Russian immigration streams in as Israel predicts uptick in Western newcomers
This time they have somewhere they can go.
[IsraelTimes] Amid rising antisemitism, North American and Western European arrivals this year expected to total 15,500, more than 2.5 times the number that arrived last year, Jewish Agency says

As Israeli officials and activists prepare for an influx of immigration from Western countries, some 8,000 Russians have made the move since January, accounting for most of the newcomers during this year’s first trimester.

Of 11,361 new immigrants colonists who came to Israel under its Law of Return for Jews and their relatives between January 1 and May 15, more than 70 percent, or 7,999, were from Russia, according to an interim report by the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration presented Monday at the Knesset Committee for Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs.

By comparison, only about 700 newcomers moved to Israel during that period from Western Europe, roughly half from La Belle France and 165 from the United Kingdom. The United States, where about 7 million Jews live, provided Israel with even fewer immigrants colonists: 564 of them in the first 135 days of 2024, the period surveyed in the interim report.

Ukraine, which is fighting a defensive war against Russia, provided about 300 immigrants colonists, or olim, during that period.

The data for immigration to Israel, or aliyah, from Russia is in line with trends observed in 2023. That year, Russians accounted for nearly 70% of the 46,590 annual tally of olim. In Russia, international sanctions over its ongoing war against Ukraine are crippling the local economy amid a war-related crackdown by authorities on free speech and civil liberties.

Thus many Russian olim are leaving out of fear of a new Iron Curtain.

Only 2,170 of the olim during that year were from Ukraine. That country has provided Israel with fewer than 20,000 olim since Russia invaded it in 2022. Russia, meanwhile, has seen nearly 84,000 of its citizens immigrate to Israel since the war broke out. Russia in 2020 had some 590,000 people eligible to make aliyah compared to about 190,000 in Ukraine, according to the Institute for Jewish Policy Research. Aliyah from both countries rose dramatically after 2022.

At first glance, the data may appear to fall short of the expectations of many for a wave of Western olim following the increases in the numbers of antisemitic incidents documented in Western Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and North America after October 7.

But the Jewish Agency for Israel, which handles aliyah for the government, expects 15,500 Western olim to move this year, the report said. That’s nearly 2.5 times the 6,220 immigrants colonists who came from developed countries in 2023.

Western aliyah will peak in summer, with about 8,000 olim from developed countries expected to arrive by September, ministry officials wrote in a reply to a query by the committee’s chairman, Oded Forer.

Project Veritas: Biden NSC Official: We Can't Go Against Israel until Term 2; Israel 'Lies, Bombs, Kills All These Kids'
[YouTube]

A current White House official on staff with the National Security Council stated in a Project Veritas undercover recording that President Joe Biden is waiting for a second term to condemn Israel’s actions in Gaza but can’t say so due to ‘powerful Jewish influences’ that could cost him the election.

During the six-minute recording, Sterlin Waters discusses internal White House deliberations about the ongoing conflict in Gaza and admits that “if Biden won again he could be much more forthright about saying ‘No’ [to Israel],” stating that the administration would have more freedom to tell Israel ‘you’re not going to continue to lie, and bomb, and kill all these kids without facing serious consequences.’”

-Great Cultural Revolution
UCLA Medical School Goes Woke, Gets Busted
[Red State] When an admissions officer voiced concern about the candidate, the two people said, the dean of admissions, Jennifer Lucero, exploded in anger.

"Did you not know African-American women are dying at a higher rate than everybody else?" Lucero asked the admissions officer, these people said. The candidate's scores shouldn't matter, she continued, because "we need people like this in the medical school."

One of the school's key metrics is the so-called "shelf exam." This exam is administered to medical students at the end of their clinical rotations. This year, we've reached full flower with 50-plus percent failure rates in emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics.

One professor said that a student in the operating room could not identify a major artery when asked, then berated the professor for putting her on the spot

The incompetents forced through training at UCLA will be turned loose on the public. And then we'll see the downstream effects as they injure and kill patients, and the system covers for them because they are elite medical school grads, and if you think their performance sucks, it is because you don't know great medicine and are quite possibly a bigot.

#1  Money quotes from the guts of the article:

"And for those who've seen the competency crisis up close, double standards in admissions are a big part of the problem. "All the normal criteria for getting into medical school only apply to people of certain races," an admissions officer said. "For other people, those criteria are completely disregarded."

Led by Lucero, who also serves as the vice chair for equity, diversity, and inclusion of UCLA's anesthesiology department, the admissions committee routinely gives black and Latino applicants a pass for subpar metrics, four people who served on it said, while whites and Asians need near perfect scores to even be considered.

The bar for underrepresented minorities is "as low as you could possibly imagine," one committee member told the Free Beacon. "It completely disregards grades and achievements."

#4  Surgery and shit.

By all means, let us have that discussion about the plight of the Black Woman in America. I'll lead:

The Black Woman is the victim of a media full court press to glorify an awful lifestyle, with extra attention from the Healthy at Any Weight lie. Songs which make the highest aspiration of the Black Woman is a WAP or THOT are given the most prestigious awards in the industry. Black talking heads tell them its ok to be late for work, its ok to be a single mother, its ok to have x number of children with different sires. The Screen glorifies the cranky, aggressive, false confidence all the time, and if a Black Woman is shown in a position of dignity, the character is made gay. Respect is definitely a mental health concern and when airlines and schools etc. brag about lowing standards to the point corporate can have a photo op of two Black Women pilots everyone goes nope not that flight, and now the same thing with having a Black Woman with health diagnostics and procedures.

The final hammer blow is that when Black Women, Blacks in general, get outside this fence of failure, people like Jennifer Lucero full sprint all the insults at them, and that sets the next generation's mind that if they, too, become independently successful, they, too, will get the hounds set on them.

#6  Back in the 1980s — the first full generation of affirmative action hitting employment age — I worked with a number of young Black chemical engineers who deeply resented the fact that people assumed they’d been hired strictly for the colour of their skin, only eventually recognizing they were precisely as competent as their non-Black peers.

#7  In my 30 years of software consulting I can state that the best people I worked with were 1 Black and 1 female, the worst were one black and one female.

#8  Imagine busting your ass all the way through High School to fill your dream of being a doctor, then this happens, and you have to wonder if you really have the chops or are you just a checked box.

Imagine going through medical school, say pediatrician, and get straight honors at graduation. Then go into practice, and kill a child because you weren't really trained. Or crash a plane, or drop something from a crane, or put your artillery on friendlies, crash a container ship.

Oh, and you can tell Lucero is a DIE hire; not only can she not control herself like some animal lesser than a dog, but what she said: We Need instead of We Want. Fuck these fraggles who go around destroying and eating everything other people made then preening about in their comical appearance.

#10  That's the difference between cultivating and forcing.

These DIEs are not your friend, and are not your entrance. They have set up a whole another circle of autocracy and set themselves as gatekeeper. They want you to be incompetent so they teach the wrong lessons and set you up for failure because they themselves are incompetent sociopaths who use emotion as currency because emotion cannot be audited because when you put a competent person next to them their costume falls and their smallness shows. Competence is literally a threat to their job. They are very happy to be the agent of seizing the means of production. The study is DIEsney, the proof is the latest Assassin's Creed putting a Black Man as a position of authority in Feudal Japan and shouting down and cancelling anyone who objects.

They introduce Peter Principle people into the organization because people who know they are out of their depth are easy to control.

They are using you, and rely on silence. They dress up in clownish costumes and say patently opposing statement to disguise the malice and diffuse any criticism. If you go back and re-watch The Fraggles, the Fraggles are bad, evil people disguised as whimsical creatures.

Take a second and re-watch the '88 Baron Munchausen. Right off the bat, The Bureaucrat has a hero soldier executed 'because he makes the ordinary soldier look bad'. Indeed every decision The Bureaucrat makes reduces the strength of The Community. The stories of yore are so reduced The Baron calls the stories lies and balderdash. Gawhd I miss the 80s movies.

And here in this article it is in action. A student in medicine, in which the profession is literally on-the-spot- 24/7/365 on call can't make a simple identification and throws a fit, its the opposite of competency and curiosity which, as theorized, are traits in competition with a DIE's position of authority. If you thought the Covid Response was bad, wait until this crop. They will have no problem giving people The Needle, or whatever the abuse, because they will just go down a Idiocracy List of What To Do Next, no questions asked.

All so people like Lucero can keep their residence inside the walls and they let rovers scour the Outside the Walls, where you will live. They will have no problems using and killing you to keep their position.

They are redecorating The Shooting Wall in Green Screen, and tying to convince us to shoot ourselves. Very coy. Until the next step of convincing us that Direct Action against their detractors-of-the-day is necessary.

These tools are trying to make themselves the reliance.

And there goes Ohio
[AmericaTribune] In a potentially big snafu for the Democratic Party in Ohio and nationally in the 2024 presidential race, the Democratic National Convention has been scheduled for August 19, twelve days after the August 7 deadline in Ohio for submitting the name of the nominee. The Ohio House and Senate attempted to pass legislation to rectify the issue, but that effort failed on Wednesday, May 8, before the deadline Ohio lawmakers were given by the Secretary of State to rectify the issue. Now, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose has said Biden won't appear on the ballot unless the DNC acts.

#13  Ohio is weird for write ins. You have to submit signatures to get on the valid write in list. An extra bubble is then added to the ballot. To vote a write in you, you have to color in the bubble and then write the valid name correctly.

Donald Trump brings huge crowd to Bronx as he invites rappers on stage
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Enormous turnout for Trump's rally in deep-blue Bronx is revealed... as hilarious clip emerges of ex-president telling drill rapper guests that he wants diamond dental grill.

Donald Trump campaigned before thousands of fans in one of the most heavily Democratic and non-white areas of the US on Thursday in a push to do what his critics believe is unthinkable: Win New York in 2024. The rally crowd in the South Bronx's Crotona Park extended far beyond the 3,500 slated to appear, and thousands were forced to wait outside the fenced in area hoping to catch a glimpse of the 45th president.

Worryingly for the Democrats, the rally was packed with black and Hispanic people - two groups who Joe Biden has been accused of taking for granted - and who make up most of the population of the surrounding area.

As Trump fights to win minority voters, the real estate mogul delivered an hour-and-a-half speech about the decline of a city he loves - vowing to 'make New York City great again' and be the first Republican to win the state since Ronald Reagan in 1984.

'Everyone wanted to be here,' he told the crowd who waited for six hours to hear Trump. 'But sadly this is now a city in decline.'

'But if a New Yorker can't save this country, no-one can'

He also brought on stage rappers Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow. Trump admired the dazzling diamond 'grills' on their teeth, with the bling-loving Republican joking he wanted to get one for himself.

At one point during Trump claimed that immigrants from Africa, the Middle East and elsewhere were 'building an army' to attack Americans 'from within.'

Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow hopped on stage to a cheering crowd and briefly addressed the massive group.

Sheff G said into the microphone: 'One thing I want to say, they're always going to whisper your wins and shout your failures.

'Trump's gonna shout the wins for all of us,' he added.

Sleepy Hallow simply said: 'Make America Great Again,' which was met with uproarious applause.

As Trump thanked the gentlemen for their endorsements, he once again focused on on Sheff G's grill.

'Thank you very much,' he said to the rappers. 'I like those teeth. I want to find out where you did that.'

'I got to get my teeth like that. I want that to happen to me,' he added, as the pair made their way off the stage.

Sheff G was recently released from prison, where he spent fourteen months for charges related to gang activity - Sleepy Hallow was indicted along with 30 others for the same charges. Sheff G previously spent two years in prison after pleading guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in 2021.

Trump, himself a former Democrat, faces an uphill battle to win New York, with recent polls showing the president about nine points ahead of his challenger in the Empire State.

In 1984, incumbent President Ronald Reagan became the last Republican to win New York in the last half-century. He had also achieved victory in the state in the 1980 presidential election, and prior to that, Richard Nixon won the state in 1972.

Margarita Rosario, a 69-year-old who has lived in the borough for more than 60 years, said she saw Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York on television the night before suggesting that the Bronx wouldn't support Trump. It spurred her to show up, holding a Trump flag and a poster that said, 'Make America Great Again.'

'I got so annoyed with that. I said, 'How dare she speak for the whole Bronx?' Rosario said.

Muhammad Ali, a 50-year-old who lives in the Bronx and said he planned to vote for Trump in November, said he once used to think the former president was a racist but his views have changed.

'We need a patriotic president at the moment and I find Donald Trump more patriotic for the moment than Joe Biden,' said Ali, an immigrant from Bangladesh and worker for New York's transportation agency.

At least one New Yorker in the crowd said he knew Trump from his days as a local billionaire real estate developer. Alfredo Rosado, 62, said he'd been a Trump supporter since 1998 when he worked for several months as a fill-in summer doorman at Trump's Trump Tower building. Rosado recounted how Trump had asked his name and stopped to chat. 'He's the same person you see,' he said of the former president.

The Bronx happens to be the bluest county in the US. Biden won it with more than 83 percent of the vote in 2020. Trump earned less than 16 percent. In 2016, Trump fared even worse, earning less than 10 percent of the borough's support.

But the ex-president is campaigning hard across the Big Apple, while he's stuck in town for his Manhattan hush money trial. In recent weeks, he's made stops at a firehouse, a construction site, and a bodega. But the Bronx rally was his first event open to the general public as he insists he is making a play to win an overwhelmingly Democratic state.

Besides creating a spectacle of rallygoers and protesters, the rally also gave Trump an opportunity to highlight what he argues are advantages on economic and immigration issues that could cut into key Democratic voting blocs.

Trump is currently facing 34 felony counts of falsifying business records over the payment to porn star Stormy Daniels. Closing arguments are slated to begin when court resumes on Tuesday.

Trump supporters at the rally told Dailymail.com that they don't especially care abut the criminal trial and haven't been paying attention to the testimony on either side of the case.

Thursday was also Trump's first rally since former GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley said last Friday that she would vote for Trump. Her tacit endorsement came months after dropping out of the primary during which she attacked her former boss mercilessly. But Trump made no mention of his one-time rival.

As he wrapped up his speech, Trump said he woke up Thursday uncertain of the reception he'd get in the Bronx.

'I said, 'I wonder, will it be hostile or will it be friendly?' he said. 'It was beyond friendly. It was a lovefest.'

#1  According to Wikipedia, the doctorate is in Baptist ministry.

He’s right that for at least some people, homosexuality is a choice. For others, possibly not — it seems to me we don’t know enough about either biology or psychology to say definitively. Faith is often described as taking a leap exactly because it skips over the need for external proofs.

Those facts do not, however, lead to the conclusion that homosexuality is a choice or that it doesn't exist.

So, imagine (it's just a hypothesis) there are two different alleles in the same genetic locus: G & H. GG = gay. HH = hetero, GH makes you more attractive (possibly to both genders).

Government Corruption
Garland: Trump's Deadly Force Claim 'Extremely Dangerous'
[NewsMax] Attorney General Merrick Garland admonished Donald Trump on Thursday for asserting that the Department of Justice was authorized to use deadly force against the Republican presumptive nominee, saying the allegation is "false" and "extremely dangerous."

Garland made the comments during a press conference he was holding to announce the DOJ's antitrust lawsuit against Ticketmaster owner Live Nation. He was asked about Trump's social media posts and fundraising email that seized on a court filing unsealed Tuesday that showed how federal agents prepared for and executed the raid on Mar-a-Lago in the classified documents case, including "deadly force" within the mission's guidelines.

The FBI and Garland said it's standard operating procedure, just as it was for the search at President Joe Biden's home for the same thing months later. However, Trump said federal agents were "locked & loaded ready to take me out," according to USA Today.
Republicans pounce.
"You know they're just itching to do the unthinkable" and that "Biden's DOJ was authorized to shoot me," Trump said in the fundraising pitch. Allies including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Sen. Ted Cruz have joined a chorus of lawmakers chiding law enforcement for an over-the-top authorization that could easily have spiraled out of control and resulted in mayhem.

Dems Block Child Trafficking Deterrent to Require DNA Tests for Migrants
[Beitbart] Senate Democrats have blocked what former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials called “a strong deterrent” against child trafficking at the United States-Mexico border.

On Thursday, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) sought to pass by unanimous consent the End Child Trafficking Now Act which would require DHS to DNA test all adult migrants and the children they arrive with at the southern border to prove they are relatives.

Senate Democrats blocked its passage.

The bill’s goal, Blackburn and other Senate Republicans said, is to end the process of child trafficking where adult migrants bring unrelated children with them to cross the border in the hopes of being released into the U.S. interior.

President Joe Biden’s DHS reportedly ended such DNA testing last year.

Last year, Lora Ries, director of the Heritage Foundation’s Border Security and Immigration Center, told the Senate Judiciary Committee that the Biden administration’s ending DNA testing would ultimately lead to a spike in child trafficking.

“The results are very predictable: A return to more child smuggling, child recycling, and child trafficking. Say you’re a family and we’ll take your word for it,” Ries said.

DHS officials have previously suggested that as many as 3-in-10 children arriving at the border with adult migrants are being trafficked.

Those startling figures are what prompted former President Donald Trump’s administration to expand DNA testing across the border.

“It is clear on-site DNA testing has a strong deterrent effect, as [Homeland Security Investigations] agents witnessed multiple instances of individuals confessing to faux families prior to being tested as well,” former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official Derek Benner said in 2019.

Sens. Bill Hagerty (R-TN), Thom Tillis (R-NC), John Hoeven (R-ND), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Mike Lee (R-UT), Steve Daines (R-MT), J.D. Vance (R-OH), and Joni Ernst (R-IA) are cosponsoring the bill. Rep. Lance Gooden (R-TX) previously introduced an identical bill in the House.

Migrants Protest for More Free Government Benefits in New York City
[Breitbart] A group of several dozen migrants joined liberal Democrat politicians in New York City on Thursday to protest for even more government benefits for “newcomers.”

The New York Immigration Coalition joined a group of elected Democrat officials on the steps of City Hall to demand more money from the city budget to be dedicated to migrants, according to Caribbean Life.

The activists demanded an array of higher spending, including an additional $109 million for free legal services for immigrants, $5 million for language services, $25 million in support for two city programs for illegal aliens, and an end to policies that evict migrants from shelters after a prescribed time.

Most House Democrats Vote to Allow Illegal Aliens to Vote in D.C. Elections
[Breitbart] The majority of House Democrats voted to allow foreign nationals, including illegal aliens, to vote in municipal elections in the District of Columbia.

In 2022, Democrats on the D.C. Council approved a plan to allow foreign nationals to vote in local elections so long as they have resided in the district for 30 days. This includes illegal aliens with no legal basis to reside in the United States.

On Thursday, the House voted 262-143 to approve Rep. August Pfluger’s (R-TX) legislation to block the plan from taking effect — ensuring that municipal voting rights in D.C. are reserved exclusively for eligible American citizens.

While 52 Democrats, mostly from red states or swing states, joined Republicans in supporting the legislation, 143 Democrats opposed it, voting to allow D.C. to open local voting rights to foreign nationals, including illegal aliens.

Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell Border Bill Flops in Senate Vote
[Breitbart] The border bill that both Democrat and Republican Senate leaders pushed flopped in a floor vote, garnering only 43 votes, which is far short of the 60 votes needed to start debate or the 50 votes needed to pass.

Fifty Senators voted against the bill, and seven —including four GOP Senators — were absent.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) was the only Republican who voted for the business-backed bill, which would have accelerated the inflow of economic migrants via asylum and parole loopholes.

Six Democrats and independents joined the GOP no-votes on the doomed bill, likely because it allowed them to signal support for more radical policies without contributing to the bill’s failure. The Democrats and independents voting no were Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA), Sen. Laphonza Butler (D-CA), Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA), and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), who is credited with being an author of the bill.

Two Democrats facing tough 2024 elections — Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Sen. John Tester (D-MT) — voted for the cheap labor giveaway to business interests.

The public failure comes after Democrats insisted their loopholed bill was popular and effective, and the establishment media hid the pro-migration purpose of the bill, which was privately negotiated by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and outgoing Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

The bill was revealed in February but quickly lost support once citizens read the details.

Biden repeatedly asks for stage directions at presser
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Biden, 81, asks pre-selected reporters to repeat questions multiple times and suddenly shouts 'whoa' at shambolic press conference shut down by aides

President Joe Biden repeatedly had to ask for stage directions during a press conference with Kenyan President William Ruto Thursday where he appeared stunned by TV reporters who shouted questions to him at the end.

'Is that it?' Biden asked at one point during the proceedings, as reporters from U.S. and Kenyan media asked questions to each leader in a pre-cooked format.

'What was my question?' Biden asked a U.S. reporter who asked a long inquiry to Biden and Ruto at the same time.

'Sir, your question was Haiti,' the reporter told him at the first press conference in a month for the 81-year-old president.

Biden brought down the hammer when the first reporter he called on from a prepared list tried to ask him a pair of questions: one on Haiti, and another an International Criminal Court warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

'One question,' Biden intoned, although the reporter tried for two anyway.

Biden read conspicuously from printed notes during several of his answers, including while speaking about international lending institutions, injecting a few bromides.

UN Sanctions Three Al-Shabaab Leaders at Request of Somali Government
[SHABELLEMEDIA] In a significant move to combat terrorism, the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
Security Council has sanctioned three leaders of the al-Shabaab
... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
holy warrior group following a request from the Somali government.
That’s nice. It’ll make no noticeable difference, but no doubt someone feels better for it.
The decision was made public on May 23, 2024, and targets three individuals identified as key figures in the organization:

1. Abdukadir Ikrima, is a Somali citizen who also holds a Kenyan passport.
2. Mohammed Mohamud Mire.
3. Mohammed Omar Mohammed.

The sanctions involve the freezing of assets and a travel ban, aiming to disrupt the activities of these individuals and the organizations they represent. This action comes as part of the ongoing efforts to improve security and stability in Somalia, a country that has been grappling with terrorism and insurgency for years.

The Somali government has been working closely with international partners, including the United Nations, to combat al-Shabaab, a group known for its violent mostly peaceful attacks and control over parts of the country.

The sanctions are a significant step forward in this ongoing battle, demonstrating the international community’s commitment to supporting Somalia’s efforts to eradicate terrorism.

The UK government, through its mission in Somalia, has also expressed support for these efforts, emphasizing the importance of tackling terrorism for a safer and more secure future for all Somalis.

The move has been welcomed by many, who see it as a necessary step towards peace and stability in the region.

As of now, the impact of these sanctions on al-Shabaab’s operations and the response from the group remains to be seen. However,
the hip bone's connected to the leg bone...
this action sends a strong message that the international community stands united against terrorism and is willing to take decisive measures to combat it.

American caught in Congo failed coup was on vacation in Africa — Family
[AFRICANEWS] The family of an American caught up in a failed coup attempt in Congo said their son, Tyler Thompson, was in Africa on vacation with family friends.

In a statement available to the News Agency that Dare Not be Named, the family added that their son had never been engaged in political activism.

"We are stunned and heartbroken by the videos we have seen from the coup attempt," his stepmother, Miranda Thompson, said in a message on micro-messaging platform X ( Twitter)... "We have no idea how he got wrapped up in this situation, which is completely out of character for him. We are certain he did not go to Africa with plans for political activism."

Thompson was among at least two other Americans who were named by the Congolese army as part of a failed effort to overthrow the government in Kinshasa in the early hours of Sunday morning under an eccentric, self-exiled leader, Christian Malanga.

The two other Americans allegedly involved were a convicted marijuana trafficker, Benjamin Reuben Zalman-Polun, and Malanga's 21-year-old son, Marcel, who was arrested by Congolese forces.

Malanga, the alleged leader, was rubbed out after resisting arrest, the Congolese army said. In all, six people were killed in the attack on the presidential palace and another on the residence of a close ally of President Felix Tshisekedi.

On Wednesday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken
...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm...
condemned the attack in a call with Tshisekedi and offered help from the U.S. with the investigation, according to a summary of the call.

The stepmother said Thompson was not politically engaged and was excited to see the world with family friends. "He is a good kid, a hard worker and a respectful young man. We're so lost as to how he ended up in this mess," she said.

The U.S. Embassy in Congo said Thursday that it was still waiting for the Congolese government to provide evidence that the arrested individuals were Americans before it could provide consular services to them.

The Congolese government has not given a date for when the suspects will appear in court.

Zambia: Ex-President Lungu accuses President Hakainde Hichilema of plotting his arrest
[AFRICANEWS] Former Zambian President Edgar Lungu is accusing President Hakainde Hichilema and the Zambia Police Inspector General of plotting to arrest and detain him without justification.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, May 22, Lungu said the police are preparing to arrest him at night from his home in Lusaka.

"...the police are under instructions to arrest me in the dark of the night any day by surprise!" the post read.

This follows Lungu's controversial suggestion of a possible government change before the 2026 elections, seen by many as a threat. His statement has been condemned by political opponents and civil society groups.

Police Chief Graphael Musamba stated that Lungu will be summoned to explain his "inciting" remarks. Local media report that the police are taking Lungu’s statement seriously and are investigating.

Lungu's claims of house arrest and police harassment have raised concerns about democracy and human rights
...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you...
in Zambia. Lungu, a vocal critic of President Hakainde Hichilema’s government, alleges persecution.

The Patriotic Front, Lungu's party, accuses the government of silencing opponents and calls for the release of Lungu and detained party members.

He had retired from politics after losing the presidency to Hakainde Hichilema in 2021.

The former leader has been accusing the government of victimizing him and members of his Patriotic Front (PF) party to block his return to politics.

$320 Million Mistake-Pentagon says none of the aid unloaded from US pier off coast of Gaza has been delivered to broader Palestinian population
Unexpectedly.
[CNN] None of the aid that has been unloaded from the temporary pier the US constructed off the coast of Gaza has been delivered to the broader Palestinian population, as the US works with the UN and Israel to identify safe delivery routes inside the enclave, the Pentagon said on Tuesday.

Several desperate Gazans intercepted trucks delivering aid from the pier over the weekend, leading the UN to suspend the delivery operations until the logistical challenges are resolved.

The US is working with Israel and the United Nations to establish “alternative routes” for the safe delivery of the 569 tons of aid transported to Gaza since last week, Pentagon spokesperson Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said on Tuesday.

Asked whether any of the aid has been delivered to the people of Gaza, Ryder said, “As of today, I do not believe so.” He added that aid had been held in an assembly area on shore, but as of Tuesday had begun getting moved to warehouses for distribution throughout Gaza as alternative routes have been established.

A US official told CNN that the Defense Department and UN are still working to determine how much aid can be held at he staging area inside Gaza at any given time.

The amount of aid getting to the Gaza shoreline from its initial staging area in Cyprus has also fallen short of initial Pentagon estimates.

Since Friday, more than 569 metric tons of humanitarian assistance have been delivered through the temporary pier, called JLOTS, or Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore, to the shore of Gaza to be distributed by humanitarian partners, Ryder said. But Adm. Brad Cooper, the commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command, said last week that the US hoped to initially transport 500 tons of aid per day via the pier, and scale up as time went on.

Over the weekend, as trucks began moving the aid delivered off the floating pier, CNN reported that a group of men in Gaza intercepted the aid, saying they did not trust that it was actually meant for the Palestinian people.

“I have doubts,” Mounir Ayad, a Gaza resident, told CNN near the pier. “I don’t understand this floating pier or what it indicates and what its purpose is. They say it’s for aid, but people are apprehensive. Is this aid or something else? We know that the US has never supported the Palestinian cause, so it’s implausible that it’s giving us aid without something in return.”
Shoot him
Ryder acknowledged on Tuesday that some initial aid brought into Gaza was “intercepted by some people who took that aid off those vehicles.”

“Fully appreciating the desperation, but also fully appreciating the fact that it is very important that this aid get to the people who need it most, that’s going to continue to be the focus. So I understand, you know, the focus on why is this not working, or why is that not working, but what we’re focused on is how we can work to ensure that the Palestinian people get the aid.”

The Pentagon said in April that the goal was to deliver roughly 500 tons of aid — amounting to 90 truckloads — per day to the starving population of Gaza, with the intent of working up to 150 trucks daily. The pier was finally anchored to Gaza last week as the humanitarian situation in the enclave has only worsened.

Israel launches deadly Gaza strikes, says ready for new truce talks
[GEO.TV] Israel launched devastating air strikes on Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...

The Gaza Strip's civil defence agency said two pre-dawn air strikes had killed 26 people, including 15 children, in Gaza City alone.

Agency front man Mahmud Bassal said one strike hit a family house, killing 16 people, in the al-Daraj area, and another killed 10 people inside a mosque compound.

Fierce street battles also raged in Gaza's Jabalia and Rafah where the armed wings of Hamas and its ally Islamic Jihad

Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. Ukrainian Armed Forces attack the territory of Crimea with missiles, there are dead
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Ukrainian militants launched a missile attack on the territory of Crimea on the evening of May 23, killing two people. This was announced by the head of the republic Sergei Aksyonov.

“As a result of a missile attack by the enemy on the territory of the peninsula in the Simferopol region, two bystanders were killed,” Aksyonov wrote in the Telegram channel.

The head of Crimea expressed condolences to the families and friends of the victims.

In addition, hits were recorded in the Alushta area; the strikes hit an empty commercial facility. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working at the scene of the incident, Aksyonov summarized.

As Regnum reported, on May 22, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Ukraine will decide for itself whether it should launch strikes deep into Russian territory. He emphasized that with regard to providing support for attacks outside of Ukraine, the State Department was not involved in this. At the same time, Blinken expressed a desire to ensure that Kiev receives the necessary equipment.

Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives Michael McCaul also on May 22 demonstrated a map of Russia and the zone that ATACMS operational-tactical missiles transferred to the Kiev regime can reach.

State Duma deputy from Crimea, member of the Security Committee Mikhail Sheremet (United Russia) reminded the United States of Russia’s ability to destroy any aggressor. According to him, in the US Congress, madness took precedence over the sense of self-preservation. He advised sensible Americans to remove from power politicians who are trying to plunge the world into the chaos of war.

Partisans: The occupiers' communications center was hit in Crimea

The Ates movement suggests that "there was significant damage to equipment and many occupiers were killed."

The communications center of the Russian invaders was hit on the night of Friday, May 24, in the city of Alushta in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The Atesh partisan movement announced this on its Telegram channel.

According to the partisans, military unit No. 28735, an important communication and control point for the invaders in Crimea, came under attack.

Previously, it was a Ukrainian military unit, but after the occupation the Russians began to use it.

“It seems that significant damage was caused to the equipment and many occupiers were killed. It was probably also possible to destroy the control center of this center. We are waiting for official confirmation from the JMA,” the partisans added.

Let us recall that earlier Crimean public pages reported the sounds of explosions in Simferopol, Dzhankoy, Yevpatoriya, Alushta and Partenit.

Houthi leader on the movement operation in the Mediterranean Sea
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] One of the Houthi operations was carried out against a target in the Mediterranean Sea, the leader of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, Abdel Malik al-Houthi, said on May 23, whose speech was broadcast by Al Masirah TV channel.

“One of our military operations this week was against a target in the Mediterranean,” he said.

According to the Houthi leader, a total of eight operations were carried out this week using 15 missiles and drones in the Red and Arabian Seas, the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean. In total, he said, the number of ships associated with Israel, the United States and Britain that were attacked reached 119.

As Regnum reported, on May 18, off the coast of the Yemeni city of Moha, an oil tanker was hit by a rocket. After this, a fire broke out on board. The ship was flying the flag of Panama. It received minor damage and continued to its next port of call.

Later, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) clarified that the Houthis allegedly attacked the M/T Wind oil tanker, which was allegedly heading to China. The US military claims that the ship moored in Russia before the voyage. It was operated by a Greek operator but flew the Panamanian flag.

On May 15, the Houthis said they attacked the US destroyer Mason in the Red Sea with a missile. In addition, they also launched a missile attack on the commercial ship Destiny, which was heading to the Israeli port of Eilat.

On May 8, the head of the Houthi Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, said at a military parade that the United States was sending “tempting offers” to stop the movement from attacking merchant ships in the Red Sea. He called these steps by the American leadership humiliating.
Indeed. Go Brandon.
Al-Mashat said the Houthis will continue their attacks in support of the Gaza Strip, whose residents are suffering from attacks by the Israeli army.
Update from the Times of Israel at 3:40 p.m. ET:
A missile attack targeted a commercial vessel transiting southwest of Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
’s port city of Hodeidah without causing any damage or casualties, maritime security firms said on Thursday, in an attack likely carried out by Yemen’s Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
rebels.

The vessel was "suspiciously approached" 68 nautical miles (125 kilometers) off Hodeidah, Ambrey said, without identifying the ship or the flag that it was flying.

"The vessel had undergone what she described as a ’missile attack’ at the location," it added, noting that "no injuries or damages were reported."

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, run by the Royal Navy, also reported an incident at the same location near the crucial Bab el-Mandeb Strait in the southern Red Sea, with "a missile impacting the water in close proximity" to the ship.

"Vessel and all crew are safe and proceeding to next port of call," it said in an advisory.

On Wednesday, US military forces shot down four drones in Houthi-controlled parts of Yemen, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said.

"It was determined these systems presented an imminent threat to US coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region," CENTCOM posted on social media platform X.

A day earlier the Iran-backed Houthis claimed that they had shot down an American drone over the country on the Arabian Peninsula. The US military acknowledged reports but didn’t comment.

A resident of Kabardino-Balkaria gets 15 years in the case of preparing a terrorist attack
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Kantemir Nafedzov, a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, finding him guilty of preparing a terrorist attack in Nalchik

According to the prosecution, from July 7 to August 24, 2023, Nafedzov participated in the activities of the banned terrorist organization “Islamic State (The Islamic State is prohibited in Russia),” sharing its ideology.

As the court established, the young man then decided to commit a terrorist attack in Nalchik. To do this, he observed administrative buildings and the city railway station, taking photos and videos near these objects.

Nafedzov conducted preparations for the terrorist attack “under the leadership of another member of the terrorist organization,” according to a publication on the court’s official Telegram channel dated May 22.

It also follows from the verdict against a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria that on August 8, 2023, he recorded an oath of allegiance to the leader of a terrorist organization on his mobile phone and sent it to someone on the Internet.

According to the court, using a mobile phone, he also received instructions from a member of a terrorist organization on how to make explosives and an improvised explosive device based on them. From August 15 to 17, the defendant purchased components for a homemade bomb in Nalchik, and on August 23, having made explosives and a homemade bomb at his home, he hid them in a cache. The next day, security forces detained Nafedzov, seizing these items from the cache.

The court found Kantemir Nafedzov guilty, sentencing him to 15 years of maximum security, with the first two years to be served in prison.

Nafedzov was found guilty on four counts: preparation of a terrorist act (Part 1 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of Russia), participation in the activities of a terrorist organization (Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code), illegal trafficking in explosives (Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code) and illegal production explosive devices (part 1 of article 223.1 of the Criminal Code). The statement from the court's press service did not specify whether he agreed with any part of the charges.

Nefedzov is 25 years old, he was born in the village of Shalushka in the Chegem region of Kabardino-Balkaria, as follows from the entry in the Rosfinmonitoring register of extremists and terrorists. The "Caucasian Knot" does not yet have any comments from the accused regarding the court's verdict.

The legacy of Cyril and Methodius. Russia remains the defender of Slavic culture
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Mikhail Moshkin

[REGNUM] On May 24, Russia, Bulgaria and Transnistria celebrate the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture. On the same day, North Macedonia celebrates the Day of Saints Cyril and Methodius. In all cases - among us, and among the Bulgarians, and among the Macedonians, and in the unrecognized republic on the Dniester - the triumph is associated with the names of the monastic brothers who, almost 1200 years ago, created the first Slavic alphabet and the Church Slavonic language. On July 5, missionary brothers are remembered in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The choice of dates is related to church tradition. Once upon a time, in Orthodox churches, the day of remembrance of the “holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Slovenian teachers” fell on May 24 (11th according to the old style). And Catholics commemorated the same saints on July 5th. When Cyril and Methodius set out on educational journeys, church schism had not yet divided the Slavic world.

DRC: Ally of President Tshisekedi elected head of parliament
[AFRICANEWS] The ally President Felix Tshisekedi returns to a role he has led before. Vital Kamerhe, speaker of the national assembly from 2006-2009, was elected Wednesday to the same position, ending months of bickering and a threat by the President to dissolve parliament.

A veteran of Congolese politics, the 65-year-old became allies with Tshisekedi in 2018, when he withdrew his candidacy for president.

His Union for the Congolese Nation party also played a key role in helping Tshisekedi in dismantle a coalition with his predecessor Joseph Kabila in 2020.

But Kamerhe who served as Tshisekedi's chief of staff was soon arrested and sentenced to 20 years in jail for embezzlement. In 2022, he was acquitted on appeal and released.

In 2023, Kamerhe returned to Tshisekedi's cabinet as minister of the economy just in time for the election in which Tshisekedi won a second term as president.

His election as speaker of parliament paves way for the formation of a new government.

The White House shifts its narrative as the Israelis prove Biden wrong on Rafah, says WSJ
[Jpost] ...According to WSJ, for months, the White House insisted Israel had "no credible plan" to evacuate Rafah’s 1.3 million residents. President Joe Biden asserted there was no feasible way to conduct a major military operation with so many civilians present, leading to an arms embargo on Israel. "We’re walking away from Israel’s ability to wage war in those areas," Biden said.

Despite these objections, Israel proceeded with its plans. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan both expressed doubts, claiming Israel had "no credible plan" and warning against launching a major operation into Rafah.

As the evacuation succeeded, the Biden Administration shifted its narrative, according to WSJ, claiming Israel had updated its plans to incorporate US concerns. A senior US official remarked, "It’s fair to say that the Israelis have updated their plans. They’ve incorporated many of the concerns that we have expressed." The official also suggested the operation might revive hostage negotiations.

Biden is losing World War III. three wars: the war in Ukraine, the war in the Middle East, and the new war over Taiwan
[TheHill] And another in Niger.

Our nation is being confronted with three wars: the war in Ukraine, the war in the Middle East, and the looming war over Taiwan and the South China Sea.

Actually, make that three and a half wars, if you include the war of influence we are losing in the Sahel region of Africa as U.S. forces abandon bases in Niger.

Biden, seemingly caught in the vice grip of November electoral calculus, is refusing even to acknowledge that we are already in World War III, let alone take the necessary measures to win it. As a result, our nation’s military, weapons and munitions production capacity, and its ability to engage with the cyberwarfare and disinformation emanating from Moscow and Beijing, are all woefully lacking. All require an immediate remedy.

Winning this increasingly kinetic global ideological war is our only way forward if liberal democracy is to prevail against Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping’s shared vision of a so-called multipolar world, militarily and economically dominated by Russia and China and anchored by BRICS.

Defending Michigan’s 15 electoral votes seemingly became more important than safeguarding Israel.

Mass Syria regime looting of homes revealed in explosive new report
[NEWARAB] As the Syrian regime retook the Damascus suburb of Harasta, one soldier from the elite Tiger Forces proudly proclaimed his intentions for the former opposition stronghold.

"Everyone is stealing, looting, not leaving anything... with God’s help, nothing will remain," he tells the camera.

During the same operation, numerous videos were shot showing mobs of uniformed and plain-clothed men stripping vacated homes of all their belongings, with washing machines, furniture, and even steel facades piled onto the back of trucks and military vehicles before they departed town.

"Farewell to Harasta," one soldier taunted the survivors in a video showing part of a convoy of military and civilian vehicles, some loaded with household items, leaving the neighbourhood. "This is how looting is done."

Such admissions are frequent in an explosive new report revealed by the Syria Justice and Accountability Centre, presenting evidence of widespread pillaging by regime soldiers as they 'liberated' rebel towns and suburbs.

The FSB publishes materials about the crimes of the US military in Berlin in 1945
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] US and French military personnel committed crimes against residents of occupied Berlin in 1945. Archival documents about this were published by the Russian FSB.

Since May 1945, the Soviet zone of occupation of Germany was administered by the Soviet Military Administration. The zone was divided into 14 operational sectors. One of them, Berlinsky, observed the situation and behavior of the Allied troops in the American, British and French zones of the city.

“As has been established, cases of hooliganism, robbery and violence against Germans by American military personnel do not stop, and these facts are increasing daily,” reported the head of the Berlin operational sector, Major General Alexei Sidnev, to the Deputy People's Commissar of Internal Affairs of the USSR Ivan Serov in November 1945.

Sidnev, in particular, reported that on October 21, two American soldiers stopped two Germans on Potsdamer Street who were returning home from work and asked for a light. Then, for no reason, they fired at the Germans, seriously wounding both.

On the evening of September 27, the materials say, three French soldiers raped a resident of a Berlin suburb named Agnes and the girl Riess, who was in the house. After that, they beat the woman and left, taking 200 marks and a gold watch from her.

Artist Kalin Paul was beaten on October 26 near the intersection of Südwestkorzo and Wiesbadenorstrasse after he prevented two American soldiers from raping a woman. Paul's nose was broken and his head was fractured.

On the same day, the American military - there were up to 50 people - burst into the Femina restaurant in the Berlin-Schöneberg district and demanded that the Germans there hand over all their valuables. The Americans took possession of watches, gold rings, women's fur collars and money.

In the American sector, ordinary Germans like the night watchman or the shoemaker often suffered from violence and robbery. In the French zone on October 27, the military robbed a Berlin resident and took away his radio. In the English zone on October 30, three servicemen took valuables from an apartment on Hosterstrasse.

In addition, Soviet counterintelligence recorded an increase in the activity of American, British and French intelligence services directed against the USSR. It was noted that the British and Americans tried to recruit prisoners of war released from camps, whose families lived in the Soviet zone of occupation of Germany, as well as young people from the Hitler Youth.

As Regnum reported, from documents previously declassified by the FSB, it follows that the leader of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, was waiting for a split between Great Britain, the USA and the USSR in 1944 in order to start fighting together with Washington and London against the Soviet Union.

Website Miracle: Pope Francis paves way for canonization of Carlo Acutis, first millennial saint
[FoxNews] Pope Francis issued a decree on Thursday announcing the recognition of a miracle attributed to Bl. Carlo Acutis — clearing the way for the Italian teenager's canonization in the near future.

Pope Francis, along with Cardinal Marcello Semaro, prefect of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints, announced the recognition of the miracle along with news that three others will be deliberated for canonization.

"Many Catholics around the world are overjoyed at the news that Carlo Acutis will be declared a saint," Courtney Mares, Vatican journalist and author of the book "Blessed Carlo Acutis: A Saint in Sneakers," told Fox News Digital on Thursday.

Acutis, born on May 3, 1991, in London, was a devout Catholic who created a website to document Eucharistic miracles, Fox News Digital previously reported. He died on Oct. 12, 2006, in Monza, Italy, shortly after a leukemia diagnosis. He was 15.

After his death, his website and legacy lived on — and in 2013 a miracle attributed to his intercession was approved and recognized by the Vatican. He was beatified, or given the title "Blessed," in Oct. 2020.

On July 8, 2022, Liliana [the girl's mother] prayed at Blessed Carlo’s tomb in Assisi, leaving a letter describing her plea. Six days earlier, on July 2, her daughter Valeria had fallen from her bicycle in Florence, where she was attending university," said Vatican News.

The girl suffered "severe head trauma" in the accident, said Vatican News; doctors had to remove part of her skull to relieve pressure on her brain. They were not optimistic that she would survive.

Liliana's secretary, who was devoted to Acutis, began praying for his intercession, said Vatican News. The day after she visited his tomb, the injured girl began to breathe on her own — and her recovery continued at a rapid, inexplicable pace.

The girl made a full recovery and required only a week of rehabilitation.

On July 18, a CAT scan proved that her hemorrhaging had disappeared, and on Aug. 11 Valeria was moved to rehabilitation therapy," said Vatican News.

She made a full recovery and required only a week of rehabilitation.

She herself made a pilgrimage to Acutis' tomb on Sept. 2, said Vatican News.

French police to remain in riot-hit territory of New Caledonia, says Macron
[BBC] President Emmanuel Macron has described rioting in the French-Pacific territory of New Caledonia as an "unprecedented insurrection movement" that no-one saw coming.

During a tour of police headquarters in the capital Nouméa on Thursday, he said the coming days and weeks would be difficult, but Paris would "go until the end" to restore calm.

Six people, including two police officers, have been killed and hundreds more wounded in riots, looting and arson triggered by a controversial electoral reform.

New Caledonia, a group of islands between Australia and Fiji, has been a French territory since the 19th Century. Tensions have been high for some time between the central government in Paris and indigenous Kanaks who make up about 40% of the tiny archipelago.

Kanak protesters fear that a new law giving voting rights to French residents who have lived there for more than 10 years will dilute the influence of the indigenous population.

However, the violence that began on 13 May is the worst unrest seen there since the 1980s.

A state of emergency has been imposed and President Macron has said that a 3,000-strong force deployed from France will remain - even during the Paris Summer Olympics if required.

Arriving in Nouméa after a 24-hour flight from Paris, President Macron said he wanted the return of peace, calm and security "as quickly as possible".

He paid respects to the victims of the riots, as he met local political and business leaders.

The summit included separatist leaders, who said beforehand that they hoped it could "breathe new life" into discussions with France.

Police have held 269 people since the violence began on 13 May, and New Caledonia is currently under a state of emergency.

But Mr Macron hinted that the emergency status could be lifted in the coming days, saying: "I personally believe that the state of emergency should not be extended".

New Caledonia has a population of about 300,000 people, including 112,000 indigenous Kanaks.

Under the 1998 Nouméa Accord, France agreed to give the territory more political autonomy and to limit voting in provincial and assembly elections to those who were residents then.

More than 40,000 French nationals have moved to New Caledonia since.

Last week, the National Assembly in Paris proposed granting voting rights to French residents who have lived in the territory for 10 years.

Because this requires a change to the constitution, the measure faces further hurdles.

The Nouméa agreement allowed for three referendums on the country's future. Independence was rejected in all instances.

The first two showed slim majorities for remaining part of France. The third, in December 2021, was boycotted by pro-independence parties because it was held during the Covid pandemic.

US service member critically injured during work on Gaza pier
[IsraelNationalNews] Defense officials say three US service members were injured, one of them critically, while supporting a mission to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

A US service member is in critical condition after sustaining a non-combat injury on Thursday while supporting humanitarian aid to Gaza, a US defense official said on Thursday.

"On May 23, a US service member sustained a non-combat related injury aboard USNS Benavidez (T-AKR 306) while in support of the humanitarian aid mission to Gaza," the official said, according to Fox News. "The service member was transported to a medical facility and is in critical condition at this time. More information will be provided as it becomes available."

Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that two US soldiers had suffered light injuries while working near the temporary US pier off the coast of Gaza.

The soldiers were evacuated through the Ashdod Port to an Israeli hospital.

During an on-record call later in the day, defense officials confirmed to reporters that three US service members were injured while supporting a mission to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

While one individual was found to be in critical condition, the other two sustained injuries that were "very minor," according to Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, who described them as "routine injuries."

He added that the two service members who sustained minor injuries had returned to duty.

[REGNUM] The first of three planned stages of exercises of non-strategic nuclear forces has started in the Southern Military District of Russia. The Ministry of Defense published a video showing the MiG-31I Dagger carrier and the Tu-22M3 missile carrier. The military department reported that the missilemen receive special ammunition for the Iskander operational-tactical missile system (OTRK), equip the launch vehicles with it, and then move to the designated area for launches. At the same time, the Aerospace Forces equip missiles, including the hypersonic Kinzhals, with special warheads, and then the fighters fly to patrol areas.

Human rights activists call mass abductions a sign of instability in Chechnya
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Some of the 80 abducted after the arson of a car linked to Adam Kadyrov have already been released, human rights activists said. Mass kidnappings against the backdrop of high-profile resignations indicate an unstable situation in Chechnya and are explained by the desire of the security forces to show their importance, they pointed out.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, at least 80 residents of Chechnya were, according to human rights activists, kidnapped after the arson of a car with a DUSTUM license plate associated with the son of the head of Chechnya, Adam Kadyrov. Volunteers were able to identify the names of some of the abducted people. In the village of Starye Atagi, Urus-Martan district, about 50 members of the family of Sayf-Islam Elmurzaev, who is suspected of setting fire to a car, were kidnapped, and about 30 people were kidnapped in the Shalinsky district, reported the Memorial Human Rights Protection Center*. Telegram channel opposition to the Chechen authorities reported on May 17 that most members of the Elmurzaev family had been released.

Chad: Idriss D by sworn in as president following disputed elections
[AFRICANEWS] Chad's president-elect, Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, was sworn in on Thursday at a ceremony in the capital, N’Djamena, attended by several leaders from the region.

Deby’s inauguration came a week after the constitutional council confirmed he had won the disputed 6 May election outright, with 61 per cent of the vote.

He seized power three years ago after the death of his father, Idriss Déby, who had ruled Chad with an iron fist for three decades.

A career soldier, Deby junior had promised to hold elections within 18 months, but his government postponed the poll and allowed him to run for president

Opposition leader, Succes Masra, a staunch opponent of the junta won a 18,5 per cent share of the vote.

He unsuccessfully challenged the results of the election, which international NGOs described as neither credible nor free.

Russian General Staff Purges News Roundup for May 23rd, 2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

The unofficial word on the multitude of bribery cases involving top Russian Ministry of Defense officials is that a separate wing of the Lubyanka -- the notorious NKVD/KGB prison -- in Moskva is being built to house all the detainees involved.

As you will see below, the investigations involving bribery have been ongoing since last year, so there is little indication of when the investigations will be complete.

An employee of the Russian Defense Ministry department for state defense procurement was detained in Moscow
[Regnum] In Moscow, Vladimir Verteletsky, head of the Department of the Ministry of Defense for Providing Defense Orders, was detainedon suspicion of taking a bribe. Izvestia writes about this with reference to sources.

According to the publication, Verteletsky helped the businessman obtain a government order and received a house and a car as a bribe.

As Regnum reported, on the same day it became known that the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Head of the Main Communications Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, General Vadim Shamarin, had been arrested for two months. He is accused of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The accused faces up to 15 years in prison.

On May 14, it became known that a criminal case was opened against the head of the main personnel department of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Yuri Kuznetsov, under the article of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He was arrested. During the searches, about 100 million rubles, jewelry and a collection of watches were found on Kuznetsov. The defense appealed the arrest. Later it became known that, according to the investigation, Kuznetsov received a bribe in the form of a cottage on Griboyedov Street in Krasnodar worth about 30 million rubles.

On April 24, the court arrested Russian Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov on charges of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale. According to the investigation, Ivanov, having entered into a criminal conspiracy, received property benefits from contracting and subcontracting work for the needs of the military department. The Deputy Minister of Defense did not admit his guilt in committing the crime.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov at a briefing on May 23 called the fight against corruption a consistent work of law enforcement agencies.

The Investigative Committee revealed details of the accusation against the ex-commander of the 58th Army of the Armed Forces Ivan Popov
Investigators are requesting the transfer of the former commander of the 58th Combined Arms Army, Ivan Popov, from custody to house arrest. He is suspected of theft of more than 1,700 tons of metal structures, official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee Svetlana Petrenko reported on May 23.

The Main Military Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee believes that Popov, suspected of fraud, can have his preventive measure changed. This is due to the characteristics of the person involved and other circumstances established during the investigation.

“According to the investigation, Popov was involved in the theft in 2023 of more than 1,700 tons of rolled metal products purchased by the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region as part of the provision of humanitarian aid,” Petrenko is quoted as saying on the department’s Telegram channel.

She added that the metal structures were intended for the construction of defensive fortifications. Their cost exceeds 130 million rubles.

As Regnum reported, on May 21 the court arrested General Popov for two months. The criminal case is being investigated under the article of fraud committed by an organized group on an especially large scale.

Ivan Popov’s father, in a conversation with the agency, stated that his son was not guilty of anything. Popov Sr. is convinced that ill-wishers deliberately “digged” for the general. He called the current situation a “set-up.”

Popov’s colleagues also do not believe in the version of the security forces. The soldiers are convinced that the general could not steal from his own people. According to them, he “jumped into the trenches with ordinary privates.”

According to the source, an apartment in Rostov-on-Don worth from 3.5 million to 6.2 million rubles was registered in the name of the arrested major general. Popov also registered two cars - a 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander (average price 1.5 million rubles) and a Cruze Chevrolet (approximate cost 500 thousand rubles). In 2020, Popov’s salary was 75 thousand rubles.

Popov commanded the 58th Combined Arms Army in 2023. Previously, he was the chief of staff of the 22nd Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces in Crimea and the chief of staff of the 11th Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kaliningrad region.

Those involved in the case of General Shamarin have been under arrest since the summer of 2023
The defendants in the criminal case of bribery of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, General Vadim Shamarin, General Director of the Perm Telephone Plant Telta OJSC Alexey Vysokov and the chief accountant of this enterprise Elena Grishina have been under arrest since the summer of 2023 on charges of fraud, it follows from the case materials.

“By the resolution of the Khamovnichesky District Court of Moscow dated March 14, 2024, Grishina E.V. and Vysokov A.P. extended the period of detention for 2 months 13 days, and in total up to 10 months 13 days, that is, until June 2, 2024 ", the court ruling says.

According to investigators, from April 2016 to October 2023, Shamarin received a bribe from Vysokov and Grishina in the amount of 36 million rubles for increasing the volume of products supplied under government contracts for the needs of the Ministry of Defense and general patronage. Shamarin used the funds received at his own discretion, the Investigative Committee added.

As reported by IA Regnum, the detention of 52-year-old Shamarin became known on May 23. On the same day, he was arrested for two months by a military court in the case of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale. Searches were carried out in his apartment.

The Kremlin explained the lieutenant general’s detention as a “fight against corruption”; the details of the case have not yet been disclosed. Shamarin could face up to 15 years in prison.

According to Vadim Shamarin’s official declaration, from 2011 to 2018, he earned from 1,975,264 to 3,119,610 rubles per year. His wife's official income ranged from 133,977 to 872,882 rubles per year. The serviceman's wife, according to official data, owned a 2013 Toyota RAV-4.

The police are also checking Shamarin for involvement in similar crimes. The investigation continues to actively collect evidence in the case of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale.

Yet more, again from regnum.ru
The court left the chief personnel officer of the Ministry of Defense Yuri Kuznetsov under arrest
The head of the main personnel department of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Yuri Kuznetsov, accused of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale, will remain under arrest. This decision was made on May 23 by the Second Western District Military Court, Izvestia writes.

The court left the decision of the first instance regarding the preventive measure against Kuznetsov unchanged. Previously, he was placed in custody for two months.

Lawyer Sergei Shcheglov asked that Kuznetsov be under house arrest in a house in the Istra district of the Moscow region. One of the owners of this home is the general’s wife.

Kuznetsov also asked to be released from custody. He said that he undermined his health when he eliminated the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

Investigators from the Investigative Committee will appear in court in the case of record bribes
Former head of the investigative department of the Russian Investigative Committee for Moscow, Marat Tambiev, as well as former investigator Kristina Lyakhovenko, will stand trial on charges of record bribes. Kommersant reports this

The material says that Tambiev is accused of ten counts of receiving bribes in the amount of more than one and a half million dollars and 2,718 bitcoins (about 7.3 billion rubles). Moreover, according to investigators, Tambiev also tried to enrich himself by another 1.3 million dollars (about 117 million rubles).

At the same time, according to investigators, senior lieutenant Lyakhovenko acted as an accomplice of Tambiev. She is accused of receiving a bribe, abuse of power, and falsifying evidence in a criminal case.

It is noted that the Balashikha court will consider the criminal case. The publication explains that initially the trial was supposed to take place in Moscow, but the Prosecutor General’s Office petitioned the Supreme Court to change the territorial jurisdiction, justifying this by the fact that Tambiev “has acquired connections in the judiciary of Moscow.” The Supreme Court granted the request of the Prosecutor General.

As Regnum reported, in June last year the Nikulinsky Court of Moscow seized more than a thousand bitcoins from Tambiev.

In 2022, Tambiev received a bribe from the hacker group Infraud Organization. The hackers did this with the aim of stopping the case against some of them that was pending.

The alleged bribe was discovered during a search of the investigator’s apartment, where they also found a laptop, which was only hacked several months later. In it, investigators saw a folder called “Pension”, which contained a photo of a sheet of paper with codes that allowed Tambiev to gain access to 932.1 and 100 bitcoins.

Aid deliveries began arriving at a US-built pier on Friday as Israel comes under growing global pressure to allow more supplies into the besieged coastal enclave.

The UN halted transport for two days while it came up with a new route. WFP spokesperson Shaza Moghraby said on Thursday that deliveries resumed on Tuesday with 17 trucks arriving at the warehouse, while on Wednesday there were 27 trucks.

A US official said on Thursday that so far some 800 metric tonnes of aid had been delivered off the pier to a staging area. USAID said that as of Tuesday more than 307 metric tonnes of aid had been transported from "to onward points in Gaza."

The enemy continues to level the city of Volchansk and its surroundings with controlled aerial bombs. Also during the day, the areas of the settlements of Bely Kolodets, Dergachi and Veseloye suffered from UABs,” the message says.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that intensive fighting is ongoing on the approaches to the city of Chasiv Yar and in the Ivanivsky district of Donetsk region.

The Chief of the Armed Forces spoke on Facebook about the situation in the Kharkiv and Donetsk directions .

According to the Holovkom, the most intense and fierce battles continue in the Pokrovsky and Kurakhiv directions. The enemy is trying to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a narrow section of the front between the settlements of Staromykhailivka - Berdychi through offensive and assault actions of the most prepared units.

"Offensive actions take place both with the use of armored vehicles and on foot, often on motorcycles and buggies," the soldier said.

Judge backtracks ruling that blocked Florida immigration law
Follow up to this story from yesterday.
[TheHill] Just hours after handing down a ruling confirming that an immigration law in Florida was blocked, a federal judge appeared to issue a reversal of his own ruling.

Judge Roy Altman issued an injunction Tuesday, temporarily blocking a key part of Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) immigration law, which would make it a felony to transport undocumented migrants colonists into the state.

Altman agreed with the Farmworker Association of Florida that federal immigration laws would likely preempt the law.

In a supplemental order issued Wednesday, Altman wrote he wanted to "clarify the scope of that preliminary injunction." The judge said there were several reasons why a statewide injunction should be appropriate in the case.

Hours later, Altman seemed to backtrack. He issued another order, noting that "on further reflection," he will be hosting a briefing on "the proper scope of the injunction."

The judge wrote that all parties must submit a brief by June 6 on whether the injunction should apply to the plaintiffs or be a district- or state-wide injunction.

In his original order, Altman rejected arguments from Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody (R) that an injunction could prevent law enforcement from doing its job, including in their efforts to identify people who are narcos.

Florida’s immigration law, SB 1718, was signed by DeSantis last year and led to some migrants colonists being relocated to blue states across the country on buses and planes.

Immigrant rights activists and the Farmworker Association of Florida filed the lawsuit last July, specifically focusing on the transportation of individuals who entered the country unlawfully.

Following Altman’s injunction, Spencer Amdur, a senior staff attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Immigrants colonists’ Rights Project, said the decision was the right call. He called the law unconstitutional and said it "threatened Floridians with jail time for doing the most ordinary things, like going to work, visiting family, and driving kids to soccer games."

"This ruling is an important victory for Florida communities," he said in a statement. The Hill has reached out to the ACLU for an updated comment on Altman’s decision.

The Miami Herald noted that the conflicting back-to-back orders from Altman on Thursday have created confusion about how pending cases will be prosecuted and how the injunction will proceed.

Stanichki near Smolensk, as a result of which the communication systems of the Russian air defense system of the 49th anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, which were located on this tower, ceased to function. 01:33 The United States does not encourage Ukraine to use Western weapons to attack Russian territory, but Kiev has the right to make its own decisions on how to wage war, Blinken said: “When it comes to authorizing and approving attacks outside of Ukraine, we did not do that, But Ukraine will have to make its own decisions, and I want to make sure that it gets the equipment it needs to effectively defend itself."

UN General Assembly approves a draft resolution on the 'genocide in Srebrenica'
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] On May 23, the UN General Assembly approved a draft resolution submitted by Germany and Rwanda on the “genocide in Srebrenica.”
Fortunately, absolutely nothing the UN General Assembly does matters.
Representatives of 84 countries voted in favor, and 19 countries voted against, including Russia, China, Belarus, Hungary and Cuba. Representatives of 68 countries abstained from voting.

Russia previously spoke out against the adoption of this resolution. On May 23, the Russian permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, called the voting results disgraceful and noted that the initiators of the resolution were pushing the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards confrontation.

As Regnum reported, on May 5, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the draft resolution on the events in Srebrenica submitted by Germany and Rwanda to the UN General Assembly was being promoted with the goal of “breaking the Serbs.” The project involves condemning only one side, Lavrov noted. Russia has previously blocked similar draft resolutions in the UN Security Council, the minister recalled.

On April 30, Nebenzya stated that the draft resolution violated the Dayton Agreement. The possible adoption of the initiative would have a disastrous effect on Bosnia and Herzegovina and could lead to destabilization of the entire Balkan region, he said. Nebenzya stressed that the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina must independently come to a consensus regarding their history.

Over the past year, the Serbian entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina has faced unprecedented pressure due to its refusal to impose anti-Russian sanctions, give up its powers to Sarajevo and join NATO, noted IA Regnum columnist Bogdan Kis in his article. This pushes the President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and his circle to serious actions that the collective West does not like, but brings the republic closer to a historic decision, the expert emphasized.

On May 23, Dodik announced that within 30 days the republic would present a project for the peaceful division of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Serbian people can no longer live in Bosnia and Herzegovina in its current form, Dodik emphasized.

Biden's daughter Ashley has finally admitted her diary about 'showers with dad' as well as fears she...
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]…was 'molested' is real. So, MAUREEN CALLAHAN demands: What IS the truth, Joe?

Now we know for certain: the diary, like the laptop, is real — and its contents are alarming.

So why isn't the media all over this?

In 2019, Ashley Biden, the then 37-year-old daughter of President Biden and his wife Jill, wrote in her journal about showering with her father at an inappropriate age as well as her fears that, as a child, she was sexually abused.

Explosive stuff. Not that you would have heard about it, thanks to a near-complete, years-long media blackout.

After undergoing treatment in rehab, Ashley moved to a halfway house in Florida, where she left the diary under a mattress.

The diary, which also contained details of her drug use, was then found in 2020 by a Florida woman who stole it, leaked its contents online, and sold it for $40,000.
"stole it". The dipshit left it when she moved out
All that time, the Biden campaign let the left-wing media, of its own volition, cast aspersions on the diary's authenticity, or dismiss it as a right-wing plant of dubious veracity, another Russia hoax. Just as with Hunter Biden's laptop.

Turns out both are all too real.

Russian historian explains why Germany did not recognize the siege of Leningrad as an act of genocide
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] In the conditions of a hybrid war, Germany has ceased to fear Russia and is now demonstrating its true attitude towards the events of World War II. This opinion was expressed to a Regnum news agency correspondent on May 23 by political scientist, historian, publicist, candidate of pedagogical sciences, deputy director of the Institute of CIS Countries Igor Shishkin, commenting on Germany’s refusal to recognize the blockade of Leningrad as an act of genocide.

Shishkin noted that Germany, which was defeated in World War II, was forced to admit its crimes. However, this does not mean that she admits her guilt for these crimes. Also, one should not conclude that today's Germans really condemn the actions of their ancestors, the political scientist added.

“They celebrated May 8th as liberation day, but did anyone really believe that the Germans on that day sincerely believed that they had been liberated? These people fought to the last drop of blood near Berlin or at Lake Balaton in Hungary. Now, in the conditions of the hybrid war of the West against Russia, the Germans believe that they can already openly express their opinion about the events of the Second World War. However, they will not say anything similar in relation to the USA and Great Britain,” the historian noted.

He recalled that the Berlin authorities on May 8 and 9 officially banned the use of symbols of the Soviet Union, which liberated the city. A document was adopted banning the symbols and songs of the Red Army, which dealt a mortal blow to the Third Reich.

The political scientist added that against this background one could expect that they would not admit that they had committed an act of genocide. This is what you would expect. They are no longer afraid of Russia in the context of a hybrid war against it, believing that the West can now defeat the Russian Federation. That is why they openly demonstrate their true attitude to the events of World War II.

“If they had the opportunity to do the same with the Americans or the British, they would do it. Russia needs to successfully complete the special operation and achieve the complete defeat of the West in the hybrid war. Then the Germans will again bring flowers to the memorials to Soviet liberating soldiers. It is important to understand that they used to do this out of fear. And the disappearance of fear has led to the fact that they now dare not recognize the crimes of Nazism,” Shishkin emphasized.

As reported by Regnum news agency, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated that the German authorities refuse to recognize as acts of genocide the crimes against humanity committed by the Nazis on the territory of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War, primarily the blockade of Leningrad. This is exactly the answer Berlin gave to the corresponding note from Russia. The Russian Federation condemns this position, considers it immoral and disgusting, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized.

On March 18, Russia demanded that Germany officially recognize the siege of Leningrad and other crimes of the Third Reich as an act of genocide. The Russian Embassy in Berlin sent a corresponding note to the German Foreign Ministry.

On April 18, Zakharova stated that the German leadership had not responded to the specified note from Russia within a month. Berlin will not be able to avoid answering this question; Moscow will continue to persistently and systematically convey to the public the truth about the crimes of Nazi Germany, the official representative of the ministry emphasized.

In April, the Foreign Ministry announced a notification that the Russian embassy in Germany had received that Germany considered the participation of Russian officials in commemorative events dedicated to the anniversary of the liberation of Nazi concentration camp prisoners undesirable.

The siege of Leningrad lasted from September 8, 1941 to January 27, 1944. More than 100 thousand high-explosive and incendiary bombs were dropped on the city, and 150 thousand heavy artillery shells were fired into peaceful areas of Leningrad. Almost 17 thousand people died in the shelling, and famine claimed the lives of 632 thousand inhabitants.

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, said that Russia condemns the decision of the Berlin police to ban symbols associated with the Great Patriotic War (WWII), the USSR and the modern Russian Federation on May 8 and 9, and calls for it to be canceled and to stop rewriting history.

The head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Slutsky, commenting on the ban on Victory paraphernalia in Germany, called it “blasphemy and impudence.”

According to the deputy, the Germans see a threat even in the St. George’s ribbon and this is not the first time they are trying to “retouch the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Soviet people by Hitler’s Germany.”

Mass exodus from Abu Shouk camp as violence escalates in El-Fasher
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Amidst escalating violence and widespread abuses by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), an estimated 60% of residents have fled the Abu Shouk camp in El-Fasher, North Darfur. The camp, home to approximately 400,000 displaced persons, was overrun by the RSF on Wednesday, triggering a wave of killings, lootings, arrests, and arson, particularly in sections 27 and 28.

Adam Rijal, spokesperson for the Coordination of Displaced Persons and Refugees in Darfur, told Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
Tribune that the exodus began early Thursday morning, with thousands fleeing the northern sections of the camp "to unknown areas." Rijal detailed the extensive violations suffered by residents, including looting, robbery, and direct gunfire into homes.

The mass displacement is fueled by both the RSF’s brutal actions and the indiscriminate shelling of the camp by both sides of the conflict. The RSF was eventually repelled from Abu Shouk by a joint force of armed movements and pushed back to the Mali Gate.

Meanwhile,
...back at the the conspirators' cleverly concealed hideout the long-awaited message arrived. They quickly got to work with their decoder rings...
intense festivities persist near Abu Shouk and the nearby Naivasha camp, causing numerous injuries and destroying homes. Eyewitnesses report the use of heavy weaponry, with the conflict showing no signs of abating.

El-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, has been engulfed in bloody conflict for two weeks between the army, allied armed movements, and the RSF, resulting in a significant civilian corpse count. In a surprising development, an army position in northern El-Fasher abruptly withdrew, citing ammunition shortages, inadvertently allowing the RSF to infiltrate the Abu Shouk camp.

In an effort to bolster the army and its allies, a military source revealed a successful airdrop operation delivering military equipment to El-Fasher. However,
it was a brave man who first ate an oyster...
the situation on the ground remains dire, with the humanitarian crisis deepening as thousands of displaced individuals seek safety and refuge.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Netanyahu says has 'plans' for front with Lebanon
[NEWARAB]Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that his government has "detailed, important, and even surprising plans" regarding Israel's front with Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
, as quoted by Haaretz.

His comments come during a visit to the Israeli army's Northern Command where Netanyahu met its commander and divisional commanders.

"[The plans] are meant to bring security back to the north and return the residents safely to their homes."

OMG: US Air Force analyst admits no data exists to support implementing DEI policies
OMG Must have a hawt undercover girl
Or undercover boy. For some reason lots of these people Reveal All to cute guys who listen and reflect back what’s being said. Honestly, it’s still amazing to watch how happy people are to tell all their secrets to the one person who should never hear them.
[PM] A US Air Force analyst was caught on an OMG hidden camera revealing that no data exists to support enacting DEI policies in the US Armed Forces but that the military branch implemented them anyway and covered it up. Jake Reyna, a Department of Defense and US Air Force Operations Research Analyst for the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion revealed to an undercover O’Keefe Media Group journalist, "We basically contacted everybody who had a title like that and got them to sneakily change their title so it doesn’t sound as diversity oriented even though it is."

Reyna, knowing that the GOP has attempted to cut back the government’s use of discriminatory DEI policies, confessed that the Air Force manipulates job titles to cheat the system out of a higher salary for DEI personnel. "We just weaseled around it. There’s nothing really they [Republicans] would be able to do," Reyna claimed.

He added that the cover-up to conceal their actions moved "into this other group called Manpower and Readiness" to avoid their activity being detected. Reyna noted that DEI training is mandatory for US airmen and if one chooses not to participate, he or she "wouldn’t be qualified for promotions or he’d get reprimanded and...he’d get written up" before eventually being dishonorably discharged and stripped of all benefits.

Reyna admitted to the OMG journalist that the Air Force has no data to support enacting DEI policies confessing, "I don’t know if there’s any specific data you can provide outside of just saying like, yeah, we’re getting more diverse talking about changing officers."

He was asked by the undercover journalist "In your experience, have you seen or have you come across any data that actually serves as evidence that indeed DEIA candidates or troops perform better than non-DEIA troops?" Reyna answered, "No, I don't think so."

The analyst also said that white men are "definitely stupid" and "definitely suck." And believes that white men "probably" make the military weaker. OMG contacted the Air Force for comment and was told in a statement, "This individual was not speaking on behalf of the Department of the Air Force."
Of course he wasn’t speaking in an official capacity — it’s an undercover interview. The question is whether the Air Force is doing the things the gentleman said they’re doing.

#1  He right. The judiciary has screwed up a lot of things playing social architect rather than being the protector of the Constitution. Power corrupts. So many times they should have told people to go punt, its not the power of the courts to alter the Constitution. That is the sole power of Congress and the States.

#2  Yes, Roberts continues to seek a 'balanced approach' from the bench.

#3  Its that whole "penumbra" reasoning, looking for context in the simple declarative English sentence, instead of just accepting in de facto!

“Roman laws tended to be long and complex – one of Rome’s most enduring legacies to the world is cumbersome and tortuous legal prose.”

Inmate 'gang raped' in Rawalpindi's Adiala jail
[GEO.TV] In yet another incident of sexual abuse, a prisoner was allegedly subjected to gang rape by two of his fellow inmates in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.

Rehan Khan, the victim, lodged an FIR with Saddar Bairooni Police Station, saying that two of his fellow inmates subjected him to gang-rape on the night of May 18 at the barrack.

Narrating his ordeal, Rehan, a resident of Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistain's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire...
, said that the police personnel from Shalimar cop shoppe in Islamabad took him into custody in a case on January 25 and shifted him to Rawalpindi Jail.

The incident took place at 11pm, Rehan said, adding that he informed the deputy superintendent of jail about the sexual assault.

The jail officer told him that he would produce him before the jail superintendent the next day.

The next day, the victim said that he was produced before a court in Islamabad, where he was acquitted after completing the jail term. After the court’s verdict, Rehan said that he was released with immediate effect.

Later, the victim of sexual abuse approached the police and get registered his complaint at the Rawalpindi cop shoppe against the two suspects.

According to the coppers, they were probing the incident and collecting the evidence in this regard.

Earlier in January, an under-trial prisoner was strangled to death before being subjected to sexual abuse by four inmates.

A protracted magnetic storm K-index 4 has begun on Earth
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] On May 22, another magnetic storm covered the Earth. Its strength according to the internationally accepted K-index indicator is not very high and reaches 4 (out of 9 possible) points. However, the storm is expected to last for a long time, and it could negatively affect the operation of power grids, satellite systems and other technologies.

A special blow threatens residents of Primorye, reports UssurMedia news agency.

Experts predict that the geomagnetic storm will end on May 25. For four days, the atmosphere will absorb bursts of solar energy. As a result, weather-sensitive people may experience headaches, muscle pain, and general weakness.

The previous magnetic storm was recorded in early May. Its power was 9 points, which is why it was recognized as a record in the 21st century. Residents of some southern regions could even observe the northern lights, which were unusual for this area.

The K-index, an indicator of geomagnetic activity, was introduced in 1938. It represents the deviation of the Earth's magnetic field over a three-hour interval - from 0 to 9 points.
