but it is too early to say that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will no longer attempt sabotage in the border area. Artillery artillery attack of the Kursk and Belgorod regions continues.

Chronicle of a special military operation for March 21, 2024

– For the first time since winter, Russian troops carried out a massive raid on enemy targets in Kyiv and the region, including using cruise and hypersonic missiles: the targets were industrial and warehouse facilities. The Russian Armed Forces also attacked one of the enterprises in Nikolaev.

– In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to withdraw forces from the border after the failure of the offensive in the direction of the Belgorod region. However, Ukrainian formations continue to shell settlements in the region.

– In the Artemovsky (Bakhmutsky) direction, the RF Armed Forces were able to occupy the territory of the former railway station on the right bank of the Alabastrovoy headquarters south of Kleshcheevka. At the same time, given the lack of visible successes in the rest of the area along the reservoir, it will not be easy for Russian units to gain a foothold.

– In the Avdeevsky direction, the enemy was driven out of Tonenkoye, the settlement itself came under the complete control of Russian troops. At the moment, there are battles for forest belts to the north and south of the village, after the capture of which the path to the Umanskoye-Semyonovka line will open for the Russian Armed Forces.

Away from the shelling. Dagestan is preparing to welcome Belgorod children
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Anastasia Ordinyan

[REGNUM] About nine thousand children are being evacuated from the Belgorod region due to shelling, the regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Thursday, March 20. First of all, children will leave from Belgorod, the Belgorod and Grayvoronsky districts, as well as from the Shebekinsky district.

On Friday, March 22, 1,200 children are sent to Tambov, Kaluga and Penza. This will be followed by flights to the Stavropol Territory and Dagestan. The evacuation mechanism, Gladkov noted, has already been built.

The authorities made the decision to take the children out due to incessant shelling. From March 11 to March 17, 16 civilians were killed and 98 were injured in the Belgorod region. Another 5 people died on March 18, including a 17-year-old teenager.

It is planned that the children will stay in other regions for three weeks. But if necessary, the period can be extended until the end of the academic year.

About 500 children will go to Dagestan. There is no exact date of arrival yet, but the region is already preparing, Marina Ezhova, Commissioner for Children’s Rights of Dagestan, told IA Regnum.

The republic is ready to accept both children and older children. The age and characteristics of the children will be taken into account, says Ezhova: the school year is ongoing, so the trip should include not only rest, but also continued education.

This is not the first experience for Dagestan. The republic was previously visited by children from new regions of Russia and Palestinian refugees. The work scheme is well established, there is a list of “children’s locations” where the children feel as comfortable as possible.

“We are ready to receive the guys. Now everything depends on the Belgorod side. If they say tomorrow, we’ll accept it tomorrow,” notes Yezhova.

They place children in children's camps, sports and music boarding schools. But not only.

“We had a group of children with some disabilities. Naturally, they went to special sanatoriums under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health,” said the Commissioner for Children’s Rights of Dagestan.

Local residents are also ready to welcome children. Three years ago, the community “Community of Donbass” appealed to the regional authorities with a request to place children not in camps and boarding schools, but in families. This is how the “Hello Russia” project started.

“Older children came from new territories and lived with families for two weeks - from Derbent to Gorny Khunzakh. The boys dressed up in national costumes, the girls learned to cook Dagestan dishes. And if there is a good horseman, then you can get married,” Marina Ezhova laughs.

Any guest will be able to feel like a truly local - ride a horse, wear a burka.

In general, immersion in culture and familiarity with the traditions of the republic is a mandatory part of the program. And Dagestan has something to show and please: beautiful nature, hospitable people, tasty and satisfying food.

For Dagestanis, the arrival of guests is a reason to celebrate. Especially when there is an opportunity to help.

“Children should feel like ordinary, normal, happy kids who came to relax and have fun. These are our kids. It doesn’t matter where they are from: Russia, Syria or Palestine, these are children,” emphasizes Marina Ezhova.

She adds that I really want the trip to remain in the children’s memory as a bright, interesting adventure, and not as a forced temporary relocation.

‘Heaven's vengeance is slow but sure': New ICC president says Putin will answer for war crimes
[Jpost] The new International Criminal Court (ICC) president, Tomoko Akane, from Japan, expressed her belief that Russian President Vladimir Putin will face justice for war crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine, the Japanese newspaper Mainichi Shimbun reported on Wednesday, citing an interview the ICC judge gave to Kyodo News.

"Heaven’s vengeance is slow but sure," Akane reportedly said of Putin potentially standing trial.

The ICC announced 67-year-old Akane as the newly elected ICC president earlier this month, who will serve from 2024 to 2027. Akane was elected alongside ICC First Vice-President Judge Rosario Salvatore Aitala, from Italy, and ICC Second Vice-President Judge Reine Alapini-Gansau from Benin.

The article acknowledged the unlikelihood of Russia handing over Putin but said that the Russian president could be arrested if he entered any ICC states.

Putin called the Western bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999 unacceptable
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] What Western countries did to Yugoslavia in 1999 is unacceptable, since they actually started a war in the center of Europe. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated thisin the documentary film “Belgrade” on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

“What the West did is completely unacceptable. They started the war directly, in fact, in the center of Europe,” the head of state said.

The TV channel only showed the announcement of a film dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the events in Yugoslavia. It will be shown in full on March 24.

As Regnum reported, the head of the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" Mikhail Kovalchuk said on November 28, 2023 that the West hates Russia and Putin personally, who broke his strategy of dismembering the country to seize its natural resources. According to the expert, Western countries have already completely divided Russia and its resources, as they did with Yugoslavia.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in May 2023 that the West is cynically trying to blame Russia for violating international law, which it trampled on in Yugoslavia, Iraq and Libya. The Foreign Minister recalled that the West launched aggressive wars against these countries.

NATO launched an operation against Yugoslavia on March 24, 1999, under the pretext of preventing the supposedly possible “genocide” of the Albanian population in Kosovo. During this time, 3,000 cruise missiles were fired across the country and about 80,000 tons of bombs were dropped, including cluster bombs and depleted uranium bombs.

According to the Serbian side, between 3,500 and 4,000 people died as a result, two thirds of whom were civilians. After the bombing of Serbia with depleted uranium ammunition, about 30 thousand people fell ill with cancer in the country, of whom 10,000 to 18,000 died.

-Signs, Portents, and the Weather-
Kunstler Today-‘The two traditional political divisions, liberal and conservative died with Covid. Now there are simply the sane versus the insane’
”Those who organized the disaster will take advantage of the inevitable discontent arising from efforts to overcome it, for if there is one thing that they are skilled in, it is demagoguery.”
—Theodore Dalrymple

Can you feel it? The tension rising to the red-line? It runs clear through all of Western Civ. We are ruled by governments of fiends.
The problem started when they started "ruling" instead of "governing." Ruling is what Henry VIII did, when he wasn't trying to figure where his next nookie was coming from. Governing is attempting to referee among free men.
But now, the sun rides higher in the sky. The sap is rising in the northern forests. The earth heaves. The buds swell and blush. Something is in the air.
Look out! It's Boeing!
The animals are waking from their long winter sleep. The natives are restless.
Oom booga booga booga bub!
The two traditional political divisions, liberal and conservative died with Covid. Now there are simply the sane versus the insane. The sane have had enough of being pushed around by the insane. The insane don’t register much of what reality tries to tell them. They have a body of insane ideas to comfort and protect them from the reality’s rigors. To call that body of ideas an “ideology” is way too polite.
Leave us have a quick look at Theory, on the Left, with its eye on the pie and its hand on your wallet, and practice...
That the insane call themselves “progressive,” is a signature of their insanity. Progress toward what better state of things? Toward a supremacy of fiends, sadists, degenerates, and morons seizing riches and power by every dishonest means possible outside the rule of law and common decency? It’s not even suitable to call them “communists.” They lack the necessary idealism for that. They don’t expect to put their shoulders to the wheel with their fellow man. They just want to grab your stuff and then kill you so they don’t have to hear any complaints.
They're not stroking your butt. They're picking your pocket.
The insane do not believe any of the theoretical bullshit they want to force you to swallow. They don’t care about climate change. It’s just a cudgel they use to beat everyone over the head so they can steal your stuff. They don’t care about “democracy.” It’s just a line of bullshit to cover up their election-stealing. Do you suppose that sane people would keep using electronic vote-tabulating machines that were demonstrably connected to the Internet, and thus hackable, if they cared about election integrity? Of course not. They would arrange p.d.q. to junk them and use paper ballots, and only in person at polling places, with “absentee” exceptions only for people out of the country.
And the bedridden to be fair. With a neutral witness.
The insane do not care about public health. Everything that is known about the Covid-19 vaccinations tells you that they are unsafe and don’t prevent infection or transmission of a flu-like illness that might not even be what it was officially labeled as. Our public health officials in the FDA, the CDC, and in other corners of the Department of health and Human Services, lie about everything they’re responsible for.
Does anyone still have an expectation of competence from the demonstrably incompetent? If you're incompetent on Monday, I'm guessing you're still incompetent on Wednesday.
This week, the CDC (under Director Mandy Cohen) released a 148-page study on myocarditis reactions to mRNA shots. Every word on every page of the document was redacted. The CDC printed countless copies of the report with 148 utterly blank pages, and then proffered them to the news media. How is that not insane?
Padded cell-level insane.
The insane do not care about the rule of law. The conduct of “Lawfare” is the subversion of the law by dishonest means. It is a species of racketeering. And that is why Lawfare rogues such Marc Elias, Norm Eisen, Andrew Weissmann, Mary McCord, Lisa Monaco, Matthew Graves, and Merrick Garland, should be charged under the federal RICO statutes for conspiring to deprive sane citizens of their rights and property in the many cases related to the 1/6/21 riot at the US Capitol.
Obama proposed Garland for the Supremes as a "respected jurist" who, really, truly, had once read the Constitution.
It is, so far, an abiding mystery of contemporary history as to how New York Attorney General Letitia James managed to get away with prosecuting a real estate case against Donald Trump that was no more than victimless business-as-usual between a borrower and his lenders. Ms. James ran for that elected office promising to “get” Mr. Trump on something, anything. That is not how the rule of law works. Under the rule of law, first you determine that there is a crime and then look for who did the crime.

Letitia James must be insane and/or pretty stupid. The short-term gain of stealing Mr. Trump’s property under a false color-of-law and creating impediments to his election campaign, will, sooner or later, blow back at her as a matter of malicious prosecution and, plausibly, racketeering as well. (With whom did she conspire to bring this case? We shall find out.) She will eventually be disgraced publicly as her teammate Fani Willis has already been disgraced in Fulton County, Georgia. I’ll tell you something that all sane people now know but won’t talk about for fear of being crushed by the levers of Lawfare: this looks like a concerted effort by people-of-color to railroad people of non-color. If you think that is a good thing for race relations in our country, then you are insane.
Since I'm a racist, I'm getting tired of seeing hulking black people shooting, stabbing, pounding on, raping, and otherwise murdering whites, Asians, Hispanics, Indian, Hindoos, and probably Tahitians and Antarticans. I know very well that there are lots of honest and intelligent black people. I also know that they're outnumbered, probably vastly, by the crooks, scoundrels, and sadists who prey upon them and us. I should probably cease reading the Nigerian press, looking at South Africa and Zim-bob-we, the Sahel states, and most of the rest of the continent. They look too much like Blue American cities.
Here are a bunch of other things that are insane: Re-litigating the first amendment is insane. It means what it says, and states it plainly. The open border is insane. No credible sovereign polity would allow it. It would be opposed with force, if necessary.
As in deadly force. But the people in favor of open borders down Mejico way are the same people who would be happy to welcome fraternal Soviet Russian assistance to throw of the Nazi oligarchists who might beat the virtuous Dems some election or other.
Turning children into transsexuals on a wholesale basis is insane, and fiendishly so.
Oh, who doesn't want their sons to avoid being eunuchs, their daughters to be feminine and fertile? Besides me, of course. Everybody knows I'm just an old crank.
Everybody knows that it is not good for the children or for our society as a whole. But fiends got to fiend, and if you try to deprive them of being fiends then you are guilty of “hate.”
Which, recall, is different from "hatred." You have to feel "hatred" yourself. Your "hate" can easily be diagnosed by a college freshman from seven hundred miles away, saving you the effort.
The war in Ukraine is insane. We certainly didn’t ignite it in the service of “democracy.”
Ummm... We didn't ignite it.
"The fraternal Soviets Russians are gonna invade you in the spring," we kept telling the Ukes.
"Shuddup," they kept telling us. "We can handle this."
The fraternal Soviets Russians invaded, to "de-Nazify" the place right on schedule, like it was their business.
"Give us money!" the Ukes said. "Give us weaponry. Give us money!"
"Shuddup," said the fraternal Soviets Russians.
Remember, this is the same nation of geniuses who told the Russers back in '92 or '93 that they'd get rid of all the nukes in their country and the Russians could guarantee their security in return. But that was all such a long time ago, and we were all so much younger then. Some of us hadn't even been conceived yet!

Our pawn there, Mr. Zelensky, canceled the national elections last year.
Weren't they being invaded?
The war was arguably an effort by our CIA to deprive Russia of its market for natgas in Europe, and thus deprive Russia of a great deal of money, that is, of prosperity.
Of course, it's also arguable that had nothing to do with it, or it was a fairly remote side effect. Be careful about giving the CIA too much credit. They're civil servants. Don't expect competence from them. Be surprised if it shows up. Those 57 dipshits that signed the letter about Hunter's laptop may well have thought they were right. I'm positive they thought they were correct in the lies they were puking even if the rest of us could smell the turds on their breath. I mean, history's on their side, right?
The project failed. Russia overcame NATO’s proxy army and found other markets for its gas. Blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines only served to impoverish and weaken our NATO allies, who no longer have affordable gas to run their industries. The leaders of those allies were too insane to recognize that the Nord Stream op was an act-of-war against them. They were also busy destroying themselves, like the USA, with open borders. They will end up in a new medievalism, ruled by savages. You’d have to be insane to arrange that for yourself.
I can agree with the lunacy part. I see the Ukes standing with their fingers in the dike, which means we're not really in agreement.
What’s most obviously insane in our country is that the insane party is pretending to nominate the mentally unfit White House place-keeper, “Joe Biden,” for reelection.
According to actuarial charts, he should be waking up dead any time now.
You would think that if this party wanted to retain power, they would run a candidate who, though insane, was not also visibly senile. But the rank and file of this party are too insane to see that this dodge is not working. They are pretending with all their might that this is okay, that the growing faction of the sane don’t notice.
Watch the Dem VP nominee. If it's Willie Brown's old mistress, they're totally nuts.
Sensing the growing impatience with insanity among the voters, the insane party has reached its point of terminal desperation. What will they try next? Murder? Why not? Nothing else seemed to work. They are too far gone in their insanity to understand that winter is over. We’ve entered the season of rebirth and renewal, starting with a renewed appreciation for being sane and for that indispensable ingredient that makes liberty in a free society possible: good faith. Really, the only question left is: how rough do they intend to play to prevent the return of sanity and good faith?

US attorney to prosecute ring leaders from migrant stampede in El Paso where SIX HUNDRED illegal border crossers stormed Texas National Guard troops

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Federal authorities are seeking criminal charges for about a dozen illegal immigrants colonists who led a wild and chaotic riot at the border in El Paso, Texas Thursday and were identified via law enforcement cameras, DailyMail.com can reveal.

At least one migrant will face charges for assaulting a Texas National Guard member during the incident, where troops tried to stop a mob of migrants colonists from reaching the border wall Thursday, federal sources speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
told DailyMail.com.

'Those people weren't trying to peacefully enter the country; they were storming the gates,' Texas Congressman Tony Gonzales, who represents east El Paso said in a phone interview Friday.

'What do you think they're going to do when they're released all over the country?'

The migrants colonists had attempted to storm the border Wednesday night, throwing rocks at Texas National Guard members, but ended up dispersing, another source explained.

Images of the bedlam showed 600 migrants colonists first climbing over a triple layer of razor wire and then pushing past and overpowering national guard members who tried to stop them.

Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, Israel's main military spokesperson, said special forces units had used "deception tactics" to surprise the fighters and had severely damaged Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Among the detainees were three senior Islamic Jihad military commanders and two Hamas officials responsible for operations in the occupied West Bank as well as other Hamas internal security officials.

"Those who did not surrender to our forces fought against our forces and were eliminated," Hagari told a briefing late on Thursday, during which he displayed a composite picture of what were described as detainees.

Pakistani court sentences woman to life in prison for burning pages from Quran
[IsraelTimes] Moslem woman denied the charge amid accusations that blasphemy
...the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence to a deity, or sacred objects, or toward something considered sacred or inviolable. Some religions consider it to be a crime. In Pakistain you can commit blasphemy by looking cross-eyed at a Koran...
allegations often used to intimidate religious minorities and to settle personal scores

A Pak court sentenced a Moslem woman to life in prison after finding her guilty of burning pages of Islam’s holy book, a prosecutor said Friday.

Under Pakistain’s blasphemy laws, anyone found guilty of insulting the religion or religious figures can be sentenced to death. While authorities have yet to carry out a death sentence
...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead...
for blasphemy, just the accusation can provoke riots.

Government prosecutor Mohazib Awais said the woman, Aasiya Bibi, was arrested in 2021 on blasphemy charges after residents claimed she desecrated the Koran by burning its pages. Awais said the judge announced the verdict Wednesday in the eastern city of Lahore. He said Bibi, who has the right to appeal, had denied the charge during her trial.

Gisele Bundchen confesses surviving a lethal accident
[GEO.TV] Gisele Bundchen reportedly survived a life-threatening event more than 20 years ago.
Note to Geo.tv. Look up definition of "lethal." Normally you "confess" to a sin or a violation of law, possibly a secret. You "recount" or maybe "tell a story about" a brush with death.
On Thursday, the Brazilian beauty marked her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Betcha both viewers were breathless.
During this appearance, the fashion mogul played a game of True Confessions, where she had to answer a series of true and false statements.
How would we know if she lied?
In this game, Gisele encountered a card which read, "I did a photo shoot on a fake iceberg in Iceland, and I almost fell off into the ocean."
Hey! I think I've had that card!.... Ummm... No.... Nope. I didn't, on second thought. Never mind. Something else entirely. It wasn't even a game, and the bitch's been dead for years. At least I hope so!
In response, Gisele confessed, "I would have been dead in seconds because you know what happens when you fall inside of the freezing water of the iceberg?” adding, “In seconds, you're dead. Dead!"
Ummm... In seconds your metabolism slows down. People have been hauled out as much as a half hour later and lived.
Spilling the beans, the ex-wife of Tom Brady stated, "It was for this fragrance called Oxygene. You got to Google it. You can see it actually. It's on the internet.”
You have to buy some to smell it though.
“It's called Oxygene, (that) was the name of the fragrance," she went on to mention.
Did she get paid for the plug?
"So the whole thing, I was supposed to be in this slip dress while everyone was in a boat, like, all the crew was in a boat with like huge puffer jackets and life vests and I was in this slip dress (inhaling the air),” the 43-year-old also observed.
I don't wear slip dresses, but if I did, on an iceberg, I'da been inhaling the air too. I'da also had my head examined.
Wrapping up the discussion, she disclosed, “But I'm alive so thank God I'm here."
But if it had really been lethal as advertised she'd be elsewhere.

Resident of Ingushetia detained for aiding militants
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited

It's ISIS.

[KavkazUzel] Security forces detained a resident of the village of Alkhasty, who is suspected of aiding the militants killed in Karabulak, in particular, of pawning a cache of weapons previously discovered near the village.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, on March 11, on the outskirts of the village of Alkhasty, Sunzhensky district, a cache of food and medicine was discovered, which allegedly belonged to the militant Tagir Tsuroyev. Security forces killed him during a counter-terrorism operation in Karabulak.

A resident of the Sunzhensky district of Ingushetia was suspected of storing and transferring weapons and ammunition to members of a terrorist cell led by Amirakhan Gurazhev, Interfax reported, citing the republic's law enforcement agencies.

According to security officials, a 33-year-old resident of the village of Alkhasty in January 2024, on Tsurov’s instructions, pawned a cache of firearms and ammunition near the village, knowing that Tsurov was a member of a terrorist organization.

“Acting as part of a group of people by prior conspiracy, the young man ensured their safety and handed them over to members of a terrorist cell led by Amirakhan Gurazhev,” the agency’s interlocutor said. The detainee is being held in the temporary detention center of the Nazran police. He is suspected of aiding terrorists (Part 5 of Article 33 and Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and illegal trafficking in weapons (Part 3 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), and a criminal case has been opened against the detainee under the article on illegal trafficking in explosives (Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code RF), indicated in the message.

Let us remind you that on March 3, during the counter-terrorism operation (CTO) in Karabulak, security forces killed six suspected militants. On March 5, sources reported that Amirkhan Gurazhev, Zelimkhan Tsuroev, Magomed Barkinkhoev, Tagir Tsuroev, Mikail Tutaev and Bers Chemurziev were killed. No losses among security forces were officially reported; according to Kommersant, five FSB officers were injured during the counter-terrorism operation in Karabulak.

On the evening of March 2, a counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced in one of the blocks in the center of Karabulak. The National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) reported that the militants, while trying to detain them, opened fire on the security forces, a shootout ensued, and residents of nearby houses were evacuated. On March 3, NAC announced that   six Islamic State militants were killed in the shootout, three of whom were on the federal wanted list. The "Caucasian Knot" has prepared a report " How the special operation took place in Karabulak.
