I will not call these ladies loafers--
"We will!" creak their weary sofas.
"Lolling round in frilly cuffs..."
"Why don't these gals get off their duffs--"
"And do the dishes--"
"Take some classes--"
"Spare us poor upholstered masses!"
Swoons and fits! A thousand ouches
From a thousand grouchy couches!
Doink! A shriek. A sudden spring.
One ottoman begins to sing.
[Insider] There were plenty of nice houses in the village, but this building was one of the few that was left to crumble. The cottage was old and weathered, and the masonry walls were full of cracks.
"It was kind of dilapidated, so I always thought it was a bit of a shame that it was left to this condition," Dunnett, a 28-year-old video editor, told Insider.

[History.net] Behold the Lockheed U-2, as imperfect an airplane as has ever flown. A hastily designed stopgap intended to fly for two or perhaps four years at most, its fragility and truculence a destroyer of airframes and killer of pilots at an unprecedented rate. An airplane so difficult to land that YouTube is filled with videos of careening U-2s being chased by landing coaches in Camaros and Firebirds. A quasi-military spyplane that was originally ordered and paid for by civilians—that in fact was largely postulated and laid out by MIT and Harvard academics and a Cambridge entrepreneur, nary a pilot nor aeronautical engineer among them.
Some in the U.S. Air Force called it the Useless Deuce, yet the U-2 became one of the most important aircraft ever to fly. The U-2 kept us out of World War III with the Soviet secrets it revealed during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. And though its Soviet overflights ended in disaster—the infamous Francis Gary Powers shootdown in May 1960—the U-2 had already proved that Americans needn’t have worried about Soviet bombers targeting us. Mutually assured destruction, if it ever came to that, meant the U.S. would assuredly destroy the USSR.
Sixty years after the U-2A entered service, the latest model, the U-2S (an improved version of the highly modified U-2R), continues to fly carrying sensors undreamed of during the U-2’s photorecon glory days. Its intended successor, the SR-71, quickly came and went at Mach 3, and is today parked in museums. Surveillance satellites that supposedly could read license plates from space have yet to fully replace the U-2, and this remarkable reconnaissance platform’s real successor will be a drone—a UAV based on, yes, the U-2R.

Loiter time and relatively cheap to operate compared to the Blackbird or orbital platforms, and it goes where you have minimal coverage and boosts imagery bigly. I'm reminded of large scale maneuvers at Ft. Irwin in the early 80's when we would stop certain things or reconfigure the location of key assets so that the SovBirds couldn't get a solid template of what went where for targeting doctrine. The Sat overpass times were specific and upon occasion we wrote things on white packing materials that were decidedly impolite and often anatomically impossible.

...A tactical draw, but a strategic victory for the US - the Japanese lost one CV, losses to the Japanese carrier aircrews were bad, and that was aggravated by the fact that the IJN's aircrew training couldn't turn out anywhere near the numbers needed fast enough to sustain combat.
That meant that two fleet carriers sat out Midway...and history tells us what happened next.
So Macron's party has been bitchslapped, Johnson's government is about to fall, Scholz's Germany is facing ruin, and Biden's party is about to lose control of Congress.
What's all this then?
Just a month or two ago we were told it was Russia that was going to collapse and that "the West is united" in facing down Russia. That Ukraine was winning the war. That "the ruble will be rubble" and that Putin was ill, deranged, deluded, disappeared or about to be disappeared in a putsch and blah blah blah.
Oh, and let's not forget Justin Castro Trudeau. Then again, he was just recently voted in, more or less, so Canada get what it voted for (unless those election results were of dubious origin, too).

[IsraelTimes] Video said to show blindfolded Paleostinians led through street by troops near Ramallah; military holds drill near Hebron
A Paleostinian man, Rafiq Riyad Ghannem, 20, was shot and killed by Israel Defense Forces fire close to the northern West Bank city of Jenin on Wednesday morning, the Paleostinian Authority health ministry said.
The IDF said in a statement that troops were carrying out an operation in the town of Jaba’ to detain an individual suspected of involvement in terror activities, and that he was shot as he tried to escape.
"During the operation, the force initiated arrest procedures, which included shooting, for a suspect who beat feet from a building," the military said.
The IDF said troops provided medical treatment to the suspect, but he was later declared dead.
Despite the military’s assertion that the "circumstances of the case are clear," no further information was provided as to whether the suspect was armed or posed a threat.
Army Radio said that Ghannem’s body was being held by Israeli authorities.
Ghannem’s death came three days after 17-year-old Paleostinian Kamel Abdullah Alawneh, shot by Israeli soldiers during festivities also in Jaba’ over the weekend, died of his wounds. According to both military and Paleostinian media accounts, Alawneh was shot while clashing with Israeli troops who set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village. The IDF said a Paleostinian hurled a Molotov cocktail at the soldiers, who fired at the suspect in response. The Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase.... Fifty Paleostinians have been killed since late March across Israel and the Paleostinian territories, including attackers or individuals clashing with troops, suspected Lions of Islam and innocent bystanders.
Over the same period 19 people — the majority of them Israeli civilians inside Israel — have been killed in terror attacks, mainly by Paleostinians. Three Arab Israeli attackers have also been killed.
Wednesday’s Jaba’ clash took place as 24 wanted Paleostinians suspected of terror activities were arrested by Israeli security forces during raids across the West Bank overnight, the IDF said. Weapons were also seized and festivities broke out in a number of locations.
The military said 14 people were detained in Silwad, near Ramallah. Video circulating on social media purported to show a number of men wearing blindfolds being escorted by Israeli troops through a street in the village.
The reported shooting and arrests came as the IDF kicked off a military exercise in the area surrounding Hebron. The military said that the exercise, set to end Wednesday afternoon, was pre-planned as part of its training program.
On Tuesday, the IDF said troops were targeted in a drive-by shooting near a checkpoint by the entrance of an illegal outpost in the northern West Bank.
According to the military, troops returned fire but the vehicle expeditiously departed at a goodly pace. No Israeli injuries were reported. The military launched a manhunt for the button men.
Last week, three Israelis, including a senior IDF officer, were lightly hurt after Paleostinian button menshot up Joseph’s Tomb on the outskirts of Nablus, while Jewish worshipers were visiting the site.
[IsraelTimes] Yitzhak Dahan, 47, says assailant passed him on pedestrian bridge outside city, assaulted him from behind with metal object
The Shin Bet security agency said on Wednesday that a Paleostinian man who allegedly attacked and seriously hurt a Bnei Brak resident a day earlier had been arrested.
Early Tuesday morning, Yitzhak Dahan, 47, was maimed in a suspected terror attack on a pedestrian bridge between the ultra-Orthodox city and neighboring Givat Shmuel. His condition has since improved.
The Shin Bet did not say where or when the suspect was arrested and further details relating to the attack were barred from publication due to a court-imposed gag order.
Dahan told Channel 12 news on Wednesday that he passed the alleged assailant at the entrance to the bridge as he saw him reaching into a bag. "And after a few seconds, he came up behind me and inflicted blows on my head with something, probably metal," Dahan said.
Citing unsourced assessments, Channel 12 said the weapon could have been a hammer or an axe.
Dahan was taken by medics to the Tel Hashomer hospital in Ramat Gan, which said he was suffering from a wound to his head.
The suspected terror attack came following a string of deadly incidents between mid-March and the beginning of May that left 19 people dead.
The most deadly attack — in which five people were killed — occurred in Bnei Brak.
[MAIL] Surveillance footage caught the shocking moment a New York City bodega worker allegedly stabbed a customer to death, after the man violently confronted him about the price of some snacks.
Video shows the employee - 51-year-old Jose Alba - sitting behind a counter at the Hamilton Heights grocery store, tending to customers on Friday night.
A man then pushed Alba into a shelf and appears to confront him, before yelling at another customer trying to purchase something.
He pulls Alba up out of the chair, at which point Alba reaches to the right toward shelves displaying an assortment of candy, and pulls out a large knife, which he allegedly plunges into the man's neck and chest at least five times.

[Jerusalem Post] In the course of their research, scientists found that the neurological effects of long-COVID were strikingly similar to neurodegenerative diseases caused by cytotoxic aggregates on the brain. This is to say, they witnessed a buildup of protein fragments from the SARS-CoV-2 virus which formed clumps in the brain, similar to those found in patients with Alzheimer's or Parkinson's diseases.
"If further studies are able to prove that the formation of these amyloids is causing long-COVID, then anti-amyloid drugs developed to treat Alzheimer’s might be used to treat some of the neurological symptoms of long-COVID."

The study also showed that the clumps, in addition to being problematic by their presence, are highly toxic to brain cells.
However, this grim prognosis may actually be a compass to point in the direction of a treatment plan.
Dr. Mirren Charnley, a postdoctoral researcher at Swinburne explained that "if further studies are able to prove that the formation of these amyloids is causing long-COVID, then anti-amyloid drugs developed to treat Alzheimer’s might be used to treat some of the neurological symptoms of long-COVID."

Plus Side ... is I can actually feel very low audio sounds like our Postal Mail Vehicle 1/2 a block away or feel a car rolling down the street.

TW because they specifically mention need for testing in their info add on radio. This office has at least two Doctors of Audiology at my location. Losing high frequency at 3800 and above is normal for most people. Age related but more common in men but that's because he hears only what he wants to hear. 3,500 inner hair cells and 12,000 outer hair cells at birth but outer are the ones that suffer most damage. When you hear ringing after a loud noise that is damage. I have always felt magnesium helped hair cells. Say the word Thaw and high frequency loss is Th sound whereas aw is low frequency sound. Yes, most will want to fit you with hearing aids for both ears 4000 on up. Use both ears to hear and cup each ear for a 10db increase in hearing for each ear. Lip read works also. A pair might cost 3-11,000 dollars and be good for 3-5 years. I would say you are borderline. It is your own mind that will motivate you. I don't believe you will see much benefit. Use speaker phone as this will aid you for the summation effect. Little things like cell phone ring on TV you may not hear. Rubbing fingers together next to your ear you might not hear (that shows you range of hearing). Pen click sound also.
[WND] A string of recent overdoses in Gadsden County, Florida, are believed to be tied to laced pills containing fentanyl in what the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) characterized as a "mass fentanyl poisoning event."
Gadsden County Sheriff Morris Young said his office received about 15 calls on Friday related to the incident. There were nine deaths between Friday and Tuesday, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.
The fatalities are due to a suspected strain of fentanyl suspected to be 1,000 times more potent than pure fentanyl, Young explained on a Sunday Facebook livestream, citing his conversations with the DEA.
"So, we suspect that this was due to some type of an opioid or poisoning, such as fentanyl," Young said.
#3
a suspected strain of fentanyl suspected to be 1,000 times more potent than pure fentanyl,
That sounds like BS. Unlike viruses, isomers or variants of organic chemicals are seldom referred to as strains, and if there was a 'strain' of fentanyl 1000x more potent (whatever that means exactly), wouldn't that be in common medical use instead?
Some of the fentanyl consumed was believed to be laced with cocaine and marijuana.

Drugs should be legal.
You wanna see school children dropping dead on their playgrounds? Because that's what would happen. You'd be stepping over their excrement and their lifeless bodies on the sidewalks too. We know this because in San Francisco drugs are essentially legal and that is exactly what is happening there. Yeah, and they're too stoned to hold jobs so they steal and rob when they need money for their next fix so you'll have to deal with that too. Don't believe me? Ask the Chinese. It only ended in that country when Mao had them all shot. Millions of them. That's what you want for America?
But, yes, we are stuck with the problem in America as long as our political and corporate elites keep pretending that it's OK to do business with China and that it's OK to leave our southern border wide open.

an estimated 100,306 drug overdose deaths in the United States during 12-month period ending in April 2021
How many of those who died had first been saved repeatedly by that emergency injection first responders now routinely carry in their kit? Because X died, 5X saved who would otherwise have died , or possibly X died, on average each one who died had been saved from an overdose death three times previously would put the raw death number into perspective.

Many were never caught, but those that were usually ended facing a teacher or principal who had seen up close what the swastika stood for, and received guidance. And then they were marched up to their parents, many of whom had boots on the ground in the ETO...and from who more guidance was given.
And did not do it again. I wish this young man had had just one man like that in his life; maybe things would have been different.

[IsraelTimes] State Department contradicts IDF assertion that Israeli officials examined projectile, which was found to be too damaged to conclusively conclude who killed Al Jazeera journalist.
The United States said Tuesday that only experts on its own team examined the bullet that killed journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, after Israel claimed its own authorities had participated in the forensic analysis.
The Paleostinian Authority had reluctantly handed over the bullet to the United States and said it was not giving it to Israel, fearing a whitewash. But on Monday, the Israeli army said in a statement that Israeli experts had done forensic analysis on the bullet in a laboratory in the Jewish state.
This came two days after IDF front man Ron Kochav further fanned the flames by claiming after the bullet was transferred to the US embassy in Jerusalem that US officials would merely be observing the Israeli analysis of the bullet.
The IDF clarified in its Monday statement that the bullet remained in the possession of US authorities from the moment the PA transferred it to them on Saturday until it was returned on Monday. Nonetheless, Kochav’s comments led to criticism in Paleostinian circles that the analysis had been a joint US-Israeli venture.
On Tuesday, State Department front man Ned Price insisted that the examination was carried out by two members on the team of the US Security Coordinator (USSC), which liaises with the Paleostinian Authority and Israel on security assistance.
He did not identify the experts by name or nationality, noting that non-Americans were on the staff, but said they had "a combined 42 years of experience."
"Local experts, whether they were Israeli or Paleostinian, did not conduct the USSC examination of the bullet," Price said.
"The USSC had full custody of the bullet from the moment it was provided by the PA to the USSC until the moment it was returned by the USSC to the PA," he said.

[IsraelTimes] Ice cream maker files lawsuit in US federal court against agreement between Unilever and Ben & Jerry’s Israel, saying it violates acquisition deal and firm’s social mission.
Ben & Jerry’s filed a US federal lawsuit on Tuesday against its parent company, seeking to block an agreement with an Israeli firm that would allow sales of its product in the West Bank, as the legal battle over the ice cream maker’s attempted boycott of settlements continued.
The Vermont-based firm filed the civil suit in the US Southern District Court of New York against Conopco, the main US branch of Unilever, the parent company of Ben & Jerry’s.
The lawsuit argues that Unilever breached its acquisition deal with Ben & Jerry’s by announcing an agreement last week with the Israeli vendor that produces and distributes the ice cream in the country to continue sales in the West Bank, after the Ben & Jerry’s board said it was halting sales in "occupied Paleostinian territory" last year.
Unilever reached an agreement with Avi Zinger, the owner of Ben & Jerry’s Israel, and his company American Quality Products (AQP), giving it permanent independence to continue sales in Israel and the West Bank with the Ben & Jerry’s logos in Hebrew and Arabic, but not English. The boycott was set to come into effect at the end of 2022, when Ben & Jerry’s contracts with Zinger were due to expire.
Ben & Jerry’s is seeking an injunction to prevent the move, as well as damages from the agreement and all profits Unilever makes from it. Ben & Jerry’s had previously said it would no longer profit from sales in Israel.
The court denied a Ben & Jerry’s request for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction against Unilever’s agreement with Zinger.
In response to the lawsuit, Unilever told The Times of Israel it "had the right to enter this arrangement. The deal has already closed. We do not comment on pending litigation."
The board decided to file litigation against the move on Friday in a 5-2 decision, with its two Unilever appointees dissenting.
The lawsuit refers to sales in the West Bank only and does not refer specifically to settlements, Jerusalem or sales in Israel at any point.

[IsraelTimes] For second time in weeks, Moscow slams Israel for ’violating Syrian illusory sovereignty,’ says 2 civilians were maimed in strike and severe damage caused to civilian infrastructure.
Moscow on Monday condemned an alleged Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... near a Russian stronghold in Syria over the weekend, calling Israel’s years-long air campaign in Syria "categorically unacceptable" and demanding it cease. Moral Authority card was dishonored.
"We strongly condemn such irresponsible actions that violate the illusory sovereignty of Syria and the basic norms of international law, and we demand their unconditional cessation," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in a statement.
The relatively rare daytime strike on Saturday targeted an area near the Syrian town of al-Hamidiyah, south of Tartus, which is home to Russia’s main naval base in the region. Two civilians were maimed and serious damage was caused to civilian infrastructure, Moscow said.
Syria has fingered Israel as responsible as well, though the IDF has yet to respond, in line with its policy of generally maintaining silence regarding specific actions in Syria.

[PJ] There might be something strange going on with the Highland Park killer’s parents, and the authorities aren’t yet willing to say exactly what.
It’s a story involving guns, police visits, a mysterious UPS Store mailbox, and a legal system with a "catch-and-release" policy regarding the dangerously mentally ill.
We’ve learned in the last couple of days that the alleged killer was yet another one of those "known wolves" that police were powerless to do anything about. What stands out in this case is what the parents may have done to enable their son.
Before we continue, please understand that I’m not saying the parents did anything in particular to make this young man into a murderer or that they knew he would kill. Parents all have their own blind spots when it comes to our kids.
That’s what makes this a tough column to write. It’s every parent’s darkest fear — the one we try not to talk about: what if it were our kid suspected of mass murder?
CBS Chicago reported Tuesday on two strange incidents but the station hasn’t yet been able to explain either of them.
The man charged with killing seven people at an Independence Day parade confessed to police that he unleashed a hail of bullets from a rooftop in suburban Chicago and then fled to the Madison, Wisconsin area, where he contemplated shooting up an event there, authorities said Wednesday.
The gunman turned back to Illinois, where he was later arrested, after deciding he was not prepared to pull off a shooting in Wisconsin, Lake County Major Crime Task Force spokesman Christopher Covelli said at a news conference following a bond hearing.
An Illinois judge ordered the suspect to be held without bail.
Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney Ben Dillon said in court that the gunman “looked down his sights, aimed” and fired at people across the street, killing seven and wounding more than two dozen. He left the shells of 83 bullets and three ammunition magazines on the rooftop.
Federal agents were reviewing Crimo’s online profiles, and a preliminary examination of his internet history indicated that he had researched mass killings and had downloaded multiple photos depicting violent mostly peaceful acts, including a beheading, a law enforcement official said.
The official could not discuss details of the investigation publicly and spoke to The News Agency that Dare Not be Named on condition of anonymity.
At a bond hearing, Judge Theodore Potkonjak orders Crimo, who has been charged with seven counts of first-degree murder, to be held without bail and to appear on July 28 for a preliminary hearing.

I'm no expert but it seems like it might take some time for one lone shooter to fire that many shots and hit that many people. Surely the people were all running for cover after the first few shots. Couldn't they find any cover? How were that many people like so many sitting ducks? Or...did this admittedly deranged young man have an accomplice?

Mr. Crimo is apparently a middle child, with nothing of interest reported about the two siblings.

The background info looks worse and worse on this for the parents. Of course, the Crumbleys don't look good either.
We allow people to sue companies over defective products. The judicial establishment likes to blame the gun, not the shooter.
Nothing will change until that misplaced focus is corrected...

Mayor “Civil Discourse” Lightfoot announced that if she gets re-elected there will be a NASCAR street course race in Chicago the next three years. What could go wrong? “The Drive-By Shooting 500, sponsored by Glock, featuring Sniper Corner.”
[Breitbart] Harvard University professor Kenneth Rogoff warned of the possibility of a recession in the United States and predicted that the Federal Reserve is unlikely to secure a "soft landing" for the economy during a Wednesday appearance on the Fox Business Network.
A transcript is as follows:
MARIA BARTIROMO: I’m wondering if the sell-off in the price of oil has to do with these expectations that we’re seeing in this sharp slowdown in the macro. If you believe things will slow real fast and pretty significantly, you’ll believe oil prices will come down, right? Or is it a different scenario because of the supply and demand dynamics of not a lot of supply of oil and gas from here in America?
KENNETH ROGOFF: First off, Europe is in worse shape than we are. They have the energy problem, dependent on Russia and facing the costs of the war much more. That’s also part of the global oil story. Maybe China isn’t picking up as fast as some reports are saying. The oil is a globally determined price. But the United States still has a very high level of inflation and a very strong job market. I feel from strong conviction is the Fed’s not going to get its wish of a soft landing and I’m betting they’re going to blank, but I don’t think they’re going to be able to bring inflation down to target in the next year or year and a half and not have a pretty big recession.

[ZERO] Police claim a tip from a concerned citizen foiled a planned mass shooting at an evening July 4th celebration at a packed Richmond amphitheater.
Now, 52-year-old Julio Alvardo-Dubon and 38-year-old Rolman A. Balacarcel sit in the Richmond city jail, each initially charged with being a non-U.S. citizen in possession of a firearm. Both are Guatemalans in the United States illegally, and it's been claimed at least one has already been deported multiple times.
Suggestive. Vicious criminal or straight up gangster?
Apparently reflecting the fact that he was only charged with illegal possession, Alvardo-Dubon's bond was set at just $15,000, and it isn't clear if he's already been released, according to the Associated Press. There's no report yet of Balacarcel's bond.
“The Fourth is over, so he won’t be thinking about doing it again until the next major American holiday with parades — Thanksgiving, probably.”
At a Wednesday afternoon press conference, Richmond police chief Gerald Smith credited a "hero" citizen who called police after overhearing a conversation about a planned mass murder at the city's July 4th celebration at Dogwood Dell, a 2,400-seat amphitheater in the city's Byrd Park.
"There's no telling how many lives this citizen saved with one phone call," Smith said. The tip came in on July 1. That same day, police proceeded to a residence on the 1000 block of Columbia Avenue.
Smith said Alvarado-Dubon consented to police entering without a warrant. "Once inside that residence, they saw evidence in plain view that corroborated the witness's statement," said Smith, who later specified that the evidence was "firearms in plain view."
Under advice from the Department of Homeland Security, police arrested Alvarado-Dubon for being an alien in possession of a firearm, and seized two assault rifles, one handgun and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
Richmond police then put surveillance on Balacarcel, whom Smith described as Alvardo-Dubon's roommate. On July 5, police concluded they had probable cause to arrest Balacarcel on the same charge, and did so near Charlottesville, Virginia.

[Shafaq News] The deputy head of the United Kingdom's mission in Iran, Giles Whitaker, and a number of other diplomats were detained by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) on claims of spying and taking samples of soil from a "prohibited area" during a missile exercise, Iranian media reported on Wednesday.
Video footage released by the IRGC claimed to show the deputy ambassador near a site where the IRGC was conducting missile exercises at the time. The deputy ambassador has since apologized and been expelled, according to the reports.
One of the suspects detained by the IRGC had entered the country as part of a scientific exchange with a university. The report claimed that one of the suspects was from the Nicolaus Copernicus University, adding that the university is "associated with the Zionist regime." The IRGC claimed that the suspect sampled soil in some areas.
The IRGC claimed that diplomats are often used to look for military sites and identify equipment and munitions. The report also claimed that the diplomats were being used in order to build a new case concerning the "military aspects of Iran's file in the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)."
The claims come as talks between Iran ...The nation is noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence... and the world powers to attempt to return to the JCPOA nuclear deal remain stalled.
The US has complained that Iran has brought new demands unrelated to the JCPOA deal to the table, while Iranian officials have complained that the US is not willing to lift sanctions before a return to the deal.
US special envoy for Iran Robert Malley called recent indirect talks in Doha a "wasted occasion," saying that Iran "needs to provide an answer" on the issue, in an interview with NPR on Tuesday.
Malley stated that Iran is "much closer" to having enough fissile material for a bomb, but had not resumed it weaponization program. The special envoy added that it would take Iran "a matter of weeks" to make a nuclear weapon. "It would be something that we would know, we would see and to which we would react quite forcefully, as you could imagine."
The UK Foreign Ministry denied a claim by Iranian state media on Wednesday that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards detained a British diplomat and other foreign representatives over accusations of spying.
It was not immediately clear if the diplomat and other foreigners were currently or previously detained. Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency reported that the foreigners had been arrested, but did not say when or whether they were currently in jug.
The news outlets said the deputy head of mission at the British Embassy, Giles Whitaker, and other foreigners faced "spying" charges after visiting various forbidden areas in the country while the Guard was carrying out ballistic missile tests. The semi-official Fars news agency, believed to be close to the Guard, claimed that Whitaker was expelled from the country after apologizing.
Britannia’s Foreign Ministry described the reports that a diplomat was expelled as "completely false."

[AlAhram] Two United Nations ...boodling on the grand scale... peacekeepers from Egypt were killed and five others seriously maimed when their vehicle hit a landmine planted by suspected jihadis in northern Mali on Tuesday, the U.N. said.
The deadly attack comes just days after the renewal of the mandate of the U.N. Mission to Mali, known as MINUSMA.
"This morning, an armored vehicle of a MINUSMA logistics convoy hit a mine on the Tessalit-Gao road,'' the mission announced in a blurb.
"According to an initial report, two peacekeepers shuffled off the mortal coil and five others were seriously maimed as a result of the attack,'' the statement added.
"The victims are all Egyptian nationals,'' a U.N. official told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named, insisting on anonymity because he is not allowed to speak to the press until the U.N. informs the families.
Ten U.N. peacekeepers have been killed in Mali since the beginning of the year.
First deployed in 2013, the mandate of the U.N. mission in Mali to help battle against Islamic hard boy rebels was renewed last week although the Malian government said it will not support the mission's aim to promote and safeguard human rights One man's rights are another man's existential threat. Russia and China abstained from the French-drafted U.N. resolution, which extends the mandate of the mission until June 30, 2023, with its current ceiling of 13,289 military personnel and 1,920 international police.
More than 270 peacekeepers have died in Mali, making it the U.N.'s deadliest peacekeeping mission, according to U.N. officials.

Ain't no tellin' where the money went: Boycott's only as good as the money comin' in... By Zoe Papadakis
[NewsMax] Singers David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash returned to Spotify months after pulling their music from the streaming platform in protest over comments by podcaster Joe Rogan.
The folk-rock band's music returned to Spotify on Saturday, according to Billboard which cited a source as saying that the group will donate proceeds to COVID-19 charities for at least a month.
Earlier this year the group denounced Rogan after he came under fire for controversial comments he and some guests on his podcasts made about COVID-19. Neil Young pulled his music from Spotify in an attempt to pressure Spotify from de-platforming Rogan, and several musicians followed suit, including Crosby, Stills and Nash. Read the rest at the link

Saw Stephen Stills in concert just before the pandemic hit. I think he was using a teleprompter for the lyrics but he can still play that guitar. It's just amazing that a man can have all that talent and so little common sense. Maybe he was just out voted by his band mates. From what I've heard they never even speak to each other anymore.

[Khaama] Where else would I look for the Philosopher of the World™
But wait — there’s more!
According to the Taliban security officials, unidentified assailants killed Ibn-e-Sina private institute Director, the self-proclaimed “philosopher of the world”, Dr. Anwar-ul-Haq Jabbarkhail in Kabul’s Bagrami district.
The Taliban’s spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Abdul Nafi Takor, Dr. Jabbarkhail’s body was found in Kabul’s Bagrami district and brought to forensics for further investigation.
According to him, Dr. Jabbarkhail’s body was handed over to his family later on Tuesday, July 5.
According to Khalid Zadran, Taliban spokesman for the Kabul police chief, Dr. Jabbarkhail was mysteriously killed two days ago in Sayed Jamaluddin town, located in the Bagrami district of Kabul province.
While some public sources claim that Anwar-ul-Haq Jabbarkhail was shot to death by unidentified assailants, others claim that his beheaded body was discovered.
Why not both? That would be loads more mysterious than just one or the other.
Anwar-ul-Haq Jabbarkhail allegedly served as the director of a private hospital in Kabul, and recently, his contentious remarks have attracted a lot of attention on social media.
He had long referred to himself as the “philosopher of the world,” and some social media users have always criticized him for his multiple marriages and ridiculed his discussions of polygamy.

Of course, JJ. Why would I want Sørōs' phlegm spattered flunkeys dominating the Caucasus? Or crazed suicidal Europeans pushing some dead bohemian bastard's NWO bullshit this side of the world? Americans may not understand before it's too late, their polity has been a captive state to morons from both right and left for too long, but we in the east know. Russia was never their enemy as long as they push hegemonic agendas. Trump was the only one who understood and tried putting a stop to all that. BZZZt! Big mistake. Ousted.
The future does not contain psephocracies like the west is fond of. There are only authoritarian, militarized States run by committees or single leaders for life. They shall contend with the dominions of the globalists and hold out for quite long. Suffice to say, all of us shall probably be dead by the time the last pillars of sovereignty and the concept of 'nation states' itself fall, giving way to absolute tyranny. Putin is just one of the tough bastards standing in the way of the lickspittle 'liberal world order' that awaits the world.

She motivated her decision by the presence of the defendant's many years of experience in law enforcement - he is familiar with the methods of investigation and at large he can try to oppose him, hide and agree on a position with accomplices.
The judge also pointed to the confirmation of involvement in the crime - the testimony of witnesses and evidence.
The defense, in response, announced the expiration of the statute of limitations and the positive characteristics of the accused.

[Garowe] A man who was convicted by Italian authorities for allegedly killing two Italian journalists only to be released later has died in Mogadishu, the Somalia capital, following a kaboom believed to have been triggered by an Improvised Explosive Device [IED].
Hashi Omar Hassan died on Wednesday in Dharkaynley district, southern Mogadishu after unknown individuals attached the IED to his vehicle, abruptly ejecting him from the gene pool. No group is yet to take responsibility but al-Shabaab ...... Somalia's version of the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... , functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda... hard boyz are known to activate such attacks.
He was released from an Italian prison 18 years after his conviction following the 1994 death of two renowned journalists. The court had sentenced him after finding "sufficient evidence" on his hand in the death of Ilaria Alpi and Miran Hrovatin.
Throughout his time in prison, he insisted on his innocence, leading to his surprise release by Italian authorities. His trial was one of the most followed court episodes internationally, with Hashi often accusing prosecutors of bias in their unprecedented findings.
Before his release from prison, prosecutor Dario Razzi told the court Hassan "did not commit" the crime he served 16 years in jail for. He was the only person convicted of the murders. "If it is true that Hassan was convicted, we must also have the courage to admit that he may be innocent," Razzi said.
The al-Shabaab hard boyz in Somalia usually target security forces, government officials, and innocent civilians. In most cases, they kill those who don't support their ideologies or those believed to be spies of the military forces within the Horn of Africa nation.
Although the group is yet to take responsibility, such murders are associated with it for the last 15 years. The former prisoner has reportedly been living a quiet life in the capital Mogadishu until he met his unprecedented death on Wednesday.
Currently, the government has heightened the war against al-Shabaab with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud saying he's keen to ensure the hard boyz are defeated. On Tuesday, he hinted at future negotiations between the government and the krazed killers.
[Rudaw] The northeast Syria (Rojava) administration on Wednesday announced a state of emergency in light of the continued Ottoman Turkish attacks that have targeted area, signaling to the Kurdish administration’s institutions to prepare the emergency plans to address the situation.
The administration’s general council held a meeting on Wednesday to address the "continuous threats" of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... in the area, which have targeted civilians and civil service facilities, according to a statement from the council.
The meeting was concluded with announcing a state of emergency in the areas under the administration, urging the administration’s councils, bodies, committees, and institutions to make the necessary preparations appropriate for the current circumstances, and dedicating all capabilities "in service of the people from any hostile attacks."
Ankara often targets areas in northern Syria and Rojava.
Ottoman Turkish artillery shells targeted northern Syria’s Ain Issa district on Monday killing at least two and injuring two others.
Ankara launched its last military incursion in northern Syria in October 2019, which was followed by a deal between Turkey and Russia to drive Kurdish fighters 30 kilometers away from the Ottoman Turkish-Syrian border.
However, denial ain't just a river in Egypt... Turkey has recently renewed threats to carry out a new military operation against the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northern Syria’s Manbij and Tal Rifaat towns in a bid to complete the 30 kilometer "safe zone" it began creating along its southern borders.
The administration’s statement accused Turkey of attempting to carry out demographic change in Rojava and creating a state of chaos and instability that would pave the way for "direct occupation of Syrian lands."
Ahmet Davutoglu, former Ottoman Turkish prime minister and leader of the Future Party in June responded to the claims that Turkey has attempted to carry out demographic change in Syria, stating that such an occurrence was not in the best interest of Turkey, as most of those who were displaced in Syria are now refugees in Turkey.

[AlAhram] Lebanon Hezbollahstan ...The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady days of human sacrifice to Baal Moloch... hopes to start repatriating Syrian refugees within months over objections by the United Nations ...where theory meets practice and practice loses... and rights groups, a minister said in an interview Wednesday.
Lebanon has one of the world's highest numbers of refugees per capita and currently hosts over 1 million Syrians who fled the decade-old conflict. Officials say the influx has cost Lebanon billions of dollars and further damaged its crippled infrastructure.
``We are serious about implementing this plan and we hope to do so within months,'' Issam Charafeddine, Lebanon's caretaker Minister of the Displaced, told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named. ``This is a humane, honorable, patriotic and economic plan that is necessary for Lebanon.''
The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees and rights groups oppose involuntary repatriation to Syria and say the practice risks endangering the returning refugees.
The U.N. refugee agency in a press statement denied that it is engaged in negotiations with Beirut and Damascus on refugee returns.
``UNHCR continues to call on the government of Lebanon to respect the fundamental right of all refugees to a voluntary, safe and dignified return,'' the statement read.
The United Nations estimates that 90% of Syrian refugee households live in extreme poverty. But since late 2019, poverty has worsened for both Lebanese and Syrians as the Mediterranean country continues to struggle with crippling economic crisis. Sky-rocketing fuel prices coupled with a currency collapse has meant many essential commodities are now out of reach.
In recent months, a surge of Lebanese, Syrians, and Paleostinians have tried to flee cash-strapped Lebanon by sea to Europe.
The Lebanese minister on Monday presented the plan to President Michel Aoun ...president of Leb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah... . A committee consisting of caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Charafeddine, six other ministers and the country's General Security organization had been working on the proposal since March to gradually return some 1.5 million Syrian refugees from Lebanon.
Charafeddine plans to visit Syria next week to meet Local Administration and Environment Minister Hussein Makhlouf. He hopes they will agree on a concrete timeline for the plan to repatriate 15,000 Syrian refugees every month. The minister says Maklouf had told him that the Syrian government could provide temporary shelter for repatriated refugees in areas that are ``entirely safe.''
``We have statistics from the Interior Ministry of the names of the displaced, where they live, and where they're originally from, and so we would return them by neighborhood,'' the minister said. He said Lebanon is willing to repatriate refugees in larger numbers if the Syrian government is able to receive them ``at a later stage''.
Human rights organizations in recent reports have documented cases of arbitrary detention, enforced disappearances, and a host of human rights ...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless... violations against returning refugees.
Charafeddine rejected these reports as a ``fear campaign'' and said the Syrian government has agreed to drop charges against former opposition fighters and political opposition.
``I was surprised that the Syrian state has eased matters a lot for returns even when it comes to security matters - even those who held weapons will get waivers,'' Charafeddine told the AP.
The caretaker minister also criticized the UNHCR and donor countries for not being willing to redirect refugee aid to Syria, which he says deters refugees from returning.
``Whatever the UNHCR's position is, we will go ahead with the plan,'' he said.

The situation in Sloviansk is tense, the city is being shelled with anti-aircraft guns, the mayor said
Due to constant shelling, the number of people willing to evacuate has increased. 23,000 people remain in the city. The authorities ensure safe and free evacuation.
This was announced at the briefing by the mayor of Sloviansk, Vadym Lyakh.
"The situation in the city (Slovyansk - ed.) is tense. The city has been bombarded with MLRS for the past two weeks, these are cluster charges. There are many wounded and dead. A total of 17 residents of the community have died since the beginning of hostilities in the city. 67 were injured," he said.
According to the mayor, critical infrastructure continues to work, but centralized water supply has been missing for over a month.
"We deliver water. Wells are working. There are also problems with electricity. Periodically, about a third of the population remains without electricity. We are restoring it. But the enemy is constantly destroying it."
The evacuation of the civilian population also continues.
"We are evacuating people... There are still approximately 23,000 residents of the city. The number of people willing to leave has increased. Unfortunately, the latest "arrivals" were the impetus... But there is an opportunity to safely leave in the direction of the Dnipro. We work on evacuation to Lviv, Dnipro or Rivne. All this is done free of charge and with the accommodation of people," added Vadym Lyakh.
At the same time, all ATMs are working, so payment obligations are fulfilled.
"People can receive all pensions and social benefits."
We will remind, yesterday around 15:00 the occupying forces of the Russian army covered the city of Slovyansk with artillery fire . As a result of the shelling, one civilian died on the spot, and seven others were injured.
[Rudaw] The United States on Wednesday imposed a fresh wave of sanctions on Iran’s petroleum trade amid continuing efforts to revive the 2015 nuclear deal and ahead of Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. An incredibly corrupt version of Jar-Jar Binks, only well into his dotage. The dumbass who abandoned Afghanistan.... ’s trip to the Middle East.
The US State Department said it was designating dozens of global entities and individuals linked to Iran's illegal petroleum trade which are funding Tehran with vast amounts of funds. The 15 sanctioned individuals and entities have "engaged in the illicit sales and shipment of Iranian petroleum," and are located in Iran, Vietnam, Singapore, the UAE, and Hong Kong, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced, adding that they "have supported Iranian energy trade generating millions of dollars' worth of illicit revenue."
The sanctions come a week after Tehran and Washington held a round of indirect and EU-mediated talks in Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... in attempts to restore the nuclear deal that yielded no result. The US said the negotiations made "no progress."
In the statement, Blinken also highlighted the talks, blaming Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites.... for deterring the pathway of achieving a mutual return to the full implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
"It is Iran that has, to-date, failed to demonstrate a similar commitment to that path. Absent a change in course from Iran, we will continue to use our sanctions authorities to target exports of petroleum, petroleum products, and petrochemical products from Iran," he added.
Iran and world powers, including the US, have held talks for over a year aimed at reviving the 2015 nuclear deal, also known as the JCPOA. The Islamic republic has demanded that the US must lift its crippling sanctions, including on the IRGC, which Washington has placed on a terror blacklist.
Occurrences of the US imposing sanctions on networks backed by Iran are common.
Washington in May designated an oil smuggling and money laundering network backed by an elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) branch and the Russian government.

[Daily Wire] Millions of barrels of oil President Joe Biden released from the United States’ Strategic Petroleum Reserve found their way to European and Asian nations, including China, according to a Tuesday report from Reuters.
Biden has frequently touted the release of one million barrels of oil per day as an "unprecedented" move to "provide a historic amount of supply" as Americans face surging prices at the pumps. Indeed, the national average price of gas in the United States is currently $4.80 per gallon, according to AAA, with the national average temporarily surpassing $5.00 per gallon last month.
However, Reuters found through customs data that at least five million barrels of oil were exported to Europe and Asia last month as the strategic reserve drains to its lowest level since 1986. American oil refiner Phillips 66, for instance, shipped 470,000 barrels of sour crude from Texas to Trieste, Italy, while Atlantic Trading & Marketing (ATMI) — a division of French entity TotalEnergies — exported two cargoes of 560,000 barrels each.
Meanwhile, industry sources told the outlet that more crude oil was sent to China, India, and the Netherlands.
When asked about the report, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that she was not aware of the matter and needed to "look into it."
Fuel costs across the world have risen since the Russian invasion of Ukraine — yet the Biden administration has pursued policies such as nixing expansions to the Keystone XL Pipeline last year and delaying new drilling permits. Beyond releasing fuel reserves, Biden has also resorted to pleading with oil companies to cut into their own profits.
"There is no question that Vladimir Putin is principally responsible for the intense financial pain the American people and their families are bearing," Biden wrote in a recent letter to seven oil and gas companies. "But amid a war that has raised gasoline prices more than $1.70 per gallon, historically high refinery profit margins are worsening that pain."
Biden has likewise set his sights on gas stations — which run on margins as low as 1.4%, according to industry research company IBISWorld.
"My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril," Biden said on social media. "Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product. And do it now."
The U.S. Oil and Gas Association — a petroleum industry advocacy group — responded to Biden by affirming that they are "working on it." The organization wished Biden a happy Fourth of July and asked him to "please make sure" the White House intern who posted the tweet "registers for Econ 101 for the fall semester."

Blame everyone but the US government. The real villains of this story.
They hate our guts. They want gas up to $10 a gallon to hurt us. They want all of our cars off the road. They all drive Tesla electric vehicles anyway, so what the fuck do they care? It doesn't affect them at all.

My concern is no mention of refilling reserve or military gifts being sold on the dark web by Ukraine. Everything the liberal touches turns to you know what.

'Found it's way', what a delightful turn of phrase. For some reason it brings back an adversarial conversation years ago in rural Oklahoma, around 2 AM.
Yessir, that unmarked 80 bbl bobtail just 'found it's way on to one of our leases, just didn't expect anybody else out there.
Sri Lanka, Holland, Pakistan and transparent theft here before our very eyes. There will be a breaking point, and there will be a reckoning.

Why learn how gasoline gets into the tank when you can remain fundamentally ignorant and blame profiteers and saboteurs. Even get to chant a Mantra, "We know that Putin is to blame for the high prices."
"please make sure" the White House intern who posted the tweet "registers for Econ 101 for the fall semester."

NN2, I don't follow your post. There sure are a lot of empty oil company lots here in Oklahoma.
Chesapeake is gone, Four Point gone, GEO 720 gone, R.K. Pinson sucking, where is E.O.G., Black rock gone, Apache gone. Not to mention Oneok,DCP Mainstream. The oil patch is not making money. Now if you mean the big boys you might be right.

On paper it looks like the oil patch makes tons of money, but that's not exactly true. Rigs cost between $100-$200k a day now onshore. Offshore it's typically a 1 million dollar minimum. I've been offshore, sitting in my metal box waiting for an entire 3 week hitch for the currents to change, went home, came back 3 weeks later and we were still waiting. At 1 million per day. Paying for that is where all this 'profit' goes. Paying for seismic surveys, etc. Drilling isn't cheap and right now, we can barely keep our rigs operating due to lack of spare parts.
[DW] Gunmen ambushed Kuje prison near Nigeria's capital city of Abuja, freeing around 600 of the nearly 900 inmates late Tuesday. Bandits attacked the maximum-security prison with guns and high-grade explosives. One security officer was killed during the raid and three others were maimed.
Half of the escaped prisoners are now back in police custody, according to officials.
"They have reported themselves to the police, some we have successfully retrieved from the bushes where they were hiding, and (as of) now we have retrieved about 300 out of about 600 that got out of the jail cells," said Shuaib Belgore, who serves as the permanent secretary at Nigeria's Interior Ministry.
Belgore pointed to Boko Haram ...the name means Western education is forbidden, They're what you get as the result of a traditional African or Islamic education... as collaborators in the attack and said that the button men came "specifically for their co-conspirators."
"Some of them are in the general (prison) population so they broke out and other people in that population escaped as well but many of them have returned," Belgore said. Kuje prison housed 64 suspected members of the Boko Haram krazed killer group — all of whom are still on the run.
While the Kuje prison raid was the first to occur in the capital, rebels have conducted several similar jailbreaks in northeastern Nigeria.
REBELS ATTACK PRESIDENTIAL CONVOY
The attack occurred around the same time as an ambush carried out by rebels on a presidential convoy. The motorcade was en route to the hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari in northern Nigeria. Buhari was not present at the time.
"Attackers opened fire on the convoy from ambush positions but were repelled by the military, police and security personnel accompanying the convoy," a presidential front man said in a statement.
The two incidents underscore growing security concerns in Nigeria. Extremist violence is a primary security challenge for Africa's most populous country. Violence carried out by Boko Haram and an off-shoot group calling itself "Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... Central African Province" has caused more than 35,000 deaths and displaced over 2 million people in Nigeria, according to the UN.
[Garowe] Somalia is the main example that shows the importance The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... attaches to the economic development, social peace, and stability of the African continent, President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important... said Wednesday.

Commentary by the Russian blogger
[DonRF] If anything, this is Petersburg, the Smolensk cemetery. These are flowers and a stone near the temple at the site of the first burial of Taras Shevchenko. Not desecrated, not de-Ukrainian and well-groomed empty grave. Taras Shevchenko is a Ukrainian writer of some note.
And this is Donetsk:
Over the past day, Ukrainian bastards fired more than 500 shells on the territory of the DPR. The following artillery systems were used: MLRS "Hurricane" and "Grad", howitzers with a caliber of 155mm, 152mm and 122mm, as well as 120mm mortars. As a result of shelling, 20 civilians were injured, four civilians were killed, among whom was a child.
Yesterday. Today, the shelling resumed in the morning, under the howl of their propagandists "the orcs themselves are damming bambas and burning cotton wool" (quotes). They are having fun. Then the truth, when it arrives again, they will yell "and we are for sho."
We are not them. We do not erase cities into rubble, turning apartments into firing points, and schools and kindergartens into barracks. We don't shoot for the past. We do not shoot peaceful quarters. And I don't know if that's good. As a person, I just do understand that yes, as a Donetsk resident, I think that if there were more misses, then less would fly across the DPR.
The most terrible thing is that these shellings kill morale. When yours are under threat, you want to take her away. At any price. They shoot at her, simply because:
The representative of the Odessa OVA, Sergei Bratchuk, believes that the vast majority of men will pass through the front, as well as many women.
There is an order to kill most Ukrainians. And more Russians. Tightly. And there is a lack of understanding in Moscow that these agreements are useless. For them, both peoples are firewood. For some, in the breeding of ubermens, for some, in the locomotive of their personal well-being.
No need to mock the past. You don't have to become them. You just need to start fighting, to collect men not for a contract, but for mobilization (partial) and destroy the saloreich. We have to save people. Tens of millions of psychopaths hostage soared to the top in 2014. Otherwise, the Russians will also become hostages. Already in the Borderlands.
The more we give in, the more they will kill. Psychos cannot be stopped by bargaining.
[Townhall] When President Joe Biden heads to Ohio today for another stop in which he hopes to brag about his administration's accomplishments — presumably not 40-year high inflation, an energy crisis, or failed foreign policy — he won't be getting a warm welcome from two nominated Democrats seeking statewide office in the Buckeye State as his party's candidates try to distance themselves from the unpopular president.
U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Ohio's 13th Congressional District — the Democrat running for U.S. Senate against Republican nominee J.D. Vance — won't be appearing with Biden on Wednesday. Nor will Nan Whaley, the Democrat candidate for Ohio governor challenging incumbent GOP Governor Mike DeWine.
Conveniently, both claimed they had "unavoidable scheduling conflicts," according to The Hill. Right. Surely it has nothing to do with Biden's sinking popularity or the fact that Cook ranked the senate race as "lean Republican" and the gubernatorial race as "likely Republican."
If the highest-ranking member of your party is coming to the state you're running in, there's no reason not to clear the schedules and make an appearance happen in front of Democrat supporters, get some photos, and land some press with quotes from the "leader of the free world" saying how great you are. But this is Biden, and the normal conventions around campaigning don't apply when his approval ratings are lower than Trump's were.
According to a presidential poll tracker from Civiqs, Biden has just 26 percent approval in Ohio, even less than his 30 percent national approval mark from the same tracker. There are some Democrats in Ohio who will be appearing with Biden — but they have less to worry about from being tied to Biden's sinking popularity. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown, who doesn't have to face voters again until 2024, will join Biden. As will Rep. Shontel Brown, who is on the ballot this November in a D+30 district. Cleveland's Democrat Mayor Justin Bibb is not up for reelection until 2025 and will also be appearing with President Biden on Wednesday.

[REGNUM] INTRODUCTION
Russia is conducting a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine. Its goal is to protect the Russian minority living in this country from persecution, discrimination, destruction, as well as to ensure the security of the core of the Russian nation in Russia from aggression from the collective West.
After the end of the NMD, the Russian leadership will be forced to reconsider its attitude towards all Russians scattered in the post-Soviet space in order to also protect them. However, the solution of this important managerial task encounters a weak theoretical study of the problem. Russian social scientists give a more or less detailed description of the situation of Russians in the former Soviet republics, but say nothing about the reasons for their persecution, discrimination, extermination, and are not ready to formulate proposals for the eradication of these misanthropic practices.
Partly the cause of theoretical helplessness is the dogmatic approach to the development of the Marxist-Leninist theoretical heritage, partly the timidity in rethinking the theoretical developments of Anglo-Saxon researchers. It does not help the solution of the problem, and the fact that Russian social science is financed at its key points by Western funds, which impose restrictions on the development of research needed by the country's leadership.
It seems to us that the concepts developed by the Anglo-Saxons to solve their own managerial problems can be successfully used to solve the important managerial problem that has arisen. First of all, it is the concept of genocide and ethnocide. This concept was developed in the USA by the Jewish scholar Raphael Lemkin as a response to the persecution, discrimination, and then mass extermination of European Jews in the first half of the last century. It formed the basis of many decisions taken by the US leadership regarding Nazi Germany, its allies and satellites.
For the last fifty years, the development of the concept of genocide and ethnocide in the West has been occupied by hundreds of research centers, in which many thousands of scientists work. They provide their customers with recommendations that are of great practical importance. The acquired knowledge is used, among other things, to manage ethnic conflicts in the post-Soviet space, to disorient the ruling Russian elites.
Let us apply the concept developed by Lemkin to analyze the position of Russians in Eastern Europe at the present time and compare the results obtained with the position of the Jewish diaspora in Western Europe before and during World War II. The basis for this kind of comparison is that both ethnic groups we have chosen are numerous, highly developed socially, dispersed in many countries and deprived of protection from their state. The Jewish diaspora in the first half of the last century did not have its own state at all, Russians living abroad for three decades after the collapse of the USSR did not receive real protection from their "mother" state - Russia. In view of the multidimensionality and volume of the topic, we will focus only on the ethnocide of these two minorities.
ETHNIC GROUPS AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH EACH OTHER
The total society consists of separate ethnic groups - groups of individuals interconnected by common spiritual values and common social practices arising from them. The reproduction of such developed forms of an ethnos as a people and a nation presupposes the use of social institutions. These are churches, schools, universities, libraries, theaters, media.
The main burden in the process of the formation of developed ethnic groups falls on people who act within the framework of social institutions, manage through them the bulk of people - social elites.
Ethnic groups also create institutions of force protection from destructive internal and external influences. For peoples and nations, this is a system of power institutions - the state. The state is run by political elites.
For the production and distribution of material goods, ethnic groups create economic institutions. For peoples and nations, these are manufactories, factories, trading establishments, banks, stock exchanges. They are controlled by economic elites.
Elites, thus, dispose of the main part of the members of the ethnos - the masses. The masses are predominantly engaged in the production and circulation of material goods.
Ethnic groups compete with each other for the possession of the material resources necessary for their existence. With equal strengths of ethnic groups, competition between them is in the nature of an exchange of goods, spiritual values and social practices. The elites who implement this kind of policy can be conditionally defined as "white".
Ethnic groups that gain sufficient strength often attack weaker neighbors in order to profit from their material wealth, to appropriate other people's territories. Between the conflicting parties there are armed clashes - wars.
Winners in wars initially destroyed their ethnic competitors. The policy of physical destruction of a competing ethnic group is called genocide. The elites who pursue this kind of policy can be conditionally designated as "black".
When a certain level of development of productive forces is reached, it becomes profitable not to destroy an ethnic competitor, but to enslave or enslave its members so that they create a surplus product for the conqueror on a permanent basis. Between these two ethnic groups for a long time relations "domination - submission" are established. The elites who pursue this policy can be conditionally defined as "brown".
The ruling "brown" elites seek to consolidate their privileged position in society and therefore pursue a policy of suppression and discrimination of the conquered ethnic group. This policy is called ethnocide. The meaning of ethnocide lies in the destruction of the collective identity of the enslaved ethnic group and depriving it of the ability to organize resistance through this. The result of the policy of ethnocide is the relegation of the enslaved ethnos to the lower rungs of the social ladder or its complete dissolution in the environment of the dominant ethnos. In the first case, the strategy of the separate existence of ethnic groups is carried out - segregation, in the second case - the assimilation of the subordinate ethnic group by the dominant ethnic group. Complete assimilation allows you to increase the number and, accordingly, the strength of the dominant ethnic group,
The ethnos-"lord" is often referred to as the titular ethnos, since it gives the name-title to its state. The enslaved ethnos is often referred to as a minority, although this is not entirely accurate, since the dominant ethnos may be small in number, while the subordinate ethnos may be numerous. For example, the Manchus ruling in the Celestial Empire at the beginning of the 20th century were barely 4 million people, while the Hans controlled by them numbered about 400 million people.
Further in the article, we will use the term "ethnic minority" to refer to an ethnic group that lives in a "foreign" state and is subjected to persecution and discrimination by the titular dominant ethnic group.
Ethnic groups living outside their state or not having a state at all are often referred to as diasporas or, in Russian, scattering. Diasporas become the first victims of aggressor ethnic groups. In the context of the presented material, the term "diaspora" is used by us as a synonym for the term "ethnic minority".

Winners.
Suck on it, bitches. No one gives a fuck about Ukraine. Because no one loves a loser, and NATO LOST. The client state is in ruins. It has no GDP. It's lost over 22% of its territory. Its citizens are being annihilated.
It's over, folks. A total unmitigated disaster of the West's own making -- and now every western government has fucked up so completely that they're all fighting for their lives.
The doughty little comedian, the puppet in his khaki T-Shirt, is now demanding that the US and EU pay him $5 billion EVERY MONTH to prop up his government.
$60 billion a year. For the most corrupt government in Europe. The shit-stirrers and kleptocrats who stoked this whole disaster.
That is an unbelievable sum. Even when Ukraine was at peace this amount would have been 1/3 of Ukraine's entire economy. So now Ukraine's government equals 2/3ds of the entire economy? Really?
How much of this $60 billion annual extortion fee will actually end up being funneled through PrivatBank and eventually land in T-short Guy's offshore accounts?

If you are reading or watching Hollyweird the 'Russian Mafia'' are certainly a safe target to make a villain... Most other minorities have defenders that will leap out of the woodwork scream *RAYCISS* or the like.
Easier than enforcing the laws as promised to the citizenry, I s’pose.
[DW] Chancellor Olaf Scholz's government has begun to overhaul Germany's immigration system to allow more migrants colonists to stay in the country. Refugee rights organizations say the measures don't go far enough.
The German government is hoping to give over 130,000 migrants colonists trapped in legal limbo the chance to stay permanently, as part of an overhaul of Germany's immigration system.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz's government on Wednesday agreed on a package of reforms that will open the prospect of residency rights to people who have lived in Germany for more than five years with a so-called "Duldung," or tolerance status.

[Korrespondent] 23:25 Zelensky said that for the first time in the history of Ukrainian-Paraguayan relations he had a conversation with the President of Paraguay. I also spoke today with the President of Mozambique - I congratulated him on the election of his state to the UN Security Council. "I believe that Africa should receive greater representation on international platforms and in solving global issues. It is African countries that are most threatened by the food crisis provoked by Russia, and we must do everything to force the terrorist state to unblock Ukrainian agricultural exports," Zelensky stressed.
23:21 Zelensky commented on the supply of Western weapons: “Finally, it is felt that Western artillery, the weapon that we received from our partners, has started to work very powerfully. Its accuracy is really as it should be. "are important for the logistics of the occupiers. And this significantly reduces the offensive potential of the Russian army. The losses of the occupiers will only grow every week, as will the complexity of their supplies."
22:48 British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has come close to resigning, but until the last he refuses to leave. Read more about what is happening - in the material of the Friend of Ukraine, will they be fired?
22:42 The UOC and the OCU signed a Declaration of Understanding and condemned the position of the Moscow Patriarchate, which has become a "servant" of the Putin regime and blesses Russian soldiers for bloodshed.
22:24 Zelensky, in an evening video message, said that Ukrainian forces are advancing in several tactical directions, including in the south, and asked to communicate with people in the occupied territories: "In the south of our country, in the occupied areas, Russian forces have blocked any opportunity for people to know the truth about what is happening. They block access to social networks, instant messengers and YouTube. People should know about it. Therefore, if you have the opportunity to talk with people in the south - with Kherson, Genichesk, Berdyansk, Melitopol and other cities and villages, spread "please tell the truth there. Use every opportunity to tell the people in the occupied areas that we remember them and we are fighting for them."
22:01 The Lugansk region is not 100% occupied, said the head of the OVA Serhiy Gaidai. According to him, in four and a half months, the Russians traveled only 30 km. Fighting continues in the vicinity of the region, the Russians continue to suffer losses. Gaidai also noted that in the occupied territories in the rear, "pops" continue to occur - Russians have fewer ammunition depots every day. Gaidai predicts that the Russian army will develop an offensive against Bakhmut and Slavyansk.
21:39 Scholz announced new military supplies to Ukraine on the principle of "circular exchange". Speaking in the Bundestag, the chancellor said that these deliveries would take place in the near future according to the following principle: the countries of Eastern Europe would give Kyiv their remaining Soviet weapons, and in return they would receive modern ones from the FRG.
21:36 The Bayraktar drone, which was raised in Lithuania, has already been sent to Ukraine.
21:19 Tonight, the Russians fired at the Sinelnikovsky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region from the MLRS, hit the Pokrovskaya community. Three people were injured, one of them in serious condition. A fire started at one of the enterprises, said the head of the OVA Valentin Reznichenko. Also, from the very morning, the enemy has been shelling the Krivoy Rog region - Shirokovskaya, Apostolovsky, Nivotrudovskaya and Zelenodolsk communities.
20:45 Another bridge between the occupied Melitopol and Tokmak is "tired", said the head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA Oleksandr Starukh.
20:27 During the conference in Lugano, agreements were reached on the allocation of almost $1.9 billion for the restoration of Ukraine, Shmyhal said. In particular, 600 million will go to financial support; more than $500 million - for the development of the agricultural sector, storage, improved logistics, liquidity for enterprises; $500 million - to prepare for the heating season; almost $250 million - for the development of digital transformation projects.
19:59 Russian troops are planning a large-scale offensive from Izyum to Slavyansk and are now concentrating forces in this direction, Konstantin Mashovets , a military expert and coordinator of the Information Resistance group, said. According to him, the Russians south of Izyum are now regrouping, there are massive artillery strikes on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Also, the Russian Federation has a small tactical success in the Mazanovka area.
19:47 The timing of the end of the war depends on sanctions against Russia and the supply of weapons to Ukraine, Zelensky said, answering the question of how long the war will continue. According to him, it depends on when Russia realizes what it has done and starts to leave the territory of Ukraine: “I don’t really believe that they can understand this on their own. Therefore, the second thing is how the whole world puts pressure on Russia and ousts them from our We are on the battlefield with weapons, and the whole world is sanctions, politically, with help and quick deliveries of weapons to us." The President added that the timing of the end of the war also depends on the citizens of Ukraine - their support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the domestic economy.
19:41 Ukraine no longer expects planes from the West, but expects to receive air defense systems, Zelensky said at a joint briefing with Irish Prime Minister Michol Martin: "Maybe I'm very persistent, but still, the safety of the sky is a priority. And no one expects that or other aviation, but we all count and have confirmation, so far theoretically, but we count on the arrival of powerful air defense systems in Ukraine."
19:29 The Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully repelled enemy attacks in several directions, the General Staff announced in the evening summary . Thus, the invaders were rebuffed in the direction of Dolgenka - Mazanovka and retreated with losses. In addition, the defenders of Ukraine successfully repulsed the enemy assault in the direction of Cossack Lopan - Sosnovka. Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped the enemy’s offensive in the directions of Mironovka-Lugansk and Golmovsky-Novoluhansk: the invaders had to withdraw.
19:26 Head of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin reminded the United States that Alaska was Russian and the Russian Federation can begin to "return" it.
19:17 The General Staff reported that ValriZaluzhnyi's Twitter account is fake. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny is not on this social network.
18:40 Due to a full-scale attack by Russia, Ukraine is facing incredible economic challenges. One of the ways to overcome them was the additional issue of the hryvnia, that is, in other words, its printing. But this cannot go on for long. For more details, see What's Happening in the Economy .
18:38 The United States and allies are discussing setting a ceiling price for Russian oil at $40-60, Bloomberg reports. The US Secretary of the Treasury, Janet Yellen, came up with the idea of introducing a ceiling price. The concept is to tie the provision of important services related to the transportation of Russian oil to a predetermined price ceiling.
18:35 China and India have bought $24 billion worth of energy resources from Russia since the start of a full-scale war in Ukraine, writes Bloomberg. So, according to customs data, in the three months before the end of May, China spent $18.9 billion on Russian oil, gas and coal. This is almost twice as much as a year earlier. India paid $5.1 billion in the same period, more than five times last year's amount. Thus, the Russian Federation received an additional $13 billion in revenue from both countries compared to the same period in 2021. Analysts note that China is already buying almost everything that Russia can export through pipelines and Pacific ports.
18:17 The Russians attacked the Odessa region from a Su-35 aircraft with an X-31 missile, they managed to shoot it down over the sea, said OVA speaker Sergei Bratchuk.
17:37 The Russian army turns the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant into a military base, writes The Wall Street Journal. At the nuclear power plant, more than 500 Russian soldiers deployed heavy artillery batteries and laid anti-personnel mines along the banks of the reservoir.
17:19 As a result of the Russian missile attack on Kharkiv on June 30, the 39-year-old Brazilian actress and supermodel Talita Do Valle, who worked as a volunteer in the structures providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine, died. At the time of the impact, she was hiding in a shelter along with another Brazilian volunteer, former soldier Douglas Burigo, writes with the BBC. As a result of the impact, a fire started in the bunker, the woman suffocated from the smoke. Burigo also died: he returned to the hideout to find Talita and try to save her. Also, according to the Brazilian media, in early June, the Brazilian volunteer Andre Hac Bahi died.
17:14 Ukraine doubts that an agreement on unblocking grain exports will be reached in the near future, Kuleba said in an interview with Bloomberg: "We are just a few steps away from the agreement, but these steps are the most difficult. I do not want to join the chorus of those who say that the agreement will take place next week." According to the Foreign Minister, the negotiators have not yet reached an agreement on protecting Odessa from Russian attack, as well as foreign patrols guarding non-military cargo. "We need firm guarantees," Kuleba stressed.
16:53 The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a law on providing for the armed forces during "operations" outside the country. Under the new rules, companies in Russia will not have the right to refuse contracts in order to ensure such operations. The Cabinet will also be able to regulate labor relations in individual organizations, including the conditions for granting leave, work after hours, at night or on weekends.
16:51 Zelensky told reporters that there are no misunderstandings between him and the General Staff, and the issue of permits for the movement of conscripts is a "minor mistake" compared to unity against Russia: "Today we had a meeting with the military. [Rudaw] Iran ...The nation is noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence... demands the immediate release of an Iranian national facing charges of crimes against humanity and war crimes in Sweden, the Iranian foreign minister told his Swedish counterpart on Tuesday.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Tuesday spoke to his Swedish counterpart Anne Linde, during which both sides discussed the case of Iranian national Hamid Noury, Iranian state media reported.
The Iranian foreign minister "demanded the immediate release of Hamid Noury, an Iranian citizen, who is in jug on completely baseless charges of the hypocrite terrorist group."
Iranian national Noury, 60, is on trial for "committing grave war crimes and murder in Iran during 1988," Swedish prosecutors announced on July 27.
Noury had served as assistant to the deputy governor of Gohardasht prison in Karaj, near the Iranian capital of Tehran, when an estimated 5,000 prisoners were killed across the country, following an order from then Lord High Potentate and Supreme Leader of All He Surveys of Iran Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
On July 26, 1988 thousands of fighters with the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK), an Iranian opposition group that sided with Saddam Hussein’s regime in the Iran-Iraq war, crossed the border into Iran with the support of Iraq’s air force for Operation Mersad, the last major offensive of the conflict before a United Nations ...the Oyster Bay money pit... ceasefire came into effect.
The Iranian government put prisons across the country on lockdown, and soon rumors spread around the country of prisoners killed and their bodies dumped into mass graves. Those killed had been locked away Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out! for their opposition to the Iranian regime, including followers of MEK.

The spokesperson for the Iranian judiciary, Zabihollah Khodaian, had confirmed in May that Tehran will go ahead with the execution, ruling out the possibility of a prisoner exchange with Noury.
While Abdollahian met with Noury’s son on Tuesday, he raised concern over the Iranian national’s status in Swedish prison.
"He is not only kept in solitary confinement and does not have access to a doctor, but also to contact or meetings with the family are also severely restricted," Iranian state media reported Abdollahian as discussing.

[AndMagazine] One of the many assurances we are given by our corporate overlords and their minions in the liberal press is that we should be more like Europe. By that they mean we should accept a social welfare nanny state and surrender our rights to our betters in the elite. The Dutch don’t seem to have gotten that memo.
About a week ago the government of the Netherlands announced it was declaring war on the nation’s farmers. In order to reduce what it considers nitrogen pollution the government has adopted a policy of drastically reducing herds, forcing many farmers out of business and cutting back on meat, pork, poultry, and dairy products for human consumption. The government wants to eliminate one-third of Holland’s 50,000 farms by 2030.
Are they mad?? The world is facing famine as it is, between Russia invading the Ukraine and the drought in the Middle East, not to mention reduced production in the rest of the world because of the China-controlled fertilizer shortage, and the Netherlands government wants to shut down farms?
In response, all hell has broken loose.
Dutch farmers have blocked supermarkets, food distribution centers, and roads in protests this week. Supermarket shelves are bare throughout the Netherlands as food distribution has been brought to a standstill. Wednesday morning, farmers are expected to demonstrate at the Groningen Airport Elde, according to Dutch media. The farmers have been joined now by Dutch fishermen who are blockading ports in solidarity.

Funny thing - I have not seen squat on this in almost any MSM. I don't consume that much, but one would think this is newsworthy considering how much the Dutch actually export in terms of agricultural goods.

"How much effluent can you safely dump into the North Sea?" By 'effluent' we mean nitrates, phosphates and the like from fertilizers and animal / human excreta. Before you get Red Tides and the like...
The farmers want to farm and the Greens want all human effects to disappear returning the world to a utopian 'pre-human paradise. The Nomenklatura seem to feel they can always 'just import it' -- exporting the problems and Dutch jobs to the Third World. Sound familiar?

I have meetings most mornings with coworkers over there in the Netherlands and not a single one of them has mentioned anything. I assume a massive divide between the bike riding city-based technocrats and the farmers.
I also wonder with all the bad news that has happened in the last few years if most have just tuned out, deciding to be blissfully unaware rather than go nuts with what is happening.

[AnNahar] Belgium's parliament on Wednesday approved a controversial prisoner-swap treaty with Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites.... in a first reading of a text that still has to be submitted to a full vote to be ratified.
The treaty has been slammed by an Iranian dissident group, the National Council of Resistance® of Iran, as well as some U.S. politicians and Amnesia Amnesty International as paving the way for an Iranian diplomat placed in durance vile You have the right to remain silent... in Belgium on a terrorism conviction to be allowed to return home.
Belgian Justice Minister Vincent Van Quickenborne on Tuesday told MPs that unless the treaty was adopted, "the threat to our Belgian interests and certain Belgian citizens will increase".
He said Iran was already "illegally" holding captive a Belgian aid worker, Olivier Vandecasteele, 41, on trumped-up "espionage" charges.
The full parliamentary vote on the treaty, which was signed in March, is expected to take place on Thursday.
Tehran also holds a Swedish-Iranian academic, Ahmadreza Djalali, who taught at a Brussels university under the same charges, and has sentenced him to death.
The NCRI and Amnesty says they are the latest foreigners seized by Iran as leverage against Western countries.
Tehran is furious that Belgium last year placed in durance vile You have the right to remain silent... one of its diplomats, Assadollah Assadi, 50, after he was found guilty of criminal masterminding a thwarted kaboom on an NCRI event outside Gay Paree in 2018.
Assadi, who was convicted of attempted "terrorist" murder and "participating in the activities of a terrorist group", is serving a 20-year sentence which he declined to appeal.
Attached to Iran's embassy in Austria, he was arrested in Germany where his claim to diplomatic immunity was denied, and extradited to Belgium for his trial.
Belgian authorities had intercepted a car carrying a bomb made from explosives supplied by Assadi as it was on its way to the targeted NCRI event. They were informed by several European intelligence services of the plot.
