[Breitbart] U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) administrator Samantha Power agreed to speak at a gala later this month hosted by a think tank that listed a military-linked Chinese firm sanctioned by the American government as a sponsor until this week.
The event’s organizer — Inter-American Dialogue — claimed it cut ties with China Telecom Wednesday after first learning its status as an entity blacklisted by the Treasury Department when Politico inquired about its relationship with the state-run firm.
Moreover, an unnamed USAID spokesperson asserted that Power was unaware that the military-linked company owned by China’s ruling communist party was sponsoring the event when she agreed to attend, the news outlet reported Thursday.
“We were not aware of this sponsorship when the Administrator agreed to speak at the event and understand that this organization is no longer a part of the event,” the spokesperson told Politico.
[Breitbart] Violence from Gulf Cartel members and cheaper smuggling rates than their rivals are two main factors pushing thousands of Caribbean migrants to Del Rio instead of the Rio Grande Valley, which is considerably closer in terms of travel distance.
More than 12,000
...14,000 at last count...
migrants, primarily from Haiti, are being held by U.S. authorities under an international bridge awaiting processing. The migrants crossed from Ciudad Acuna in Coahuila into Del Rio, Texas, and instead of avoiding authorities, they are requesting asylum once they encounter U.S. Border Patrol.
Breitbart Texas spoke with Mexican federal law enforcement officials who contend that Coahuila border cities are preferred among migrants because human smugglers there are less likely to extort or kidnap them before reaching the Rio Grande.
Breitbart Texas also consulted with U.S. law enforcement sources operating in Mexico who say that other criminal organizations such as the Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas, which operates in Nuevo Laredo and northern Coahuila, have been luring independent human smugglers with safer routes and lower rates to cross through their territory.
Capitalism is the natural human approach, and a rough kind of kindness...
Those same smuggling groups appear to be helping guide the caravans of Caribbean migrants towards the Coahuila border. On Thursday, citizen journalists reported large groups of migrants at the bus station of Poza Rica in the state of Veracruz. Those groups were planning on reaching Ciudad Acuna, the citizen journalists reported.
[Breitbart] There have been 11 Democrats currently in the House and Senate who have reportedly allegedly violated the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act of 2012, claiming they “unknowingly,” “accidentally,” or “forgot” to file financial disclosure reports when making trades.
Breitbart News reported on the STOCK Act, which requires members to file periodic financial disclosure reports when trades over $1,000 are made:
Members are supposed to file “full and complete” financial disclosure reports of themselves and the members’ spouse’s assets, debts, and income, in addition to the filing “periodic reports” when transactions are made that exceed $1,000. Every member is required to do so within 30 to 45 days of the transaction.

[BBC] Philippine boxing star Manny Pacquiao says he is to run for president in next year's election.
He was nominated as a candidate by a faction of the ruling party, PDP-Laban.
On top of a glittering career as a fighter, Mr Pacquiao, 42, is a senator in the Philippines' parliament.
Incumbent Rodrigo Duterte is barred from another term but has been picked by a rival party faction to run for vice-president, a move critics say is an attempt to cling to power.

He was selected to run alongside a close ally, Christopher "Bong" Go, but Mr Go says he does not want to succeed Mr Duterte.
While his party says it wants Mr Go to reconsider his decision, his rejection of the nomination has led to suggestions that President Duterte's daughter Sara Duterte-Carpio could join him on the ticket.
[FOX] A school shooter in suburban Denver was sentenced to life in prison without parole on Friday.
Devon Erickson, 20, was convicted of first-degree murder in the shooting death of classmate Kendrick Castillo, along with 45 other charges in connection with the 2019 attack at STEM School Highlands Ranch.
Castillo, 18, was hailed as a hero for trying to stop Erickson’s deadly massacre, which also injured eight people.
A jury found Erickson partnered with fellow student Alec McKinney
...legally Maya Elizabeth McKinney, identifying as Alec McKinney, while Mr. Erickson hated all the right things. Alec’s father was twice deported back to Mexico, and had a habit of domestic violence ...
to plan the attack for weeks. McKinney testified he wanted to target students who mocked him because he was transgender.
Judge Theresa Michelle Slade added hundreds of years to Erickson’s mandatory life sentence after hearing lengthy and emotional testimony from survivors.
"I don’t think there is anything I can say to you, Mr. Erickson, that would make any difference," Slade said, adding the shooter never tried to explain his actions.
Erickson was stone-faced as the verdict was read, but his voice broke when the judge asked him if he wanted to speak, right after his family members testified that they loved him.
McKinney was sentenced to life in prison last year, but could be eligible for parole after 20 years since he was a juvenile.
The two shooters targeted a dark classroom where students were watching a movie. They entered through separate doors to maximize the carnage, and planned to have McKinney die, either by suicide or at the hands of his cohort, according to prosecutors.
The massacre was thwarted when Castillo and two other students, Joshua Jones and Brendan Bialy, charged Erickson as his gun jammed. McKinney was arrested by a security guard.
Erickson’s father, Jim Erickson, read aloud the names of the victims and apologized to the community.
"We pray for these people every day," he said through tears.

Years ago a dear friend had brand new mercury convertible and loved driving it downtown to cruise San Bernardino as a newly married man with his beautiful wife. After a few weeks he tried driving it with the top up and the music off and dicovered that on making hard left hand turns the drivers side door seemed to make a clunking noise at times. After a few weeks he was convinced something was seriously wrong and took the car back to the local dealership. They discovered a glass coke bottle with a note inside the door panel. On the note was just one sentence..."Drove you crazy didn't it!"
On Saturday, there was a rally in D.C. to bring attention to the plight of those people arrested on January 6 and still held in solitary confinement in D.C. jails. President Trump warned people in advance that the rally was a no-win situation and he was right. It was poorly attended and it seems that many of those who did appear—perhaps intending to act as provocateurs—were law enforcement agents trying to “blend in with the crowd.” Most importantly, though, this failed rally revealed that non-leftists in America are losing their First Amendment right to protest.
Rule of law and due process are being eviscerated.
Absentee ballots, "ballot harvesting," oligarch-funded and -directed shenanigans have taken away the remedy of the vote.
Now free speech -- aside from, ahem, futile anonymous internet steam-releasing -- is on the run.
They've screwed up the next generation of Americans with their COVID stupidity, and they're well on their way to bringing up stagflation and ruinous taxation and spending policies that will destroy current generations' wealth.
Are they trying to push us toward extreme measures?
Do they really want another civil w-r? Is that their end game?

[Express] BRITONS have reacted with fury after Nancy Pelosi threatened to block a UK-US trade deal.
In a blunt ultimatum to Boris Johnson, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives said she would block a UK-US trade deal if Brexit threatened the Good Friday Agreement. The Good Friday Agreement is an international accord that ensures peace in Northern Ireland. However, the 1998 agreement insists upon a borderless island of Ireland.

The Gateway Pundit reported that Nancy received an appropriate greeting by the Brits:
greeted by British civilians screaming, ” Trump won!… You’re not welcome here… Go back to Epstein Island!… We don’t want you!… The whole world knows that Trump won the 2020 election!”
[IsraelTimes] Three Paleostinians were detained by Israel Defense Force soldiers after trying to infiltrate into southern Israel on Saturday morning, the military said.
The suspects were found to be carrying knives and bolt cutters to break through the fence when they were captured near the northern section of the border, according to the IDF.
It was not clarified whether the three had successfully fully passed through the fence at the time of their capture.
The suspects were detained and taken for questioning.

The Deir Ali station southeast of Damascus generates half of Syria's power needs, Electricity Minister Ghassan al-Zamel said Saturday in comments carried by the official SANA news agency.
He said an attack on the gas pipeline on Friday evening with bombs caused the station to go out of service temporarily.
The outage affected several other stations, causing blackouts in Damascus, its outskirts and other areas, Zamel said, before power was restored some thirty minutes later.
He said maintenance works had started Saturday but warned of severe rationing until the pipeline is repaired and power plants resume normal operations.
The Deir Ali and Tishreen plants remain out of service.

[AlAhram] Lebanese security forces raided a fertiliser warehouse in the eastern Bekaa Valley, considered a hub for smuggling operations between Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady human sacrifice days of Baal Moloch. In 2020 Hezbollahblew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate faci8lity exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that... and Syria
Lebanese authorities have seized 20 tonnes of ammonium nitrate -- the same chemical behind a deadly explosion last year at Beirut's port -- in the eastern Bekaa Valley, state media reported on Saturday.
Ammonium nitrate is an odourless crystalline substance commonly used as a fertiliser that has been the cause of numerous industrial explosions over the decades.
At least 214 people were killed and some 6,500 others maimed on August 4, 2020 when a shipment of the chemical carelessly stocked at the Beirut port for years ignited and caused a massive blast.
On Saturday, the National News Agency (NNA) said security forces raided a fertiliser warehouse in the eastern Bekaa Valley, considered a hub for smuggling operations between Lebanon and Syria.
Authorities seized 20 tonnes of the dangerous chemical stored inside a truck parked at the warehouse, the NNA said, adding the material was transported to a "safe place".
Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi, who visited the Bekaa Valley on Saturday, called on security forces to conduct a sweep of the area.
"We must do our best to move these materials to a safer place away from exposure to heat and sun" to avoid a "catastrophe", the NNA quoted him as saying.
The company that owns the ammonium nitrate said that the fertiliser was intended for agricultural use.
"One of our employees informed the relevant authorities that we have ammonium nitrate, so they raided the warehouses on Friday," one of the company heads told AFP on condition of anonymity.
The name of the firm that owns the fertiliser has not been made public pending investigations.
"We have been working in the feed and fertiliser industry for 40 years," the company official added.
When combined with fuel oils, ammonium nitrate creates a potent explosive widely used in the construction industry, but also by Death Eater groups for improvised explosives.
Lebanese authorities are still investigating the circumstances in which hundreds of tonnes of the chemical ended up in the Beirut port for years, before the monster explosion that levelled swathes of the city.
Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi on Saturday inspected a truck carrying 20 tons of ammonium nitrate in the Bidnayel Plain in the Bekaa after it had been seized in Baalbek, the National News Agency said. Mawlawi said security forces moved the dangerous material from Baalbek to the empty plain to protect public safety.
[KhaamaPress] The interim cabinet of the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... decided humanitarian aid be provided to the people of Panjshir after they took over the province as the very last holdout in Afghanistan.
The decision was taken by the cabinet led by the premier Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund.
Provincial officials of the Taliban and people in Panjshir province say that all the routes to the province reopened and telecommunication resumed.
People in the province said they are in a humanitarian crisis and desperately need relief assistance.
They have also said that 90 percent of the residents left Panjshir province after it fell to the Taliban.
The state-run radio and television network (RTA) has reported that the premier directed the lives of money exchangers, experts, and businessmen to be protected and the coordination and cooperation among security forces must be strengthened for establishing further security in Kabul city.
The very first cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan comes as no country has recognized the government yet.
Somehow they still don’t understand how totalitarians think.
[ToloNews] United Nations ...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense... High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Filippo Grandi said on Friday he found that the Taliban ...Arabic for students... have space for discussion and engagement on human rights One man's rights are another man's existential threat. issues, including women and minorities rights.
"There is space for discussion and engagement about these matters," Grandi told news hounds in a news conference in Islamabad after he concluded his visit to Afghanistan, saying he took up the issues with various authorities of the caretaker cabinet.
"I am encouraged by that," he added.
With growing reports of human and civil rights violations, various groups and countries have urged international bodies to engage with the Taliban.
Grandi also called on the international community to continue engaging with the Taliban "to save Afghanistan from disaster, and to save the region from instability."
Since the Taliban took over on Aug. 15, several street protests led by women have been broken up. People have been detained and beaten. The Taliban have promised to investigate the incidents.
"Will they allow women to work? Will they allow girls to go to school? How will they treat minorities?" Grandi said, adding these are the questions, which are among the concerns of the global community.

Given the massive destructive impact of the Wuhan Plague and its persistent lasting impacts on the West, the main enemy of the global ambitions of the CCP, has anyone seriously looked at any post-pandemic manipulation and if there is any indication of it, is there any statistical correlation of morbidity/virulence associated with racial types?
I admit it is a conspiracy theorists/tinfoil hat premise to posit, but I seem to recall something in the dim past about the bio-weapons research by the Chinese PLA for a bioweapon with heightened effect on non-asian subjects. And certainly, they have to have seen the devastation the release has caused in the West.
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency has arrested one persons after conducting searches in Tamil Nadu in connection with the Madurai Hizb-ut-Tahir case.
The NIA conducted searches at two locations in Thiruvarur and Tanjore districts of Tamil Nadu and arrested an accused Bava Bahrudeen.
The case was initially registered by the Thideer Nagar Police Station in Madurai in which Mohammed Iqbal had used his Facebook account "Thoonga Vizhigal Rendu is in Kazimar Street" to upload posts that denigrated a particular community and fomented communal disharmony among different religions in a manner prejudicial to the maintenance of public order.
Investigation has revealed that the accused person Mohammed Iqbal conspired with others including Mannai Bava, in the name of Hizb-ut-Tahrir to re-establish Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. In the searches conducted,30 books, handwritten documents containing incriminating literature related to Hizb-ut-Tahrir and establishment of Islamic State / Khilafat and 3 digital devices were seized.

Bennett said after the Monday visit to Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula that he had "an important and very good meeting" with Sissi, in which the two "laid the foundation for deep ties moving forward."

[Time of Israel] Safe in a command center thousands of miles away, Israeli team reportedly used AI-powered weapon built into abandoned-looking vehicle to take out Mohsen Fakhrizadeh last November.
Top Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was assassinated in November 2020 in a sophisticated hit led by a Mossad team that reportedly deployed a computerized machine gun, required no on-site operatives, took less than a minute, and did not injure anyone else, including the scientist’s wife who was with him at the time.
According to an in-depth New York Times report published on Saturday, the weapon used in the high-profile assassination last year of Fakhrizadeh — regarded by Israel and many Western officials as the "father" of Iran’s nuclear weapons program — was a modified Belgian-made FN MAG machine gun attached to an advanced robotic apparatus and powered with artificial intelligence technology. The whole device weighed about a ton and was smuggled into Iran in small parts ahead of the operation and then reassembled.
Nobody questioned a bunch of men in “Star of David Mechanics, Inc” labelled boiler suits working on a car at the side of the road? How long would such a thing take if they were careful to abide by union labour laws in order to avoid notice?
The Mossad team handled the whole operation from a command center outside the country, according to the report which the publication said was based on interviews with American, Israeli and Iranian officials, "including two intelligence officials familiar with the details of the planning and execution of the operation."

ref #4, it almost seems like someone saw that rerun and decided it would be a great way to protect other means still traceable inside Iran. Otherwise, why reveal a technique with future application?
What I found far more interesting was the trigger for a long planned OP being the likely loss by Trump and the conviction that the Obama/ValJar Presidium would have immense power in the future Biden Administration. That fits exactly with my sense of how Israel sees US policy as feckless going forward, even more than in years past.

Taqiyya. The ISI never demanded their Afghan Talib pets be inclusive as they fought for two decades to drive the foreigners out of Pakistan’s deep sanctuary in Afghanistan, so why should they suddenly care about such things now?
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Pakistain’s prime minister said he has "initiated a dialogue" with the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... to prod them to form an inclusive government that would ensure peace and stability not only in Afghanistan but also in the region.
Imran Khan ...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree... tweeted on Saturday that he took the initiative after his meetings this week in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, with leaders of countries neighboring Afghanistan.
The Taliban last week announced an all-male interim government that includes no women or members of Afghanistan’s minorities — contrary to their earlier pledges on inclusivity. They have also since moved to curb women’s rights, harking back to their harsh rule when they were in power in the 1990s.
Khan said he had detailed discussions with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s meeting in Dushanbe. The economic and security group is made up of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India and Pakistain.
"After meetings in Dushanbe with leaders of Afghanistan’s neighbors and especially a lengthy discussion with Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon, I have initiated a dialogue with the Taliban for an inclusive Afghan govt to include Tajiks, Hazara ...a grouping of Dari-speaking people of Sino-Tibetan descent inhabiting Afghanistan and Pakistain. They are predominantly Shia Moslems and not particularly warlike, which makes them favored targets... s & Uzbeks" Khan said in the tweet.
He said "After 40 years of conflict, this inclusivity will ensure peace and a stable Afghanistan, which is in the interest not only of Afghanistan but the region as well."

"The massacre is an escalation that recalls Iranian mullahs’ execution of its opponents, &launch of mass killings of opponents of its coup, &use of the judiciary under its control as a tool to settle its political scores terrorize its opponents politicians, media & journalists," he added.
Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi militia said on Saturday that authorities had executed nine men who were convicted of involvement in the 2018 killing of Saleh al-Samad, then the gang's top civilian leader.
Samad, who held the post of president in the Houthi-controlled administration which runs most of northern Yemen, was killed in April 2018 by an Arab Coalition air strike in the port city of Hodeidah on Yemen's west coast.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] An Australian news hound dubbed the 'world's most beautiful news anchor' while covering the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict is making a major career move.
Sarah Williamson, 31, is leaving Israeli news channel i24 News to take up a new position at conservative American news network Newsmax.
The blonde beauty announced the news on Instagram this week, telling her thousands of followers that she was leaving Tel Aviv for New York.
'In three weeks time this incredible, life changing chapter comes to a close and oh my, is it bittersweet,' she wrote.
'I’m not quite ready to pay homage to this city and the beautiful people that I have met along the way, but that will come in a later post.'
Sarah later reiterated that she wasn't returning home to Australia, and was instead taking up a new role as a news anchor and news hound for Newsmax in the States.
'And just to be clear, I am really f***ing excited! Like really!!!!!' she wrote. 'I honestly can't wait for this new chapter.'
Newsmax is known for its right wing perspective and has gained popularity in recent years due to its unwavering support of former US President Donald Trump ...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons...... It comes after Williamson slammed Australia's lockdowns earlier last month.
The news hound shared a post to Instagram saying 'brainwashed' Aussies were 'living in a totalitarian society'.
'I never thought I would say this... I'm not proud to be Australian at the moment, considering the mindset of the government and the majority of the people living inside the country. I'm sorry,' she wrote.
'I'm well aware I'm about to receive a barrage of abuse by brainwashed Aussies. I'm sorry you feel this way,' she continued. I'm sorry you live in a totalitarian society.'
When she's not reporting on geopolitical conflicts, Sarah works as a model.
She has even appeared in a major campaign for an Israeli footwear brand.

While I do tune in NewsMax for general important info. I have noted the occasional, what I call Political Steering pieces to avoid or omit some negative details and facts.
So like I do with all NEWS, I cross verify the information.
But, with that said, its still a 100,000% better than any MSM outlet.
[JPost] appears the Paleo actual non-hamas residents wanna just get on with their (semi-prospering) lives?
I guess we’re all glad that’s over, with all the bad guys rounded up.
Palestinians clashed with the Israeli forces who entered Jenin to arrest the two prisoners.
The last two remaining prisoners who escaped from Gilboa Prison earlier this month, Munadil Nafayat and Iham Kahamji, were arrested on Saturday night by Israeli forces in Jenin, putting an end to the nearly two-week-long manhunt.
The arrest was made by the IDF, Shin Bet and police special forces based on intelligence from the Shin Bet. Israeli forces surrounded the house where the prisoners were hiding and the two prisoners surrendered without any struggle and were transferred to the Shin Bet for questioning. Two Palestinians who helped the two prisoners were also arrested by Israeli forces.
Four of the six prisoners who escaped from Gilboa Prison, Zakaria Zubeidi, Mahmoud Ardah, Mohammed Qadri and Mohammed Ardah, were captured by security forces in and near Nazareth last weekend.
Armed clashes broke out between Palestinians and Israeli forces in the West Bank city of Jenin on Saturday night, after large numbers of Israeli forces entered the city, according to Palestinian reports. At least one Palestinian has been wounded, according to the reports. No injuries have been reported among Israeli forces.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The fourth round of meetings of the Joint Technical Committee between Iraq and the United States kicked off in Baghdad on Friday, based on the outcomes of the strategic agreement, which was signed by Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi and US President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Being a self-defined foreign policy whiz kid means never having to say you're sorry... at the White House in July.
The Joint Operations Command of the Iraqi Army said that a security agreement had been signed to reduce the combat units and military forces in each of the two bases of Ain al-Assad in western Iraq’s Anbar province, and Harir in the Kurdistan region near Erbil.
"A meeting was held between the US and Iraqi military committees, within the framework of the technical security talks that were agreed upon in the strategic dialogue and the plan to transition to a non-combat role for the international coalition forces operating in Iraq, according to the outcomes of the meeting held on July 22," the Command said in a statement.
The two parties reiterated that the presence of US and international coalition forces was "at the invitation of Iraq... in accordance with international laws and norms and in line with Iraqi illusory sovereignty," it added.
The two sides also agreed, according to the statement, to "hold regular sessions to discuss the remaining steps to secure the transition to a non-combat role for the international coalition forces by the agreed time at the end of the current year."
The third round of strategic dialogue, which was held in April via video conference, ended with an agreement to "direct the mission of the US and coalition forces to focus on training and advisory tasks, allowing the redeployment of any remaining combat forces from Iraq."
The two sides decided to set the timing for the entry into force of the agreement during the fourth round of the strategic dialogue.
According to Iraqi sources, about 3,500 foreign soldiers are still present in Iraq, including 2,500 Americans. The process of their withdrawal may take several years to be completed.

Sounds like North Carolina has a bunch of RACIST judges.
Given they tell us only Blacks cannot follow a Statewide ID law, but any other race and color can.
They must feel Blacks steal their Beer, wine, liquor
and smokes. Since those require State ID to buy. What about driving are all Black illegal drivers? Or what about filing for Government services?
Is this why the Black Community is the least VAX'd also because they don't have proper ID to get the shot?
Seriously asking.
If this had been a real NON-Political issues wouldn't the Democrats/Socialists been all over it making sure the Black Community all had Golden plated ID's
Or is the real reason, without Official ID to the Vote, elections can be played with.

I don't know how it is in Wake County (next county over from me), but here in Johnston County EVERYBODY has to show ID to buy liquor at the state store. I'm 73, and I had to show ID.
So how to blacks get their liquor?

[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] A sparsely attended 'Justice for J6' rally on Saturday featured more coppers and press than protesters as a few hundred demonstrators gathered in the shadow of the Capitol building to show support for the January 6th rioters who stormed it.A heavy police presence - officers in riot gear, plain clothes police, law enforcement on bikes and horses - awaited the crowd. Also there were counterprotesters, who carried homemade signs - one read loser which was a reference to Donald Trump ...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election... , its carrier said - and 'Black Lives Matter' flags. One small group stood on a street corner, blaring the song 'FTD (F*** Donald Trump).'
Police broke up shouting matches between the two groups, moving people apart before fights could break out. There were no reports of violence amid fears the day could turn into another insurrection. One man with a knife was arrested on a weapons violation charge.
A total of four people were arrested on Saturday.
A man who was reported to have a gun was one of them. 'At 1:30 pm, someone spotted what appeared to be a handgun on a man in the crowd. The witness told USCP officers, who detained the suspect. At this time, it is not clear why the man was at the demonstration. Officers charged him with 40 U.S. Code § 5104 - Unlawful activities.,' USCP said.
Additionally, officers stopped a vehicle along Louisiana Avenue and 'subsequently arrested two people for felony extraditable warrants out of Texas,' USCP said. 'One was for Possession of a Firearm. The other was for a probation violation.'
After the rally ended, as people were leaving, police broke up a pushing and shouting match between protesters and counterprotesters. U.S. Capitol Police said there were no arrests from the incident.
Nearly 700 people were anticipated to attend the rally. Instead there appeared to be a few hundred people.
U.S. Capitol Police said there were 'approximately 400 to 450 people were inside the protest area today (excluding law enforcement).' But they did not break down how many of those were there for the rally, how many were members of the media and how many were counterprotesters.
...and how many were confidential FBI or police informants or agents provocateur.
Capitol Police reportedly detain undercover cop at rally for Jan. 6 'political prisoners'
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] The "Justice for J6" rally in Washington concluded without major incident Saturday after the Capitol Police ramped up security in anticipation of the right-wing event. However, a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth... authorities appeared to detain an undercover officer.
Better undercover than agent provocateur.
Capitol Police surrounded a masked man reportedly carrying a firearm. "He tells them where the gun is, and they pull out his badge. He's undercover law enforcement. Without disarming or handcuffing him, police extract him from the event," reported News2Share editor-in-chief and documentarian Ford Fischer.
"Are you undercover?" the Capitol Police officers asked the masked man about to be detained who handed over what appeared to be a law enforcement badge. "I guess not anymore," Fischer quipped. The masked man then claimed, "I'm just here," when asked if he's undercover. He was pulled away from the chaotic scene after the badge was presented to justify the gun's appearance.

[ABCNEWS.GO] It was an hour President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The guy who lost Afghanistan, aka Biden's Bungle... would no doubt like to forget. On Friday, the Pentagon acknowledged that a dronezap in Afghanistan killed 10 civilians, including seven children, not terrorists. And La Belle France announced it was recalling its ambassador to the United States out of anger for being cut out of a secret nuclear submarine deal Biden had struck with the United Kingdom and Australia.
The headlines, all within an hour, underscored the perils for any president from situations that can define a term in office.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Nigerian troops have rescued an army officer kidnapped last month from an elite military academy in the restive northwest, the army said late Friday.
An armed gang stormed the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA), the country’s heavily guarded military academy in the city of Kaduna on August 24, killing two officers and abducting another, in a daring attack that shocked the authorities.
Northwest and central Nigeria have been plagued by criminal gangs known locally as bandidos who raid villages, kidnapping and killing residents, stealing cattle and burning homes after looting them.
[OneIndia] The Indian security agencies have repeatedly stated that the KhalistanDeath Eaters backed by the ISI would look to make a comeback. While the terror modules within the country are largely under control, the worry is the rise of Sikh separatism.
For several years now, groups backing the Khalistan movement have operated in the United States, Canada and London. The Sikhs for Justice in particular is a notorious outfit led by proscribed terrorist, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. He was declared as an individual terrorist under the UAPA from promoting secessionism and encouraging Sikh youth to take up arms.
In the backdrop of the same, a leading think-tank in the United States said that the US cannot allow separatist movements from India, including those with ties to murderous Moslem and terrorist groups, to grow unchecked among its otherwise law-abiding Sikh community. The report published by the Hudson Institute is titled, "Pakistain's Destabilisation Playbook: Khalistani Activism in the US." The report has been jointly authored by leading experts, Husain Haqqani, Christine Fair, Aparna Pande, Sam Westrop, Seth Oldmixon and Michael Rubin.

No country wants to lose a chunk of their property so I understand India's reluctance but if they gave up Punjab and Kashmir to the a Independent Sikh state Kashmir they'd have a nice buffer state with Pakistan that might be worth thinking about.

I added a Related search for the term Khalistan, which yielded
the following edifying auto-translation for Khalistan Liberation Force:
...Khalistan is the idea of an independent Sikh homeland in the Indian (and Pak, but they don't dwell on that) Punjab. The local troublemakers are financed by the Sikh diaspora, who love the idea of the folks they left behind murdering their neighbours before dying romantically for a hopeless idea, with training and additional funding from Pakistain’s ISI as yet another arrow in their quiver aimed at the Indian throat. The Khalistan Liberation Force, like Antifa, is the umbrella for a bunch of Sikh groups that have engaged in armed struggle® against India since the 1980s...

Kashmir originally belonged to the Hindu Pandits, some portion of whose working class were Moslem, so the identity issues are unrelated to Sikh independence.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Witnesses said a series of three explosions that targeted Taliban ...Arabic for students... vehicles in the capital of Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. [NYPOST] A classroom at a Los Angeles public high school was decorated with hateful posters reading "F—k the Police" and "F—k Amerikkka" — as well as a Black Lives Matter flag, photos show.
The vicious, anti-American posters, shared on social media, adorned a history classroom at Alexander Hamilton High School.
One picture shows a poster declaring "F—k America, This is Native Land" and another taking aim at law enforcement officials.
"Policing is a violent mostly peaceful, anti-black settler institution that originated as slave patrols," the poster reads.
"Their primary mandate is to protect property and to militarily enforce white supremacist capitalism. They are doing their jobs as they are trained and paid to do. You can’t fix what isn’t broken. That’s why we fight for police and prison abolition. F—k the Police."
Another image shows a classroom blackboard covered with the Paleostinian flag, as well as pride and transgender banners alongside another supporting Black Lives Matter. A US flag, meanwhile, appeared to be draped over a piece of furniture in a corner.
The divisive ...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled... display was shared Tuesday on Twitter by Parents Defending Education, which describes itself on its website as "a national grassroots organization" fighting "indoctrination in the classroom."
However, we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by... the group’s president and founder, Nicole Neily, describes herself as a "think tank executive" on her LinkedIn profile and has worked in senior positions for conservative groups including the Independent Women’s Forum and Cato Institute, according to the group’s website.
Still, the spiteful rhetoric highlighted by the group had many on social media questioning if the posters could be regarded as "hate speech."
Another critic suggested the display looked like a lesson on the "history of art as political propaganda."

[OneIndia] The Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... is trying to further operations in the country. The recent chargesheet filed by the National Investigation Agency is a clear indicator of how dangerous the group is.
The ISIS had in fact scouted for land in the forests of South India to set up training camps and launch pads. In addition to this, the agency has also noticed an increase in online activity by the group.
The primary concern is still Kerala and the highest number of recruits are emerging from that state an officer told OneIndia on condition of anonymity. The NIA has so far investigated 37 cases of terror attacks, conspiracy and funding which have been inspired by the ISIS ideology.
The most recent case by the was registered by the NIA in June 2021. In all 168 accused have been arrested in these cases, while chargesheets have been filed in 31 cases and 27 accused have been convicted.
Investigation by NIA has revealed that IS (Islamic State) is trying to spread its tentacles in India through continuous propaganda online. Gullible youth are targeted on open social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Once a person shows interest, he or she is then enticed to communicate with online handlers based abroad using encrypted social media platforms. Depending on the gullibility of the person, the handlers then use the person for uploading online content, translation of IS texts to local language, conspiracy, preparation of a module, collection of arms and ammunition, preparation of IEDs, terror funding and even attacks, the NIA said in a statement.
An appeal is being made that any such activity noticed on the internet maybe brought to the notice of the authorities. NIA may be contacted at 011-24368800, the NIA further added in its statement.
During the course of the investigations, the NIA learnt that these operatives were in the process of setting up an ISIS Daishwilayah or province inside the jungles of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. When it was unraveled in 2020, the NIA said that this was the first of its kind plot.
The case arose following the arrest of a few persons who had conspired at Salem and Chennai who had fraudulently activated SIM cards by using multiple identity documents of various persons without their knowledge and consent.
The NIA in its chargesheet said that there were 20 members part of this module, which was headed by Mehboob Pasha, a Bengaluru based operative and Khaja Moideen from Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu.
They had planned on visiting Shivanasamudra in Karnataka and identify a place in the jungle where training could be imparted. Before they were busted by the NIA, they had already procured tents, bows, arrows, boots, arms, ammunition, sleeping bags, ropes and ladders. They had also procured a large quantity of firecrackers to extract explosive content and make IEDs, the NIA chargesheet read.
Further the NIA also learnt that they had scouted for similar hideouts in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, Kolar, Kodagu (Karnataka), Burdwan, Siliguri (West Bengal) and Chittor in Andhra Pradesh. They wanted to set up ISIS provinces in these jungles and then launch systematic attacks with the primary intention of killing Hindu leaders, government officials, coppers and politicians, the NIA said.
[OneIndia] Earlier this week, the Delhi Police busted a major ISI sponsored module, which was planning on carrying out a series of attacks in the country.
The Delhi Police said that the six persons were planning major attacks in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra during the festival season. The police also said that the accused persons had visited Pakistain. In Pakistain they were taken to a town near the Gwadar port and were trained by two persons from the Pakistain Army.
The training imparted to them involved preparing IEDs, using firearms, AK-47s and committing arson with the help of items of daily use.

Police arrested 32-year-old Bradley K. Hill, 32, on Friday and charged him with assault
Cops say on the afternoon of September 9 Hill kicked a woman down the escalator of the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station in Boerum Hill
Footage of the incident shows Hill dropkicking a woman in the chest after walking past her on the escalator
The incident was all because the unidentified victim, also 32, asked Hill to say 'excuse me' after he pushed his way past her on the ride up to the street
Hill, who was captured on surveillance footage with a long, curly mane in a bun was photographed on his perp walk with a fresh, short haircut on Friday
DailyMail.com traveled to Del Rio, Texas, to witness Saturday's removal operation
Migrants - many of them without shoes - were put on buses, accompanied by Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) cars
Police were also present, amid fears of tensions after the Biden administration announced plans to deport Haitian border crossers back to their home countries

That subsequently prompted a huge influx of Haitian people hoping to take advantage of the amnesty
[KGNS.TV] Checkpoints in and out of Laredo have been shut down.
In a video interview, U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar ...Dem representative for Texas' 28th congressional district, serving since 2005. He was a professor at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) in Laredo. He has positioned himself as a strong advocate for education. Prior to being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives he was a member of the Texas House 1987 to 2001.... told KGNS the decision comes from the Federal Government as it tries to send available Border Patrol agents to Del Rio due to the influx of migrants colonists.
It’s been an overwhelming situation for Del Rio officials to handle for the past 48 hours.
More than 12,000 migrants colonists, mostly from Haiti, have been gathering under the international bridge between Del Rio and Ciudad Acuña, Mexico. Officials are scrambling to bring reinforcements from across the country.
The checkpoints in Laredo have been left unmanned since 6 p.m. Friday, where BP agents were reassigned to Del Rio according to Congressman Cuellar.
People can still drive in and out of Laredo, this just means the checkpoints are bypassed.
" I do not blame the local Border Patrol," said Cuellar. "They are just being told what to do. I blame the policies. I told the headquarters what they are doing is wrong because the more people they allow in the more people that are going to come. Under the law is someone is supposed to stay they will stay. They should be deporting people back to their countries of origin, otherwise, they are enticing other people to come in."
Cuellar said he was notified that about 400 agents from surrounding areas will be sent to Del Rio, but could not confirm how many for Laredo specifically.
Hector Garza, Vice President of the National Border Patrol Council, and President of the Laredo Border Patrol Union spoke to KGNS at the I-35 checkpoint Friday night during a live News broadcast.
"It’s so unfortunate that the cartels are getting a free pass throughout these checkpoints in Laredo and at the Del Rio checkpoints," Garza said.

Product shortages and increasingly absent mainstream product lines for extended periods at WallyWorld expanding. I suspect a mix of shut down manufacturing and atrophied delivery system capacity. Entropy of vastly complex interconnected economies do not function like an electric switch, and repeated on/off manipulations by DC cause capital/investment decisions that devastate efficiencies imprinted over the years as parts go permanently absent. We are governed by very ignorant ideologues and clueless socialists. It ain't getting better anytime soon my friends!
(CNN) Just after the US military launched a Hellfire missile to stop a white Toyota Corolla it believed to be an imminent threat to US troops leading the evacuation at the Kabul airport, the CIA issued an urgent warning: Civilians were likely in the area, including possibly children inside the vehicle, according to three sources familiar with the situation.
It was too late. The warning on August 29 came seconds before the missile hit the car, killing 10 civilians, including seven children.
In the weeks following, the military insisted that it had been a justified strike on a confirmed terrorist target, acknowledging that some civilians might have been killed. But on Friday, after weeks of media coverage casting doubt on the legitimacy of the strike, the military acknowledged no one in the car was affiliated with ISIS-K as originally believed. "It was a mistake," Gen. Frank McKenzie, the top general of US Central Command, said bluntly at the Pentagon.
It's not clear whether the military informed the intelligence community that it had decided to pull the trigger -- if for no other reason than that the situation was rapidly evolving. The military calls such strikes, which commanders in the field were authorized to take without consulting up the chain of command, "dynamic."
In some cases, the military might ask the intelligence community to "task" its surveillance drones and other assets to watch a particular car or a particular location. The intelligence community would share data on the targets with the Defense Department in real time, but it is ultimately the military ground force commander's decision to take the strike.
Some sources say the miscommunication highlights a now-pressing decision for the Biden administration as it weighs how to conduct future strikes in Afghanistan without US troops on the ground there: Will the Defense Department or CIA own the mission?
#1
You were warned about the impending Taliban takeover. You were warned about potentially faulty targeting and civilians in the VIC. You wish to go it alone White House and DoD, then you own it. Have a nice day.
#3
In some cases, the military might ask the intelligence community to "task" its surveillance drones and other assets to watch a particular car or a particular location.
In some cases...
If the intel community (CIA) isn't sharing its actionable information with the military in real time - what good are they?
And lets be honest, the "intel community" went blind when the Afghan NDS and MOI folks went into self-preservation mode and bugged out...after that the CIA had nothing. Well, I take that back...they do still maintain one source that is hawking their "narrative" leaked out into the media via CNN.
#5
After clicking the submit button the caffeine pushed a few more thoughts through the morning fog in my brain.
1. If...if...what the CIA talking head is true, their silence after 29 Aug is egregious and complicit...why didn't Mr. CIA mouthpiece bring this information into the light immediately after the killing of these children? For Brennan to bring it up now in a CYA move is stupid and displays a craven lack of morals.
2. Why did it take the Times of all people to conduct an effective battle damage assessment? Or, did the CIA and CENTCOM conduct one and cover it up? The cover up conducted for apparent political reasons is criminal.
#6
Thisi is CIA leaking dubious info for covering its ass for yet another egregious screw up. The CIA is rotten and needs to be demolished and replaced from the ground up.
#7
/\ For Brennan to bring it up now in a CYA move is stupid and displays a craven lack of morals.
Absolutely true, but NOT out of character.
If the intel community (CIA) isn't sharing its actionable information with the military in real time - what good are they?
Please rest assured, "real time" sharing of anything simply does NOT happen. The only time sharing is assured is when it suits the Klingon's or when DoD is about to stumble over, or compromise something.
Why did it take the Times of all people to conduct an effective battle damage assessment?
The BDA was done, release authority was probably the hold up. Pushing the release up the track was done through media pressure. Foreign media publishing the BDA is bad juju. Better to flop it out on the table for examination yourself and avoid the larger embarrassment.
* Numbers 3 and 5, excellent comments by the way.
** Number 6. Please proceed to the head of the class.

In some way the guy I feel sorry for is the one who pulled the trigger on the drone. He was told that it was a legitimate target. From what he could see, the target was loading something into the car.
Then it turned out to be an aid worker with a car full of kids.
If it were me, I would be consumed with guilt. He will probably need therapy.

I nominate California GOP Rep. Darrell Issa for the Presidential Medal of Freedom but should not be awarded by a fraudulent office holder such as Biden.

[TRENDINGPOLITICS] Extreme liberal the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964... Mayor London Breed was caught partying maskless at a packed club on Wednesday night. The mayor was singing, dancing and going crazy.
The shocking video footage is confusing many San Fransisco citizens considering just a few weeks ago, Breed issued a citywide indoor mask mandate.
"You know wear your mask, look at the environment, and be aware that COVID is still out there," Mayor Breed previously said.
To make matters worse, Breed wasn’t attending a toned down dinner with a small group of friends. She was partying in a packed room for a surprise performance by Bay Area R&B group, Tony! Toni! Toné!, at the Black Cat. Everyone was maskless.
[PJMedia] The controversy over the efficacy and safety of the COVID vaccines and boosters, and the validity of vaccine passports, seems only to have grown more pronounced and, indeed, more vehement with every passing week. The apologists for the vaccines—political leaders, medical "experts" (usually government-affiliated), the media and the punditocracy—have deposed that everyone must be vaccinated, unleashing an army of "fact-checkers" to torpedo any dissident argument and call the credentials and bona fides of highly accredited objectors into question, that is, when they are not being summarily censored.
The legacy press, as to be expected, is busy advancing the staple narrative of the official echelons. There are very few exceptions. I have just come across a particularly egregious and representative sample of such sanctimonious special pleading by Jonathan Kay in Canada’s National Post, worth attending to as an example of hack opportunism to be met with almost everywhere in the mainstream media. The moving finger writes, but in the case of the majority of journalists, only after it has gauged the direction of the wind.
As for our politicians and public health bureaucracies, they have put all their eggs in the mRNA vaccine basket and are now incapable of responding honestly to the bankruptcy of their policies. Their only strategy is to double down on their failure and persist in terrifying a gullible citizenry.

Like I have been saying for over a year now.
The whole "official word" covering the Who, What, When, Where and How long. Regarding the Covid-19/21 virus and it handling and vaccination process.
Has been a constantly moving target and that constant change has only bred distrust in any "NEW" weekly information.

[IsraelTimes] Reports say US administration to withhold $130 million in assistance unless Cairo meets certain standards on human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
The Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft ...the collection of boodlers, grifters, hangers-on, and self-proclaimed experts affiliated with the Biden Crime Family. Entrusted with an entire nation as the result of a suspicious election, they set about happily implementing stuff they absorbed in college, all of which blew up and splattered the rest of us... has decided to withhold some military assistance to Egypt due to human rights concerns, according to reports Monday.
Of the $1.3 billion in American military aid given each year to Cairo, $300 million is conditioned on Egypt meeting certain human rights standards, though administrations have typically issued a waiver to allow the assistance to be transferred.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is planning on issuing a waiver for $170 million in aid, Politico reported, with the remaining $130 million frozen unless Egypt meets benchmarks on human rights.
Unnamed officials told the Washington Post those conditions include ending prosecutions of rights and civil society groups, as well as the dropping of charges against 16 individuals whose cases the US has raised with Egypt.
"If they complete the human rights criteria that we laid out for the Egyptians, they also get the $130 million," a US official was quoted as saying.
There was no official response from the administration to the reports, which described the move as a middle ground between calls to get tough on Cairo for alleged rights violations and Egypt’s role as a key US regional partner.
[THECONSERVATIVETREEHOUSE] Some interesting developments in the ongoing Arizona Senate audit of the dubious Maricopa County election outcome. [Red State] Yesterday, the Pentagon and White House finally admitted that they didn’t hit ISIS-K fighters when they droned a vehicle in Kabul last month. Instead, seven children were part of the death toll and no enemy combatants were struck.
At the time, the Biden administration took an inexcusable victory lap, calling it a "righteous strike" while using it as proof that the president’s claim of "over the horizon" capability was proven to be highly effective. Keep in mind, this was after 13 Americans had been murdered by a suicide bomber just days earlier.
Last night, Tucker Carlson took to the airwaves to lambast the Biden administration for its rank incompetence and unwillingness to hold anyone accountable. While doing so, he hit on some very important points that I think are worthy of discussion.
Carlson begins with the most obvious fact: that this strike was done to make Biden look good. The Pentagon went all out in playing it up in the aftermath, claiming — with no equivocation — that "multiple suicide bombers" were killed. They also claimed to have seen multiple secondary explosions, something that we now know never happened. Also, in what may have been a veiled swipe at Fox News’ Pentagon stenographer extraordinaire, Jennifer Griffin, Carlson put up one of the claims she had regurgitated. In the end, every detail she reported without question was completely false.
At another point, Carlson played a montage of media analysts on networks like CNN and MSNBC lauding Biden for the strike, asserting that it was evidence that America’s ability to conduct counter-terrorism operations was strong. Of course, that "ability" ended up murdering children, in a strike that was meant to cover for the president’s asinine handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
What that once again illustrates, as Carlson points out, is how vapid our "expert" class truly is. These are career mediocrities who knew absolutely nothing about that what had transpired, yet they took to the airwaves to declare the strike a success simply for partisan reasons. There’s something especially gross about that, given how disastrous the overall situation was and continues to be.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Indonesia’s most wanted bully boy with ties to ISIS was killed Saturday in a shootout with security forces, the military said, in a victory for the counterterrorism campaign against snuffies in the jungles of Sulawesi island.
Ali Kalora was one of two holy warriors killed in the shootout, said Central Sulawesi’s regional military chief Brig. Gen. Farid Makruf. He identified the other suspected murderous Moslem as Jaka Ramadan.
The two men were fatally shot during a raid late Saturday by a joint team of military and coppers in Central Sulawesi province’s mountainous Parigi Moutong district, Makruf said. It borders Poso district, considered an murderous Moslem hotbed in the province.
"Ali Kalora was the most wanted terrorist and leader of MIT," Makruf said, referring to the Indonesian acronym of the East Indonesia Mujahideen network, an murderous Moslem bully boy group that pledged allegiance to the ISIS in 2014.
He said that security forces were searching for the four remaining members of the group.
The East Indonesia Mujahideen
..also Eastern Indonesia Mujahideen, known locally as Mujahidin Indonesia Timur (MIT). One of two ISIS provinces in Indonesia, they swore allegiance to ISIS in 2014...
has grabbed credit for several killings of coppers and minority Christians.
Security operations in Central Sulawesi have intensified in recent months to try to capture members of the network, particularly targeting Ali Kalora, the group’s leader.
Kalora had eluded capture for more than a decade. He took over from Abu Wardah Santoso, who was killed by security forces in July 2016. Dozens of other leaders and members of the group have been killed or captured since then.
In May, the holy warriors killed four Christians in Kalemago village in Poso district, including one who was beheaded. Authorities said the attack was in Dire Revenge for the killing in March of two bully boys, including Santoso’s son.
Indonesia, the world’s most populous Moslem-majority nation, has kept up a crackdown on holy warriors since bombings on the tourist island of Bali in 2002 killed 202 people, mostly foreigners.
Indonesian security forces on Saturday said they shot dead a man believed to be an Islamic State-linked militant group’s leader, reducing the outfit to four people.
Two bodies, believed to be of Eastern Indonesia Mujahideen (MIT) leader Ali Kalora and one of his followers, are yet to be recovered from the jungles of the mountainous Parigi Moutong regency in Central Sulawesi province, said Brig. Gen. Farid Makruf.
“There was an exchange of gunfire and two terrorists were killed,” Farid, the deputy chief of an operation to hunt down MIT suspects, told BenarNews.
“[They] are suspected to be Ali and Jaka,” he said, referring to the other militant suspect Jaka Ramadan.
The operation to hunt MIT suspects, codenamed Madago Raya, conducts regular patrols in Parigi Moutong and surrounding areas.
Still, the militant outfit in the world’s most populous Muslim-majority country has been a thorn in the side of security forces despite its reduced numbers from a high of 40 in its early years. MIT has survived in the mountains and jungles of the province of Central Sulawesi, terrain the group knows well.
The province’s Poso regency – that abuts Parigi Moutong – has long been a hotbed of MIT activity, and is an area that security forces find difficult to penetrate, Inspector Gen. Imam Sugianto, the national police deputy for operations, told BenarNews late last year.
MIT’s insurgency in the country’s Sulawesi region has its roots in a bloody Muslim-Christian conflict at the turn of the century, which left more than 1,000 people dead between 1998 and 2001.
The outfit pledged allegiance to the Islamic State (IS) group in 2014. MIT’s now-dead founder Santoso was the first Indonesian militant to pledge allegiance to IS publicly.
MIT has claimed responsibility for killing many police officers and minority Christians. In May, members of the group killed four farmers in Central Sulawesi. And in November last year, they killed four villagers living in a Christian community in Sigi regency near Poso.
The group is one of two pro-Islamic State groups operating in Indonesia. The other is Jemaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD), which authorities have blamed for terror attacks in the archipelago nation during the past five years.
In May, police said MIT had split into two groups in an attempt to elude authorities, with one group led by Kalora, active in Sigi regency, and the other under the leadership of Muhammad Busra, or Qatar, operating in Poso. Qatar was killed in a security raid in Central Sulawesi province in July, and with Kalora’s supposed death, MIT appears to be on its last legs.
Earlier this year, Farid said Ali and his followers wanted to turn themselves in to the authorities but feared reprisals after the faction led by Qatar threatened to kill their families.
Farid said intelligence suggested that Ali and Qatar had been at odds since the death of Santoso, who was killed by security forces in 2016.
Kalora had eluded capture for more than a decade, the Associated Press news agency reported, citing Madago Raya deputy chief Farid.

[REGNUM] In the winter of 1905, against the background of the revolution that had begun in St. Petersburg, news from Manchuria, where the war continued without much success, again became particularly acute. The apotheosis of the land battles was the Battle of Mukden, which began on February 6, 1905. With the success of weapons, the emperor pinned his hopes for the restoration of the authority of the monarchy, for victory not only over the external, but also over the internal enemy.
[AMERICANTHINKER] In the crudest crypto-censorship since dictators made newsprint unavailable, the Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft ...the gang of subgeniuses trying to pass themselves off as the adults in charge of the series of calamities characteristic of the administration of a mentally challenged geriatric case... tried to shut down Fox News's coverage of the border crisis by cutting off its drone access for camera shots, depriving the network of the ability to broadcast the actual news in pictures as it was happening on the ground. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which has never been misused in this way, claimed its two-week shutoff was all about public safety.
Here's the real reason: Fox News's original reporting, done by Bill Melugin (a must-follow on Twitter), documented a historic crisis building at the border as tens of thousands of migrants colonists swarmed into the U.S. near Del Rio, Texas. The photos were shocking and embarrassing to the Biden administration. The Bidenites wanted those pictures shut down. Coverage like Fox's was clearly making an impact on public opinion and had potential to force the Bidenites to take action to halt the unprecedented invasion or else face voter consequences.
It was crude, disgusting, and unprecedented, a true example of a state attack on the freedom of the press, and right there in the same family of repressions a dictator like Hugo Chavez would do.
While it was disheartening to many, the silver lining is that Fox didn't stand for it. Fox got someone else to get his cameras up there, effectively nullifying Biden's de facto censorship with the drone.
Wasting no time, Fox's Melugin got in touch with local law enforcement, made arrangements for a helicopter ride-along, and got the filming of the historic building border crisis done that way — no drones to howl about.
In so doing, Fox thwarted them. With this quick-footed shift in tactics, the Bidenites retreated on their two-week drone ban, likely recognizing that they had lost their war on news photos and couldn't shut down coverage with that sleazy dictator tactic. Fox got its drones back and, basically, cut Biden's narrative-masters off at the knees. The news was restored. The pictures got out. The public now can make an informed judgment about what is going on.
That's grit. That's winning. That's journalism as it ought to be known. And Fox deserves all the kudos out there for outwitting a band of thuggy de facto censors who thought they could shut off news photos from the public, no matter what was going on.
Fox was practicing what's called "reporting," and it's a refreshing spectacle.
They ought to get an award for this because this is scrappy, top caliber work. A fitting award would be the Pulitzer's gold medal for service in the public interest, because acts like Fox's undercut would-be government censors and make the entire press corps freer. This is what real journalism looks like. Let's hope we see more of it from other agencies. The age of the press sycophant is over.

Once upon a time, Frank Foer had integrity. As editor of The New Republic during the aughts, Foer did excellent work exposing Bezos's market manipulating, illegal behavior.

They used to have some islands called the Malvinas located where the Falklands are now. They're not supposed to cry for Evita... ’s President Alberto Fernandez announced a new cabinet on Friday in a bid to smother a political crisis that pitted him bitterly against his vice president this week after an electoral defeat in legislative primaries.
The reshuffle came one day after Vice President Cristina Kirchner wrote Fernandez to demand one, deepening the crisis gripping the ruling coalition after their poor showing in the weekend primaries. Ol' Spackleface is still around..
Juan Manzur, governor of Tucuman province, will take over as chief of staff from Santiago Cafiero, one of Kirchner’s most controversial officials, the presidency announced.
Cafiero instead became foreign minister, replacing Felipe Sola, who is in Mexico.
The new ministers joining the cabinet, who will be sworn in on Monday, are Anibal Fernandez (Security), Julian Dominguez (Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries), Juan Perzyck (Education) and Daniel Filmus (Science and Technology).
Juan Ross was also appointed as the new Secretary of Communication and Press, replacing Juan Pablo Biondi, whom the vice president had openly rejected and accused of organizing "off-the-record operations."
The government of Fernandez and Kirchner, herself a former president, has been going through its most acute crisis yet this week after the weekend’s legislative primary elections, in which the ruling Frente de Todos coalition won only 31 percent of the votes at the national level.
These results put the ruling party’s majority in the Senate at risk for the parliamentary by-elections on November 14, as well as any majority in the Chamber of Deputies, with two years of the Fernandez-Kirchner mandate still to run.

My book pick of the week
[B&N] Oh, the places we’ve explored with Mary Roach as the guide! The morgue, the afterlife, the bedroom, the battlefield, our own alimentary canals, and space. In Fuzz, we follow her gladly down the fraught path of human-wildlife conflicts. What to do when animals break laws meant for humans? Thorny matters indeed. Mary Roach, the science teacher we all wish we’d had in school, is never afraid to ask any question. "I’m here. I might as well ask," she states. That she unabashedly does so means we readers are by far richer for the delicious wildness and range of her curiosity.
Join "America’s funniest science writer" (Peter Carlson, Washington Post), Mary Roach, on an irresistible investigation into the unpredictable world where wildlife and humans meet.
What’s to be done about a jaywalking moose? A grizzly bear caught breaking and entering? A murderous tree? As New York Times best-selling author Mary Roach discovers, the answers are best found not in jurisprudence but in science: the curious science of human-wildlife conflict, a discipline at the crossroads of human behavior and wildlife biology.
Roach tags along with animal attack forensics investigators, human-elephant conflict specialists, bear managers, and "danger tree" faller-blasters. She travels from leopard-terrorized hamlets in the Indian Himalaya to St. Peter’s Square in the early hours before the Pope arrives for Easter Mass, when vandal gulls swoop in to destroy the elaborate floral display. Along the way, Roach reveals as much about humanity as about nature’s lawbreakers. Combining little-known forensic science and conservation genetics with a motley cast of laser scarecrows, langur impersonators, and mugging macaques, Fuzz offers hope for compassionate coexistence in our ever-expanding human habitat.

[DAILYWIRE] Some sixty people are still behind bars eight months after the January 6 disturbance at the U.S. Capitol. A Daily Wire review of court records shows unusually aggressive prosecutorial maneuvers, which sometimes brought rebukes by judges. For example, Jose Padilla has been detained since February. "Padilla is 40 years old and has lived in Tennessee for most of his life. He previously served in the U.S. Army during the Iraq War. After he returned home, he was diagnosed with posttraumatic stress disorder (’PTSD’) and began receiving disability benefits. Prior to his arrest, he was a stay-at-home dad who managed his family’s household affairs and cared for his three sons during the day while his wife worked as a librarian. He has no criminal history or history of substance abuse. He also has no known ties to holy warrior groups," Judge John D. Bates summarized.
Prosecutors argued that his being a stay-at-home dad and veteran were reasons to hold him in jail.
The judge wrote that "the government contended that two features of Padilla’s background favor pretrial detention: (1) his role as a stay-at-home dad, which, according to the government, gives him ’idle time to . . . engage in conspiracy theories’ and ’[run] down rabbit holes through social media.’ The Court cannot accept the proposition that stay-at-home parents pose a greater threat to public safety. And although the Court agrees with Judge Faruqui’s statement that, as a former service member, Padilla had every reason to know that ’what occurred on January 6th was totally unacceptable,’ the fact of military service is complicated and can cut both ways."
The government also argued that his military service-induced PTSD was a reason to hold him, an assertion that the judge sharply rebutted — pointing out that if the government believed he was a suicide risk, it had done little to ensure he got help in jail.
So because a person staying at home can/might think. It is now grounds for violating The 8th Amendment to the United States Constitution states.
“Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.”
More and more the Socialcrat Junta is using a heavy hand. Time and Time Again they have demonstrated they will use political power over Constitutional Law.
That they have no problems violating the US Constitution and OUR Bill of Rights in their political quest for a USSA
[TRENDINGPOLITICS] Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Governor Gavin can't be Bee'd Newsom ...the Mitt Romneyesque mayor of San Francisco as it transformed itself into Poopville, currently governor of California as it transforms itself into Cinderland... ’s first move after he beat the recall effort in California was to sign legislation allowing lots to be subdivided which would effectively eliminate suburbs. They voted to keep him, two to one, they deserve him.
The legislation was obviously frowned upon by suburban voters. As The New York Times ... which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... reported, politicians were worried about "angering suburban voters, whose preferences for single-family home living have been regarded as politically sacrosanct."
SB 9 "was furiously opposed by homeowners and local government groups who said it ’crushes single-family zoning’ and would be ’the beginning of the end of homeownership in California,'" the Times said.
In a statement, Newsom’s office announced that President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Joe's wife and daughter weren't killed by a drunk driver. He didn't graduate with three or even two degrees, wasn't in the top half of his law class, and his daddy didn't come home from a hard day's work in the mines and play football with the guys. The NAACP hasn't endorsed him every time he's run. On the other hand, he did abandon Afghanistan... supported their decision to allow the subdivision of land which begs the question: Will Biden try to abolish suburbs throughout America?

Ghost towns as in China. Stupid is as stupid does.

There's a house in my otherwise older residential neighborhood that is being run on one of these "multi-family dwelling" models (illegally, I might add.) The police all know the address. They have been there to arrest some of the past "residents" for theft (from the very next house over. How dumb is that?) and most recently for having unlicensed exotic pets (monkeys.) The yard is a junk-yard / garbage dump in an otherwise clean neighborhood. It will be a neighborhood joke right up until there is a drive by shooting or meth lab explosion there.

[IsraelTimes] Girls, who played for the under-14, under-16, and under-18 teams, cross the land border dressed in burqas.
Members of Afghanistan’s national girls’ soccer team have fled across the border into Pakistain dressed in burqas, a month after the hardline Taliban ...Arabic for students... swept back into power, officials said Wednesday.
The group of junior players and their coaches and families had tried to escape the country last month but a devastating kaboom at Kabul airport left them stranded, someone close to the team told AFP.
"I received a request for their rescue from another England-based NGO, so I wrote to Prime Minister Imran Khan ...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree... who issued clearance for them to land in Pakistain," said Sardar Naveed Haider, an ambassador of global development NGO Football for Peace, based in London.
In total, more than 75 people crossed the northern border on Tuesday, before traveling south to the city of Lahore, where they were greeted with flower garlands.
The girls who played for the under-14, under-16, and under-18 teams crossed the land border dressed in burqas, Haider said, before they later changed into headscarves.
Afghanistan’s new rulers, which banned women from playing all sport during their first rule in the 1990s, have indicated that women and girls will face restrictions in playing sport.
Pakistain’s federal minister for information Fawad Chaudhry welcomed the women players in a tweet early Wednesday morning.
"We welcome Afghanistan Women football team they arrived at Torkham Border from Afghanistan. The players were in possession of valid Afghanistan Passport, Pakistain visa and were received by Nouman Nadeem of PFF," Chaudhry tweeted.
Pakistain’s prime minister is a former international cricketing star and sports hero among Paks.
Tens of thousands of Afghan nationals have fled the country since the Taliban seized power, fearing reprisal attacks or repression.
In Kabardino-Balkaria, by 15:00 on September 18, over 50% of voters had voted. The total number of those who took part in the elections to the State Duma of the eighth convocation was, according to the Central Election Commission, 273,206 people.
As a reminder, the previous voting day ended in Kabardino-Balkaria with a turnout of 35.21 percent. The number of voters who came to the ballot boxes to fulfill their civic duty was 189,679 people.
As reported by IA REGNUM , among those who voted on the second day of elections in the republic was the head of Kabardino-Balkaria Kazbek Kokov . He and his family came to polling station No. 123, located in the building of gymnasium No. 1 in the city of Nalchik.
More than half of the voters took part in the voting, the Election Commission of Kabardino-Balkaria reported. At the same time, observers in Nalchik indicated a low turnout at their polling stations.
As "Caucasian Knot" wrote, the head of Yabloko's registrar in Kabardino-Balkaria, who personally visited several polling stations in Nalchik on September 17, concluded that the turnout was low. At three polling stations visited by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent in the middle of the day, from one to 12 people voted per hour.
From 17 to 19 September in Kabardino-Balkaria, elections of deputies of the State Duma and deputies of representative bodies of local self-government are being held, including the elections of the Council of Local Self-Government of Nalchik, according to the statement of the "Caucasian Knot"
"Residents of Nalchik are not interested in city elections and do not know their deputies, since they do not consider the local council an independent authority," the head of the regional branch of Yabloko and the general director of the republican public organization People's Control said earlier.
Today, on the second day of voting, observers of all three polling stations visited by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent noted a low voter turnout. So, by 1000 hrs at polling station No. 131, according to observers, only 21 people voted. There were three observers at the polling station - one from the Communist Party and two from the Public Chamber. At the entrance, voters were given masks, gloves, and their hands were disinfected.
At polling station No. 120, located in the Palace of Trade Unions in Nalchik, at about 12:00 there were only a few voters. An observer from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Aleksey Aliferenko, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that in the morning he counted 60 voters. At the same time, according to him, on September 17, from morning to 11:00, more than 1,200 people voted.
"The members of the precinct commission worked without raising their heads," Aliferenko said. He pointed out that the voters were mainly people in the form of law enforcement officers, since the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Nalchik and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic are located nearby, as well as a number of other state institutions.
The observer from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation noted that he had not noticed any violations yet. He drew attention to the fact that the hole in the ballot box is so narrow that it is impossible to carry out the stuffing unnoticed.
"Even the three ballots that are given to the voter are hardly slipped through," he explained.
At the polling station No. 119, located in the building of the "Olympic" swimming pool, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent found the only voter. A member of the electoral commission pointed to a low turnout.
"Perhaps this is because today is a day off, and people go to the fair in the morning, and only then they will come to vote," he suggested.
The head of the regional branch of the Yabloko party, Khakim Kuchmezov, also stated that the turnout is still low.
"I have people at two polling stations. They tell me about a low turnout. According to my people, in the morning the turnout averaged 20 people per hour at each polling station. 380 people voted in two days. Our peoples are indifferent even to their own fate. Here’s hoping the good guys win, whoever they are. If we’re going to be unstable for the next little while, it would be awfully nice if Russia isn’t.
Shurat HaDin’s win sets a precedent, to be sure, but what odds the Israeli government will actually pry the money out of Hamas coffers?
[IsraelTimes] Legal group that filed suit for relatives of Naftali Fraenkel, Gil-ad Shaar and Eyal Yifrach slams the sum as insufficient: ’This is not how to deter a terror organization’.
An Israeli court on Monday ordered Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", to pay millions in compensation to the families of three teenagers who were kidnapped and murdered by members of the Paleostinian terror group in 2014.
[NYPOST] A "career con artist" in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... stole the identities of young homicide victims to collect thousands of dollars in tax refunds and COVID-19 stimulus payments, federal prosecutors allege.
Katrina Pierce, 50, was charged with wire fraud and aggravated identity theft in a 34-page complaint made public Thursday.
Prosecutors claim her fraud scheme was first discovered in late 2019 by the Cook County Vital Records Bureau, which noticed Pierce had requested four death certificates in one day while claiming to be the sister of each victim, despite them having different surnames.
A subsequent records check revealed that Pierce had requested 37 death certificates in 2019, obtaining at least 26 of them, according to the complaint.
"The director then researched the backgrounds of the decedents and found that all of them were homicide victims, ranging in age from about 2 years to 22 years, from the south and west sides of Chicago," the complaint reads.
The director believed Pierce targeted her victims because they’d be less likely to have credit history and that she may have tried opening accounts using their identities, prosecutors said.
Amari Brown, a 7-year-old Chicago boy fatally shot in 2015, was allegedly among Pierce’s victims. She falsely claimed she was his aunt when obtaining his death certificate in 2019 and then used the stolen info to file a fraudulent tax return that led to a $4,407 refund check from the IRS ...the Internal Revenue Service; that office of the United States government that collects taxes and persecutes the regime's political enemies... , prosecutors said.
"Why would someone want to do this?" Amari’s aunt, Andrina Hailey, told WLS-TV, accusing Pierce of reopening the family’s wounds. "It’s very sensitive to us, and we just think it’s disgusting."
IRS agents went to Pierce’s listed return address in her applications in January 2020 and found handwritten notes listing the names of dead people as well as their manner of death, including "shot," "killed" or "stabbed," the complaint states.
Investigators said Pierce also sought personal information of decedents in St. Louis, including a homicide victim, to fraudulently obtain COVID-19 stimulus payments and a prepaid debit card in his name.
Prosecutors said Pierce had several bank accounts using various names to hide her scheme. She deposited nearly $84,000 into one of the accounts over a six-month period last year ending in December — or more than twice the amount of her total income reported on her tax return, according to the complaint.
Pierce was arrested Tuesday and appeared before a judge, who ordered her held pending trial, according to court records cited by the Chicago Tribune. Her preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday.
In 2012, Pierce was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for using stolen identities and other bogus documents to bilk more than $200,000 in federal tax refunds and state child care benefits, the newspaper reported.
Prosecutors at the time called her a "career con artist" who graduated from shoplifting as a teen before launching forgery, food stamp and identity theft schemes.
"Stealing was [her] full-time occupation and she was good at it," prosecutors reportedly wrote in her prior sentencing memo. Pierce was still on supervised release from the case when she was arrested, court records show. Her court-appointed attorney could not be reached for comment, the Tribune reported.

"career con artist" I thought that was synonymous with politician or 'journalist'.
