Protesters clash with Jordanian police at Israeli embassy in Amman for second day
[IsraelTimes] Jordanian police are clashing with pro-Paleostinian protesters in Amman for the second day in a row near the Israeli embassy, according to unverified reports on social media.

Videos posted online show coppers dispersing crowds of protesters.

Other footage appears to show a large crowd of pro-Paleostinian protesters marching in the direction of the Israeli embassy.

Yesterday, Jordanian riot police fired tear gas to push back hundreds of demonstrators marching on the Israeli embassy in Amman in protest of the war in Gazoo

The Israeli embassy, where protesters gather daily, has long been a flashpoint of anti-Israel protests at times of turmoil in Gaza and the West Bank. Israeli ambassador Amir Weissbrod has been in Israel since leaving for security reasons in the wake of the October 7 massacre.

US Central Command: 46,000 meals airdropped into northern Gaza today

earlier today, US Central Command announces.

"The Defense Department humanitarian airdrops contribute to ongoing US and partner-nation government efforts to alleviate human suffering. These airdrops are part of a sustained effort, and we continue to plan follow-on aerial deliveries," CENTCOM says.

Some 250,000 to 300,000 Paleostinians are believed to be living in this part of the Strip despite an IDF directive for civilians to evacuate at the beginning of the war.

The area is largely cut off to prevent a Hamas

resurgence in zones already cleared by the army.

With the center of the humanitarian operation located in the southern Gaza border city of Rafah, where most of the Strip’s two million civilians are sheltering, those in the north have had extremely limited access to aid for months.

#1  Oct 7 massacre survivors detained, berated by UK border police
The officers allegedly said that they had to detain and interrogate the survivors for two hours because "they had to make sure that you are not going to do what you are doing in Gaza over there."

So, British policy haven't changed all that much since the Mandate days - when they imported million+ Arabs into Palestine.

#4  All while according to several charitable groups.

They game the system. Their polling is no different than political polling with rigged questions. They ask people have you ever been hungry? Everyone has been hungry sometimes. As recently as last year when I had to prepare for a colonoscopy. There are plenty of federal, state, and local programs, funding, and services that no one has to go hungry. Some still do because the systems of access or delivery are opaque to them.

As for the airdrops, much of it will end up on the local 'market' where the usual miscreants will profit off the people its intended for.

Photo said to show kids’ bedroom in Gaza where Liri Albag, other hostages were held
[IsraelTimes] UK report says soldiers found traces of blood in room matching female captives; ’It’s the equivalent of me keeping someone else’s children locked in my house,’ says Liri’s mother

A British newspaper released an exclusive image on Monday showing what it said was a children’s bedroom in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. terror group in their first few days in captivity.

According to The Daily Mail report, soldiers identified traces of blood in the room, which, following DNA tests, were confirmed to be from Albag and other female hostages.

Photos of the room, which was seen to contain children’s toys and a pink wardrobe, were shared by soldiers with the newspaper.

"At first when I saw it, I was happy because she was in a child’s room. There were kids clothes in the cupboard and it gave me a little relief that she wasn’t in a scary place," Albag’s mother, Shira, told the Mail.

"But then I understood that she is with a family — they kidnapped her, not Hamas. It’s the equivalent of me keeping someone else’s children locked in my house," she added.

Speaking with the Kan public broadcaster last week, Shira Albag said released hostages had told her that Liri was forced to go between families’ homes in the Gaza Strip and cook and clean for them.

Shira last heard from her daughter at 6:30 a.m. on October 7, when Albag reported that she was in a field shelter in Nahal Oz, trying to avoid the rocket barrage. She thought her daughter had ended up in one of the hospitals, and went to Soroka in Beersheba to try and find her. When she arrived back home, Albag’s boyfriend showed her a Telegram video posted by Hamas, in which they were able to identify her being kidnapped.

In total, 253 hostages were taken by Hamas-led bully boyz during the terror group’s October 7 massacre, 130 of whom are still held in Gaza. Most female captives were released as part of a truce deal in November, but 19 women are still held, among them IDF soldiers, in addition to two very young children, one of them an infant.

IDF: Hamas gunnies destroying Shifa - firing from ER, maternity ward
[IsraelTimes] Israel rejects responsibility as terror group claims 13 patients have died because of IDF raid; Hamas admits key operatives killed, nabbed at hospital; 8 rockets fired at Ashdod

The Israel Defense Forces on Monday accused Hamas
...the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
button men of firing at troops from Shifa Hospital’s emergency room, maternity and burn wards, as the terror group claimed patients were dying due to the ongoing military operation in the facility.

"Right now, Hamas and Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
murderous Moslems are barricading themselves inside Shifa hospital wards. Hamas is destroying Shifa Hospital," IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said in an English-language video statement. "Hamas is firing from inside the Shifa emergency room and maternity ward and throwing bombs from the Shifa burn ward. Terrorists hiding around the hospital fired mortars at our forces, causing extensive damage to the hospital buildings."

The IDF said the number of confirmed members of Hamas and Paleostinian Islamic Jihad captured by troops at the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. City medical center had risen to 500, out of over 800 suspects arrested since the raid began last week.

Hamas has said that at least 13 patients have died during the ongoing IDF raid, alleging that they were deprived of medication or that their ventilators stopped working after Israeli forces cut hospital electricity, The New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

reported.

International law stipulates that while a medical facility is a protected site in conflict, it loses that status if it is used for military activity. Israel has offered evidence Hamas uses such facilities as cover for terror purposes and says the group plunders humanitarian aid to take supplies for its fighters, depriving the civilian population.

Israel has said those arrested at Shifa include several "very significant" senior Hamas and PIJ commanders. Seemingly confirming that, an unnamed Hamas official told Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
’s al-Akhbar newspaper that the significance of commanders from the group who were tossed into the calaboose or killed during the operation should not be underestimated.

"Nobody should underestimate the size of the infiltration carried out by the enemy army at al-Shifa Hospital, nor underestimate the importance of the figures who were arrested or executed," the source told the outlet linked to the Hezbollah terror group.

However,
if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well...
the source asserted that "the resistance dealt with the current situation and was able to reshape its ranks, given the possibility that the enemy would obtain new information as a result of the investigation of the detainees. There are indications that the resistance is still fine and that all the current losses can be absorbed and lived with."

Paleostinians living near the hospital have reported hellish conditions, including corpses in the streets, constant bombardment and the rounding up of men, who are stripped to their underwear and questioned.

In his statement, Hagari said, "170 murderous Moslems were neutralized in or around the Shifa Hospital compound while firing at our forces. The IDF apprehended hundreds of terror suspects with confirmed ties to Hamas or Islamic Jihad, making this one of the most successful operations since the start of the war."

"A large number of these murderous Moslems were involved in planning and executing the brutal massacre of October 7," he said.

Hagari said the operation "is not over."

Appearing to respond to Hamas’s accusations of mistreatment toward patients, Hagari said the IDF "operates with precision and acts with care toward the patients and medical staff inside the hospital."

"We do this because we distinguish between Hamas murderous Moslems and the civilians they are hiding behind," he said.

By contrast, he said, "I repeat: Hamas is firing mortars at Shifa Hospital. Hamas is destroying Shifa Hospital. Hamas hijacked Shifa Hospital and hides behind the sick and injured, waging war from inside Shifa Hospital."

ROCKETS AT ASHDOD
As fighting raged throughout the Gaza Strip, a barrage of eight rockets was fired from the enclave at Ashdod on Monday afternoon, with Hamas claiming responsibility for the attack.

Two of the rockets were intercepted, while the rest apparently struck open areas, the IDF said.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

Rocket attacks from Gaza on Israeli towns have become rare amid Israeli gains in the war. The last time rockets were fired at Ashdod, some 25 kilometers from the Strip, was on January 14.

FIGHTING THROUGHOUT GAZA
Meanwhile,
...back at the laboratory the smoke and fumes had dispersed, to reveal an ominous sight...
the army denied some media reports Monday claiming there had been an infiltration into Israeli territory from Gaza.

"IDF forces are deployed and prepared in the area," the IDF added.

In the southern Strip, the IDF said troops killed some 20 button men during an ongoing and new offensive against Hamas in Khan Younis’s al-Amal neighborhood, led by the 98th Division.

The military said dozens of suspects were questioned by field interrogators of the Shin Bet security agency and the Military Intelligence Directorate’s Unit 504, as the IDF enabled hundreds of civilians to evacuate the al-Amal area.

In central Gaza, the IDF said the Nahal Brigade killed several terror operatives, including one who was targeted in an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
after being spotted entering and exiting a tunnel.

Over the past day, Israeli Air Force fighter jets targeted some 50 sites across the Strip, according to the IDF. Attack helicopters and drones struck several more targets and killed some 10 button men, the army added.

Rafah, the last refuge for over a million Paleostinians on the Gaza Strip’s southern border with Egypt, was among cities that came under fire in the latest strikes.

Paleostinian medics said 30 people had been killed in the previous 24 hours in Rafah, whose population has been swollen by displaced Paleostinians escaping fighting elsewhere in Gaza after more than five months of war. The numbers cannot be independently verified.

"Every bombing that takes place in Rafah, we fear the tanks will come in. The past 24 hours were one of the worst days since we moved into Rafah," said Abu Khaled, a father of seven, who declined to give his full name for fear of reprisals.

Israeli officials have said Rafah is Hamas’s last major stronghold in Gaza, with four active battalions. It insists that a ground offensive in Rafah is crucial to the goal of eliminating Hamas and will take place after civilians are safely evacuated, but has yet to provide details on where they are meant to go.

"In Rafah, we live in fear, we are hungry, we are homeless and our future is unknown. With no ceasefire in sight, we might end up dead or displaced somewhere else, maybe north and maybe south [to Egypt]," he told Rooters via a chat app.

Dozens of Paleostinians took part in rallies and attended funerals early on Monday after an Israeli airstrike killed 18 Paleostinians in one house in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, Paleostinian medics and witnesses said.

’UNIMAGINABLE’ SITUATION AT EUROPEAN GAZA HOSPITAL
Aid groups released a statement Monday after they visited the European Gaza Hospital near Khan Younis, where they witnessed an "unimaginable" situation in which patients with large open wounds were left untreated.

An emergency medical team organized by three aid groups spent two weeks carrying out surgeries and other care at the medical center.

The team charged that Israeli restrictions had led to shortages of medical supplies, including basics like gauze and plates and screws used to stabilize broken bones.

Israel insists that there are no limits to the amount of inspected aid whose entry into Gaza it is willing to facilitate and that the United Nations
...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks...
is failing to keep pace, while Hamas and gangs divert assistance from civilians. The UN says aid distribution has become incredibly difficult amid the fighting.

The visiting surgeons "reported large infected open wounds on patients and having to administer emergency nutritional supplies to patients as the lack of food was jeopardizing patient treatment."

Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun to step down amid mounting safety crisis

[GEO.TV] Dave Calhoun, Boeing’s current CEO, will reportedly resign by December after scandals regarding the quality of the airline's safety, BBC reported.

This development is in line with the six month term given to Stan Deal, who serves as the commercial airlines division head, and Larry Kellner who has no intention of running for the chairman seat.

The aviation major faces scrutiny after a potential issue in January when old door blown off a Boeing 737 Max shortly after the take-off, which compared to renewed inspections of the company's safety and quality standards.

If QA is problem on the line, you move your desk to the floor and work there walking the line, not sit at your desk 2000 miles away. It's real hard for first and second line managers to send glad and happy reports when you are there physically.

#7  Ok, my two cents. I was at Boeing when he took over. Lived a couple years under his plans. When he took over I commented that when a CFO type takes over an engineering company, which Boeing is, it spells the slow death of the company. We saw this freight train derail years ago where engineering does not lead the decisions, but the balance sheet and making margins rules the day. The outsourcing, commodity managing of parts, selling off manufacturing capability and then contracting it back all spell loss of control, engineering control, for a lower price to the company bottom line.

The real answer will be in who they replace him with on a permanent basis. If they put another CFO type into the top seat, the company will be lost.

Swiss authorities: Suspect in antisemitic stabbing was radicalized online, in Tunisia
[IsraelTimes] A teenager who allegedly stabbed an Orthodox Jewish man in Switzerland
...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell...
was radicalized in Tunisia and online, Zurich’s regional security minister says.

Investigations into the March 2 attack are progressing at a swift pace, Mario Fehr says during a press briefing on cantonal crime statistics.

The 15-year-old suspect grabbed credit for the attack in a video in Arabic in which he pledged allegiance to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. The boy is a Tunisian immigrant who was naturalized in Switzerland in 2011.

"There is a strong link with Tunisia," where the teenager spent four years between 2017 and 2021, Fehr says, according to Switzerland’s Keystone-ATS news agency.

An important factor in his radicalization was also the amount of time he spent on internet forums, says Fehr, who heads the Zurich cantonal administration.

Hamas official targeted in Lebanon ‘escaped’ Israeli strike — security source
[IsraelTimes] A Hamas

official allegedly targeted in an Israeli dronezap yesterday "escaped" the attempted liquidation, according to a Lebanese security source.

Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel.
’s official National News Agency says yesterday’s strike near the village of Souairi in the Bekaa Valley killed a Syrian civilian in his vehicle.

The security source, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, tells AFP that the Hamas official was traveling along the same road.

"A Hamas official was targeted by the Israeli drone attack on Sunday but escaped," says the source, without naming the official.

The strike in the Souairi area, near Lebanon’s border with Syria, was the first alleged Israeli attack there in nearly six months of fighting.

Another security source says yesterday’s pre-dawn Israeli strikes maimed four people, including a Hezbollah member, in Baalbek, further north in the Bekaa Valley.

South African politician has been accused of taking a wig as bribe

[GEO.TV] South African prosecutors announced their intention on Monday to charge the parliamentary speaker with corruption, alleging that she accepted $135,000 (£107,000) and a wig in bribes during her tenure as defence minister over a span of three years.

Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, the present Speaker of the National Assembly, has not been yet been handed to the police or formally charged with the colonel Dlamini-Zuma issue.

During a trial hearing prosecutors put forward their allegations, which Mapisa-Nqakula challenged on the grounds that the enforcement staff failed to communicate the accusations to her in good time or to adhere to the rightful procedures.

To add to that, she was also accused of another bribe of amount $105 thousand but was not received. While mentioning one specific case of the papers, it is about Mapisa-Nqakula receiving $15,000 and wig inside the country's major international airport (January 2019).

Shin Bet says it foiled Iranian plan to smuggle advanced weapons to West Bank terrorists
[IsraelTimes] The Shin Bet security agency reveals that it recently foiled attempts by Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
to smuggle large shipments of advanced weapons to terror operatives in the West Bank to be used to carry out attacks on Israeli targets.

According to the Shin Bet, behind the plot was Iran’s unit 4000, the Special Operations Division of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps’ Intelligence Organization, headed by Jawad Ghafari, and the special operations unit of the IRGC’s Quds Force in Syria, known as unit 18840, which is subordinate to the head of Iran’s unit 840, Asghar Bakri.

The plot was uncovered by the Shin Bet and IDF during the interrogations of detained Paleostinians, who were suspected of planning terror attacks.

The investigation also revealed that a senior Fatah official, Munir Makdah, a resident of Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. ’s Ein el-Hilweh Paleostinian refugee camp, was involved in the plans, the Shin Bet says.

Makdah, according to the Shin Bet, has been known to Israel for years as "working for Hezbollah and the IRGC, and continues to try and advance terror attacks these days."

During the interrogation of the detained Paleostinian suspects, the Shin Bet says it emerged that Makdah worked to recruit West Bank Paleostinians to carry out terror attacks and smuggle in Iranian weapons, as well as fund them.

The Shin Bet says the IDF captured a "significant" amount of advanced arms from Iran that were smuggled into the West Bank, as part of the investigation into Makdah and the Iranian plot.

Among the weapons captured were two large BTB15 fragmentation bombs, five YM-2 anti-tank landmines with fuses, four M203 grenade launchers, 15 kilograms of C4 explosives, 10 kilograms of Semtex plastic explosives, 13 shoulder-launched anti-tank missiles, 15 RPG launchers, 16 RPG-7 rockets and propellent, 15 hand grenades, 33 M4 assault rifles and 50 handguns.

The Shin Bet says it and the IDF are working to locate additional Iranian weapons smuggled into the West Bank, as well as kill or capture terror cells recruited by Iranian operatives.

PTI moves to lodge FIR against PML-N's Sanaullah for 'threatening to kill Imran Khan'
[GEO.TV] The PTI Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
chapter leadership approached the Sir Syed Town Police Station to register a first information report (FIR) against ruling PML-N’s big shot Rana Sanaullah for allegedly issuing "death threats" to former prime minister Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree...
.

In his recent two interviews with local TV channels, the former PML-N government’s security czar reportedly termed Khan’s political existence as a "problem".

The PTI, however, sees his remarks as a "demand" for Khan’s liquidation. Amid the PTI’s allegations, Sanaullah clarified that he was talking about the "political existence" of Khan. He further said that did not issue any death threat to the life of the PTI founder.

"The matter will be resolved immediately if he [Khan] quits politics or gives up his certain political thinking under which he says ’I will not leave anyone’ and 'everybody is dacoit and looter'," he added.

According to a spokesperson of the former ruling party, PTI Karachi chapter Vice President Tehmas Ali has submitted an application to the Sir Syed cop shoppe for lodging an FIR against Sanaullah for allegedly giving "death threats" to the PTI founder during a TV show.

On the other hand, the police official said that a local leader of the PTI accompanied by his lawyer reached the cop shoppe yesterday night to lodge an FIR against the PML-N leader.

"[The police officials] did not receive the application as the matter does not come under our jurisdiction," the officials added.

The PTI leaders were asked to approach the relevant forum, the police officials said.

Addressing a presser in Islamabad earlier in the day, PTI leader Raoof Hasan said that his party’s core committee decided to lodge cases against PML-N leaders Sanaullah and Marriyum Aurangzeb for hurling threats at the former prime minister.

"An attempt was made to lodge a case against Rana Sanaullah earlier today but the police did not register it."

He further said that they would approach all the cop shoppes to file the cases, adding that they would move the court if the cases were not registered by the police. He also complained about the slow pace of court proceedings on cases against the PTI founder.

Expressing his distrust, he urged the Islamabad High Court (IHC) chief justice to disassociate himself from cases related to the PTI founder.

Sheer power struggle within PTI may lead to its disintegration: info minister
[GEO.TV] Referring to the "internal strife" in the Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf

Addressing a presser in Islamabad on Monday, Tarar said that top PTI leaders like Gohar Ali Khan and Sher Afzal Khan are taking contradictory stances on different issues. He regretted the "childish attitude" put up by the PTI which is a national party.

He advised the PTI leaders to shun their internal politics and play its due role in strengthening the economy.

Lambasting the PTI, the federal minister said sometimes they wrote a letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), but sometimes asked the European Union

If they had any complaint, they should knock the door of the Election Commission of Pakistain (ECP) or Election Tribunals, he said.

He said once they were accusing the United States of toppling the PTI government, now they had hired lobbying firms in Washington.

The info minister said that American diplomat Donald Lu had called the PTI founder as a "certified liar".

to fight starvation, saying there was a growing international consensus to tell Israel a ceasefire is needed in its war on Hamas
...the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
Speaking on a visit to Jordan, Guterres said he also saw a growing consensus for telling Israel that any ground invasion of Rafah, Gaza's southernmost town on the Egyptian border, could mean a humanitarian disaster.

Israel should lift all obstacles to aid into Gaze and allow convoys of the UN Paleostinian refugee agency UNRWA into northern Gaza where starvation is looming, Guterres said.

"It is absolutely essential to have a massive supply of humanitarian aid now. This means opening more entry points, this means a concentration of efforts of all entities and without obstacles and limitations from the Israeli side," Guterres said.

During a tour of a centre in Jordan's Wihdat camp where UNRWA provides health and education services, the top UN official said that the agency was a lifeline of hope and dignity for millions of refugees across the region.

"The decision not to allow UNRWA'S convoys to go to northern Gaza where we have a dramatic starvation situation is totally unacceptable and those that took that decision must assume the responsibility facing history of the consequences of the decision," Guterres added.

For the first time in British history, the royal estate in Berkshire welcomed guests for lftar after sunset on the castle grounds.

Before the Iftar, which is the fast-breaking evening meal for Muslims during the ninth month called Ramadan, guests enjoyed a tour of the State Apartments at Windsor Castle.

Co-hosted by Royal Collection Trust and Ramadan Tent Project, they welcomed guests of any faith to join in.

Tiny backwater town in North Carolina will help fuel world's AI revolution - with enough quartz to power entire $530bn semi-conductor global industry
[Daily Mail, where America get its news] A desolate North Carolina town is now set to become a powerhouse for the world's AI revolution.

Sibelco's mines have been extracting quartz in Spruce Pine since the 1970s but its $500 million investment between now and 2027 will fuel the global demand for semiconductors, a market worth $530bn but that is expected to soar as AI becomes more prominent.

High-purity quartz is a vital component of building semiconductor chips which helps AI-powered software to process large amounts of data quickly and accurately and is used in cellphones, laptops, and other electronic devices.

The quartz must be high-purity because if there are any imperfections, it can hinder the effectiveness, speed and accuracy of the semiconductors.

Spruce Pine is a small town nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, northwest of Charlotte, and houses a population of 2,200 people, down from 2,700 residents in 2018.

Sibelco claimed the enlarged mining area will create valuable new jobs in North Carolina and 'will ensure that Spruce Pine remains the world's leading source of HPQ.'

The global quartz market value reached $8.5 billion in 2022 and is expected to reach nearly $18.7 billion by 2031, with China topping other countries as the largest customer.

Spruce Pine is the only known place in the US that can fulfill the growing need for semiconductor chips which is increasing by an annual rate of 5.6 percent.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Female influencer, 46, claims she does not have 'pedophilic tendencies' - as the six chilling words she said before raping 14-year-old boy are revealed
"She then forced the teen to engage in oral and penetrative sex."
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A social media influencer who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy twice in one night has 'no sexual interest in children', a court has been told.

The 46-year-old woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was jailed earlier this month for two counts of aggravated sexual intercourse with a child under 16 years old. A jury found she had climbed into bed with the teenager on an evening in mid-2021 and kissed him.

'Don't tell your father about this,' the woman told her victim before taking off his clothes and undressing herself.

She then forced the teen to engage in oral and penetrative sex.

On March 1, Judge Sarah Hopkins sentenced the influencer to at least 18 months in jail with a maximum of three years behind bars.

However, the judge told a NSW District Court on Tuesday she had omitted part of her judgment during sentencing proceedings. She amended the record by clarifying she had relied on expert opinions that the influencer had a 'low risk of reoffending'. Judge Hopkins highlighted the conclusion of forensic psychologist Stephen Woods that there was no evidence the 46-year-old woman had 'pedophilic tendencies'.

'Professor Woods (found) she had no sexual interest in children,' she said.

The influencer was three times older than her victim when she snuck into a bed and raped him in the middle of the night.

Judge Hopkins determined the woman had 'good prospects of rehabilitation' because 'the offences were isolated' and she had committed to abstaining from drugs and alcohol.

During the sentencing, the judge accepted the sexual assailant had been experiencing a 'complex combination of comorbid (mental) disorders' at the time of the rape.

'In all probability, it was symptomatically acute at the time of the offending,' she said.

The court heard the woman had previously sought treatment for an eating disorder, anxiety disorder and adjustment disorder.

'In light of my findings as to the connection between the offending and the offender's mental issues, I accept the offender's moral culpability is reduced,' Judge Hopkins said on Tuesday.
No.
She also found there was justification for a longer parole period due to the onerous conditions of custody for the influencer, who had been subjected to 'threats and harassment' behind bars.

The 46-year-old is likely to remain in protective custody for the remaining length of her sentence due to her profile and the offences she committed. She will be eligible for release in less than a year, on February 26, 2025. Earlier this month, her lawyer confirmed the 46-year-old woman will appeal her conviction.

A few days after sexually assaulting him, the court heard the influencer told the teen to 'just keep this quiet for a bit'.

Yet in a lawfully tapped phone call a year later, the 46-year-old laughingly admitted her attraction towards the 14-year-old boy.

'I started loving you so much (that) I got it confused, like, I started getting attracted to you,' she told him.

'You're a man now. You're not a boy, you're obviously a man.'

The information obtained through FOIA demands from The White Coat Waste Project is really disturbing, as is the fact that Colorado State is building a facility to do bat research along with the EcoHealth Alliance, likely parent of the COVID-19 virus.

  • WCW has uncovered an alarming pattern of recent animal lab accidents at Colorado State University, which is working with the notorious EcoHealth Alliance and the NIH to build a new bat lab and breeding colony.

  • Never-before-seen records obtained by WCW show that from 2020 to 2023, dozens of animal lab accidents with bats, cats, hamsters, and mice exposed CSU staff to coronaviruses, Zika, rabies, Tuberculosis, and other dangerous pathogens that can cause deadly outbreaks.

  • Last year, WCW exposed how $12 million of taxpayers’ money is being wasted by CSU and EcoHealth to build a new lab and import hundreds of bats from Asia to establish a new breeding colony and infect them with deadly viruses, including Ebola and Nipah

  • The new bat lab at CSU is now scheduled to be completed in December 2024

The list of mishaps is long and at times scary (infected mice just dropped on a sidewalk for anybody to pick up?), as is the fact that nobody in the larger community has been informed about almost any of them. It has taken the dogged work of activists to pry this information out of the lab.

Previously released records show that even before 2020, CSU had a history of laboratory accidents with dangerous, deadly, and contagious pathogens like the ones above and others including plague, Brucella, chikungunya, Valley Fever, and Q Fever. CSU’s bat labs have also been fined for violations of federal animal welfare laws.

Biologists have called CSU and EcoHealth’s plan to import bats “utterly irresponsible” and warned that if any of these non-native bats escaped from CSU it could be disastrous.

CSU’s current bat experiments are receiving millions in taxpayer funding through NIH as well as the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Department of Interior, and the Department of Defense’s “Combatting Weapons of Mass Destruction” account.

California community demands end to police calls for mental health emergencies after death of 15-year-old boy
"Because people are neurodivergent it is not a death sentence"
[FoxNews] San Bernardino sheriff deputies shot Ryan Gainer, a 15-year-old boy, amid a confrontation.

A 15-year-old autistic boy was shot and killed in a confrontation with police in Southern California, according to a recent report.

San Bernardino sheriff deputies shot and killed Ryan Gainer, a 15-year-old boy, on March 9," ABC7 reported.

"He had been acting out that afternoon and a family member called 911," according to the outlet.

"Guess who had to tell her sister that her baby was dead? I did," the boy's aunt, Sheila Silver, said.

The family is considering suing the county, per the report.

Activists in Oakland, California, held a demonstration on Sunday in response to the shooting and called for police to stop being dispatched for calls related to mental health.

"We are calling for us to decriminalize mental health care, right? We are calling to decriminalize autism. Because people are neurodivergent it is not a death sentence," activist James Burch told reporters.

"Anyone coming into Oakland interested in public safety, what they need to know is how we keep us safe here in the city," Burch said. "How we invest in programs that are life-giving, affirmative. That treat people with respect and dignity."

Tuan Hall, a mother who lost her son Miles in 2019 after he experienced a mental health episode and was killed by police, believes that trained mental health experts should be called for mental health emergencies and not police.

"When something is a medical condition, which is autism and mental health, we shouldn't rely on police to come and be the first responders," Hall said.

She compared Gainer's death with her son, Miles.

"It was very similar to Miles. Miles had a garden tool" that she said he believed was a "staff from God."

"He was in a mental health emergency, so was Ryan. Ryan was autistic. All he needed was help," she added.

The San Bernadino Police Department did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
It's Time For Republicans To Put Up Or Shut Up On Hunter Biden
[Daily Caller] The biggest letdown is the realization that Republicans in Congress will not use the power they are given, even when the facts are undeniable.
"Letdown?" No, just another confirmation of Washington corruption.
Hunter Biden and his father, President Joe Biden, face a mountain of evidence alleging they conspired to make millions using Biden’s name and office as collateral. But the American people will never see them face the consequences of these decisions because House Republicans are more interested in bolstering their Twitter profiles and gaining media hits than in holding them accountable.

Fox News host Dana Perino said that people are watching GOP members hold the same hearing "over and over again" without any resolution.
"Without any resolution" is the interim goal. The long-awaited Presidential Pardon will relieve us of this unpleasantness.
"At the end of this week, Congress is due to go into recess for another two weeks," Perino added. "And I do think that, in some ways, it just feels like they keep doing the same hearing over and over again. And people are starting to wonder at some point, do you fish or cut bait and do something about a vote or not and move on to the general election?"

She’s right. These hearings started in 2023, and it’s clear that not a single person involved is even worried that Republicans will do anything to them because they know what we all know... these hearings are useless fodder for GOP reelection campaigns.\
The Epstein solution is not an options. The insanity must continue until a pardon is issued.

Marxist Tyrant Letitia James Attacks Trump After Appellate Court Throws Wrench in Her Plan to Seize Trump's Assets, Lowers Bond to $175 Million
[Gateway] An appellate court on Monday ruled that President Trump can post a $175 million bond to cover Letitia James’ $464 million judgment.
Why do these people hate us ?
Trump has 10 days to post the bond.

Marxist New York Attorney General Letitia James last Thursday took the initial step to seize Trump’s assets. She filed judgments in Westchester County where Trump’s private estate and golf course named Seven Springs is located.

President Trump had until Monday to either pay the judgment or convince the appellate court to allow him to defer the payment pending appeal.

Trump’s legal team filed an appeal and requested a stay on the massive $464 million judgment.

On Thursday Trump’s attorneys sent a letter to the Appellate Division of New York’s Supreme Court and asserted Letitia James’ actions are "unconstitutional."

The appellate court intervened on Monday and ruled Trump can post $175 million bond.

"It is ordered that the motion is granted to the extent of staying enforcement of those portions of the Judgment (1) ordering disgorgement to the Attorney General of $464,576,230.62, conditioned on defendants-appellants posting, within ten (10) days of the date of this order, an undertaking in the amount of $175 million dollars," the two-page order from the appellate said, according to ABC News.

Letitia James attacked Trump in a statement on Monday afternoon.

The Biden administration goes to war against Israel
Some historical background:
(i) No Virginia, there never was a Palestinian state - or Palestinian Nation. Muslims just started invading British mandate Palestine a few decades before their, current, invasion of the West.
(ii) Some recent USA politics.

[American Thinker] ...What changed in 2024 is that Biden wants a second term in office. That means catering to his base and, as we’ve seen since October 7, his base is antisemitic. Well, anti- a lot of traditional American values. The core Democrat party has been taken over by people who hate Christians, Jews, America, law and order, women, and individual liberty. That makes them a perfect fit with Hamas and other Islamists. The only difference is in their attitude toward the homosexual spectrum but, for now, the Islamists are willing to overlook that.

Nowhere is that fanaticism more apparent than among the massed Muslims in Michigan and Wisconsin, two swing states that Biden must win. Glenn Beaton perfectly analyzes Biden’s election calculations when it comes to the Muslim populations in those two states—or, as Netanyahu calls it, Biden’s "two-state solution."

When compared to "conservatives" and "moderates" of the same age and sex, "liberals" took the crown for most mentally ill.

#27  rank Key Howard (October 25, 1826 – May 29, 1872) (also cited as Francis Key Howard) was an American newspaper editor and journalist. The grandson of Francis Scott Key and Revolutionary War colonel John Eager Howard, Howard was the editor of the Daily Exchange, a Baltimore newspaper sympathetic to the Confederacy. Just after midnight on September 13, 1861, he was arrested without a warrant at his home by U.S. Major General Nathaniel Prentice Banks on the direct orders of General George B. McClellan enforcing the policy of President Abraham Lincoln. (In his book he writes that he was told by the arresting officer that the order had come from Secretary of State William Seward.) The basis for his arrest was the writing of an editorial printed in his newspaper that was critical of Lincoln's suspension of the writ of habeas corpus, of the declaration by the Lincoln administration of martial law in Baltimore, and of the imprisonment without charge of Baltimore mayor George William Brown, sitting U.S. Congressman Henry May, all the police commissioners of Baltimore, and the entire city council.

#30  IIRC, if a pilot is aboard and in control, he (or she) is responsible for the navigation. On the other hand, as several people have pointed out:
1) If a ship has lost power, it can no longer steer
2) Even if the ship is going 10 knots or so, it will take a long time and distance to come to a stop
3) At 95,000 tons, it has a LOT of momentum, even at slow speeds. Momentum is probably what brought the bridge down.
4) With no power, a ship has no brakes (or steering wheel, really),so it can't stop on a dime

In 50 to 60 degree water, your survival time is six hours. In 40 to 50 degrees, survival time is half that -- three hours. You'll survive for one to1 1/2 hours in 35 to 40 degree water. In water less than 35 degrees, you'll succumb fast.

#36  Baltimore was #1 in Auto deliveries Brunswick, GA #2

With a population of roughly 15,000 people and about a five-hour drive from the rapidly growing Atlanta metro area, Brunswick, Georgia, might seem like an unlikely place for automotive shipping to flourish.

But flourish it has: behind only the Port of Baltimore, the Port of Brunswick ranks as the nation’s second-busiest port for wheeled cargo — known within the industry as “roll-on/roll-off” cargo, or simply “ro-ro.”

Having processed more than 700,000 units (primarily automobiles, but also some heavy machinery) in 2023 and grown its cargo volumes by 18% in the last fiscal year, the Port of Brunswick may well be on track to surpassing the Port of Baltimore — which Georgia Ports Authority president and CEO Griff Lynch has said will happen within five years.

Capable of handling up to three ro-ro ships at once, the Port of Brunswick is planning to add a fourth berth by 2026.

So, what explains the port’s success? The No. 1 reason, according to Lynch, is the Southeast region’s rapid population growth.

According to Pew, the Southern U.S. is growing faster than any other part of the country, with nearby Florida ranking as the fastest-growing state.

#40  The video and a site that had a parallel video showed the channel very close to the bridge pier that was key to the entire span's collapse. The power loss occurs 4-6 minutes before the impact. The on-board Harbor pilot immediately radios the MAYDAY, and initiated the anchor drop. When power was briefly restored several minutes later the tried emergency backing and you could see the bow start to track left, then power fails again and impact quickly follows. The crux of the tragedy appears to be the mechanical failure and the absurdly close channel proximate to the critical bridge pier that sustained to centerpoint of the span load tension. The investigation will determine if it was equipment failure or human error in the engineering spaces, not the bridge.

#52  My in-laws live in the area, the 695 exit before the bridge. It will inconvenience many people but there are alternative routes.

Mike, the freeboard is a big issue. I don’t know where the wind was or the state of the current. The propeller will also not be as effective with a backing bell on because of set up. I don’t think the main engine would turn at more than a slow rotation on the emergency generator. I would think that the bow thrusters could be used and the rudder. It looks like they were able to drop the port anchor. That would have only have stopped the vessel if it was dropped pretty far up the channel as the weight of the chain is what holds a ship in place. If it was dropped late the force have tended to rotate the ship to port and the stern to starboard.

The ship that I navigated was the Yellowstone- much less tonnage but similar handling. To me it looks like they did everything they could do.

El Paso is a ghost town days after stampede involving 600 MIGRANTS as Gov. Abbott threatens full force of law as part of $10 BILLION border plan
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Governor sends more National Guard members following migrant riot Thursday

  • Number of migrants crossing into US through Texas has plummeted, as border crossings have spiked in New Mexico, Arizona, California

The site of last week's migrant riot in El Paso had largely emptied out Monday, as the Texas National Guard sent in more troops and reinforced the crossing with more razor wire.

Thursday, some 600 migrants stormed the barrier placed by Texas soldiers and had violent confrontations-- resulting in the arrest of one migrant for assaulting a service member.

Junior Evaristo-Benitez, 21, of Honduras, has been charged with assault on a public servant, a 3rd degree felony, and is being held at the El Paso County Jail, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed.

Ukraine Claims Successful Missile Strikes on Two Russian Black Sea Fleet Warships
[Breitbart] Ukraine’s military claimed on Sunday to have hit two Black Sea warships near Crimea as well as having struck a communications centre used by the Russian Navy in Sevastopol.

Two Russian Navy ships stationed off the Crimean peninsula were hit by missile strikes, the strategic command of the Ukrainian Army claimed in a post on social media. Additionally, a Russian naval communications centre in Sevastopol was hit during the barrage.

The facility reportedly previously served as the headquarters for the Ukrainian Black Sea fleet before Moscow illegally annexed the territory in 2014.

“Ukraine’s defence force successfully hit Russian large landing ships Yamal and Azov, a communications centre, as well as several infrastructure facilities of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol,” Ukrainian StratCom said in a statement.

Mikail Razvozhayev, the Russian-installed governor of Crimea confirmed on Sunday that multiple missiles were fired from Ukraine at Sevastopol. Razvozhayev did not confirm the strikes on the warships or the communications centre, but said that the missile attack was “the most massive one in recent times”.

The Russian official said that ground defences managed to shoot down 10 missiles. However, Razvozhayev claimed that a 65-year-old man was killed as a projectile hit his home and that a further four people suffered shrapnel wounds.

According to a report from London’s Daily Telegraph, the missiles used in the attacks are believed to have been Storm Shadows supplied to Ukraine from the United Kingdom.

The broadsheet noted that the missiles have a range of more than 155 miles and can fly under the radar, thereby giving Ukraine the ability to strike at targets well beyond the front line.

Ukraine has previously used unmanned sea drones to attack Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. Last month, Ukraine’s armed forces claimed to have sunk the Russian landing ship Caesar Kunikov off the coast of Crimea with explosive-laden remote-controlled sea boats.

Two weeks prior, the Ukrainian military released footage purporting to show the destruction of the Cold War-era Tarantul missile corvette Russian attack ship being struck by sea drones.

The latest strikes on Crimea came as Russia launched a “massive” wave of missile strikes on Ukraine, including on the capital city of Kyiv. There were no casualties reported.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Louisiana deacon whose altar boy son was sexually assaulted by his priest is excommunicated after years of being shunned slams Catholic church for 'punishing those that speak out'
Unfortunately typical behaviour of a small in-group when the hierarchy is embarrassed publicly. The timing of events seems a bit odd, though.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A Louisiana deacon says he has been excommunicated from the Roman Catholic church after suing his diocese and a priest who was jailed for sexually assaulting his son.

Scott Peyton resigned from the diaconate in December 2023 after he learned that the priest he served next to had molested his son. However, he was supposed to, sacramentally, remain a deacon. But he now claims he has been punished for speaking out against abusers in the church after the Lafayette diocese excommunicated him on March 13 - the harshest punishment a Catholic can receive.

His son was 16 when he was molested by Father Michael Guidry, now 78, in 2015 - with Guidry giving him alcohol before molesting him while he was drunk. Guidry pleaded guilty to charges of assault and in 2019 was handed a seven-year prison sentence but not before his church honored him with a goodbye luncheon - which it later apologized for.

'I am aware that your family has suffered a trauma, but the answer does not lie in leaving the Most Holy Eucharist,' bishop Douglas Deshotel's letter read, as seen by The Advocate.

Peyton said the actions of the bishop appeared to be an overt attempt to silence him after his family became vocal supporters of a law supporting childhood sex abuse survivors who wanted to seek civil damages from the church.

The Lafayette diocese had even pushed for Louisiana's supreme court to strike down a law that eliminated filing deadlines for lawsuits demanding damages for childhood sexual abuse from years ago. The law, which was struck down on Friday, saw many new cases coming forward against both the institutions and clerics who had worked for Louisiana's Catholic church.

Peyton has described Bishop Deshotel's actions against him as 'very malicious' noting how despite more than 40 priests and deacons being on the organization's list of credibly accused child molesters, none have ever been excommunicated.

Peyton was ordained into the diocese of Lafayette as a deacon in 2012.

But it was in 2018 his faith was shaken after Guidry, whom he worked with at St Peter's church in Morrow, Louisiana, a tiny rural town in St. Landry's Parish, confessed to molesting Peyton's teenage son.

Guidry was arrested by the police and is now serving jail time.

Three years later, the Paytons, consisting of Scott, wife Letitia and son, managed to win a $350,000 from the diocese of Lafayette as part of an out of court settlement as part of a civil lawsuit against the church.

As part of the settlement, the church issued a three-sentence apology acknowledging the victim's credibility while denouncing Guidry's actions.

Yet Guidry has argued Oliver Peyton's son had brought the sexual abuse upon himself. He alleged the teenager had drunk from his own bottle and then guided the priest's hands during a nude massage.

Despite being in jail, disgraced priest Guidry, remains an ordained member of the clergy.

After their success, the Peytons decided to advocate for other victims who had been abused at the hands of the church.

Prior to the law being struck down, it had allowed victims to pursue civil damages in connection with sexual abuse no matter how many years ago assaults had taken place.

Scott and Letitia Peyton founded TentMakers - a non-profit organization designed to support survivors of Catholic clergy sex abuse.

Yet the law was struck down after lawyers for their own diocese argued that having no time limit or 'look back window' made the law unconstitutional.

Peyton then quit after deciding he was no longer a good fit to be serving as a deacon in the diocese.

IEDs Explode in Cartel Stash House Injuring Civilians in Border State in Mexico
[Breitbart] Government officials in the Mexican border state of Tamaulipas are trying to cover up a large explosion that leveled several homes. Officials claim a gas leak caused the explosion. The explosion reportedly happened in a cartel stash house where they kept weapons and improvised explosive devices.

The incident occurred early Friday morning when a house in the Los Fresnos neighborhood in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, exploded. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and rescued more than 30 families as firefighters and authorities investigated the blast. Authorities revealed that the explosion leveled several homes.

The Tamaulipas government sent out a statement confirming the blast but made no mention of the cartel’s presence nor the use of explosive devices.

The Tamaulipas Civil Protection Coordinator, Luis Gerardo Gonzalez de La Fuente, told local news outlets that the explosion was caused by the accumulation of gas.

However, a search of the blast area led authorities to several containers believed to have been repurposed as IEDs. Authorities also found tactical gear that had been stored in the house that caused the explosion. Law enforcement sources revealed to Breitbart Texas that the containers used as IEDs had residue of plastic explosives, possibly C-4 or some similar material.

The explosion comes weeks after Breitbart Texas reported the Gulf Cartel had begun placing land mines along rural dirt roads as a way to keep their rivals out. Government officials initially tried to deny the issue but were forced to confirm the reporting. Officials tried to downplay the issue by claiming that the explosives were only used by cartels to fight each other and not used against civilians.

Sports Digest: NFL eliminates hip-drop tackle
[PressHerald] Team owners voted Monday to ban the technique, which resulted in 15 players missing time with injury last season.

The NFL is eliminating the hip-drop tackle.

NFL team owners on Monday unanimously approved a rule that bans players from using a swivel technique to tackle an opponent.

A violation will result in a 15-yard penalty and could ultimately result in fines for players.

NFL executive Jeff Miller said the hip-drop tackle was used 230 times last season and resulted in 15 players missing time with injuries.

The NFL Players Association has adamantly opposed the rule.

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: March 25, 2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title
.
[Korrespondent] 22:29 The SBU liquidated 47 agent networks in 2023, department head Vasily Malyuk said in an interview with ICTV. According to him, the networks included a variety of traitors - from current people’s deputies to representatives of the Defense Forces. He also said that the SBU has already carried out 13 successful attacks on Russian refineries, which have reduced the export of petroleum products by a third. In addition, with the help of sea drones Sea Baby and Mamai, they have already managed to hit 11 Russian ships and unblock the Black Sea. Malyuk also announced new special operations “on land and at sea.”

22:13 It will take years to restore CHPP-5 in Kharkov after the Russian attack; the city is powered by other regions, said Natalya Verbovaya, a representative of the press service of the thermal power plant.

21:58 Russian troops continue their offensive in the Bakhmut area and are approaching the outskirts of Chasova Yar, Donetsk region. The city could provide Russian troops with a route to Konstantinovka, the southern edge of the large urban agglomeration in the Donetsk region that the Russian Federation has long viewed as a major operational target in Ukraine. Read more in the material Dangerous Area .

21:14 British Defense Minister Grant Shapps said that “there is no connection between Ukraine and the terrorist attack near Moscow that Britain is aware of.” At the same time, he recalled that ISIS terrorists took responsibility for the shooting. “We must resist Putin’s attempts to tie this together,” the minister stressed.

21:11 Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba discussed with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell the possibilities of strengthening Ukrainian air defense systems, the Foreign Ministry reported.

21:09 Iceland has joined the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine and will allocate about 2 million euros for it, the country’s Foreign Ministry reported.

21:06 The Russians attacked a private residential area with a controlled aerial bomb in the town of Dergachi, Kharkov region, injuring four people, the prosecutor’s office reported. More than 20 private households were damaged.

21:00 Russia has modernized Zircon missiles, which turned out to be hypersonic and better than Kinzhal, writes Defense Express. According to the publication, this time experts were able to collect more fragments of this missile, which made it possible to conduct a more detailed examination and find out to what extent the Russians managed to modernize it.

Analysts claim that the Russians managed to develop a hypersonic jet engine and install it on Zircon. Thus, the Zircon, unlike the X-47 Kinzhal, is still hypersonic and can maintain a constant hypersonic speed. When approaching the target, the missile picks up speed up to 9000 km/h, and it is very difficult to shoot it down.

20:54 Putin said that the terrorist attack in Crocus near Moscow is “a link in a series of attempts by those who have been fighting the Russian Federation since 2014 at the hands of the Kiev regime.”

19:47 The Southern Defense Forces clarified that Russian troops struck the recreational area of Odessa with a double strike along a ballistic trajectory. Two buildings were destroyed and windows were broken in houses around them. It is preliminary known that four people were wounded.

19:36 The Russians launched a missile attack on Odessa, currently three people are known to be wounded, said Oleg Kiper, head of the OVA. There is damage to civilian infrastructure.

19:31 Ukraine is definitely not involved in the attack by ISIS terrorists on Crocus near Moscow, as the Kremlin continues to claim, said White House Advisor John Kirby. "This is just another manifestation of Kremlin propaganda. This is all they can do in an attempt to connect with what they are doing in Ukraine, in an attempt to find at least some justification for their continuous violence and robbery," he said. Kirby also confirmed that the American side warned the Russian leadership in advance about ISIS plans for a terrorist attack.

18:58 Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergei Andreev ignored the call to the Polish Foreign Ministry, where he was invited due to the violation of the country’s airspace by a Russian missile, Foreign Ministry spokesman Pavel Vronsky said. According to him, Warsaw will now send a diplomatic note to the Russian Foreign Ministry through another channel demanding clarification of the fact that the Russian missile violated Polish airspace.

Meanwhile, Andreev, in a commentary to Russian media, said that he refused to come to the Polish Foreign Ministry because allegedly “there is no evidence that we are talking about a Russian missile.” He added that he invited the Polish side to send him a corresponding note by courier or mail.

18:04 Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainian air defense has shot down more than 2,000 cruise and ballistic missiles, the Ministry of Defense reported.

17:35 It will take years to restore the Dnieper Hydroelectric Power Station after a missile attack, said the General Director of Ukrhydroenergo Igor Sirota. According to him, the dismantling of the remnants of the ceiling and walls of the turbine room is now ongoing - but this will take weeks. It is not yet known what damage is on the four floors below the station, which are now littered. Units at the station were hit and equipment burned down. Some equipment needs to be produced from scratch, and the machine room needs to be completely reconstructed. Now the Russians are continuously pumping water from the stricken ship, which took part in the annexation of Crimea and was under repair from 2017 to 2023.

07:59 Over the past 24 hours, 60 military clashes took place at the front, the General Staff reported in its morning report . 07:26 At night, the Russians attacked energy facilities in the Nikolaev and Odessa regions with drones, the Southern Defense Forces reported. Before the drone attack, the enemy launched an X-31P anti-radar missile from a tactical aircraft to interfere with the air defense. The missile lost its combat capability in the air. Next, the Russians attacked with several waves of Shahed-131/136 type drones and managed to destroy four UAVs in each area.

In the Nikolaev region, an enemy drone hit an energy facility, a fire broke out, which was promptly extinguished by rescuers, no people were injured. As a result of falling debris in the private sector of Nikolaev, a two-story residential building was destroyed; there was also a fire there, which has already been extinguished. Several surrounding houses were damaged by the blast wave. According to preliminary data, 11 people were injured, two of them were hospitalized.

In the Odessa region, the debris of a downed drone damaged an energy facility, a fire broke out, which caused a blackout in part of Odessa and nearby settlements. The fire was extinguished, no people were injured. Ukrenergo clarified that at night Russian drones attacked two substations in the southern region. Due to equipment damage in Odessa and the region, consumption limitation periods have been increased in order to protect surviving equipment from overload.

03:53 In Novocherkassk, Rostov region of the Russian Federation, drones attacked a thermal power plant - Novocherkassk State District Power Plant, local publics write. Eyewitnesses report that they counted several dozen drones and more than ten explosions. Governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev said that two power units of the Novocherkassk State District Power Plant were temporarily taken out of service after a fire, the causes of which are being established.

02:52 OSINT analyst Tyler Rogovey published a satellite image showing the consequences of missile attacks on Russian large landing ships Yamal and Azov in Sevastopol. “You can see two hits: on the pier near one ship, and on the dry dock near the other. It is impossible to see visible damage on the ships themselves,” the expert writes. At the same time, he added that one of the ships was being towed into a dry dock, and it probably received some damage. A stain is also spreading from the ship, which may indicate a leak of fuel and lubricants.

Rogoway noted that after a cursory examination of high-resolution satellite images, there were no obvious signs of serious damage to the landing craft, but this does not mean that they were not hit, and this assessment may change.

Government Corruption
Controlled chaos: US Congress exchanges rainbow flag for $1.2 trillion
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Malek Dudakov

[REGNUM] Washington is mired in budget wars. For more than six months, since September 2023, the American Congress has not been able to cope with its basic responsibility - the adoption of federal budgets. Battles over funding the US government have already cost one Speaker of the House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy, his seat. Now current Speaker Mike Johnson is at risk of following in his footsteps. And this will plunge the US political system into hardware paralysis on the eve of the elections.

Since last fall, American lawmakers have had to live literally paycheck to paycheck.
The poor darlings.
They accepted only short-term budgets for one or two months in advance; they did not have enough capacity for more. After all, the split between Republicans and Democrats, and within both parties, is now stronger than ever.

There is a right wing of Republicans, which in every possible way demands that its leadership sharply reduce government spending; they are panicking because of the rapid growth and deficit of the US budget and the American national debt. In 2023, the deficit was $2 trillion; in 2024 it will approach three trillion. The national debt increases by 1 trillion every three to four months.

It would seem that it’s not a problem, because America can always print more unsecured dollars. But from the spring of 2022, the United States had to tighten the screws on inflation, stop the uncontrolled emission of money and sharply increase the key rate. Therefore, now the growing public debt has begun to put very painful pressure on the budget. Let's say that last year it took $1 trillion to pay interest on the national debt - this is already more than America spends on all its military expenses.

Among the Republicans there are those who demand that spending on social services and military services be reduced at the same time. There are hawks for whom the military budget is sacred and cannot be encroached upon. And in the camp of Democrats they really want to spend as much as possible on everything at once.

It is very difficult for these groups to come to a compromise, which is why US budget policy is so stalled. This has also manifested itself against the backdrop of the current battles. By March 22, lawmakers had to urgently pass a budget to avoid a shutdown or suspension of the US government. It will last for six months, until the end of September, which is also not a long period.

Republicans managed to include some of their symbolic initiatives in the $1.2 trillion budget proposal. For example, they forced the State Department to ban the display of rainbow flags on its embassy buildings around the world. And also the FBI budget is being cut by about 6% - this is a kind of retaliatory measure in defiance of the feds, whom Republicans are now accusing of persecuting Donald Trump.

The US military budget will be $825 billion and will grow by only a couple of percent, which is below inflation. It allocates only $300 million to resume arms purchases to replace what was spent in Ukraine. The numbers are very small and are much lower than the 60 billion requested by the White House.

The voting results in Congress are indicative: in the lower house, 130 Republicans, or 60% of their faction, opposed it. It was possible to pass the budget bill only due to the votes of the Democrats. Many Republicans were unhappy with their speaker's deal with the Democratic Party, wanting to cut government spending much more. Some legislators were not even at all against arranging a shutdown of Joe Biden's government.

The first reaction to the budget approval was a petition for the speaker's resignation on behalf of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, an influential Trump supporter. The procedure for recalling the speaker has been greatly simplified since 2023: only the signatures of five congressmen are enough, and it is put to a vote. And then, if even 3-5 right-wing Republicans, along with the Democrats, vote against Speaker Johnson, he will automatically lose his post.

There are no plans to vote on this petition any time soon. But Marjorie Taylor Greene intends to use it as a real sword of Damocles over her own speaker. This could be very useful to her in the near future. Right now, Congress is going on another two-week recess before returning after April 9th. Then legislators will have two working weeks, when the already sore issue of Ukrainian trenches will be on the agenda.

The White House continues to insist on the allocation of $95 billion, of which 60 will go to Ukraine and the rest will be divided between Israel and Taiwan. Approximately 12 billion will be provided in the form of new tranches to Kyiv, and the rest of the money will go to the Pentagon to produce new weapons to replace those lost on the Ukrainian front.

Hawks among Republicans, such as Senator Lindsey Graham, who recently visited Kiev, are proposing to allocate this 12 billion in the form of a loan. This is how they try to cajole their electorate, which is already tired of the war in Ukraine and demands not to spend money on it. Everyone understands that Kyiv will never repay these loans. Therefore, it is proposed to issue them on the security of Russian assets in the United States, amounting to $30–40 billion, in order to then begin to seize them after the defeat of Ukraine.

But even such “schematas” do not please the right wing of the Republicans, who play on the growth of isolationism among voters. After all, the majority of Americans - and two-thirds of ordinary Republicans - do not consider it necessary to allocate new tranches to Kyiv. The Ukrainian agenda is becoming increasingly toxic in the face of constant failures and retreats of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Therefore, now the Trumpist Republicans under the leadership of Marjorie Taylor Greene will literally blackmail their speaker. If he puts a bill with Ukrainian-Israeli tranches to a vote, he will be subject to a recall procedure. And they will simply be thrown out of office, as happened with previous Speaker McCarthy in September.

Mike Johnson found himself in a very difficult position.

For now, he promises to prioritize migration issues and try to strengthen the security of the US southern border, which is being stormed by hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants. And only then take on the issue of Ukraine. The speaker may propose to allocate a small symbolic amount in support of Kyiv, which the White House will definitely not accept.

Isolationists hope to continue to delay the procedure for allocating tranches in Congress. After April 23, lawmakers will go on vacation again, and they will have few working days in May. With the November elections ahead, congressmen and senators are spending most of their time “in the field,” working with voters. This will take the lion's share of the summer months.

Only in September will Congress work more actively, when the next round of budget sharing is on the agenda. But the closer the elections are, the less appetite legislators will have to allocate tranches to the Ukrainian conflict, which has become unpopular in the United States.

If Speaker Johnson is nevertheless overthrown, then Congress will plunge into real administrative chaos. It is quite possible that a new speaker will not be chosen until after the elections. And there will no longer be time for Ukrainian trenches - all the work of the Congress will be completely paralyzed.

Well, one person becomes the beneficiary of the situation - Donald Trump. He, through his supporters, launched the processes of controlled chaos in Congress and is reaping the benefits. It is now much easier for Trump to conduct campaigns criticizing the “Washington swamp,” which is incapable of governing the country. And at the same time, it complicates the situation for Ukraine with the blocking of trenches. After all, if the Ukrainian front begins to crumble in the summer and autumn, then it will bury the entire Biden presidency with it.

#2  ^^^ The part about the Washington swamp being unable to run the country is certainly true.

I like Elon Musk's precedent of firing 80% of the staff at Twitter/X. It seems to have worked out pretty well. Donald, please do the same in Washington!

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Between ISIS and Ukraine. What does the handwriting of the terrorist attack at Crocus say?
Direct Translaion via Google Translate. Edited.
by Kirill Semenov
Long. Lots of useful information about ISIS at the bottom.
[REGNUM] The terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS), took responsibility for the terrible terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow. But this only adds questions about the true organizers of the tragedy.

The first message on behalf of Amaq, the main information resource of ISIS, released on March 22, was duplicated on several ISIS-related information platforms, for example, on the ISIS channel “Nashir News” and the pro-ISIS channel “Ilam”, as was also done during other terrorist attacks. On March 23, Amaq published a more detailed statement from ISIS with details of the terrorist attack and with a photo of its perpetrators in front of the organization’s flag.

On the same day, but a little later, there was an official statement from the “press service” of ISIS, which was distributed through channels associated with this terrorist organization. And finally, also on March 23, an Amaq News video appeared with horrifying scenes of the terrorists' actions, filmed by themselves, entitled "Amaq Agency Exclusive Footage."

The fact that the faces of the terrorists in the photos and videos were “blurred” should not be embarrassing and does not indicate the fake nature of these frames. For example, during the terrorist attack in Iranian Kerman, the statement of the terrorists against the backdrop of the ISIS flag was published with “blurred” faces. This is a common but not required practice.

At the same time, there are doubts that the terrorists who carried out the massacre of our fellow citizens had deep ideological ties with ISIS and were recruited directly by emissaries of this group.

The investigation will put a final point on this, but in any case, the involvement of ISIS in this terrorist attack cannot in any way exclude the possibility that, in fact, behind the attack on Crocus City were the intelligence services of states hostile to Russia, primarily the Kiev regime, which took advantage of the “flag” » ISIS and the willingness of these terrorists to chalk up the inhumane act to their own account.

For the “caliphate,” as ISIS calls itself, the statement that its “soldiers” carried out a terrorist attack is, first and foremost, an indicator of the viability of the project.
True.
Therefore, in the current conditions, “ISIS” members are not particularly picky about the ideology of the perpetrators, as well as how correctly they understand the dogmatic and other guidelines of this group.
We’ve noticed.
For them, the main thing is to maintain the myth that the “caliphate project” is alive, as is its slogan “to survive and expand.” In this case, we are talking about expanding the group’s activity to those territories where it has not yet declared itself with the bloodiest terrorist attacks, as in the Russian Federation.

On the other hand, for Kyiv, using the ISIS brand is a good way to evade responsibility, but at the same time achieve the same goals as if this terrorist attack was carried out by militants whose affiliation with the Zelensky regime is unconditional.
Russa desperately wants to hang tuis round Kiev’s neck…
It is significant that this terrorist action clearly fits into the outline of a terrorist attack on the Russian Federation against the backdrop of the inability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to achieve success in the zone of the Northern Military District.

Hence the DRG attacks on the Belgorod and Kursk regions, the constant shelling of our cities,
…which Russia started…
kamikaze drone strikes on civilian vehicles and even individual citizens, and, finally, the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall as the apogee of this terrorist offensive.

According to the organizers, the offensive should sow distrust of the population in the authorities, highlight all the most pressing problems (migration, interfaith and interethnic relations), turning cracks in them into fault lines, make Russians realize that now the war concerns each of them, and wherever they are were located from Belgorod to Vladivostok, they cannot feel safe. And even where drones and MLRS missiles cannot reach, terrorists can overtake them.

In this case, for Kyiv it does not matter what brand or name these terrorists have - RDK, ISIS or anything else. The main thing is to achieve your desired goals. Make Russian citizens doubt their choice, which they made on March 15–17, 2024.

As for the possibility of organizing such terrorist attacks, for which ISIS will ultimately take responsibility, a hypothetical situation may look like this: a certain group, attracted through combined recruitment methods, that is, material interest, Russophobia and radical religious attitudes, is being trained and receives everything it needs from the intelligence services of third countries.

Then, in agreement with the same special services, which can act as some kind of “preachers,” they make a statement to ISIS, indicating that they are preparing an attack and that they swear an oath to ISIS, thus receiving the status of “soldiers of the caliphate.” This is in effect for notice.

No emissaries will come and check how sincere these (in)people are in their belief in the ideology of ISIS and share its guidelines; no one will demand a preliminary plan of operation either. This can be done after the fact, and it is even possible that the future terrorist should first record the oath (bayat) of ISIS, send or post the recording in a safe place, without sending directly to the real, deeply secret structures of the terrorist organization, with which he simply does not have communication channels.

All this makes it easier for interested third parties to use the ISIS flag.

It is also noteworthy that the ISIS statement includes the definition of “soldiers of the caliphate”, that is, we are talking about people previously unknown to these terrorists who declared an oath and carried out a terrorist attack on their behalf, without being sent to a particular country by the “central command” of ISIS and the Amniyat security service.

If the terrorist attack is planned directly by Amniyat and proven militants, then the terrorists are no longer declared “soldiers of the caliphate,” but “martyr brothers,” and from the wording itself one can conclude that there is no provision for saving their lives after the terrorist attack.

“INGHIMASI” WITHOUT “ISTISHKHADIYEV”
Formally, ISIS fighters on the battlefield (including during sabotage or terrorist attacks) can be divided into three types, which, in turn, are divided into subtypes: this is the “infantry” itself with light small arms, RPGs and ATGMs; “Istishhadi” - suicide bombers to break through the enemy’s defenses and cause damage to his manpower, who are sent by Amniyat to carry out terrorist attacks; "ingimasi" - "commandos" or "stormtroopers", usually trained fighters for operations and actions in difficult areas, who can also wear suicide "belts", but detonate them only when necessary.

For example, in issue No. 11 of the ISIS magazine “Rumiyah”, the combined terrorist attacks in Tehran are described as follows: the first group of “Istishhadis” blew themselves up at the Khomeini mausoleum, the second group of “Inghimasis” of three people attacked the parliament building.

Accordingly, the terrorists from Crocus City were also called “ingimasi”, despite the fact that among them there were no “istishkhadis”, who are usually used in the preparation of terrorist attacks by Amniyat.

Therefore, now, during the decline of ISIS, the procedure for declaring a “soldier of the caliphate” has become even more simplified. And it allows virtually anyone to use the “ISIS brand.” Especially if we are not talking about suicide attacks, where ideological pumping is required, but about the actions of the “Ingimasyev”.

At the same time, it is obvious that the Crocus terrorists themselves did not have the capabilities to prepare such a terrorist attack, but were most likely selected for the implementation of a specific plan. Weapons caches were organized, waste routes were worked out, and so on. All that ISIS in Russia could hardly organize, but that the intelligence services and local agents of third countries could provide in the interests of terrorists acting on behalf of ISIS.

Again, the Islamic rhetoric appearing as if specifically on the video recording of the terrorist attack should convince these individuals of their “sincere” adherence to the ISIS ideology. Probably, the customers themselves could have asked them for this, which was included in the “price” for ruined human lives.

At the moment, there is no convincing evidence of the involvement of those arrested in Salafi or radical Islamist circles, just as there are no signs of their stable affiliation with the corresponding subculture.

The terrorist attack was not carried out at all in the style of the relevant terrorist organizations.

When attacking such a significant object with an entire armed group, where security forces and police were supposed to arrive, ISIS, obviously, in its own planning of this operation, would be extremely interested in the “ingimasi” eventually blowing up their “suicide belts” when entering the battle.

Those cases when ISIS terrorists left the scene of a terrorist attack are noticeably different from the events at Crocus in terms of the scale of preparation and planning and are more likely to be of a spontaneous nature, like in January 2024 in Istanbul.

"VELAYAT KHORASAN"
In this context, it should also be noted that the statements of ISIS themselves did not say anything that their cell “Islamic State - Velayat Khorasan” (ISIS-K) was behind the terrorist attacks in the Russian Federation.

It is generally believed that this is an Afghan-Pakistani affiliate of ISIS. And the fact that the terrorist attack was carried out by Tajiks should have convinced everyone that ISIS-X was behind it. Let us recall that the terrorist attacks in Iranian Kerman on behalf of ISIS-X were carried out by people from Tajikistan, as was the January terrorist attack in Istanbul.

ISIS-X, dominated by Tajiks and Uzbeks, is trying to become the most active cell of ISIS along with the group’s African branches and spread its terrorist activity to almost all of Eurasia.
Actually, ISIS-X, dominated by Tajiks and Uzbeks, is trying to become the most active cell of ISIS along with the group’s African branches and spread its terrorist activity to almost all of Eurasia.

Initially, ISIS-X had Pakistani roots, in the sense that its activities spread to Afghanistan from Pakistan.

Its existence should be counted from September 2014.

Then a “delegation” of IS arrived in the Pakistani province of Waziristan from Syria and Iraq and held negotiations with some representatives of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), an independent Pakistani jihadist structure fighting Islamabad and not associated with the Afghan Taliban, although consonant in the name. Among the leaders of this group were those who moved away from the traditional Hanafi madhhab for Pashtuns and began to profess Arabian Salafism.

This caused a split in the TTP, and some of its Salafi field commanders tried to impose their views as the only true ones for the entire organization, which, however, did not meet with understanding among the majority of militants and Tehrik leaders. This is what ISIS tried to take advantage of.

As a result of negotiations with IS emissaries, on October 15, 2015, Hafiz Said Khan, one of its leaders, officially left the TTP, along with seven other top-level “schismatics,” including the “official” TTP representative Shahidullah Shahid ; TTP district chief Khyber Gul Zaman Fateh ; TTP Chief Mufti in Peshawar Hassan Swati ; Kurram District Chief Hafiz Dawlat Khan ; TTP commander in Waziristan Abdul Bahar Mehsud and others.

They created a new group called Tehreek-e-Khilafat Pakistan (TCP), pledging allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

ISIS-X was proclaimed on January 11, 2015 and became the successor to the TKP, and Said Khan became its first leader.

The group was unable to gain a foothold in Pakistan due to the rather effective actions of local security forces and the conflict with the TTP and tried to transfer its activity to Afghanistan, where by June 2015 it occupied some areas in the Nananghar province, which is still one of the centers of ISIS activity.

After the Americans eliminated Hafiz Said Khan in 2016 and his successor Abdul Hasib Logari in 2017, ISIS-X actually split into two independent factions, as numerous people from the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan and other representatives of the Central Asian republics refused to recognize the new leadership ISIS-X is led by Pashtuns who came from Afghanistan.

Thus, two independent groups began to operate under the brand “Islamic State Vilayat Khorasan” in 2017. One - consisting of natives of the Central Asian republics and local Tajiks and Uzbeks who joined them, and the other - of Pakistani Pashtuns and Afghan Salafis from the provinces of Kunar and Nuristan.

This division probably continues to this day, but with a significant dominance of Uzbeks and Tajiks.

At the same time, ISIS-X, having invaded Afghanistan, entered into confrontation not only with government troops and the international contingent, but also with the Taliban, who were able to inflict a number of sensitive defeats on ISIS. For example, they defeated the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, which decided to join ISIS-X.

Subsequently, the main burden of countering ISIS in Afghanistan also fell on the Taliban, while government troops, on the contrary, often saved the “ISIS” from complete destruction. As this, for example, happened during the Battle of Darzab in July 2018, where the main forces of ISIS-X were concentrated in Afghanistan at that time.

The Taliban practically destroyed this group of 700 militants (of which 128 were captured). There were 200 survivors who turned to the Afghan pro-American government for help. It provided them with a corridor to retreat to territories controlled by government forces, so as not to be completely destroyed by the Taliba. There, the remnants of this group surrendered to the Afghan authorities.

Currently, despite terrorist attacks, ISIS-X in Afghanistan is significantly weaker than in 2017–2018. The group can carry out individual acts of intimidation, but is unable to ensure sustainable territorial control over entire regions.

Therefore, it is likely that the Taliban will be able to restrain the activity of ISIS-X and prevent any cities and regions from falling under its control, but it is unlikely that in the foreseeable future they will be able to completely eliminate all cells of this terrorist organization in Afghanistan.

In turn, ISIS-X seeks to demonstrate its activity through various terrorist attacks, thereby compensating for its own failures in Afghanistan, and at the same time, it is probably ready to provide “its flag” to anyone who will bring “black resonance” to the group.

Analysts argue about the risks of IS intensifying in the North Caucasus
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] In the North Caucasus, there is a risk of intensification of IS militants after the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, although terrorist attacks on civilians have not been observed there since 2018, indicated veteran of the special services Sergei Goncharov and military expert Andrei Koshkin. A new round of IS activity in the region is unlikely, argued former Dagestan security official Magomed Shamilov.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, on March 22, armed people broke into the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow and opened fire there, and the building was also set on fire. As a result of the terrorist attack, according to the Russian Investigative Committee as of March 24, 137 people were killed, and another 154 people were hospitalized after the terrorist attack. The FSB reported the detention of 11 suspects, four of them, citizens of Tajikistan, were arrested. Earlier, on the day of the attack, it became known that the terrorist organization "Islamic State" had claimed responsibility.

The New York Times indicated that US officials in March gathered intelligence that the Afghanistan-based Islamic State-Khorasan was planning an attack in Moscow, and Russia was warned about it. Statements about the responsibility of ISIS-Khorasan for the terrorist attack are given weight by the FSB report released two weeks before the attack on the prevention of an attack on a Moscow synagogue being prepared by militants of the same group. The terrorist attack on visitors to Crocus City Hall has similarities with the January terrorist attack in Iranian Kerman, for which the Islamic State also claimed responsibility, said Mina Al-Lami, an expert on extremist groups.

IN THE NORTH CAUCASUS, NO IS ATTACKS ON CIVILIANS HAVE BEEN RECORDED SINCE 2018
In the North Caucasian Federal District, the last time a coordinated and massive attack by militants on civilians occurred was on May 19, 2018, when the Church of the Archangel Michael in Grozny was attacked. During the clash, four militants were killed, along with a worshiper and two seconded policemen. The Caucasus branch of IS claimed responsibility for the attack on the temple, although investigators later concluded that the attackers were not affiliated with IS.

Attacks similar in typology occurred earlier: for example, on February 18, 2018, five people were killed during the celebration of Maslenitsa in Kizlyar. On the night of December 30, 2015, militants opened fire on visitors to the fortress in Derbent, killing one person. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack in Derbent.

However, after May 2018, attacks by IS members in the North Caucasus had the nature of individual terror and were directed against security forces. In particular, on December 28, 2020, there was a knife attack on police officers in Grozny - then one policeman died; the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.

On December 31, 2019, two militants attacked a traffic police post in Magas, killing one policeman. According to investigators, the residents of Ingushetia who attacked the post were members of the Islamic State.

Moreover, even these attacks on civilians are typologically different from the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall - two of them were of a confessional nature, and none of them were associated with penetration into buildings.

EXPERTS POINTED TO THE RISK OF IS INTENSIFYING IN THE NORTH CAUCASUS
In the North Caucasus, the coordination of IS militants has weakened, says Sergei Goncharov, president of the Association of Veterans of the Alpha anti-terror unit. “In the context of the terrorist attack in Crocus, I analyzed and recalled what terrorist acts of ISIS were in the North Caucasus. And the fact that the last time ISIS attacked civilians on the territory of the North Caucasus Federal District five years ago, in 2018, means that their positions are strongly weakened. We can say with confidence that the anti-terrorist struggle in the regions of the North Caucasus has borne fruit. Chechnya and Dagestan should be especially mentioned," he told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

However, ISIS militants may become active again in the North Caucasus, Goncharov emphasized. “We are accustomed to the fact that once there is a terrorist attack, it is somewhere in the North Caucasus, but now it happened in Moscow (in the Moscow region. - Caucasian Knot note ). This gives us reason to believe that the activities of the Islamic State in the North Caucasus Federal District have been curtailed. But ", unfortunately, this is temporary. It seems to me that in the near future we should expect their activation in the North Caucasus Federal District. Therefore, we must not let down our vigilance," he said.

A similar opinion was expressed by Andrei Koshkin, Doctor of Political Sciences, reserve colonel of the RF Armed Forces, expert of the Association of Military Political Scientists. “Five years without the activity of ISIS militants in the North Caucasus, if we are talking about acts against civilians, is an impressive period, which gives reason to believe that the fight against them was effective. Local security forces played an important role here, their work turned out to be effective. But I I would also point out that without the socio-economic policy of the federal center aimed at improving the situation of these regions, there would not have been such a result. But the fact that in the region for five years there has not been a single act of militants against civilians is a unique result ", he told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Andrei Koshkin is confident that the militants are looking for opportunities and will take advantage of any relaxation to become active again in the North Caucasus. "Their active activities were successfully stopped in the region. But this does not mean that we can relax. This cannot be allowed under any circumstances. After all, this is what they are waiting for. They will take advantage of any opportunity when they see that law enforcement agencies, satisfied with their work, are more are not as diligent as before. Therefore, we must not lose our vigilance, we must continue to work effectively and fight against militants not only in the North Caucasus Federal District, but throughout Russia. In this sense, we should adopt the experience of local security forces," the expert noted.

A DAGESTAN SECURITY OFFICIAL CONSIDERED A NEW ROUND OF IS ACTIVITY IN THE NORTH CAUCASUS FEDERAL DISTRICT UNLIKELY
The security forces of the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District managed to oust the ISIS militants, says Magomed Shamilov, a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan. “The fact that there have been no terrorist attacks for several years indicates that the cells are disunited, there is no coordination and active activity. Nevertheless, our security forces managed to achieve results in this fight. The only thing that they [the militants] have succeeded in recently is - these are single attacks, mainly on security forces. But usually they were immediately destroyed,” he told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

Now the activities of the Islamic State in the North Caucasian Federal District have been curtailed, Shamilov is convinced. “And I don’t think that they will be able to become active in our region. This organization has weakened in general throughout the world. Especially after the terrorist attack in Crocus, the fight against them will be intensified,” he said.

Israel considering Hamas demand not to assassinate its senior officials - report
[Jpost] Israeli officials have suggested they might consider a permanent ceasefire if Hamas’s Gaza leadership leave the Strip and go into exile.

Israel is considering Hamas's demand for a commitment not to assassinate the organization's senior officials if they are exiled from the Gaza Strip, Kan reported Friday.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu previously stated in November that he had told the Mossad “to act against the heads of Hamas wherever they are.”

Israel would agree to this in exchange for an agreement that would include the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip and the release of all the hostages, according to the Kan report.

Hamas is simultaneously demanding the withdrawal of IDF forces from Gaza.

The proposal is backed by the United States as part of the next phase of a hostage deal in which Hamas would release 40 hostages in exchange for a six-week ceasefire.

An Israeli senior official told Kan that an offer is being considered, "including a commitment not to harm the exiled senior officials."

DEALS ON THE TABLE
During the hostage negotiations, Hamas officials said they would only release the remaining hostages in Gaza as part of a ceasefire. Netanyahu has said that he will not accept any deal that would leave Hamas in control of Gaza.

One recent framework for a proposed deal was a phased release of the remaining hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, with the goal of a ceasefire, a senior Western diplomat and a regional diplomat told The New York Times.

Israeli officials have suggested they might consider a permanent ceasefire if Hamas’s Gaza leadership leaves the Strip and goes into exile, the two diplomats told the NYT.

Hamas officials have rejected leaving the Strip, according to the report. “Hamas and its leaders are on their land in Gaza,” Husam Badran, a senior Hamas official, said in a text message. “We won’t leave.”

An Israeli delegation is in Qatar for hostage negotiations and has agreed to an American compromise on the number of Palestinian prisoners who will be swapped for each Israeli hostage. They are waiting for a response from Hamas, Israeli media reported Saturday night.

Russian concert hall attack suspects face court in Moscow
[TELEGRAPH.CO.UK] Suspects in the Russian concert hall attack that left more than 130 people dead have been charged at a court in Moscow.

Moscow’s Basmanny District Court formally charged Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev, 32, Saidakrami Rachabalizoda, 30, Mukhammadsobir Faizov, 19, and Shamsidin Fariduni, 25, with committing a group terrorist attack resulting in the death of others.

The offence carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

The court ordered that the men, all of whom are citizens of Tajikistan, be held in pre-trial custody until May 22.

The fourth, Faizov, was brought to court directly from a hospital in a wheelchair and sat with his eyes closed throughout the proceedings. He was attended by medics while in court, where he wore a hospital gown and trousers and was seen with multiple cuts.

Earlier, pictures aired by Russian state media showed the suspects, who appeared to be blinded and handcuffed, being pushed and escorted inside by men in camouflage uniforms for interrogation.

The release of those images came after footage shared by Russian-aligned Telegram channels appeared to show the violent mostly peaceful arrest of one of the suspects in a wooded area of Bryansk after apparently fleeing from an escape vehicle on the roadside.

The other three suspects appeared in court heavily bruised with swollen faces amid reports in Russian media that they were tortured during the interrogation by security services.

One suspect, Saidakrami Rachabalizoda, had a heavily bandaged ear. Russian media reported on Saturday that one of the suspects had his ear cut off during the interrogation.

Russian authorities on Sunday increased the corpse count from Friday’s massacre at the Crocus City Hall concert venue to 137. Three children were said to be among the dead.

Russia on Sunday observed a day of national mourning for victims of the attack, with flags lowered to half-mast and TV schedules updated to remove advertising and entertainment broadcasting.

The US, meanwhile, has stated that Ukraine had "no involvement whatsoever" with the terror attack and emphasised that "ISIS bears sole responsibility".

Russia has vowed to stand against "international terrorism", but has yet to blame the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
and has claimed that the button men had links to Ukraine, where it alleges the assailants were attempting to flee to and where "a window had been prepared for them to cross the border".

The French government is raising its terror alert warning to its highest level following the shootings on Moscow, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal said on Sunday after a meeting with senior security and defence officials with President Emmanuel Macron.

Mr Attal said in a post on X that the decision, which comes months before Gay Paree hosts the Olympic Games, was taken "in light of the Islamic State’s claiming responsibility for the (Moscow) attack and the threats weighing on our country".

#4  Interesting too is that the Crocus Center has a Police Station incorporated into it, supposedly fully staffed and armed at the time.

Also videos from inside the venue show armed security guards bugging out along with the concert goers when the shooting started. Witnesses also note seeing FSB types with AK's at the doorways prior to the concert.

SWAT teams didn't arrive on site for at least an hour.

Since the Russian security system command structures are apparently very top-heavy, are we looking at another 'Parkland' situation?

Pons-Brooks Comet filmed flying over eastern Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Residents of the Far East were able to observe with the naked eye a bright object flying near the Earth, presumably Comet Pons-Brooks. Users published video footage of the celestial body on social networks.

In the Far East, Comet Pons-Brooks was photographed flying over the Earth
The comet was discovered in 1812. It is noted that the next time a celestial body will fly past the Earth will be in 71 years. The last time earthlings observed Comet Pons-Brooks was in 1954.

Astronomers advised the Russians to focus on the constellation Andromeda to find the comet in March, and in early April on the constellation Aries. The comet will be best visible between sunset and midnight, they emphasized.

As reported by Regnum news agency, the fall of a small celestial body was observed by residents of Germany on the night of January 21.

It was noted that an asteroid about 1 meter in diameter exploded in the sky over Berlin. The fireball left a long trail of light, and fragments of the meteorite are being searched on the ground.

There is probably little left of the celestial body. Thanks to the calculations of specialists, they knew about the approach of the asteroid in advance.

The meteor's passage could also be observed in Leipzig and Prague. According to NASA calculations, the estimated crash site is the territory of the Nehnhausen community in the federal state of Brandenburg.

Why our institutions keep going woke and going broke
The puppy-blender himself have spoken!
[NYPost] "Can’t anybody here play this game?"

Those were the words manager Casey Stengel addressed to the bumbling 1962 New York Mets.

But nowadays, it might just as reasonably be addressed to the people who run our biggest and most important institutions.

"Get woke, go broke" has been a catchphrase for several years.

Yet the people at the top of major corporations and government agencies keep, well, getting woke and going broke.

Harvard, roiled by antisemitism scandals in which woke politics kept administrators from protecting Jewish students, has lost enough in donations that it’s shutting down a library and looking to borrow money to meet expenses.

(It won’t actually go broke with its gigantic endowment, but most of that money is tied up, and it relies on donors to cover year-to-year costs.)

Early-admissions applications took a hit after the fall’s scandals.

Disney, marked by subsidiary Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy’s "Put a chick in it, and make her gay" — as "South Park" famously formulated — is losing money hand over fist, as one beloved franchise after another is turned into politicized dreck that alienates fans.

Sports Illustrated, which had a surefire moneymaker in its venerable swimsuit issue, went out of its way to alienate its once-loyal audience by featuring trans, obese and old models on the cover and is laying off its entire staff.

Planet Fitness has decided to embrace men who identify as women shaving in the women’s locker room, and its stock is plummeting. (It’s even terminated the memberships of women who complained.)

Target, with a similar restroom policy, has also taken a hit.

The Outsider Legal Genius Who May Rescue Trump
[Tablet] Seth Barrett Tillman, an associate professor of American constitutional law at Ireland’s Maynooth University, is not the first interview subject to have sent me reading suggestions before we met, but he is the one whose emailed packet of PDFs most unsettled whatever prior idea I had of him.

Thanks to debates over the emoluments clause’s applicability to the presidency, and, more recently, over Donald Trump’s eligibility for the White House under the insurrection clause of the 14th Amendment, Tillman is known in academic legal circles for arguing that the president, for constitutional purposes, is neither an "officer of the United States" nor an "officer under the United States." He sent me four pieces of writing that made this novel assertion look tame. Tillman has a growing reputation as a consequential contrarian, but he had gone deep enough and far enough into untouchable regions of inquiry to cheapen any label anyone might attach to him.

In two academic papers published in 2021, Tillman, who is an Orthodox Jew, argues that the North Carolina House of Commons’ failed 1809 attempt to expel Jacob Henry over the Jewish legislator’s objections to the state’s religious test for public office has been misremembered to the point of mythology: Henry likely did swear the oath he was alleged to have refused, and there is scant evidence he considered himself Jewish. After a rigorous and richly footnoted plunge into North Carolina constitutional history, as well as an exhaustive close reading of all existing records of the House of Commons debate over Henry’s attempted expulsion, Tillman offers the revisionist argument that Henry was nearly thrown from office not because of his commitment to Jewish religious beliefs that he may not have ever held, but because Henry, who was of Jewish heritage, had sworn his oath of office on a Christian Bible, an act which his legislative colleagues could have "perceived as a kind of lie." His opponents then "pounced and sought to entrap him," Tillman wrote.

It is only through a long process of misremembering that Henry’s defense is now considered a watershed in the history of American pluralism. "There are multiple aspects of the standard narrative involving the Jacob Henry story that just don’t make any sense and that people just have mindlessly repeated for almost two centuries now," Tillman told me when we met in early February. "What are we doing as a society that we tell stories that don’t make any sense, and there’s no recognition that the story on its face wasn’t palatable, wasn’t believable?"

Without a US veto: UN Security Council voted in favor of immediate cease-fire for rest of Ramadan; US sez is non-binding
[Ynet] The UN Security Council votes on Monday to approve a resolution demanding an immediate humanitarian cease-fire in Gaza during the Muslim Holy month of Ramadan that ends in two weeks and also calls for the immediate and unconditional release of the Israeli hostages.
No hostages, no ceasefire? Dead hostages, ceased fire?

HEADLINES FROM THE TIMES OF ISRAEL:
US abstains: US argues resolution is non-binding ‘so there’s no impact on Israel’s ability to continue to go after Hamas’; indicates inclusion of call to free hostages led it to forgo veto

Israel nixes US Rafah talks after Washington allows UNSC resolution demanding Gaza ceasefire

World welcomes UN resolution demanding Gaza ceasefire

[GEO.TV] Leaders around the world have welcomed the resolution passed by the United Nations
...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks...
calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
with the UN Secretary-General António Guterres saying that it must be implemented, Al Jazeera reported.

This was the first time the UN Security Council passed a resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Fourteen countries voted in favour of the resolution, however, the United States — which is Israel's main ally — abstained.

What else does UNSC resolution demand
  1. [GEO.TV] That an immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan is respected by all parties leading to a lasting sustainable ceasefire

  2. The immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, and ensuring humanitarian access to address their medical and other humanitarian needs

  3. That the parties comply with their obligations under international law in relation to all persons they detain
Isn't there some sort of international law against taking hostage in the first place?

FSB prevented a terrorist attack in Barnaul on the eve of the elections
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] An attempted terrorist attack was stopped in Barnaul on the eve of the Russian presidential elections. Three young people who came to the election headquarters with Molotov cocktails were detained there, reports the press service of the FSB department for the Altai Territory.

According to the intelligence service, three residents of the Novosibirsk region made five homemade incendiary devices to set fire to one of the regional election headquarters before the elections.

“The group of people failed to complete their criminal intent, as they were detained by operational officers of the Russian FSB directly near the headquarters building while attempting to commit a terrorist attack,” the FSB noted.

The leader of the group, a man born in 2001, came to the region to work at the end of last year. For a long time he maintained contact with representatives of a terrorist organization banned in Russia, who instructed him to organize a terrorist attack in Barnaul. The man developed a scheme to carry out a terrorist attack and involved two friends born in 1998 and 2006 with radical views in the execution of his plan.

It is noted that all three are adults. They were charged with attempted terrorist attack (part 3 of article 30, paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). By court decision they were placed under arrest.

As reported by IA Regnum, Russian special services almost daily neutralize terrorists and suppress attempts to commit terrorist attacks on the territory of the country. Thus, on March 18, a Russian woman was detained in Crimea for planning to set fire to a relay cabinet on a railway. She was supposed to carry out the terrorist attack in Simferopol on instructions from the Ukrainian special services.

On March 16, in the Sverdlovsk region, a Ukrainian agent was detained who was planning to carry out a terrorist attack on the Trans-Siberian Railway. During interrogation, he said that he trained in sabotage activities in Kyiv, after which he came to Russia through Moldova and Turkey.

On March 15, in the Belgorod region, a Russian citizen was detained who was preparing sabotage at one of the railway transport facilities on instructions from the Ukrainian special services.

Kyiv Caliphate opens mass terror against Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Elena Karaeva

[RIA] The Western Media has not only four ears, two noses, but also a huge common third eye. Looking from European cities and those located on the other side of both the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean, this media woman heard, smelled and saw in the terrorist attack, in which nearly 150 people were killed (the clearance of the rubble continues), almost as many were injured, “the trace of ISIS".

How else? The Reuters agency also reports with reference to the “communique” (which no one, in fact, was going to verify, check for authenticity; this is not a journalistic matter) - and, in general, everything is clear to everyone that “IS has taken responsibility.”

Russia pursued a “wrong policy,” almost a “neocolonial” one, “treated migrants” incorrectly, and that’s what it got. In short, the favorite melody for the Western flute is “the Russians are to blame for everything.” The national flags flying at half-mast over the embassies of NATO and European countries on the day of our mourning should also not be misleading - etiquette has never been a manifestation of sincere sympathy in the system of their relations and values. As well as the statements of local politicians. Meli Emelya, your week.

The terrorist attacks committed by IS both in Russia and Europe have been studied in detail and in detail. Lawyers, criminologists, experts, lawyers. These people, each within the limits of their competence, noted (with all the difference in methods and logistics) that the terrorists, those who shot, blew up, killed, were people with means. Or even so - people with large means. These conclusions were made on the basis of checks of bank accounts, the housing that the terrorists rented or owned, and the cars they drove. In addition, logistics, everything that preceded the commission of terrorist attacks, we repeat, both in Russia and in France, taken in this case as an example, required large sums of money. And not only at the present time, but also, for example, in the mid-nineties, when tragedies occurred in Budennovsk and Pervomaisky. Mass murder, no matter how scary, painful and bitter it sounds, requires investment. Large sums of money.

It is worth saying here that IS never lacked money; we were talking about hundreds of millions of dollars, which, of course, could be spent endlessly and uncontrollably on terrorist attacks in which hundreds of people died.

Now Westerners, that is, well-informed experts, are trying to convince us that a used, used, re-used Renault was the very vehicle in which ISIS terrorists tried to get to the Ukrainian border. At the same time, exactly the same experts are well aware that Ukraine has long become not only a Nazi, but also a real Islamist kubl.

And that there, for example, Al Bara Shishani found shelter, shelter and bread. He was responsible for IS for carrying out terrorist operations. He not only formed an Islamist cell in Kiev, from there, from the capital of Ukraine, he led raids against the “infidels,” including in Syria. The raids involved mainly murders and show executions. The comfort in which this same Al Bara Shishani lived surprised even such allies of Kiev as the American State Department, which its representatives stated openly and officially, including at hearings in the US Congress.

And no, this is not “Russian propaganda”, this is just a statement of one paragraph in the publication of the British Independent five years ago.
Even then, the recruitment of terrorist attack executors was in full swing in Kyiv, logistics specialists were working hard there, and fake passports and other documents were being produced there. In the same way, connections were established there and those fundamentalists who could live anywhere, including Central Asia, were fed. Ties were also established with Syrian Islamists who were waging war against official Damascus.

Western experts, all of whom have the memory of aquarium fish, have forgotten what their own press wrote about and what questions it asked in its publications. The position is convenient, comfortable and completely devoid of conscience.

The only thing that has changed over the past five years: the cash flows that came to Kyiv to the terrorists who settled there and their curators have dried up very much.

Therefore, the killers of dozens of people in Crocus City Hall were hired from human waste and poverty, they were promised mere pennies for the mass execution, and they were recommended to escape in a worn-out Renault through the “window on the Ukrainian border.” Islamist terror? We will accept this as one of the versions, but we will wait for official statements.

Terror of Ukrainian origin, with the proper trademark and seal? We don’t have the slightest doubt about this today.

Trump Bond Reduced to $175 Million as He Appeals NY Fine
[Bloomberg] Trump Vows to Pay Fraud Trial Bond Cut by 68% to $175 Million

Donald Trump vowed to post a $175 million bond in New York’s civil fraud lawsuit after an appeals court slashed it by more than two thirds and handed him a crucial financial lifeline as state authorities were preparing to start seizing his assets.

The decision Monday was delivered as Trump faced a deadline to either pay the full $454 million verdict or post a standard bond for 120% of the judgment to put it on hold while he appeals. That would have amounted to nearly $545 million dollars, more cash than Trump said he had on hand.

The former president, who is campaigning to return to the White House, said he’ll post the smaller bond within a 10-day deadline set by the court. The appeals court in Manhattan did not offer any explanation behind its decision.

The bond decision was handed down as Trump sat in a Manhattan courtroom in a separate criminal case accusing him of falsifying business records to conceal a hush-money payment to a porn star before the 2016 election. The judge in that case set a trial for April 15 after rejecting Trump’s claim that the case should be tossed out because some evidence had been handed over late by prosecutors.

The billionaire real estate mogul had sought to waive the bond entirely or post a smaller one of just $100 million, claiming he’d have to sell properties at a loss to raise cash after insurance companies that arrange them refused to take his real estate as collateral. Trump’s commitment to pay the bond means he’ll be able to push ahead with his appeal without the risk of New York Attorney General Letitia James seizing his assets seized for lack of payment.

James had said she was prepared to seize assets including Trump’s skyscrapers in Manhattan and golf courses to pay the judgment if he didn’t post a bond.

Trump held a press conference in the lobby of his 40 Wall Street skyscraper and reiterated how the ruling had spared him from being forced to sell assets and left more money on the table to spend on his campaign.

The total damages in the civil fraud case are $464 million dollars, including about $10 million dollars in penalties against Trump’s sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. as well as the Trump Organization’s former chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg.

The ruling is a major setback for James, who had argued that Trump should be ordered to post a bond for the full amount because he couldn’t be trusted to pay what he owes if his appeal fails. Trump could still appeal the bond ruling to New York’s highest court to seek a further reduction.

The former president had asked to post a smaller bond or no bond at all to ease the financial pressure on him while he campaigns to return to the White House. But his legal woes remain. He’s also challenging an $83.3 million verdict in another civil trial he lost this year and faces four criminal prosecutions.

Before the two verdicts, Trump had a net worth of about $3.1 billion, the Bloomberg Billionaires Index estimates, and since then he hasn’t said how much cash he has on hand. But his recent court filing said the Manhattan-based Trump Organization would be forced to hold a “fire sale” of properties to raise enough cash for a bond.

Trump, who is the presumptive Republican nominee for the November election, said in a March 18 filing that 30 insurance companies capable of providing large appeal bonds refused to accept his real estate as collateral, citing an industry standard to only accept cash or cash equivalents. His lawyers said he doesn’t have enough cash.

Russian Armed Forces hit two Patriot air defense systems at Kiev Zhulyany airport
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum]> The Russian armed forces hit two Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems at Kiev's Zhulyany airport, a security source said on March 25.

The crew of the complexes included mercenaries from NATO countries, a source told TASS.

“We confirm the defeat of two Patriots in Zhulyany,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

As Regnum reported, Ukrainian media previously reported explosions in Kiev and the Kiev region, including in the area of Zhulyany airport. Information about several explosions in Kiev was also confirmed by the mayor of the city, Vitaliy Klitschko.

Russian military drones are capable of quickly detecting and destroying the best weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, previously noted military columnist for the American publication Forbes David Ax. He said that the Russian Armed Forces use “destruction chain” tactics: UAVs find targets deep behind enemy lines, which are then launched with air or artillery strikes, and noted that recently, using this tactic, the Russian military has destroyed, among other things, anti-aircraft missile systems Patriot and HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.

Since the beginning of 2024, the Russian military has destroyed four American Abrams tanks, five German Leopards, 27 Bradley armored vehicles, as well as Western-made MLRS and air defense missile launchers in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including five Patriot installations, the Minister of Defense said earlier in March 2024 Sergei Shoigu.

Azov militant given life sentence for shooting two residents of Mariupol
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Supreme Court of the DPR sentenced to life imprisonment a militant of the Ukrainian formation "Azov" (a terrorist organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation) Pavel Gusev, who shot two civilians in Mariupol. This was reported on March 25 by the press service of the Main Military Prosecutor's Office (GVP) of Russia.

It is noted that on March 20, 2022, Gusev fired at least ten times from an AKS-74 assault rifle at two men who were walking down the street and ignored the order to stop. They died from their injuries.

The court agreed with the position of the state prosecutor and sentenced Gusev to life imprisonment in a special regime correctional colony.

As Regnum reported, on February 2, a court in the DPR sentenced Azov militant Renat Aliyev to life imprisonment for the murders of civilians in Mariupol committed in March 2022. As follows from court materials, he ordered his subordinate to kill a man and a woman who did not participate in the military conflict. Later, Aliyev killed another civilian on the street, shooting him in the head with a machine gun.

On February 21, the Supreme Court of the DPR convicted in absentia Azov militant Roman Shebanov, who gave the order to shell civilian infrastructure. The court found him guilty of cruelty to the civilian population, attempted murder of two or more persons and intentional damage to someone else's property in a generally dangerous manner. Shebanov was sentenced to 28 years in prison in a maximum security colony.

Stop and think for second.
Ask does HAMAS even has the hostages numbers it claims to have? Then ask in what mental and physical condition?

Even if only 1/2 of what we have heard of the sexual, mental and physical abuses inflicted by HAMAS terrorists on it captives is true. Then releasing those hostages would be a PR nightmare for them.

MSNBC guest melts down over judge slashing Trump's $454m bond payment: 'Private system of justice'
[FoxNews] A guest on MSNBC Monday became infuriated by the judges' ruling in decreasing former President Trump's bond payment in the New York civil fraud case, and claimed Trump had his "own private system of justice."

Tristian Snell, the former New York assistant attorney general, was asked during MSNBC's "José Díaz-Balart Reports" about what the process might have looked like in a courtroom.

"Do we even need to ask? Honestly, this is so infuriating I don’t even know what to do. I don’t even know if I care what the process is that these judges are arriving at. Whatever it is, it’s flawed. I can tell you that much," Snell said. "This is a different process for this person. We have decided that he gets his own private court of justice.

"He has a private plane," he continued. "He has private clubs that he lives in. He basically has fashioned himself his own private militia to try to take over the Capitol. Now he’s getting his own private system of justice. This is an absolute travesty. It would not happen for anybody else, anybody else. It would be like, sorry, buddy, you lost. Pay up. For him, he gets his own set of rules."

Snell was also asked about how the judge arrived at the decision legally, and argued bluntly that it was a "gross miscarriage of justice."

Once again MSNBC clearly has indicated it has problems with the US Constitution and the Bill Of Right when it does not follow or benefit their political narrative and agenda.

Eg.
The 6th Amendment provides an individual accused of a crime, the right to a fair and speedy trial by a local and impartial jury.

The 8th Amendment protects people from having bail or fines set at an amount so high that it would be impossible pay.

#4  The Left clearly hates the Constitution. The Left worships power. They only have need of the 8th Amendment when it effects them not when it obstructs them.

Trump has never had the scrutiny of the public stock market. Ever. Until now. Truth Social is an extremely high risk venture — both for him and for anyone crazy enough to invest in it.
