Terrorist who murdered Rina Shnerb worked for BDS group
[IsraelNationalNews] The Ministry of Strategic Affairs on Wednesday confirmed a report by the TPS news agency that the head of the terror squad that murdered Rina Shnerb, Sammer Arabid,
...the PFLP bigwig from Ramallah whose name is elsewhere also given as Samer Mina Salim Arbid, Samar Arvid, and Samer Arbid...
worked as a clerk for the Palestinian Authority BDS organization Al-Dameer, which supports and promotes boycotts against the State of Israel.

Arabid served in the position at least until mid-2017, and his wife, Nora, has served as treasurer of the organization for the past two years.

Britain
Please America, take Meghan Markle back
h/t Instapundit
[Spectator.us] The great triumph of recent American politics is for the people of your fine country to have elected as president a man who is the precise embodiment of what supercilious Europeans think Americans are really like. Pig-ignorant, arrogant, jingoistic, contemptuous of foreigners, loud-mouthed, badly dressed and irredeemably bumptious. So consuming is the European antipathy toward Donald Trump ‐ he’s never read a book! He eats steak with ketchup! ‐ that it afflicts leading politicians across our continent, people who would be better advised to button it a while and show a little bit of diplomacy to the leader of the free world. But they can’t: the contempt always bleeds through.

This is one reason why I have a little bit of time for this gift you Americans have bestowed upon the world, Mr Trump. He enrages the liberal cretinati ‐ in other words, all the right people. And I sincerely hope you elect him once again.

There are other gifts you have given us which, frankly, I would much rather had been FedExed to the other side of the world as the consequence of some human error or computer glitch. Pre-eminent among these is Meghan Markle. Thank you very much for the thought ‐ but would you now please take her back? We’ve had enough and the maintenance charges impinge heavily upon such a small satrapy as the UK. We will of course chip in for the flights ‐ by private jet, naturally, although Elton John will personally pay for the carbon offset.

General not allowed to take emotional support mistress on deployment
[Duffelblog - Satire, Herb] JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, Texas ‐ A heartbreaking scene unfolded today at an Air Mobility Command terminal when staff told a general he would not be able to deploy with his emotional support mistress.

As the general waited to board a plane with the young captain sitting on his lap, an airman working at the gate asked for a note from a military doctor and the captain's immunization records. When the general could not produce the required paperwork, the general was informed she would have to leave the aircraft..

"He really lost it when we told him she would not be able to accompany him," said Senior Airman C.K. Blocker. "We gave them a few minutes to say goodbye, and there was a fair amount of heavy petting before we took her away. But I'll admit, even I teared up a little when the old man told us they hadn't been apart since she was just a young second lieutenant."

"But, rules are rules."

While mistresses are not commonly prescribed for emotional support, passenger terminal staff agree that they are not the most bizarre service animals.

Karma About to Bite Hillary Through State Dept Probe
[Victory Girls] Karma may be about to bite Hillary Clinton’s wide, umm, tuchas, thanks to a State Department probe. That probe surrounds ‐ you guessed it ‐ some emails sent to the unsecured server that she kept in her basement.

According to the Washington Post, State Department investigators have been contacting some 130 senior officials whose emails ended up in that server. They sent them years ago, so why does State need them now?

It’s because those emails have been retroactively reclassified and now pose potential security violations. Some contain information so sensitive that they should’ve been sent only on State Department classified servers. But Hillary Clinton obviously thought, as Secretary of State, that she was above silly things like maintaining security.

Naturally some Democrats are crying foul. One former official said that this is how Republicans "keep the Clinton email issue alive," and was a way to "tarnish a whole bunch of Democratic foreign policy people."

Another former official fumed:

USN Says Goodbye to the 'Blueberry' Camouflage Uniform
[MIL.com] MANAMA, Bahrain -- Sailors' last day to wear a blue camouflage uniform beloved by some and derided by others is here.

The Type I Navy Working Uniform, dubbed the "blueberry," will no longer be authorized for wear as of Tuesday, according to a timeline sent out by the Navy three years ago.

The eight-point cap is also being updated with the anchor, USS Constitution and eagle emblem stitched into the front-center panel, where sailors were previously allowed to put rank insignia.

Blueberries are being discontinued after an 11-year run. First introduced in 2008 as part of a uniform modernization program based on sailor input, the blue camouflage uniform was intended to be worn by enlisted and officers to "project a unified image/appearance regardless of rank," a Navy spokesman said via email.

#1  I have long said that if I had to wear "camouflage" uniforms aboard ship, they should be day-glo orange. If I fell overboard, I would want to be seen, not blend in with the ocean.
Why the heck are sailors wearing camouflage aboard ship anyway? If they truly wanted to be invisible, they would wear haze gray.

#7  My older brother (USN Vietnam Vet, ret.) told me that his first uniforms could be washed in salt water, rinsed in fresh water, hang dried, rolled up and stored in the tiny cubbies they had back then (when he came back on leave his sailor's duffel bag felt like concrete because he had it packed so tight with stuff!).

Then they issued the "One Uniform for All Services" that needed a locker w' hangers to look presentable. He was not impressed: "Nice uniform for Army and Air Force types with their barracks..."

Ukraine Isn't The Only Country Hunter Biden Had Extremely Sketchy Dealings With
[RedState] Given his drug addiction and getting kicked out of the military, I could be just talking about his dealings in the United States, but Hunter Biden gets around.

Somehow a guy with no experience doing anything has managed to land several lucrative gigs in foreign countries, making more in a month than most people make in a year. I wonder what could possibly be behind the stroke of luck the drug addled, womanizing Hunter Biden found himself on over the past five years?

Although most of the smoke surrounding the former VP’s son has revolved around getting paid $50,000 a month by a corrupt Ukrainian oil company, he’s also found himself tied up in dealings with the Chinese. Ironically, it looks like a mistaken phone call to the wrong Biden family member exposed the whole thing.
Biden's old style Democratic Politician?

Ukraine Set Up: Three Very Important Questions
[News With Views] The whole world has been in a frenzy the past week over what is so obviously a set up to overturn a legitimately elected president of these United States of America.

The media feeding frenzy for each one of these phony scandals keeps growing like bad weeds. If we thought the prostitute media ‐ an extension of the Democratic/Communist Party USA ‐ was bad for the Russia collusion hoax, then get Kavanaugh, this latest manufactured set up has those whores running lies 24/7. Like this headline on Yahoo:

"Unlike the Mueller report, much of the evidence in the growing Ukraine controversy that has fueled the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry is clearly in public view."

There is NO evidence, only hearsay.

The DemoRATS are running out of time for the 2020 election. Their stable of presidential candidates are nothing but socialists and some full-blown communists the American people don’t want ‐ except those who care NOTHING for this country or the U.S. Constitution. Only what gets into their bank account.

NWVs readers are involved Americans who seek the truth. I know millions of Americans don’t believe the bull manure being shoveled by the gross tons. Thankfully, I believe millions no longer believe the so-called mainstream media or Democrats who have clearly demonstrated for almost three years their only goal is to remove Donald Trump.

The hysteria by Democrat presidential candidates, the Hollywood crowd and sitting members of the U.S. Congress is not only unjustified, those partisan fools all need straight jackets. They truly have become dangerous to our republic.

I’ve worked my way through a hundred articles and commentaries about this latest what I consider sedition. Like millions of Americans I read the transcript of the phone call between President Trump and Ukraine’s newly elected president.

Ex-Attorney General Eric Holder butt hurt with Bill Barr Investigation of IC
[MAIL] The former-Attorney General Eric Holder has questioned whether Bill Barr's investigation into alleged misconduct by US agencies at the start of the Russia probe can possibly be impartial when it was ordered by Donald Trump.

Holder, 68, who served during Barack Obama's presidency, said the current attorney general risked 'paying a price' and sacrificing his credibility on Tuesday.

Barr assigned U.S. Attorney John Durham to pursue a probe into whether there was misconduct by the intelligence community at the beginning of the Russia investigation.

Speaking at an event in Fairfax, Virginia, Holder explained that Barr needed to be 'a little more sensitive to the appearance' given by having Trump involved.

He told Fox News: 'To see how the president is now involved to help the attorney general in that effort gives me pause.'

Federal judge blocks California law requiring Trump to release tax returns to appear on ballot
The Constitution provides all the requirements, not tin-pot Democrat state dictators
[CNN via 10News] A federal judge in California blocked a state law that requires candidates for president to disclose income tax returns before their names can appear on the state's primary ballot.

The ruling is a win for President Donald Trump, who is resisting efforts to turn over his tax returns in a battle largely playing out in the courts.
US District Judge Morrison C. England Jr. of the Eastern District of California on Tuesday wrote "while this Court understands and empathizes with the motivations that prompted California" to pass the law, "the Act's provisions likely violate the Constitution and the laws of the United States." England noted that it is not the court's role "to decide whether a tax return disclosure requirement is good policy or makes political sense."

The judge said the law would set a dangerous precedent and become a slippery slope for other kinds of disclosures. He also said it presents a "troubling minefield " that would permit a state to make its own demands.

Last month -- ruling from the bench -- the judge had signaled he was inclined to rule in favor of the President.

Ukraine's leader: Trump didn't use US military aid as lever
KYIV, Ukraine (AP) ‐ Ukraine’s president said Tuesday that no one explained to him why millions of dollars in U.S. military aid to his country was delayed, dismissing suggestions that President Donald Trump froze the funding to pressure Ukraine to investigate Democratic rival Joe Biden.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy is struggling to distance himself from U.S. politics ‐ and to contain the damage to Ukraine and his own reputation from a July phone conversation with Trump that unleashed a congressional impeachment inquiry.

"It is impossible to put pressure on me," he told reporters Tuesday. "Many people try to influence me," he said, but "I am the president of independent Ukraine."

Zelenskiy said that in discussions with Trump, he repeatedly stressed the importance of U.S. military aid to help Ukraine battle Russian-backed separatists.

Britain
UK: Gang of 16 knife wielders single-out white victims in Londonistan
[VOA] A gang of sixteen knife-wielding thugs robbed a group of young athletes in London’s Finsbury Park,
...home of Finsbury Park Mosque, whose pulpit was presided over by Ol’ Hook Hand himself, Abu Hamza al-Masri, now gracing the Florence, CO supermax prison. He and the mosque were connected to more planned and executed terror plots and jihadis around the world over the past several decades than you can shake a stick at, some of them Al Qaeda...
threatening to kill the three white people if they didn’t hand over their phones, but telling the black people who were with them "you’re good."

The six victims, reportedly the ’biggest athletes’ from the sports academy, were walking home through the park last Monday at around 8:00 pm when they discovered they were being pursued by a group of 16 males, the Islington Gazette reports.

"They were being tailed by one of them on a bike. Then there were 16 of them. They circled them and picked one off to the side and said: ’Give me your phone or I will stab you ‐ put in your Apple Pay password," Adrian Klemens, a coach of the Dynamic Sports Academy recalled.

"Out of our group three were white and three were black and they said to the black guys: ’You’re good,’ and just attacked the white guys," Klemens continued.
What odds, sociologically speaking, that the gang members are either black or “Asian”, dear Reader, and that this is just a little bit of local jihad? One notes that they are never described...
After the victim put his password in wrong several times since the account wasn’t his own, one of the assailants told him: "If you get this wrong again you’re dead."

Thanks to his athleticism and his nerve, the victim grabbed his phone and made a mad dash out of the situation. The two other white victims in the group ‐ aged 17 and 22 ‐ weren’t so lucky and had their phones stolen.

Britain expresses ‘regret' for killing Maori 250 years ago
WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) ‐ The British government on Wednesday expressed "regret" that British explorers killed some of the first indigenous Maori they met 250 years ago, but stopped short of issuing a full apology.

British High Commissioner Laura Clarke met with Maori tribal leaders in the town of Gisborne as New Zealand marked the anniversary of Captain James Cook and the crew of his ship Endeavour arriving in 1769.

Clarke’s words held historic significance but fell short of the full apology that some had sought from the British royal family.

Soon after Cook and his crew arrived, the sailors feared they were under attack after encountering Maori armed with weapons. But many scholars now believe Maori were likely only issuing a ceremonial challenge.
Never come to a gunfight armed with a ceremonial challenge, amirite?
The sailors shot and killed an important leader, Te Maro, and over the following days killed eight more Maori before a Tahitian priest managed to mediate between the sides.

The British High Commission said the exact wording of Clarke’s speech to Maori leaders would remain private, but that she would acknowledge the pain of those first encounters and extend her sympathy to the descendants of those killed.

Britain has also been returning some historic artifacts taken by Cook’s crew, including canoe paddles.

US AMBO to Germany Saves US Taxpayers $20 Million
[Free Beacon] The Trump administration's ambassador to Germany has saved the U.S. taxpayer some $20 million during the last two fiscal years, according to an announcement from the American mission in Berlin.

Under the leadership of U.S. ambassador Richard Grenell, the foreign mission managed to come in $6 million under budget in fiscal year 2018 and $14 million under budget in fiscal year 2019.

By streamlining operations and cutting down on burdensome bureaucracy, Grenell has been able to carry out the Trump administration's agenda abroad with limited wasteful expenditures.

"I believe strongly that American taxpayers expect efficiency and frugality from overseas missions. I am happy to report that after coming $6 million under budget for FY18, Mission Germany came $14 million under budget in FY19," Grenell said in a statement.

"Additionally, we zeroed-out all growth requests for the most recent Mission Resource Review, committing to a static budget through 2021," according to the ambassador. "Through continuous analysis of our operations and goals, we have been able to meet emerging requirements through efficiencies and reprogramming existing resources as needed."

Interesting Wikipedia page — he ticks more boxes than the usual American ambassador: Harvard’s JFK School of Gov’t, UN permanent representative for eight years, highly rated consultant, op-ed contributor for a broad range of very respectable MSM outlets from left of center to center-right, homosexual in a long term relationship, like our ryuge...

But he has been as outspoken about President Trump’s positions as his colleagues were for President Obama in previous years, which understandably ruffles feathers in Germany and elsewhere. Clearly it has not occurred to them to be grateful he has not openly organized, trained, and financed right-leaning opposition parties, unlike what President Obama’s ambassador to Israel did for the opposition to Bibi Netanyahu, and what I suspect the Democratic Party did again this year without waiting for American government sanction.

Man gored by bison sees date undergo same fate months later
[BBC] A man who was gored by a bison in June took a date back to the same place - only for her also to be attacked.

Kyler Bourgeous brought Kayleigh Davis to the same trail at a state park in Utah with plans to watch the sunset.

But when Ms Davis ran a little ahead, she ended up alone with a bison who charged and flipped her into the air.

She sustained a broken ankle from the goring and a leg wound. In the earlier attack he had suffered a cracked rib and collapsed lung.

Ms Davis has a cast on her right ankle and received stitches for the wound in her left thigh. She was released from hospital on Monday.

The attack happened on an established trail in Antelope Island State Park.

Witnesses reported seeing a bison strike Ms Davis with its head, "lifting her off the ground".

The 22-year-old was airlifted to hospital in Ogden, Utah.

Judge tells DOJ to charge McCabe or drop investigation
[The Hill] A judge told federal prosecutors on Monday that they needed to charge former acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe or stop investigating whether he lied to authorities.

Judge Reggie B. Walton said at a hearing that if prosecutors don't make a decision by Nov. 15, he would order the Justice Department to release internal FBI documents connected to McCabe's ouster, according to a transcript of the hearing.

"If the government has not made a call I'm going to make a ruling," he said. "This is just dragging too long. And those who have to make these hard decisions need to do it. And if they don't, I'm going to start ordering the release of information."

"I will not condone further delay," added Walton, a George W. Bush appointee who once presided over the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

"You all have got to cut and make your decision. It’s not a hard decision, and I think it needs to be made. If it’s not made, I’m going to start ordering the release of information because I think our society, our public does have a right to know what’s going on," he continued.

The comments came after Department of Justice (DOJ) lawyers spoke to Walton about the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit for documents on the FBI's probe of McCabe, according to The Washington Post. The government has reportedly said it would not release the documents due to their potential effect on law enforcement actions.

Soetoro Appointed Black Robed Tyrant Blocks Ga. Abortion Bill - Human Heartbeat Not Enough Evidence of Human Life
[Free Beacon] A federal judge blocked Georgia's heartbeat bill from going into effect, striking a blow against the pro-life movement that has seen significant legislative achievements repeatedly blunted by the courts.

District judge Steve C. Jones granted a preliminary injunction that prevents the state from enforcing a new law limiting abortions after a baby's heartbeat is detected, which typically occurs at six weeks. Jones said the bill potentially violates the privacy rights of women in the state. The ruling will preserve the state's existing abortion regulations until the court weighs the merits of the law.

Governor Brian Kemp (R.) signed the bill, dubbed the LIFE Act, into law in May. The law granted personhood rights to unborn children and banned most abortions with exceptions granted for cases of rape, incest, and health of the mother. Kemp said the law protects "those who cannot speak for themselves" and "reaffirms Georgia's commitment to life and the rights of the innocent unborn." The law was scheduled to go into effect on Jan. 1, 2020.

Lawyers for the Americans Civil Liberties Union challenged the bill on behalf of pro-abortion groups and requested Jones make a decision before the end of the year. Attorney Susan Talcott Camp argued any law that prohibits abortion before the point of fetal viability violates the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, which struck down state restrictions on abortion, as well as the 1992 Planned Parenthood v. Casey decision, which declared that state laws inhibiting abortion access were unconstitutional.

Deir Ezzor: Bomb kills three oil employees in east Syria: Monitor
[AlAhram] A kaboom Tuesday near a key oil field in eastern Syria targeted US-backed fighters but killed three workers instead, a war monitor said Tuesday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the earth-shattering kaboom occurred on the road outside the al-Omar oilfield, the country's largest in the eastern province of Deir Ezzor.

Al-Omar is under the control of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces who have been fighting the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group.

Part of the oil field is used as an SDF base, while workers have resumed production in another.

Tuesday's blast struck on the nearby road "as a vehicle transporting oil field employees drove by, killing three workers," Observatory chief Rami Abdel Rahman said.

"The bomb exploded at a distance just after an SDF patrol had passed by," the head of the Britannia-based monitoring group said.

There was no immediate claim for the blast, but IS often says it is responsible for deadly attacks in the area.

The Kurdish-led SDF expelled IS from its last patch of territory in the village of Baghouz south of al-Omar in March, but has continued to sweep for jihadist sleeper cells.

IS overran large parts of Syria and neighbouring Iraq in 2014, declaring a "caliphate" and implementing its brutal interpretation of Islam on millions.

The jihadists seized al-Omar that same year, before the SDF retook control a little more than a year later with backing from air strikes by a US-led coalition.

The air raids in 2015 destroyed the field, after the jihadists had reaped estimated oil revenues from it of between $1.7 million and $5.1 million a month, according to the coalition.

Poll: 7-in-10 Mississippians Want Bosses Prosecuted for Hiring Illegals
[Breitbart] Nearly seven-in-10 Mississippi residents said they want the chicken plant employers who allegedly hired hundreds of illegal aliens over Americans prosecuted for doing so, a new survey finds.

In August, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents conducted the largest workplace raid in more than a decade across five food processing plants in Mississippi, netting the arrests of 680 illegal aliens. That same day, though, ICE officials said they released about 300 of the illegal workers back into the U.S. on "humanitarian grounds," while more than 200 of the illegal workers had prior criminal records. Prosecutors say many of the illegal workers stole Americans’ identities to work at the plants.

Despite federal prosecutors alleging that employers were fully aware that they hired hundreds of illegal aliens to work at their plants, none of the owners or businesses have had charges filed against them.

Mississippi residents overwhelmingly support prosecuting the employers for hiring illegal aliens over Americans, telling Millsaps College/Chism Strategies pollsters that not just the illegal aliens, but the employers should be prosecuted.

More than 68 percent of Mississippi residents said the employers who hired the illegal aliens arrested in the ICE raid should be prosecuted, with only about 15.5 percent opposing their prosecution. Another 16.4 percent of residents said they were unsure of what to do.

Hundreds of Migrants Protest Conditions on Greek Isle of Lesbos
[AnNahar] Around 400 migrants colonists staged a fresh protest Tuesday against conditions on the Greek island of Lesbos, police said, two days after a deadly fire at the overcrowded migrant camp there.

A procession made up mainly of women and kiddies, with some elderly people, left Moria camp walking towards the port of Mytilene, with demonstrators shouting slogans.

They carried a stretcher covered by a shroud to represent the woman killed in Sunday's fire at the camp, which sparked riots the same evening. Another 19 people were maimed in the blaze, said Greek police front man Theodoros Chronopoulos.

The protesters were calling to be moved off the island immediately and for better living conditions, said Chronopoulos.

Greece announced on Monday it wanted to send back 10,000 migrants colonists to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

Mali Army in Major Clash with Jihadists
[AnNahar] A large contingent of Malian troops, backed by air support, fought Tuesday with jihadist fighters who made an incursion into a military camp in the country's fragile central region, sources said.

Two military posts came under attack at dawn on Monday at Boulkessy and Mondoro, towns near by the border with Burkino Faso.

The assailants at Boulkessy are "suspected members of Ansarul Islam",
...which emerged near the Mali border in December 2016...
said G5 Sahel, a five-nation joint taskforce created in 2014 to try to tackle jihadist violence in the region.

The Malian army has not yet reported an official corpse count, but a local official told AFP that two civilians were rubbed out in Boulkessy.

A military source said that Malian special forces had been active around Boulkessy.

"The fighting continues," the source told AFP.

The source said that air support was bolstering troops in Boulkessy, while reinforcements had left Mondoro.

"We currently have deployed a large amount of resources to take back two positions... in Boulkessy fallen into the hands of terrorists," said another military source.

A local official in a nearby town confirmed that he saw a Malian army helicopter headed towards Boulkessy.

The fate of numerous soldiers caught in the fighting remained uncertain on Tuesday, according to several military sources.

Northern Mali fell into the hands of jihadists in 2012 before the murderous Moslems were forced out by a French-led military intervention.

But much of the region remains chronically unstable and jihadist-led violence has spread to the center of the country, often sparking bloodshed between ethnic groups.

Neighboring Burkina Faso

and Niger have also been infiltrated by bad boys, at the cost of hundreds of lives.

Ansarul Islam has been accused of numerous attacks in Burkina Faso since emerging in the border region in 2016.

Police shoot Hong Kong protester in chest during clashes
[AlAhram] A Hong Kong police officer shot a protester in the chest with a live round on Tuesday after his unit was attacked by demonstrators during sustained festivities in the city, a police source said.

"An officer discharged his firearm after coming under attack and a protester was struck in the chest in Tsuen Wan district today," the source said, requesting anonymity.

The maimed protester received initial first aid from officers before paramedics arrived, the source said, adding the victim was then taken to Princess Margaret Hospital.

A Hospital Authority spokeswoman told AFP that 15 people had been admitted to hospitals across the city following Tuesday's festivities, one of whom was in a critical condition at Princess Margaret.

She would not confirm if the critical patient was the man who had been shot.

Two videos posted online showed the shooting and its aftermath, which took place in Tsuen Wan, a district where hardcore protesters had clashed with police throughout the afternoon.

Some half a dozen riot police can be seen clashing with around 12 masked protesters, some of whom were using umbrellas and metal poles to strike the officers.

One officer runs into frame with his sidearm drawn.

He kicks a protester before firing at near point black range into the chest of a demonstrator with a metal pole in his hand.

A gunshot can be heard as the pistol rears upwards.

The protester stumbles backwards and then falls over a police officer who has been knocked to the ground as the rest of the demonstrators run away.

A second video, filmed by Hong Kong University's Campus TV, showed the same incident from a different angle.

A third video posted on Facebook by student news hounds at Hong Kong's City University showed the young man lying on the floor, blood seeping from a wound to the upper left part of his chest.

"Send me to hospital," the young man, who gave his name Tsang Chi-kin, tells news hounds. "My chest is hurting, I need to go to hospital."

Footage filmed shortly afterwards by local broadcaster Stand News showed coppers treating the prone man, who by then had an oxygen mask on his face and his t-shirt cut open.

A dressing used to treat a sucking chest wound had been applied to his torso.

Paramedics later arrived on scene and placed the man, who was still conscious, onto a stretcher.

#1  I watched the video of the shooting. The clip was cut short at the beginning. But it was clear the protestor was beating the cop as the cop retreated to the police line. The protestor was hitting the cop on the head, back and neck with a stinger or pipe, when the cop turned and shot him. The shoot was justified in my eyes.

Army builds new body armor 14-times stronger in the face of enemy fire
[FoxNews] U.S. Army infantry soldiers prioritize physical fitness, but how much faster could they maneuver wearing new material that is 14-times more effective than current body armor? This goal forms the principal inspiration for a current Army Research Lab effort to engineer a new kind of lightweight armor -- intended to be 64-percent more impact resistant than steel and up to eight times lighter than current armor.

Scientists with the Army Research Laboratory and the University of Buffalo have begun laboratory experiments involved in restructuring microscopic materials to massively increase an ability to “absorb impact” and “dissipate energy,” Dr Evan Runnerstrom, Program Manager, Materials Design, Army Research Office, Army Combat Capabilities Development Command’s Army Research Laboratory, told Warrior in an interview.

The material now being tested, however, is designed to engineer a new kind of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) that is 10-to-20-times more resistant than off-the-shelf UHMWPE; this is accomplished through an elaborate scientific process designed to create “microscopic structural variations” in the composition and thickness of the material, Runnerstrom said.

These new variations are created, Runnerstrom said, by combining differently configured polymer strands into integrated “hard & soft” material. On one side, polymer strands are both elongated and hardened together -- while the other side is engineered to be softer and amorphous. This is done to generate a specific, high-value impact.

China-Japan-Koreas
North Korea, US to hold working-level talks on Oct. 5: KCNA
[AlAhram] North Korea
...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche...
and the United States have agreed to hold working-level talks on Oct. 5, North Korea's state news agency KCNA said on Tuesday, a development that would break months of stalemate since a failed summit in February.

Talks aimed at dismantling North Korea's nuclear and missile programmes have been stalled in a holding pattern since the second summit between U.S. President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
and North Korean leader Kim Pudge Jong-un
...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished...
in Vietnam ended without a deal.

The two countries agreed to have preliminary contact on Oct. 4, followed by the working level talks, KCNA said, citing a statement issued under the name of Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui.

"The delegates of the DPRK side are ready to enter into the DPRK-U.S. working-level negotiations," Choe said in the statement, using North Korea's official name, Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

"It is my expectation that the working-level negotiations would accelerate the positive development of the DPRK-U.S. relations."

Although North Korea has lately expressed willingness for working-level talks, messages carried by its state media attached a caveat that Washington should show more flexibility. North Korea's chief nuclear negotiator Kim Myong Gil said in a statement last month that the United States should present the "right calculation method at the upcoming talks".

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in September that Washington was ready to meet North Korean counterparts and believed it was important to do so, although ousted former U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton warned on Monday that North Korea had no intention of giving up its nuclear weapons.

NRA 1, San Francisco Board of Supervisors 0
[NRO] Remember last month when San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors passed a resolution declaring the National Rifle Association a domestic terrorist organization and ordered city employees to "take every reasonable step to limit" business interactions with the NRA and its supporters? The one that our David French labeled "a retaliatory public attack on constitutionally protected speech"?

The NRA sued, and lo and behold, San Francisco is backing down, before the suit even went to court.
Great. Now sue 'em for libel
In a formal memo to city officials, San Francisco mayor London Breed declared that "no [municipal] department will take steps to restrict any contractor from doing business with the NRA or to restrict City contracting opportunities for any business that has any relationship with the NRA."

The memo declares, "resolutions making policy statements do not impose duties on City departments, change any of the City’s existing laws or policies, or control City departments’ exercise of discretion."

"Through these actions and our public advocacy, we hope the message is now clear," NRA CEO and executive vice president Wayne LaPierre said in a released statement. "The NRA will always fight to protect our members and the constitutional freedoms in which they believe."

"The memo serves as a clear concession and a well-deserved win for the First and Second Amendments of the United States Constitution," says William A. Brewer III, partner at Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors and counsel for the NRA. "It is unfortunate that in today’s polarized times, some elected officials would rather silence opposing arguments than engage in good-faith debate. The NRA ‐ America’s oldest civil rights organization ‐ won’t stand for that."

The NRA is challenging a similar law passed by the Los Angeles city council that requiring city contractors to disclose any ties they have to the gun-rights group. Back in August, a federal judge denied a request by the city to dismiss the suit.
Sue them into bankruptcy.

Afghanistan
‘Join us in peace, or we will continue to fight’, Afghan NSA tells Taliban
[KhaamaPress] The National Security Adviser of Afghanistan Hamdullah Mohib has called on Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
to join peace or the Afghan forces would continue to fight.

Speaking during high-level debate of the 74th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
on Monday, Mohib said "To the Taliban and their foreign sponsors,
ooooohhhhh — he is talking to Pakistan’s ISI...
HEAR THIS NOW, a message from the Afghan people: Join us in peace, or we will continue to fight."

Mohib further added "And, as my colleague Ambassador Adela Raz said last week here at the United Nations: "This is a fight we can win.""

This comes as the Afghan and U.S. forces have stepped up counter-terrorism operations against Taliban and other turban and terrorist group across the country, specifically after the U.S. President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
called off peace talks with Taliban.

President Trump called off peace talks with Taliban group on 8th of September in reaction to a deadly attack in Kabul city which killed at least 12 people including an American service member.

Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, the congregants were being herded into the paddy wagon...
President Trump said his administration was pursuing the hope of a brighter future in Afghanistan.

He made the remarks at the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly late last month.

President Trump said "Around the world, our message is clear: America’s goal is lasting, America’s goal is harmony, and America’s goal is not to go with these endless wars ‐ wars that never end."

Furthermore, he said "With that goal in mind, my administration is also pursuing the hope of a brighter future in Afghanistan."

However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
he said "Unfortunately, the Taliban has chosen to continue their savage attacks. And we will continue to work with our coalition of Afghan partners to stamp out terrorism, and we will never stop working to make peace a reality."

11 Police Killed/Wounded In Balkh, Police Under Siege in Jawzjan
[ToloNews] Reinforcements have arrived in Shor Tepa, Balkh, but Jawzjan’s police standoff with the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
is ongoing and they are still waiting for assistance.

At least 11 security forces were killed or maimed on Monday night during a clash with the Taliban in Balkh province, local officials said Tuesday.

Monir Ahmad Farhad, front man for the Balkh police, said the incident occurred on Monday night in Shor Tepa district after Taliban fighters attacked the district police headquarters.

According to Farhad, during the clash the Taliban also suffered casualties, but numbers have not been confirmed.

Reinforcements have arrived in the area, and the district is currently under the control of Afghan forces, Farhad said.

The Taliban confirmed the attack and claimed that dozens of Afghan soldiers were killed in the clash.

In Jawzjan province, 30 local police and armed locals‐including the district governor and the district police chief‐have been held under siege by the Taliban for the past two days in the Darzab district of the province, officials say.

Lotfullah Azizi, Jawzjan provincial governor, said that the district capital is under the Taliban’s control and that the Afghan forces are pinned down close to the district bazaar.

Azizi said that so far no reinforcements have arrived to the area.

Hafizullah Nadrat, a member of the Jawzjan provincial council, said that if reinforcements are not deployed, the government forces will be captured by the Taliban.
An Nahar’s version of events in Shortepa district must have been posted earlier in the day:
At least 11 policemen were killed and over a dozen captured Tuesday when Taliban fighters stormed their headquarters in northern Afghanistan, officials said.

A column of more than 400 Taliban fighters on motorbikes attacked Shortepa district police headquarters in Balkh province in the early hours, triggering a lengthy gunfight, provincial spokesman Munir Farhad told AFP.

"Eleven policemen were killed in the attack. The Taliban also suffered heavy losses," he said.

Karim Khan, the Shortepa district chief, told AFP the Taliban had captured 13 other policemen and set the headquarters' buildings on fire before leaving the area.

In a statement, the Taliban claimed responsibility, saying their fighters had overrun the district.

The UN SG expressed his strong commitment to Afghanistan for enduring peace and stability.

Mohib on Monday addressed the 74th session of the United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
Assembly where he said that almost three million Afghans voted in the country’s presidential elections on September 28 despite the "threat of terrorism."

"We all voted not just for a president, but we also voted for democracy. We voted for our Constitution. We voted for freedom and illusory sovereignty. We voted for prosperity and connectivity. We voted for peace. We voted for the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Afghanistan," Mohib said.

Also in New York, Mohib met with the foreign minister of Turkmenistan, Rasit Meredow, and discussed bilateral issues, regional stability, development, and cooperation in the region.

Mohib highlighted Turkmenistan’s role in Afghanistan’s regional projects, Mohib’s office said.

Iran Issues Death Sentence for Accused U.S. Spy
Queerly enough, none of the names in the article appear in Rantburg’s archive, unusual for American spies captured in Iran.

...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead...
for an individual it has accused of spying for the United States, according to the Islamic Theocratic Republic's judiciary.

Iranian courts also issued jail terms of up to 10 years for individuals Tehran accuses of spying for the United States and the United Kingdom.

Iranian prosecutors in the country's notoriously corrupt legal system have requested that the accused U.S. spies be killed for their alleged crimes.

One accused spy, Ali Nafariyeh, "has been sentenced to 10 years of prison and fined with the payment of $55,000 for spying for the CIA benefit," Gholamhossein Esmayeeli, a front man for Iran's judiciary, announced on Tuesday in Tehran, according to the country's state-controlled press.

Another accused spy, Mohammad Babapour, is set to receive a similar sentence.

"Another individual, namely Amir Nasab, has also been sentenced to 10 years in prison for spying for Britannia," Esmayeeli said.

The individual sentenced to death has appealed the decision to Iran's court, though it remains unclear if Tehran will stay the execution.

"Members of the [spy] team were identified last year with strenuous efforts of the Iranian security forces and its agents were identified in Iran's sensitive centers, including the nuclear and defense centers and the country's public infrastructures and most of them were arrested," Esmayeeli said when the alleged spy operations were first announced in July.

Iran court sentences brother of president Rouhani to five years in prison: Report

Judiciary front man Gholamhossein Esmaili said Freydoun was placed in durance vile

Migrant, refugee death toll in Mediterranean tops 1,000 for 6th year: UN
[AlAhram] More than 1,000 migrants colonists and refugees have died in the Mediterranean Sea this year, the sixth year in a row that this "bleak milestone" has been reached, the United Nations
...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
said on Tuesday.

The U.N. refugee agency UNHCR called for Europe

an Union (EU) member states to reactivate search and rescue operations and acknowledge the crucial role of aid groups' vessels in saving lives at sea.

"The tragedy of the Mediterranean cannot be allowed to continue," Charlie Yaxley, front man of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), said in a statement.

The bodies of five migrants colonists were found on Morocco's Atlantic coast near Casablanca on Monday, bringing to 12 the number killed when their boat capsized on Saturday, the state news agency reported.

The EU struck a deal with Ankara in 2016 to cut off refugee and migrant flows to Greece from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
. Departures, now also diverted largely via Libya and other parts of North Africa, have fallen sharply from a peak of more than 1 million in 2015 to some 78,000 so far this year, UNHCR figures show.

"Of course the number of people attempting to cross the Mediterranean are much lower. So, that points to the fact that the journeys themselves are much more dangerous," UNHCR spokeswoman Liz Throssell told Rooters Television.

"It is also worth highlighting that 70 percent of the deaths actually occur on the central Mediterranean, namely people attempting to get from Libya across to Italia or Malta."

More than 18,000 people have bit the dust in Mediterranean crossings since 2014, according to figures from both the UNHCR and the website of the U.N.'s International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Facebook reverses takedown of 'Elizabeth Warren Wiki' page exposing her Cherokee and other controversies
[Legal Insurrection] The Facebook page went live in February 2013, at the same time that ElizabethWarrenWiki.org went live.

The takedown was based on the plainly false claim that the Facebook page violated Facebook’s "Impersonation" policy:

We clearly do not violate this policy. The Wiki page does not purport to "impersonate" Warren ‐ the title of the page specifically has "Wiki" in it indicating it is not purporting to be Elizabeth Warren. Beyond the title, the "About" section makes the following disclosures (which are what the Facebook policy says should be done ‐ see above)...
Mission
Elizabeth Warren Wiki's mission is to be the most comprehensive repository of information and links regarding Elizabeth Warren, United States Senator from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This Wiki site is not affiliated with Senator Warren or her campaign.

So the Elizabeth Warren Wiki Facebook Page in its title relates to Elizabeth Warren Wiki, which has been in existence since February 2013, does not purport to be Elizabeth Warren, and just so there is no confusion, has disclosures of the type Facebook specifically says should be made.

Nonetheless, the page was taken down without warning based on a false claim that it violated Facebook’s Impersonation policy.

The takedown generated substantial media and social media attention.

Iraq suspends consulate activities in Iran as two Iraqi diplomats arrested
It appears that the Mullahs have decided the seduction phase of their relationship with Iraq is over.
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) ‐ Iraq decided Tuesday to suspend activities at its consulate in the Iranian city of Mashhad after two Iraqi diplomats were beaten and arrested there earlier this week.

"It was decided to suspend operations at the Iraqi consulate in Mashhad after two Iraqi employees were beaten," Spokesman for the Iraqi Foreign Ministry Ahmad al-Sahaf told Sky News TV channel.

"Baghdad is awaiting an Iranian explanation on the incident," Sahaf added.

The two diplomats were arrested on Saturday in Mashhad after being placed under observation by the Iranian security forces, according to a written statement issued by the Iraqi Consulate General in Mashhad.

It was not immediately clear why the pair had been arrested or why their diplomatic immunity had not been recognized.

The diplomats were later released without bail.

One killed, 200 wounded in Iraq’s anti-government protests
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) ‐ An Iraqi person was killed and 200 others were maimed Tuesday in festivities between protesters and security forces in different Iraqi cities, the Ministry of Health said.

The festivities with demonstrators also left 40 coppers maimed, the ministry said in a press statement.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pie fight, Bella grabbed the cocoanut cream...
a government security body blamed rioters for the fall of victims, saying that some of them sough to stir up violence among peaceful protesters.

The Security Media Cell, in its statement, called on the demonstrators to exercise restraint and respect the right to demonstrate, which is guaranteed by the constitution.

Several Iraqi provinces have seen mass protests in response to online campaigns to express anger about the deteriorating situation in the country, topped by the lack of services, rampant corruption and high unemployment rates.

Some protesters rolled their eyes, jumped up and down, and hollered poorly rhymed slogans real loud in favor of Lt. Gen. Abdul Wahab al-Saadi, who was fired from his post as commander of the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Services (ICTS) last week.

The decision to dismiss al-Saadi and transfer him to work under the command of the Defense Ministry made a stir among observers, given that Saidi was a starring name in the three-year battles and subsequent victory against Islamic State

Rudaw adds:
Riot police used water cannons, tear gas, rubber bullets, and live ammunition to disperse the crowd of mostly young men, who covered their faces with scarves and flags.

Medics at Sheikh Zaid Hospital who spoke to Rudaw put the figure at three dead..

Firebrand Shiite cleric and Sayirun alliance chief Muqtada al-Sadr tweeted on Tuesday evening calling on the president, prime minister, and speaker of the parliament to launch an inquiry into what happened.

Among the protesters Rudaw met a unit of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), known in Arabic as Hashd al-Shaabi. Unlike other factions of the PMF which operate independently of the government, theirs was under the command of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense (MoD).

The faction complained of “marginalization” within the security apparatus, saying they do not get paid a government salary like their Iraqi Army counterparts and lack sufficient logistical support.

“For how long will the state turn its back on them [MoD PMF]?” one demanded.

Iraq’s second city of Basra also saw protests on Tuesday, according to the city’s Tribal Council secretary general Sheikh Raid al-Firieji. Security forces responded with “excessive force” and arrested protestors, he told Rudaw.

In the summer of 2018, protests over unemployment and inadequate water and electricity supply in Basra soon spread across the country. They were met with violent state suppression, killing at least 14 protesters.

A member of Iraqi parliament’s biggest political bloc warned Monday against the politicization of the protests by opportunists.

“We warn against the politicization of protests or its deviation from its legitimate goals and demands,” Rami al-Sikeini, a Sayirun Alliance MP from Basra, told Rudaw.

Last year’s protests dashed the hopes of former Iraqi prime minister Haider al-Abadi of gaining a second term in office.

Current Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi was elected as an independent candidate who does not belong to a particular parliamentary bloc, making him vulnerable to pressure from both the public and parliamentary forces.
An Nahar adds:
More than 1,000 protesters had descended on the capital before security forces dispersed the crowds with a volley of gunfire and tear gas.

According to medical and police sources, most of the wounded needed treatment for tear gas inhalation and some were injured by rubber bullets.

A health official in Dhi Qar later said that one protester was killed and two others were wounded in the southern province.

Demonstrators were cleared from Tahrir Square a first time but then regrouped, facing a steady volley of live shots, water cannons and tear gas from security forces.

More shots were fire even after the crowds had dispersed into adjacent neighborhoods.

Some protesters made their way towards Al-Jumhuriyah Bridge, which leads into the high-security Green Zone that houses government offices and foreign embassies.

Police had set up metal barricades and stationed trucks at the mouth of the bridge to prevent protesters from crossing, and a security source inside the zone told AFP that reinforcements were requested.

The gathering was the biggest demonstration against Prime Minister Adel Abdel Mahdi since he came to power in late October 2018, just months after demonstrations that engulfed the southern city of Basra last summer.

According to the World Bank, youth unemployment in Iraq is running at around 25 percent, double the national average.

Other protests in Nasiriyah and Najaf, south of Baghdad, on Tuesday saw hundreds gather in anger at poor services before also being dispersed by tear gas, AFP correspondents there said.

Since 2004, a year after the US-led invasion that ousted dictator Saddam Hussein, almost $450 billion of public funds has vanished into the pockets of shady politicians and businessmen, according to official figures.

Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Church to establish new monastery for nuns in Australia
[AlAhram] Pope Tawadros II has discussed the arrangements for establishing the new community. The new monastery is currently under construction in the Laura district of Sydney.
Diversifying is a good idea when the homeland can no longer be trusted — however well-intentioned President Sisi might be. If they’re smart, they’ll send scans and copies of all their holy books and records, and a complete photographic record of Church artworks as well.

#1  In the nineteen sixties Egypt's leader G.A.Nasir put trementdours economic pressure on Egypt's Coptic community. Many Copts sought to leave. America was generally closed off, but Australia put out the welcome mat. The result can be seen by the posting of article, above.

...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group, south of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
In a press statement, the ministry said that the Directorate of Hammam al-Alil Police forces of the Nineveh Police Command, based on arrest warrants issued by the judiciary and through the cooperation of citizens, managed to apprehend two members of the Islamic State terrorist.

... the current version of al-Qaeda in Iraq, just as blood-thirsty and well-beloved as the original...

Ukraine probes ex-prosecutor named in Trump scandal
[AlAhram] Ukraine on Tuesday opened a probe into possible abuse of power by Yuriy Lutsenko, the former prosecutor who figures in the whistleblower complaint against US President Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
Lutsenko, who was fired from his post of prosecutor general in August, is suspected of "abetting illegal gambling business," the spokeswoman of Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigations Anzhelika Ivanova told AFP.

The investigation was launched at the request of Ukrainian politicians, she said, without elaborating on the exact allegations.

Ukrainian news agency Interfax reported that the probe started after a statement given by David Arakhamia, a senior MP with the party of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The statement has not been made public but Lutsenko, who is currently in London, denied the allegations.
No, no! Certainly not!
"One must have great imagination to accuse me of what Mr. Arakhamia is saying," Lutsenko said on his Facebook page.

Last week Lutsenko wrote that the complaint against him for abuse of power made by a security services employee was "manipulative and untrue".

Meanwhile the US whistleblower complaint published last week claimed Trump attempted to advance his personal interest in a call with Zelensky in July, during which he praised Lutsenko as a good prosecutor and suggested he keep his position.

Trump and his allies claim that former US vice president Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...The former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body...
, his potential rival in the 2020 presidential race, pressured Kiev to fire a previous prosecutor Viktor Shokin in 2015-16 to protect his son Hunter, who sat on the board of Burisma, a gas company accused of corruption.

EU countries and the International Monetary Fund had also called for Shokin to be removed.

Lutsenko has said that he met with Trump's lawyer Rudi Giuliani over the matter, but that ultimately there was no reason to investigate Biden and his son under Ukrainian law.

The whistleblower complaint says earlier this year Lutsenko had made allegations regarding activities of Biden's family in Ukraine, and claimed that former US ambassador Marie Yovanovich obstructed Ukrainian law enforcement.

The claims have been echoed by Trump's allies, and Yovanovich was recalled from her post in May. She has now been summoned to be questioned by US congressional committees in the impeachment inquiry against Trump.
