[NYPOST] A Bronx gangbanger who was cut loose by a judge only to allegedly murder an innocent man months later is out of jail again, The Post has learned.
Steven Mendez, 17, accused of shooting 21-year-old Saikou Koma in the head during a botched gang hit in Fordham Heights last year, was set free Tuesday when Supreme Court Justice Naita Semaj dismissed the indictment against him, the Bronx District Attorney’s office confirmed.
Semaj gave prosecutors leave to present their case in front of a grand jury, which by law must happen within 45 days. The DA’s office had no further comment.
Koma’s distraught mother, Haja Kaira, told The Post she broke down in tears while streaming Mendez’s court appearance.
“When I hear the judge say, ‘Release him.’ To be honest, I had to stand up,” Kaira said. “I could not believe it. I said out loud, ‘What! Release him?!’”
“The judge believes my son’s life means nothing,” Kaira went on. “This is why they will keep killing because they know there are no consequences.”
The grieving mom said an assistant district attorney who had sent her the link to watch the court proceeding had been seeking life in prison for Mendez before he was freed.
“If not that, he was trying to get the maximum sentence,” Kaira said. “But then the judge just let him free that minute.”
It wasn’t immediately clear what led to the judge’s decision. The Office of Court Administration didn’t respond to an email from The Post on Wednesday.
Even before his guilty plea, Mendez had at least three previous run-ins with the law — including a 2019 case where he allegedly pulled a loaded gun on his own mother. Mendez, allegedly angry after his mother refused to give him money, slapped her with an open hand then pointed a .357 at her, sources said.
His guilty plea came after he was charged for his role as an accomplice in a violent July 17, 2020 robbery in The Bronx that left the victim with a gunshot wound to leg, sources said. Mendez faced charges of first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and felony gun-possession charges.
The then-16-year-old Mendez was prosecuted as a “youthful offender” in that case and had temporarily been placed in a non-secure facility pending sentencing.
But in May 2021, then-Bronx Supreme Court Justice Denis Boyle granted him five years probation. Prosecutors objected to that decision after they sought up to four years, which would’ve been the maximum allowed under youthful offender status.
Boyle had cited a report that said Mendez was performing well in school, The Post reported at the time. A state court spokesman said at the time the judge didn’t think that a prison sentence was appropriate for “a crime committed as an accomplice at the age of 16.”
Youthful offender status for people between 16 and 19 years old means they can get reduced sentenced and sealed criminal records.
On Oct. 24, Mendez and other reputed gangbangers allegedly sought payback for a beatdown of one of their own members. They came upon Koma on Ryer Avenue on Fordham Heights in what sources said was likely a case of mistaken identity.
Mendez was the trigger man who fatally shot Koma in the head, sources said.
Two others were arrested related to the shooting of Koma, a college student.
[CNBC] Gross domestic productunexpectedly declined 1.4% in the first quarter, marking an abrupt reversal for an economy coming off its best performance since 1984, the Commerce Department reported Thursday.
The negative growth rate missed even the subdued Dow Jones estimate of a 1% gain for the quarter.
A plethora of factors conspired to weigh against growth during the first three months of 2022, which fell off a cliff following the 6.9% gain to close out last year.

I think the dems messed up a bit. They were supposed to crash the economy and let a pub administration inherit it.

Will be a perfect time for the new pub congress to say "there's no money, we can't borrow more, our hands are tied."
Of course, that won't happen...

This is, as we learned in the 1970s, the only way to stop inflation. Best to take our medicine now. The longer you wait, as we also learned in the 1970s, the worse the medicine is.

Just priced some things since end of 1st quarter, new 2nd quarter prices.
Good news is Biden may get his opportunity to make a re-election bid. Any other Dem would be stupid to stamp on the burning lunch bag that this Administration has left on our doorstep. Abrams might run but she probably has Galactic ambitions.

[Dawn] A police official was martyred when unknown button men attacked him in Wana, the headquarters of South Wazoo district, on Wednesday.
Residents said Assistant Sub-Inspector Aslam Javed was walking after Iftar in the main town when attackers driving a non-custom paid car opened fire on him near Pir Sultan Mosque. He died instantly.
The body of the martyred official was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Wana.
According to doctors, the official received two bullets in head.
The police said investigations had begun into the killing.
[Dawn] TUESDAY’s suicide kaboom at the Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... University may be the harbinger of a new and unexpected dimension in the dynamics of terrorism in Pakistain, particularly the Baloch insurgency.
It was appalling enough that a jacket wallah had targeted the faculty of the Confucius Institute on campus, killing three Chinese nationals and their Pak driver on the spot. But the shock was further compounded when the identity of the attacker came to light. Less than an hour following the incident, the banned Baloch Liberation Army took to social media to claim responsibility and announce that the bomber was a woman named Shaari Baloch.
Details emerging later revealed her to be a highly educated mother of two young children, belonging to a well-established family and working as a school teacher in her native Turbat, Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... . Moreover, it appears that no one in her close family was missing or had ever been forcibly disappeared — all of which adds up to an unlikely profile for a suicide bomber. It does, however, suggest that the insurgency is evolving in a direction that makes it imperative for the authorities to revisit their approach to it.
Suicide attacks, which involve an implicit belief in a reward in the afterlife for the act of ’self-sacrifice’, have almost always been the preserve of religious Death Eater groups, with some notable exceptions such as Sri Lanka’s Tamil Tigers. Much like the latter, the Baloch insurgency too is based on a secular ideology, and the KU bombing is among few such attacks perpetrated by the separatists.
The phenomenon ofexploding trollop female suicide bombers is also rare in Pakistain, and except for the very first instance in the 1980s — the details of which remain unknown — three other such attacks, in 2010 and 2011, were claimed by the TTP. For a woman like Shaari Baloch to choose to go down this route despite her not disadvantageous circumstances is significant, and speaks to an increasing frustration in Baloch society.
Enforced disappearances, profiling of Baloch students at university campuses, the province’s lack of agency over the proceeds of its natural resources, etc have exacerbated the yawning deficit between the people and the state. That combined with increasing access to information via social media and deeper engagement in nationalist discourse has seen young Baloch become less reticent about expressing their anger and resentment, even in interactions with the military’s big shotship. It is a critical point in time.
That said, to attack soft targets is utterly reprehensible. And for teachers to be singled out, as happened in the latest instance, is all the more surprising given that the current insurgency is distinguished from its previous iterations by the fact that its support base largely comprises educated young Baloch.
For there to be any possibility of peaceful coexistence, the Baloch must shun such acts of senseless violence and the authorities reach out to them.
[Breitbart] Britannia’s Justice Tsar was greeted by shouts of ’Allahu Akbar’ on a visit to a UK prison, in which Islamists are now said to be running amok.
Islamists are reportedly running riot within Britannia’s prison system, frequently being left alone by staff who apparently fear accusations of racism or homophobia should they try and restore order. homophobia?
Such are the findings of a report on the prevalence of terrorist behaviour in UK prisons, which has released not long after Britannia’s deputy Prime Minister and Justice Tsar, Dominic Raab, was reportedly greeted by chants of "Allahu Akbar" while visiting Woodhill Prison in England.
According to a report by The Times, prisoners greeted Conservative Party bigwig with the Islamist-linked slogan during his visit to the facility, the purpose of which was to promise harsher action on extremism within the UK’s incarceration system.
Such action seems to be badly needed, with an independent report finding that hard boyMoslemhard boyz are obtaining ever-greater control over prison life, with unofficial "emirs" or Islamist commanders becoming de facto decision-makers within jails with which actual prison staff are forced to routinely cooperate with.
According to the report, these Islamist hard boyz are exercising soft power in prisons so as to exclude fellow inmates who don’t live according to their rules from prison amenities, such as kitchens and showers.
Such radical Moslems have even become so powerful as to be able to hold their own sharia courts behind bars, with floggings reportedly being conducted as punishment for rulebreakers.
This status quo is somehow maintained, according to the report, with "insincere allegations of racism and Islamophobia ...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do... " directed toward staff who attempt to intervene, who often back down for fear of being labelled a bigot.
"HMPPS officials sometimes doubt the extent to which it is possible to distinguish terrorist risk behaviour from other behaviour," the report reads. "They worry about making false assumptions based on a lack of cultural familiarity with Islam or Moslems."
The report concludes by recommending that the process of using so-called "separation centres" — which see hard boyz cut off from the rest of the prison population — should be streamlined so as to reduce terror-related risk in prisons, and that staff should receive more training to recognise danger signs.
In response to the crisis behind bars in Britannia, authorities look set to attempt a clampdown on Islamist radicals.
While current human rights When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much... law in the UK is seemingly making it difficult to use "separation centres" effectively, the Conservative Party look set to curb protections in the hopes of combating Islamism in prisons.
Warning that such hard boyz "will poison the well, they will radicalise if they’re left in general population", Raab said that he and his colleagues would stop inmates from using "cultural and religious sensitivities" to exercise control and recruit more terrorists.
"We must nip in the bud the kind of coercive controlling behaviour by hard boyz which can lead to radicalisation and terrorism," the Deputy PM told Sky News, before saying that he wants to take away the right of radical prisoners to socialise with their fellow inmates.
[Breitbart] The Spanish government has revoked the nationality of 78 babies from Moroccan mothers who gave birth in a Spanish North African exclave and lied about the father of their child being Spanish.
The women were clients of an organised criminal group which paid men of Spanish nationality to sign documentation declaring themselves the father of the babies after they were born in the North African city of Melilla, in order that the children to receive Spanish nationality.
The women are said to have entered Melilla before giving birth and were put in contact with men of Spanish nationality by the criminal network, with the men being paid between €1,500 and €3,000 (£1,261-£2523/$1,607-$3215) for stating they were the biological father of the children at the Civil Registry of Melilla, newspaper El Pais reports.
By their children attaining Spanish nationality, the women were then allowed to apply for residency themselves in Spain and police say that, in turn, allowed for family reunification and the children’s real fathers could be brought to Spain later as well.
While police say they do not know how long the criminal network has been operating, they say that at least 117 people, including fake fathers, mothers and intermediaries, were involved in the network. So far 79 people have been arrested and 38 others remain wanted and on the lam. Additionally, 78 babies have had their citizenships revoked after the fraud was detected.
Melilla, which borders Morocco and is one of the two Spanish exclaves on the African mainland, has seen multiple attempts by illegal immigrants colonists in recent years to climb the high fences of the city and make an attempt to claim asylum in Spain.
Earlier this year in March, a group of around 1,200 illegals attempted to climb the 20-foot high barrier, with 380 migrants colonists successfully scaling the border barrier and gaining access to Spanish territory.
Not all illegal immigrants colonists attempt to scale the walls, however. In February, five suspected members of a people trafficking network were charged for helping migrants colonists sneak into the city by boat, with migrants colonists being charged €4,000 (£3,370/$4,566) or more for the trip.
[Breitbart] Far-left Antifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... holy warriors protested and rioted in multiple French cities following the election victory of President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday, with festivities breaking out between police and Antifa bad boys.
Demonstrations and riots broke out in several French cities on Sunday night, following the announcement that President EmmanuelMmacron had secured victory in the second round of the French presidential elections, defeating rival Marine Le Pen.
In Gay Paree, several hundred people gathered at the Place du Châtelet before they were dispersed by police and then later gathered at the Place de la République, where they demonstrated against Macron, with one writing "Antifa" on the statue of the monument of the Republic, while others threw projectiles at police, La Belle Franceinfo reports.
Police made several attempts to charge protestors in order to disperse them and at least 12 people were arrested during the course of the evening, but no injuries were reported.
In Lyon, festivities broke out between far-left holy warriors and police shortly after the result of the election was announced, with holy warriors attacking the town hall of the 4th arrondissement, as well as attacking a cop shoppe and a local bank.
The French riot police, the CRS, were present at the scene and deployed tear gas on the holy warriors to disperse the crowd and carried out identity checks. At least one person was arrested.
Tensions were also reported in Rennes, Nantes, Marseilles, Strasbourg and Toulouse ...lies on the banks of the River Garonne, half-way between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The Toulouse metropolitan area is the fourth-largest in La Belle France... . In Rennes, around 250 holy warriors erupted into the streets and set fires, while also clashing with police. Seven people were arrested during the course of the rioting.
Rennes had seen rioting after the first round of the presidential election as well, with at least 500 holy warriors taking part in a riot that saw windows of local shops smashed, and graffiti calling for "social war."
In the centre of Nantes, 400 to 500 people gathered and marched behind a banner that called for a revolution in the country.
Antifa extremism remains a major issue in La Belle France, with the Macron government taking a major step prior to the election by banning a Lyon branch of the murderous Moslem group over calls of violence toward police as well as past violent mostly peaceful actions by members of the group.

By now, most people see ANTI-FA is NOT a US homegrown grassroots radical Antifascist political movement started against Trump. But a Movement started by deep pockets to achieve or maintain certain political wants, goals and/or to maintain a Status Quo.

It is my understanding that Antifa started in Germany in the 1930s battling the Nazi Brownshirts in the streets. It dates back to Antifaschistische Aktion, set up by the Stalinist Communist Party of Germany (KPD).

I'm not that familiar with French politics; but from what I know, it seems a stretch to lable Macron a Fascist. Or are they just rioting for the sake of rioting?

Macron is the status quo. He's a globalist. How is antifa rioting against him? Why would they attack their own side?
Today's antifa has no connection to the 1930s one. They like to pretend they do, though because it makes them sound cool.

Sometimes you need to demonstrate that you are a force to be reckoned with, and must be heard. If you are a source of violence, hence always newsworthy, you get a disproportionate level of influence. That your rank-and-file are just hired mutts and crazies means nothing, and their arrest or loss is unimportant, there are always more. What is important is the limousines parked in the alley behind the organizational headquarters planning the next event, and whose agents ride in them. Until they are arrested for conspiracy, and roll over on the actual puppet masters and the source of their "Dark Money", its all mystery to the uninformed across the world.

Interesting candor from an Indian source.
"Muslim Population is increasing rapidly in secular democratic nations while being restricted in Muslim countries because they have nothing to conquer. They grow to outnumber the Kaffirs and then impose Sharia law or Islamic control in the nation...
A reminder that the big, relatively rich Shiite country next door is keeping an eye on their religious compatriots. Not to mention borrowing some of them for a few years to give them military training in faraway lands — perhaps they, too, will one day be Iranian catspaws striking out on Iran’s orders.
[ToloNews] Families of victims of the mosque blast in northern Mazar-e-Sharif city gained cash assistance from the Iranian Consulate General in Mazar-e-Sharif.
The twenty-three families who lost their loved ones received $500 dollars, and 63 families whose members were maimed received $300 dollars.
This follows a kaboom that targeted worshippers offering prayers in the She-Dokan Mosque in Mazar-e-Sharif on Thursday. More than 30 worshippers were killed, and 87 others were maimed in the blast.
The consulate general said that the families would receive food, medicine and clothes packages in addition to cash assistance.
"Today, a military aircraft is landing in Mazar-e-Sharif from Iran ...The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both... to bring humanitarian aid including food, medicine and clothes and we hope these will be distributed very correctly between families of the victims and needy people," said Sayed Hussain Yahyawe, head of the Consulate General.
The families gathered to receive the assistance and said that almost all of them are struggling with economic challenges.
Atta Mohammad, a resident of Mazar-e-Sharif, talked about the blast. "We had started prayers, it blew up, there was smoke and dust everywhere ... all were shocked and horrified," said Atta Mohammad.
Mohammad Aref, a resident of Mazar-e-Sharif, lost his 20-year-old son at the incident. Mohammad Aref called the blast a crime against humanity and stated that these incidents must come to an end.
"These incidents must be prevented, how long should people be martyred and suffer? People suffered for more than four decades," said Mohammad Aref.
Meanwhile, ...back at the barn, Bossy was furiously chewing her cud and thinking... the Ottoman Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has provided food assistance to 350 needy families in Mazar-e-Sharif.
Families who received aid, said they lost their employment and are struggling with severe poverty. They asked for job opportunities to start work.
More kaffir funds donated to Talib Big Turban pockets.
[KhaamaPress] The United Nations ...boodling on the grand scale... Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) in Afghanistan announced that the Netherlands has contributed an additional EUR 20 million for humanitarian purposes in Afghanistan.
The UNOCHA in a Twitter post on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, said that the money will be supporting emergency life-saving responses to assist the most vulnerable people in need in Afghanistan.
...whatever is left after various officials take their baksheesh.
As per the UN office, the Netherlands has contributed EUR 49 million to the Afghanistan humanitarian fund since 2016.
The assistance is good timing as Afghanistan is going through the worst humanitarian condition in its history with 24 million people in need of life-saving assistance while 95 of the population is under the poverty line.
Oddly enough, they didn’t have this problem before the Talibs took over last August. What could have made the difference?
[ToloNews] The Ministry of Vice and Virtue said it has formed local offices in order to investigate the problems of the people who complained about harassment from the forces of the Islamic Emirate.
“We’re the government and we’re here to help.”
The move comes after reports were published over harassment by individuals related to the Islamic Emirate.
“I see you made a complaint about my cousin’s son-in-law’s nephew Abdulmahmudullahaddin. That was a mistake, you say? I’ll just mark it as resolved, then.”
The ministry called on the people to file complains if they face any mistreatment by the Islamic Emirate forces.
"The responsibility of this department is to register the complaints of the people if they are being mistreated by our military," said Mohammad Sadeq Akis, a front man for the ministry.
Meanwhile, ...back at the the conspirators' cleverly concealed hideout the long-awaited message arrived. They quickly got to work with their decoder rings... Kabul residents called on the ministry to transparently probe the complaints of the people.
"When a soldier is doing his duty, he should consider that he is being monitored," said Najib Rahman, a resident of Kabul.
"(Those) who violated the general amnesty—which must be respected by the members of the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... -- should be brought to justice," said Mahmood Raghi, a political analyst.
That won’t help those already murdered and so forth by the turbans, but it’s a nice sentiment.
However, there's more than one way to stuff a chicken... analysts said that addressing discipline problems is the responsibility of the security institutions.
"Any kind of security and stability in the capital and in the provinces is the responsibility of the police and Ministry of Interior," said Samar Sadat, a military veteran.
This comes as citizens have voiced concerns over mistreatment at the hands of individuals related to the Islamic Emirate.
[Townhall] Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ...Republican governor of Florida, stone in the shoe of the Dems and their ilk, maybe one-day president... signed a law on Monday aimed at ensuring the Sunshine State's elections are secure. Officially known as Senate Bill 524, the new law instructs Florida's election officials to take further steps to ensure voter rolls are up-to-date, provides for more transparency in elections and stiffer penalties for fraud, and creates a new office to investigate alleged election irregularities.
The Office of Election Crimes and Security, as it will be called, falls under the Florida Department of State and has multiple duties. In addition to "receiving and reviewing notices and reports generated by government officials or any other person regarding alleged occurrences of election law violations or election irregularities," the office will launch "independent inquiries" and conduct "preliminary investigations into allegations." The Office of Election Crimes and Security will also oversee the Florida Department of State's "voter fraud hotline," and complete annual reports to be sent to Florida's governor and legislative leaders.

[Rudaw] Jean-Nicolas Beuze, the UNHCR Representative in Iraq since November 2021, spoke to Rudaw last week about the situation of Syrian refugees in the Kurdistan Region, praising the recent move to integrate children into the Region’s public schools, and warning of both the agency’s limited humanitarian funding, and the fraud schemes targeting some of the most vulnerable.
The Syrian conflict has displaced over 240,000 Syrians of Kurdish origin to the Kurdistan Region, mainly from northeast Syria (Rojava), and the UN Refugee Agency official opened the interview by commending the Region for welcoming so many, and providing them with a safe place to "rebuild" their lives.
"Over the last ten years, their children have been able to go to school, sick patients have been able to have access to medical care, and a lot of Syrians have found jobs'' in Erbil, Duhok, and Sulaimani, the official told Rudaw’s Dilbixwin Dara. "The Kurdish and Iraqi people have shown a lot of compassion, a lot of empathy [and] a lot of support for their refugee brothers and sisters."

[Rudaw] Around 50 square kilometers of woodland have been damaged in Duhok in 2021 due to the conflict between The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), the head of Duhok’s forestry and agriculture directory told Rudaw on Wednesday, as he lamented the destruction of the Region’s forests.
For years, Duhok has played host to the decades-long conflict between the PKK and Turkey in the Kurdistan Region, being the subject of constant bombardment and other offenses that have harmed Duhok, its people, and its environment greatly.
Kawa Sabri, head of Duhok’s forestry and agriculture directory, told Rudaw on Wednesday that some 18-20,000 dunams (between 45 and 50 square kilometers) of forest and over 1,200 dunams (three square kilometers) of agricultural fields in Duhok - from the Zakho border to Amedi - were damaged last year due to the continuous conflict. An Iraqi dunam is roughly 2,500 square meters.
[Rudaw] Nine children in northeast Syria (Rojava) have been killed and many others maimed due to attacks by Ottoman Turkish armed forces since the beginning of the year, according to local media reports published on Wednesday, as The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... continues to intensify its military offenses.
Turkey often targets Rojava, killing and injuring civilians and security forces, and has conducted several military operations in the area since 2016. It claims that the People’s Protection Units (YPG), the backbone of the SDF, is the Syrian offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) — an gang struggling for the increased rights of Kurds in Turkey and considered a terrorist organization by Ankara.
A human rights ...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless... watchdog from Rojava’s Jazira region stated that the attacks are continuing and intensifying as a result of the silence and lack of action on behalf of the international community and rights groups. Human Rights Organization Jazeera, a rights group which calls itself independent and claims to have no political affiliation, also called for international recognition of Ottoman Turkish occupation of Syrian land, and for the country to be held accountable.
"The hostile acts committed by Turkey and its transgression of Syrian land is a clear occupation, which must be recognized internationally and hold it accountable for all the war crimes it committed against the safe Syrian civilians inside their lands," Hawar News Agency (ANHA), a media outlet affiliated with Kurdish authorities in Rojava, cited Aveen Jumaa, head of the rights watchdog as saying.
The outlet also reported that nine children have been killed and 24 others maimed in suspected Ottoman Turkish attacks on the districts of Ain Issa, Zirgan, and Tel Tamer in 2022, also reporting 21 women killed and maimed.
Jumaa added that international committees and rights groups condemn the violations committed in the area, but do not explicitly condemn the Ottoman Turkish state "despite their actual participation in them."
Gire Spi (Tal Abyad) and the neighboring Sari Kani (Ras al-Ain) were controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), until Turkey and its Syrian proxies invaded in October 2019. Both towns were Kurdish-majority, but most people of the ethnicity have fled to other areas under the control of the SDF.
Sari Kani and Gire Spi now lie at opposite ends of a resulting ’buffer zone’ under the control of Ottoman Turkish-backed militias.
[Garowe] Rebellious Tigrayan forces are fully withdrawing from the neighbouring area of Afar in Æthiopia, a spokesperson for the Tigrayan forces advised Rooters on Monday, saying he hoped it meant that desperately wanted meals support might lastly pour into famine-hit Tigray.
"Our forces have left all of Afar," Getachew Reda, a spokesperson for the Tigray Folks’s Liberation Entrance (TPLF), advised Rooters on Monday.
Afar’s police commissioner Ahmed Harif mentioned Tigrayan forces had withdrawn from the city of Abala however had been nonetheless in three of the area’s districts.
He mentioned the forces had been additionally accountable for the freeway between Abala and Tigray’s capital Mekelle, and that he was in contact with native officers and militias who had been protecting him up to date.
Authorities spokesperson Legesse Tulu couldn’t be reached for a remark.
Combating in northern Æthiopia, which started in November 2020 within the Tigray area and spilled over into Afar's final 12 months, has eased because the federal authorities declared a unilateral ceasefire final month, saying it will enable humanitarian support to enter.
Tigrayan forces mentioned they might respect the ceasefire so long as enough support was delivered to their area "inside cheap time".
Solely a trickle of support has made it into Tigray, the place greater than 90% of the inhabitants want meals support because the Æthiopian army pulled out at the finish of June after months of bloody festivities.
The United Nations ...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense... has blamed forms and insecurity for blocking convoys and mentioned at least 100 vans of support are wanted to enter Tigray on daily basis.
Solely 144 vans have made it in because the ceasefire was introduced a month in the past, with the newest 74 arriving on Monday, in keeping with the U.N. World Meals Programme.
It was unclear if the pull-out was negotiated with the Æthiopian authorities.
The battle in northern Æthiopia has killed hundreds of civilians and displaced hundreds of thousands throughout three areas in Æthiopia and into neighboring Sudan.
The TPLF has accused Æthiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed of attempting to centralize energy at the expense of the areas and Abiy has accused the TPLF of attempting to regain nationwide energy — accusations either side has denied.
[BenarNews] President Rodrigo Duterte signed a law this month that sets up a board to compensate people who lost their homes in Marawi during a five-month battle after Islamic holy warriors seized the southern Philippine city in 2017, his front man said Wednesday.
Street fighting between government forces and pro-Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... holy warriors, combined with aerial bombardments by the military, left much of this once-picturesque lakeside city in ruins.
Nearly five years after the military ended the siege and killed top holy warriors who led it, sections of Marawi — the only predominantly Moslem city in the majority-Catholic Philippines — remain uninhabitable. Thousands of families live in transitional shelters.
They’ve been thoroughly punished enough for hosting the local branch of ISIS. Perhaps next time they’ll push back against the jihadis.
"President Duterte has signed Republic Act 11696 which gives compensation to those who lost their property and those who lost lives in the 2017 Marawi siege," acting presidential front man Martin Andanar told news hounds on Wednesday.
The law, which Duterte signed two weeks ago, allows the creation of a nine-member compensation board, but it does not state a figure for how much money Marawi residents could receive to compensate them for homes or properties destroyed during the fighting.
"According to this law, an independent and quasi-judicial body called Marawi Compensation Board will be created and will have a chairman and eight members which will be appointed by the president," he said.
More than 1,200 holy warriors, soldiers, police and non-combatants were killed when Islamic State holy warriors from the Middle East and Southeast Asia joined Filipino fighters who took over Marawi in May 2017. Government forces reclaimed the city in late October that year.
In January, the Philippine Senate passed its version of the act after the House passed similar legislation that were reconciled and sent to Duterte. The reconciled act did not specify amounts to be awarded or the number of people who would benefit from it.
The president signed the law on April 13, barely two months before he will be required to leave office at the end of June. Voters are to go to the polls on May 9 to elect his successor along with 12 members of the Senate, all 316 members of the House of Representatives as well as thousands of officials, who range from governors and mayors to village chiefs and council members.
[Garowe] More than 20 people have been killed in an attack on Moslems in the northern Æthiopian city of Gondar during the funeral of a Moslem elder, a local Islamic group said on Wednesday.
The Islamic Affairs Council of Amhara, the region where Gondar is located, described Tuesday's attack at a cemetery as a "massacre" by heavily armed "extremist Christians."
Interesting. And what triggered local Christians to attack?
The attackers "fired a barrage of heavy machine guns and grenades... leaving many dead while others who were maimed have been taken to hospital," the religious body said.
"More than 20 have died due to yesterday's attack which also saw the looting of Moslem properties," it added.
The mayor of Gondar, Zewdu Malede, told Æthiopian public broadcaster EBC that the "incident was carried out by a few bad boy individuals."
"There has been some destruction and loss of lives from all sides," he said, without offering further details about the identity of the attackers or the victims.
"The situation was (brought) under control by 7:00 pm."
The cemetery where the attack occurred neighbours a mosque and church and has been the subject of an ongoing dispute between Moslems and Orthodox Christians, who are the dominant group in Æthiopia.
"Although ongoing wide-ranging measures have been taken to invade the... cemetery, the place has been historically at all times a Moslem cemetery," the Islamic Affairs Council said in its statement.
Tuesday's violence erupted like lava from a volcano as people clashed over using stones from the area for burial purposes, fighting over whether the materials were being taken from the cemetery or church compound, the Amhara regional government said in a statement.
It sounds like the Moslems raided Christian graves, which does tend to annoy friends and relations of the deceased...
The government described the dear departedMoslem elder as "a father to Gondar city residents, Gondar Christians, and Moslems as well as a father to all" and vowed to investigate the attack and hold the perpetrators accountable.
- 'BREAK PEOPLE'S UNITY -
"An effort has been made to break the people's unity in the historic city of Gondar, a symbol of co-existence and tolerance, by aiming to create conflict using religion as a guide," the government said.
A senior Moslem official in the capital Addis Ababa told AFP on condition of anonymity that "the attack was planned" and said the gunnies set fire to the mosque and the Koran.
The city's mayor said the attackers were snuffies who had sought "to burn down, to destroy, to destabilize and to loot Gondar."
"This in no way represents the Moslem and Christian communities," he added.
Moslems make up about one-third of Æthiopia's population of 110 million and are a small minority in Amhara, the country's second-most-populous region which is dominated by Orthodox Christians.
In 2019, multiple mosques were attacked in the town of Mota in Amhara, more than 350 kilometers (217 miles) north of Addis Ababa, in a wave of religious violence that sparked condemnation by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
Analysts caution that conflicts that appear to be rooted in religion in Æthiopia are often also shaped by disputes over land use, ethnicity, and other issues.

Doesn't mean you can't shoot them first. Remember that when you ask What Would Jesus Do?, the answer might involve knocking over tables and chasing people with around with whips.
If only Master of the Universe and over-exuberant sensualist Mr. Bill Gates had concentrated in ensuring basic vaccinations instead of trying to make a killing in Covid-19...
[AlAhram] Measles cases have surged by nearly 80 percent worldwide this year, the UN said Wednesday, warning that the rise of the "canary in a coal mine" illness indicates that outbreaks of other diseases are likely on the way.
The coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... pandemic has interrupted vaccination campaigns for non-Covid diseases around the world, creating a "perfect storm" that could put millions of children's lives at risk, the UN's children's agency UNICEF and the World Health Organization said in a statement.
More than 17,300 measles cases were reported globally in January and February, compared to around 9,600 during those months last year, according to new data from the UN agencies.
There have been 21 large and disruptive measles outbreaks in the last 12 months to April, most of them in Africa and the eastern Mediterranean, the data showed.
Christopher Gregory, a senior health adviser in UNICEF's immunization section, told AFP that because measles is the "most contagious vaccine-preventable disease" it often serves as a warning sign.
"Measles is what we call the tracer, or the canary in the coal mine, that really shows us where those weaknesses in the immunization system are," he said.
He said yellow fever was among the diseases that could surge next after rising cases were reported in West Africa.
"We're particularly worried about those countries that are most fragile, where the healthcare systems are already really struggling, where they're still trying to deal with the impacts of Covid on top of these outbreaks," he said.
Somalia recorded by far the most measles cases in the last 12 months with more than 9,000, the UN data showed, followed by Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... , Afghanistan, Nigeria, and Æthiopia -- all countries battling some form of conflict.
There are also fears that the war in Ukraine could spark a resurgence in the country after it recorded Europe's highest rate of measles between 2017-and 2019.
Gregory said that it had been very difficult to keep track of any disease in Ukraine since the war began, adding that the biggest concern was "what we could be missing".
IMPACT 'FELT FOR DECADES'
More than 23 million children missed out on routine vaccinations in 2020 as the Covid pandemic descended, the largest number in more than a decade.
The UN agencies said that 57 vaccination campaigns in 43 countries postponed at the start of the pandemic had still not been completed, affecting 203 million people -- most of them children.
Covid also continues to pile pressure on healthcare facilities and drag staffing and attention away from vaccination for long-standing deadly diseases.
"The impact of these disruptions to immunization services will be felt for decades to come," WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in the statement.
"Now is the moment to get essential immunization back on track and launch catch-up campaigns so that everybody can have access to these life-saving vaccines."
Gregory said it was time to put childhood immunization on "at least the same level of priority as finishing Covid vaccination".
Measles is a disease caused by a virus that attacks mainly children. The most serious complications include blindness, brain swelling, diarrhea, and severe respiratory infections.
Vaccination uptake of at least 95 percent is the best way to avoid it spreading, though many countries fall far short of that goal -- Somalia is at just 46 percent, according to the UN data.
President Joe Biden defended teachers Wednesday, decrying GOP-led efforts in some states to ban books and shape curriculum
'Today, there are too many politicians trying to score political points banning books,' Biden said in the East Room as he hosted the Teachers of the Year
'All because it doesn't fit somebody's political agenda,' Biden said
He added of teachers, 'We have got to stop making them the target of the culture wars'
In comments that quickly incensed conservatives online, Biden told the group representing the best teachers in the nation, 'They are all our children'
'They are not somebody's else children. They're like yours when they're in the classroom,' the president said

Our governor, who bragged about how she got her job by who she slept with, one of those strange old single lesb!@ns, has in her commercial a classroom setting, naturally, to show her dedication to education, of course.
Here's the thing. The child is sitting at desk, and she, Ms. Kelley, comes up from behind, has her head on little kid's should, and is reaching around both right and left to help with the desk items.
"Can't be that weird, H8TR!" Uhmmmm...it is: Creepy Uncle Joe weird.
15 second still frame of Gov. Kelly giving that child the reach-around while trapped at her desk, captioned, "Keep Big Mouse away from our toddlers." Campaign Over other than Republican Primary.

No, she is an absolute kreeper, like in the link, all coming in from behind on children. Can't find the commercial, strangely enough. With all the takes they could have kept, the little girl still has a face like, "OMG I can smell her nose breath!"

The Kansas Senate on Monday voted to override Gov. Laura Kelly’s veto on The Fairness in Women’s Sports Act, a bill that would ban biological male athletes from competing in women’s school sports across the state.
Also known as SB 160, the legislation “requires interscholastic, intercollegiate, intramural, or club athletic teams or sports that are sponsored by public educational institutions” to ban male students from joining teams or sports “designated for females.”
It does not ban female athletes or girls from participating in men’s or boys’ sports.

^ Funny thing. For the longest time the US Fencing sport wouldn't let females fence males nor use anything but foils (no epees or sabers). The reason given of course was the safety of the poor, weak ladies. The actual reason was that before intersex bouts were banned, Helena Meyer immigrated to the US and beat the s#it out of ALL the competition in all 3 weapons.

If I had a daughter competing at a high level in college sports, I'd have years of encouraging her, driving her to practice in high school, maybe money invested in outside training, and of course a father's unconditional love for his daughter. If all her effort was wiped out by some a$$hole guy (sorry not sorry, trans is bullshit) being allowed to compete as a female. I'd. Be. Royally. Pi$$ed...

Would be even more reason not to do that, but I'd be making faces too if it were take whatever some stranger touching my shoulders at that age.
Absolutely. See that shoe commercial pandering toward dudes in women's sports, absolutely Barkley dunking at the net on two gals...my daughter's face catching that...Basketball getting a knee blown out by a power forward chuck...softball dude drilling back at the pitcher with a metal bat. Ludicrous.
[IsraelTimes] Walid Abu Madiam was caught in Jerusalem’s Old City in November 2020 with a knife and a screwdriver and convicted of attempting to stab a police officer or IDF soldier
An Israeli man from the southern Bedouin city of Rahat was sentenced to 14 years in prison on Wednesday for planning a terror attack against security forces at Jerusalem’s Temple Mount holy site in November 2020.
Walid Abu Madiam, now 23, arrived in Jerusalem on November 6, 2020, armed with a utility knife and a screwdriver. Prosecutors said he planned to murder a police officer or a soldier by stabbing them in the neck, and was driven by nationalistic motives.
Beersheba District Court Judge Daniel Ben Tolila told the court that Abu Madiam’s sentence took into account the fact that he was an Israeli citizen.
According to Haaretz, Ben Tolila wrote in his ruling that Abu Madiam’s citizenship means that "he has a duty of loyalty to the state," and therefore his intention to commit terror was even more severe.
Abu Madiam had told his wife the plan before heading to Jerusalem and asked her not to tell anyone, according to the indictment. She tried to dissuade him, but he warned that he would divorce her if she revealed the plan to anyone.
He called a friend and asked him to give him a ride to Jerusalem to pray. On the way, Abu Madiam’s behavior prompted the friend to ask whether he was planning an attack, and he confessed.
According to the indictment, the friend immediately stopped the car and told him to rethink his plan. Abu Madiam then claimed he had been joking and was in fact going to attack a man who had disrespected his wife. That persuaded the friend to continue.
*sigh*
Abu Madiam got off at Damascus Gate around 1 a.m., the indictment says, and tried to make his way to al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount. His behavior raised the suspicion of police forces near the Lion’s Gate, and he was arrested and taken for questioning by police and the Shin Bet security agency.
He reportedly stated that he was motivated to attack due to the fact that "Israel abuses those who come to the Temple Mount and soldiers beat Arabs for no reason."
He was indicted several weeks later and convicted in January 2022 of attempted murder with terrorist intent.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi arrived in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah on Wednesday, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Mecca’s governor Prince Khaled al-Faisal, the Kingdom’s ambassador to Yemen Mohammed al-Jaber and other officials received Alimi at King Abdulaziz International Airport, the report added.
Al-Alimi was picked to head the eight-man leadership council, which assumed power from former President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadii earlier this month.
On April 19, the council performed a largely symbolic swearing-in in Aden in front of members of a parliament elected in 2003.
A fragile, UN-brokered truce has been holding since April 2, the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, providing a rare respite from fighting.

[FoxNews] A man who killed a police officer in South Carolina over the weekend did so intentionally, tracking him with his rifle before firing the fatal shot, a police chief said during a press conference Tuesday.
Cayce Public Safety Officer Roy Andrew "Drew" Barr was shot and killed Sunday after he responded to a domestic violence call at a residence shortly before 3 a.m., when a woman told dispatch a man was threatening her and her child with a rifle, the department said.
That man, later identified as 36-year-old Austin Leigh Henderson, was intentional in his actions, shooting Barr once inside the home, then firing again at a group of officers who were attempting to pull Barr to safety, Cayce Police Chief Chris Cowen said.
"He was calculated in what he did. He murdered our officer," Cowen said at the presser.
After firing at the officers, Henderson reportedly put his wife and daughter in a closet, keeping them in a hostage situation for hours before he died of a self-inflicted wound, police said.

[Jpost] A video of what appears to be Israelis fighting for Ukraine has been circulating on social media since Sunday, as Russia's invasion has entered into its third month.
"We want to give many thanks to all the nation of Israel, to the government of Israel, for helping us while we can fight against the Russians, in this difficult war," said one fighter in accented Hebrew.
The footage was posted by a popular Twitter account of a Canadian volunteer that claims to be fighting the Russian military in the Kherson area. The strategic port city of Kherson was conquered by Russia early in the war.
UKRAINIAN FOREIGN LEGION
It is unknown if the alleged Israelis shown in the video are joint Ukrainian-Israeli citizens who have enlisted into the main military branches of Ukraine's armed forces or have enlisted as foreign fighters.
Ukraine has formed a foreign legion division and a foreign fighter special forces unit for foreign volunteers. The Ukrainian military has claimed that 20,000 foreigners from 52 countries have applied to enlist. The International Legion of Territorial Defense of Ukraine website lists Israel on its website, with local contact information to facilitate Israeli enlistment.
At the war's outset, the Ukrainian embassy in Israel invited Israelis to volunteer in the fight in Ukraine, but the Facebook post was soon deleted. Over a dozen Israelis reportedly joined the fight after the embassy's call to arms, but since then, there has not been much news about Israelis fighting in Ukraine.
At the beginning of March, Russia warned that it would not treat what it calls "foreign mercenaries" as lawful combatants, and would not provide them the rights due under international humanitarian law.

Police work over Social media, I feel we all agree.
BUT, many times that call could be for police related work, or family emergencies.
So Mayor Adams is just playing the LSD Hate and Screw Police card differently.
I know us clod pickers ain't no such lerned as Mister Adams, but we use our phones on calls for a ton of shit, including DMs with person specific info not important enough for radio, or radio is such occupied, for locating teammates, environment updates, taking notes and photos/video.
Real life: Officer: "Can you re-play security camera # at 00:00 - 00:00+:15".
-Winds it up- "Do you want a copy of that timeline?"
-gets out phone, points at monitor- "Nah, just push play after I push play."
But you Kansas boys are assholes. Maybe; I'd grab a partner, go to one of those tunnel camps and/or hazard posts, and have partner record me recording the shit, and posting something about Waiting for You, Mr. Adams.
[BBC] A former US marine held in a Russian jail since 2019 has been released in a prisoner swap.
US and Russian officials confirmed on Wednesday that Trevor Reed is on his way back to the US.
In exchange, Russia's foreign ministry secured the release of Konstantin Yaroshenko, a Russian national jailed on drug smuggling charges.
The Reed family said in a statement that their "prayers have been answered".
They said the marine would tell his story publicly after addressing "the myriad of health issues" brought on by living in a Russian gulag.
President Joe Biden said he had been "delighted" to share the news of Mr Reed's return with his parents.
Mr Reed went to Moscow in 2019 to learn Russian and visit his Russian girlfriend.
On a drunken night out, he was detained by two police officers after attending a party. While being driven to the police station, he is said to have grabbed the police officer driving, causing him to swerve dangerously, and elbowed the other officer who tried to intervene.
Maintaining that he had no recollection of the incident, he pleaded not guilty but was sentenced to nine years in prison in 2020 on assault charges.
The US government voiced several concerns about the fairness of his trial, with US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan recently saying that Mr Reed "remains in prison for a crime he didn't commit".
According to the Reeds, their son was poorly treated in prison and even contracted tuberculosis at one point.
The prisoner swap was carried out via Turkey after President Biden commuted the sentence of Mr Yaroshenko.
The Russian pilot had been serving a 20-year sentence since 2010 for smuggling cocaine into the US. His lawyer has confirmed the Russian national is also headed home.
Senior US officials said Wednesday's exchange was not the start of a broader diplomatic dialogue and instead focused narrowly on Mr Reed's release.
That means the fate of other Americans currently detained in Russia - including Brittney Griner, a double Olympic gold medallist in women's basketball - remains unclear for now.
In a statement, the family of Paul Whelan, a former US marine being held on spying charges, said it was "full of happiness for the Reeds" but time was running out for Mr Whelan.
"Paul has already spent three-and-a-quarter years as a Russian hostage," they wrote. "Is President Biden's failure to bring Paul home an admission that some cases are too hard to solve? Is the administration's piecemeal approach picking low hanging fruit?"

[PostMillennial] The Department of Homeland Security is setting up a new board designed to counter misinformation related to homeland security, with a focus specifically on Russia and irregular migration. The board will be called the "Disinformation Governance Board, and will be headed by executive director Nina Jankowicz.
Speaking with the House Appropriations DHS Subcommittee on Wednesday afternoon, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said, "Our Undersecretary for Policy, Rob Silvers is co-chair with our Principal Deputy General Counsel, Jennifer Gaskell, in leading a just recently constituted misinformation disinformation governance board. So we're bringing — the goal is to bring the resources of the department together to address this threat." We are gonna need more fascism to fight the fascism.

[IsraelTimes] Teenagers raise posters of placed in durance vile Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out! Paleostinian Death Eaters who plotted Second Intifada attacks alongside local PA officials
Paleostinian Authority education officials in the West Bank governorate of Tulkarem last week held an event for high school girls supporting Paleostinian security prisoners in Israeli jails, including some who criminal masterminded deadly terror attacks against Israelis.
Local politicians turned out at the Adawiya Girls High School in the city to found a garden in honor of Paleostinian prisoners. Teenage girls were given posters to express their support for the placed in durance vile Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out! Paleostinians.
Many of the Paleostinians in question were convicted of deadly attacks. One of the teenage girls photographed with the officials held a poster in support of convicted Paleostinian terrorist Abbas al-Sayed, who is serving 35 life sentences in Israeli prison for his role in plotting attacks against Israelis.
Al-Sayed is particularly notorious for helping to plot the 2002 Netanya Park Hotelsuicide kaboom that left 30 civilians dead and 140 maimed. The attack was one of the bloodiest in the Second Intifada.
"Because you are free — support their freedom," the poster read, next to a stylized drawing of al-Sayed.
Other students supportively held photos of other convicted terrorists, including Nasser Abu Hmeid, whom Israel says was responsible for the murder of seven Israelis in separate attacks.
The activity was exposed by Paleostinian Media Watch, which monitors incitement to violence and hate speech in Paleostinian media.
As part of the PA-sponsored event, the Tulkarem high school students also paid homage to the six Paleostinian security prisoners who last year participated in a jailbreak that captured the attention of both Israelis and Paleostinians. Some of the runaways had unrepentantly confessed to involvement in attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians.
Israel has repeatedly denounced what it considers incitement to terror and hate speech in Paleostinian media and textbooks. American and European politicians have also held hearings on the matter.
The Paleostinian Authority says that its media and curricula content reflect the national narrative and do not constitute hate speech.
The European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... , the PA’s largest donor, has become embroiled in months-long bureaucratic deadlock over whether to condition a small fraction of its aid to Ramallah on changes to PA education materials. Although European and Paleostinian officials have repeatedly met in recent month, there has yet to be a solution to the freeze in aid.
The old fuddy-duddy was caught by a sudden rules change, and offered up as a sacrifice to the screaming mob to protect the rest, who weren’t caught out acting the exact same way.
Prince Andrew has been stripped of the Freedom of the City of York after councillors unanimously voted to remove his title in the wake of his settled sexual abuse case.
Councillors in York gathered this evening to debate revoking the prince's Freedom of the City honour, awarded to him in 1987. After discussing the motion for around half an hour, it passed unanimously.
The prince was branded 'an utter disgrace' during the extraordinary meeting and his continued clinging to the title Duke of York was described as a 'stain' on the city, Daily Mail reports.
Although symbolic, the new humiliation places Andrew under renewed pressure to quit as Duke of York, with civic leaders calling on the Queen, Palace or government to step in and strip him of the title if he refuses 'to do the right thing' and resign.
The council also noted objections from the public calling for the prince to be banned from attending horse racing events in the city. Another said he should be referred to as 'Andrew Windsor' in the future.
Andrew had been warned in advance that he would be losing the freedom of the city, an honour bestowed on him on February 23, 1987, as a wedding gift to Sarah Ferguson. He is the first person ever to have the Freedom of the City removed, councillors were told. There were two formal abstentions - from the Lord Mayor and Lord Mayor-elect.
Lib Dem Darryl Smalley, City of York Council's executive member for culture, leisure & communities proposed the motion.
He said tonight: 'The Honorary Freedom of York is the highest honour we, as a city, can bestow on those who represent the very best of York. The honour is held by many notable and accomplished people who carry it with pride and responsibly.
'Having been stripped of his military roles and royal patronages by the Queen, we believe that it is right to remove all links that Prince Andrew still has with our great city.
'I was pleased to see councillors of all parties support this motion and make it clear that it is no longer appropriate for Prince Andrew to represent York and its residents.
'The removal of this honorary title sends the right message that we as a city stand with victims of abuse. The next logical step is now for Prince Andrew to do the right thing and relinquish his Duke of York title.
'If he fails to do so, the Government and Buckingham Palace must step in to remove his title to finally end Prince Andrew's connection to York.'
It follows a slew of authorities, institutions, schools and even golf clubs, which have all sought to distance themselves from the disgraced duke since he settled his civil case with Jeffrey Want Some Candy, Little Girl? Epstein ...A high class pimp financier who was alleged to maintain a stable of underage whoressex slaves who were paid big bucks to entertain the rich and/or famous. He is a registered sex offender and made att least 17 out-of-court settlements with former members of his stable, with some cases still ongoing. 2011 court docs reveal that 21 email addresses and phone numbers for Bill Clinton and an aide were found in Epstein's electronic black book, and that Clinton frequently flew with Epstein on his private plane between 2002 to 2005. But really, they were probably just discussing finance or politix or something. While getting massaged. Then things got serious, Jeff was tossed in the slammer in New York and then he killed himself. Really. That's what happened... sex trafficking victim Virginia Roberts.
In the wake of the case, which was settled in February, the 62-year-old was also stripped of his military roles and royal patronages and was told he would no longer be known as 'His Royal Highness'.
Both Buckingham Palace and a spokesperson for the Duke of York declined to comment.

I think they added a zero. Glad those 30 layers of fact checkers caught that one.
Police said domestic security agency PET took part in the operation, but they did not give further details, including the suspect’s age.
"We still have a longer investigation ahead of us," Copenhagen Police Inspector Dannie Rise said.
PET reported last month that Denmark’s "biggest terrorist threat" remains people who sympathize with Death Eater bad boys, including ISIS and al-Qaeda.
The agency said "a significant number of terrorist attacks have been averted in Denmark" and the threat against the country "remains serious."

Certainly, a victim of the Disinformation Police.
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Great Britannia has sent new military reinforcements to the Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... i coasts, in conjunction with the presence of the United States and other Western powers involved in Yemeni territorial waters, in recent weeks.
The account of the Combined Maritime Forces in the Gulf said on Twitter that the British frigate T-23 arrived in the Arabian Gulf, confirming that the British battleship began its missions on April 20.
The Combined Maritime forces indicated that the frigate would work to support the joint task force known as CTF, conducting maritime navigation in the region.
The British move comes at a time when the United States is reinforcing its presence with the mutual Western powers in the Yemeni territorial waters, in recent weeks, after American forces conducted joint naval patrols in the Red Sea and Arab Sea.
These developments also came in light of British efforts to restore its colonial role in the southern provinces under the cover of the Saudi-Emirati coalition, after establishing an illegal military base in Mahrah, in the east of the country.

[NYPOST] Dr. Anthony Fauci ...American epidemiologist with rotating opinions, warnings about the unlikely, and reassurances that if you wear a mask you won't get COVID, as long as you're wearing multiple masks, assuming wearing a mask is necessary in the first place... says the US is no longer in the "pandemic phase" of COVID-19 — more than two years after the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... first began wreaking havoc on the nation. PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff pressed the White House chief medical adviser Tuesday on the state of the virus in the US, particularly as many Americans prepare to receive their second booster shots and mask requirements are lifted across the country.
"Here we are. It’s the end of April. It’s the spring of 2022. How close are we to the end of the pandemic?" Woodruff asked.
"We are certainly, right now, in this country out of the pandemic phase," Fauci replied. "Namely, we don’t have 900,000 new infections a day and tens and tens and tens of thousands of hospitalizations and thousands of deaths. We are at a low level right now."
"So, if you’re saying, are we out of the pandemic phase in this country, we are," he added.
But the health adviser warned: "We’re not going to eradicate this virus."

Covid or as I call it cold virus will be with us forever. Look at China now. Elections soon so mail in ballots time. Only way the Dems can win as with Maduro of Venezuela.
Russia gained more territory, (about anther 5 km) in North Central Donbas south and south east of Izium. This area is not heavily populated and was, perhaps, not heavily defended. A theory is that this is the beginning of a Rus offense to outflank the Ukraine positions further south.
Elsewhere, Russian forces, infantry and armor, are slowly approaching the heavily defended perimeter of Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk. Most analysts think the Ukraine positions there are supported by armored vehicles but how many is uncertain.
Not much territory change elsewhere.
Substantial bombardment of positions (Ukraine by Rus, Rus by Ukraine) continues.
Ukraine forces still holding out in small part of Mariupol.

According to Nolan Peterson on Twitter, Manus McCaffrey and Paul Gray, two American combat veterans and volunteers working with the Ukrainian military were wounded in action today in Ukraine.
Manus McCaffrey, a former Army Ranger, and Paul Gray, formerly of the 101st Airborne, were both wounded in action at 1435 EEST when Russian artillery struck their position as they waited to ambush a Russian tank. McCaffrey suffered serious injuries from shrapnel to his face, head, and torso. Gray was sheltered from a majority of the shrapnel, however was injured when a nearby rock wall collapsed on his leg.
They were taken to a nearby hospital with McCaffrey being conscious and speaking the last time he was seen. Both men are currently being treated for their wounds in an undisclosed hospital inside of Ukraine.
“We were ready for a tank to come down the road when the artillery hit us. A concrete wall protected me but then fell on me. Manus took the hardest blow and shrapnel.” Gray said in a message to reporter Nolan Peterson. “We were next together this entire deployment. Every minute,” Gray added about McCaffrey. “He’s such a great fighter.”Funker530.com

It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The IRNA report says the delegation is being led by Khalil al-Hayya and will attend a meeting tomorrow on "the latest status of the Paleostinian nation’s resistance."
[BIZPACREVIEW] Former Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) has remained unrelenting over his concerns about voter integrity and, in the first formal gubernatorial debate against incumbent Gov. Brian Kemp (R-Ga.), he wasted no time in asserting his views that the 2020 election "was rigged and stolen" and that Kemp is partially responsible.
In the first of three scheduled debates leading up to the May 24 primary, the challenger, endorsed by former President Donald Trump ...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party... , had been granted the opportunity to lead off the introductions Sunday. Perdue capitalized on his chance to set the stage and made his belief clear that Kemp is as much to blame for the woes Georgia voters are feeling from the failed leadership of President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S., who gives the term geriatric a bad name. He blames Afghans for losing Afghanistan.... "First off, folks, let me be very clear tonight. The election in 2020 was rigged and stolen," Perdue declared in his opening. "All the madness we see from the Biden administration (aka the Wilmington comorra) ...the collection of boodlers, grifters, hangers-on, and self-proclaimed experts affiliated with the Biden Crime Family. Entrusted with an entire nation as the result of a suspicious election, they set about happily implementing stuff they absorbed in college, all of which blew up and splattered the rest of us... : two million illegals, rising gas prices, unbelievable inflation, the brink of war; all that started right here in Georgia when our governor caved and allowed radical Democrats to steal our election. And because of that, he has divided our party and cannot win."
The former senator was referring to previous assertions that Kemp was complicit when Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Stacey Abrams ...the pudgy, sour grapes lo-o-o-o-o-ser (Loser! Loser! Loser!) of the 2018 Georgia governor's race. Stacey nominated herself to be Joe Biden's vice president nominee, to widespread national apathy. She has a very keen eye for Racism in any form, to include the imaginary... had entered into an agreement with state Republican officials that weakened the state’s election laws and allowed Biden to win the electoral votes.
"What you’re going to see tonight," Perdue continued, "unfortunately, is an embattled governor. A career politician, 20-year career politician, who’s gonna parrot his political handlers to distract you away from the fact that he sold us out and cost us the majority in the United States Senate. I’m proud to have President Trump’s endorsement. With your help, we will get this done. We will win."
Citing his pride in being from Georgia and his 40-year business career that created thousands of jobs, Perdue stated, "What I wanna tell you tonight is, the only reason that I’m running is to try to save our state. What I’m worried about is that the woke left has entrenched themselves here. What we have to do right now is to make sure we get criminals off our streets, the woke mob off, out of our schools, eliminate the state income tax and prosecute voter fraud.

So Biden has decided that our right to free speech is fully dependent on what "his" people think is correct to be or truthful... So when the science stands up and says we evolve from apes and Christianity is false do we eliminate all Churches because they do not meet the criteria as truth? And last point, free speech does not say telling the truth. If it did, the news media would all have to go away.

U.S. District Court Judge Christopher Cooper denied John Durham's request to allow Hillary Clinton's tweets in the trial against her former campaign lawyer
The October 31, 2016, tweets involve Clinton demanding Donald Trump answer to a Slate article alleging his connections to the Kremlin-tied Alfa Bank
The allegations against Trump stem from leaked documents from former Clinton Campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann, with the files heavily scrutinized
Sussmann was indicted for lying to the FBI when he denied working for the Clintons when he released the files, which Durham said were fabricated
The judge ultimately denied allowing the tweets in court, excluding them as hearsay and that it would be 'duplicative of other evidence'
[NYPOST] An autopsy is underway in the murder of 10-year-old Wisconsin girl Lily Peters, who was found dead near a walking trail while visiting her aunt’s home, authorities said.
The autopsy began early Tuesday and may not be completed until Wednesday, Chippewa County Coroner Ronald Patten told WQOW.
Lily’s body, which was discovered Monday in a wooded area not far from her aunt’s Chippewa Falls home, was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office in Minnesota, Patten said. That agency told The Post the autopsy had not been completed as of early Wednesday.
Chippewa Falls Police Chief Matthew Kelm announced Tuesday that a juvenile suspect who was known to the victim had been arrested in Lily’s murder.
The chief declined to provide details on the underage suspect, including the person’s age, gender or relationship to Lily. Charges were not immediately announced.

Given the knowledge, mentality and criminality of a 21st century teen verses a 20th or 19th century teen. We are long overdue in reviewing and updating criminal laws and sentencing regarding this age group when they commit adult crimes.
We are seeing some really evil kids in recent years that have figured out if they even commit MURDER they get to walkaway in a few years or just get mental health counseling.

The depot in Belgorod, close to Russia’s border with Ukraine, was left in a giant ball of flames after a loud explosion woke locals just after 3:30 a.m., regional Gov. Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote on Telegram.
"There were no casualties among the civilian population," the official said, without detailing if that included those at the ammunition site.
Explosions were also heard in another border province, Kursk, where the local governor claimed an unmanned Ukrainian aerial vehicle was intercepted over Russian skies.
Two blasts were also heard in Voronezh, where officials said its air defense systems also destroyed a small reconnaissance drone.

Pentagon report details billion of dollars in arms left in Afghanistan after exit
It was prepared for Congress, and obtained by CNN
It says $7 billion in hardware was left behind last year after chaotic withdrawal
That includes $1 billion of aircraft and some 22,000 military Humvees
The details will provide ammunition for critics who say President Biden should have done a better job of ensuring weapons did not fall into Taliban hands
Some 9,524 air-to-ground munitions were also left in the country

Having worked around the DOD as a ITSEC consultant in the 80's and 90's. Even back then we had written instructions, processes & procedures on when and how, what to remove or destroy prior to bugout vs withdrawal?
What US DOD Leadership level idiot in Afghanistan allowed this?
Or was it a Hunter Biden type weasel looking at selling replacement parts and etc... later on?
A study by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), which advocates for cracking down on immigration overall, found that the undocumented immigrant population in the U.S. grew from 14.5 million in 2020 to 15.5 million now
The conservative group estimates cost the American taxpayer an additional $9.4 billion, up to $143.1 billion per year
FAIR attributed the rise in border apprehensions to both economic upturn at the end of the Covid-19 pandemic and new immigration policies under Biden
Tracking the number of unlawful migrants residing in the U.S. is a difficult task, and FAIR admits that any figure is going to be 'inexact'
The new estimate comes as migration at the southern border is surging again and in March 221,000 migrants were apprehended, nearly a 20-year high

While eating out, I started listening to the HLS Sec. Mayorkas on a restaurant TV, while he was being interviewed (FOX).
When asked directly about the border situation, he provided a carefully worded, and ambiguous answer. something like 'We are managing the border situation'.
Leaving me to wonder if the 1,000,000+++ illegals in just 1 year were allowed in or slipped in, were Biden/LSD's Goal, or their failure?

[IsraelTimes] Odeh Abu Jaudah, who faces separate accusations tied to the case, tells Boaz Kokia: ’We know where you live, you are murderers’; police later detain him over threats
The father of a man convicted of murdering IDF soldier Ron Kokia in 2017 threatened the victim’s father on Wednesday and called him a murderer.
Odeh Abu Jaudah, whose son Khaled stabbed Kokia to death in Arad, clashed with Boaz Kokia at the Beersheba District Court. The two confronted each other, after a hearing for the elder Abu Jaudah, a resident of an unrecognized Bedouin village, who is facing charges tied to the attack, but is not accused of involvement in murder.
Abu Jaudah and his brother shouted at Kokia, who came to the hearing along with activists from Im Tirzu, a right-wing advocacy group.
A verbal altercation ensued between the two camps.
"We know where you live, let’s take this outside," Abu Jaudah shouted at Kokia, according to a Channel 12 news report. "You are murderers, you are shit."
In a statement later, Kokia called on the court to severely punish Abu Jaudah. The illegal presence of Paleostinians who do not have permits to be in Israel is what leads to terror attacks, he said, and pointed to the recent deadly assaults in Bnei Brak and Tel Aviv, both committed by Paleostinian who were illegally in Israel.
Later Wednesday, police detained Abu Jaudah and his brother for questioning over the threats.
Abu Jaudah is accused of twice helping the terrorist’s mother illegally enter Israel before and after the stabbing attack, including after she had already been caught without a permit and expelled in the wake of the murder. His relationship with the woman was not clear from the Channel 12 report, but Kokia has in the past accused Abu Jaudah of polygamy, according to media.
Kokia and Abu Jaudah have clashed at the courthouse in the past.
In February 2020, Abu Jaudah and his family condemned the killing carried out by his own son and begged forgiveness for the act.
A year later, the Ynet news site reported that Kokia pressured prosecutors to drop a plea deal with stabber Khaled Abu Jaudah’s half-brother Zahi, who the Shin Bet said acted as an accomplice and assisted him after the attack. Zahi has been indicted for attempted murder, possession of a knife, and obstruction of justice, among other charges.
Kokia has called for the death penalty for both Khaled and Zahi Abu Jaudah. Though not an option for the court, some right-wing politicians have in recent years called for legally instituting a death penalty for attackers.
The Shin Bet said Khaled Abu Jaudah, from an unrecognized Bedouin village in southern Israel, fatally stabbed Kokia, a sergeant in the IDF’s Nahal Infantry Brigade, while the serviceman waited at a bus stop on November 30, 2017. He was convicted in 2019 of first-degree murder.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A Pakistain separatist group warned Wednesday of more deadly attacks on Chinese targets, a day after a woman jacket wallah killed four people - including three teachers posted from Beijing.
The Baloch Liberation Army - one of several groups fighting for independence in Pakistain’s biggest province - grabbed credit for Tuesday’s blast, saying it was the first time a woman had "self sacrificed" for the group.
Chinese nationals and interests have regularly been targeted by separatists in Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... , where Beijing is involved in lucrative mining and energy projects.
"Hundreds of highly trained male and female members of the Baloch Liberation Army’s Majeed Brigade are ready to carry out deadly attacks in any part of Balochistan and Pakistain," front man Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement published in English.
He threatened Beijing with "even harsher" attacks unless the neighboring country halted its "exploitation projects" and "occupying of the Pak state."
Three Chinese teachers and a Pak driver were killed near the gate of the Confucius Institute at Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... University, when the bomber detonated explosives next to their minibus.
A security official at the university told AFP he had previously raised concerns about the safety of 15 Chinese staff on the campus.
"Reports emerged in February that an attack might be carried out on campus," the source, who asked not be named, told AFP.
The bomber was named as 30-year-old Shaari Baloch, a married mother of an eight-year-old girl and four-year-old boy, the BLA said, adding that she was a science teacher studying for a master’s degree.
Police confirmed the details.
Suicide attacks by women are very rare in Pakistain, reported only four times in recent years.
China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged Pakistain to ensure the safety of all Chinese citizens and interests in the country and to launch a full investigation.
It also advised citizens to "take strict precautions, and do not go out unless necessary."
China is upgrading energy links and infrastructure as part of a $54 billion program known as the China-Pakistain Economic Corridor, with both nations wary of security threats to the projects.
CTD official Raja Umar Khattab said that the jacket wallah, identified as Shari Baloch alias Brimash, was born in Turbat in 1991. She was married and had two children.
He said that her husband, Dr Haibatan, originally hailed from Kech, was currently doing a public health course at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) and was staying at a nearby five-star hotel. However, a person who gets all wrapped up in himself makes a mighty small package... his wife lived in Gulistan-e-Jauhar with her children.
He said that she and her husband had left their places a week before the attack and the husband’s whereabouts were not known. Raids were being carried out to find the husband and other controllers, he said.
The CTD official also clarified that the suicide bomber was not a student of KU. He said she got all her education up to university level in Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... and later she was employed as a government schoolteacher.
The officer added that the outlawed BLA had grabbed credit for the attack and shared details about the attacker on their social media platforms.
INJURED OUT OF DANGER
Separately, SSP-East Syed Abdul Rahim Sherazi said the condition of all four injured persons, including one Chinese, was out of danger.
He said two Rangers personnel escorting the van of the Chinese faculty members suffered minor injuries. One private guard, Hamid, suffered injuries in the leg and face. Chinese teacher Wang Yuqing underwent surgery.
Additional Police Surgeon at the JPMC Dr Summaiya Syed said that four charred bodies and remains of a fifth person were brought to the hospital on Tuesday evening for a post-mortem examination.
She said that four bodies — two males and two females — were beyond recognition and 100pc burnt. Their multiple samples for DNA profiling were taken.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Israeli forces killed a Paleostinian man and maimed three others in West Bank festivities early Wednesday, the official Paleostinian news agency WAFA said, a day after the fatal shooting of another Paleostinian.
The Israeli army told AFP it was "conducting counterterrorism activity" in the city of Jenin, but did not comment on any casualties.
Israeli security forces have stepped up operations in the occupied West Bank, particularly around Jenin where there are active fighters from several gangs, after a series of attacks in Israel since late March.
The man killed in the latest incident was identified as 21-year-old Ahmad Massad, from the village of Burqin in the northern West Bank.
He was shot in the head, a hospital official told WAFA.
Massad’s death follows that of another Paleostinian killed Tuesday when Israeli forces stormed a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank during what the army called a "counter-terrorism" operation that sparked violent mostly peaceful riots.
The Paleostinian health ministry said 20-year-old Ahmed Ibrahim Oweidat "succumbed to critical wounds sustained by live bullets to the head," during the shooting in Aqabat Jaber camp near Jericho.
Clashes between Israeli forces and Paleostinians are common in the West Bank, a territory occupied by Israel since 1967.
But there has been a wave of bloodshed in the territory and in Israel as the Moslem holy month of Ramadan and the Jewish holiday of Passover overlapped this month.
Massad is among 26 Paleostinians and Israeli Arabs killed since late March, among them several assailants, according to an AFP tally.
During the same period, 14 Israelis were killed in various attacks.
Violent festivities have also rocked the al-Aqsa mosque compound in Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem, sparking fears of another conflict after last year’s 11-day war between Israel and gangs in the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip.
Concerns of fresh al-Aqsa festivities are building, though, ahead of Friday prayers at the compound, with the end of Ramadan also approaching in early May.
Following the al-Aqsa festivities, isolated rocket fire towards Israel from the Gaza Strip resumed, prompting Israeli reprisals on targets linked to Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,, the group which controls the coastal Paleostinian enclave.
No injuries have been reported on either side as a result of the rocket fire or retaliatory air strikes.
Paleostinian Moslems have been angered by an uptick in Jewish visits to the al-Aqsa compound, Islam’s third-holiest site. It is also Judaism’s holiest place and known to Jews as the Temple Mount.
In an apparent attempt to ease tensions, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid told news hounds on Sunday that Israel was committed to the "status quo" at al-Aqsa, meaning an adherence to long-standing convention allowing Jews to visit the compound but not pray there.
Troops detain 5 suspects in West Bank city area and raid home of terrorist who killed 3 in Tel Aviv shooting; Palestinian media reports Ahmad Massad, 20, killed
A Palestinian was killed during a firefight between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians in the West Bank city of Jenin on Wednesday morning, according to Palestinian Authority health officials and the Islamic Jihad terror group.
Israeli troops raided Jenin and the nearby town of Qabatiya in the pre-dawn hours in an attempt to arrest Palestinian terror suspects. Soldiers also pinned a demolition order to the home of Ra’ad Hazem, the terrorist who killed three people when he opened fire in a busy Tel Aviv bar on April 7.
The military said five Palestinians were detained in the Jenin area. Palestinian media identified one as Asim Abu al-Heija, the son of a senior official in the Hamas terror group.
Palestinian gunmen opened fire on the soldiers after they entered the city’s incendiary refugee camp, the army said. A local branch of the Islamic Jihad terror group claimed responsibility for the firefight in a statement circulated in Palestinian media.
“During the operation in Jenin, Israel Defense Forces troops acted to quell a violent riot at the scene with dozens of Palestinians who opened fire, burned trash, and hurled explosive devices at troops, who responded with gunfire,” the army said in a statement.
According to the Palestinian Authority Health Ministry, an 18-year-old Palestinian was killed during the clashes. The official WAFA news outlet identified the deceased as Ahmad Massad, 21, a resident of the nearby town of Burqin.
Another three Palestinians were injured by live fire during the gunfight with Israeli troops, although all were in stable condition, the PA Health Ministry said.
The operation was the military’s first in Jenin in two weeks. Israeli forces conducted a spate of raids in mid-April in an attempt to crack down on a wave of Palestinian violence emanating from the northern West Bank city.
There was no immediate word from Palestinian health officials on Massad’s death. But the terror group confirmed it and claimed the young man as a member.
“With pride and regard we hail the heroic martyr, our son Ahmed Muhammad Fathi Massad,” Islamic Jihad said in a statement, adding that Massad had formerly served time in Israeli prison for security offenses.
Not exactly an innocent...
A string of four attacks that preceded the Israeli crackdown killed 14 people in Israel — the deadliest outbreak of terrorism in years. The ensuing raids sparked clashes that left at least 25 Palestinians dead, many of whom took part in the clashes, while others appeared to have been uninvolved civilians.
The Israeli army said 12 Palestinians suspected of involvement in terror activities were arrested during overnight raids across the West Bank, including two in Jenin and three in the nearby town of Qabatiya.
The Jenin area has emerged as a major hotspot for terror activity in recent months. Two perpetrators of recent attacks — Hazem and Diaa Hamarsheh, whose shooting spree left five dead in Bnei Brak — hailed from Jenin and its environs.
“We are not terrorists. We are defending our land and country and the path of our prophet,” Hazem’s father Fathi told local Palestinian media after the demolition order was posted on his Jenin home. The former PA security officer has repeatedly praised his son’s terror attack.
The Shin Bet security service said Monday that it had foiled an attempt by the Gaza-based Islamic Jihad to enlist residents of the West Bank to commit attacks against Israeli targets.
The agency said several Palestinians from the Jenin area — including Yasmin Shaaban, a 40-year-old mother of four — were detained for planning a bombing attack against Israeli farmers in the area.
[AlArabiya] Iran ...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979... and China have agreed to expand their military cooperation, Iran’s top military commander said on Wednesday during a visit by the Chinese defense minister to Tehran.
China’s Minister of National Defense Wei Fenghe met with senior Iranian officials in Tehran, including President Ebrahim Raisi.
"In [Wednesday’s] meeting with the Chinese minister of defense, we agreed to expand bilateral cooperation in joint military drills, exchange of strategies, training issues and other common fields between the two countries’ armed forces so that we can provide better security for the two countries’ territories," Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces, told news hounds in Tehran after meeting with Wei.
Military ties between Iran and China have deepened in recent years. In January, the two countries, along with Russia, held their third joint naval drills since 2019 in the northern Indian Ocean.
Raisi described Tehran-Beijing ties as "strategic" in his meeting with Wei.
"We pursue these strategic relations [with China] regardless of international developments and based on mutual political trust, and the successful implementation of the 25-year comprehensive cooperation agreement is a priority in this regard," state news agency IRNA quoted Raisi as saying.
In 2021, Iran and China signed a 25-year cooperation agreement to strengthen economic and political relations.
Wei’s visit to Tehran came as talks between Iran and world powers aimed at reviving the abandoned 2015 nuclear deal, of which China is a signatory, have stalled.

[NYPOST] Elon Musk said Twitter’s move to ban The New York Post’s exclusive story about Hunter Biden ...son of President Joe: cashiered from the Navy, a crackhead, wheeler dealer, leg humper, horn dog, and general all around ne'er do well. We're supposed to feel sorry for him... ’s overseas business dealings ahead of the 2020 presidential election was "obviously incredibly inappropriate."
Musk, who is set to buy the social media platform, wrote his opinion Tuesday evening in response to news hound Saagar Enjeti, who tweeted a Politico article about how the social media company’s top lawyer was brought to tears when discussing its new ownership.
"Vijaya Gadde, the top censorship advocate at Twitter who famously gaslit the world on Joe Rogan’s podcast and censored the Hunter Biden laptop story, is very upset about the @elonmusk takeover," Enjeti wrote.
"Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate," Musk replied.
The Post’s exposé revealed the existence of tens of thousands of emails that detailed how the then-presidential candidate’s son leveraged his political access in a series of eyebrow-raising overseas business deals after the newspaper obtained a copy of the hard drive from the laptop.
The piece was banned by major social media sites in the weeks before the election, with Twitter justifying accusations of censorship by labeling the story "content obtained through hacking that contains private information."
"The images contained in the articles include personal and private information — like email addresses and phone numbers — which violate our rules," the company tweeted about the article at the time.
Many mainstream outlets also discredited the article, before later reporting on its veracity long after President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Being a self-defined foreign policy whiz kid means never having to say you're sorry... was elected.
The Republican National Committee accused the site of being in cahoots with the Biden campaign, but the Federal Election Commission ruled that Twitter did not suppress the article in an effort to tip the scales to the Democrats. "Maybe they're just control-freak assholes? Nahhhh. It was to protect Slow Joe"
Gadde, who is known as Twitter’s "moral authority," cried during a staff meeting Monday while discussing the "significant uncertainties" that Musk’s leadership will bring, Politico wrote.
The world’s richest man reached a deal to buy the company for $44 billion Monday after saying the platform’s moderation policies were too restrictive.
Twitter exec suggests Elon Musk, other critics are misogynists
[NYPOST] A top Twitter executive has suggested that many of the platform’s critics — including soon-to-be owner Elon Musk, who ripped the firm’s top female lawyer over her censorship of the New York Post — are merely misogynists.
Lara Cohen, Twitter’s global head of partners, went on the attack hours after Musk singled out the site’s lead lawyer, Vijaya Gadde, over what he called the "obviously incredibly inappropriate" ban of The Post’s exclusive reporting on Hunter Biden ...son of President Joe: cashiered from the Navy, a crackhead, wheeler dealer, leg humper, horn dog, and general all around ne'er do well. We're supposed to feel sorry for him... ’s shady business dealings.
She also shared messages of support for Leslie Berland, the company’s chief marketing officer who was caught in leaked audio suggesting that Musk’s plans for free speech put them in "a very difficult position."
Despite such scandals motivating Musk to spend a staggering $44 billion to buy the site, Cohen suggested criticism was based on her colleagues’ gender.
"When Elon Musk says, ’Wow, this is about free speech,’ it seems to me that this is about free speech of straight white men, so let them have it," Hostin told her "View" co-hosts on Tuesday.
"Let them just go at it."
Hostin added: "I think Twitter can be a really horrible place, and I think people are excited because he is sort of going to unleash the trolls, right?"
"I think he is saying, ’You get to say whatever you want. I’m going to take away the guardrails.’ And for me, that is something that is a bit scary."
Hostin cited a statistic according to which 38% of women on Twitter have been "on the receiving end of abuse."
Hostin added that her favorite feature on Twitter is the "block button." She bemoaned the fact that Twitter "has an outsize influence in our world because politicians and celebrities are on it."

[REGNUM] Russia will achieve the goals for which the special operation in Ukraine is being carried out, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on April 27 at a meeting with the Council of Legislators.
"All the tasks of the special military operation we are conducting in the Donbass and Ukraine, launched on February 24, will certainly be fulfilled."
This is necessary, the head of state noted, "in order to guarantee security measures for the residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, the Russian Crimea and our entire country for a historical perspective."
Recall that during the special operation of the RF Armed Forces, a number of settlements were liberated from Ukrainian militants, including the city of Mariupol.
Russian diplomat says denazification of Ukraine will be completed
[RIA Novosti] Those responsible for the torture and murder of Ukrainians disloyal to the Kyiv regime will be punished, the denazification of Ukraine will be completed, Sergei Leonidchenko, head of the legal section of the Russian Permanent Mission to the United Nations, said at an informal meeting of the UN Security Council.
"Torture centers in the 21st century really do not fit in the head. There is a lot of factual evidence and testimonies of witnesses about the secret SBU torture center at the Mariupol airport. It was cynically called the "library" and was created in 2014, when the nationalist battalion "Azov" occupied Mariupol," Leonidchenko said.
According to him, this particular center was used to torture, rape and kill "books" - as neo-Nazis called ordinary civilians held there who were suspected of disloyalty to the Kyiv regime.
"Be sure that those responsible for these and all other heinous crimes will be brought to justice. No one will escape responsibility. The denazification of Ukraine will be completed," he concluded.
Russia launched a special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine on February 24. As Vladimir Putin emphasized , its goal is to "protect people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years."
According to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian military strikes only on military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops, nothing threatens the civilian population. The main goal of the operation in the department was called the liberation of Donbass.
Putin warns of "lightning strikes" in case of a threat to Russia
[RIA Novosti] If someone wants to intervene in the situation in Ukraine from the outside and create a strategic threat, then the blows will be lightning-fast, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Council of Legislators.
"We have made all the decisions on this matter," he said.
He stressed that the country has all the tools for this, which no one else can boast of now. "But we will not brag. We will use them if necessary. And I want everyone to know about it," the president said.
In addition, the Russian leader assured that all the tasks of the special operation in Ukraine would be unconditionally fulfilled in order to guarantee peace and security to the people of Russia and Donbass in the historical perspective.
According to him, Russian soldiers and officers averted "a real danger that has already hung over our homeland" and prevented a large-scale conflict that "would have unfolded on our territory, but according to someone else's scenarios."
Putin noted that unfriendly countries relied on Russophobia and neo-Nazis and consistently created anti-Russia from a neighboring state. At the same time, the West has turned the Ukrainian people into expendable material, but the realization of this is already coming to the majority of the population.
"When Russia reacted favorably, in a friendly, comradely, fraternal way to the creation of an independent Ukrainian state, of course, then they proceeded from the fact that it would be a friendly state, that we would go further together, strengthening and developing each other, "creating the most competitive conditions for our development. Yes, in new historical conditions, but, of course, no one expected the creation of anti-Russia on the historical Russian territories, and we cannot allow this to happen," the head of state explained.
Moscow's reaction to these actions was correct and timely, which confirms the course of recent events, including Kyiv's claims to possess nuclear weapons, the discovery of Western biological laboratories in Ukraine and the supply of weapons, the president added.
"The day before yesterday, at the board of the Prosecutor General’s Office, I spoke about the need to form a detailed and irrefutable evidence base for all heinous crimes, violations of international humanitarian law by neo-Nazis, foreign mercenaries, and there are more and more of them in Ukraine. Once again <...> several people were killed, several were detained. Soon the Ministry of Defense will present them to the public," Putin also announced.

[LIBYAREVIEW] The United States (US) Embassy in Libya stated that they remain "deeply concerned by the continued oil shutdown, which is depriving Libyans of substantial revenue, contributing to increasing prices."In a statement, the US Embassy added that this could lead to electricity blackouts, water supply problems, and fuel shortages. "The damage the shutdown is causing to oil infrastructure will cost Libya additional millions, and risks an environmental disaster."
The statement stressed that the shutdown could impact the country’s ability to "utilize this infrastructure in the future to reach its full production potential."
The US embassy called on responsible leaders to "recognize that the shutdown harms Libyans throughout the country, and has repercussions across the global economy."
"The United States reminds Libyan leaders of the multiple UNSCR’s that protect the National Oil Corporation (NOC), and reaffirms our commitment to work with Libyan leaders on a mechanism that will give the Libyan people confidence that the country’s revenues are being distributed for the benefit of the Libyan people," it stated.
Prior to the shutdown, the United States had recommended "an incremental transfer of revenue, subject to monitoring and oversight by a Libyan-led financial mechanism. However, some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them... Libyan leaders independently decided to make more substantial transfers," according to the statement.
"The US advised and continues to advise the creation of a temporary Libyan financial mechanism with broad support to address how Libya’s revenues should be spent, in the absence of an agreed national budget," the statement said.
"Such a mechanism could be used by Libyan authorities to give the Libyan people confidence regarding how oil revenues from the NOC would be used. As well as to prevent the diversion of funds for partisan political purposes that could undermine Libya’s peace and security. We recommend the mechanism be designed to allow Libyans to ensure the payment of critical expenditures for the people, with the highest degree of transparency. In order to build trust, all parties must know when and to whom funds are transferred to finance the agreed expenditures," It added.
The Embassy underscored that "Libya’s wealth should serve Libyans throughout the country — no outsider should decide the fate of Libyan resources. Any mechanism must only allow an avenue for Libyans to find agreement among themselves, and avoid unnecessary economic disruptions that only serve to hurt all Libyans."

Russian doctrine was described as thinking they could get away with using small tactical nukes without precipitating a strategic exchange. The huge number of tac nukes in their inventory would seem to support that theory.
The last time the US went to DEFCON 3 according to the site below was after Sep 11, 2001.

DEFCON 3, Round House Or Yellow Alert Level:
https://www.defconlevel.com/levels/defcon-3.php
What Is DEFCON 3 Or "Round House" Warning Level?
DEFCON 3, or Round House is an increase in alertness and military readiness, also known as 'yellow alert' status. With Defcon 3 the air force is in a higher state or level of readiness so that they can deploy and mobilize within 15 minutes time.
The alert color for DEFCON 3, or Round House is yellow. The meaning behind this condition level is similar to that of a yellow "caution" sign. We are prepared, cautious and in a state of military readiness. This condition represents a state of preparedness and a high level of caution.
The alert status may be raised to Defcon 3, or Round House after a precision strike is carried out by an an enemy. This condition may also be reached after a precision strike is carried out by the United States military or any event that warrants a cautious state of military readiness and alert by U.S forces. [ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Missing both legs and an arm, former special forces soldier Thushara Kumara is an unlikely critic of Gotabaya Rajapaksa, a wartime defense chief who became Sri Lanka’s president in 2019.
But the 43-year-old army pensioner is one of several dozen veterans now camping out at a protest site near the president’s office in Colombo, having lost faith in a leader who stubbornly resisted calls to resign when the economy began to implode and most of his cabinet quit.
"We dedicated our lives to save this country and it is extremely sad to see what has happened to it now," Kumara said, sat surrounded by old comrades, several with prosthetic limbs.
Weakened by the pandemic, the Indian Ocean island’s economy was fast-tracked toward disaster by a surge in global oil prices following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in late February. The government finances were already in a parlous state, partly owing to populist policies, including tax cuts.
Rapidly dwindling foreign currency reserves left Sri Lanka, a country of 22 million people, without enough dollars to pay for vital imports of fuel, food and medicine, and sometimes violent mostly peaceful street demonstrations erupted this month as shortages and power cuts became acute.
Earlier this month Sri Lanka kicked off talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a program to stabilize the economy. The government is also in talks with several countries and multilateral agencies to line up about $3 billion in bridge financing and has suspended repayment on some of its foreign debt to divert funds to pay for essential imports.
Amid the unfolding crisis, there have been street protests countrywide, with thousands of people joining some demonstrations.
"I get a pension because of the taxpayers of this country, and we have a responsibility to step up now and support the brave efforts by these young people to save this country," Kumara said.
"They are fighting for this country’s future," said the veteran, who had served in the army for 16 years. "That is why we are here."
Father to three children, Kumara lost his limbs in a mortar explosion weeks before Sri Lanka’s bloody 26-year war against Tamil separatists ended in May 2009.
Rajapaksa and his brother, then-president Mahinda Rajapaksa, ordered the offensive that finally broke the rebels’ resistance, but thousands of people died in the onslaught.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] At least five Syrian soldiers were among nine people killed in Israeli air strikes near Damascus, in the deadliest such raid this year, a war monitor said on Wednesday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said an ammunition depot and several positions linked to Iran’s military presence in Syria were among the targets.
Air defenses intercepted an Israeli missile strike near the capital, state media reported earlier on Wednesday.
"Our air defenses confronted an Israeli aggression over the outskirts of Damascus," the SANA news agency said.
AFP correspondents in the Syrian capital said they heard loud explosions.
Since civil war broke out in Syria in 2011, Israel has carried out hundreds of air strikes inside the country, targeting government positions as well as allied Iran-backed forces and fighters of Lebanon Hezbollahstan ...In 2020 Hezbollah blew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate facility exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that. And it ain't never coming to trial... ’s Shia bad boy group Hezbollah.
While Israel rarely comments on individual strikes, it has acknowledged mounting hundreds since 2011.
The conflict in Syria has killed nearly half a million people and forced around half of the country’s pre-war population from their homes.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said an ammunition depot and several positions linked to Iran’s military presence in Syria were among the targets.
“The Israeli enemy carried out an air assault at dawn... targeting several positions around Damascus,” a military source was quoted as saying by the state news agency SANA. “The investigation indicated that four soldiers were killed, three others injured and material damage noted.”
The latest strike follows another near Damascus on April 14, without casualties, according to SANA.
The UK-based Observatory, which relies on a vast network of sources across Syria, said eight people were also wounded in the strikes.
The other four killed were not members of the Syrian military but belonged to Iran-backed militia, Observatory chief Rami Abdel Rahman said, adding that he could not verify their nationality.
He said at least five separate sites were targeted in the latest Israeli raid.
Commentary by Russian military blogger Andrey Chervonets
[Chernovec] According to the Ukrainian President, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the special operation are only 2,500 - 3,000 people
. Zelensky is voicing an absolutely clear and blatant lie. The proof of this is enough to look at just two numbers:
- only now there are more than four thousand Ukrainian soldiers in captivity, and this is after all the exchanges, when Kiev did not have an exchange fund left
- at least five to six thousand Ukrainian militants died in Mariupol alone.
Judging by these two figures alone, it is clear that Zelensky is lying, and by multiple times. But in addition to what was voiced, the Ukrainian side also suffers very serious losses in the Izyum, Donetsk and Nikolaev directions, receiving hundreds of losses in its rear from missile attacks by the Russian Armed Forces on barracks and places of concentration of troops. And this is only the Armed Forces of Ukraine, border guards and the National Guard - no one considers terrorist defense and mercenaries.
I noticed a long time ago that the Ukrainians underestimate their losses by exactly 10 times, overestimating the losses of the enemy in their statements again by 10 times.
Now. the estimated real losses for the Ukrainian side are at least 30 thousand dead military personnel, with prisoners and wounded, and all 70 thousand. Of the combat-ready units and subdivisions of Ukraine, staffed and trained according to NATO standards, about 40-50 percent died, the rest (about 30 percent) were withdrawn to the west of the country, others were given in small groups to reinforce the Donbass group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Speaking about the losses that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready to suffer without signing surrender, it is necessary to take into account the fact that Kyiv is not completely independent in making decisions. The Americans are ready to fight to the last Ukrainian. Kyiv supplies meat for the war, no other functions are assigned to it. And they will regularly supply this meat.
Among the killed and captured, the bulk of the soldiers are not those of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who were in the army before February 24, 2022, but mobilized middle-aged men. Frightened, dirty, hungry, with a doomed look. And in fact, those who were captured pulled out their lucky ticket.
A typical example from a conversation with such a lucky man: "Our unit was thrown into the forest belt, the defense sector was indicated, after which the officers left. For three days we lay under fire, we lost half of our personnel. Then they saw Russian tanks and surrendered."
Many Ukrainian prisoners ask not to exchange them, they are ready to work on construction sites and clear rubble in order to sit out the events - those who have been to the war are beginning to understand it.
As for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, after the losses in the first period of hostilities, when there were many cavalry attacks with bare rears, the tactics changed dramatically. Artillery works first, then sweeping.
Slowly, but the losses are 1:7-1:10. Due to rocket attacks and air superiority, the Russian troops keep the advantage and significantly (by an order of magnitude) lag behind in the loss of equipment and manpower. About 100,000 soldiers from an army of 1 million have been sent to Ukraine, mobilization in Russia is not planned. But strengthening the grouping is required.
Returning to Zelensky and his statements, one anecdote comes to mind:
- Have you read Anna Karenina?
- Oh sure.
- What do you think of the heroine?
Heroin is a powerful thing.

If badanov really is a Russian stooge, he is not doing a very good job of stooging, no offense. Of course, the perfect disguise for a Russian stooge would be to appear to not be a Russian stooge at all. The fact that he as been around awhile implies a sleeper agent under deep cover.

[NYPOST] A young London man who butchered his best friend in front of his family has been sentenced to prison for the horrifying crime.
Romello Harley, 19, was sentenced to a minimum of 22 years behind bars Monday for the murder of Tashawn Watt, also 19.
Harley was convicted of murder and possession of a bladed weapon last month.
On June 25, 2021, a heated argument broke out between Harley and Watt’s brother, Kashawn, at the Watts’ home in Sydenham, London.
A community described by the internet as historically very affluent but now diverse, which explains a great deal...
After Watt was punched in the face, the two brothers called for their mom to ask Harley to leave, police said.
Surveillance footage captured Harley returning to the property with "apparent determination" just 15 minutes later, armed with a knife.
He lured Watt outside and stabbed him to death as his family watched in horror, according to police.
During the trial, Watt’s heartbroken mother, Denise Campbell, called her late son — known in the family as "Tata" — a "calm, kind character" who "would walk away from any confrontation."
"My last memory of Tata was him dying on the floor in front of me," the anguished mom added.
Speaking about Harley, Watt’s mother said, "We showed Romello nothing but kindness and allowed him into our home as though he was one of our family members. I sometimes have questions which I know will never be answered."
