Jim Acosta's White House Credentials Restored Temporarily After Friday Ruling
That's fine for now; just never call on him again...
[Zero Hedge] - The battle over Jim Acosta's press pass has been temporarily won by CNN after a federal judge ordered the White House to immediately restore the journalist's access, following a Nov. 7 White House altercation which resulted in the revocation of Acosta's credentials.

Trump-appointed Judge Timothy J. Kelly acknowledged that the White House credentialing process has a First Amendment component, and that the government must give Acosta due process before revoking his press pass.
What's next - the judge defining what constitutes 'due process'? What bullshit.

Faux News 'out of the closet' again, backing CNN's Lawsuit Against White House
[Breitbart] Fox News Channel announced Wednesday it will support CNN’s lawsuit against the White House over the temporary suspension of White House correspondent Jim Acosta’s "hard pass" press credential, revealing the company will file an amicus brief in defense of the partisan network.

Fox News issued a statement accusing the White House of "weaponizing" Secret Service passes for reporters:

FOX News supports CNN in its legal effort to regain its White House reporter’s press credential. We intend to file an amicus brief with the U.S. District Court. Secret Service passes for working White House journalists should never be weaponized. While we don’t condone the growing antagonistic tone by both the President and the press at recent media avails, we do support a free press, access and open exchanges for the American people.

In a brief statement shared to Twitter, CNN thanked Fox News for backing its lawsuit against the White House.

Are Smartphones Raising a Mentally Fragile Generation?
"Yes," says psychology professor Jean Twenge who says that the smartphone and social media are the cause:

...I think technology is part of the problem, but it is also the professors, parents and society that don't allow kids to fail and feel okay. Everyone is supposed to be a famous superstar and if you can't make it in Hollywood, you make it online with Instagram etc. Teens have such high expectations of themselves on one hand and a limited ability for hard work and perseverance on the other that it is no wonder they feel distraught.

This discrepancy between what a teen thinks they should be and what they are sets them up for depression and mental instability. Add in no real world experience and a lack of ability to handle failure and you have a recipe for an unhappy life.

BREAKING: Broward County Election Recount Finished, Then Invalidated
h/t Red State

...in the flurry to get the state-mandated machine recounts finished by today’s hard deadline the Broward County Office of Elections had staff working overnight and throughout the day to make it to today’s 3:00 deadline. Reports came in that Broward County had completed the recount well before the cutoff. It was a rare dose of skillfulness from Supervisor Of Elections, Brenda Snipes.

...Two main, and surprising, discoveries were made when today’s recount totals came in. First, in the three races being recalculated, as mandated by state law ‐ US Senate, Florida Gubernatorial, and Florida Agriculture Commissioner ‐ the totals came in nearly 2,000 votes fewer than the previous tally. Secondly, there was a significant gulf between the candidates. The drop in figures for each race is here:

U.S. Senatorial
Rick Scott: -606 votes
Bill Nelson: -1,385 votes

Florida Gubernatorial
Ron DeSantis: -621 votes
Andrew Gillum: -1,373 votes

Florida AG Commissioner
Matt Caldwell: -616 votes
Nikki Fried: -1,381 votes

...But then something happened. Given that the three races were seeing net gains for the GOP candidates an announcement was made that suddenly the recount totals were not being recognized by Tallahassee. The reports were that the submission was not made in time and, as required by state election law, the prior totals would stand as official.

...So just as the State ‐ and to a greater extent, the nation ‐ breathed a sigh of surprised relief that a protracted nightmare may have been averted, Brenda Snipes and her Broward County cohorts managed to snatch failure from the jaws of competency.

Caribbean-Latin America
More than 1,500 refugees and migrants (who were months away) suddenly arrive at US-Mexico border
[Independent] Hundreds of refugees and migrants that were part of a caravan travelling from Central America has reached the city of Tijuana at the US-Mexico border.

In joining the more than 750 people that had already reached the city, there are now more than 1,500 migrants - many of them are fleeing poverty and violence in their home countries of Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala.

Around 6,000 troops deployed by President Donald Trump are waiting on the other side of the border, having spent time building concrete barriers and erecting razor-wire fences to keep people out.

With US border inspectors at the main crossing into San Diego processing only about 100 asylum claims a day, it could take weeks if not months to process those who are part of the caravan that departed from San Pedro Sula, Honduras, more than a month ago.

Another 2,000 more refugees and migrants are expected to to arrive in Tijuana by the weekend.

Tijuana's factories are always looking for workers but the prospect of thousands more destitute Central Americans has posed new challenges.

CIA Keeps Having Disastrous Failures - How To Fix It
[FrontPage] Alexis de Tocqueville wrote that democracies would have a tough time with foreign policy, in large part because it was so hard for them to maintain secrecy. Recent events show how prescient he was. Indeed, the story reveals one of the most chilling developments in the history of our secret intelligence services.

You wouldn’t know it from the "news coverage," but the CIA’s global secret internet communications network was uncovered by Iranian spooks between 2009 and 2013 (that would be the first Obama term), thanks in part to Iran’s enlisting an American double agent who knew all about the system. A very big deal, as Yahoo reported and Breitbart summarized:

Moving down to the author's 'Fix'

What is to be done? Putting terrific leaders at the top of CIA obviously won’t do the trick. Pompeo, a good man, was director for nearly two years, and there is still no sign that the Intelligence Community is significantly improved. I’m afraid we have to go back to Daniel Patrick Moynihan’s prescription: shut it down and start a new secret intelligence service. It’s a big country, full of talented people. The analyses can be farmed out to think tanks and research centers, where much of the good work is done anyway. As for operations, much of the work should be done by the military, as General Flynn intended (this is one of the reasons CIA went after him, first at DIA and then again at the National Security Council.

And I have a scheme. Recruit young scholars and business people. Pay them to live abroad, and to befriend the next generation of leaders. That way, some years down the road, we will have agents in place who are on first-name terms with the top people. My own experiences testify to the effectiveness of this stratagem. I went off to Italy as a graduate student, and assimilated into the Roman political and intellectual worlds. One of the people I befriended was Bettino Craxi, then an unknown Socialist, who went on to become prime minister. One night it was urgent for President Reagan to talk to Craxi, who wouldn’t take a call from our Embassy late at night. But he did take a call from me, his old friend. It worked out. We need these informal avenues. CIA at its best has them, but not nearly on the necessary scale.

It’s not hard but it’s urgent work. Faster, please.

Emphasis added.

#1  The author refers to it as his 'scheme.' I believe what the author has highlighted is the need for a long-term investment.

General Mike Flynn saw the need for a long-term approach while serving as the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. His insistence upon the 'long-term', and his various attempts at investment and development of the 'long-term', ultimately resulted in his ouster.

The futility of continued crisis management and political motivated operations is evidenced in the rush to find and dispose of UBL, and the subsequent tragic events in 2009 at FOB Chapman in Afghanistan.

Needless to say, our government does not do very well when it comes to long-term planning and stability. Tragically, it tends to follow established election cycles.

GOP pushes Trump for new attorney general amid Mueller uproar
[Politico] Senate Republicans are urging President Donald Trump to quickly nominate a permanent attorney general, hoping a new top law enforcement officer will blunt bipartisan concern over the future of special counsel Robert Mueller and boost the GOP ahead of tough government funding talks.

Even after Trump’s latest attack on Mueller in a flurry of tweets Thursday, most Republicans argue the president will not fire Mueller or derail his investigation because the political consequences would be too great.

But they said that naming an attorney general nominee as soon as possible ‐ specifically one who would vow to preserve the Russia probe ‐ would go a long way in halting legislative momentum to protect Mueller and Democratic messaging that acting attorney general Matt Whitaker will undermine the investigation.

"If we had some confidence that there is somebody nominated that would be confirmed in a reasonable period of time, to me it seems like it would relieve a lot of the controversy," said Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn of Texas, who predicted that Whitaker, who was openly critical of the Mueller probe before Trump tapped him for the job, is "not going to be there long."

U.N.-backed court rules Khmer Rouge leaders committed genocide
[Reuters] PHNOM PENH (Reuters) - A U.N.-backed court found two leaders of Cambodia’s Khmer Rouge guilty of genocide on Friday, almost four decades after the ultra-Maoist regime which oversaw the "Killing Fields" was overthrown.

Most of the victims of the 1975-79 regime died of starvation, torture, exhaustion or disease in labor camps or were bludgeoned to death during mass executions.

Between 1.7 and 2.2 million people, almost a quarter of the population, died during the 1975 to 1979 rule of the Khmer Rouge.

The Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), said Khmer Rouge "Brother Number Two", Nuon Chea, 92, and former President Khieu Samphan, 87, were guilty of genocide against the Cham Muslim minority and Vietnamese people, and of various crimes against humanity.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Is Right about Amazon's Corporate Welfare
[NR] After a long process, Amazon finally announced that it will locate its new headquarters in New York and Virginia. Following the announcement, Representative-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted that "Amazon is a billion-dollar company. The idea that it will receive hundreds of millions of dollars in tax breaks at a time when our subway is crumbling and our communities need MORE investment, not less, is extremely concerning to residents here."

As a result of her tweet, conservative commentators all over twitter and on shows like Fox Business’s Varney & Co. are making fun of her. They argue that her reaction is yet more evidence that she doesn’t get economics and that doesn’t want New Yorkers and Virginians to get the thousands of jobs that will be created there thanks to the new headquarters.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Ocasio-Cortez is mostly correct on this matter, and her conservative critics are wrong. Handouts like this to Amazon and other prominent companies are appalling in their cronyism, pure and simple. I agree that she doesn’t understand economics and that her socialist ideal is a recipe for fiscal and economic disaster. But her conservative critics reveal their own economic misunderstanding when they support targeted tax breaks as a means of creating jobs.

First, let’s be honest. Tax incentives aren’t anywhere near the top of the factors that company considers when deciding where to locate. In all likelihood, Amazon first surveyed all available locations searching for factors that really matter most ‐ factors such as the presence of a skilled workforce, adequate infrastructure and transportation options (airports and a vast subway network), as well as synergies with other companies for the purpose of enhancing production supply chains and access to professional services. Once, it had a list of places that fit its needs, it might have taken under consideration the tax incentives.

Democrat Corruption is a Clear and Present Danger to America
[American Thinker] On November 6, it seemed the Republicans might hold their majority in the Senate and in the House. Sadly, they lost their majority in the House. The mystery is why so many Democrat candidates who are so obviously ethically challenged won in races that should not have even been close.

How and why do Democrats continue to vote for unqualified, dishonest candidates? Elizabeth Warren is a proven liar, a cheat who claimed Native American heritage in order to get a job at Harvard. Her baby, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, was her plan to wield control over all bank and non-bank institutions without Congressional interference.

In short, she is a socialist who means to control how Americans earn, spend and borrow money, how they use their savings. Warren is a blight on the Constitution and the guaranteed freedoms of US citizens. She is an advance operative for the socialist America the left envisions.

Andrew Gillum, the left's choice to be Governor of Florida, is the failed mayor of Tallahassee. He remains under FBI investigation for corruption. Given the information about that investigation that has been released, he appears yet another greedy and corrupt Democrat pol in the Hillary Clinton mold. The stability of Tallahassee declined catastrophically under his leadership; crime and murder rose drastically.

Planned Parenthood Lists ‘7 Ways to Be Gender-Inclusive in Your Language'
[Breitbart] To celebrate "Trans Awareness Week," abortion giant Planned Parenthood has released seven linguistic tips to help gender-sensitive individuals use terms that will not offend members of the LGBTQ "community."

Partnering with GLAAD ‐ formerly the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation ‐ Planned Parenthood has taken political correctness to a new level, leaving behind feminist inclusivity to remove all references to men or women out respect of for those who are neither.

Thus, the self-anointed language police have determined that "boys and girls" should give way to the more generic "children," while "his or her" should now be the more capacious (but numerically suspect) "their."

In their "Beyond the Binary" campaign, Planned Parenthood not only proposes ousting male-leaning terms like "guys" in favor of the more open-ended "folks," but they suggest that any limitation of human beings to the restrictive categories of male and female is inappropriate.

So, "the lady in the red shirt" should now be phrased, "the person in the red shirt," presumably to prevent people from thinking that a person’s gender is inferable from "their" biological sex.

Seven UN peacekeepers killed in eastern DR Congo fighting
[France24] Ten other peacekeeping troops were wounded, and another is missing, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said in New York.

Several Congolese were also killed or wounded in the joint operation, he said.

The deaths mark the biggest loss by the large UN force in DR Congo since the rebels killed 15 troops nearly a year ago.

Earlier Thursday, General Bernard Commins, deputy head of the MONUSCO force, said a joint operation had been launched with DRC troops on Tuesday against the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF),
...formed as merger of several rebel factions, including the Allied Democratic Movement, the National Army for the Liberation of Uganda (NALU), the Uganda Muslim Liberation Army, and militant members of the Tablighi Jamaat movement. The main figure of the group was Jamil Mukulu, a former Catholic who converted to Islam. The members were largely from central Uganda ...
a jihadist group blamed for bloody attacks on civilians.

The offensive aimed at Kididiwe, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) from Beni, a city of between 200,000 and 300,000 inhabitants, said Commins.

"We are holding Kididiwe at present, after violent fighting with an armed group. At present, we are evacuating wounded Congolese troops and Blue Helmets," he told AFP.

Mississippi Democrat Espy Received Additional Unreported $350K from Group Controlled by African Despot
[Breitbart] The lobbying firm managed by Mississippi Democrat Senate candidate Mike Espy received a second payment of $350,000 from a trade organization controlled by African despot Lauren Gbagbo on March 1, 2011, eleven days before Espy told The Hill he had suspended his firm’s contract with the organization and had only received a first payment of $400,000, a Department of Justice document discovered by Fox News reveals.

That document, signed by Espy on penalty of perjury, confirms that his lobby firm was paid $750,000 by the trade organization, Comite de Gestion de la Filliere Cafe-Cacao (Cocoa and Coffee Board) of Ivory Coast, and not just the $400,000 he told the Hill he was paid.

Gbagbo, the former president of Ivory Coast, is currently on trial at the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity.

BOOM! Ohio lawmakers pass pro-life ‘heartbeart' bill AGAIN after Kasich veto!!
[Right Scoop] Ohio has passed the "heartbeat" prolife bill again after Kasich vetoed it once already.

From the Hill:
Ohio lawmakers on Thursday passed controversial legislation that aims to block women from getting an abortion after a fetal heartbeat has been detected.

The Columbus Dispatch reported that Thursday’s 58-35 vote marked the second consecutive session in which the House passed the bill. It passed the House and Senate in December 2016, but was vetoed by GOP Gov. John Kasich.

"The point is, it’s time. It doesn’t matter if the governor is with us or against us," one of the bill’s sponsors, Rep. Christina Hagan (R), said. Governor-elect Mike DeWine (R) has said he would sign a so-called "heartbeat" bill, the paper notes.

The bill, which would effectively prevent an abortion after six or seven weeks of pregnancy, does not grant exceptions in the event of rape or incest, the paper reported.

Under the legislation, any doctor violating the bill could face fifth-degree felony charges, which carry up to one year in prison.

The bill is now on its way to the Ohio Senate, where it would need 60 votes to override a potential veto, according to the newspaper.
I’m not sure on what basis Kasich vetoed it two years ago, but it just seems like a good bill ‐ whether it’s politically viable is another thing altogether. I guess we will find out soon.

It must be noted that at the time Kasich vetoed this bill, he did toss prolifers a bone by signing a 20-week abortion ban. So it’s not all terrible.

Left wants a vote on single-payer bill in new Congress
[The Hill] Progressive Democrats are pushing for a vote on a controversial health-care bill after the party takes control of the House early next year.

But the left’s push for "Medicare for all" legislation would likely divide Democrats and pose a headache for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who is poised to become Speaker in the next Congress.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), who is co-chair of the Medicare for All Caucus in the House, told supporters on an organizing call Tuesday night that simply expressing support for the idea is not enough.

"When we have that majority, we need to make sure that we put it to use," she said.

Yet, many other House Democrats, including members of the leadership, are not on board with the idea of government-run universal health insurance.

Supporters say they are going to push for a vote and organize grass-roots efforts to pressure Democratic holdouts to sign on to the legislation. However, any floor vote would probably fail, with all Republicans and some Democrats rejecting the measure.

Republicans used Medicare for all ‐ otherwise known as single-payer ‐ as a leading area of attack on Democrats during the 2018 midterm elections. They touted a recent cost estimate by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, which put the bill’s price tag at $32 trillion over 10 years.

Brazil's new foreign minister believes climate change is a Marxist plot
[Guardian] Brazil’s president-elect Jair Bolsonaro has chosen a new foreign minister who believes climate change is part of a plot by "cultural Marxists" to stifle western economies and promote the growth of China.

Ernesto Araújo ‐ until recently a mid-ranking official who blogs about the "criminalisation" of red meat, oil and heterosexual sex ‐ will become the top diplomat of South America’s biggest nation, representing 200 million people and the greatest and most biodiverse forest on Earth, the Amazon.

His appointment, confirmed by Bolsonaro on Wednesday, is likely to send a chill through the global climate movement.

Brazil was where the international community first came together in 1992 to discuss reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. Its diplomats have played a crucial role in bridging the gap between rich and poor nations, particularly during the forging of the Paris agreement in 2015.

Ilhan Omar's Election Shows Democrats Aren't Interested In Confronting Anti-Semitism
[The Federalist] Ilhan Omar, one of the first of two Muslim women to be elected to Congress, is a new kind of politician. She’s telegenic. Ideologically progressive. Widely celebrated by a media that’s obsessed with identity politics. She’s the kind of politician who can openly side with Hamas against Israel or spread "Protocols of Zion"-style conspiracies on Twitter, claiming that Jews possess the supernatural ability to hypnotize the world as they unfurl their "evil."

It’s not surprising, then, that Omar also supports the "boycott, divestment and sanctions" movement (BDS). In a statement to the website Muslim Girl (later confirmed elsewhere), someone on Omar’s staff explains that, yes, "Ilhan believes in and supports the BDS movement, and has fought to make sure people’s right to support it isn’t criminalized. She does however, have reservations on the effectiveness of the movement in accomplishing a lasting solution."

So, although Omar contends that BDS will be ineffective in getting the sides to "a lasting solution," she stills "believes in and supports" a movement that smears the Jewish state as a racist endeavor and aims to destroy it economically. It’s a mystery, is it not, why some Jews might find that positioning offensive?

Omar has supported BDS for a while, even though she will now occasionally slip in some platitudes about the peace process. As Scott Johnson of Power Line (who’s been following this story from the beginning) points out, Omar misled Jewish voters in her district, obfuscating about her position and, as she still does, conflating her support for BDS with a bill that would have stopped continued taxpayer funding of the movement. No one is attempting to "criminalize" anti-Israel speech, although it’s heartening to see Omar is a free-speech absolutist. We’ll see if her position on the "criminalization" of speech will remain consistent moving forward, and not reserved for supporters of Hamas.

As far as I know, not even former congressman Keith Ellison, who once accused the shifty Jews of running American foreign policy, openly supported the BDS movement. Not even J-Street, the progressive front for hard-left activists posing as Israel supporters, openly backed BDS. Nor does George Soros, although he has intermittently funded BDS groups in the past and has been active against the Jewish state for years.

Rand Paul: Next A.G. Must Defend Individual Liberty from Power-Hungry Deep State
[Breitbart] Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) offered his thoughts on who should replace former Attorney General Jeff Sessions during an interview with Breitbart News Deputy Political Editor Amanda House.

"I think your cabinet needs to have people in it who agree with you," Paul said when asked if he was happy about Sessions’ departure. "I think for a long time Jeff Sessions hasn’t really been working for what the president would like him to do."

"I also think that there are some big reforms that we need of our justice and our intelligence agencies, and I think justice can be part of that," Paul added. "What they’ve done to the president has been very unfair with going after his campaign, trying to entrap people."

Paul then referenced the deep state, as he believes they are the ones targeting members of the Trump Administration.

We are so screwed: Stormy Daniels gives lecture at Oxford Union
Stormy Daniels gave a talk at the Oxford Union tonight on the benefits of porn.

The adult entertainment star, who claims she had an affair with Donald Trump in 2006 and was paid to keep quiet before the election, addressed students in the packed chamber at 5pm.

In her talk titled Sex, Guns & Other Fluff: How Porn Can Set You Free she said that porn stars must not be stigmatized for their work.

She said the porn industry is good for women because 'it is the only profession I can think of where the women earn double that of the men'.

Talking of her alleged affair with Trump, Ms Daniels said: 'I was instantly disbelieved and discounted simply because I work in the porn industry.'

She insisted her claims are true, adding: 'It’s a common misconception that I’m backed or a puppet by the Democratic Party or another political affiliation, but I am not, I am here all by myself'.

Britain
Senior Tory lawmaker starts impeachment motion against PM May
[PRESSTV] A senior member of Britannia’s ruling Conservative Party has submitted a letter of no-confidence in Prime Minister Theresa May, demanding a new Tory leader takes reigns of Brexit talks to prevent it from parliamentary disapproval.

Jacob Rees-Mogg sent the impeachment letter on Thursday to the chair of the so-called 1922 Committee, a group that supervises the Tory leadership, saying May’s draft agreement with the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
on Britannia’s withdrawal from the bloc was a backtrack from her own promises after the 2016 Brexit referendum.

"In accordance with the relevant rules and procedures of the Conservative party and the 1922 Committee, this is a formal letter of no confidence in the leader of the party, the Rt Hon Theresa May," wrote Rees-Mogg in his letter, reminding the chair of the committee, Sir Graham Brady, that May had violated her pledges that she would deliver on the results of a June 2016 referendum to leave the EU.

The letter, which comes along similar notes from up to a dozen other Tory politicians who are not in May’s cabinet, could be the start of a fierce leadership challenge in the Conservative Party.

Fearing more incendiary attacks, Israel confiscates balloon shipment to Gaza

Thousands of balloons attached to incendiary devices have been launched across the border, causing fires that have ravaged agricultural fields, forests and national park areas in Israel.

The cartons of balloons were discovered by border guards, who alerted the Land Border Crossings Authority officials on site. The officials classified the balloons as "dual-use," meaning they could be taken by Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, for use in incendiary attacks.

Florida Gov't Race: Barring A Miracle, Rick Scott Is Going To Win
[AP via Townhall] Unofficial Florida election results show that the governor’s race seems to be settled after a machine recount but the U.S. Senate race is likely headed to a hand recount.

Republican Ron DeSantis is virtually assured of winning the nationally watched governor’s race over Democrat Andrew Gillum. Florida finished a machine recount Thursday that showed Gillum without enough votes to force a manual recount.

Unofficial results posted on a state website show the margin between U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson and Gov. Rick Scott is still thin enough to trigger a second review. State law requires a hand recount of races with margins of 0.25 percentage points or less.

Coup-plagued Fiji goes to the polls; heavy rain affects voting
[DAWN] Fiji’s second election since a 2006 military takeover ‐ pitting one coup leader against another ‐ passed off peacefully on Wednesday, although heavy rain dampened voter turnout in the Pacific island nation.

The ballot sees Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama, the former military chief who led a bloodless takeover of the government 12 years ago, face off against another coup leader, Sitiveni Rabuka of the SODELPA Party.

Bainimarama’s FijiFirst Party, which secured a landslide 59 per cent in the last election four years ago, is favourite to retain office against a fractured opposition.

Bainimarama, 64, has promised stability and an end to the "coup culture" that saw four governments toppled between 1987 and 2006.

Rabuka, who staged two coups in 1987 and led the country from 1992-99, was only cleared to run in the election on Monday after defeating corruption charges that government critics said were politically motivated.

Inmate confesses to 90 deaths
[KANSASCITY] A man convicted of three Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, murders and long suspected in numerous other deaths now claims he was involved in about 90 killings nationwide spanning nearly four decades, and Sherlocks already have corroborated about a third of those, a Texas prosecutor said Thursday.

Ector County District Attorney Bobby Bland said 78-year-old Samuel Little was booked into jail this week following his indictment in the 1994 death of a Texas woman. Investigations are ongoing, but Little has provided details in more than 90 deaths dating to about 1970, Bland said.

Little was brought to Texas in September, and Sherlocks with law enforcement agencies in several states traveled to speak with him about unsolved homicides.

"They’re able to match up over 30 cases so far," Bland said. "So far we don’t have any false information coming from him."

Bahrain court hands down lengthy jail sentences to six more activists
[PRESSTV] A court in Bahrain has sentenced six more activists to up to 10 years in prison over their alleged role in exploding a gas cylinder last year.

Judicial sources said on Thursday that three people were sentenced to 10 years in jail while three others received prison terms of three years. The court also fined the six suspects 500,000 dinars each.

The High Criminal Court issued the rulings after convicting them of allegedly carrying out the gas kaboom in front of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) in early 2017 and taking part in an unlawful assembly and rioting.

In recent months, Bahrain has executed several young activists by firing squad after handing them death sentences.

On Wednesday, the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) condemned the kingdom’s persistence on passing death sentences against anti-regime activists, calling the practice an "inhuman punishment".

The center further noted that the Bahraini judiciary has overused death penalty
in recent years, particularly with regards to freedom of opinion and expression in addition to the exercise of political rights.

Jim Clyburn: Dems Using Racial ‘Dog Whistles' to Oust Me from Leadership
[Breitbart] Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) is accusing Democrats of using racial "dog whistles" to oust him from the party’s House leadership.

Clyburn is the highest-ranking black Democrat in leadership as the assistant leader, and he is seeking to regain his Majority Whip position that he held the last time Democrats were in the majority.

"I don’t know where it’s all coming from," Clyburn reportedly told McClatchy on Tuesday. "But someone came to me over the weekend and told me that (they heard), when I was whip before, I was a figurehead."

According to McClatchy, Clyburn, who said that "nothing could be further from the truth," reportedly added that "suggestions that, as the only black member of the leadership team, he was a token and not an effective leader, were tantamount to ’the little dog whistles that have been floating around this side for a long time.’"

Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) is challenging Clyburn for the Majority Whip position, and her spokesperson reportedly said DeGette "categorically and respectfully rejected" the notion that she or her allies were downplaying Clyburn’s accomplishments or using racial dog whistles.

Arab Coalition: Five ships prevented from entering Hodeidah Port by Houthis
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Arab Coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen

stated that the Houthis prevented five ships from entering the Hodeidah Port and unloading their cargo, as well as another ship from entering the Salif Port. They warned that the militias’ behavior will impact the Yemeni people’s livelihood and health.

The Coalition added that it had issued six permits for the ships to head towards Yemeni ports, adding that they carry essential materials, food products, medical aid and oil derivatives.

They stated that five ships are currently present in the Hodeidah Port and five others have been waiting to enter the port for more than a month.

Meanwhile,
...back at the dirigible, Jack stuck the cigar in his mouth, stepped onto the gantry, and asked Got a light, Mac?

If you light that thing, Herr Armschtröng, he pointed out, his voice tense, we all die!...

the Coalition’s air defense system detected a ballistic missile falling in the sea, which the militias had fired towards the Hodeidah Port on Wednesday.

The Houthis fired the missile from the Salif District and targeted the Hodeidah Port following their consecutive defeats in the city.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Days after cease-fire, Gaza border demonstrations to resume
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Paleostinian organizers of the weekly demonstrations in the Gazoo Strip along the Israeli border said they will hold another protest on Friday - in a key test of this week's cease-fire between Israel and Gazoo Lion of Islam groups.

Tuesday's cease-fire ended the heaviest fighting between Israel and Gazoo's Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, rulers since a 2014 war.

The fighting was fueled in part by the demonstrations. Since late March, thousands of Gazooks have joined the Hamas-led demonstrations in a bid to end a crippling Israeli blockade.

Protesters frequently lob grenades, flaming tires and Molotov cocktails toward Israeli troops, who respond with tear gas and live fire. Some 170 Paleostinians, many of them unarmed, have been killed by Israeli fire. Israel says it is defending its border against Lion of Islam attackers.

Hamas had lowered the intensity of the protests in recent weeks as UN and Egyptian mediators made progress toward an unofficial agreement with Israel.

But then this week's fighting erupted after a botched Israeli undercover military operation in Gazoo.

Gazoo bandidos Lions of Islam fired 460 rockets into Israel, while the Israeli air force struck 160 targets in Gazoo. The fighting left a total of 14 Paleostinians, including 12 Lion of Islams, dead. An Israeli officer was killed during the Gazoo raid, while a Paleostinian laborer who worked in Israel was killed in a rocket attack.

In their announcement, protest organizers in Gazoo urged people to demonstrate on Friday "to thank the resistance" for battling Israel.

It remained unclear how big the protests would be, and whether the demonstrators would confront the Israeli troops, or keep their distance as in recent weeks.

Hamas and its supporters have celebrated the cease-fire as a victory against the powerful Israeli military.

John Kerry: US 'cannot afford truculent child president'
[Guardian] America cannot afford "a truculent child president" if it is to fulfil its global leadership role, the former US secretary of state John Kerry said on Thursday as he lambasted Donald Trump for failing to attend a key Armistice Day commemoration ceremony in Paris at the weekend.

Kerry is visiting the UK to promote his book and will be speaking at a Guardian Live event in London on Thursday night.

Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, Kerry spoke of "a dearth of a leadership on a global basis" adding: "Every country is feeling the pressure of this nationalistic populist and in some cases very frightening rightwing advance."

Guardian Today: the headlines, the analysis, the debate - sent direct to you He said: "I was appalled that rain drops prevented the president from going to pay honour to those that died in rain, gas, snow and mud. That was the reason he came to Paris."

Trump refused to attend the rain-swept ceremony citing concerns that his helicopter could not fly due to the weather, and his belief that if he travelled by car, the Paris traffic would be severely disrupted.

Kerry said: "People are tired of the embarrassment of what took place in Paris in the last few days. We cannot have a truculent child president. We need something serious."

#4  Actually Jawn, it's traitors like you this nation cannot afford.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

[PRESSTV] Members of the Paleostinian Islamic resistance movement, Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,, have reportedly uncovered and dismantled a spying network responsible for a recent botched intelligence mission in the Gazoo Strip.

Leb-based Arabic-language al-Manar television network reported that Hamas intelligence units launched an intensive operation to identify and arrest those who had assisted Israeli forces in carrying out an operation east of Khan Younis on Sunday.

The report added that the detainees had all confessed to have been working for Israel’s internal spy agency, Shin Bet.

Somali Pirate Arrested After Adding Ex-Hostage To Facebook
[RADIOSHABELLE] Stories of bandidos tossed in the slammer
Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up!
after attempting to contact their former victims are by no means uncommon, but for American journalist Michael Scott Moore, it was a terrible flashback of the two and a half years he was held hostage by Somali pirates. One of the kidnappers, Mohammed Tahlil, was arrested in New York in the United States After Adding Ex-Hostage to Facebook.

The story appears in criminal documents related to the arrest of the pirate, which happened in recent months, at a date also unspecified. Many snippets of the report were suppressed, but it is known that the conversation lasted for months and involved the exchange of images and information not only about the criminal but also about other pirates involved in the abduction and the days that the news hound passed under the yoke their.

Tahlil approached the victim identifying himself as a "friend" and claiming to want to talk to him. The journalist acknowledged the former guard for the only available view image in the profile and described the conversation as kind and humorous, sometimes written in poor English and sometimes in Somali, with Moore using an online translator to communicate.

Souvenirs of the captivity are part of the official document, such as Moore’s comments about breaking his wrist during capture, and handing over items such as pens, books, medicines and cookies by the guard, acts seen as a sign of good faith. It is not known, however, what the kidnapper was doing in New York or how the conversations contributed to its location.

According to the chat, still, much of the original pirate group killed each other because of disputes over dividing the $ 1.2 million paid as a ransom to Moore. According to the investigation, the report coincides with the information of the death of some pirates in a dispute for money soon after the release of the journalist. As part of the conditions, the criminals also demanded a letter signed by then-US President Barack Obama
My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it...
that they would be acquitted of any consequence of the abduction.

Tahlil is being held without bail and has been indicted for crimes such as kidnapping, hostage-taking, conspiracy, and others, and may face life in prison. Moore said he was not as happy as he could imagine with the kidnapper’s arrest and the news of the deaths of other criminals involved in his two and a half years in Somalia.

His book on the case, The Desert and the Sea: 977 Days Arrested on the Pirate Coast Somali, a free translation, was released in the United States in July and is not yet available in Brazil. The publication, as well as Moore’s own testimony to the FBI after his release, are cited as providential investigations into pirates and crimes committed by them against American citizens, common targets of kidnapping because of the high dollar value in the country.

Sri Lankan lawmakers fight in Parliament over PM dispute
[DAWN] Rival politicians exchanged blows in Sri Lanka's Parliament on Thursday as disputed Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa claimed the speaker had no authority to remove him from office by voice vote.

The fighting in the chamber came a day after it passed a no-confidence vote against Rajapaksa's government.

When Parliament re-convened, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya said the country had no government and there was no prime minister either Rajapaksa or his rival whose ousting in late October by the president started the crisis.

Rajapaksa disagreed, saying "a vote should have been taken. Such important motions should not be passed by a voice vote." He added that Jayasuriya has no power to remove or appoint the prime minister and Cabinet members.

He accused the speaker of being partial and representing the position of his party, the United National Party, which is led by ousted Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Rajapaksa also called for fresh elections, suggesting that it was the best way to resolve the crisis.

NeverTrumper Bill Kristol Gets Funding from Left-Wing Billionaire
[PJ] Conservatives have long wondered where noted NeverTrumper Bill Kristol, the editor-at-large of The Weekly Standard, was getting the funding for his multi-year crusade against President Trump. The mystery now appears to have been solved.

According to Julie Kelly of American Greatness, the sugar daddy funding much of Kristol's NeverTrumper activities is left-wing billionaire Pierre Omidyar, the co-founder of eBay.

NeverTrump "conservatives" like Kristol have lately united with the left in opposing Trump's appointment of Matthew Whitaker, former attorney general Jeff Sessions’ interim replacement. The Kristol-founded group "Republicans for the Rule of Law" sponsored ads attacking the acting attorney general on several Sunday morning political shows last weekend, Kelly reported.
The group’s primary role so far appears to be pimping for the Mueller probe, a political witch-hunt that Kristol and his fellow NeverTrumpers pray will lead to the impeachment and removal of the president. The Left and their NeverTrump footsoldiers fear Whitaker will thwart the special counsel’s investigation instead of rubber stamping Mueller’s ever-expanding investigation as Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has done over the past 18 months.
Incredibly, Kelly was unable to find any Republican donors to "Republicans for the Rule of Law," but did discover that an affiliate of one of Omidyar’s nonprofits had given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Kristol’s NeverTrump group.

According to the report, Omidyar’s group Democracy Fund awarded nearly $9 million in grants in 2015, "many of which went to left-wing organizations."
An affiliate of that fund disclosed on its website that it has given as least $600,000 to Kristol’s umbrella group, Defending Democracy Together, since May.

In a tweet linking to American Greatness Wednesday afternoon, Kristol did not deny Kelly's claim. Instead, he tacitly admitted it by lauding the "public spiritedness" of the left.

US-led coalition strikes villages in Syria’s Dayr al-Zawr, leave some two dozen dead
[PRESSTV] Nearly two dozen civilians, mostly women and kiddies, have bit the dust when the US-led coalition purportedly fighting the ISIS Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
terrorist group bombarded residential areas in Syria’s embattled eastern province of Dayr al-Zawr.

Local sources, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, told Syria’s official news agency SANA that the US-led military aircraft fired missiles into buildings in Albu Badran village on Thursday, leaving 17 people of the same family dead.

Most of the slain civilians had apparently been displaced earlier from the nearby town of al-Baghuz in the Abu Kamal district of Dayr al-Zawr province. The town has recently witnessed fierce festivities between ISIS murderous Moslems and Lions of Islam from the Kurdish Democratic Union Party.

Later in the day, US-led warplanes struck al-Susah village in the same Syrian province. Six non-combatants were killed and several buildings destroyed in the aerial attacks.

The developments came only a day after local sources, requesting anonymity, told SANA that US-led military aircraft had pounded the town of Hajin in Dayr al-Zawr province, using internationally-banned cluster bombs.

US-led jets also launched a cluster bomb raid on the eastern town of al-Shaafah in the same Syrian district.

There were no immediate reports about possible casualties or the extent of damage caused.

Cluster bombs are banned under the Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM), an international treaty that addresses humanitarian consequences and unacceptable harm caused to civilians by cluster munitions through a categorical prohibition and a framework for action.

Pro-govt forces halt Yemen port offensive as UAE backs talks
[DAWN] Forces loyal to Yemen’s government on Wednesday halted an offensive on the lifeline port of Hodeida as the United Arab Emirates, a key member of the pro-government coalition, threw its weight behind "early" UN peace talks.

Three military officials told AFP that pro-government forces were "ordered" to stop their assault against the Iran-linked Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
rebels until further notice, but would resume operations should the bully boyz attack.

The UAE state minister for foreign affairs, Anwar Gargash, said meanwhile his country welcomed the "early convening of UN-led talks in Sweden" and urged warring factions to take advantage of diplomatic efforts. The UN is pushing for peace talks by the end of the year, and Sweden said it is ready to host them.

The developments came after the offensive on Hodeida by pro-government forces and the Saudi-led coalition, including the UAE, appeared to stall.

After 12 days of festivities, Hodeida was "quiet" and its port was "operating", Gargash tweeted. "We are working closely with the UN on expanding humanitarian assistance for all areas of Yemen," he added.

On the ground in Hodeida, a relative calm was holding for a second full day, and despite the thundering sound of jets flying overhead, no major fighting was reported.

Speaking to AFP earlier, a military official said pro-government forces had temporarily stopped their advance into the port to allow safe passage for civilians, humanitarian staff and maimed.

One military official said however that the pro-government forces would be launching major operations "in the coming days". "The battles will not stop, except with the liberation of Hodeida and the whole west coast," he said.

Internal power struggles erupt in Iran over money laundering, terror support
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The internal power struggles in Iran have not stopped since 1979 Islamic Revolution that toppled the Shah’s regime and was monopolized by the religious establishment that controls all joints of the Iranian government.

The conflict between the wings of the reformist and bully boy regime has reached bloody levels against the backdrop of the Green Movement of 2009, which would have almost tossed the hardliner conservatives loyal to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, had the bloody crackdown by reformist not been suppressed.

Today and while Hassan Rouhani who is a moderate president with balanced relations with the moderate reformists on one hand and with the moderate conservatives on the other hand, who is at the helm of the executive power, at a time when the Islamic Theocratic Republic is facing qualitative challenges in the face of harsh US sanctions, the hardliner conservatives left no chance but to ignore Rouhani and all those who sided with him.

The differences between the wings of the Iranian regime, these days revolve around two lists presented months ago in the Iranian parliament, the first list on Iran’s accession to Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) and in its work against counterfeiting and terrorism financing, and the second list on the country’s accession to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), an intergovernmental organization based in Gay Paree, La Belle France, was established in 1989 and is active in the fight against money laundering. In 2001, the organization joined the fight against terrorism.

On Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said: "Money laundering in Iran is a real issue."

He pointed out in an interview with Khabar Online, that the "economic interests" of some figures who are involved in money laundering, are in opposition to Iran’s joining both "CFT" and "FATF" treaties to combat terrorism and money laundering, accusing opponents of flouting the atmosphere against these treaties.

The Iranian Shura Council approved the two lists, but the Guardian Council of the Constitution, which has major powers in Iran, rejected them. In this case, the two lists are presented to the Expediency Discernment Council of the System to decide on the matter.

The Iranian foreign minister’s comments on the spread of money laundering in Iran, sparked a turmoil in the government’s institutions, which prompted the National Security and Foreign Policy Parliamentary Committee today, Wednesday, to summon FM Zarif to parliament to explain himself regarding those statements.

"At the request of members of the committee, the foreign minister was invited to present evidence of alleged money laundering in Iran," Hishmatullah Fallah Beshah, head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Parliamentary Committee, told Tasnim news agency which is close to the Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.

The politician Beshah described Zarif’s comments on money laundering in Iran as "unacceptable" and "setting a precedent" and "non-specialized" and "undocumented accusations," adding that even countries hostile to Iran did not direct such accusations against the Islamic Theocratic Republic.

Beshah added that: "Facts about money laundering must be revealed regarding what Mr. Zarif said."

Iran’s foreign minister had said in his controversial interview that: "Many people in Iran benefit from money laundering. Those who earn thousands of billions in money laundering are financially able to allocate tens or billions to publicize and incite the country against anti-laundering laws."

"The total budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is 1,100 billion Tuman, which is less than the budget of some cultural institutions which is connected to the country’s powerful apparatus, so we cannot deal with them when we are raising the issue," Zarif said.

‘Hee Haw’ and country music star Roy Clark dead 85
[PAGESIX] Roy Clark, the popular country music singer-guitarist who co-hosted the long-running sketch/variety series “Hee Haw” with Buck Owens, died today of pneumonia complications at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 85.

CBS launched “Hee Haw” in summer 1969 as country music’s answer to Rowan and Martin’s “Laugh-In.” Weaving performances by the genre’s top stars with surprise cameos and down-home comedy skits loaded with catchphrases, it lasted three seasons on the network before moving to first-run syndication in 1971 — where it aired for 22 more years.

As a musician, he had 50 singles hit Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart from 1963 to 1984, including nine top 10s and the No. 1 hit “Come Live with Me” in 1973. He personified “pickin’ ‘n’ grinnin’,” having started playing banjo and mandolin before he picked up a guitar.

4 police wounded as knifeman enters Jerusalem base
[DAWN] A man wielding a knife entered an Israeli border police base in annexed east Jerusalem provoking a scuffle in which four officers were maimed, police said on Thursday.

The assailant was seriously maimed as he was overpowered by officers during the rare attack inside a security force base late on Wednesday, police front man Micky Rosenfeld told AFP.

The attacker, who was not immediately identified, had scaled a fence around the base between the Paleostinian neighbourhood of Jabel Mukabar and the settler district of Armon Hanatziv before being spotted.

Rosenfeld did not confirm local media reports that one of the officers was maimed by shots fired at the assailant.

Police send letter to JUI-S leader's 'missing' secretary
[DAWN] The police investigating the murder of Jamaat-e-Ulema Islam-Sami (JUI-S) leader Maulana Samiul Haq
...the Godfather of the Taliban, leader of his own faction of the JUI. Known as Mullah Sandwich for his habit of having two young boys at a time...
have written a letter to his missing secretary, Syed Ahmed Shah, and sent it to his house, asking him to record his statement about what happened the day Samiul Haq was killed.

Mr Ahmed is considered the most important witness in the murder case.

The police have also recovered a knife thought to be the murder weapon from the scene of the crime, almost two weeks later, and sent it to a laboratory.

The police have collected samples for people who were supposed to be with the late JUI-S leader and sent them to the laboratory for DNA matching.

According to sources, Sherlocks suspect that the murderer was alone.

The police found a bloodstained kurta from the scene of the crime which turned out not to be the former senator’s. The police are yet to establish who hung up the kurta in the bathroom.

According to a senior police investigator, Syed Ahmed Shah is not being treated as an eye witness but his written statement under section 161 of the CrPC has been vital in the murder case and needs to be recorded.

"The police investigating officer has legal authority to summon any witness and record their written statement or in some cases an account recorded on video may be used in the court of law as evidence," he said.

He said Mr Shah should not have been allowed to go with the body by the police and that he should only have been allowed to go once his statement was recorded as he is the most important witness in the case.

Syed Ahmed Shah was staying with Maulana Samiul Haq in his Safari Villa in Bahria Town.

He said he had gone to get drinking water from a nearby filtration plant and locked the main gate from outside.

He said when he returned some time later, he found the gate open and the late JUI-S leader’s body in his room.

Sources said the police have been trying to contact Mr Shah’s family to join the murder investigation but he has been missing from his house in Akora Khattak for some days now.

When the Akora Khattak police was contacted, they said they had not received any complaint about Syed Ahmed Shah going missing.

The police have been questioning all those who had been in contact with Ahmed Shah or Maulana Samiul Haq during a specific period.

Four people were initially picked up by the police from Ratta Amral, Ghauri Town and other parts of the city for questioning.

Maulana Hamidul Haq, the son of the late senator, had said Mr Shah’s family has been trying to contact him but his phone remains switched off.

Who ordered, supervised, and carried out Khashoggi's murder?
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Through the investigation carried out up to date with the 21 suspects in the case of the murder of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi, the investigation has resulted in the following findings:

1. ‏The incident began on 29/9/2018 upon the issuance of an order to bring back the victim by means of persuasion, and if persuasion fails, to do so by force. The former Deputy President of the General Intelligence Presidency (GIP) issued this order to the leader of the mission.

2. ‏The leader of the mission formed a 15-member team that consisted of three groups (negotiations/ intelligence/ logistics) to persuade and return the victim. The leader of the mission suggested to the former Deputy President of the GIP to assign a former colleague to head the negotiation group in the team because of his previous relationship with the victim. This former colleague was assigned at the time to work with a former Advisor.

Email reveals Florida Democratic official pushed election forms with altered deadlines
[USA Today] TALLAHASSEE ‐ In a move that has been reported to federal prosecutors, a Democratic party official directed staffers and volunteers to share altered election forms with voters a day after the midterm election that left two major races too close to call.

The altered forms surfaced in Broward, Santa Rosa, Citrus and Okaloosa counties, and were referred to federal investigators as possible election fraud, as Florida counties complete a required recount in the races for governor and the U.S. Senate.

But the USA TODAY Network obtained a Nov. 7 email from Jennifer Kim, the party's central Florida deputy field director, that shows Florida Democrats were organizing a broader, statewide effort beyond those counties to give voters the altered forms.

The form is an affidavit ‐ known as a "cure affidavit" ‐ to fix signature problems on absentee ballots. The unaltered affidavits instruct the voter that it must be mailed in time for election supervisors to get it by 5 p.m. on Nov. 5. Democratic party leaders provided staffers with copies that had been modified to include an inaccurate Nov. 8 deadline.

Libya: Red Crescent recovers 22 corpses from southern Derna
[Libya Observer] The Red Islamic Thingy said Tuesday it had picked up 22 bodies from al-Heela in southern Derna in eastern Libya.

On Facebook, the Red Islamic Thingy said the corpses date back to 2011 and they had found them after the city's security department received information about their location.

Earlier this month, the Red Islamic Thingy also recovered 10 unidentified corpses in two separate operations in Hay al-Maghar and Derna's city center.

The 10 bodies were probably for victims of the continuous fighting in the city since last June.

According to the front man for the self-styled army, Ahmed al-Mismari on Wednesday, Derna is going through improved economic, security and social conditions; "thanks to Omar al-Mukhtar and backup forces," he added.

"Clashes have now narrowed down to only the old city area in Derna." al-Mismari explained in his presser.

Late last June, Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
announced "full liberation" of Derna, however; fighting is still ongoing in different areas including Derna's city center, which is not controlled by Haftar's forces.

Haftar to remain Libyan army General Commander till elections
[Libya Observer] The front man of the Libyan self-styled army Ahmed al-Mismari said Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. Guess you can't win them all...
is going to remain in his post as "General Commander of the Libyan army" till elections.

Al-Mismari indicated on Wednesday that the only recognizable Supreme Commander of the Libyan army is going to be the elected president.

He added that the general command of the self-styled army is trying to consolidate democracy and statehood.

He also called on Egypt to continue to tackle the issues of the unification of Libya's military institutions.

According to analysts, such a statement is another example for Haftar's intention to carry out a coup against Aqila Saleh who is the Speaker of House of Representatives and east-based Supreme Commander, knowing that the west-based Supreme Commander is the Head of the Presidential Council Fayez al-Sirraj.

This is also contradiction by the self-styled army as Haftar was made a General Commander by Saleh, whom al-Mismari said is not recognizable as only elected presidents are to be appointed Supreme Commander.

On the other hand, al-Mismari said Green Mountain (Jabal al-Akhdar) Court in eastern Libya delivered 68 verdicts for terrorist suspects, adding that one was sentenced to death, two were tossed in the calaboose
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
and 65 others were exonerated.

He did not give more details.
I can say no more!
about the trials and the names of the suspects.

Hundreds of Libyans, including captives from the fighting between 2014 and 2018, are imprisoned by Haftar's forces in east-based jails such as Gernada.

Florida Democrats Urged Voters to Submit Absentee Ballots After Election Day Using Altered Forms
[BREITBART] A day after Florida’s election left top state races too close to call, a Democratic party leader directed staffers and volunteers to share altered election forms with voters to fix signature problems on absentee ballots after the state’s deadline.

The altered forms surfaced in Broward, Santa Rosa, Citrus and Okaloosa counties and were reported to federal prosecutors to review for possible election fraud as Florida counties complete a required recount in three top races.

But an email obtained by the USA TODAY NETWORK-Florida shows that Florida Democrats were organizing a broader statewide effort beyond those counties to give voters the altered forms to fix improper absentee ballots after the Nov. 5 deadline. Democratic party leaders provided staffers with copies of a form, known as a "cure affidavit," that had been modified to include an inaccurate Nov. 8 deadline.

One Palm Beach Democrat said in an interview the idea was to have voters fix and submit as many absentee ballots as possible with the altered forms in hopes of later including them in vote totals if a judge ruled such ballots were allowed.

Kurdish-led SDF chasing Baghdadi in Euphrates River Valley
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are fighting ISIS leader His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...the head of ISIS, or what remains of it, and a veteran of the Abu Graib jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us. So far he has been killed at least four times, though not yet by a stake through the heart...
’s followers and family members in Hajin, an eastern Syrian town about 50 km west of the Iraqi border, a Sun correspondent embedded with the militia has reported.

"In other battles, the jihadists had other places to run to, but in Hajin they have nowhere to go," SDF commander Havel Ronnie Walat told the outlet. "Here it is only the true believers left and they will fight to the death," he said.

Earlier, Moscow accused the US-led coalition of resuming Arclight airstrikes in the area using white phosphorus bombs, and said the attacks were causing casualties among civilians trapped in the area. On Wednesday, Syrian media reported that the coalition used cluster bombs in Hajin and the nearby town of al-Sha’afa, leading to multiple civilian deaths. The coalition has repeatedly denied using cluster and white phosphorus munitions in populated areas in eastern Syria.

Commenting on rumors that al-Baghdadi may be hiding out in the Hajin, Walat revealed that the terrorist head honcho’s brother "was in the area recently (and) he was holding a meeting encouraging people to fight. Also, about a month and a half ago, we got intelligence that we killed (one of) Baghdadi’s sons," the commander said.

The SDF commander said that "significant numbers" of imported muscle remain trapped in the area, including fighters of Afghani, British, Chechen, unidentified European, Iraqi and Saudi origin. He added that the fight against the gunnies for the area has turned into a crawl, with ISIS using vehicles in suicide kabooms, building tunnels and placing improvised bombs everywhere.

Federal Court Says Clinton Must Answer More Ques About Her Emails
[Daily Caller] A federal court is compelling former secretary of state Hillary Clinton to respond to further questions ‐ under oath ‐ about her notorious emails.

U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan issued the ruling Wednesday in response to a lawsuit from Judicial Watch, the conservative research and investigative group that has long had its sights on both of the Clintons.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton was jubilant about the decision in a Thursday morning tweet: "Breaking: Court rules late today Hillary Clinton must answer more email questions ‐ including key [questions] about the setting up of her email system."

The decision is the result of a Freedom of Information lawsuit initiated by Judicial Watch that sought to clarify why Clinton’s executive assistant, Huma Abedin, was authorized to be both an employee of the State Department and a "special government employee" for outside jobs, according to news release issued Thursday by Judicial Watch.

Inmate accused of killing alleged child molester said mom and God ‘told me to do it’
[STAR-TELEGRAM] An inmate at Tarrant County jail charged with killing a notoriously accused child molester said Wednesday that "God and his mother" told him to kill the other man.

Jail officials said David Faustino Flores, 42, killed 76-year-old Clinton Don Simpson on Nov. 7 by slamming his head into the floor more than a dozen times.

Flores talked to news hounds from jail on Wednesday afternoon, the same day he was formally charged with murder in the case, according to court records.

Flores told news hounds he hears voices and when he first arrived in jail, he told jail officials he needed his own cell because he has schizophrenia.

"I told them I was schizophrenic and need my own cell because I can’t handle other people," he said.

Flores said in the interview he was placed in solitary confinement, but was moved to suicide watch after he tried to kill himself. He showed news hounds stitches on his head from where he hit it against a wall.

Flores was taken to the medical unit of the jail on suicidal prevention watch and put into a cell with Simpson, jail officials said.

Simpson, Flores said, would whisper things to him and gave him "the heebie-jeebies."

#2  Even in prisons the mentally ill are not forced to take their medications regularly, with occasional blow-ups being the result. Nor is there the same level of care as outside to ensure they are receiving the proper medication for their diagnosis — not the fault of the guards, nor even of the understaffed medical professionals, given that around half the nation’s prison population is said to have serious mental health problems.

The Grand Turk
US may extradite Gulen to ease Turkey pressure on Saudi Arabia
[PRESSTV] The White House is finding ways to extradite the US-based Ottoman Turkish dissident Fethullah Gülen
... a Turkish preacher living in Pennsylvania whom the current govt of Turkey considers responsible for all the ills afflicting Turkey and possibly the entire world...
, an arch-rival of Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey...
, a media report says.

Four sources have told NBC News that the administration of Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
is looking for ways to extradite Gulen, who is accused by Ankara of having criminal masterminded the July 2016 coup attempt against President Erdogan.

The move is said to be aimed at appeasing Erdogan and easing The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund....
's pressure on Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
over the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, according to two senior US officials and two other people briefed on the requests.

Trump administration officials last month asked federal law enforcement agencies to examine legal ways of removing Gulen in an attempt to persuade Erdogan to ease pressure on the Saudi government, the sources said.

They said the effort includes directives to the Justice Department and the FBI that officials reopen Turkey's case for his extradition, as well as a request to the Homeland Security Department for information about his legal status.

#2  No, not a prudent move. He'll end up the same as Khashoggi, only after more extensive torture. I hope CIA Director Haspel strongly discourages this.

#8  Well, lessee. Gulen was allowed to enter the US for "medical treatment" in 1999. That's have been the BJ Clinton prexidency. Did his state department deny any foreign nationals entree to the US for such humanitarian reasons in the same time frame?

Per Ickypedia (yeah, yeah, I know...)

Gülen's application for permanent residence status in the US was controversial. Gülen first based his claim to residency on his status as an "alien of extraordinary ability" in the field of education - the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services categorically rejected it. As lawyers representing the Secretary of Homeland Security observed, Gülen has no degree or training in education and had authored no scholarly works. To the contrary, they argued, the evidence submitted by Gülen indicates that, far from being an academic, he seeks to cloak himself with academic status by commissioning academics to write about him and paying for conferences at which his work is studied. But, over the objections of the FBI, of the State Department, and of the Department of Homeland Security, three former CIA operatives intervened and managed to secure a permanent US residency for Gülen. CIA National Intelligence Council former vice chairman Graham E. Fuller, former CIA official George Fidas and former US Ambassador to Turkey Morton Abramowitz wrote endorsement letters for Gülen's green card application in 2008. His application ultimately won approval.

Africa Subsaharan
Pentagon to pull hundreds of counterterror troops from Africa
[Washington Examiner] The number of U.S. troops helping to combat terror and extremist groups across Africa will be reduced by up to 720, or about 10 percent of the current force, the Pentagon said on Thursday.

The drawdown will occur over the next several years as the Trump administration shifts focus to potential conflicts with major world powers such as Russia and China.

The decision also comes after the ambush death of four soldiers in Niger last year sparked scrutiny of special ops missions against Islamic extremist groups, which occur across the continent and almost entirely out of the public eye.

It is a shift from one year ago when Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and other lawmakers warned that the near-defeat of the Islamic State was pushing fighters into Africa and turning the continent into the new front in the global war against extremist groups.

But the Pentagon said the 10 percent reduction in the 7,200 troops serving in U.S. Africa Command would leave most of its security partnerships with African countries.

Counterextremist "activities in several areas, including Somalia, Djibouti and Libya largely remain the same," it said in a statement.

The U.S. maintains a center of operations in the East Africa coastal country of Djibouti and troops spread out to several dozen bases in a variety of countries. Special operators link up with local allied forces and provide training, intelligence, and support in battle against groups such as al Shabaab in Somalia.

The U.S. soldiers in Niger had been on a mission with local forces to kill or capture a high-level Islamist militant when they were ambushed. Months later, a Pentagon investigation found they had not received appropriate approval for the mission and were killed by better-armed rebel forces.

Kamala Harris Draws Parallels between ICE and the KKK
[NR] Senator Kamala Harris of California on Thursday compared contemporary public perceptions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to the way in which the American public perceived the Ku Klux Klan in the early part of the 20th century.

Harris, a staunch advocate of more permissive immigration policy, made the comparison while questioning Ronald Vitiello, President Trump’s nominee to lead ICE, during his confirmation hearing. She began the line of questioning by citing Vitiello’s use of the term "neo-Klanist" in a 2015 tweet, which he applied to Democrats in order to highlight the party’s role in advancing segregationist policies during the 19th and 20th centuries. She then sought to apply Vitiello’s characterization of twentieth century Democrats to the agency he has been nominated to lead.

"Are you aware of the perception of many about how the power and the discretion at ICE is being used to enforce the laws and do you see any parallels?" she asked.

"I do not see any parallels," Vitiello interjected. "That puts ICE in the same category as the KKK. Is that what you’re asking me?"

"No, I’m very specific in what I’m asking you. Are you aware of a perception that the way that they . . ." Harris continued, before Vitiello interjected. "I see none," he said.

Arabia
Latest details of Khashoggi murder effectively wraps up the case
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The case of the death of Jamal Khashoggi reached its denouement with all the secrets around it revealed after the Saudi public prosecution exposed the case details, named those involved.

He demanded the death penalty
for the five people responsible for the crime.

This came after the investigations which lasted for more than a month along with the criminal probe team which revealed the broad lines of the crime after interrogating those involved.

The investigation results, which were announced, reflected the Saudi government’s pledge that justice would prevail and that all those involved, whoever they were, would be punished appropriately.

11 PEOPLE CHARGED
In spite of the attempts of some media in the intervening period to question the conduct of Saudi investigations and to incite international opinion against the Kingdom, the prosecution confirmed on Thursday that it pressed charges against 11 people - out of the 21 involved - in addition to calling for the death penalty for the five who ordered and initiated the crime.

The statement of the Public Prosecution and its response to all the questions from journalists explained all the details. The public prosecution, following the system of criminal procedure, did not of course, reveal the names of the accused since the procedural system prevented it.

With this announcement, Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
is close to bringing the curtains down on the case file and leaving the matter to the judicial and justice institutions to decide.

The statement by the Saudi Attorney General is clear in terms of the full facts, revealing that the order to kill Khashoggi came from the leader of the negotiating team that went to retrieve him. Jamal’s body was dismembered and handed over to a local contractor.

The Saudi statement also concluded that the commander of the mission had agreed with the negotiating team and their leader - who decided and started the killing - to submit a false report to the former deputy head of the General Intelligence, stating that the victim was released from the consulate after the negotiation as well as the bid to force Khashoggi to return failed.

Dr. Mohammed al-Mahmoud, the Saudi Legal Advisor, said on Thursday that after the statement of the Public Prosecution, Saudi Arabia has proved to the whole world that it is a state based on the law in all its procedures, pointing out that the statement of the prosecution is "a slap to all media campaigns against the Kingdom."

The Saudi legal adviser pointed out that the defendants in the case who are at a high level in the ranks of the state, as he put it, with "some of them in sensitive positions, and yet it became clear that the independence of the Public Prosecutor’s Office made them come out with these results despite the difficult situation."

A few days ago, the son of Jamal Khashoggi came out on CNN, ending rumors about the death of their father.

The two sons, Salah and Abdullah Jamal Khashoggi, rejected attempts by some parties to exploit the incident of their father’s death politically on the widespread American news network.
