Conditions are unacceptable. Perhaps unavoidable but unacceptable. Somebody has to take the fall for political purposes. I hate it when politicians make pawns out of defenseless people.
[AmericanThinker] "Equality" cries were cherished by feminists when they gave females entry into military academies, boardrooms and the ranks of police; prize-money parity in some sporting events; and access to boys’ athletics. But with these appeals now putting sexually confused men in women’s sports, well, feminists’ cries are a tad different. Equality can be a real downer when it’s principle and not ploy.
As for my position, I’ve devoted more ink to combating the made-up sexual status (MUSS, usually called "transgender") agenda than most any other writer. In fact, almost first in the field ‐ and almost alone there ‐ inveighing against MUSS ideology 10 years ago, I was criticized for political incorrectness by conservatives (some of whom now sing my tune). It thus may be surprising that I today say to MUSSmen athletes everywhere:

It is only up to the women now. They can stop this nonsense by protesting, beginning with a boycott of all federations and games meets that support this shit.
But they'll just 'up' the testosterone dosages and train harder to ultimately compete with men in girlie wear. Because they cannot admit that their struggle for equality has been hijacked.
If you're of indeterminate sex, you just don't qualify, should be the universal rule.

So, would this be like Mexico paying for "The Wall"?

It does appear that Mexico will be paying for the wall through the new trade deal and by sending troops to the borders to stem the flow of illegals.
[National Interest] "Due to the special nature of the system, and that the Russians are likely to have supplied only a few missiles to equip the launchers, I don’t think SAA will ever use it soon. The IAF has been using the tactic of saturating the attacked area with various kinds of missiles and bombs. It is not economical to use the S-300 against such an attack."

And from yesterday's notes, there are the other problems of inoperative computer tracking systems and timid missile battery crews.

I remember during Operation Desert Shield, Iraqi defense batteries firing a few rounds at the 'Southern Watch' coalition aircraft 'after' they had passed over their gun emplacements, then unassing for safer areas for an hour or two.
In Northern Watch, our 'NATO Allies' the Turks would hot permit engagement of the sites by coalition aircraft during the same sortie.

You are now posting stories from ages ago?
Hey this happen 4 months ago!
One of my pet peeves is articles on the web without a date. Drives me mad!
In this case, the article itself is dated 24 June 2019 and clearly refers to an incident on 13 April 2019. It provides some interesting background info we didn't have.
This was not the first time something similar has happened. Makes me think that either the Juice are really, really good and/or there is some sort of back-channel communication with the Russians to keep things under control.

I believe this is the original report of the April 13th attack from the Rantburg archives. Given that April is the fourth month and June is the sixth month, the events in question are from two months ago, not four.
This is why I added the comment in the article that this is an after action review, which I understand to be the proper military description for looking at events afterward, when more information has been accumulated. At any rate, it’s not a term I was familiar with from my experiences before I discovered Rantburg. If I used it wrongly and caused confusion, I do apologize.
SteveS, there is indeed direct communication between the Israeli air force and the Russians — they don't want to kill one another accidentally so long as Vladimir Putin continues to be sentimental about all those Soviet Jews who emigrated to Israel. It’s been mentioned in passing a number of times in articles published here. I suspect that the forging of that connection, like the one between Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump, have helped Bibi win the last several elections — much to the frustration of the right-thinking elites over there.

Getting the first stage to reliably hit the barge should be as easy as incorporating the Tesla auto drive software and making sure the barge looks like a section of jersey barrier or parked DOT truck from above. Then they can't miss...

M. Murcek - that was the longest landing ever with no boost back burn and a total experiment. Get your facts straight on that before dissing it. It was 1300+ miles out at sea. Previous longest one was 730 some miles. There were 4 separate orbit burns to radically different orbits for some very very strange DARPA, DOD, Taiwanese and other sats. The payload weight was very very low. The Air Force controlled the whole game plan. They wanted some data they could only get with this strange launch. What the real purpose(s) of it are the Air Force's to know.

If you want to continue dinging Musk try the latest failure of an Oxygen Impleller on the Starship's prototype Raptor Engine. It will delay the test launches of the Hopper while they redesign the blade. 3 weeks to model, redesign and build a new blade and 3 weeks to test again. Starship is the one that will eventually take 100 passengers to Mars.
[American Thinker] I thought it was satire, something cooked up by his political enemies.
You couldn't put out a less attractive video than the one Gavin Newsom did for illegal aliens on Twitter, advising them himself on how to obstruct ICE from any deportation maneuvers. And sure enough, he wasn't hacked ‐ it really was blue-checked he.
Leave aside the fact that he's the governor of a U.S. state, supposedly there to represent the interests of that state's citizens rather than those of the foreigners who come here without papers, quite illegally, and run up the tab using his state's services. They're his constituents, too, now, in fact, the ones whose interests he chooses to represent over those of the voters (oh, wait...). He's acting as Their Lawyer now, advising them how to thwart ICE like some National Lawyers Guild activist in how to obstruct the feds legally.
It's also insulting to voters. Newsom cited Proposition 187 in the 1990s as something "we've been through before," as if to say voters never approved this measure to keep illegals from using "free" U.S. services until it was overturned by the courts. And more creepy still, he cites the "three strikes" law, as if to acknowledge that illegals commit quite a few crimes while they are here sopping up the services. It's also well out of the realm of reality, given that voters polled say they aren't happy with his handing out of free health care to the foreign population here illegally in a bid to incentivize more to come.
But what a strange presentation it was. Play it with the sound down and look at how he tosses and tilts his head back and forth, kind of manically, his chemically whitened teeth flashing forced and fake smiles, and his eyes widening and eyebrows rising, up and down, up and down... It's kind of like Peter Strzok's forced performance in the spygate hearings over in Congress. He looks creepy. The Justice Department should direct the FBI to intervene and assist ICE at the local level. If obstructed by local law enforcement or pols, issue a federal warrant for the arrest of the obstructionists and haul them away to a federal prison pending trial. That should put a stop to this bullshi*.

Victor Davis Hansen, The Case For Trump, page 91:
Ironically, the only way to turn Oaxaca's masses into middle-class voters, akin to conservative Cuban immigrants, would be to close the borders and allow in diverse and legal immigrants on a meritocratic basis. Only then could the formidable powers of intermarriage, assimilation, and intgration persuade illeal aliens inside the United States to emulate pior patters of assimilation as, for example, of the Italian Catholic diaspora. Today an Italian surname, whether Giuliani or Cuomo, hardly proves a reliable guide of voter preference. This fact is alos largely because half a million Italians over the decades did not inter the United States en mass illegally and perpetually.
Illigal immigration had become no longer a matter of a few thousand immigrants crossing the southern border or overstaying visas, often in search of low-paying jobs that Americans purportedly would not do. Nor was it even a dilemma about wat to do with a static resident alien population "without papers." Instead, the issue became a referendum on the future of US elections, the trajectory of the Democratic Party, and the idea of melting-pot traditionalism versus salad-bowl identity politics. In a CBS/YouGov poll of the spring 2018, a majority of Americans who had experienced firsthand illegal immigration felt that illegal aliens had made their own communities worse off, including a pluralty of black Americans.
[American Thinker] They really counted on Hillary winning, didn't they? Former director of National Intelligence James Clapper is in panic mode, realizing that the so-called "intelligence community" he supervised under President Obama is about to be revealed by Atty. Gen. William Barr and U.S. atty. John Durham as a weaponized arm of the Clinton campaign, with indictments to follow.
The man who lied to Congress about spying on the American people was shocked back in April to hear Barr testify before Congress that yes, he thought the Trump campaign had been spied upon by his political opponents. As Breitbart reported:
Well, I thought it was most stunning and scary. I was amazed at that and rather disappointed that the attorney general would say such a thing. The term "spying" has all kinds of negative connotations, and I have to believe he chose that term deliberately. And I think it's incredible that if he has concerns, he would have easily on his first day on the job, after his confirmation, asked his own IG, the Inspector General of the Department of Justice, for a briefing on his preliminary, in the course of his investigation, that is, the IG's investigation, whether there was any wrongdoing by the FBI. I think it would have been far more appropriate for him to just defer to that investigation rather than postulating, apparently with no evidence. He just has a feeling that there was spying against the campaign.
Barr has more than that, it would seem, and has sent chills up Clapper's spine that he and Durham are dead serious about checking out the real reasons for the Intelligence Community's "assessment" that Russia wanted Trump to win and was meddling in the election to achieve that result. According to a Wall Street Journal report:
#8
I'll believe it when I see it, and I/we won't see it.
The instances of moral, ethical, and LEGAL outrage are plenty from Clapper to Comey and, especialy, to Hillary. And what about it? Nada. Zilch. Goose egg. That is your status quo. I actually read less and less of these types of articles now. It's all just noise, sadly to say.
[Washington Examiner] While the nation's attention on drones, Iran and ICE raids, a story from my hometown of Pittsburgh deserved more attention than it got. That story vindicates warnings other members of Congress and I gave in 2015 when President Obama announced a plan to admit thousands of refugees from war-torn Syria, even though national security officials admitted there were gaps in our vetting capabilities. The story also vindicates one of President Trump’s first actions upon taking office.
Last week, the FBI arrested 21-year-old Mustafa Mousab Alowemer, a Syrian who entered the United States as a refugee in August 2016. Alowemer is charged with attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization and with distributing information about explosives to someone he knew intended to use the information to commit a crime of violence.
Alowemer allegedly planned to bomb a Christian church in Pittsburgh that had Nigerian immigrants among its worshipers. His intent was to avenge his ISIS "brothers" killed in Nigeria. He also planned a second bomb, timed to hit police responding to the attack and "lock down the whole [sic] Pittsburgh."
[IsraelTimes] [IsraelTimes] Hundreds of Paleostinians protested throughout the West Bank against this week’s economic conference in Bahrain that will kick off the Trump administration’s plan for Mideast peace. Did they stamp their feet and shake their tiny fists in impotent rage?
Paleostinians on Monday poured into the streets of West Bank cities, from Hebron to Nablus, many burning effigies of President Trump and Bahrain’s king.
Protesters in Ramallah, the seat of the Paleostinian Authority, carried a giant coffin labeled "Bahrain workshop," and signs reading "The Deal of the Century is doomed."
Dozens of youths in the southern West Bank city of Halhul set tires ablaze and slung stones at Israeli soldiers, who responded with tear gas and rubber bullets.
In the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip, protest turnout was meager. A single man dressed as the late Paleostinian leader Yasser Arafat, stood on the street in Gaza City holding a sign that read "Deal of the Devil" and crossed-out Israeli and American flags.
"My message to the meeting in Bahrain, is let us alone, let us in peace," said Ibrahim al-Nahal. "We don’t need your money ... no one can stop the Paleostinian revolution."
Gaza’s Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw, rulers have called for a general strike and mass demonstrations later in the week.

Not viable for a nomadic life of 1 million on little Gaza or the rest of Palestine for that matter.

[IsraelTimes] Israel announced Tuesday morning that it would cut supplies of fuel to the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. Strip after a rash of cross-border arson attacks.
At least 13 brush fires were sparked in southern Israel on Monday by balloon-borne incendiary devices launched from the coastal Paleostinian territory, the local fire service said.
"In the wake of the uptick of incendiary balloons from Gaza into Israel and arsons in the Gaza border area, it has been decided to stop transfers of fuel to the Gaza power station via the Kerem Shalom crossing beginning this morning," COGAT, the Defense Ministry body charged with liaising with the Paleostinians, said in a statement.
The punitive measure marks a shift after Israel over the last several weeks opted instead to put various restrictions on the size of the Strip’s fishing zone in response to arson attacks.
Israel in the past has cut off fuel supplies to Gaza’s sole electricity station in response to attacks emanating from the Strip, though such moves have drawn criticism from Paleostinians and the international community for worsening an already dire humanitarian situation in the Strip.
The restrictions on the fishing zone had also been criticized for punishing fisherman who had no link to the airborne attacks. Last week, Israel extended the fishing zone to 10 nautical miles, after it had been closed entirely for several days.
There was no immediate response to the move from authorities in Gaza, which is ruled by the Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", terror group.
[AnNahar] Eight orphans of Australian Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... fighters have been spirited out of a camp in Syria, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said Monday, in an apparent U-turn.
The children and grandchildren of two notorious jihadis are now in the care of Australian officials, he said in a statement.
The children are believed to be aged between two and 17 and were living in a camp in northern Syria -- making consular access all but impossible.
Morrison previously indicated his government would only help citizens if they approached an embassy or consulate but appeared to have had a change of heart.
"The fact that parents put their children into harm's way by taking them into a war zone was a despicable act," Morrison said in a statement.
"However, the hip bone's connected to the leg bone... children should not be punished for the crimes of their parents."
The group includes three surviving children and two grandchildren of Sydney-born Khaled Sharrouf -- who came to prominence after posting a photo of one of his sons holding the head of a Syrian soldier.
There are also three children of Yasin Rizvic who travelled from Australia to Syria with his wife.
Both Islamic State fighters are presumed dead.
Morrison did not name the children or elaborate on how they were removed, but confirmed they were "repatriated from the conflict zone into the care of Australian government officials".
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported that the children had been moved to a country neighbouring Syria.
Their case had gained widespread attention after the grandmother of the Sharrouf children -- 17-year-old heavily pregnant Zaynab, her younger sister Hoda, their eight-year-old brother Hamzeh, and Zaynab's two young children Ayesha, three, and Fatima, two -- had pleaded with Canberra to bring them home.
Grandmother Karen Nettleton even travelled to the camp earlier this year to meet them but was rebuffed by authorities, and Morrison said he did not want to put Australian lives at risk.
The prime minister on Monday repeated his concerns, adding that "repatriating these children was not a decision the Australian government made lightly".
"Australia's national security and the safety of our people and personnel have always been our most important considerations in this matter," he said.

[AnNahar] The army on Monday announced the end of investigations into the latest deadly holy warrior attack in Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... "The Lebanese Army's Intelligence Directorate has wrapped up its investigations into the operation that was carried out by the terrorist Abdul Rahman Mabsout on June 3, 2019 in several neighborhoods of the city of Tripoli," the military said in a statement.
The attack "resulted in the martyrdom of four servicemen and the wounding of a number of civilians, in addition to material damage to several buildings and military and civilian vehicles," the army added.
"In light of the investigations, the aforementioned directorate has referred to the competent judicial authorities 12 detainees who had ties to the slain terrorist and the operation that he carried out," the military said.
Mabsout is a former member of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. [AnNahar] Two masked button men on a cycle of violence fired shots on Monday at a mosque in the Spanish territory of Ceuta on the northern coast of Africa, local officials said.
No one was injured in the attack which happened in the early hours of Monday, a front man for the Spanish central government's representative in Ceuta said.
"Three bullets struck a mosque early this morning," he told AFP, adding police were looking for two masked button men on a cycle of violence.
A handful of worshipers were inside the Muley el Mehdi mosque, one of the most important in the tiny territory, at the time of the shooting, according to local media.
Ceuta and another Spanish enclave, Melilla, sit on Morocco's Mediterranean coast, and are each surrounded on three sides by Morocco.
They both have a significant Moslem population. Around 37,000 of Ceuta's 85,000 residents are Moslem, according to the Union of Islamic communities of Spain.
[Al Jazeera] Æthiopian security forces have killed the man accused of orchestrating a failed coup d'etat in the northern Amhara region over the weekend.
General Asamnew Tsige, who allegedly led the coup attempt, was shot on Monday near the Amhara state capital Bahir Dar, the prime minister's press secretary, Negussu Tilahun, told Rooters news agency on Monday.
Tilahun declined to give any other details.
"Asaminew Tsige - who has been in hiding since the failed coup attempt over the weekend - has been rubbed out," state broadcaster EBC reported.
The failed putsch on Saturday led to the killing of five bigwigs, including the army chief of staff. The latest to die was the attorney-general of Amhara state, Migbara Kebede, who succumbed to his wounds on Monday.
Asamnew had been on the run with some of his supporters while other plotters have been arrested.
The streets of the capital Addis Ababa appeared calm as military vehicles patrolled the city, while flags were flying at half mast on Monday. Access to the internet appeared to be blocked across Æthiopia, users reported.
The reasons behind the attempted coup in the state remain unclear, although it may have been a reaction from Asamnew to a plan by state officials to rein him in after they were alarmed by reports of his ethnic rhetoric and recruitment of militias.
Brigadier-General Tefera Mamo, head of special forces in Amhara, told state television ... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
on Sunday "most of the people who attempted the coup have been arrested, although there are a few still on the lam".
Asaminew was only last year released from almost a decade in prison over a 2009 coup plot, under a mass prisoner amnesty that began under former Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and continued under his reformist successor Abiy.
Analysts describe him as a hardline Amhara nationalist who was likely facing removal from his job over efforts to form a militia and rhetoric pushing for territory in neighboring Tigray to be reclaimed.
He recently appeared in a Facebook video calling for civilians to arm themselves in preparation for attack.
Amhara is one of Æthiopia's nine autonomous states and its people are the second-largest ethnic grouping after the Oromo.
Both communities spearheaded two years of anti-government protests which led to the resignation of Hailemariam.

Geneva (IraqiNews.com) ‐ U.N. human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... chief Michelle Bachelet said on Monday that 55,000 captured Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... fighters, including foreigners, and their families detained in Syria and Iraq should face fair prosecution or be freed, Rooters reported.
States "must assume responsibility for their nationals" and should not inflict statelessness on fighters’ children who have already suffered so much, Bachelet also told the U.N. Human Rights Council as it opened a three-week session in Geneva.
The 55,000 include alleged imported muscle from nearly 50 countries and 11,000 family members held at the al-Hol camp in northeastern Syria "in deeply sub-standard conditions", she said.
Authorities in northeast Syria have been urging Western countries to take back citizens who joined Islamic State and their relatives after the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) captured the group’s last enclave this year.
"Foreign family members should be repatriated unless they are to be prosecuted for crimes in accordance with international standards. Children, in particular, have suffered grievous violations of their rights ‐ including those who may have been indoctrinated or recruited by ISIS to perpetrate violent acts," Bachelet said.

[IsraelTimes] Police don’t say whether 40-year-old, who had been scouting mission area in Brussels, is a suspected Islamic jihadist.
Belgian counterterror police have arrested a man suspected of plotting an attack against the US embassy in Brussels, federal prosecutors said Monday.
The police on Saturday arrested the man, following "converging signs raising fears of an attack against the US embassy," the prosecutor’s office said.
"The suspect has been detained for an alleged attempted attack within a terrorist context and preparation of a terrorist offense," it said in a statement.
The suspect identified only as M.G. appeared Monday morning before an investigating judge who ordered him held, it added.
The suspect denies any involvement in the alleged plot.
A source close to the investigation told AFP the suspect is a Belgian man of around 40 years and a convert to Islam, who had "raised suspicion because of his behavior."
He had been seen "scouting" the embassy area before he was arrested, the source added, speaking on condition of anonymity ... for fear of being murdered... The source declined to say whether the suspect fit the profile of a jihadist.
A front man for the US embassy said, "We have no comment at this time."

This is all on the traffickers and 'migration' facilitators. Constitutional directives and National priorities can be dynamic enough to feature humane and reasonable allowances; but they cannot be so completely fluidlike gender these days, that they can be simply reworked or discarded at whim and fancy of the impressionable activist or lazy legislator.
Most of these people know the American stand on this kind of immigration, they are willful offenders. Only some are being conned by smugglers and guides for profit. Their children are their responsibility and unacceptable casualties of a large scale crime being committed;, but not by ICE or the US Govt. It is all on the facilitators of illegal immigration and the parents themselves.
The media plays either a mercenary arm or an unwitting accomplice in this crime. Neither the media nor the democrat party ever considers the moral, fundamental right of the citizens of America to refuse to share their geographic territory with foreign entities.

As an action to events, agreed. This however is a reaction to events which requires some catching up on; the blame is on those who are causing this situation.
I seem to recall that something like 75% of the children who have arrived at the border in the current round of events were brought in by adults to whom they are not related, either rented or purchased to help the adults in question get into the U.S. instead of being sent back to Mexico to wait their turn. If so, separating children from adults who may or may not be pedophiles or child traffickers until DNA test results confirm that they are related is basic due diligence. Equally, in a very limited space situation where safe family compounds cannot be maintained, locking children in with unrelated adults who may be pedophiles is unconscionable. The same problem has been occurring in Europe refugee barracks, where rape and general abuse have also been reported.
It must also be remembered that both in Europe and in the American migrant application detainee facilities, the no doubt dreadful experience can be avoided either by not migrating to the U.S. or by choosing to return home.
And, if only the migrants had applied for visas in their home countries or along the way in an orderly manner, they would not have been caught at the border in a deteriorating situation while the application examiners fall farther and farther behind.
[Al Jazeera] Analysts have rebuked the economic part of the United States's Middle East peace plan for failing to address the main problem that has heavily curbed the Paleostinian economy - the 52-year-old Israeli military occupation over the Paleostinian territories.
The economic plan was released by the White House on Saturday and is set to be presented during a US-led workshop in Bahrain on June 25-26.
When the document was released, many noticed that the 40-page plan was void of any political context with the words "occupation", "freedom", "equality", "blockade" missing.
"The absence of those words is actually quite glaring and it's very indicative of what they see is the issue," Diana Buttu, a Haifa-based analyst and former legal adviser to Paleostinian peace negotiators, told Al Jazeera.
"They've put together this optimal, pie-in-the-sky plan that any person who's involved in economic development would love to see. But it's not applicable to Paleostine because they've taken away the political context."
At the heart of the plan is a proposed $50bn investment fund which would be split between Paleostinians in the occupied territories (more than half of the total amount) and its neighbours Egypt, Leb and Jordan.

[ALMASDARNEWS] Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has posted a map on his Twitter, which he says shows another US spy drone encroaching Iranian airspace on 26 May. He also hinted in the tweet that Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... has information about US preparations to blame the Islamic Theocratic Republic for an attack on oil tankers.
The map shows a US MQ9 Reaper drone entering Iranian airspace off the coast of Asaluyeh in Bushehr Province. The UAV received a total of three warnings over the border violation. After it left Iranian airspace it also circled near the country’s border for some time, the map shows.
The foreign minister notably attributed the moves, described in the tweet, to the "B Team" ‐ a group of Trump administration "hawks", which, as Tehran insists, are trying to drag the US into a war with Iran.
The Pentagon is yet to comment on the minister’s revelations.
Zarif previously posted a detailed map showing the flight path of the US drone that was shot down on 20 June, including the spot, where it was destroyed by the country’s air defences. The map explicitly showed that the drone entered Iranian airspace on several occasions and received multiple warnings until it was finally shot down.

[Fox9] Rep. Ilhan Omar's turbulent term raises questions about future of 5th district seat.
Documents obtained by the Star Tribune resurfaced some of the very same questions FOX 9 asked Ilhan Omar years ago and her explanations haven’t always provided much clarity into her marriage history.
While the exact documents the publication obtained have yet to be verified by FOX 9, attorneys say if fraud is uncovered in this case, removal from office and even denaturalization are possibilities.

Don't need new taxes. How about the power to fire at will those who operate VA facilities? That only requires will on the part of pols to change the laws.
[WASHINGTONTIMES] Rep. Ilhan Omar Somali-American Dem representative from Minnesota. She is apparently married to her brother and may be her own grandmaw... said she doesn’t understand why Rep. Alexandria Boom Boom Ocasio-Cortez Dem represntative from da Bronx in Noo Yawk and leader of the Mean Girl Caucus in Congress. One of the Great Minds of the 21st Century, she is known as much for her innaleck as for her dance moves. She is all in favor of socialism, even though she's fuzzy on the details... calling immigrant detention facilities "concentration camps" has been so controversial, seeing that people are "being concentrated" there. "Just add water to reconstitute"
"There are camps and people are being concentrated," Mr. Omar told The Rebel Media on Friday. "This is very simple. I don’t even know why this is a controversial thing for her to say.
"We have to really, truthfully speak about what’s taking place," the Minnesota Democrat said. "And this is why it is really important for us to abolish [U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement] and make sure that we have an agency that is accountable to the people, that is dealing with the situation in a humane way.
"There’s no way that we can allow for kids to be caged in this country and children to be separated from their families and people being terrorized in their communities," she added. "We have to make sure that we are calling it out, and I am 100% with Alex."
Ms. Ocasio-Cortez sparked widespread criticism last week after she repeatedly accused the U.S. government of "running concentration camps on our southern border." She has refused to apologize for her use of the term, saying she is "calling these camps what they are because they fit squarely in an academic consensus and definition."

[NEWS.YAHOO] In his race last year to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz, Beto O’Rourke; ...Kennedyeque businessman, musician, skateboard artiste, and politician who represented Texas' 16th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019. Beto is a Latino nickname for people whose names end in "erto," like "Roberto" or "Alberto." He is seeking the Dem nomination for President in 2020 because he has nice hair and lots of teeth. He was born into a local political family in El Paso, Texas and is a graduate of a prep school and Columbia University, which is not in Texas. In 2005, he was elected to the El Paso City Council. He was elected to Congress in 2012 after defeating eight-term incumbent Silvestre Reyes in the Democratic primary. He declined to seek re-election in 2018, instead running for the Senate against Republican Ted Cruz, running a campaign that drew national attention because of his skateboarding skills. A few months after he lost, he announced his campaign for President... saw remarkable support from African-Americans in Texas. Statewide 89 percent of black voters ‐ including 94 percent of back women ‐ supported O’Rourke’s bid.
Now, as he struggles to gain traction for his presidential bid, O’Rourke has brought onboard one of the architects of that impressive showing, Ian Wilhite, most recently a spokesperson for the LGBT nonprofit Lambda Legal. Wilhite will serve in dual campaign roles: deputy national press secretary and director of African American messaging. Wilhite will be returning to familiar territory, as he held a similar title ‐ communications director for African American outreach ‐ for O’Rourke’s Senate campaign.
"Beto’s vision, dedication, and willingness to speak up for all Americans is what drew so many of us to him to him over the years," said Wilhite in an emailed statement. "So proud to once again work for a candidate who has solutions for some of the greatest challenges we face while bringing people together and refusing to let our differences divide us."
O’Rourke’s relationship with the black community in his home state may be hard to replicate on a national stage crowded with candidates like former Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden ...The former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body... , who has solid support from African-Americans, especially older ones, and Sen. The US military confirmed that the aircraft had been shot down, claiming, however, that it was flying in international airspace in the Strait of Hormuz.
Everyone saw the downing of the unmanned drone", navy commander Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi was quoted as saying by the Tasnim news agency. "I can assure you that this firm response can be repeated, and the enemy knows it".
US President Donald Trump ...the Nailer of NAFTA... previously claimed that after the incident Washington planned a retaliatory attack, which was aborted 10 minutes prior to its start. In the meantime, the US president stressed that he hadn’t "called the strike against Iran BACK", but rather "just stopped it from going forward at this time". The US also introduced a new round of sanction against the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
The drone was downed amid another escalation between Tehran and Washington, with the US increasing its military presence in the Middle East, citing an alleged threat from Iran.

[ALMASDARNEWS] Syria’s oil pipeline in the eastern Mediterranean came under attack recently, state-owned al-Ikhbariya TV reported.
According to the al-Ikhbariya report, at least five oil pipelines were attacked over the weekend; however, no group has been blamed.
"We were informed yesterday about an oil leak off Baniyas. Specialist divers of the Syrian oil company investigated it and found traces of external damage on five pipelines," the Syrian Oil Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
The city of Baniyas is home to one of Syria’s two oil refineries. The other situated in the city of Homs. Syria has been reportedly relying on oil shipments through tankers to its Mediterranean coast.

The family of the driver of the Dodge pickup that hit the bikers said upon returning home after the accident he went into his room and would not come out or eat. He has since been arrested and charges have been filed.
[Chicago Tribune] If you thought that Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s Jussie Smollett ...Cable TV actor whose primary talents seemed to be being black and being homosexual. In a bid for national attention, he paid a pair of Nigerian brothers to rough him up a little so he could claim that two large, white, MAGA hat-wearing men had shouted This is MAGA country! while thumping him at 2:30am on a bitter cold night in Chicago and throwing bleach on him, presumably to lighten him up. The story quickly unraveled, and he became a laughingstock and the poster boy for pretend victimization and attention whoredom... fiasco couldn’t get any worse, it quite clearly can.
At least for her. But not for the people of Cook County. It was a great day for the people.
And it was a great day for retired appellate Judge Sheila O’Brien, who figured, like so many of you, that Foxx’s handling of the Smollett case and her office’s decision to drop the charges against him smelled like the gutters in an alley off the reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ... home of Al Capone, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel,... Way.
On Friday, Cook County Judge Michael Toomin ruled in support of O’Brien’s petition that a special prosecutor be appointed to reinvestigate the Smollett mess. And he mocked Foxx’s "creative lawyering."
This could lead to new charges against Smollett, the Hollywood actor and Obama Celebrity Friend, whom Foxx inexplicably cut loose even after a grand jury indicted him for allegedly faking a racial/political hate crime that became a national media sensation in part because he blamed it all on supporters of President Donald Trump ...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election... But Toomin’s ruling also allows the special prosecutor to delve into Foxx’s own handling of the case, meaning that Foxx and her people may also be questioned, under oath.
Foxx has a big political fundraiser coming up. That will be fun, to hear social justice warriors stand and rally to her side about how great she is for not prosecuting accused criminals like Jussie Smollett, even as she’s being investigated herself.
"Thanks to Judge Toomin’s ruling, we’ll get the truth," O’Brien told me over the phone Friday. "We’ll get the whole truth, all of it, everything and it will be under oath."
Are you happy?
"Yes," O’Brien said. "Because now we’ll have testimony under oath."
We were on the phone, but it was clear the words "under oath" were in italics.
Recent news stories speculating about her possible motives sounded as if they were hatched by Foxx’s political backers and media spinners. I asked O’Brien directly if she would run for state’s attorney.
"No," O’Brien said. "You’re all asking me that, but I am not running for office."
You’re not?
"No," she said. "I am, however, going to lunch."
And she laughed a light, happy laugh.

Kim Foxx is a foot soldier. The commanders giving the orders are Chicago's Communist royalty of which Jussie Smollett was born into.
[Medium] Those poor Hong Kong protesters, how do they ever find ways to outwit the surveillance around them? Americans like to think of China as some police state in the making, but few of us realize how facial recognition and video surveillance will also scale back home.
CCTV cameras in cities are the new normal
Facial recognition tech is improving fast
Video surveillance tech will become global soon
Data harvesting and predictive analytics on people is already widespread
Algorithms aren’t regulated online, and neither is our freedom.
Orwell’s 1984 is really about now, it’s about today. It’s about the kind of world we want to live in.
Increasingly the technology is outpacing the idea that humans deserve a few liberties like free speech, privacy, freedom of expression and a few other little things, like human rights.
We should be able to control our data and have the portability of our friends online. If we don’t like Facebook, we should have the ability to port our friends elsewhere. The internet was supposed to be a tool for us, not the other way around.
Sadly, we don’t live in such a world.
Are we learning? This is what happens when you create timebombs. The government gets involved in subsidizing something. The price goes up. Nobody can afford it. Except the Chinese. Who send their students over here at exorbitant tuition rates (which makes the universities happy). Our students get screwed out of an education so the foreigners we educated take over. The students we have take these loans in some liberal arts major and leave school with debt the size of a mortgage to start life with. They feel screwed. Socialism offers an answer (which ultimately leads to no money for anything, including defense). And the spiral begins. It's like someone planned it this way.
Sen. Bernie Sanders unveiled a plan on Monday to eliminate virtually all student loan debt ‐ about $1.6 trillion held by 45 million Americans ‐ in the most ambitious proposal yet to address the issue from the two dozen Democrats running for president in 2020.
The plan is part of Sanders' proposal to make public universities and community colleges tuition-free. His previously unveiled College for All plan calls for the federal government to provide $47 billion a year toward tuition and for states to provide an additional $23 billion a year.

And guess who owns those stocks and bonds he plans on taxing?
Retirement accounts and Pension funds for the Middle Class. So it really is a tax on the middle class - just not directly. And you will feel it when retire and find the government has sucked most of the yoke out of your nest egg. Because the taxes won't stop at Student Loans... oh no...

I paid my way through college. I worked full time, paid each semester in full at the begining of each semester and took full coarse loads. College close to home, no dorm expense. Barely remember graduation day I was so tired. But I had a degree and owed nothing on graduation day. 18-22 year olds can dp two full time gigs (college/job). Got C's but average grades are good enough.
By the way. Mrs Bernie damaged a college financially she ran once upon a time.
Actually, Democrat President Kennedy and Sergeant Shriver were the first ones to misuse the Social Security account. They used Social Security funds to start the Peace Corps. Not the first or last time our money has been taken from American citizens and given to foreign nations.
Things every US citizen should know and remember about Social Security and changes made:
A History Lesson on Your Social Security Card . . . Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn't know this. It's easy to check out, if you don't believe it. Be sure and show it to your family and friends . They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat or Republican . . .
Facts are Facts
Social Security Cards, until the 1980s, expressly stated that the number and card were NOT to be used for identification purposes. Because nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message, NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION, was removed.
Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program.
He promised:
1.) That participation in the program would be completely voluntary.
No longer voluntary.
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the program.
Now 7.65% on the first $90,000.
3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year.
No longer tax deductible
4.) That the money the participants put into the independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the general operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other government program.
Under Democrat President Lyndon Johnson, the money was moved to the General Fund and Spent.
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.
Under Democrats Clinton & Gore, up to 85% of your Social Security can be taxed.
Because many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to 'put away' -- you may be interested in the following:
Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democrat-controlled House and Senate.
Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democrat Party .
Q: Which political party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democrat Party. Al Gore cast the 'tie-breaking' deciding vote as President of the Senate while he was Vice President of the U.S.
Q: Which political party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
A: That's right! Jimmy Carter and the Democrat Party. Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democrat Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!
Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!
And the worst part about it is that uninformed citizens believe it!

Sooner or later someone is going to ask Bernie where all his money came from. Hopefully it'll be a blue-on-blue but you know Trump won't have a problem making an issue of that corruption.

Bernie has been asked where the money is to come from. His answer sounded like a penny trying to give change; he stuttered and stammered and sounded like Obummer when confused and looking for an answer.
[DAWN] A recent survey carried out in District Jail Malir has found close connection between drugs and crime as it reveals most inmates have landed in the prison due to drug related offenses.
The survey further learnt that a majority of prisoners took to drugs at a young age under peer pressure, some just for fun and others to escape frustration and a significant number of these drug users were married and lived with their families before being arrested and sent to jail.

. . . just landed a cover on a "major" magazine . . . called Paper. Never heard of it before and they think this will help their circulation? Not so much.
#2
This "Paper" magazine has a circulation of what? A couple hundred maybe? Likewise I've never heard of this magazine before this article. which was probably the whole point.
Paper (magazine)
Paper is a New York City-based independent magazine focusing on fashion, popular culture, nightlife, music, art and film.
Paper was founded in 1984 by Kim Hastreiter and David Hershkovits, former editors at the SoHo Weekly News, with help from Lucy Sisman and Richard Weigand. Beginning as a monthly print magazine in the form of a black and white 16-page fold-out, it has since transformed into a quarterly print and digital magazine.[3]
Past cover models include Kim Kardashian, Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Prince, CL, and Jennifer Lopez.
In November 2014, Kim Kardashian was the cover star of the “Break the Internet” issue. Kardashian was interviewed by Paper contributor Amanda Fortini for the spread "No Filter: An Afternoon with Kim Kardashian". The photos for the issue were taken by Jean–Paul Goude.[8] The shoot was a re-creation of Goude's "Champagne Incident", a series of photographs from his 1982 book Jungle Fever.[9] The cover photo, as well as the rest, feature a fully nude Kardashian.
Since the story was published, it has gotten 34,147,700 unique page-views, which is more than double the number of page-views Paper normally receives annually.

[ALMASDARNEWS] A heavy battle broke out this morning when the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) stormed the strategic hilltop of Tal Malah in northwestern Hama.
Led by the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army reportedly stormed the western axis of the hilltop in an attempt to fracture the jihadist lines.
According to a military source near the front-lines in northwestern Hama, intense festivities are still ongoing at the moment; however, no advance has been made.
The Syrian Arab Army is seeking to retake Tal Malah and the nearby town of Jibeen from the jihadist rebels. Tal Malah overlooks the main road between the government strongholds of Mhardeh and Sqaylabiyeh.
Tal Malah and Jibeen were captured by the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... and their allies from Jaish al-Izza two weeks ago.
At the same time, the Syrian Arab Army reported that they managed to shoot down a murderous Moslem drone that was flying over the Christian town of Mhardeh this morning.

[DCWHISPERS] A typo in the state’s automatic voter registration bill would have forced non-citizens to register despite their ineligibility ‐ but politicians vowed it would be fixed.
The bill directs designated state agencies such as the Department of Motor Vehicles, State Board of Elections and Department of Social Services to automatically enroll residents who fill out any paperwork with their agencies.
An "opt-out" box would let people choose not to enroll. But sloppily written instructions specifically directed ineligible non-citizens to not check the box.
The instructions were actually supposed to tell them to check the box so they wouldn’t inadvertently be registered.
"There is a drafting error which [the Democratic] majority has recognized will be fixed in a chapter amendment," Assembly Democrats wrote in a memo obtained by The Post.
A "chapter amendment" means politicians will pass the bill as-is and then edit the language after the fact.

The British newspaper "Independent in Arabic" quoted an intelligence source as saying that in 2018 Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... had delivered half a ton of TATP explosives in diplomatic packages to a civilian plane that was supposed to be transferred to Gay Paree to carry out an attack in the city.
According to the report, the plane arrived from Tehran to Geneva in June 2018, following an Iranian plan to carry out a terrorist attack during a meeting of the Iranian opposition. According to a report based on intelligence sources, the attack was supposed to be carried out by an Iranian intelligence official who worked at the Iranian embassy in Austria since 2014, but French intelligence thwarted the attack after the authorities arrested a Belgian couple of Iranian origin who had the explosives in their car on their way to Gay Paree.
A Western intelligence source said the intelligence official visited Tehran on July 20, 2018, where he received TATP explosives. On June 22, he transferred explosives in a civilian plane from Tehran to Austria on flight OS872, when the material was delivered in a diplomatic suitcase aboard the Airbus A320. The plane had 240 passengers.
The source added that the transfer of the explosives into a civilian plane constitutes a clear and blatant blow to all international treaties related to security in international aviation, for if it enters into strong pockets of air, the plane would explode in the air. The source referred to the Russian plane that went kaboom! shortly after taking off from the Sharm el-Sheikh airport in Egypt three years ago, and all 244 passengers aboard were killed by an explosive charge weighing half a kilogram of TNT.
According to the intelligence source, the material seized by the Belgian couple in Iran and its transfer to a terrorist attack on a civilian plane is a dangerous violation of international conventions. According to the source, Iran frequently uses civilian aircraft and civilian airlines to transport explosives, weapons and ballistic missiles, as well as funds to Hezbollah in Leb and elsewhere in the world.

Some errors in the report here. It was half a kilo.
Assadollah Assadi, was listed as a low-ranking official at Iran’s Vienna embassy, but identified by dissidents as station chief of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) in Vienna since 2014. He handed the briefcase to an Iranian migrant family - a Mr. Amir Saadouni and his wife, Nasimeh Naami in Luxembourg and wanted him to blow up a meeting of the NCRI. The event 'Free Iran: the Alternative' was attended by dignitaries from the U.S., Europe and Middle East, including President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) Maryam Rajavi, advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump Rudy Giuliani, former U.S. Congressman Newt Gingrich, former French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, former Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird, and others.
Iran denied a plot to blow up the NCRI also called the Mujahideen-e-Khalq obsessive fuckers, which aims to overthrow Khomeini and end clerical rule in Iran.
The spymaster was held in Germany on a Europe-wide arrest warrant and was later extradited to Belgium for trial. According to the charges, Assadi has participated in regime-sponsored assassinations for Iran for nearly thirty years.
Here’s hoping more congregations of all faiths and denominations make the same decision.
[Jpost] A rabbi here has asked congregants to consider bringing guns to religious services as a form of protection in response to recent shootings at synagogues across the country.
Rabbi Dan Rodkin of Shaloh House in Brighton, a Boston neighborhood with a large number of Russian-speaking Jews, told the public radio station WBUR that the rise in hate crimes across the country and the loss of life at the Chabad at Poway and the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh influenced his thinking.
Rodkin fears that increased safety measures implemented at Shaloh House ‐ they include security cameras, reinforced glass windows and panic buttons ‐ are no longer sufficient protection. The rabbi said the actions of an off-duty officer at the Poway Chabad center, where one woman was murdered, may have prevented further casualties.
"I know it sounds horrible, but I think it’s a very logical approach for the situation we’re in," he said in an interview on the WBUR "Morning Edition" program. "I don’t want people to have guns. But I think to protect our families, it’s a necessity now."
Several of his congregants, including former soldiers and retired police, are now carrying guns into daily services at Rodkin’s synagogue, which also operates a day school.
According to the Shaloh House website, "It was founded under the auspices and instruction of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, who envisioned the creation of a Jewish school in Boston that would serve the needs of the children from non-observant families."
Rodkin, who said in the interview that he plans to get a gun and organize training for new firearm owners, was not available for comment.
Neal Gold, the president of the Massachusetts Board of Rabbis, told WBUR that he understands the concerns about security but said individuals and synagogues have to balance a tension between safety and the Jewish tenet of welcoming the stranger.
Recent violence targeting Jewish houses of worship has heightened concern at synagogues in Massachusetts and across the country, he said.
Massachusetts has seen a rise in anti Semitic incidents and hate crimes, including recent arson attacks against two Boston-area Chabad centers.
Jeremy Yamin, director of security and operations at Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston, who advises the area’s Jewish institutions, told the radio station that he has heard from other synagogues who are weighing the same question about congregants carrying guns. He cautioned that the decision to carry a gun is not simple and that even those trained with firearms would face a myriad of uncertainties if they confronted an active shooter in their synagogue.
Will also need militia. Urban tactical training and security routines. They should use the prevailing insecurity to arm up and start local community training programs, plenty of gun clubs and veterans should help. At least until someone objects.
Or it'll be just 100 kilo schleps with uzis and gold rings. Still, that's better than nothing.

This is Massachusetts we're talking about here.
The irony is hilarious. Mass. doesn't allow anyone to carry icky, scary guns.
These coward Jews should just suck it up and die like the proggies want. We're talking right next to Harvard there and the idea of Jews with guns must scare the crap out them.

1. Dont use Chrome. Use Firefox - or if you have to have a Chrome-based browser, Brave is a solid alternative. And use DuckDuckGo as mentioned above for searches. And get an extension that forces https encryption as the default protocol. If you really want to ensure browsing privacy, use a virtual machine that you wipe every time, and a VPN to connect, and if you dont mind it being sloggy, use TOR.
If you still must have Google search results, but without giving Google the tracking, use StartPage, it anonymizes the search request and returns the results to you without giving you away to Google.

Trump told reporters at the White House on Monday that the sanctions would deny Khamenei access to financial resources.
“The supreme leader of Iran is the one who ultimately is responsible for the hostile conduct of the regime,” Trump said.

[DAWN] TAXILA: A woman lost her life while saving her daughter from being raped in Jallia village located in the limits of Hazro cop shoppe early on Sunday.
The body of the woman remained unattended at the THQ hospital for hours as no female doctor was available to conduct an autopsy.
Station House Officer (SHO) Mohammad Azam told newsmen that a suspect entered the house after scaling the wall and attempted to sexually assault a married woman.
The woman was living with her mother after developing differences with her in-laws.
The SHO said as the woman screamed, her mother came to rescue her. However, Switzerland makes more than cheese... the intruder stabbed the mother with a knife and also injured her daughter.
The SHO said the attacker fled from the house.
He said the neighbours shifted the two injured women to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Hazro from where the old woman was taken to Rawalpindi where she died.
When the body was brought back to the THQ hospital for his appointment with Doctor Quincy, people related to the women and the attacker clashed. Some of them were later arrested.
The SHO said the police registered a murder case against the suspect and arrested him.
The body of the woman remained unattended at the THQ hospital for hours as no female doctor was available to conduct an autopsy.

[DAWN] An under-trial prisoner (UTP) died under controversial circumstances inside the district jail, Malir, officials said on Sunday.
His relatives and other prisoners alleged that the UTP, Sagheer Tanoli, died from torture as there were visible marks on the body.
However, there's more than one way to stuff a chicken... prison authorities claimed that he was brought to jail in an ’injured’ condition and he died during treatment at the jail hospital.
The UTP was arrested by the Saeedabad police a couple of days ago. The police said that he got injuries on the shoulder when he was taken into custody.
A case was registered against him under sections 380 (theft in dwelling house, etc), 457 (lurking house-trespass or house-breaking by night in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment), 109 (abetment) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistain Penal Code.
He was sent to the Malir prison on June 13 and on the night of June 22, his condition deteriorated and he died at the medical ward/hospital of the prison.

[BREITBART] Three people had acid thrown on them in two separate incidents over just a few hours in London, including a market stall vendor targeted by people "wearing burqas".
Djamil Mogdad was preparing his clothes stall around at 6.40am on Friday morning at Walthamstow Market when he was "assaulted with a corrosive substance", according to a Metropolitan Police front man.
"Officers and the London Fire Brigade attended. The man was taken to an east London hospital for treatment; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening," the front man added.
"It is alleged that the victim had been approached by two suspects, both wearing burkhas, and had the substance thrown at him before they fled in a waiting car.
"There have been no arrests and enquiries continue."
A binman who was at the scene and gave chase to the attackers said that he was "in the cafe having a cup of tea with the boys when Djamil ran in".
He added: "He was shouting: ’I have been attacked by acid.’ He knew it was acid straight away. I jumped up and... [went] out and I see two people running so I ran after them. They were covered in black burqas. All I could see is the back of them so I couldn’t tell if they were men or women.
"I got to the top of the road and I see them get in a car. They knew where the car was."
"I managed to get the first three registration numbers but it was all so quick, and they sped off and that was it... The whole thing lasted around 30 seconds. Where the acid hit the pavement it was bubbling on the floor," he added.
A fellow trader who said he has "spoken to [the victim’s] nephew who is in the hospital with him" appeared to confirm the burqa story, suggesting that "the way [the attackers] ran he said it was not like the way a lady runs it was like the way a man runs. So it was two people wearing ladies clothes."
"They were waiting for him this morning. There was only a few stalls out and they went straight to him," he said.

[Rudaw] Iraq is set to become self-sufficient in producing wheat and barley this year, despite a rash of fires and security issues.
This year’s harvest in Nineveh is reportedly better than ever and will bring a bumper crop for the country.
According to Iraq’s Ministry of Agriculture, the wheat fields in Nineveh, Kirkuk, ... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time... Anbar and some other areas in Iraq have increased harvest production since they were liberated from the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. (ISIS).
1.3 million tons of wheat and 1.4 million tons of barley are expected to be harvested this year.
Still, up to 1.7 million acres of fields in Nineveh weren’t included in agricultural planning, as they still need to be cleared of bombs and mines. After clearing the bombs, productivity in the country could be even higher.
The Iraqi government pays a subsidized price for wheat. While average wheat market prices fall between while average wheat market prices fall between 350,000 and 420,000 IQD ($293- $352 USD) per ton of top grade wheat, Iraqi farmers receive around 520,000 IQD ($436 USD) per ton.
[WASHINGTONTIMES] Sen. Bernie Sanders ...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being a socialist... said Sunday President Trump’s announcement there would be mass deportations is purely political, saying there’s better ways to deal with the immigration problem at the southern border.
"It’s not an accident he announced this the same time he announced he was seeking reelection," the Vermont Independent told CBS. "This is his entire political strategy to divide the American people up."
Mr. Sanders comments come after the president delayed mass deportations, which were set to begin Sunday. He said they would occur in two weeks if Democrats don’t come up with a solution to fix the flood of migrants colonists at the southern border.
But on Sunday, the president took to Twitter to say he doubts Congress will act to change asylum loopholes.
"I want to give the Democrats every last chance to quickly negotiate simple changes to Asylum and Loopholes. This will fix the Southern Border, together with the help that Mexico is now giving us. Probably won’t happen, but worth a try. Two weeks and big Deportation begins!" the president tweeted Sunday.

News flash for Sanders and others on the left: We were divided well before Trump came along - I'm not interested in paying off student loans I didn't coerce anybody into signing up for. I'm not interested in paying for "free services" of any kind for people who are coming here illegally from wherever. I'm not interested it those people participating in our elections once they have latched on to the gummint teat. I don't care what strange, weird, bad and otherwise indefensible "lifestyle choices" other people make, nor am I interested in having the government coerce me into validating said choices. I don't think Jussie Smollett is innocent. If all that makes me rayciss, fasciss and sexiss, then I'll cop to that. But understand calling me those things "divides us" too...

[IsraelTimes] At least 13 brush fires were sparked in southern Israel on Monday by balloon-borne incendiary devices launched from the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. Strip, the local fire service said.
Two fires, at Alumim Forest and near the Nir Am Reservoir, have not yet been brought under control, firefighters said Monday evening.
According to a statement, five of the fires were sparked in the Eshkol Regional Council area southeast of Gaza, three in the Sha’ar Hanegev area northeast of the Strip, and five in the Sdot Negev region, east of Gaza.
All 13 fires were found by Sherlocks to have been started by these balloon-borne arson devices, the fire department said.
Tensions with Gaza have been steadily rising in recent weeks amid a spike of incendiary balloon attacks, including some that carried bombs that detonated in the air or on the ground inside Israeli territory.
Another branch of the deep state swamp, CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2007 Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development terror-financing case. The government alleged the Texas-based group, once the largest Muslim charity in the U.S., funneled millions of dollars to the Palestinian militant group Hamas...
[PJMedia] A group banned from associated with the FBI because of its alleged ties to Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw, is still a go-to resource for law enforcement officials in South Florida.
The leaders of Council on American Islamic Relations Florida recently met with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida. Those leaders included Wilfredo Amr Ruiz and Nezar Hamze. This meeting was held within the context of a federal program called Group Violence Initiative, which is designed to counter gang violence in inner-city communities.
FBI policy has formally prohibited the federal law enforcement agency from associating with CAIR since 2008, due to the group’s documented ties to organizations involved with financing the terrorist group Hamas. A similar policy does not exist for the U.S. Department of Justice despite previous efforts in Congress to encourage the DOJ to institute such a policy, despite federal prosecutors writing that "from its founding by Moslem Brüderbund leaders, CAIR conspired with other affiliates of the Moslem Brüderbund to support terrorists." CAIR has also been designated as a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates.
Despite these relationships, CAIR Florida has continued to successfully interface with federal officials. In 2017, CAIR Florida participated in a DHS Civil Rights and Civil Liberties town hall and in 2016, the Department of Homeland Security hired the CAIR Florida branch to facilitate a training event between DHS and State Department officials and French Law enforcement.

[IsraelTimes] Community had grown to 60,000-strong, and was prompting concerns elsewhere on social media platform; similar, smaller group still operates.
After allowing it to flourish for nine months, Reddit has banned an internet community comprising tens of thousands of members that critics elsewhere on the platform said was associated with the online neo-Nazi ...adherents of a philosophy that was seen even at the time as pure evil, which makes them either consciously and purely evil, or attention-seeking ratbags. Pick one, or both.... movement.
The /r/frenworld community had grown to 60,346 subscribers before its ban by the Reddit administration on Thursday. In an explanation posted on the group’s former web page, Reddit stated that "this subreddit was banned for violations of our Content Policy, specifically, the posting of content that glorifies or encourages violence."
A similar community, with a smaller subscriber group of some 15,000, was still functioning as of this writing, however, as were several much smaller communities.
[WASHINGTONTIMES] A conservative nonprofit has filed a federal lawsuit accusing the Crooked Hillary Clinton ...former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away... campaign of violating election laws when it paid British citizen Remington Christopher Steele to gather Kremlin-provided political dirt on candidate Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... Though not stated outright, the lawsuit argues that Democrats violated an admonition issued last week by Federal Election Commission Chairman Ellen L. Weintraub. She decreed that political campaigns cannot accept "anything of value" from foreign nationals.
The lawsuit from The Coolidge Reagan Foundation says the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee accepted something of value from a foreign national, Mr. Steele, in the form of Kremlin anti-Trump smut.
The suit’s purpose is to persuade a federal judge to order the FEC to vote on whether to open a formal investigation. Coolidge Reagan filed an FEC complaint in August. It was accepted for review, but there has been no formal commission action, according to Dan Backer, the foundation’s founder and president.
Ms. Weintraub issued her warning on June 13 after President Trump told ABC News that he would listen to foreign allegations against a political appointment.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... has allegedly prohibited the jihadist rebels in northern Syria from using anti-aircraft missiles against Russian jets, the news site Avia.Pro reported.
According to the Russian publication, the Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces handed over portable anti-aircraft missile systems (i.e. MANPADS) to protect themselves and their territory from Syrian Air Force strikes.
However, Switzerland makes more than cheese... the jihadist rebels, specifically Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... , were reportedly prohibited from using these MANPADS against the Russian Air Force. The Russian and Ottoman Turkish armed forces maintain good relations in Syria, despite their disagreements on the leadership of the country.
Initially, it was reported that dozens of FIM-92 Stingers were handed over to Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, but Avia.Pro believes, citing recent photographs from northern Syria, that the MANPADS are Soviet-era anti-aircraft missiles.
The holy warrior forces did capture a large quantity of these Soviet-era MANPADS during the first years of the war. The MANPADS were left behind by the Syrian Arab Army and recovered by groups like the Free Syrian Army ... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund... (FSA).

Maybe Turkey could ask them to stop OTHER things too.
[IsraelTimes] In a reality once unthinkable, Assad’s troops along Golan border are heeding commanders of the Iran-backed terror group, and helping it prepare for conflict with the Jewish state.
Earlier this month, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based watchdog group, reported that Israeli fighter jets struck Hezbollah positions on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights. There was no Israeli comment on the claim.
The report said one of the targets was a post on Tel al-Harra, a mountain that is considered a strategic point that overlooks the Golan Heights, while the other was in Quneitra, near the UN-monitored border crossing with Israel, where Arab media reports a Syrian air-defense position and a Hezbollah intelligence center are located.

I do, TW. The archives only recently opened for me. I'm reading Fred's excellent analyses from 2001 on down. It's like a chronicle of all that has happened since to get us where we are.
Seen in this way, following events, organizations, persons of interest, the changing modalities of media and their compulsions... it provides a gestalt of the essential condition of today, especially in parts of the world where things matter significantly enough to affect all the other parts. Stripped of rhetoric and partisan nuance, with irony and the humor that stems from the necessity of our condition dripping from every report - it's journalism pure and simple.
It's amazing what you've done. It's unfortunate that the fashionably 'woke' and obsessively unreasonable progressives will never partake of this and never understand. There was a lot here they could learn.

The UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) estimates that there are 29,000 children of imported muscle in Syria, of which 20,000 are from Iraq.
In total, more than 55,000 suspected ISIS fighters and their families have been detained in Syria and Iraq following the gang's collapse. Most of them are citizens of these two countries, but overall the suspected ISIS fighters come from nearly 50 countries, Bachelet said.

[CNN] Mexico has deployed almost 15,000 troops to the US-Mexico border, according to the country's Secretary of Defense Luis Sandoval.
"In the northern part of the country, we have deployed a total of almost 15,000 troops composed of National Guard elements and military units," Sandoval announced today in Cancun.
Approximately 2,000 National Guard members have already been deployed to Mexico's southern border with Belize and Guatemala, he noted, adding to the 4,500 troops already spread across the area. Many migrants begin their journey in Central America and even further south, passing through Mexico on their way toward the United States.
The deployments come after renewed pressure from the Trump administration on Mexico to help slow migration flows northward. Mexico, however, has also called on the United Nations and the United States to help with the monumental task.
"Migration is not a crime, it is an administrative responsibility," Sandoval said.
