Another Major Part Of The Whistleblower Memo Called Out As False
[RedState] The whistleblower complaint imploded big time yesterday when part of it was specifically called out as false by a senior government official, according to Christina Ruffini, the State Department and Foreign Affairs Reporter for CBS News.

    Christina Ruffini

    @EenaRuffini
Scoop: Senior Govt Official tells @CBSNews Counselor to the State Department Ulrich Brechbuhl was NOT on the @POTUS call with #Zelensky, as the whistle blower complaint states.

    5,495 2:41 PM - Sep 26, 2019

Another problem in the story also emerged, according to Fox.

[A]ccording to the whistleblower complaint, by mid-May, U.S. diplomat Kurt Volker sought to “contain the damage” from Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani’s outreach to Ukraine.

But a July 19 text message conversation from Volker to Giuliani, provided to Fox News on Thursday, showed that Volker had in fact encouraged Giuliani to reach out to Ukraine — even sending Giuliani a message reading, “connecting you here with Andrey Yermak, who is very close to President Zelensky.”

Additionally, the complaint said Trump “suggested that Mr. Zelensky might want to keep” his current prosecutor general, a claim not supported by the transcript.

But now there’s even more.

The whistleblower complained that there was nothing at all sensitive in the call. So that there was no justification for thereafter secure storage system in the NSC. The argument was that Trump just didn’t want people to hear the conversation.

As it turns out, that’s also wrong, as Undercover Huber notes in a great Twitter thread.

A “White House official” is quoted by the whistleblower (WB) as objecting to the storage of the MEMCON transcript of @realDonaldTrump call with Zelenskyy in a secure storage system in the NSC. This was wrong (a cover up) because it contained “nothing remotely sensitive”. Nothing!

That’s categorically, 100% false. The President’s call with Zelenskyy contained references to both POTUS’s and the Ukrainian President’s opinions on multiple European countries and leaders, especially Germany/France and Merkel/Macron, as well as sanctions policy towards Russia

That classification was set because the diplomatic view of the United States (and POTUS) towards other countries and leaders can “cause serious damage to national security” if disclosed in an unauthorized way. In this case it could also damage the national security of Ukraine too

The administration also had another very legitimate reason for wanting to secure the information. Earlier in the administration, there were a lot of leaks they were trying to stop. According to ABC, more things were thus put in secure storage than previously.

So either someone in the chain of unreliable hearsay on the whistleblower memo was mistaken or someone along the way wasn’t telling the truth.

Cam Newton's Vegan Diet Is Probably Hurting His Play This Year
Anyone vaguely familiar with exercise or athletics could've predicted this, especially myself. My best estimate for my own road bike rides (200 lb. male, 23 miles in 1.5 hours) is a calorie requirement of 1,600 - 1,700 calories, in addition to a normal RDA of 2,200 or so calories. Many complex proteins required for muscle growth and repair simply cannot be replaced or replicated with a vegan diet.
[Charlotte Observer] - Cam Newton and Hannibal Buress walk into a vegan restaurant, and leave with a Ziploc bag of magic mushrooms and new perspectives.

Wait, what?

It’s true. Newton and his friend, Buress, a comedian, shot an episode of the quarterback’s vlog over lunch one afternoon this past offseason, live from the patio of Los Angeles vegan restaurant Gracias Madre. The episode ‐ appropriately titled ’Yo! This Vegan?’ ‐ features the pair trying flash-fried cauliflower in a cashew cheese sauce, with barbecue jackfruit carnitas tacos that easily could pass for pulled pork.
Cauliflower - it's what's for dinner - said no man, ever. Go grab some steaks, Cam!

Olde Tyme Religion
End the Children's Climate Crusade
"Climate guru Petteri Taalas: 'Climate change is not yet out of control, but the debate is ‐ It has the features of a religious extremism.'"

[PJMedia] So read the English translation of the headline of a September 6 news report in Finland’s financial newspaper Talouselämä (The Journal) citing an interview with Taalas, a PhD in meteorology and secretary-general of the World Meteorological Organization.

Perhaps nothing better illustrates the validity of Taalas’s concern than the use of children to promote the worldwide climate delusion, a scare for which there exists not a shred of physical evidence. Sixteen-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg is a case in point.

After crossing the Atlantic in what she incorrectly dubbed a zero-carbon yacht to address the recent UN climate summit, her actions mobilized millions of climate change demonstrators, many of them children, in more than 100 countries to join protests. In an angry speech at the UN, Thunberg told world leaders that they had "stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words...You are not mature enough to tell it like it is. You are failing us."

#1  If rationality held sway, we would not be talking about messianic children, modern monetary theory, globalism or borderless states. We would not be talking about making math "feel good" or about making illiterates feel good about their contributions to the space program. We would not be listening to Jenny McCarthy's babble against vaccines. We would not be talking about anything that is not immediately relevant to acceptable results in governance, science and individual freedom. But that would leave way too many on the outside they have chosen, not looking in, but looking for the next unicorn or false religion to embrace.

Europe
No, the president of Poland didn't say that Jews cause anti-Semitism
[PJ Media] In late June of 1941, my father's first cousins Moshe and Dvora fled their house in the tiny town of Kameny Most, about halfway between Slonim and Baranavichy in what is now Belorus. Hitler had launched Operation Barbarossa days before, and their home stood almost on the German-Soviet line that had divided Poland in 1939. Now the Germans had marched into town. The boy and girl, then 15 and 16, reached the woods behind their house before the Germans arrived. Their parents and baby brother fled a minute later, but the Germans already were there. They couldn't reach the woods and hid in the tall grass. A Polish neighbor pointed them out to the Germans, who shot them on the spot. Moshe and Dvora joined the partisan brigade led by the Bielski brothers, made famous in the film Defiance. Not long afterwards they returned at night, barricaded the neighbor in his house, set it afire and burned him alive. By the grace of God the teenagers survived the war and came to the new State Israel and started large and flourishing families. I had the merit to arrive at Dvora's deathbed in 2004 just in time to receive her blessing upon the American branch of her family.

I tell this story to make it clear that my family isn't soft on Polish anti-Semitism.

Anti-Semitism is a matter of the most profound importance, and Polish anti-Semitism is something I take personally. That is why it is especially irresponsible to accuse Poles of anti-Semitism falsely, as the Jewish Insider website yesterday accused Polish President Andrzej Duda. According to the website, President Duda told a group of Jewish community leaders assembled at the Polish Consulte in New York that hostile remarks by an Israeli cabinet minister about Polish anti-Semitism "were a 'humiliation' and were the reason for an increase in antisemitic attacks against Jews in Poland." It is wrong to cry wolf under any circumstances, and reckless to cry wolf where real wolves might turn up.

President Duda never said it. I know he never said it because I was at the meeting. For an accurate account, see Rabbi Shmuley Boteach's note in the Jerusalem Post.

Mini AOC is back and in full form
[RedState] Back in July, Kira Davis wrote about the left’s despicable doxxing of the family behind the cute "Mini AOC" Twitter account. The personal threats and invasion into their privacy forced the family to stop making the parody videos mocking the real AOC that made so many people laugh, but it was understandable. Safety first and all that.

But in the aftermath of liberals recently holding up 16-year-old climate change activist Greta Thunberg as some sort of unquestionable absolute moral authority on all things climate-related, Mini AOC decided she’d stayed in the shadows long enough, and returned.

Douchebag Reporter Who Tried To Ruin Good Samaritan's Life Is Now Playing The Victim After He Was Fired
It's the Bud light/black victims of Holocaust story
[RedState] ...Calvin is the noxious little BuzzFeed alum working for the Des Moines Register who wrote the story. His idea of doing a "background check" on King included going back into King’s tweets to when he was 16 and happened to quote a racially charged joke from the comedy show Tosh.o. This resulted in King being subject to a lot of public humiliation.

But Karma is real and, as it turned out, Calvin had a lot of very ugly stuff in his social media and it was from only a few years ago, after he was an adult. The Des Moines Register investigated him and today he was disappeared from that paper.

Two soldiers were also maimed in the attack in Bir al-Abed, the two security sources said.

Islamic State said 15 soldiers had been killed in the attack, in a statement carried by its Amaq agency. The claim could not be verified.

Egypt has long been fighting Islamist Death Eaters, who have waged an insurgency that has killed hundreds of soldiers, police and residents, in the northern part of the Sinai Peninsula.

Also on Friday, Egypt's Defence Ministry said security forces had killed 118 forces of Evil in north and central Sinai in the "past period," without giving dates.

Iraq
If US escalates tensions, Iran will target US troops in Iraq: ambassador
[Rudaw] Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
will not hesitate to target American bases in Iraq if the United States attacks the Islamic Theocratic Republic, Tehran’s ambassador to Baghdad said this week in a clear warning from a top Iranian diplomat and former senior member of the Revolutionary Guards’ Quds Force.
banging his spoon on his highchair
Speaking to Iraq’s Dijlah satellite TV channel, Ambassador Iraj Masjedi said that if the United States chooses to escalate already heightened tensions between their nations, then American forces will not be safe in Iraq.

"If they [the US forces] don't cause any problem for the Islamic Theocratic Republic, Iran won't respond to this presence [of US forces in Iraq]," Masjedi said in an interview aired on Thursday. "If the Americans want to cause any problem for the Islamic Theocratic Republic, they have to expect a response and reaction," Masjedi added.

There are about 5,000 US troops currently based in Iraq.

"A demand of Iran is for American forces to get out of the region because they don't do any positive or constructive work. This is not strictly about Iraq. It is about wherever they exist," said Masjedi.

Baghdad has repeatedly sought to prevent Iraq becoming a battleground between its allies and neighbours, a stance President Barham Salih stressed when he addressed the United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
General Assembly: "Terrorism is looking for a gap to rise again, therefore conflict and tensions in the region will create this vacuum that terrorism can take advantage of, so let’s make peace not war."

Iraq could, however, be dragged into conflict by pro-Iranian factions within its Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), known in Arabic as the Hashd al-Shaabi paramilitaries. Tensions have already spilled into Iraq, albeit on a small scale. Twice, in a little over four months, rockets and mortars have been fired near the US embassy in Baghdad.

The attacks have largely been attributed to Iranian-backed units within the PMF, many of which have called for US troops to leave Iraq. Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi has ordered gangs to cease their attacks.

The Iranian ambassador rejected the categorization that some PMF units may be acting on directions from Tehran. "If the Islamic Theocratic Republic responds [to an attack], they respond too. They can't accept Iran being threatened, but eventually this is their decision... no one can force them to do anything," Masjedi said, adding that they cannot prevent PMF units from targeting other countries in defence of Iran.

Ambassador Masjedi also gave lip service to Iraq’s independence, telling Dijlah TV Tehran does not intervene in Iraq’s domestic affairs. "Iran doesn't make the decision for these countries, but it asks them and suggests to them [to force US troops out]," he said.

Trump demands Schiff resign over account of Ukraine call
[THEHILL] President Trump on Friday demanded House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) “immediately” resign from Congress for reading what the congressman described as a parody of the president’s phone call with Ukraine’s leader that is at the center of a whistleblower complaint.

In a series of tweets early Friday, Trump accused Schiff of lying to Congress and “fraudulently” reciting a version of the call that made it “sound horrible” and made the president appear “guilty.”

“He was supposedly reading the exact transcribed version of the call, but he completely changed the words to make it sound horrible, and me sound guilty,” Trump tweeted.

“HE WAS DESPERATE AND HE GOT CAUGHT. Adam Schiff therefore lied to Congress and attempted to defraud the American Public. He has been doing this for two years. I am calling for him to immediately resign from Congress based on this fraud!”

Rep. Adam Schiff fraudulently read to Congress, with millions of people watching, a version of my conversation with the President of Ukraine that doesn’t exist. He was supposedly reading the exact transcribed version of the call, but he completely changed the words to make it...
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 27, 2019

...sound horrible, and me sound guilty. HE WAS DESPERATE AND HE GOT CAUGHT. Adam Schiff therefore lied to Congress and attempted to defraud the American Public. He has been doing this for two years. I am calling for him to immediately resign from Congress based on this fraud!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 27, 2019

Trump was referring to a moment at the outset of Thursday’s congressional hearing with the acting intelligence chief during which Schiff described Trump as saying on the call that he would tell Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky "seven times" to "make up dirt on my political opponent."

Schiff later made clear that he was summarizing what happened on the July 25 call and that it was meant "to be, at least in part, parody."

"The fact that that's not clear is a separate problem in and of itself. Of course, the president never said, if I ‐ if you don't understand me, I'm going to say it seven more times. My point is, that's the message that the Ukraine president was receiving in not so many words," Schiff said.

Schiff immediately hit back at Trump on Twitter on Friday, accusing him of engaging in "a shakedown to get election dirt from a foreign country" and trying to cover it up.

Iran releases seized UK-flagged tanker
Yes, we did have an article about the ship sailing off two days ago (see related article, below), but apparently now it’s really left.
[Rudaw] A British-flagged oil tanker held by Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
since July was released Friday and was heading toward the United Arab Emirates, the company that owns the vessel said.

Iran’s marine and port authority said the Stena Impero left Iran Friday morning. Hours earlier, the tanker had begun transmitting its location for the first time in weeks just outside the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas, where it had been held since its July 19 seizure.

The head of the Swedish shipping firm Stena Bulk that owns the tanker said it "has been a long wait" for the vessel and its crew to be released.

Company president and CEO Erik Hanell said the ship’s seizure "has meant an enormous pressure for us all, especially for the crew." The ship was headed to Dubai, where the crew would disembark and undergo medical checks.

Hannel said the vessel appeared to be in good condition and "hopefully it will be on duty within a week or so," speaking by telephone with Swedish television.

The ship tracking website MarineTraffic.com showed the Stena Impero heading south from Iran at a speed of just over 14 mph (22 kph).

Iran seized the tanker on July 19 in the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf through which 20 percent of all oil passes. The raid saw commandos rappel down onto the vessel via helicopter carrying assault rifles, dramatic images later replayed on state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe? The seizure came after British marines helped take control of an Iranian supertanker on July 4. Authorities in Gibraltar, a British overseas territory, seized the ship carrying $130 million in crude oil on suspicion it was breaking Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
an Union sanctions by taking the oil to Syria. Gibraltar later released the tanker, then called the Grace 1, after it said Iran promised the ship wouldn’t go to Syria.

That ship, renamed the Adrian Darya 1, later sat off the Syrian coast, angering Britannia. Iran hasn’t said who purchased its 2.1 million barrels of crude oil.

On Monday, Iranian government front man Ali Rabiei had told journalists the Stena Impero could leave. But the ship remained outside Bandar Abbas until Friday.

Earlier this month, Iran released seven crew members of the Stena Impero. Sixteen stayed on board.

Britannia has responded to Iran’s release of the tanker Friday by accusing Tehran of trying to disrupt freedom of navigation.

UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said the ship "was unlawfully seized by Iran."

He said the seizure was "part of a pattern of attempts to disrupt freedom of navigation. We are working with our international partners to protect shipping and uphold the international rule of law."

#12  I've used front loaders for 20 years, I don't have any issues. The current washer is a Kenmore Elite, I do NOT use the default Eco settings.

The washer gives me the option to custom tailor my settings over a wide rand. I also run an empty load every other week with the hottest water setting and a cup of industrial bleach. It is ~11 times stronger than household bleach. Front loaders are the way to go if you READ the instructions and adjust accordingly. The clothes come out of final spin with less water load, the dry faster. Less time in the dryer means the clothes last longer.

Syria and Iran to increase oil cooperation despite US-led blockade
[ALMASDARNEWS] Iranian and Syrian officials in a meeting in Tehran this week conferred on ways to further increase cooperation between the two countries in oil projects through the use of capacities in the private sector.

Syria’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Soleiman Ghanem visited Iran’s chamber of commerce on Wednesday, voicing the interest of his country’s private sector in joint economic activities with their Iranian partners.

Head of the Iran-Syria Joint Committee Keivan Kashefi and a number of Iranian economic activists hosted the meeting with Ghanem in Tehran.

Kashefi, for his part, said that the level of the economic ties between the two countries had not grown tantamount to their political ties.

"The private sector can play a key role in this regard by tapping the potentialities of the two countries," he said.

Kashefi said the presence of the Syrian official in Tehran could be considered as a starting point for oil and energy cooperation between Tehran and Damascus, saying Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and Syria had not had so much to do in this field together.

During the meeting, Ghanem said that his country had intended to exploit the Iranian experiences and capabilities in order to reconstruct their country.

In relevant remarks on Monday, Ghanem said his country was determined to enhance mutual cooperation with Iran in diverse areas of oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

To boost cooperation with Iranian partners, Ghanem paid a visit to South Pars gas field facilities in Asaluyeh, Southern Iranian province of Bushehr, on Monday.

Leading a delegation comprised of Syrian oil and gas officials, Ghanem was briefed by Managing Director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) Mohammad Meshkinfam about the gas field and the investments made on it.

Agreed.

My first reaction to the attacks on 9/11 was, "I wonder if we'll get the hint THIS time?" And when GWB uttered those inane words, "Islam is a religion of peace" I figured I got my answer.

I shudder to think what kind of Islamic atrocity it will take for us to figure things out...

Early reports of new Russian airstrike on jihadist positions in west Idlib
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Russian Air Force has allegedly bombed the jihadist forces in the western countryside of the Idlib Governorate this afternoon, pro-militant activists reported from the area.

According to their claims, the Russian Air Force bombed the town of al-Sirmaniyeh and its surroundings, which, if true, would mark the first time in a month that they have launched Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s over this part of the Idlib Governorate.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has not confirmed these claims and the last time Russian airstrikes were reported in Syria, Moscow denied the reports.

At the same time, the Syrian Arab Air Force is conducting raids in the area, with their attack choppers concentrating their strikes on the nearby town of Kabani in northeastern Latakia.

Al-Sirmaniyeh and Kabani are both under the control of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
and the Turkestan Islamic Party; these are two jihadist groups that control most of western Idlib and northeast Latakia.

Passenger says Israel deporting migrants to Egypt on commercial flights
[IsraelTimes] Eyewitness says handcuffed African man pleaded for help on plane; Immigration Authority says it is unfamiliar with the case.

Israel is flying West African nationals to Egypt, from where they are being sent to remote areas, an Israeli passenger who claims to have witnessed such an incident told Zman Yisrael, the Hebrew sister site of The Times of Israel.

"On Wednesday, July 17, I was on a regular flight from Israel to Egypt," said the man, who asked not to be identified. "One of the other passengers was an illegal migrant, an African civilian, who was bound hands and feet and was under guard."

13-billion-year-old galaxy cluster discovered
[TRIBUNE.PK] Astronomers have discovered a 13-billion-year-old galaxy cluster that is the earliest ever observed, according to a paper released on Friday, a finding that may hold clues about how the universe developed.

Such an early-stage cluster – called a protocluster — is “not easy to find”, Yuichi Harikane, a researcher at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan who led the international team, said in a press release.

“A protocluster is a rare and special system with an extremely high density,” Harikane said, adding that the researchers used the wide viewing field of the Subaru telescope in Hawaii to ‘map a large area of the sky’ in their search.
Distant asteroid calamity shaped life on Earth 466 million years ago

The discovery of the protocluster, a collection of 12 galaxies, suggests that large cosmic structures were present in the very early stages of the universe, which scientists believe was born 13.8 billion years ago.

One of the 12 galaxies is known as Himiko, a giant gas cloud found in 2009 by using the same telescope.

Newfound comet likely an ‘interstellar visitor,’ scientists say

“It is reasonable to find a protocluster near a massive object, such as Himiko. However, we’re surprised to see that Himiko was located… on the edge 500 million light-years away from the center,” the paper’s co-author Masami Ouchi said.

Russia ships more military equipment to Syria: photos
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Russian Ministry of Defense shipped more military equipment to Syria this week as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies prepare for a new offensive in the Latakia Governorate and al-Ghaab Plain region.

According to maritime shipping observer Yoruk Isik, the U.S. sanctioned Russian Pizhma fat merchantman recently transited the Bosphorus Strait that links the Mediterranean and Black seas.

The type of military cargo on the ship is not known; however, the Russian Armed Forces typically transport new equipment to Syria as new operations near.

The next major Syrian military operation is expected to take place in the al-Ghaab Plain; this will coincide with another offensive in the northeastern region of the Latakia Governorate.

The goal of this army operation will be to secure the Idlib-Latakia axis, while also putting their forces in position to strike the key city of Jisr al-Shughour near the Ottoman Turkish border.

Syria says Pompeo’s chemical weapons allegation is a ‘big lie’
[ALMASDARNEWS] Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem refuted the allegations made by U.S. State Secretary Mike Pompeo about carrying out a chemical attack in the Latakia province in May.

Speaking to Sputnik on Friday, al-Moallem described Pompeo’s statements, in which he accused the Syrian Arab Army of carrying out a chemical attack, as a "big lie."

On May 25th, an official source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said the fabricated and baseless news about the Syrian Arab Army using chemical weapons in the town of Kabani in Latakia countryside are merely the prelude for Western lies and hypocrisy that preempts leveling threats against the Syrian state.

The chemical weapons attack was first reported by the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else

How artificial intelligence is transforming the global battle against human trafficking
A taste:
[FoxNews] Each year, human trafficking generates more than $150 billion in profits – at the expense of human life – with children accounting for around a third of its victims. It’s a practice that operates underground in almost every country on the planet, and despite the resources thrown at it -- by law enforcement, non-governmental organizations, social media campaigns – it only seems to grow.

Experts on the topic say the tools used in even in the most developed societies fall far short of what is needed to put a dent in this grim and growing enterprise.

But artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML)? Those could change the game.

“Anytime you have to ingest large amounts of data and information, you try to identify trends and patterns, and it can be very difficult to do well,” Alma Angotti, a former U.S. regulation official for the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority told Fox News. “Typically, it has been a rules-based system – like flagging transactions over a certain amount such or with a certain amount of frequency. The problem with that is you can’t identify patterns and problems.”

AI and ML, Angotti said, have the power to analyze more than just financial activity.

“It can highlight social, economic and even political conditions from hundreds of thousands of sources,” she said. “For example, law enforcement can look at young women of a certain age entering the country from certain high-risk jurisdictions. Marry that up with social media and young people missing from home, or people associated with a false employment agency or who think they are getting a nanny job, and you start to develop a complete picture. And the information can be brought up all at once, rather than an analyst having to go through the Dark Web.”

Despite the potential, for now those tools remain underused, Angotti said.

QuantaVerse CEO and founder David McLaughlin said that while small steps are having a significant impact, there is much more that can be done. Artificial intelligence can follow the money created by human trafficking operations. That means that instead of identifying only lower-level human traffickers, the “beneficial owners” or kingpins of these operations can be discovered, he said.

“AI is better at finding suspicious financial activity than legacy technology alone. Today, banks are required by regulators to report unusual banking activity by filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to FinCEN. To do this, banks’ anti-money laundering (AML) teams currently rely on antiquated, rules-based Transaction Monitoring Systems (TMS),” McLaughlin explained. “Suspicious transactions are ‘flagged’ by the TMS and handed over to human investigators to determine if a flag should be reported to the authorities.

" Unfortunately, 95 percent of the flags produced by the TMS systems are benign and waste vital investigative resources. Even worse, TMS systems are missing crimes that are going through the banking system undiscovered.”

Joe Wilson, ambassador who opposed Iraq War, dead at 69
Divorced from his anti-semitic lying wife
[NY Post] Former Ambassador Joe Wilson ‐ who found himself and his then-wife Valerie Plame in the middle of a political firestorm when he contradicted President George W. Bush's rationale for the 2003 invasion of Iraq ‐ has died at the age of 69.

Plame, a former CIA operative who was outed in apparent revenge after Wilson blew the whistle on Bush, said the cause was organ failure. Wilson and Plame ended their marriage in 2017.

A veteran, 23-year diplomat, Wilson had been assigned by the CIA as a private citizen to go to Niger in 2003 and investigate reports that Iraq had been sold uranium yellowcake by the African country in the 1990s. Wilson found nothing ‐ and said as much in a New York Times op-ed headlined, "What I Didn't Find in Africa" in July 2003.

"If my information was deemed inaccurate, I understand (though I would be very interested to know why)," he wrote in the column.

"If, however, the information was ignored because it did not fit certain preconceptions about Iraq, then a legitimate argument can be made that we went to war under false pretenses."

Wilson's words contradicted Bush's contention in his January 2003 State of the Union that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

It sounds very similar to the current tactics being used today by certain operatives in the FBI and in the CIA with the collusion of the media to undermine the current administration trying to create a scandal to deny the president a second term.
The left are ruthless in their tactics and their lust for power and are very corrupt.

Intel Community Secretly Gutted Requirement Of First-Hand Whistleblower Knowledge
Tell me the Deep State fix wasn't in wrt the Ukraine telephone call whistleblower.
[TheFederalist] Federal records show that the intelligence community secretly revised the formal whistleblower complaint form in August 2019 to eliminate the requirement of direct, first-hand knowledge of wrongdoing.

Between May 2018 and August 2019, the intelligence community secretly eliminated a requirement that whistleblowers provide direct, first-hand knowledge of alleged wrongdoings. This raises questions about the intelligence community's behavior regarding the August submission of a whistleblower complaint against President Donald Trump. The new complaint document no longer requires potential whistleblowers who wish to have their concerns expedited to Congress to have direct, first-hand knowledge of the alleged wrongdoing that they are reporting.

The brand new version of the whistleblower complaint form, which was not made public until after the transcript of Trump's July 25 phone call with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky and the complaint addressed to Congress were made public, eliminates the first-hand knowledge requirement and allows employees to file whistleblower complaints even if they have zero direct knowledge of underlying evidence and only "heard about [wrongdoing] from others."

The complaint itself reads like it was written by a committee. He or she refused to step forward and be identified, it's based on heresay - and that was only allowed a few weeks ago...

#17  As a minor minor participant in the Nixon era circus of political power struggles I can tell you there was no where near the vitriol that Trump faces today. Huge swaths of the executive branch senior civil service appear to be in active resistance and even clandestine revolt determined to undo the election of 2016.

What is equally clear is that the power centers of the democrat party have an electoral strategy of revolutionary socialism and impeachment as their sole aim. A question I never imagined I would ask in a serious manner is what to do about that..

'Used and dehumanized': Dozens of boys found chained in Muslim “school” in northern Nigeria
[Rooters] More than 300 boys and men, some as young as five and many in chains and bearing scars from beatings, have been rescued in a raid on a building that purported to be an Islamic school in northern Nigeria, police said on Friday.

Most of the freed captives seen by a Rooters news hound in the city of Kaduna were children, aged up to their late teens. Some shuffled with their ankles manacled and others were chained by their legs to large metal wheels to prevent escape.

One boy, held by the hand by a police officer as he walked unsteadily, had sores visible on his back that appeared consistent with injuries inflicted by a whip.

Liberal Reform and Conservative rabbis to join White House High Holiday call after 2 years

"The overall sense was, regardless of how people feel about the president, that respect should be shown for the office of the president," she said.

Demonstrations continue in rural Deir Ezzor, protesters demand withdrawal of Syrian Army
[ALMASDARNEWS] Tens of people protested at the al-Salihiyah crossing in rural Deir Ezzor, Friday, as they continued to demand that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies withdraw from the area.

According to local reports, the protesters demanded that the Syrian Army and their allies fully withdraw from the eastern bank of the Euphrates.

The protesters said they want the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to replace the army in this rural area.

At the same time, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported about protests against the Syrian Democratic Forces in the al-Tabaqa area of al-Raqqa.

The Syrian government has previously called on the SDF to hand over the territories they control in the al-Raqqa Governorate, including Raqqa city.

Afghanistan
7 years in Bagram cost a Pakistani his youth -- and then, his life
[DAWN] Yusuf Hamid was only a teenager ‐ 16 years old ‐ at the time of his capture in 2007. Under detention, he suffered humiliation and [alleged] sexual abuse. The young boy underwent brutal treatment by the US officers and spent seven years in Bagram, Afghanistan.

After five months, he was sent to segregation where he was made to wear only his undergarments while cold air was blasted at him in the winter. He was made to endure sleep deprivation; if Yusuf accidentally dosed off, jail keepers would deliberately create a racket to rouse him, or they would douse him in cold water.

He also alleged that a female sergeant would enter his cell and touch his genitals. Yusuf also described her beating him, and then injecting him with a sedative that would make him lose consciousness. He suspected he was raped during these incidents.

Elderly widower duped into marrying transwoman
[TRIBUNE.PK] In a bizarre incident, an elderly widower from Upper Dir, district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was swindled by a conman by marrying him to a transwoman in return for Rs 150,000 in dowry.

According to the family, 55-year-old Jan Saaz – whose wife had passed away three years ago – met an alleged matchmaker in Peshawar, who promised to find him a bride.

The alleged matchmaker introduced Saaz to a transwoman, named Sapna, telling him that she was a woman. Sapna, on the other hand, was told by the matchmaker that Saaz wanted to marry knowing that she had been spayed is gender neutral.

The family claims that they had paid the matchmaker Rs150,000 in cash as dowry, while another Rs150,000 was spent on the wedding ceremony and feast. Nikah was solemnised in the presence of villagers.

However, on the wedding night Saaz was shocked to find out that he had been duped into marrying a transwoman. Sapna was also shocked to learn that the elderly man had been duped into marrying her.

In the morning Saaz took Sapna in a car telling his family that she had fallen sick and that he was taking her to her mother in Peshawar. He got her ticket and sent her off. Later he told the truth to his family.

According to him, he revealed the truth after sending Sapna off fearing that his family, friends and villagers might harm the transwoman.

The family is planning to register a case against the alleged matchmaker who according to them has duped both Saaz and Sapna.

Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
deliveries of air defence assets and radio-electronic equipment to the country, as well as the creation of an integrated system of Persian Gulf security, Federal Service of Military-Technical Cooperation Director Dmitry Shugayev said.

Shugayev stressed that Russia acts strictly in compliance with international regulations, stating that defence cooperation on offensive arms with Tehran cannot be started before October 2020.

"Before the UN Security Council’s sanctions expire, we can discuss cooperation on the following issues: air defence assets deliveries, creation of an integrated surveillance, security and defence system for the Persian Gulf coast, deliveries of radio-electronic equipment, modernisation of air defence equipment that has been previously delivered to Iran, deliveries of small weapons and munition", he added.

Although the current Russian-Iranian defence cooperation agreement has been in place since 2001, cooperation with Tehran is restricted by the UN Security Council’s Resolution 2231 and a Russian presidential decree, issued on 11 March 2016.

Bloomberg reported earlier this year Moscow had refused to sell Tehran its S-400 air defence systems due to the sanctions issue. According to the agency, Russia considered this decision to be too risky, as it could escalate tensions in the region. The Iranian Foreign Ministry, however, refuted the report, saying the country had no plans to purchase the air defence systems.

Shugayev, in turn, noted that Russia is ready to deliver S-400 air defence systems to Iran, but the Islamic Theocratic Republic hadn’t requested them yet.

Egyptian delegation said to make secret visit to Israel fearing Gaza flareup
[IsraelTimes] Concerned by political instability resulting from last week’s election, intelligence officials from Cairo meet with Israeli top brass and discuss security situation.

Fearing a fresh flareup between Israel and Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, in the Gazoo

Strip amid the political deadlock in Jerusalem, an Egyptian intelligence delegation paid a secret visit to Israel, Channel 13 reported on Friday.

The envoys from Cairo met with bigwigs from the Prime Minister’s Office on Thursday for the first time since the September 17 elections in Israel, which resulted in no clear winner. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday was given the first stab at forming a coalition, but the bloc of his traditional partners is not large enough to form a government.

Egyptian officials are concerned that the situation in Gaza will once again spiral into violence, and with only a caretaker prime minister governing in Jerusalem, Israel will have a harder time preventing the situation from escalating to a full-blown war.

There was no mention of the delegation also visiting Gaza. Egypt has brokered a number of truces between Israel and Hamas in recent times.

On September 10, two rockets were launched from Gaza, at Ashkelon and another at Ashdod during a campaign rally by the prime minister, who was whisked off the stage by his bodyguards to take shelter.

Haaretz reported that Netanyahu planned a large offensive in Gaza after the incident but scotched the plan after the attorney general advised him he would need to get cabinet approval.

Hours after the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu convened the heads of the security establishment, including IDF chief of staff Aviv Kohavi, Shin Bet head Nadav Argaman and Mossad chief Yossi Cohen.

According to Haaretz, Netanyahu, who is also the defense minister, sought an "extraordinary" and "far-reaching" military reaction to the rockets ‐ the nature of which was not disclosed ‐ but several security officials were hesitant to take such action.

On the day after elections last week, three mortar shells were fired toward Israel. The projectiles all fell short of the border, two of them hitting a home in the southern city of Rafah and lightly wounding seven people, according to the enclave’s Hamas-run health ministry. The third fell near the fence separating Israel and the Gaza Strip.

-Israel border fence on Friday, according to the Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw,-run health ministry, as thousands took part in weekly protests.

Sahar Othman, 20, was shot by Israeli forces in the chest near Rafah in southern Gaza, the ministry said in a statement, adding that 28 Paleostinians were maimed.

The Israel Defense Forces had no immediate comment on the death, but earlier said over 7,000 Paleostinians took part in the day’s protests with some rioters throwing rocks and explosives at the security fence and at troops along the border.

The rioters also burned tires and threw fire bombs and one Paleostinian briefly crossed into Israeli territory before immediately returning to the other side of the border. One military vehicle was lightly damaged when hit by an bomb, but no injuries were reported, the IDF said.

The army responded with tear gas and occasional live fire.

UN Special Middle East envoy Nickolay Mladenov, who has been involved in brokering ceasefires between Israel and Hamas, has continuously called on Israel to refrain from directing live fire at the largely unarmed protesters.

Last Friday, more that 8,000 Paleostinians protested along the Gaza border, with 76 of them injured by Israeli riot dispersal measures.

Muslim leaders call for polygamy to be legalised in Russia
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Moslem leaders have called for polygamy to be legalised in Russia in order to ensure 'women's rights' and reduce 'sinfulness and fornication' in the state.

Ildar Alyautdinov, the mufti of Moscow, told state-owned news agency RIA Novosti that allowing men to have multiple wives would help solve a number of social problems in Russia.

He added that there would be 'much less sinfulness and fornication, which is spreading so rapidly' if polygamous relationships were no longer illegal.

Alyautdinov also claimed that women are currently 'completely unprotected' in the social sphere due to the absence of Islamic Sharia law in the country.

'Legalising polygyny would guarantee women's rights', he said. 'It's important to create a legal mechanism of protection, so that women could become full-fledged second spouses.'

'This will help solve many social problems. In addition, there would be much less sinfulness and fornication, which is spreading so rapidly'.

Alyautdinov made clear he only supported polygyny, in which a man has multiple wives, rather than polyandry, in which a woman has more than one husband.

He said this is because there are 10 million more women in Russia than men, according to the Federal State Statistics Service.

In 2018, the Russian Federal State Statistics Service revealed 146.9 million people were living in the country, Russia Beyond reported. Around 68.1 million of these were men, compared to 78.8 million women.

Alyautdinov also claimed there are many women who remain single after becoming 'widowed or divorced'.

The mufti's comments come after Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, who is the head of the Spiritual Administration of Moslems in Russia, said he considered it 'appropriate' to legalise polygamy in Islamic regions.

Informal polygamy does already exist in some Moslem areas, including Tatarstan, Chechnya, Dagestan
...a formerly inoffensive Caucasus republic currently bedevilled by low-level Islamic insurgency, occasional outbreaks of separatism, ethnic tensions and terrorism, primarily due to its proximity to Chechnya. There are several dozen ethnic groups, most of which speak either Caucasian, Turkic, or Iranian languages. Largest among these ethnic groups are the Avar, Dargin, Kumyk, Lezgin, and Laks. While Russers form less than five percent of the population, Russian remains the primary official language and the lingua franca...
He said taking multiple wives was better than men 'having 40 lovers and not taking any responsibility' of them and any illegitimate children.

Responding to the comments, the Russian Orthodox Church said 'monogamy is associated with respect for the roles of man and woman and the recognition of their equal dignity in marriage'.

A front man added that the church believes relationships outside of marriage 'jeopardise the dignity of man and woman, destroy families and devoid both spouses of happiness', the BBC reported.

Europe
70 Per Cent of Austrians Say Islam Not Compatible with the West
[BREITBART] A new study from the University of Salzburg has shown 70 per cent of Austrians feel Islam is simply not compatible with the Western world.

The study, which involved 1,200 participants, found that Austrians were very concerned about the effect of Islam in their country, with 72 per cent going as far as to say Moslems were not a cultural asset for Austria, Kronen Zeitung reports.

Half of those who took part in the study said that they would be fine with restricting Moslems’ ability to practise their faith and nearly as many said that mosques should not be tolerated in Austria at all. A third say they oppose Moslems outright.

Another 59 per cent said that there were fearful of Moslems in Austria being Lions of Islam and 79 per cent agreed that Moslem communities in the country should be closely watched by authorities.

In August, the Austrian Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BVT), the country’s domestic intelligence agency, said that radical Islamic terrorism is still the number one threat facing the country.

#6  Hungary as well. Their anti-colonist wall has reduced the flow of invaders from 100,000 a month to under 200 a month.

India-Pakistan
India imposes tough new restrictions in Occupied Kashmir
[TRIBUNE.PK] Security forces imposed tough new restrictions in Indian Occupied Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
(IOK) on Friday.

Concrete and razor wire barricades went up across Srinagar and other towns in the disputed Moslem-majority territory, which has been under lockdown since New Delhi scrapped IOK’s semi-autonomous status in early August.

The Modi’s administration’s move has sparked new tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbours.
Barricades went up across roads and bridges in Srinagar as occupation forces in bulletproof gear guarded deserted streets following orders to stop any public rallies.

"The hospital is just a mile away from my home, but I have already walked three times the distance and am still not sure how long I need to walk to reach there," said Mudasir Ahmad, after pleading with soldiers to let him pass at one barrier in Srinagar’s old town.

Ahmad said he wanted to visit a sick relative at the hospital. He was one of many residents on the streets who were stopped and redirected by soldiers.
