COAS Bajwa appeals to US for immediate release of $1.2 loan trance
I'm sure they mean tranche. Or maybe it is trance, a guy would have to be in a trance to give them 1.2 b.
[DailyTimes.pk] As Pakistan faces the risk of debt default due to depleting foreign reserves, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has pleaded with Washington to assist in securing an early disbursement of $1.2 billion in funds under an International Monetary Fund loan programme.
The sources, who asked to remain anonymous because they were not authorized to speak publicly, claimed that Bajwa appealed to the White House and Treasury Department to pressure the IMF to provide Pakistan with the nearly $1.2 billion under a resumed loan programme.

You go to war with the politicians you have. He is very, very good at what he does, and he’ll be reelected as long as he wants to be. So the only possibility is to work with him where possible, as President Trump did on getting federal judges approved, and around him where necessary — as President Trump did with his executive orders.
And get enough Trump Republicans into office that Senator McConnell has to compromise with them to get what he wants.
A group of Leftists activists are calling on Justice Clarence Thomas to resign or be impeached from the Supreme Court.
MoveOn along with Demand Justice, both Leftist activist organizations, started a petition and called on Thomas to either resign or be impeached because after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade they fear that SCOTUS will next overturn “gay rights and contraception rights,” according to MoveOn.
MoveOn also stated on its site that “Thomas voted against a Supreme Court decision to compel the release of Donald Trump’s records regarding the January 6 insurrection and attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election,” because “his wife—longtime conservative activist Ginni Thomas—was actively urging the White House to overturn election results both leading up to January 6 and after the deadly insurrection.”
Democratic Representatives Ilhan Omar and Jamaal Bowman we’re among those who joined the movement.
The petition reached over 1.2 million signatures and was given to Omar and Bowman.
[FoxNews] agreement would extend the ACA through 2025 and allow Medicare to negotiate the prices of prescription drugs. The ACA extension would cost $64 billion, Democrats say, and the prescription drug reform would save the government $288 billion. ...
it includes a 15% corporate minimum tax for businesses worth more than $1 billion, which is estimated to raise $313 billion; stepped-up IRS tax enforcement, estimated to raise $124 billion; and it will close the carried interest loophole, estimated to raise $14 billion...
Another provision of the bill will provide $1.5 billion "for tree planted and related activities, with a priority for projects that benefit underserved populations and areas."
Yet another part of the bill provides $403 million for IRS expenses, "including purchase and hire of passenger motor vehicles."
It would further provide up to a $7,500 tax credit to families making up to $300,000 per year for electric vehicles assembled without critical minerals from hostile countries, and not assembled in hostile countries.
The tax credit applies for new vans, SUVs and pickups up to $80,000. For other cars the limit is $55,000.
Families making up to $150,000 can also get a $4,000 tax credit for used electric vehicles. [I think the CBO has scored some portions of this but I'm not sure of the details]

[FOX] The World Economic Forum is looking to reduce global reliance on critical metals as nations look to make the transition to renewable energy supplies, and one proposal is reducing ownership of private vehicles. Would that include private jets and yachts that carry the elites to Vail, Davos, Paris? I thought not. FOAD
"This transition from fossil fuels to renewables will need large supplies of critical metals such as cobalt, lithium, nickel, to name a few," the forum said in a report earlier this month. "Shortages of these critical minerals could raise the costs of clean energy technologies."
The international lobbying organization based in Switzerland has proposed three solutions for lowering the costs of critical metals used in everything from cellphones and electric vehicles to wind turbines and efficient lighting.

We are halfway there. Folks lease now so they can flip the car in 4-5 years and get a new one. Young generation that grew up on Lyft and uber don't even feel the need for a car, they don't see freedom they see costs.
The World Economic Forum is just stupid to call attention to things that are already heading their way, then again they would be commie sympathizers if they weren't stupid..

And so we see that "climate Change" is just another made up crisis to be used as a pretext to turn us all into slaves. FOAD is indeed the appropriate response.

No private transportation means moving to an urban center. Hive cities are easy to rule and police selectively. Think of the Imperial Roman model, proles in the Subura, Patricians on the Palatine with their wealth coming from estates and country mansions to escape the ordeals of city life. WEF, what is old is new again, and behind it, the shadowy but real Middle Kingdom Imperium plan.

In the old days a union worker expected to own his own home and buy a new car no less than every thee years. While legally there is a difference, I’m not sure that functionally there is — given that for a price that lease can be turned into a purchase.

I can't speak for Union workers but nearly everyone I know got a parents car as their first. If you keep getting new ones you never get it paid off entirely.

[MAIL] The Food and Drug Administration's top tobacco scientist has accepted a job at tobacco giant Philip Morris International, just weeks after he signed off on the company's latest vape product.
Matt Holman, chief of the office of science in the agency's Center for Tobacco Products (CTP), announced his departure from the FDA on Tuesday, effective immediately, after having served at the agency for more than 20 years.
His departure adds to ongoing trouble within the FDA's tobacco control division, which is currently under review by agency commissioner Robert Califf.
It also follows the division's loss of Mitch Zeller, who retired in April after serving as CTP director for nearly a decade. Brian King, who announced Holman's resignation in an internal memo, was appointed director earlier this month.

[bitcoinmagazine] Online censorship is becoming increasingly normalized as growing restrictions, deplatforming and its other manifestations have become so pervasive that many have simply come to accept it. This "new normal" for free speech is as insidious as it has been gradual, as we are increasingly being trained to accept unconstitutional limitations on what we can express on the websites that dominate online socialization. Like so much of our lives, social interaction has moved online at a rapid pace in the last decade, meaning that restrictions imposed upon online speech have a disproportionate effect on speech in general.
The argument that is often deployed to dismiss concerns regarding online censorship is the claim that the dominant social media companies are private, not public, entities. However, in reality, the Big Tech firms that dominate our online lives, particularly Google and Facebook, were either created with some involvement of the U.S. national security state or have become major U.S. government and/or military contractors over the past two decades.(i,ii,iii,iv,v) When it comes to censoring and deplatforming individuals for claims that run counter to U.S. government narratives, it should be clear that Google-owned YouTube, and other tech platforms owned by contractors to the U.S. military and intelligence communities, have a major conflict of interest in their stifling of speech.
If you thought Yellowstone was TV fiction.
[FoxNews] The American Prairie (AP), a conservation project in Montana, has quietly scooped up more than 450,000 acres of land with the help of its billionaire donors and the federal government.
The little-known project aims to create the largest "fully functioning ecosystem" in the continental U.S. by stitching together about 3.2 million acres of private and public lands, according to the American Prairie Foundation, which founded the reserve more than 20 years ago. The group has recorded 34 transactions spanning roughly 453,188 acres of land throughout central Montana — much of which were once used for farming and grazing — since 2004 and continues to aggressively expand.
"Our mission is to assemble the largest complex of public and private lands devoted to wildlife in the lower 48," Pete Geddes, AP's vice president and chief external relations officer, told Fox News Digital in an interview. "For comparison, about 25% larger than Yellowstone."
"We're not asking the federal government to create anything, we're not asking the federal government for any money," he added. "Instead, we're engaged in private philanthropy and voluntary exchange by buying ranches from people who would like to sell that to us."
The American Prairie Foundation has raised tens of millions of dollars in recent years, according to recent tax filings, thanks in large part to its donors, which include well-known Wall Street and Silicon Valley magnates. Hansjoerg Wyss, a Swiss financier and mega-donor of liberal causes, deceased German retail mogul Erivan Haub, John Mars, the heir to the Mars candy fortune, and Susan Packard Orr, daughter of the Hewlett-Packard Co. co-founder, have all donated to AP, Bloomberg previously reported.
The AP said about 3% of its contributions have come from international donors.
"It's an area that doesn't have a lot of people in it and has been depopulating for a long, long time," Geddes said. "So, the thinking was, perhaps there's greater potential for less conflict over conservation in this part of the world."
However, AP's plans have faced increasing pushback from top state officials and local ranchers who argue such a nature reserve would remove key land from production and negatively impact surrounding privately-owned lands. Using its donor funds, the group has purchased about 118,000 acres of private land and leased another 334,000 acres of public land owned primarily by the federal government.
"Those donors are able to write those contributions off as a charitable donation, so they don't have to live with the consequences of what they're doing to these communities," said Chuck Denowh, the policy director at the United Property Owners of Montana (UPOM), a group made up of local ranchers opposed to AP's plans.
"It's really concerning that we have such an amount of foreign money coming into AP to buy up our ag land," he told Fox News Digital. "For the future of food security of this country, we need to take a close look at that."
Denowh said the vast majority of locals throughout the surrounding counties who have looked after and conserved the land for decades are opposed to the AP's plans. The region is almost entirely dependent on the agriculture industry.
Opponents of AP have focused their ire in particular on one of the group's chief proposals to release wild bison onto the property, giving visitors "a chance to witness the majestic species." UPOM has expressed concern that free-roaming bison may infect surrounding livestock with brucellosis, an infectious disease commonly found in bison and elk populations, which could be extremely costly for ranchers if spread to their cattle.
The foundation requested permission from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the federal agency responsible for managing 245 million acres of public lands, to allow bison grazing on portions of the leased property in 2017 and again in 2019. The agency announced Thursday that it had approved the AP's request for bison grazing across 63,500 acres of federal property.
Gov. Greg Gianforte and a series of state agency heads penned letters to BLM late last year urging the agency not to approve the request. Montana Department of Agriculture Director Christy Clark said the plan would remove "large chunks of land from production agriculture," likely decrease agricultural production revenue and harm support industries in the area like machinery sales and ranch laborers.
"It's just flatly illegal," Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen told Fox News Digital in an interview. "This is federal land that is specifically — by the Taylor Grazing Act, by federal law — set aside for livestock grazing. Bison are not livestock, even under federal law."
"That's the part that everyone just seems to be ignoring here," he continued. "AP doesn't want to admit that, certainly the Bureau of Land Management and the Department of Interior don't want to admit that. But that's just the fact."
Knudsen slammed AP for what he called its surreptitious plan to create an "American Serengeti" where "liberal coastal elites can come and hang out and look at the pretty animals." The attorney general added that his office is closely reviewing the Biden administration's decision Thursday to determine its next steps to protect ranchers and the state's interests.
The Taylor Grazing Act, which Congress passed in 1934, is designed to prevent overgrazing by allowing local ranchers to lease public land for livestock grazing and raising forage crops. The bill was approved to increase food and livestock production on land that had, for years, been severely mismanaged.
While AP has argued the law allows for bison grazing, the group has also acknowledged its plans are primarily centered on conservation, not production. For example, the group boasts on its website that its land acquisitions have already led to the retirement of 63,777 acres of cattle grazing leases in the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge, allowing federal authorities to "restore the habitat primarily for wildlife use."
An estimated 800 bison currently roam on some of AP's property, a number the group hopes will swell to "several thousand" as part of its wildlife restoration plan.
AP currently leases out some of the land it oversees to cattle ranchers, who, amid a major regional drought, are desperate for grasslands available for livestock grazing. Geddes said those ranchers have been made well aware of AP's plans to eventually push them off reserve property once bison are allowed to roam on that leased land.
"Let's say in a couple of years, we have 1,200 head of bison. In the seven counties in which we work, there are probably half a million head of cattle," he added. "This critique that we're somehow dropping the neutron bomb and wiping out agriculture in this area — it's just nonsensical."
Montana's $4.72 billion agriculture industry is among the state's largest sectors and supplies the U.S. with a large supply of wheat, hay, lentils, corn and meat, according to the Montana Department of Agriculture. As of January, Montana ranchers operated an inventory of 2.2 million cattle, making it one of the few states with more cattle than people.
Overall, cattle inventories have declined in Montana and across the country over the last several years, a recent report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service showed.
A signal that the next turning of the screw is imminent.
[ToloNews] Islamic Emirate front man Zabiullah Mujahid said in a statement that the leader of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Hibatullah Akhundzada, held a gathering with the provincial governors in Kandahar.
Mawlawi Hibatullah Akhundzada stressed the need to preserve Islamic values, according to the statement.
Mawalawi Hibatullah called for the implementation of Sharia law, saying that the laws which are made by humans are not acceptable and that every problem should be solved by Sharia.
"Over the past 20 years, there have been a lot of anti-Shari and Islam rhetoric and laws which are made by the people is not implementable," he was quoted in the statement.
Analysts say that the implementation of other laws is important in addition to Sharia.
"The laws should be implemented so as not to be against and in contrast with Sharia, so if it is something like this, that is an Islamic law," said Ghulam Sakhi Ihsani, university instructor.
A part of the statement said that all rights based on Sharia must be provided to women and also the previous decree of the supreme leader which had six articles must be implemented
[KhaamaPress] When the Taliban ...Arabic for students... took control of Kabul, the Afghan capital, 1,800 ISIS bandidosfaceless myrmidons were released from Bagram and Pul-e-Charkhi prisons, according to Amir Khan Muttaqi, acting Foreign Minister of the Taliban, who made the statement at the Tashkent international conference in the capital of Uzbekistan.
Foreign Minister Muttaqi conceded the release of ISIS prisoners during his speech at the Tashkent conference on Tuesday, July 26. However, today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday... he claimed that during the previous 11 months of Taliban administration, the group had grown strong enough to subdue ISIS fighters.
He asserted that when the ISIS members were besieged by the Taliban in Jawzjan province in northern Afghanistan, the previous administration flew them to Kabul. He further claimed that for the previous 11 months, the same ISIS had been causing unrest in Afghanistan.
Previously, American officials even said the Taliban’s release of bad boy Islamist ISIS prisoners from the prisons of Pul-e-Charkhi and Bagram had strengthened the group.
After taking control of every province last year, the Taliban pardoned all the prisoners with all the detention centers and prisons in Afghanistan were emptied when this group took Kabul.
Even though the Taliban have underlined time and time again that ISIS does not physically exist in Afghanistan and does not pose a threat, since the Taliban’s gaining control, ISIS has grabbed credit for deadly attacks on mosques, schools, and cars.

Taliban intelligence in the province of Faryab, according to the Afghanistan Journalists Center (AFJC), has interrogated a local journalist. In a tweet, AFJC reported that Maimana, the provincial district of Faryab, saw the arrest of Salam Watandar’s senior news hound this morning at around 10:30.
According to Salam Watandar, Talha, the Taliban’s deputy intelligence officer in Faryab province, arrested Alauddin Erkin, one of the local journalists for this outlet.
Salam Watandar reported that the intelligence forces made no mention of the cause or intent behind the detention of Alauddin Erkin.

[KhaamaPress] A delegation of the Islamic Clerics of Pakistain led by Muhammad Taqi Usmani, a well-known Pak Islamic scholar, met with the leaders of the Tahreek-e-Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... Pakistain (TTP) in Kabul, according to sources.
During the meeting with the delegation, TTP repeated their demands — including the release of its members from the Pak prisons — saying they won’t compromise in their demands, the sources said.
"Yesterday, the delegation of Islamic Clerics of Pakistain has met with Noor Wali, leader of the Taliban Pakistain in Kabul, and from my point of view the trip is an improvement," said Tahir Khan, a journalist, as TOLOnews quoted.
In a photo shown by Pak media, a number of leaders of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain can be seen talking to the Pak delegation in Kabul.
Meanwhile, ...back at the wreckage, Captain Poindexter wished he had thought to pack sun block... the Islamic Emirate leadership confirmed their meeting, saying Pak delegation came to Kabul to discuss bilateral relation between the two countries, but avoided further details on the matter.
"The delegation of Islamic Clerics of Pakistain have come to Kabul to discuss education, economic and bilateral relations between the two countries—there are no more details in this regard," said Bilal Karimi, deputy front man of the Islamic Emirate, as local media quoted.
However, it's easy to be generous with someone else's money... a number of analysts shared various thoughts on the trip Pak delegation made to Kabul in order to meet the PPT members.
"If Afghanistan can make peace between them, it will be good for Afghanistan, but the most essential thing is that Afghanistan must preserve its home," said Waheed Faqiri, political analyst.
Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP), commonly known as the Pak Taliban, is an umbrella organization of various Islamist armed bully boy groups operating along the Afghan—Pak border. Formed in 2007 by Baitullah Mehsud, its current leader is Noor Wali Mehsud, who has publicly pledged allegiance to the Afghan Taliban.
TTP has a number of demands from the government of Pakistain, which includes lifting of all sanctions imposed on its leaders, the return of the Taliban to Pakistain’s tribal areas, the release of all prisoners, and the withdrawal of the Mighty Pak Army from these areas.

The TTP see Tak Usmani as a lap dog of Arabs. Wali Mehsud is a pashtun from Waziristan. Not as much a scholar as a fighter. Usmani has clearly been sent to appeal to their mutual moslemnity.
But the rights which run deep in the very fabric of their society, those cannot be overcome by eye-slam alone. For decades, the pashtun was treated like a menial labourer, his women for prostitution in Karachi and Lahore. The predominantly punjabi leadership of Pakistain, both military and civil, are now trying to contain the taliban's coming revenge. These people do not forget. You can't appeal to them in Allan's name and hope for them to play ball. They are getting their own 'tranches' now, and China doesn't need 'slamabad as middleman because they have been assured Taliban cooperation. Even if they do make some kind of apparent peace with 'slamabad, it'll be only so they can stab them up close. And they should.

[IsraelTimes] Institutes given conditional permits, told to rectify curriculum after textbooks found to glorify armed struggle against Israel, contain conspiracy theories.
Education Minister Yifat Shasha-Biton announced Thursday that she had given instructions to cancel the permanent licenses of six schools in East Jerusalem due to incitement against Israel and the Israeli army.
The schools will be given a conditional license for a year, during which they will be required to make changes to their curriculum or lose their operating license entirely.
The schools were found to be using textbooks that included "the glorification of prisoners and their armed struggle against the State of Israel, conspiracy theories about withholding treatment from patients and intentional harm to medical staff, accusations of [Israel] being responsible for the water crisis in the Paleostinian Authority and grave claims about killings, displacements and military massacres," the Education Ministry said in a statement.
Directors of the Ibrahimieh College and five other schools run by the al-Eman organization were summoned for a hearing on the material. Together, the schools have around 2,000 pupils.
"Incitement against the State of Israel and IDF soldiers in children’s school textbooks is an intolerable phenomenon that will be dealt with severely," Shasha-Biton said.
Earlier this month, an East Jerusalem high school drew outrage after video footage showed a school play that had students dressed up as button men pointing weapons at other students dressed up as religious Jews, blindfolded and on their knees.
The incident took place at the Anata High School in East Jerusalem, according to a report Wednesday by Channel 12.
A video of the play, which appeared to draw a large audience, was uploaded to TikTok and went viral.
Responding to the reports, the Education Ministry condemned the incident but clarified that the school was under the full administrative control of the Paleostinian Authority.
[IsraelTimes] Suspect taken for medical treatment; military launches manhunt for cell that fled after attempted attack near northern West Bank city; no soldiers hurt.
A Paleostinian man allegedly shot up a military position near the northern West Bank city of Nablus on Thursday night and was shot by Israeli soldiers, the military said.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, several armed Paleostinians arrived by vehicle at a military post between Nablus and Huwara. One person got out of the car and opened fire.
"The armed man was identified by troops operating in the area," the IDF said, adding that soldiers returned fire and maimed him.
He was taken to an Israeli hospital for medical treatment, and was expected to be questioned.
Paleostinian media reports, citing the Paleostinian Red Islamic Thingy medical service, said two people were being treated for gunshot wounds.
The other men in the car apparently fled, and the IDF said another Paleostinian vehicle approached the area and took the gunman’s weapon.
The IDF launched a manhunt for the other members of the cell.
No soldiers were hurt, the IDF said.
Images circulated online showed a car with smashed windows, apparently from Israeli gunfire.
The incident followed an uptick in shootings in the area in recent weeks.

[IsraelTimes] IDF says forces seized illegal weapons, thousands of shekels intended for terrorist activity; IDF says Paleostinian hit by Israeli fire in festivities, but Ramallah says no injuries.
Security forces arrested 10 people suspected of involvement in terror activities during overnight raids across the West Bank, the Israel Defense Forces said Thursday.
Forces from the IDF, the Shin Bet internal security service and Border Police arrested three terror suspects in the Jalazoun Refugee Camp near Ramallah, where the military said troops encountered a "violent mostly peaceful riot" that included stone-throwing at Israeli forces.
Soldiers used riot dispersal means, including the firing of a Ruger rifle, and said they had hit a Paleostinian. Ruger bullets are considered less lethal than the larger caliber rounds typically used by the IDF. But human rights When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much... groups have condemned the use of Ruger fire for riot control, as the weapon can still kill.
The military did not provide further details on the condition of the person injured, and the official Paleostinian Wafa news agency said there were no injuries in the clash.
The IDF and Border Police also confiscated numerous illegal weapons, including an M-16, in the West Bank village of Silwad, the army said.
In addition, forces arrested three terror suspects in the Paleostinian villages of Yamun, Burqin and Yabad near the city of Jenin, the army said.
The IDF additionally arrested two terror suspects in Al Doha, near Bethlehem, where it also reported "violent mostly peaceful disorder." The IDF said protesters threw fireworks and rocks, and troops responded with dispersal measures.
In Surif, near Hebron, the IDF said it confiscated thousands of shekels suspected of being intended for use to fund terror activities.
In Qarawat Bani Zeid, near Ramallah, security forces arrested two suspects and seized illegal weapons.
The IDF said there were no injuries to Israeli forces.

Ankara has claimed the killing of at least two PKK commanders in Sulaimani in the past month. PKK has not confirmed any of the deaths.
A Ottoman Turkish drone in June targeted a car carrying suspected PKK members in the Garmiyan administration’s town of Kalar in Sulaimani, killing the deputy chairman of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) executive council.
The PKK is an gang struggling for the increased rights of Kurds in Turkey and designated a terrorist organization by Ankara.
Turkey’s offensives on the Kurdistan Region have previously led to civilian casualties who are often caught in the crossfire, despite Ankara’s denial.
Ankara has received widespread criticism from Baghdad, Erbil, and the international community for violating Iraqi illusory sovereignty. It recently launched an operation against the gang in Duhok province, dubbed Claw-Lock, which has been condemned by Iraqi officials, who labeled it as a "hostile" and "provocative" violation of the country’s illusory sovereignty.

[Hot Air] One of the most alarming aspects of the entire ongoing transgender debate, aside from the environment of indoctrination in our public schools, has been the trend of doctors being willing to medically intervene in the normal development of children to support their "transition." These interventions come in multiple forms, all of which can and do carry potential negative consequences for children. They include regular injections of unnatural hormones and even genital mutilation surgery and mastectomies. But perhaps even more alarming is the growing "popularity" of administering so-called "puberty-blocking" drugs to very young children as a way to prevent their natural gender from developing.
Prominent American medical associations that have been infected with wokeness have largely remained silent about this practice. But perhaps that is starting to change. The FDA recently added a warning to the most commonly prescribed puberty-blockers, saying that they can cause "serious risks" for children who take them. (KATV News)

The Ghey Political power in the demokrat party is enormous, and they have gone from hoping for acceptance and equality for their lifestyle and all its questionable variants in the last century to DEMANDING it be displayed approvingly in every aspect of daily life. But moving to pedophilia and "grooming" is intolerable to any rational person. ENOUGH!
[Red State] Seems to me that until a better example comes along — shortly, I’m sure — if you look up "irony" in the dictionary, the above headline will be the first example you see. Yep, as Biden’s border crisis continues unabated, with tens of thousands of non-English-speaking illegals streaming across the Southern border daily, residents of Mexico City are ticked off by the influx of English-speaking Americans into Mexico.
As reported by The Los Angeles Times on Wednesday in an article that rivals the best travel brochures, Mexico has long been the top foreign travel destination for Americans, "its bountiful beaches and picturesque pueblos luring tens of millions of U.S. visitors annually." But in recent years, an influx of Californians, along with Americans from across the country, have flooded Mexico City, the nation’s capital, and left "a scent of new-wave imperialism."
And, English? You know, a foreign language in Mexico, where most people don’t speak a lick of it? Locals have become increasingly "fed up" with the growing number of Americans moving to the country, which has contributed to a rise in rent and a shift from Spanish to English in some places, with flyers popping up around the city — in English:
[Rudaw] Four members of the internal security forces (Asayish) were killed when a suspected Ottoman Turkish drone targeted their vehicle in Syria's Raqqa province, local media reported as the region experiences a spike in attacks amid The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... ’s threats of launching a military operation in the area.
"A drone targeting our forces in Ain Issa while performing their duty resulted in the martyrdom of four members," Hawar News Agency (ANHA) cited the Asayish as saying.
The car was targeted by a drone in Raqqa’s Ain Issa.
Following the attack, General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Mazloum Abdi said targeting Asayish members "threatens [the] area's security directly" as they are in charge of protecting the security of the cities, displacement camps and Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. The threat of a Ottoman Turkish invasion into northern Syria has recently gained momentum, with Ankara targeting key leaders of the SDF and launching a spate of drone attacks on Kurdish forces.
Abdi said "Ottoman Turkish drones" have targeted nine SDF fighters, four Asayish members, and 13 civilians in the past eight days.
The SDF on Saturday confirmed the death of one of its commanders and two other fighters who were targeted by a Ottoman Turkish drone a day before. Abdi vowed to avenge their deaths.
A recent trilateral summit in Tehran between the Ottoman Turkish, Russian, and Iranian heads of state failed to discourage Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important... from going ahead with his plans to carry out a military offensive in northern Syria, aimed at creating a 30 kilometer "safe zone" by expelling Kurdish fighters of the People's Protection Units (YPG) from Manbij and Tal Rifaat.
Turkey views the YPG as the Syrian offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and considers both groups terrorists.

[Rudaw] Kurdish forces seek coordination with the Iraqi army in the disputed areas in a bid to put an end to a series of recent rocket attacks against a key gas field controlled by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in Chamchamal, a Peshmerga commander said on Thursday.
Khor Mor gas field, operated by the UAE-based Dana Gas, has been targeted with rockets several times since June. Despite the deployment of more Kurdish troops to the area, the attacks continue, with the latest one being on Monday.
Mustafa Chawrash, who commands the Peshmerga forces who protect the field, told Rudaw's Sirwan Abbas on Thursday that they "will begin talks with the Iraqi army to fill this security vacuum," referring to areas disputed by Erbil and Baghdad.
"We do not want to unilaterally set up bases there in order to avoid issues with the Iraqi army. We will speak with them and try to [convince them] that the area should be controlled by one of us," he added.
The absence of Peshmerga and Iraqi army in parts of the uninhabited areas located between both forces has been exploited by the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. (ISIS) and some Iraqi militia groups who often carry out rocket and drone attacks against the Kurdistan Region.
The Kurdistan Region has been facing an unprecedented number of rocket and drone attacks since the beginning of the year, mostly blamed on Iran-backed militias.
Khor Mor field produces 452 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, according to Dana Gas.
Peshmerga forces said on Wednesday that they discovered the location where attacks against the gas field were carried out, confiscating a Kia truck with projectiles onboard - prepared for a new attack.

The news about the three deceased doctors was first shared by Monique in a post that went viral. According to Monique, a concerned nurse shared with her a copy of the memo that was sent out by the hospital’s management.
According to the nurse, the three doctors died after the hospital started mandating the fourth Covid shot for their employees.
"Three physicians at the Mississauga hospitals have died this week," the nurse told Monique. "1st memo Monday, 2nd Tuesday, 3rd Thursday. /\ Polydrug use, it's all a fiction, a conspiracy theory. No ?
In the e-mail, a scientist named Thomas J. Moore explained he had been stuck by Irving's finding, and he believed there was a way to move this investigation forward-to get to the bottom of what was really going on. Almost all the scientific studies Irving had looked at up to now, the e-mail explained, had a a catch. The vast majority of research into whether drugs work or not is funded by big pharmaceutical companies, and they do this research for a specific reason: they want to be able to market those drugs so they can make a profit.

[Garowe] The Æthiopian government on Wednesday disclosed that more than 209 al-Shabaab ...... Somalia's version of the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... , functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda... fighters have been killed after a failed incursion from neighboring Somalia by the holy warrior group.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the Æthiopian Federal Government Communication Service said the coordinated security operation is underway by federal and Æthiopia's Somali regional security forces against remnants of al-Shabaab fighters following their failed incursion.
It said the continued coordinated security operation inflicted a "huge loss of manpower and property" against the al-Shabaab group that attempted to infiltrate the Afder zone of Æthiopia's Somali region a few days ago, adding that more than 209 al-Shabaab fighters have been killed so far.
On Saturday, authorities in Æthiopia's Somali region disclosed that 13 vehicles used by the turbans during their incursion into the southeastern Æthiopia region were destroyed. Large amounts of food supplies and firearms were also captured from the holy warriors.
[Garowe] Æthiopian Prime Minister is after all admitted to hospital, multiple sources have confirmed to Garowe Online, ending speculations following his absence from the public glare for the last couple of weeks, as the country continues to battle with various challenges.
For weeks, there have been concerns about the whereabouts of the Prime Minister, with some quarters claiming that he has been on the battlefield following festivities between security forces and the Oromo Liberation Front [OLF], a group that government dismisses as terrorists.
The Æthiopian National Defense Forces [ENDF] has been battling against the group, with some media houses reporting that PM Ahmed could have gone to the battlefield. A few months ago, he had joined ENDF in the fight against Tigray People's Liberation Front [TPLF]
But reliable sources told Garowe Online that the Æthiopian PM is currently undergoing treatment in the United Arab Emirates [UAE] and has been admitted for the last couple of days. According to the sources, the PM is reportedly suffering from chronic back pain.
On Wednesday, Abiy Ahmed was again absent during the reception of Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov who arrived in the country. Protocol dictates that once such guests arrive in the country, they are taken to the office of the PM for bilateral engagements.
But in Africa, it's not unusual for the government to guard information regarding the health of senior government officials, with some dying for several days before the public is notified. This is usually due to a conflict of interests within the government.
His admission comes just as the country foiled al-Shabaab ...... Somalia's version of the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... , functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda... attacks. After foiling a complex al-Shabazb multi-direction attacks in the east days ago, Mustafe Omer, the president of the Somali region, announced that his regional state in Æthiopia is working to create a 'buffer security zone' inside Somalia to shield its territory from the acts of terrorism.
Omer said the objectives of al-Shabaab's new war in eastern Æthiopia are different from the previous cross-border attacks, adding their info indicates that other foreign powers deadlocked with Addis Ababa over the giant Nile dam may involve. Æthiopia is under pressure from Egypt and Sudan overfilling of water in the Grand Renaissance dam.
He accused unnamed foreign countries of waging proxy warfare in Æthiopia through al-Shabaab which wants to set up permanent bases in the country in an attempt to disrupt the $4.2bn dam project. This comes as a dispute remains unresolved between Egypt, Sudan, and Æthiopia over GERD.
[IsraelTimes] Forces respond with live fire to violence in town of Abu Dis, as officer is injured by rock thrown at his hand.
Eight Paleostinians allegedly involved in terror activities were arrested overnight Wednesday throughout the West Bank in a joint operation carried out by the Israeli military, the Border Police and the Shin Bet. One Israeli troop suffered mild injuries.
Troops were deployed to several Paleostinian towns, including Beit Furik, Tarqumiyah, Beit Fajjar, Teqoa, Abu Dis and the Dheisheh refugee camp, the military said in a statement.
While entering the Jerusalem-area town of Abu Dis, Israeli troops were met with a violent mostly peaceful riot that included suspects throwing Molotov cocktails, large stones and other heavy items toward them.
The troops, feeling that their lives were in danger, responded with live fire, according to a statement issued by the Border Police.
One Border Police officer suffered a light injury to his hand after being hit by a rock, the statement added. He was taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
Troops also arrested a suspect who had been involved in attacking Israeli vehicles on West Bank roads.
Overall, eight suspects were arrested during the night.
[IsraelTimes] Morad Tahbaz, 66, at family home in Tehran, Foreign Office says; prominent conservationist, held since 2018, is serving 10 years on charges of spying for US that West calls a sham.
Morad Tahbaz, a UK-born environmentalist who has been enjugged Book 'im, Mahmoud! in Iran ...The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both... for more than four years, has been released on furlough, the British government said Wednesday.
The Foreign Office said Tahbaz has been allowed to leave Evin Prison and is at his family’s home in Tehran. The 66-year-old wildlife conservationist is one of several people holding both Iranian and Western citizenship imprisoned by Iranian authorities over allegations of espionage. The West says the charges are a sham and claims Iran uses dual-national prisoners for political leverage.
Two high-profile detainees, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Anoosheh Ashoori, were released in March and returned to Britannia. Tahbaz was allowed out on furlough at the same time, but later sent back to prison.
His case is complicated because he holds US, British and Iranian citizenship.
Iranian security forces arrested Tahbaz in January 2018, as part of a wide crackdown targeting environmental activist muppets in the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
A prominent conservationist and board member of the Persian Wildlife Heritage Foundation that seeks to protect endangered species, Tahbaz was sentenced to 10 years in prison with his colleagues on vague charges of spying for America and undermining Iran’s security.
UK Foreign Office officials said "we continue to work closely with the United States to urge the Iranian authorities to permanently release him and allow his departure from Iran."
[Washington Examiner] Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) confronted a top Justice Department official about the federal investigation into Hunter Biden during a hearing Thursday.
Prying questions about the inquiry were met with resistance from Assistant Attorney General for National Security Matthew Olsen, who tried to fend off broadsides about President Joe Biden's son.
"Is Hunter Biden a national security threat?" the congressman asked at the beginning of his line of questioning.
WHERE'S HUNTER? NOWHERE IN NBC'S MERRICK GARLAND INTERVIEW
"That's not a question that would come before me," Olsen replied. He later insisted that the Justice Department would "speak" about any such cases only in court.
Gaetz has promoted the exchange, saying Olsen "accidentally" confirmed the existence of an investigation into Hunter Biden's business and laptop.
[NYPOST] The flashy Brooklyn pastor who was robbed of more than $1 million in jewelry during a live-streamed church service was accused of stealing $90,000 from a congregant in a lawsuit filed last year.
Bishop Lamor Whitehead — who is known for flaunting his Gucci suits, diamond-encrusted chains and stable of luxury vehicles — allegedly has a history of grifting and even served time in prison for identity theft and grand larceny.
Pauline Anderson, 56, accused the Rolls-Royce driving clergyman of convincing her to liquidate her life savings and pay him a $90,000 "investment" in November 2020 with the promise that he would buy and renovate a home for her, according to her Brooklyn Supreme Court lawsuit.
Whitehead also agreed to pay Anderson $100 per month since the savings was her only source of income, says the suit, first reported by The City on Thursday.
Whitehead, 44, allegedly only made one of the $100 payments to Anderson in January 2021, and each time she asked about the status of her home in the following months, he repeatedly told her that he was tied up with his election campaign for Brooklyn Borough President, according to the lawsuit.
Ultimately, instead of helping Anderson find a home, Whitehead used the funds as down payment on the contract to purchase a $4.4 million home for himself in Saddle River, New Jersey, the suit alleges.

[NYPOST] More photos emerged Thursday showing the destruction left by the Russian bombardment this week in Bakhmut — just before the Ukrainian city was hit again by rockets.
Bakhmut, a city in the northern part of Donetsk province, was home to over 70,000 Ukrainians before the war began.
Now, as Russian forces double down on their efforts to take the eastern Donbas region — made up of the Donetsk and Luhansk provinces — the war has come to Bakhmut in the form of artillery strikes.
Images circulating Thursday show rescue workers trying to pull maimed Ukrainians from the rubble of a hotel struck Wednesday when Russian forces fired on the city.
Donetsk’s governor, Pavlo Kyrylenko, said on Telegram Thursday that the city had been hit again by Russian rockets, leaving at least three dead.
"Bakhmut is again under Russian fire — today the Russians shelled the city four times," he wrote.
"At least three dead and three maimed are already known," Kyrylenko continued. "Six apartment buildings and six private houses were damaged."
Kyrylenko accused the Russians of using cluster munitions in their bombardment of the city.
Meanwhile, ...back at the abandoned silver mine, there was another explosion... as the fight for the Donbas raged on, Russian troops were confirmed to have taken the coal-fired powerplant of Vuhlehirsk, less than 40 miles from Bakhmut.
Ukrainian presidential advisor Oleksiy Arestovych said the capture of the plant gave Russian forces a "tiny tactical advantage" as they appeared to restart their flagging offensive in the east.
Ukrainian and Russian forces were set to clash in the south, as Kyiv confirmed a large counteroffensive operation was underway to retake the Kherson region in the Ukrainian south.

Yesterday the Senate, today the House. The presidentiao signature by the end of the day?
[NationalReview] The House on Thursday passed the bipartisan Chips and Science Act, which aims to increase domestic production of computer chips to allow the U.S. to become more competitive against China in the global technology market.
The bill passed the House in a 243-187 vote one day after passing the Senate in a 64-33 vote. The legislation now heads to the desk of President Joe Biden....
House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy criticized the Chips and Science Act on the House floor on Thursday as a "$280 billion blank check" to the semiconductor industry.

[NYPOST] Russian troops in Ukraine’s Kherson region are believed to be highly vulnerable to attack and "virtually cut off" from their other occupied territories after Kyiv’s troops blew up or damaged three key bridges — as US intelligence estimated that half of the Kremlin’s invading force has been obliterated.
More than 75,000 Russian soldiers have been either killed or maimed since the start of the war in Ukraine on Feb. 24, according to US Rep. Elissa Slotkin, who she learned of the latest toll from intelligence officials at a recent briefing.
"We were briefed that over 75,000 Russians have either been killed or maimed, which is huge, you’ve got incredible amounts of investment in their land forces, over 80% of their land forces are bogged down, and they’re tired," Slotkin, who serves on the House Armed Services Committee, told CNN ...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for... on Wednesday. "But they’re still the Russian military."
US intelligence officials previously estimated that Russia had sent somewhere between 150,000 and 190,000 troops to fight in Ukraine.
The Russian military last reported its losses in March, when it said 1,351 troops had been killed. In June, a Russian politician boasted to the state media agency RIA Novosti that "we have practically stopped losing people."
Slotkin said the next three to six weeks could prove decisive for Ukraine.
"I think that what we heard very firmly from President (Volodymyr) Zelensky and reinforced today is that the Ukrainians really want to hit Russia in the teeth a few times before the winter comes, put them in the best position possible, particularly hitting them down south," Slotkin said.
At the same time, British military intelligence said Ukraine’s counter-offensive in the southern region of Kherson, which borders Russian-annexed Crimea and is under Kremlin’s control at this time, is "gathering momentum."
Ukraine has used US-supplied long-range HIMARS multiple rocket launchers to badly damage three bridges across the Dnipro River in recent weeks, making it harder for Russia to supply its forces on the western bank.
UK intelligence said the strategy was starting to isolate Russian troops in the Kherson region.

[NYPOST] A New Jersey councilwoman allegedly hit a cyclist with her SUV and knocked him off his bike— then sped away without stopping, according to reports and stunning footage.
Jersey City councilwoman Amy DeGise was captured on camera slamming into Andrew Black at 8 a.m. on July 19, causing him to fly over vehicle’s hood and fall to the ground, according to hudpost.com.
"I look left, suddenly I just hear ’Ba[m].’ I get hit," said Black, a 29-year-old UberEats deliveryman. "I roll over and I’m in such pain."
Instead of stopping to help, the politician drove away from the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Forrest Street in a Nissan Rogue, said Black, who was able to stand up shortly after the accident.
Black didn’t suffer any major injuries — but is angry that a community leader failed to do the right thing.

In addition to being Muslim, they mean? Isn’t being Pakistan enough of a reason?
[NEWAGEBD.NET] Since 1958, Pakistain’s political history has, time and again, been interrupted by her military generals, who exerted their might and discretely colluded with political parties. The first such intervention on part of its army was as early as 1958 when general Ayub Khan abolished the constitutional regime of 1956. Subsequently, the military staged three coups in October 1958, July 1977 and October 1999.
A most significant aspect of Pak politics is its total, unflinching commitment to the religion of Islam, which had served as the basis of seeking a nationhood in order to safeguard the interests of the Moslems in the Indian sub-continent. A recurrent theme in the military and civil life in Pakistain is that every citizen should be mindful of adhering to the principles and code of conduct prescribed in Islam. It is regarded as the way to safeguard and preserve one’s dignity and honour.
The former president, also former general, Zia ul Huq used to say that the gift of western education should not be considered an end in itself and that a Pak must not be merely ’a professional soldier, an engineer, or a doctor’, but must use this to become ’Moslem soldiers, Moslem generals, Moslem doctors, Moslem officers and Moslem men’. Thus, Islam became a core public policy in the state affairs, and Pakistain was officially declared an Islamic republic.

Mr. Menadue is a Australian Labourite of the Cold War era and beyond, which clearly colours his thinking and that of the websites writers. The opening proposition of this piece ignores the fact that Communist China has been planning on war with America for decades, assuming that China is fated to be the next world hegemon. It seems to me, however, that they were first premature in their assumptions and now have already reached the tipping point where it is too late for them to act successfully, a point they would not have reached for some years yet were it not for them having loosed Covid-19 on the world two years ago.
By Nury Vittachi and Phill Hynes
[JohnMenadue] US military experts say a war over Taiwan is desirable, because Asia’s growth to become world’s economic heartland has become unstoppable.
Yes, we want war. But just a small one, please, followed by a quick surrender. The United States is diligently working with Australia and the UK to goad China into what they hope will be a limited war over Taiwan, according to military strategists. By continually poking at the giant developing nation, the aim is to force it to fire the first bullet — and then use that to paint China as the protagonist, the bully that the rest of the world must unite against.
To prepare for this, the partners in the scheme are teaming up. Rather like the "coalition of the willing" in the Iraq War 2.0, the US is pushing for another misadventure, this time through a coalition of the coerced.
Media’s role
The Western media is playing a key role in this process.
The media is painting China’s knee-jerk and entirely predictable responses that it "will not stand for attempts to promote Taiwan independence" as evidence of shocking new acts of "increasing aggression", while the truth is that all China-watchers know they are the same statements they have issued for decades, often in virtually the same words.
The media is pushing exaggerations and misinformation about the "death of Hong Kong", the "genocide of Xinjiang", the "imminent invasion of Australia" and so on.
Asia as centre of the world
Why are the Western powers doing this? They certainly want to destabilise China and set the country’s development and positioning in the world back a few decades. But that’s just part of a larger goal. They feel the need to do this primarily because the Western powers have recognized that Asia will soon be the centre of global economic power.
Nothing will stop that happening.
This means that time is running out to ensure that Asia is dominated and controlled by America and its allies on the other side of the world, instead of by Asians themselves, working together as neighbours.
Furthermore, the outgoing world leaders need the incoming powers to know their place in the "International Rules-Based Order" under the stewardship of the drafters of these rules. Western liberal democracy must retain its primacy, and Asia’s consultative democracies dismissed as "autocracies", or "authoritarian"/"totalitarian" regimes.
Preparing the world
The media has been preparing the world for the conflict for years. America’s hawks put huge sums of time and money into financing dissent in Asia and partnering with the Western media to create the impression that the people of Hong Kong, Xinjiang, Tibet and Taiwan, want independence from mainland China — although surveys overwhelmingly show that this is the opposite of the truth.
But these imaginary "cries for independence" are necessary for the next stage in the process: the pushing of China into what can only be described as a deluded and limited war over Taiwan; one aim being to attain the larger objectives of undermining both China and ASEAN.
The war or "coming conflict" with China has been discussed in multiple forums and publications, not least of which is a new book by Elbridge Colby, one of the writers of the US National Defense Strategy. It argues that escalating Taiwan tensions into a conflict gives America a chance at winning, unlike a Cold War arms race.
Arms race won’t work
An arms race would eventually be won by China, which is on its way to being richer and stronger than America, Colby points out. And "the economic costs could be crippling, seriously stressing the US economy, the ultimate source of America’s military strength."
Instead, the US can push China into a limited conflict over Taiwan, with the media painting China as the bully and the US as the white knight. Done right, the skirmish would unite the rest of the world’s countries against China and on to the American side.
Partners in the media have already accomplished a lot of this work by painting Xinjiang and Hong Kong as places wrecked by China, and suggesting they are filled with Betsy-waving populations desperate for a United States model of governance.
This strategy is receiving significant interest and or support from other US hawks.
"China must be provoked into initiating any escalation of the conflict, so that it will always appear the aggressor," writes defence journalist Aris Roussinos, summarising the Colby strategy.
People will die
But won’t there be Taiwanese casualties? Yes. China "must be permitted to strike as indiscriminately as possible," in this scenario. "Colby further urges the US not to provide potential civilian targets with air defences, reasoning that collateral damage will whip up the public anger against China necessary to winning a war," Roussinos adds.
In other words, deaths of Taiwan citizens (the "collateral damage" he mentions) would be a public relations coup for the US side.
"Forcing China to escalate could be in our [US] interests," Roussinos points out. (One wonders if this scenario has received attention from the walking elements of "collateral damage" in Taiwan.)
Trump’s defence strategist
Although Colby’s book, The Strategy of Denial, has just been published, it’s clear that the thinking behind it has been circulating in US administration clusters for some years. Colby was a key writer of Donald Trump’s national defence strategy in 2018.
This approach, when originally written, recommended pulling American allies like Japan and India into the US team to contain China, and to sign up Australia too, as well as Vietnam and other neighbours.
Clearly we can see concerted action on all these fronts this year.
Salami slicing
While the Western media portrays China as the aggressor, people with a deeper understanding of international affairs can see what’s really happening over Taiwan.
"The US has placed tripwires in the form of deployment of special forces, obfuscating the ’red line’," said commentator M. K. Bhadrakumar, a former Indian diplomat.
The long string of US provocations are a "salami slicing" strategy, some observers say. "Salami tactics are an appealing option for expansionist actors like NATO, which pursues limited and repetitive expansions to gradually create new realities on the ground," argues Glenn Diesen, professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway.
"Such tactics avoid rapid escalation and mute opposition from adversaries and allies alike, as complaints can be ridiculed and the response from opponents denounced as disproportionate."
Warmongering?
One could easily argue that this type of strategy could be construed as a right-wing, warmongering plan.
That’s certainly true, and there are many echoes of the self-righteous militaristic strutting that led to lengthy disasters of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan—the surviving victims of which are still suffering today.
The frightening thing is that the present attempt to goad China into war has bi-partisan support in the world’s wealthiest, most powerful country.

I once attended a big conference at the Ex-Im Bank. The featured lunch speaker was from the PRC. He acknowledged that US concerns with Chinese intellectual piracy were partly valid.
Then he said,
"China will solve this problem but it will take time since we don't want to violate the privacy rights of our citizens."
I broke up laughing but was the only one who did (several hundred in the audience) and several people looked at me in disapproval. The Chinese speaker got a standing applause when he finished his remarks.
Anyway, it shows how naive people in the USA were (and probably still are) on China issues.

Texas Instruments had the patent on the integrate circuit. It took the Japanese several decades later to recognize it [long after Sony, Toshiba, et al made their money and place in the electronics market].
If there's a war, the US steps on China's oil supply from the Middle East. War over immediately. Ever seen "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome"? When Master Blaster turns the crank and cuts off the supply of meethane to Bartertown?

War can be unwinnable and still be something one plans for.
To get around the oil issue for example: (a) China might dominate markets in things many US stores depend on so those stores would pressure the government not to get involved in a war (b) might encourage other nations to shift manufacturing into China where it is cheap and where a war would cause total destabilization of western economies (c) Might allow enough trade and promises of a massive market to get greedier companies to push for peace whatever the cost to preserve their profits (and future profits) (d) Buy a large number of US politicians.
All of these things could be seen as ways to make the USA less likely to stand by Taiwan. That's not even getting into their military expansions.
That and the fact that China has actively threatened both the US and Taiwan for decades using generals and others to preserve deniability.

[REGNUM] Iraqi groups of radical Shia Muslims declared jihad on Turkey. Military bases, diplomatic missions and other Turkish facilities located on the territory of Iraq are being attacked. Shiite leaders accuse the Turkish military of killing Iraqi civilians and promise to transfer the war to Turkey in the near future. For Ankara, the opening of a “new partisan front” is a serious threat that could significantly change Turkish plans in the Middle East.
The actions of the Turkish army became the main subject of discussion in the Iraqi parliament in July 2022. After the Turkish army attacked the outskirts of the city of Zakho in the north of the country on July 21, a number of political figures demanded that the Iraqi authorities take measures against the Turkish military presence. Despite the fact that Ankara denies any involvement in the incident, Iraqi politicians are calling for an end to diplomatic and economic ties with Turkey.
However, while discussions and discussions are going on in the country's parliament, the radicals "on the streets" use popular discontent to their advantage. Demonstrators smash Turkish shops and picket diplomatic missions. In a number of Iraqi media, Turkish troops are referred to as the “Ottoman occupying army”, hinting at the imperial ambitions of the Turkish government, which wants to revive the Ottoman Empire. The protest gradually gains momentum and, as is often the case in Iraq, turns into a full-scale military confrontation.
A number of new armed groups appeared in Iraq, which declared jihad on Turkey and declared their readiness to transfer military operations to Turkish soil. The Saraya-aulia-l-Dam grouping launched several missile attacks on the bases of the Turkish army in northern Iraq. Another group, Saraya Ababil, launched several kamikaze drones at Turkish military bases, which led to losses in the ranks of the Turkish army.
It can be assumed that there are much more serious forces behind the groups that have declared jihad on Turkey. Earlier, Turkey's actions were condemned by the leaders of the Iraqi Shia Muslim militia "Hashd al-Shaabi" and supporters of the Mahdi Army organization. Both groups have solid experience in guerrilla operations, equipped with modern weapons, drones and missiles.
In all previous operations in the Middle East, Turkey has dealt with Kurdish guerrilla units that are capable of providing only patchy resistance. But the Hashd al-Shaabi organization, which has hundreds of thousands of fighters in its ranks, is a completely different enemy.
In the spring of 2022, the Turkish General Staff launched Operation Clenched Fist, aimed at eliminating the PKK bases in northern Iraq. The operation was partially successful as the Kurds suffered heavy casualties. However, now that not only the Kurds but also the Iraqi Shiite Arabs are opposed to the Turks, the situation is changing dramatically. Now Turkish military installations are becoming a target for shelling, the intensity of which will only increase.
Launch sites for missiles and drones are located deep in Iraqi territory, so Turkish troops cannot reach them. The use of the Air Force on the territory of Iraq can lead to an increase in anti-Turkish sentiment in the country and, accordingly, new rocket attacks.
The current situation leads the Turkish military and political leadership into a situation of "execution cannot be pardoned." Staying in Iraq is becoming extremely dangerous due to the sharply increasing losses in the ranks of the army. So, you need to either increase your military contingent, or leave. The first option is guaranteed to lead to an even greater increase in losses and increase tension in the region, and the second, in turn, will jeopardize Turkey's authority in the region.
Such an alignment will sooner or later force the Turkish leadership to turn to Iran for mediation, which can influence the Iraqi Shiite Muslims. However, for now, there is a feeling that the Iraqis are serious about a long-term guerrilla confrontation, in which they simply have no equal (since 2003, an almost uninterrupted war has been going on in the country).
Further events will show whether the Turkish army is the very “gendarme of the Middle East” that it wants to appear to be, or whether there are still other forces in the region that can act as an obstacle to the growth of Turkish influence.

Deputy head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev published a map of Europe on his telegram channel, on which most of the territory of present-day Ukraine belongs to other countries, including Russia, Poland and Romania - according to him, this is the future Western analysts expect.
I do not agree with Medvedev. Lutsk, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Vinnitsa and even a fifth of the Ternopil region (Kremenetsky district) - these were Russian cities. But Western Ukraine, the one that had been under the Austro-Hungarians for centuries ... Even Ukrainians did not consider them Ukrainians at all. I remember this from the stories of my grandmother, who was born in the former Kremenets district and lived for some time with the Galicians, first as part of Poland, and then as part of the Union.
Leaving Western Ukraine as part of Russia means getting an eternal headache. You can't re-educate Bandera. Let the Poles calm them down. Hungary and Poland have long been distributing their passports in the regions they need. By the way, Russia took an example from them and began to issue its own passports.
[NEWAGEBD.NET] Two activists who helped lead mass demonstrations that toppled Sri Lanka’s president were arrested on Wednesday, police said, as parliament extended tough emergency laws imposed to restore order.
Meanwhile, ...back at the Alamo, Davy was counting their remaining cannon balls and not liking the results... Singapore has extended a short-stay visa for Lanka’s deposed president Gotabaya Rajapaksa, local media in the city-state reported on Wednesday.
Rajapaksa fled his country on July 13, after his official residence was stormed by thousands of protesters who had demonstrated for months against the island nation’s painful economic crisis.
Rajapaksa’s 14-day visit pass has been extended, allowing him to stay until August 11, the Straits Times newspaper reported Wednesday.
The former president was allowed to enter Singapore on a ’private visit’ and did not seek asylum, authorities said previously.
Rajapaksa was forced to flee when tens of thousands of protesters, incensed by the island nation’s unprecedented economic crisis, stormed his residence in the capital Colombo.
He later flew to Singapore and tendered his resignation while his successor Ranil Wickremesinghe declared a state of emergency and vowed a tough line against ’trouble-makers’.
Police said in separate Wednesday statements that they had arrested activists Kusal Sandaruwan and Weranga Pushpika on unlawful assembly charges.
After Rajapaksa fled, Sandaruwan was seen in social media footage counting a large cache of banknotes found in the president’s home.

[REGNUM] The Russian Armed Forces have created and continue to provide two maritime humanitarian corridors for the safe movement of ships, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev , head of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation, said at a briefing on the evening of July 28 .
At the same time, “the threat to navigation and damage to port infrastructure from the drift of Ukrainian mines torn from anchor along the coast of the Black Sea states” still remains.
“The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have created the necessary conditions for the functioning of two maritime humanitarian corridors, which are safe lanes for the movement of ships:
in the Black Sea (daily from 08:00 to 19:00 (Moscow time) - to exit the ports of Kherson, Nikolaev, Chernomorsk, Ochakov, Odessa and Yuzhny in a south-westerly direction from the territorial sea of Ukraine with a length of 139 miles and a width of 3 miles;
in the Sea of Azov (round the clock) - to exit the port of Mariupol with a length of 115 miles and a width of 2 miles in the direction of the Black Sea.
Detailed information on the operation of the maritime humanitarian corridors is transmitted every 15 minutes via VHF radio communications on 14 and 16 international channels in English and Russian,” Mizintsev said.
[REGNUM] The inspection was ordered to be carried out by the chairman of the TFR, Alexander Bastrykin , after the appearance on the Internet of a video recorded by Russian sailors, the press service of the department reported on July 28.
“Russian sailors who are being held hostage in a Ukrainian port have recorded a video message asking them to return home,” the report says.
In their appeal, Russian citizens stated that they were sailing on the Volgo-Balt 225 ship, which was being repaired at the shipyard in the city of Izmail (Odessa region). This happened at the beginning of February.
After the start of the special operation of the RF Armed Forces in Ukraine, the sailors were actually locked up on the ship: armed people did not let them go to land. The head of the TFR instructed to conduct an audit and request the available information from the Russian Foreign Ministry.
[REGNUM] Dozens of foreign ships are still blocked in the seaports of Ukraine, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev , head of the National Center for Defense Control of the Russian Federation, said at a briefing on the evening of July 28.
He explained that "the Kyiv authorities continue to evade in every possible way from interaction with representatives of foreign states and ship-owning companies in resolving the issue of ensuring the safe exit of blocked ships to assembly areas."
"In six ports (Kherson, Nikolaev, Chernomorsk, Ochakov, Odessa and Yuzhny), 70 foreign ships from 16 states remain blocked. The threat of shelling and the high mine danger created by official Kiev do not allow ships to freely go to the open sea," Mikhail Mizintsev noted.

California and New York are the top two spots for Chinese buyers in the US, followed by Indiana and Florida, tied for third
Chinese buyers spent $6.1billion in the US on mainly primary residences (52 percent) and residential rentals (25 percent)
Florida has hit its 14 consecutive year as the number one spot overall for foreign buyers, which Governor Ron DeSantis, 43, called a 'huge problem'
Chinese buyers are being pushed out of other countries, like New Zealand and Australia for driving up housing prices
Many are doing so to avoid paying income taxes in their home country, it has been reported
Like New Zealand and Australia, DeSantis wants to impose foreign taxes on them to deter them from buying on US soil
'I don't think they should be able to do it. I think the problem is these companies have ties to the CCP, and it's not always apparent,' DeSantis said
A total of 6,100 properties in the US are owned by Chinese citizens and they spent an average of $470,600 for it.
More than 65 percent bought detached single-family homes. Ten percent bought condominiums and nine percent bought townhouses.
Overall, Canada was the second largest buyer at $5.5billion, followed by India at $3.6billion, followed by Mexico at $2.9billion, Brazil at $1.6billion, and Colombia at $1billion.
Foreign buyer purchases made up 4% of the $1.7 trillion existing-home sales last year, the NAR report noted.
Chinese investments in U.S. housing reflect in part a flight of capital from China in recent years, said Keys. “A big part of that was about wealthier Chinese citizens moving their money abroad to avoid taxes and to avoid scrutiny,” he added. In fact, China in 2016 experienced “the greatest episode of capital flight in history,” according to a Wall Street Journal report at the time.

Yeah, China heavily restricts anyone who's not Chinese from buying property in China. They can't have soaring prices because their own people have to buy homes.
Not so in America! The whole world can buy our properties without even setting foot on our soil! Then keep the property empty or with sky-high rent. They don't care if they don't get tenants. The choice is keep it in their country and lose it, or put it in US real estate.
But we need those houses to live in. Good thing the US government hates our guts and considers us an enemy! They won't lift a finger to help us. Billions for Ukraine but not one cent for Americans.

They have been doing this for years. They escape China for a variety of reasons. Locate where there are few Chinese to compete with. Long term they loose connection to homeland. Children will not go back. Mixed blood not welcomed. Well known in South Korea about aversions to mixed blood. Currently in China foreigners not welcomed. Major housing disaster occurring now. Those with the resources are escaping now as able.
[AMAC.US] Over the last several weeks, Chuck Schumer ...Senator-for-life from New York, renowned for his love of standing in front of cameras and microphones. Schumer has been a professional politician since 1975, when disco was in flower, which is 46.64426 years. Senate minority leader as of 2017... ’s on-again-off-again negotiations with Joe Manchin have become almost as entertaining as Baghdad Bob’s old news conferences. As voters increasingly express alarm and anger about skyrocketing inflation — caused in large part by unprecedented non-emergency spending under the Democrat Congress — Schumer has continued to call for even more spending, bizarrely insisting that pumping additional money into the economy will somehow solve the inflation crisis. During a floor speech last November, Schumer claimed that "if we want to fight inflation, if we want to create more jobs... the best thing we can do is to pass Build Back Better"—Democrats’ gargantuan socialist spending bill.
Inflation stood at 6.8% when Schumer made those comments. But even now, with inflation topping 9%, Schumer has refused to back down, and now looks to be close to a deal with West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin on a reconciliation bill that is sure to send inflation higher still. Part of this new proposal reportedly includes tax hikes on individuals and businesses — another deeply unpopular policy that is sure to advance the recession and leave Americans even worse off.
At the same time, Schumer seems wholly oblivious or in denial about the effect that the push for more big spending will have on Democrats’ chances of holding the Senate this November. Even as polls continue to show that inflation and rising prices are the top concern for most voters, Schumer has continued Democrats’ race to the left, forcing endangered incumbents like Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire, Catherine Cortez-Masto of Nevada, and Raphael Warnock of Georgia to take votes that worsen the problem. Despite Schumer’s best efforts to convince Americans to ignore reality when it comes to the root cause of inflation, even Democratic voters blame rising prices on their own party’s policies.
With just over three months to go until Election Day, it seems that Schumer is determined to stay the course, doubling and tripling down on assertions that are by now ridiculous to the vast majority of Americans. But come November 9, Schumer, much like Baghdad Bob, may suddenly find himself out of power and fleeing the capital, no longer able to deny his ever-more obvious failures.

[NYPOST] A former western New York politician who was a longtime ally of ex-Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo was slapped with jail time Thursday for bribing a state judge.
Ex-Chairman of the Erie County Democratic Committee Steven Pigeon, who pleaded guilty in 2018 to the corrupt scheme, was sentenced to one year in jail and ordered to pay a $5,000 fine.
Pigeon, 61, offered former State Supreme Court Justice John Michalek help in obtaining employment and political appointments for family members.
In exchange, Michalek, 71, gave Pigeon "non-public" or privileged information about cases pending before the court, authorities said.
Michalek, who pleaded guilty in 2016, was sentenced to one year and four months in jail and a $5,000 fine.
Pigeon’s bribes included helping two of Michalek’s family members get jobs and official appointments. Pigeon also helped Michalek get appointed to an appeals court, gave him box seats for Buffalo Sabres hockey games and gave his family a free ticket to a $1,000 fundraiser, authorities said.
In exchange, Pigeon would discuss numerous pending lawsuits that the judge was handling and would give input — including telling the judge which court-appointed attorney to assign to a receivership in one case. The judge also shared confidential information about cases with Pigeon.

[NYPOST] The notorious squeegee men are back to their bad old ways terrorizing Midtown motorists — and aggressively demanding money for their shoddy, unsolicited services.
The Post witnessed a crew of the wayward washers targeting vehicles at the congested West 40th Street and Ninth Avenue intersection on multiple occasions within the last week.
"Where are the cops? I mean, this is stressful enough, just driving in, that was like a shakedown!" New Jersey woman, who asked not to be named, said Tuesday just moments after a squeegee man suddenly approached her car.
"How is this OK? He just kept saying, ’I know you got some money! I know you got some money!'"
The panhandling window-washers approached several vehicles stopped at red lights — sudsing up windshields without warning and then harassing cash from the drivers.
In one instance, a squeegee man lifted up the wipers on a car with New Jersey plates and quickly sprayed soapy water across the windshield before the female driver even had a chance to say no.

[NYPOST] House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy ...the GOP house majority whip. He replaces Eric Cantor, who got whupped because his politix are like Kevin McCarthy's... ranted Thursday against the surprise spending deal between Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer ...Senator-for-life from New York, renowned for his love of standing in front of cameras and microphones. Schumer has been a professional politician since 1975, when disco was in flower, which is 46.64423 years. Senate minority leader as of 2017... (D-NY) — which doles out billions of dollars on pet Democratic issues despite being portrayed as a "slimmed-down" version of President Biden’s multi-trillion dollar Build Back Better bill.
"Was the worst inflation in 40 years not enough?" McCarthy asked on the House floor. "Are they trying to see how high they can get it?"
"They say they want to restore growth, but their new bill adds $700 billion in new taxes," the Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Republican added. "Do Democrats really believe spending hundreds of billions of tax dollars right now while pursuing and punishing productive investments in the long run will lower inflation?"
Schumer and Manchin say the bill would raise $739 billion through mechanisms including a 15% minimum tax on corporations’ publicly reported income, stepped-up enforcement by the IRS ...the Internal Revenue Service; that office of the United States government that collects taxes and persecutes the regime's political enemies... , and a tax on profits earned by general partners in private equity, venture capital firms, and hedge funds known as carried interest.
The bulk of the 725-page bill’s spending — approximately $369 billion of the $433 billion outlay — goes toward energy and climate issues, far lower than the $555 billion spend in the original $3.5 trillion Build Back Better package but enough to make it the largest climate bill passed by Congress if approved.
The bill includes tax credits for Americans who purchase electric vehicles, a favorite topic of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg ...the testicleless mayor of South Bend, Indiana, since 2012. Buttigieg graduated from Harvard College and, on a Rhodes Scholarship, from Pembroke College, Oxford. From 2007 to 2010, he worked at McKinsey and Company, a consulting firm. From 2009 to 2017 Buttigieg served as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve, attaining the rank of lieutenant and deploying to Afghanistan in 2014. Buttigieg was first elected mayor of South Bend in 2011 and was reelected in 2015. During his second term, he announced he was gay, which surprised no one. Buttigieg also campaigned for Indiana state treasurer in 2010 and for chair of the Democratic National Committee in 2017, losing both elections. He ran for the Dem nomination in 2020 on the theory that being mayor of a nondescript medium sized city is qualification to run the country. He lost that one too... and an issue near and dear to the heart of Jeff Ricchetti, a lobbyist whose clients include General Motors — and who is the brother of top White House adviser Steve Ricchetti.
"Democrats said they want to lower inflation, but you know what their new bill does?" McCarthy seethed. "Gives you a $7,500 tax credit to buy an $80,000 electric vehicle for people making up to $300,000."
The credit of $7,500 for new electric vehicles would be available to single Americans making fewer than $150,000 per year and married couples making fewer than $300,000 per year. Individuals making under $75,000 per year and couples earning under $150,000 per year would be eligible for the used electric vehicle rebate of $4,000.

When the IRS isn't even picking up the phones on the main number or the PPL (Practitioner Priority Line, 1-866-860-4259) line? I don't see stepped-up enforcement being a reality. I called on Wednesday at 11:30 AM and I just tried it again now and 'due to extremely high call volumes', they can't take call and it gets dropped. This means I can't get account / wage & income transcripts and the only way I can resolve shit is to write a letter to them, send it anywhere but their Kansas City facility and hope they don't throw it away like the 30 million pieces of mail they destroyed last year.
#4
Let me restate things, Glenmore, I don't see effective stepped-up enforcement. The IRS currently employs 78,000 people and as currently constructed they can't (won't) answer phone calls and wound up destroying all those tax returns & other letters rather than do their fucking jobs. Remember last year when the Biden dolts wanted to add another 80,000 people to do audits? How good do you think those people are going to be? They already have a workforce that in my professional opinion are largely untalented pieces of shit who I wouldn't let balance my checkbook, because they can't. Most of that audit effort will result in appeals, dragging the whole thing down.
If you want to believe stepped up enforcement being reality, I might be inclined to believe it, but not what I've seen from the green eyeshade division of the Keystone Kops.

[An Nahar] Israeli Energy Minister Karen Elharrar said Thursday that Israel is not negotiating with Hezbollah chief Sayyed His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah ...The satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb... over sea border demarcation with Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
"We are conducting those negotiations through U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein," Elharrar said in a radio interview, hoping an agreement will be reached between Israel and Lebanon.
Baabda sources meamwhile told OTV that the presidential palace is "waiting to hear what U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein will carry regarding Israel's stance."
"The general impression is that there is a desire to activate the sea border demarcation file and finalize it before September," the sources added.
Sources close to Speaker Nabih Knobby Berri ...Speaker of the Lebanese parliament, head of the Amal Shiite party aligned with Hezbollah, a not very subtle sock puppet of the Medes and Persians... also said that "there are positive indications that have been informed to the relevant officials."
"But we have to wait," the sources added.

70 tons x 2,000lbs per ton = 140,000 pounds x 900 tanks = 126,000,000 pounds of scrap metal.

Ukraine has, per its records, knocked out about twice as many tanks as JJ notes.
Also, tanks are only one type of armored vehicle. For every tank knocked out, Ukraine says they've gotten 2 other armored vehicles, typically troop carriers and about 2 trucks or tankers.

[LB] The combat, numerical composition and nature of actions of the enemy group remain without significant changes.
by Iryna Gamalii
The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on establishing full control over the territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, maintaining the captured districts of Kherson and parts of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, and Mykolaiv regions.
This was announced on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of the 155th day of the heroic resistance of Ukrainians to the Russian military invasion.
The enemy is trying to create favorable conditions for resuming the offensive in certain directions, as well as blocking Ukraine's maritime communications in the Black Sea.
The enemy continues to carry out air and missile strikes, in particular from the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
On the Volyn and Poliske directions , the engineering equipment of the positions of units that arrived for rotation is fixed. In order to clarify the positions of our troops, expose the air defense system and control the camouflage of their units, the conduct of aerial reconnaissance by UAVs is noted.
According to available information, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation is intensifying counter-intelligence measures in the areas bordering Ukraine in the Siver region. The enemy carried out artillery fire near Mykolaivka in the Chernihiv region and Tovstodubovo and Ryasny in the Sumy region.
In the Kharkiv direction , artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of Kharkiv, Dementiivka, Mospanove, Sosnivka, Udy, Cherkassy Tyshki, Stary Saltiv, Tsirkuny, Protopivka, Zolochiv, Ruski Tyshki, Petrivka, Pryshyb, Prudyanka and Kalinovka settlements. The enemy launched an airstrike near Rusky Tyshki. In order to clarify the position of our troops and adjust the fire, the BpLA conducted aerial reconnaissance.
In the Slavyansk direction , with the aim of finding weak points in the defense of our units, the occupiers conducted assaults in the Dovgenke - Mazanivka and Pasika - Dolyna directions, without success. Artillery shelling was observed in the areas of Andriivka, Nortsivka, Bogorodichne, Chepil, Velyka Komyshuvaha, Petrivske and Husarivka settlements.
The enemy did not conduct active operations in the Kramatorsk direction . He shelled the districts of Zakitny, Verkhnyokamyansky and Tetyanivka with artillery. Made an airstrike near Serebryanka.
On the Bakhmut direction, the enemy is trying to improve the tactical position, but our soldiers repelled the assaults on the Klynove - Bakhmut and Myronivskyi - Semihirya directions and forced the invaders to retreat. The enemy has partial success in the direction of Vidrodzhennya - Vershina, and is entrenched southeast of the settlement of Vershina. The attempt to advance in the directions Volodymyrivka – Soledar and Streapivka – Soledar ended in failure for the occupiers.
The enemy carried out artillery shelling in the areas of the settlements of Bilogorivka, Mykolaivka, Nova Kamianka, Vesela Dolyna, Kodema, Semihirya and New York. Airstrikes near Yakovlivka, Pokrovsky and Soledar.
The enemy did not conduct active operations in the Avdiyiv, Novopavliv, and Zaporizhzhya directions . In order to strengthen the grouping of troops in the Zaporizhzhia direction, additional units are being transferred.
Artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of the settlements of Vremivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novokalynove, Opytne, Stepnohirsk, Biloghirya, Volodymyrivka, Velyka Novosilka, Mykilske, Malynivka and Pervomaiske. The occupiers used aviation near Avdiyivka, Maryinka, Pavlivka, Kamiansky and Maly Shcherbaki.
In the South Buz direction , the enemy is concentrating its efforts on holding the occupied lines and returning lost positions in the Kryvorizka direction.
In the waters of the Black Sea, outside the base points, there are three carriers of sea-based cruise missiles of the "Kalibr" type.
In order to constrain our actions, the enemy is shelling the areas of Trudolyubivka, Potemkyny, Posad-Pokrovsky, Andriyivka, Blagodatny, Ternivka, Chervonaya Dolyna, Prybuzky, and Luparevo from barrel artillery, rocket salvo systems, and tanks. Made an airstrike near Novopetrivka.
Ukrainian soldiers repulsed the assault in the direction of Bruskinske - Biloghirka. The occupiers suffered losses and withdrew.
It will be recalled that the German government approved the sale of 100 Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery howitzers to Ukraine. On July 13, the German arms manufacturer Krauss-Maffei Wegmann received a license from the Ministry of Economy of the Federal Republic of Germany for the production of artillery installations. The company also confirmed information about the agreement on the sale of weapons.

Russians are well organized. They refresh troops daily. August should clearly demonstrate how massive the Russian efforts are. Ukrainians are losing large numbers of solders daily. Tired and worn no fresh faces here to oppose. Volodymyr dandy and wife play to the various media. We will see then in endless reruns of Western medias.

^ Major problem with our western media. Ukraine now enlisting teenagers for war efforts. Just looking over YouTube extreme bias exposed. I am told to review Indian media for best coverage. Sky news has been good but today I will review India news programing for balance.
Most people I have talked to just don't bother to watch or listen to news these days. The Swamp Biden programing I suspect.

Dunno about your sources Dale, but the impression I get is that Russians are not able to seize any more territory and Ukrainians are not able to push the Russians back. IOW, although the death and destruction continues, this war has degenerated into a stalemate and it's about damn time to stop it. Too bad we have no one on the international stage of sufficient stature to grab both sides by the nape of the neck, bash their heads together and insist on some serious negotiations. Such a person would certainly be in line for a Nobel Peace Prize, kinda like Jimmy Carter who managed to broker peace between Israel and Egypt. Too bad Brandon is more of a belligerent himself. He doesn't even measure up to jimmuh.

The vaccine business for example. Same media. Now September vaccine formulated boosters.Hide anti vaccine news and hide war news same thing going on. The only sane approach is question everything. Being a gleaner, I simply gather information. Many simply ignore. I present ideas and ponder. This site allows a balanced exchange. I applaud their efforts. I must admit a higher caliber of talent than my own.(My moment of weakness, brief as it is).
Expect to see that headline often in the coming days. The Ukrainians are fighting from well prepared positions - fortifications, trenches and tunnels - created for the last war. The Russians could do a human wave assault which would thrill the media but would incur insane casualties.
Instead, the Russian tactical playbook looks like this:
1) Advance to fix the enemy in place
2) Use artillery to reduce the enemy and cut supply lines. Lots of artillery. Small probing attacks take the temperature and continually harass the enemy. See "Russians fail several assaults" headlines
3) More artillery. Without supply, the enemy either withdraws or is overrun when one of those "failed attacks" suddenly works.
4) Wash, rinse, repeat.
tl;dr: The Russians advance like bankruptcy - slowly at first, then all at once.

[NPASYRIA] The visit of the leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... (HTS, formerly al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ... Front) to Christian villages in Jisr al-Shughour countryside, and before that to Jabal al-Summaq of Druze majority in the northwestern countryside of Idlib, northwest Syria, contradicts the policy pursued by the HTS towards the two sects.
Recently, the HTS leader, Abu Muhammad al-Julani, has revealed that he seeks to form a "Sunni project", after his successive appearance in civilian clothes in many public occasions.
Since the beginning of this year, al-Julani has recorded 15 public appearances in non-military clothes in his areas of control in northwest Syria on different occasions, the first of which was at the inauguration of Aleppo-Bab al-Hawa highway, and the last of which was his visit to IDPs camps north of Idlib.
He also visited Deir Hassan camps and one of the HTS camps, and reviewed in Ariha the achievements of the HTS, as well as he visited the Druze-dominated villages of Jabal al-Summaq.
Observers and politicians believe that by appearing as a moderate person, al-Julani tries to show himself as a civilian figure who can control the region and assume a role in the Syrian government.
Previous North Press reports indicated that the villages of Jabal al-Summaq (Jabal al-Druze) are marginalized and lack the basic services such as schools, medical posts, and civil institutions unlike other areas, which the residents described as deliberate.
Jabal al-Summaq includes the villages of Qalb Loze, Banabil, Bashandalenti, Kafr Kila, Kafr Maris, Helleh, Talteta, KuKu, Bshendlaya. All are populated with more than 15,000 residents, the majority of whom are Druze, and it is administratively part of Harem region, north of Idlib.
Most of the hard-line factions, since their takeover of Idlib regions in 2015, led by HTS, have followed a restricting policy against the Christian community, not to mention confiscating their property and homes, closing their churches and preventing them from practicing their religious rituals.
Two days ago, al-Julani’s visit to Christian villages in Jisr al-Shughur area, southwest of Idlib, provoked widespread controversy among the anti-HTS bad boy circles, who viewed the visit as a clear challenge to the bad boy movement whose voices began to rise within HTS and threaten it internally.

[USNI News] At least 10 Navy helicopters were damaged in a sudden storm that blew through Norfolk Naval Station, Va., Tuesday afternoon, USNI News has learned. Don't they tie these things down?
According to a Navy initial assessment reviewed by USNI News, the storm resulted in 10 Class A ground mishaps — mishaps that result in more than $2.5 million in damage or the total loss of the aircraft.
"The Navy is continuing to assess the full extent of the damages to each airframe, but there are no impacts to operational forces as a result of this incident," Cmdr. Rob Myers with Naval Air Forces Atlantic told USNI News in a statement.
"Known damages to the aircraft span from broken tail and rotor blades to structural dents and punctures in the airframes. No personnel were injured during the storm."
The helicopters damaged were five MH-60S Knight Hawks, one MH-60R Sea Hawk and four MH-53E Sea Dragon mine countermeasures helicopters, according to the assessment.
The Navy has about 30 of the mine hunting Sea Dragons in its inventory, according to the most recent data from Naval Air Systems Command. The service has delayed retiring aging helicopters as the Navy has been slow to develop a new airborne mine-hunting platform.
At least four of the multi-million-dollar helicopters — one MH-53E and three MH-60s — were blown over by the wind, according to images of the damage circulating on social media.

The woke morons won't tie their planes down because it's racist to enslave the planes.

...The birds were on the ramp at Norfolk; they aren't normally tied down while ashore - in fact, I don't think you can tie them down ashore. The idea is that the weather guys give you enough warning that you can get the birds under some kind of cover or fly them out.
Clearly that didn't happen here, and that may unfortunately come under the heading of 'one of those things'.

Nothing compared to having a tornado rip through an Air Force base.

My understanding is there was an order given to tie down the aircraft, and the winds started flipping them 12 minutes later. Plus, during an active thunderstorm, they're required to call personell in to avoid lightning hazards.
So the guys with the tie down chains are standing in the hangar videoing the birds flipping. Which is where the pictures came from.

[NPASYRIA] Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Thursday that a Ottoman Turkish drone targeted the Asayish in the town of Ain Issa, 50 km north of Raqqa Governorate, north Syria, claiming the lives of four members.
The Asayish said, in a statement on their official website, "This morning, a Ottoman Turkish drone targeted our forces in Ain Issa in the line of duty."
Two Asayish members were martyred and others were maimed, according to initial toll.
Two hours later, the Asayish posted another statement, saying, "Four members of our forces were martyred as a result of the bombing of the Ottoman Turkish drone in Ain Issa."
The Asayish are civilian forces responsible for maintaining internal security in cities and towns of northeastern Syria.
"The targeting resulted in the martyrdom of Bashar Muhammad Ali Bozan, Jihan Muhammad Mustafa, Sarah Muhammad al-Hussein and Salma Ali Mustafa" the statement read.
Lately, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... has escalated its attacks on areas in north and northeast Syria, using artillery and drones following Tehran Summit, in which Turkey failed to obtain a green light by Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... and Russia to invade the region.
Turkey’s President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important... has recently announced plans to carry out another major military cross-border incursion into northern Syria. Erdogan specified his targets in the two northern Syrian cities of Manbij and Tel Rifaat.
On July 1, Erdogan said that Ankara’s new military operation in northern Syria could begin at any moment.
"The time has come to clear these lands from the terrorist organizations," Erdogan threatened during Tehran Summit.
Tehran Summit, on July 19, brought together presidents of each of Iran, Russia and Turkey with the Syrian issue and Ottoman Turkish threats on the top of its agenda.

[KRQE] Oklahoma-based tribes say followed rules on Freedmen rights
Leaders and representatives of five Oklahoma-based tribes on Wednesday told a U.S. Senate committee that they have followed treaties and court rulings regarding the citizenship of Freedmen and that the federal government should respect their sovereignty.
Freedmen were the freed Black people enslaved by the Cherokee, Seminole, Choctaw, Muscogee (Creek) and Chickasaw nations. They were guaranteed the rights of citizens of the tribes under separate 1866 treaties with the United States.
That happened in the territory that became Oklahoma and not the rest of the slaveholding South because the U.S. government enforced stricter terms on Native American nations with slave-owners, and fully or partially joined with the Confederacy during the Civil War.
“History does not bode well in terms of efforts by the United States to impose its values,” on Native American tribes, Muscogee (Creek) Nation Ambassador Jonodev Chaudhuri told members of Senate Committee on Indian Affairs in Washington, D.C. The testimony comes amid an ongoing reckoning over a history of racism in the U.S.
California U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, a Democrat, told the committee that Freedman have been denied services intended for tribal citizens, including housing assistance, COVID-19 vaccinations and federal stimulus funding, because some tribes do not include them as members.
“We must stand by the rights promised to Freedmen in the treaties that guaranteed those rights over a century ago,” Waters said.
Choctaw Nation attorney Michael Burrage said the nation does not recognize Freedmen as citizens, citing the Choctaw constitution that was adopted under a federal court order in 1983.
“We think the Choctaw Nation as a sovereign entity should be able to determine its memberships,” Burrage said. “Tribal membership is based on blood,” referring to the Certificate Degree of Indian Blood, or CDIB.
But Seminole Nation Assistant Chief Brian Thomas Palmer said the nation has recognized the right of Freedmen to become citizens since 1866.
“This short testimony to discuss select provisions (of the treaty) is a disservice to the Seminole and warrants a deeper conversation,” Palmer said.
In prepared comments to the committee, Palmer and Seminole Nation Chief Lewis Johnson said the tribe does not offer healthcare, life insurance, or the COVID-19 vaccine to tribal members because of a lack of funding. They said federal funding eligibility is determined by the funding agency, such as the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
BIA Assistant Secretary Bryan Newland told the committee that the bureau relies on the tribes to determine tribal citizenship.
Among the tribes, only the Cherokee Nation has met its obligations regarding Freedmen citizenship, which came following a federal court ruling in 2017, Newland said.
Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. said the tribe chose not to appeal the ruling because of its own actions regarding the Freedmen, including denying them the right to vote in tribal elections.
“The enslavement of other human beings and the subsequent denial to them and their descendants of their basic rights is a stain on the Cherokee Nation, and it’s a stain that must be lifted,” Hoskin said.
“Mr. Chairman, I offer an apology on behalf of the Cherokee Nation for these actions,” Hoskin told committee Chair Sen. Brian Schatz, a Democrat, of Hawaii.
Marilynn Vann, a Freedmen descendant and president of The Descendants of Freedmen of the Fives Tribes Association, called for congressional action to provide the descendants with funds from future appropriations to tribes, require the Interior Department register Freedmen descendants and to hold committee field hearings in Oklahoma to allow other descendants to attend.
Schatz said the goal of the committee is to “start a respectful dialogue … and to educate the committee and the public” about the removal of Native Americans from their native lands in the southeastern U.S. and enslavement of Black people in the U.S. He did not describe the next steps.

Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished... said his country was ’ready to mobilise’ its nuclear deterrent in any future military clash with the United States and South Korea, state media said Thursday.
Washington and Seoul have repeatedly warned that Pyongyang is preparing to carry out its seventh nuclear test — a move that the United States has warned would provoke a ’swift and forceful’ response.
In Kim’s latest speech to mark the armistice that ended fighting in the Korean War — known as ’Victory Day’ in the North — he said the country’s armed forces were ’thoroughly prepared’ for any crisis.
’Our country’s nuclear war deterrent is also ready to mobilise its absolute power faithfully, accurately and promptly in accordance with its mission,’ Kim said in a speech on Wednesday, according to Pyongyang’s official Korean Central News Agency.
Speaking to war veterans on the 69th anniversary of the end of the 1950-53 Korean War, Kim emphasised the country’s ’thorough readiness’ to ’deal with any military clash with the United States’.
His latest threats come as South Korea and the United States move to ramp up joint military exercises, which have always infuriated the North as Pyongyang considers them rehearsals for invasion.

[NYPOST] Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has requested the National Guard step in to help handle the arrival of thousands of migrants colonists from the US-Mexico border, saying the nation’s capital has reached a "tipping point."
In a July 19 request for assistance to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Bowser reported that "over 4,000 individuals arriving on nearly 200 buses" have come to DC since April, when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too... and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey pledged to put migrants colonists on charter buses to protest the Biden administration’s immigration policies.
"Our collective response and service efforts have now become overwhelmed," Bowser wrote.
"[O]ur homeless services system is already under great strain; and tragically, many families arrive in Washington, DC with nowhere to go, or they remain in limbo seeking onward destinations across the United States.
"With pledges from Texas and Arizona to continue these abhorrent operations indefinitely, the situation is dire," the mayor added, "and we consider this a humanitarian crisis — one that could overwhelm our social support network without immediate and sustained federal intervention."

It is, but you're just supposed to say that, not actually be one. Just like how you're supposed to care about the homeless but not actually allow people to fix the problem.
This punishment was supposed to fall on Texas and Arizona for failing to vote for Democrats. But now they've turned the tables and are putting the hurt on DC instead? Unfair! Abhorrent operations! You're not supposed to punish us, we're supposed to punish YOU!

[NEWAGEBD.NET] Kurdish-affiliated authorities said on Thursday they had found the remains of almost 30 bodies in a mass grave in northern Syria, with a war monitor saying they were likely killed by jihadists.
’At least 29 bodies, including those of a woman and two children, have been found in a mass grave,’ near a hotel in Manbij, said an official of the Kurdish-affiliated Manbij civilian council..
The jihadist Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group had turned the hotel in a prison when it ruled the northern city between 2014 and 2016.
The mass grave was unearthed on Wednesday by municipal workers who were doing work on the sewerage system, according to the Manbij military council.
Some of the decomposed remains were found handcuffed and blindfolded, it said.
The military council said it was unclear when they were killed, but that it was during IS rule of Manbij.
The Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said the remains are believed to belong to people kidnapped by IS fighters.
US-backed Kurdish-led forces took control of Manbij in 2016, after ousting the jihadists from the city.
Dozens of mass graves have been found in Iraq and Syria but the identification process is slow, costly and complicated.
IS seized large swathes of Iraq and Syrian territory in 2014, declaring a ’caliphate’ and killing thousands before they were detained.
One of the biggest alleged IS mass graves contained 200 bodies and was discovered in 2019 near Raqa, the group’s former de-facto capital in Syria.
Rights groups have repeatedly called on Kurdish authorities and the Syrian government to investigate the fate of thousands who went missing during IS rule.
The missing include British news hound John Cantlie and Italian Jesuit priest Paolo Dall’Oglio.

Where are the graves of the hundreds or more who have perished attempting to get across our Southern border ?
Old photos show the couple wearing KGB uniforms, a former Soviet spy agency
Their lawyer said they tried the same jacket on as a 'joke' and posed for photos
'She wants everyone to know she's not a spy,' attorney Kau said about her client
Hawaii, a major military center, is a 'prime target' for espionage, prosecutors say
Walter Glenn Primrose and Gwynn Darle Morrison, both in their 60s, allegedly lived for decades under the names Bobby Edward Fort and Julie Lyn Montague - the stolen names of infants who died decades ago - according to federal court records unsealed in Honolulu.
The couple face charges of aggravated identity theft, conspiracy to commit an offense against the US and false statement in an application for a passport after they were arrested Friday in Kapolei on the island of Oahu.
Prosecutors are seeking to have the couple held without bail, which could indicate the case is about more than fraudulently obtaining drivers' licenses, passports and Defense Department credentials.
Those documents helped Primrose get secret security clearance with the US Coast Guard and as a defense contractor and old photos show the couple wearing uniforms of the KGB, the former Russian spy agency, Assistant US Attorney Thomas Muehleck said in court papers.
Faded Polaroids of each in uniform were included in the motion to have them held.
A 'close associate' said Morrison lived in Romania while it was a Soviet bloc country, Muehleck said.
Morrison's attorney said her client never lived in Romania and that she and Primrose tried the same jacket on as a joke and posed for photos in it.
Prosecutors said there is a high risk the couple would flee if freed. They also suggested that Primrose, who was an avionics electrical technician in the Coast Guard, was highly skilled to communicate secretly if released.
The couple is also believed to have other aliases, Muehleck said.
Primrose and Morrison were born in 1955 and they attended high school together in Port Lavaca, Texas, and then went to Stephen F. Austin University, according to court records. They married in 1980.
There is no indication in court papers why the couple in 1987 assumed the identities of deceased children who would have been more than a decade younger than them.
But an affidavit filed by Special Agent Dennis Thomas of the State Department's Diplomatic Security Service noted that the couple lost their home in Nacogdoches, Texas, to foreclosure that year.
They remarried under their assumed names in 1988, Thomas said.
Court records don't provide any information about what happened from the time they assumed their new identities until 1994, when Primrose, then about 39, enlisted in the Coast Guard as Fort, who would have been about 27.
Primrose and Morrison applied for and received multiple passports under their assumed names, according to court records.
But in 1999 Primrose also applied for and was issued a passport under his legal name while also holding a passport in Fort's name.
Primrose was in the service until 2016, when he began work for an unnamed defense contractor at the US Coast Guard Air station at Barbers Point.
'While he held that secret clearance with the US Coast Guard, defendant Primrose was required to report any foreign travel,' prosecutors wrote.
'Investigation has revealed that defendant Primrose did not report several trips to Canada while he did report other foreign travel.'

...The 'dead baby' identity scam used to be a comparatively simple and easy way to create a new identity.
See, up until 9/11, birth certificates and death certificates were rarely, if ever, cross-indexed, and you needed no ID to get hold of either one. What you did was go to the local cemetery, and find the grave of some poor soul born about the same time as you who didn't make it much past their very early years (The giant cemetery immediately behind my office in Akron had a couple acres horrifyingly named 'Babyland'). You go request the BC for a couple bucks, and you're off. Until IIRC the late 80s, you didn't get a SSAN at birth, so it was more than likely you could get a completely legal SSN with that BC. Once you had the SSN you could get a driver's license, and that was the Holy Trinity needed to start a new identity.

That was a fun moment, thanks.
"The major media leave the dirty work of debunking to fact-checking sites, most notoriously Snopes.com. In an analysis that has been updated through 2016, Snopes leads with this accusation, “Barack Obama appropriated the Social Security number of a dead man born in 1890 and used it as his own.” In large red letters, Snopes rejects the accusation as “FALSE.”
This approach is classic Snopes. Its editors elaborate this bizarre story about a Frenchman named Jean Paul Ludwig who dies in Hawaii and whose SSN is appropriated by Obama’s grandmother. They then reject this particular story as false — as Daniel and others had already done — and ignore the larger truth. That truth, as Snopes admits in the fine print, is that Obama’s SSN, 042-68-4425, is “something of a curiosity.” "
Daniel believes that the number is more than a curiosity. She believes the number was stolen. When Obama applied, numbers were assigned based on where the applicant received mail. As Daniel notes, and Snopes grudgingly concedes, numbers starting with 042 were for the exclusive use of those applying from Connecticut. Obama’s half-sister Maya, by contrast, has an SSN that starts with 576, as do other Hawaiians her age."

According to Reuters, after the 1986 accident, Chernobyl employees were recruited into KGB agents. 08:56 British intelligence reports that the counteroffensive of Ukraine in the Kherson region is gaining momentum. Ukrainian forces have most likely established a foothold south of the Ingulets River, which forms the northern border of Russian-occupied territory.
Ukraine has used its new long-range artillery to damage at least three bridges across the Dnieper River, on which Russian supplies to the occupied territories depend. Thus, the Antonovsky bridge near Kherson was damaged last week, and after the second strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 27, it is very likely now unusable.
British analysts also note that the 49th Army of the Russian Federation is deployed on the western bank of the Dnieper and now "looks very vulnerable." Kherson is now practically cut off from other occupied territories, intelligence reports.
08:52 In the Donetsk region, as a result of hostilities over the past day, five civilians were killed - two in Avdiivka, one each in New York, Bakhmut and Soledar. Eight more people were injured, Pavel Kirilenko, head of the OVA, said.
08:44 The head of the Lugansk OVA, Sergei Gaidai, said that the Russian army was once again stopped between Belogorovka and Verkhnekamensky. According to him, the Russians are pressing from all sides of the front to break into the major cities of the Donetsk region, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine have so far managed to contain the attacks.
08:41 Zelensky congratulated Ukrainians on Statehood Day:
08:30 The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believes that the Russians can probably only carry out two significant offensive operations in Ukraine - on Seversk and Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. These operations have been offensively focused since the end of the operational pause on 16 July.
Analysts note that the Russians have committed sufficient resources to carry out near-daily ground attacks and capture territory along these two fronts, but have not been able to maintain the same pace of advance or achieve similar territorial gains elsewhere in Ukraine. Thus, the Russian offensive is likely to culminate before it captures other major urban areas in Ukraine.

I read a lot of blogs and conservative website/news sites every day, a morning pattern developed over the past few years of retired living. I spend a lot of time reading the blog commentary on subjects of interest to me, but fairly broadly based. My sense is that most of those commenting are right of center to some degree, and most are traditional American citizens, usually middle class. The anger is palpable, and the tone is growing very emotional. This is unlike anything I have seen before, far more troubled and despairing, even from mere months ago. But the most fundamental undercurrent is the loss of any trust in the federal government to do what is right for the citizens, but instead what serves special groups, ideologies and foreign interests.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:
[ColonelCassad] On the combat experience of the use of BMPT "Terminator" in the NWO in Ukraine. For these machines, this is the first serious war. BMPT is a crewed vehicle, and apparently the only nexus to autonomous combat vehicles is the name.
They were actively used in the battles for Kamyshevakha, Severodonetsk.
Despite the attractiveness of the concept of this combat vehicle (I am completely silent about the appearance) - and this is tank escort and the destruction of anti-tank weapons - the BMPT is a rather problematic vehicle, and the main "nuances" lie in completely different planes than performance characteristics and combat capabilities.
As far as I know, the role and place of the BMPT is still not clearly defined, and there are no units in the typical OShS.
"Terminator" is not just a new tank or infantry fighting vehicle to replace the old ones, but a fundamentally new vehicle, while it is not capable of replacing any of them. Logically, it should become part of the tank units, but on what rights.
There is no system for training crew members (except for the driver), and this is especially true for command positions, as the BMPT is designed to implement new tactics that require a very high level of interaction.
There is no understanding of the required logistics and how to integrate it even into the supply system that is infinitely far from ideal.
It seems to me that the squabble between the representatives of Uravlagonzavod (Longtime Russian tank factory in the Urals region)
(the car is Agon, there are no analogues!) And the Moscow Region (but where to put it ?!) would last forever, while the Terminators, meanwhile, would slowly but surely be purchased by different African countries, but The Russian military made its own adjustments and the experimental batch of cars had to prove in practice how much Wall-e had matured ...
Further I quote:
"The vehicle has proven itself worthy.
Firstly, I would like to note the high security - the front armor withstood four hits from a tank gun with a cumulative projectile and the crew escaped with only a slight fright.
All used machines are equipped with an effective KAZ, which is better to keep on semi-automatic, in view of the smart-assed enemy, who in some places, but comes across.
Secondly, the weapon system allows you to successfully solve a wide variety of tasks.
The grenade launcher (AGS-17) has proven itself very well - a large BC allows you to literally mow down enemy positions.
The Ataka ATGM is powerful and hits everything from enemy armor to pillboxes or small buildings. The Ataka ATGM (AT-9)is most commonly used in Russian military aviation.
But here the features begin - there are only four ATGMs and there are nuances for their use in certain conditions (for example, high dustiness) due to the implemented control system.
The main disadvantage is 30, since the skew of the tape, and it happens, can only be eliminated by leaving the car.
But despite this, the crews are satisfied with the vehicle."(c).
In my opinion, the main advantage of the BMPT is not the weapon system at all (although it immediately catches the eye), but armor protection comparable to tanks, which allows them to act together, in the same battle formations. The BMPT's chassis is a T-72 hull.
As for the conclusions about the solvency of the "Terminator", which is for "fuck it, I like it" - they are quite enough, therefore, wangyu, that the number of relevant IKSperts from now on will increase dramatically. Rozhin means when the vehicle gets deployed in serious numbers, the the number of "couch soldiers" commenting on the Russian war also will increase.
Kindly note that several entries in this article were removed because they included discussions of the grand strategic level.
[NewsFrontInfo] 13:40 To the question that the Russian Federation refused denazification as one of the goals of the NWO.
"The Kremlin maintains the mood that it is necessary to liberate Ukraine in general from all kinds of manifestations of neo-Nazi sentiments ... And it is necessary to take measures that are actually taken in line with a special military operation in order to protect people in the LPR and DPR" - Peskov.
13:12 Peskov commented on Pushilin’s words that "the time has come to liberate Russian cities again" in Ukraine:
"The Kremlin supports the idea that it is necessary to liberate Ukraine in general from all kinds of manifestations of neo-Nazi sentiments ... And it is necessary to take measures that are actually taken in line with a special military operation in order to protect people in the LPR and DPR."
12:40 As a result of the strike of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the Kherson region, the battalion of the infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has completely lost its combat capability, more than 130 military men have been eliminated - the Russian Ministry of Defense.
10:40 The Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation during a special operation in Ukraine won dominance in the Azov Sea and established control over the northwestern part of the Black Sea, said Black Sea Fleet commander Igor Osipov.
08:25 A drunken SBU colonel in his shorts threatened with a patrol gun. The incident in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine was caught on camera. Only the regional department could pacify the raging colonel. A criminal case has been opened on the fact of exceeding official powers.
[WSB-TV2] ATLANTA — A U.S. Senate Committee investigation has uncovered that security and safety lapses at the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary are so bad, a government assessment called it a security risk for people across the southeast.
Whistleblowers who previously worked behind the walls at that federal prison in Atlanta testified under oath on Capitol Hill to the Senate Permanent Committee on Investigations. The committee is chaired by Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff.
"It is now a penitentiary in name only," the facility’s former chief psychologist, Erika Ramirez, testified.
Former jail administrator Terri Whitehead testified that Bureau of Prisons employees even had a nickname for the disfunction. They called it "the Atlanta Way."
"The Atlanta way is far from the norm and certainly not the U.S. Bureau of Prisons way," Whitehead said.
The committee’s investigation uncovered thousands of pages of internal records documenting mismanagement and wrongdoing at the facility in Southeast Atlanta dating back nine years.
Among the safety concerns identified, 800 contraband cell phones were confiscated in a 2021 sweep. In 2020, more than half of the surveillance cameras did not work. 142 of 253 cameras were down, and even the ones in operation were three hours off in recording time.
The investigation also uncovered that staff "intentionally damaged" the prison’s drug detection machine. It did not work for a year.
"This was a major ongoing failure that presented a risk not to just inmates and staff but the city of Atlanta, state of Georgia and the whole country," Ossoff told Channel 2 Investigative reporter Justin Gray.
For years, Channel 2 Action News has reported on security lapses at the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary. In 2018, we learned that some inmates were coming and going through holes in the fences and smuggling in contraband liquor, cigarettes and cellphones. And in 2019, we reported on an inmate even using a contraband cell phone to broadcast a Facebook livestream from his prison cell.

Ex-inmate who turned his life around speaks about his time in Atlanta's federal pen. They're corrupt, everyone has known about this for decades, the BoP does nothing because they benefit from the situation. But fuck prisoners, amirite?

This has been happening for decades!
Long before the presidential elections of 2020.
A few Zucker bucks could help straighten out the election.
Look at the result, Joe Biden, as President.
And all that Green New Deal money is going to help prevent us from corrupting the climate!
There is nothing more corrupt than concentrating a lot of "green new deal" money into the hands of a central government.
Some of you might remember a SFOD-D was called in to bail out the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) failure.
The SFOD-D quickly retook the Atlanta Federal Pen.
The FBI’s HRT went home with tails tucked between their legs. Then tried to take some credit, since using Delta & SEAL TEAMS for Hostage Rescues in those days was still hush-hush.

/\ Perhaps you remember an HRT training exercise involving an airplane takedown in California many years ago. Lots of hoopla and high-speed weapons, communications, videos, camo, helmets, the works.
All went well until the assault team huddled under the aircraft, having suddenly discovered they had not packed their boarding ladders.
SFOD observers standing nearby were silently amused.

Remember some talk about training some Fed's only to be surprised how far they still needed to go to accomplish basics breeching WITH a successful rescue ratio back in 92. They did not even have a Det-cord cabin door opener with them. Then, the Fed's were calling a 25% loss of hostages a success. But then the ATF at Waco Branch Davitian (sp) even tossed that 1 in 4 out the window.

The US government massacre at Waco wasn't a mistake. It was the whole plan in the first place. They had been made fools of by the siege, and they intended to show the whole world what happens when anyone defies them. So they killed everyone they could in the building.
And then, in a completely unrelated coincidence, two years later on the anniversary of the mass murders, the federal building where the assault was planned and controlled was blown up. I guess we'll never know why.

David Koresh could have been arrested at the gas station in Waco or on the highway going either way.
I don't recall the deets, but at the time, a local sheriff or such said he did not understand why the feds went all nutso. If they wanted Koresh, the sheriff could have simply called him to come in. Apparently, there was enough of a community relationship for that to be possible. Much less dramatic, though. Somehow the US Marshals manage to snatch up people without burning down buildings.
