[News With Views] Before mass leaders seize the power to fit reality to their lies, their propaganda is marked by its extreme contempt for facts as such, for in their opinion fact depends entirely on the power of man who can fabricate it. —Hannah Arendt, quote from The Origins of Totalitarianism
We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. —Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Elie Wiesel
The history of man is the history of crimes, and history can repeat. So, information is a defense. Through this we can build, we must build, a defense against repetition. —Simon Wiesenthal, Baltimore Jewish Times, 1989
Communism is a system based around a theory of economic equality and advocates for a classless society. Fascism is a nationalistic, top-down system with rigid class roles ruled by an all-powerful dictator. Communism originated in Europe, but when it failed to take root, they immigrated to the "land of the free" in 1848.
Over 13 communists were high level officers in the Union Army. Karl Marx wrote a number of letters to President Lincoln, knowing that the war would ultimately give the centralized federal government absolute power over the states, and we’ve seen this time and again with state laws being overturned by a federal court.
After Lincoln’s assassination, President Johnson also received letters from Karl Marx. The Reconstruction Act of 1867 placed Southern governments under military rule for ten long years, and technically for the two years prior to the Act. The South had to pledge to vote for Republican candidate, Rutherford B. Hayes as president in order to end reconstruction. Thousands of government officials were removed from office in the South and replaced with military commanders. It was a very brutal time for the southern population.
Punished With Poverty by James Ronald Kennedy and Walter Donald Kennedy explodes the myths taught in our government schools and tells the unvarnished story of the intentional policy of economic devastation and exploitation of the South which has affected all Southerners, both black and white, long after the close of the "Civil War" and "Reconstruction." In fact, the sad legacy of these punitive policies continues to this very day.
The despotic seeds of tyranny were planted in America long ago and have now come to fruition. Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum, Fauci’s filthy NIH, Bill Gates’ Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, Soros Foundations and Big Pharma are making huge profits via the propaganda spewed by their comrades in our Pravda media.
Lobbyists for Big Pharma are filling the coffers of federal and state politicians to promote the lies of the FDA, NIH, CDC, medical journals and AMA on a virus 99.8% of the people recover from. Billions are being made, but hard data proves Big Pharma knew Covid jabs would worsen and prolong the virus.
There are powerful forces at work, far more powerful than we can possibly know, who are influencing anyone in a position of authority. History is repeating itself. What we saw in the 20th century is again rearing its demonic head in the 21st century.
Hitler’s burgeoning power seemingly happened in a short period of years, yet strategy and planning were years ahead of the regime change and "insurrection."
[Free Beacon] A majority of American parents are unaware that China, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar are among the top financiers of U.S. universities and are worried that foreign cash is influencing what their children are taught in the classroom, according to a recent poll.
Nearly 60 percent of those interviewed in the September poll said they were not aware that the countries are major donors to U.S. universities. The poll was commissioned by the Lawfare Project, a nonprofit advocacy group that tracks campus issues.
Qatar’s presence in the U.S. academic system was concerning to parents when they learned about the small Gulf nation’s deep ties to Iran and terrorist organizations such as Hamas and the Taliban. Eighty-four percent of those surveyed said American schools should publicly disclose their ties to Qatar and explain how the money could be coloring the in-class agenda, according to the poll, which surveyed 2,009 adults last month and was provided exclusively to the Washington Free Beacon.
While extensive foreign funding of American universities has raised alarms in Congress and among advocacy groups such as the Lawfare Project, ordinary American parents are not aware of the issue. This is partly because American schools do not publicly disclose their funding and in many cases try to hide their ties to adversarial nations like China. Foreign countries see the U.S. academic system as central to their propaganda efforts, including anti-Israel initiatives. In the case of countries such as China, they seek to steal cutting-edge research. More than 80 percent of those surveyed said Congress should enact legislation requiring schools to publicly account for every foreign donation.
Around 70 percent of those surveyed said they were concerned that foreign donations influence teaching and research priorities. In Qatar’s case, the country has spent billions running propaganda efforts in at least 28 American universities, generating concerns these donations run afoul of U.S. law. With anti-Semitism and anti-Israel attitudes increasing on many American campuses, foreign money has helped foment these movements, including at the University of North Carolina and Duke University—both of which have been embroiled in a long-running controversy over Qatar’s funding of programs critics see as anti-Semitic.

The Gulf donations have been reported since the 1980s, the Communist Chinese donations for at least a decade. Presumably the same people who don’t “know” also fervently believe the New York Times and NPR.
[GatewayPundit] WION Gravitas, a popular prime-time show in India that brings viewers news and discussions on concurrent issues and across the globe, exposed in a recent episode how Pfizer bullies and blackmails countries for shots and took a hard line in the push for profit.
A non-profit organization called Public Citizen obtained a confidential unredacted Pfizer contract of some of its negotiations. The contracts show how Pfizer can stop countries from speaking about its contracts, block vaccine donations, unilaterally change delivery schedules and demand public assets as collateral.
I would dearly love to know how these contracts compare to the usual purchase agreement for other proprietary materials before I agree that I need to get upset. After all, 60 Minutes is a popular prime time show in America, and we all know how trustworthy their reports are.

India, which has a large state controlled (if not owned) pharmaceutical industry, wants all IPO restrictions dropped ... for the children! They have been threatening to ignore all foreign patents for many year.
[Zero] Today, Biden was seen dozing off during the opening speeches of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Scotland - an event widely dubbed in the media as humanity's "last best chance" to reign in the "out of control" specter of incoming climate "disaster". So much for that.
The video showing an apparently unenthused and unimpressed US president trying to initially fight sleep before succumbing completely - after which an aide has to come prompt him awake - has gone viral since being shared by The Washington Post's Zach Purser Brown.
The question must be asked: does even the president himself or the administration really believe its own apocalyptic climate alarmist rhetoric? At the very least, the body language says no....

Stop paying attention to Magoo.
Start asking, in deadly earnest: Who the f--k is running this country?
How can we possibly allow these mad freaks to destroy literally everything in such short order?

Falling asleep while the wife and dozens of her pals are out shopping. Think of the savings, free shipping and no customs declarations upon returning to Andrews AFB. Just 52 more shopping days until Christmas.
Just a guess, but I suspect there won't be any media coverage of their return and off-loading at Andrews? Again, just a guess.

To be fair, I've also had trouble staying awake during opening talks at what in my time zone would be 3 in the morning. However, I was alone and didn't have an entourage to ply me with coffee and amphetamines.

I'd say Edith Ruby Keeler, a great deal more respectable than:
Christine Margaret Keeler was an English model and showgirl. Her meeting at a dance-club with society osteopath Stephen Ward drew her into fashionable circles. At the height of the Cold War, she became sexually involved with a married government minister, John Profumo, as well as with a Soviet naval attaché, Yevgeny Ivanov.

[American Thinker] Unbelievable. That's really the only way to describe the never-ending onslaught of bad news and incredible occurrences that are exploding in our daily lives. Just when you think it couldn't get any worse, that they can't be serious, that it seems as if the "Biden" administration's sole goal is to make each person's life as wretchedly painful as possible, BAM! — another incredible misery warhead detonates on our reality.
So far, in only nine months, the Biden war machine has inflicted almost incomprehensible damage on the American people:
Rising Inflation
With their excessive government spending and totally over-the-top COVID unemployment assistance (to the point that far too many people are completely disincentivized from going back to work), inflation has roared back with a vengeance not seen in decades. The economy is reeling, household budgets are upside-down, and everyone's purchasing power is melting away before our eyes. The government stutters and yammers about it being "transitory," but everyone can see that's simply not true.
High Energy Prices
After pipeline cancelations and the widespread rescinding of oil exploration leases, the administration has accomplished its mission: it's sent the world's oil market the unmistakable, intentional message that America is no longer interested in being a top-tier oil producer. Predictably, the price of crude oil has risen from the $40s/bbl to the mid-$80s/bbl. Gasoline and heating oil are more expensive now than we ever thought they'd be again.
Vaccine Mandates
These are not "vaccines." A real vaccine prevents disease and prevents the transmission of that disease. These do neither. (To their credit, if you "read between the lines" and paid close attention in the beginning, the drug-makers never said they were traditional vaccines — only that they would mitigate the symptoms to some degree and reduce the severity of the infection.) These are really nothing more than therapeutics, with bad side effects. Safer, more effective, and cheaper therapeutics already exist, like ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. But the government's politically motivated refusal to encourage or even allow any mention or use of these proven therapeutics is further evidence that the entire COVID debacle has been hijacked by Progressives to rig elections and wrest control of the country. They need to perpetuate the public's fear of the COVID crisis in order to maintain their control of the voting process and they are doing everything they can toward that end.
Betraying the Average American
Progressives have proposed new taxes on unrealized capital gains and Roth IRAs. This is a betrayal of the American people, pure and simple. Millions of people have invested and planned their family's finances in good faith based on the rules that were in effect at the time of the original investment. Now Progressives want to change the rules after the game has started? This is beyond belief.
American Hostages Ignored
This administration abandoned hundreds of Americans in Afghanistan by evacuating our military before all the civilians were out. How is that even remotely possible? What genius approved that plan? Just because the liberal media (network news, the N.Y. Times, the Washington Post, CNN/MSNBC, et al.) don't continually trumpet, "The president has abandoned American hostages to the Taliban!" the way they would if it were President Trump, that doesn't mean it's not true. It's just further proof of how corrupt the liberal media are and how totally gullible and ignorant the average Progressive voter is.

There is some speculation about crude oil going to $180. per barrel. If anything close to that happens, the economy will suffer like we've never seen in any of our lifetimes.
In re-reading it, I was even surprised of how many historical similarities there are between the Biden/DC Swamp driven Coup and King George of England in 1776.

A good bellwether of when a revolution starts in any country is the food prices jumping by 20% or more. Most people can't afford that and it usually is combined with food shortages.
Well right now we have a 17% food cost jump and food shortages. How much longer before some red states say "Enough" and jump?

There is some speculation about crude oil going to $180. per barrel. If anything close to that happens, the economy will suffer like we've never seen in any of our lifetimes.
Besoeker, that's probably within 10% of what the price of crude oil was in 2008 if you take into account 30% worth of inflation.
And between then and now about half the oilfield has been driven out of business with whips and scourges.

Anyone heard anything about those Chinese ships anchored off the California coast?

Filled with Chinese Soldiers and Military Equipment ready for the "Thanksgiving Day Invasion"
A Chinese invasion would be even less effective than our recent attempt in Afghanistan. Perhaps if they sent their entire million man army... An invasion after releasing a plague wouldn’t be any more effective, given the demonstrated uselessness of their vaccine development program, even with the head start of knowing what they were dealing with.
The cargo is color coded,
Mr. Wife had never heard of such a thing, despite a decade working as a purchasing department head
[AnNahar] At least 22 people were killed in a Huthi rebel missile strike on a mosque south of the strategic Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... i city of Marib, officials said on Monday.
"Twenty-two people, including children, were killed and 19 others were maimed in a Huthi missile attack on a mosque... in al-Jawba district" on Sunday night, a pro-government military official told AFP.
Yemen's Information Minister Muammar al-Eryani said on Twitter that 29 people were killed in the attack.
Possibly the same attack, reported a few hours earlier:
[AnNahar] At least 10 non-combatants were killed and 25 maimed when two ballistic missiles from Yemen's Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... rebels stuck a religious educational facility in the central province of Marib, officials said Monday.
The missiles hit Dar al-Hadith - a religious school and a mosque - in the residential neighborhood of al-Aumd late Sunday and the casualties included women and kiddies, they said.
The attack also damaged nearby houses, said the officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief media.
There was no immediate comment from the Iranian-backed Houthis, who have attempted for months to take oil-rich Marib to complete their control over the northern half of Yemen.
The facility includes a religious school and a mosque attended by about 1,200 Moslem students from across the country. Most of the students and teachers left the area last month as the Houthis made progress in their offensive on Marib.
Muammar al-Iryani, information minister of the internationally recognized government, said the casualties included women and kiddies.
"This horrific massacre comes after a series of systematic killings of civilians that the terrorist Houthi militia committed in the past few days" in the government-held cities of Marib and Taiz, he said.
A Houthi ballistic missile struck the house of a key tribal leader in al-Aumd on Thursday, killing at least 11 civilians and wounding 16 others.
On Saturday, the Houthis shelled the residential Camp neighborhood on the outskirts of the government-held city of Taiz, killing at least three children from the same family. At least six other children were maimed, according to al-Iryani.
Meanwhile in Tazi, government forces and allied tribal fighters launched an offensive late Sunday on the last remaining pocket held by the Houthis on the city's the south western outskirts.
The government-run SABA news agency reported Monday that at least seven Houthi fighters were killed including a field commander, and six others were maimed.
[ToloNews] 34 members of ISIS joined the Islamic Emirate on Monday in the eastern province of Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. , a local official said on Monday.
These ISIS fighters were present in the Spinghar and Koot districts.
The provincial intelligence director, Dr. Basheer, said that tribal elders mediated between the Islamic Emirate and ISIS affiliates.
"34 members of ISIS who were active in the Koot and Momandara areas joined the Islamic Emirate," he said. "The tribal elders decided that if anyone violates the tribal codes, their houses will be set on fire."
With winter coming? Harsh!
In Afghanistan, ISIS first emerged in late 2014 in Nangarhar.
"I call on those who are in ISIS to come and join the Islamic Emirate and play your role in the construction of the country," said Rashid, a member of the group that crossed over.
"The Islamic Emirate showed us a lot of respect and told us that we should not violate the conditions, and should focus on improving our country," said, Gul Dad, a former member of ISIS.
According to the provincial intelligence department, at least 149 members of ISIS have so far switched allegiance to the Islamic Emirate.
[AnNahar] Saudi Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century... on Monday executed a man convicted of trying to shoot dead security forces and weapons charges, with alleged links to figures accused of terrorist activities, state media reported.
He was executed in Dammam in the Eastern Province, which has seen bouts of unrest since 2011 when mostly Moslem Shiite protesters emboldened by the Arab Spring uprisings erupted into the streets.
The demonstrators demanded an end to what they called discrimination by the Sunni-dominated government, a charge Riyadh denies.
The Saudi man who was executed "took part in two shooting operations against security forces with an intent to kill" and "in dealing and possessing weapons," the interior ministry said.
He was "linked to people wanted for terrorism-related activities", the ministry added in its statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency.
Human rights group Amnesia Amnesty International said in August that at least 40 people were executed between January and July in Saudi Arabia, more than for the whole of 2020.
More than 60 people have been executed this year in the kingdom, according to an AFP tally based on official statements.
Saudi Arabia put 184 people to death in 2019, according to Amnesty, which has said it was the highest number recorded in a single year in the country.
Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia's state-run Human Rights Commission said it had documented 27 executions in 2020, a decrease over the previous year due in part to a moratorium on the death penalty for drug offences.
For Republicans, violence may be. But as we have been seeing for several years, for Democrats whatever percentage it is has already been exercising the violence they believe is necessary

obama and soros have solidified the intermediate levels of 'justice' with their support for 'DA's. Given the penumbra's that have been found in the constitution and all the left da's how do revert to a conservative union? I say Texas should lead a secession and revert the constitution to the first 10 amendments. Violence should result in the perps being enclosed in an outdoor 'camp' with tent shelters and an open door to leave the new country. The USA has become rotten at the core and we need a new core.

[Mercer] It matters not that the few "Republican governors crusading against vaccine mandates are [allegedly] facing significantly lower approval ratings on their handling of the coronavirus pandemic than their counterparts," as Politico purports. (Don’t believe Politico!)
What matters are governors like Texas’ Greg Abbott, who "flat-out banned vaccine requirements, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, followed up by vowing to sue the Biden administration."
These two governors are unique in upholding natural, inalienable, individual rights—the right of self ownership, bodily dominion; the stuff mocked by President Joe Biden, wearing a ghoulish grin.
Biden’s remark came at a recent, highly contrived CNN townhall, during which "moderator Anderson Cooper noted that as many as one in three emergency responders in some major cities are refusing to comply with city vaccine mandates."
"I’m wondering where you stand on that," inquired Cooper. "Should police officers, first responders be mandated to get vaccines? And if not, should they be mandated to stay at home, let go?"
"Yes, and yes," replied the president.
Disinterred for the day, Biden went on to mock the quaint notion of bodily autonomy with a demented quip, "I have the freedom to kill you with my COVID. I mean, come on, freedom."
Were our representatives to frame the vexatious question of vaccine mandates in the correct language of natural rights—self-ownership and individual privacy—we’d get the right answers, more likely to be followed by rights-upholding legislation.
But are Republican representatives doing so? Are our representatives who art in D.C. doing anything but wait in Tucker Carlson’s green room?
When it comes to Covid-19, only the following arguments are permissible as an objection to the Covid vaccine mandate. "Exemptions from employer-mandated coronavirus vaccines [are] in [these] three general areas: natural immunity, religious objection, [and] medical objection."
One hears also a perfectly calm case being made on the Left for outcome-based coercion: rights-violations work well to bring about vaccine-compliance, so let’s violate us some rights.
Dr. Leana Wen’s positions reveal the scandal of coercion:
#1
This was never about a virus. It was always about the 'vaccines.'
They failed to sell us socialism, so instead we are being replaced. We're being killed off in hospitals and with mandatory 'vaccination.' What's left of the middle class will be destroyed with inflation and shortages (more inflation).
Meanwhile our replacements are streaming across the border. They are no longer needed for their votes - Dominion has that covered. They aren't being tested or vaccinated - they are wanted here. Because they *will* accept socialism and be happy for it.
[NYPOST] Suffolk County is set to dramatically boost its police ranks — including by potentially siphoning off cops from the NYPD who are furious over the Big Apple’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
Democratic County Executive Steve Bellone will announce Monday that he is hiring 705 law enforcement personnel, bucking the "defund the police" movement in his own party, sources said.
Good for him. And the community, and the community’s police.
"This is the largest one-year increase in law enforcement personnel in Suffolk County history,’’ Bellone, who is eyeing a run for governor, told The Post on Sunday. "We have opposed the slogan, "Defund the Police.’ "
But Suffolk’s gain could be the NYPD’s pain — as scores of Big Apple officers are furious over Mayor Comrade Bill de Blasio ...cryptocommie mayor of New York and for some reason a Dem candidate for president in 2020. Corrupt and incompetent, his qualifications for office seem to consist of being married to a black woman, with whom he honeymooned in Cuba. He has a preppy-looking son named Dante, whose Divine Comedy involved getting his back hair up when a police car drove past him slowly. New Yorkers voted for him, so they deserve him... ’s requirement for city workers, including police, to get the vaccine by Monday.
Suffolk County cops are not required to get the shot.
"The [NYPD cops] who don’t want to get vaccinated, they’re going to run to Suffolk County,’’ a longtime city policeman told The Post.
The 20-year NYPD veteran said the fact that Suffolk cops don’t need to get the vaccine is just the cherry on top of reasons to defect to Long Island.
Starting pay for both NYPD and Suffolk cops is currently about $42,000 — but while city cops max out at $86,000 annually, the Long Island officers’ wages nearly double, to $155,600, after 11.5 years of service.
"Suffolk County? That’s the Lotto!’’ the police source said. "Anyone who goes to Suffolk, we say they hit the Lotto.
"If they go to Nassau [County], we call it the ’Scratch-Off,’ " the cop quipped.
"Less work and more money, and you’re more appreciated for doing your job,’’ he said of the Long Island police departments.
The source added that even if there were a vaccine mandate in Suffolk, defecting NYPD cops wouldn’t gripe — because the money eases the pain.

[ToloNews] The Wall Street journal reported on Sunday that some security forces of the former Afghan government who feared for their personal safety had joined ISIS-K (ISIS).
The report said some of these former security forces were trained by US troops over the past two decades of the West's mission in Afghanistan.
"Some former members of Afghanistan’s US-trained intelligence service and elite military units-now abandoned by their American patrons and hunted by the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... - have enlisted in the only force currently challenging the country’s new rulers: Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... ," The Wall Street Journal said.
In reaction to the report, the Ministry of Interior said that a general amnesty was announced by the Islamic Emirate and that no one including the former security forces should have any concern regarding their security.
"The Islamic Emirate announced general amnesty and no one including the former security forces should worry about their personal security because no member of the Islamic Emirate has anything to do with them," said Sayed Khosti, a front man for the Interior Ministry.
Earlier, the two-day Moscow conference on October 20 and 21 called for incentivizing the security of Afghanistan's borders, fearing the spread of extremism or the possible threat of ISIS.
"This is a baseless report. ISIS is not as active as it is being said. The general amnesty should also be practical example to (show) that no one’s life is in danger,’ said, Aziz Maarij, a former diplomat.
Some said economic challenges and joblessness are also reasons that forced the former security forces to join the ISIS group.
"The scenario of Iraq will repeat in Afghanistan," said Asadullah Nadim, a military analyst. "In Iraq also the security forces of the previous government made up a big part of ISIS and this all is happening due to the negligence of government."
The Islamic Emirate downplayed ISIS, calling it a slight problem and accusing the US of making propaganda of the ISIS activities in Afghanistan.
The former personnel is mostly US-trained Afghan spies who have been joining the terror group in northern Afghanistan.
Ahah! A location! Or a general direction, at any rate...
After the Taliban takeover, northern resistance was the only resisting group that was co-led by Ahmad Masoud and former first VP Amrullah Saleh in the north of Afghanistan namely in Panjshri province.
The group is though defeated, some members claim that they are regrouping and are waging attacks on the Taliban fighters.
The number of people joining the militant group is small though it is growing.
The Taliban have always underestimated ISIS-K and have assured the people and regional countries that the group will not resist and will not pose threat to the Afghan people and the region.
[NYPOST] On Friday, five young Democratic operatives toting tiki torches attempted a white-supremacist hoax on Glenn Youngkin, the dark-horse Republican gubernatorial candidate in Virginia who is panicking his Democratic opponent, Terry McAuliffe.
There they stood in the pouring rain next to a Youngkin campaign bus looking suitably ashamed in their neo-Nazi ...adherents of a philosophy that was seen even at the time as pure evil, which makes them either consciously and purely evil, or attention-seeking ratbags. [AlAhram] Bulgaria on Monday deployed 350 soldiers to the border with The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... to help police cope with the growing influx of migrants colonists, the defence minister announced.
"Soldiers arrived at the Bulgarian-Ottoman Turkish border since today to back up the border police," Georgi Panayotov told the private bTV channel.
The 350 troops deployed with 40 units of equipment, he added.
This year has already seen more than 6,500 people cross illegally into Bulgaria, three times the numbers for the first nine months of 2020, according to the interior ministry.
The east European country sits on one of the main routes migrants colonists use to enter the EU from the Middle East and Afghanistan.
Bulgaria is an external border for the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... . A partly damaged barbed-wire fence runs the length of the 259-kilometre (161-mile) frontier with Turkey.

[NYPOST] Dr. Anthony Fauci ...American epidemiologist with rotating opinions, warnings about the unlikely, and reassurances that if you wear a mask you won't get COVID, as long as you're wearing multiple masks, assuming wearing a mask is necessary in the first place... is in for a shellacking Tuesday when a bombshell new book by former Trump economic adviser Peter Navarro lands.
"In Trump Time, A Journal of America’s Plague Year" is a rollicking personal diary studded with insider confidences, and it sets its sights squarely on the chief medical adviser to the president.
Navarro writes that Fauci did "more damage to this nation, President Trump and the world than anyone else this side of the Bat Lady of Wuhan."
He holds Fauci accountable for "everything from the Wuhan lab gain-of-function catastrophe and suppression of low-cost therapeutics such as hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin to the political, partisan and deadly delay in delivering the Trump vaccines to the American people."
Fauci’s sins included not telling President Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... or the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... task force that he knew the Wuhan lab was conducting risky gain-of- function research on bat coronaviruses, or that he had helped fund it.
It was Fauci who "went behind the back of the Trump White House in 2017 to lift the ban on dangerous ’gain-of-function’ experiments. It was Fauci’s agency ... that helped fund and orchestrate such ... experiments at a bioweapons lab in Wuhan, China, where the pandemic almost certainly originated. And it was Fauci who, as we now know from a trove of [his] emails, was being told as early as January 31, 2020, that the virus was likely engineered."

Fauci is just the tip of the nose of the monsters we've come to know as PHARMA and Big Gov't. Mengele is in a remote 'farm team' in comparison to Fauci & Co.
I was in the 'pill conga line' at Walgreens last evening picking up my jurrasic thyroid meds. The pharmacist came back to a middle aged fellow at the counter and told him his prescription was going to be $500. (thirty days supply of something or other - over $16. per pill). I thought the poor fellow was going to fall out right there on the spot. The pharmacist tried to talk him through discounts and web site coupon offers. The poor guy finally left giving his iphone a work out.

/\ Yes, Epstein on the MACRO level. Fauci is known as a 'cut out.' He coordinated the laundering of USD from DARPA, NIH, and others to the Chinese Communist. He certainly does know the score, front to back.
[POLITICO] Mailers attacking Democrat Terry McAuliffe for being "on the side of abusive coppers" are popping up in Virginia voters’ mailboxes, urging support for third-party hopeful Princess Blanding — and highlighting a fierce battle for Black votes in the final days of the tight governor’s race.
In interviews with POLITICO, more than a dozen top Democrats involved in the Virginia campaign — from strategists on the ground to House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) — expressed concern that Black support for McAuliffe is weaker and less enthusiastic than it could be in a razor-thin race in a blue-trending state. Against that backdrop, McAuliffe and Black Democratic surrogates are racing across Virginia before Tuesday’s election to drive up Black turnout and support.
It appears Republicans are trying to take advantage. The anti-McAuliffe mailers — featuring an image of a Black man’s face, pushed into the pavement — are paid for by Our First Principles Fund, a nonprofit group whose only previous known spending came during the fight for the Virginia GOP’s gubernatorial nomination, when the group spent six figures attacking one of eventual nominee Glenn Youngkin’s primary opponents. The group — one of several on both sides trying to dampen base enthusiasm for the other party — did not respond to a request for comment.

As always the Party of the KKK, somehow continues to Play the Race Card for votes.
[WeaselZippers] Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) reportedly called for law enforcement to gun down the rioters who broke into Congress during the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6th.
The Washington Post has released a new retrospective article on the riot Donald Trump’s supporters carried out in their violent attempt to overturn the former president’s 2020 election defeat. The piece offers a massive reconstruction of January 6th, and amid all the shocking content that turned up during the Post’s investigation, the paper presents a detailed timeline of how the situation on Capitol Hill plunged into chaos.
In the Post’s second chapter — titled Bloodshed — the report goes in-depth on how Vice President Mike Pence and members of Congress were evacuated or sheltered in place after rioters breached the Capitol. One anecdote describes Graham’s reaction to fleeing the Senate chamber, including him urging the Senate’s sergeant-at-arms to use guns against the mob.
The Senate and House leaders also had been evacuated by Capitol Police and taken to an undisclosed location, but many lawmakers remained in their chambers for a few minutes before they were led to safety in the Hart Senate Office Building. Sen. Lindsey O. Graham was irate that senators were forced to flee their own chamber. He yelled at the Senate sergeant-at-arms. "What are you doing? Take back the Senate! You’ve got guns. Use them." The South Carolina senator was adamant. "We give you guns for a reason," he repeated. "Use them."

Graham has always been a deep state schmuck. While he has sided more with the GOP than Demons, he is a eGOP squish and always has been. There are other Republican senators I would love to see primaried out ahead of him, but his is in the upper 1/3rd of those I would like to see removed.

Did or did not, turned off after Washington Post.
Of course, those who looked like they had stormed windows before then took off like they were off to an objective would have made a scene.

Crapped himself under pressure like AOC. Unfortunately the threat wasn't an actual threat, the two should be tearing into the capital police and the misinformation campaign that exposed them as cowards and fools.

Dunno. Washington Post and Retrospective is a flag.
AOC was going out of her way, hitting the circuits to 'share her reaction.' This is the first I've heard anything about Graham, and while everyone is trying to get out in front of the Carlson Report.
You don't tell the targets of a surprise party so you get a genuine reaction.
[Breitbart] Vice President Kamala Harris is in New York on Monday to promote the use of electric trucks as the supply chain crisis — and trucking shortage — continues and the latest statistics on the number of illegal alien encounters on the southern border are up 314 percent.
That amounts to 1,659,206 for fiscal year 2021 as of October 22, 2021 — up from 400,651 in fiscal year 2020.
President Joe Biden named Harris the border czar to solve the ongoing flow of migrants streaming across the border.

Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) and AMISOM Force Headquarters (FHQ) in collaboration with instructors from the United Nations Field Technology Services.
AMISOM Force Commander, Lt. Gen. Diomede Ndegeya, said the technology of drones was an important tactical asset in gathering intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions.
"I am highly impressed by your good discipline, efforts, and commitment to learning. I want to encourage you to carry this enthusiasm for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), into your future roles in FHQ ISR Cell, AMISOM Sectors, and even back home to your respective Troop Contributing Countries (TCCs)," said the Force Commander.
The unmanned Micro Aircrafts equipped with Infrared Imaging System will also be used in convoys, foot patrol, overwatch, search and rescue operations, and battlefield assessments.
The Geospatial Information Officer for the United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS), Aka Alphonse Attron, praised the soldiers for their dedication during the intense training, which brought together officers drawn from all the contingents of the Africa Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
"During these two weeks, you have been very dedicated, with a lot of effort and sometimes in very difficult conditions during the practical exercise. We hope that the knowledge gained here will be used in your operations across all the sectors," said Attron.
The Chief Military Intelligence Officer (CMIO), Col. Hans Nyange, asked the participants to apply what they have learned to the best of their abilities and use the knowledge gained to train others.
"As you gain knowledge in managing and operating this tool, remember that we are most interested in the end results and how it will contribute to our future operations and plans," Col. Nyange told the soldiers.
A UPDF officer serving under AMISOM, Warrant Officer O2, Bagyenda Brighteous, said drones are important to providing vision support to patrol teams and convoys along the Main Supply Routes (MSR) and during operations.
"In the mission, we have been using human intelligence in gathering information but that is limited and has its challenges. Sometimes it’s difficult to move from FOBs to advance forward. When we apply the drone, it is going to be a game-changer," said Brighteous.
[Breitbart] German federal police apprehended 23 migrants colonists along the German-Polish border on Sunday morning and detained two suspected traffickers, German news agency dpa reported.
Among the people discovered inside a van during a routine checkup were several children, police said. All the migrants colonists were from Iraq, while the two suspected traffickers were Syrians. The car was stopped near the east German border town of Goerlitz.
The driver of the car and his lover companion initially fled during the police control but were later detained and the van was confiscated, dpa reported.
Last week, police found found an Iraqi man dead inside a small truck near the Polish border in a suspected people-smuggling effort gone wrong.
Police found the body after officers spotted about 30 people getting out of the truck, also near Goerlitz. The 42-year-old driver of the vehicle is being sought.
Authorities in Germany have registered an increase in people illegally entering from Poland in recent weeks. On some days, officers have picked up several hundred people a day.
Many of those picked up by police are Iraqis and Syrians who flew to Belarus and then crossed into Poland before traveling west to Germany in the hope of claiming asylum there.
In October alone, almost 5,000 people were stopped while crossing the border from Poland into Germany, dpa reported.

[Garowe] President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Being a self-defined foreign policy whiz kid means never having to say you're sorry... has dispatched bigwigs to Somalia in a move geared towards boosting the fight against al-Shabaab ...... the personification of Somali state failure... hard boys, who still control large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia.
White House said in a statement that Assistant to the President for Homeland Security Dr. Liz Sherwood-Randall, USAFRICOM Commander General Stephen Townsend, and Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict Chris Maier visited Somalia, Djibouti, and Kenya this past week.
"The trip focused on advancing the Biden Administration’s counterterrorism policy in an evolving threat landscape: prioritizing the most dangerous and ascendant threats; empowering local partners to prevent and counter-terrorist threats within their own borders; and working multilaterally with regional and international allies and partners to pursue our broader security, governance, and development goals across the region," White House said.
The US withdrew from Somalia earlier this year but it has been very keen to support local troops in the fight against al-Shabaab hard boys. In the past few months, al-Shabaab has been targeting security forces and innocent civilians within the Horn of Africa nation.
"In East Africa, Dr. Sherwood-Randall, General Townsend, and Mr. Maier met with U.S. forces in Djibouti, Somalia, and Kenya who are responsible for executing the counterterrorism campaign against al-Shabaab in conjunction with local and regional partners," the statement added.
The trip also came at the time the US vowed to review the support towards Danab Special Forces following claims that the special troops participated in the fight against Sufi militia Ahlu Sunna Wal Jama'a [ASWJ] which left over 120 people dead.
Early this year, the US pledged to resend troops back to the Horn of Africa nation but it's yet to give a clear guideline on how this will be done. Washington had close to 700 soldiers in Somalia who have since been repositioned to Kenya and Djibouti.
[OneIndia] A Special NIA Court in Patna has awarded a death penalty to four Indian Mujahideen A locally recruited auxilliary of Pakistain's Lashkar-e-Taiba, designed to give a domestic patina to Pakistain's terror war against its bigger neighbor... operatives in connection with the 2013 Gandhi Maidan serial blasts. It may be recalled that the blasts took place just before Narendra Modi, the then prime ministerial candidate was to deliver an address during the Hunkar rally.
The court had last week convicted 9 persons in the case. Two other holy warriors were sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment, two to 10 years RI and one more was awarded a seven year sentence.
While 9 were convicted, one person Fakhruddin has been acquitted in the case. The sentencing of the nine accused including Haider Ali, Numan Ansari, Majibullah, Umar Siddiqui, Firoz Aslam and Imtiaz Alam will take place on November 1.
Six people were killed and scores were maimed in the serial blasts that took place in Patna, Bihar on October 27 2013. The rally however went on with Modi delivering the address, thanks to which a stampede was avoided at the packed Gandhi Maidan. The speech also calmed the nerves of the people present there.
The Indian Mujahideen was accused of carrying out the blasts. Nine IM operatives and a cadre of the Students Islamic Movement of India were made arraigned as accused in the case.
Haider Ali alias Black Beauty, Human Ansari, Mohammad Ansari, Umar Siddiqui, Azharuddin Qureshi, Faqruddin Mohammad, Ahmed Ansari, Mohammad Alam were identified as the accused. The identity of one accused was protected as he was a minor. The minor was sentenced to three years by the Juvenile Justice Board.
One accused, Tariq Ansari died while trying to plant a bomb inside a public toilet in Patna. The accused are currently launched in a Patna jail.
The case was taken up by the NIA on November 6 2013 and a chargesheet was filed on August 21 2014. The NIA said that the accused had planned the Patna blasts after they failed to get close to Modi during his previous rallies in Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Delhi.
In this case there were 250 prosecution witnesses all of whom deposed before the court. In all there were 17 IEDS of which seven had been detonated.
[Breitbart] President Joe Biden’s public struggles with even the simplest usage of the English language have been well documented on the U.S. political scene.
From confusing his wife, Jill Biden, with his sister, Valerie, to saying in the lead-up to last year’s presidential race he is a “candidate for the United States Senate” and people could “vote for the other Biden” if he is not their preferred candidate, it appears he can be easily baffled by the most simple of tasks.
Simply acknowledging his own position ahead of that of Vice President Kamala Harris once proved too much for his cognitive faculties.
Biden was even forced to take notes out of his jacket when asked a simple question about “the most recent hack by the Russians” during an ostensibly unscripted visit to a farmer’s market earlier this year in Central Lake, MI.
Now other countries and commentators are noticing.
Sky News Australia ran an item solely devoted to Biden and his public gaffes last Friday, with host Rita Panahi observing Biden “needs a retirement home and a warm bowl of soup, not access to the nuclear codes” after showing several of his gaffes in recent speeches.
Not because this is an any way newsworthy, but just because our beloved president is such a vile specimen of classless humanity.

He says: “I shouldn’t apologize, but I do apologize for the fact the United States, the last administration, pulled out of the Paris Accords and put us sort of behind the eight ball a little bit.”
Biden has frequently criticized the past administration’s approach to climate, but did not previously deliver a public apology to the world.
Biden reentered the agreement in one of his first official acts in office on January 20.

[WASHINGTONTIMES] The Supreme Court ...the political football known as The Highest Court in the Land, home of penumbrae and emanations... announced Monday it would not hear a challenge over a Catholic hospital declining to provide transgender surgery, leaving in place the lower court’s ruling in favor of the transgender man.
A transgender man, Evan Minton, sued Dignity Health after the hospital declined to perform his hysterectomy.
That’s dumb. You absolutely don’t want to have a surgery done where they aren’t accustomed to doing them, unless it is a serious emergency, because the odds of dangerous errors are so much higher.
He received the surgery three days later at a non-religious hospital but filed a lawsuit in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, claiming he was discriminated against.
The lower courts ruled in his favor and against the hospital, which asked the justices to review the case.
Specifically, Dignity Health argued that religious health care institutions should be protected by the First Amendment and not forced to perform surgeries that conflict with its ethics.
The majority of the justices declined to get involved.
Justices Neil M. Gorsuch, Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito Jr. would have taken up the case for review.

Why should a physician be required by force of law to perform an elective procedure they find morally repugnant? What's next "female genital mutilation" of minors?

She is suing because they refused to perform unnecessary surgery. She should be suing the hospital that mutilated her and the psych who reinforced her delusion.

Once again the SC proves it has nothing but cowards on the bench.
[KhaamaPress] A chartered flight took off from Kabul International Airport on Sunday, October 31 carrying 45 tons of quality Afghan pine nuts to China.
The Kabul-based Chinese embassy in a statement said that despite the air transport limitations that are globally imposed due to COVID-19, they have overcome numerous difficulties with Afghanistan to resume chartered flights. The statement reads that the shipment will bring happiness to the Afghan people and good taste to the people in China.
Afghanistan as the biggest producer of pine nuts in the world exports most of its pine nuts to China every year.
While at the same time — at least in my grocery store — China is the primary supplier of pine nuts to the US. How much of that is just relabelled Afghan produce?
A Taliban ...Arabic for students... spokesperson Bilal Karimi has said that the air corridor between Afghanistan and China resumed on Sunday and the first consignment of pine nuts exported to that country.
In the meantime, the Chinese embassy has also expressed happiness for the resumption of the air corridor and added that this will strengthen trade relations between the two countries.
"China firmly pursues a friendly policy toward all the people of Afghanistan and supports Afghan efforts to restore stability and rebuild the country." Reads the statement.
China has been one of the key countries in the region that can play a major role in the rebuilding of Afghanistan after the US withdrawal.
The Taliban have also been friendly with the Chinese government and have invited the country to invest and work in Afghanistan.

Lawsuit filed by Texas Democrats over October 2020 incident involving Biden campaign bus and 'Trump Train' convoy was amended on Friday
San Marcos, Texas police are accused of 'privately laughing' and 'joking about the victims and their distress' as Biden bus riders pleaded for an escort
Updated lawsuit includes transcription of 911 call in which San Marcos police officials are heard saying they won't escort the bus after it entered jurisdiction
Matt Daenzer, a corporal with San Marcos police, allegedly told dispatcher: ‘We will “close patrol” that, but we’re not going to escort a bus’
One of those on board the bus tells the dispatcher: 'They've cut in on me multiple times. They've threatened my life on multiple occasions with vehicular collision'
There were no injuries as a result of the incident, which received a lot of attention, including from then-President Donald Trump
Trump criticized the FBI at the time after the agency said it was investigating the incident
At one point, one of the pickups collided with an SUV behind the bus, which was traveling from San Antonio to Austin

“But activists at Save Austin Now think it’s too little, too late. They successfully worked to put a referendum, Proposition A, on the ballot, with a special election set for Tuesday,” the Fox report said.
It would require the city to keep two officers per 1,000 residents, promote more training, and offer incentives to recruit police officers who speak more languages.
“People here locally do not want to fund defund-the-police efforts. They do not want to defund the police,” Save Austin Now cofounder Matt Mackowiak, a Republican activist, told the outlet.
In May, Gov. Greg Abbott (R) announced he would sign a bill barring cities from defunding their police departments.

Pure racism. Totally obvious to the intolerance and hate within themselves.
When socialists or communists purport to swear or affirm their support for the Constitution they are committing perjury. They consciously support a system of government antithetical to, and one which cannot co-exist with, the Republican Form created by the Constitution; they cannot support socialism or communism and likewise support the Constitution. The swearing in ceremonies for self-avowed socialist members of Congress and state and local office holders are invalid acts of fraud, corrosive to a basic protection for that government to which the American people consented, the Republican Form.
Socialism defines a government in which all means of production, distribution, and exchange are either owned or regulated by the state. Communism defines a government in which all property (even the body of the person) is owned by the state. Socialism and communism are antithetical to, and cannot co-exist with, the Republican Form of government that the Constitution creates and that the Constitution requires be guaranteed. In the Socialist and Communist Forms, there are no individual rights but only state defined collective rights; moreover, rights do not pre-exist government, they are bestowed by government selectively to politically favored groups and are taken away by government selectively. In the Republican Form, all rights are those of individuals; moreover, individual rights pre-exist the state and are a birthright from God, not from government. Indeed, contrary to the Socialist and Communist Forms, in the Republican Form, governments are, to paraphrase the Declaration of Independence, instituted for the very purpose of protecting the individual rights of the governed, which rights include those to life, liberty, and property. And the only just powers Republican Forms have are those derived from the consent of the governed. Socialist and Communist Forms presume powers over all life and property without popular consent.

[NYPOST] American Airlines canceled over 250 more flights — about 9 percent of its scheduled trips — on Monday morning after canceling over 1,500 flights through the weekend, blaming the travel disruptions on weather woes and staffing issues.
By 8 a.m. ET Monday, American had canceled 269 flights for the day and delayed another 117, according to data from aviation tracking site FlightAware.
The recent bout of cancellations comes as the airline scrambles to recover from a messy Halloween weekend that saw the airline cancel as much as 30 percent of its scheduled flights on some days.
In a note to staff on Saturday, American COO David Seymour blamed the delays on poor weather conditions around the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, the airline’s base of operations, that had displaced staff around the country, according to CNBC.

The council represents six nomadic tribes that live in northeastern Sudan where the port is located. They have held street protests in Port Sudan for the past two months, setting up barricades and staying out on the streets to block the port, a lifeline for the country, oil pipelines and major roads.
The protesters demand the military fully dissolve the transitional government of Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, whom the army put under house arrest following the coup. They also demand that a peace deal struck last year with a rebel alliance in the east be renegotiated.
The generals have denied accusations of engineering the port blockade, saying that the protesters' demands in Port Sudan and in Khartoum are legitimate and should be negotiated politically.
In the weeks before the coup, Hamdok's government and the UN had tried unsuccessfully to negotiate the reopening of the port and the key roads.
Sayed, the tribal official, said the makeshift barricades at the port's terminals and the main highway liking Port Sudan to Khartoum was removed on Monday morning. He said the barricades would be reinstated if their demands are not met.
The blockade has caused food and fuel shortages across Sudan, with the government warning last month the country was running out of essential goods, including medicines, food and wheat.
Meanwhile in Khartoum, a semblance of normality has returned, with several roads and bridges reopened after weeklong tensions and protests against the military's takeover.
The US Embassy in Khartoum said that movement in and around Khartoum has improved since Saturday, but that military checkpoints remain in place in several areas. Also, protesters have continued to set up makeshift barricades in some neighborhoods around Khartoum.

The impoverished Hadendowa -- a subdivision of the Beja people, known for their support of the Mahdiyyah rebellion during the 1880s to 1890s -- are very unhappy. They reap few of the benefits from activity at Port Sudan. In all, the Beja total close to two million subjects in east=coastal Sudan and Eritrea. Give them weapons and they could be formidable.
[BIZPACREVIEW] President Biden looked away and scratched his forehead when Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy yelled a question at him on Sunday regarding rumored plans to pay $450,000 per person to illegal immigrants separated from their families during the Trump administration.
“Mr. President, is it true we’re going to give $450,000 to border crossers who are separated?” Doocy shouted at Biden while he was taking an escalator after his press conference in Rome at the end of the G20 gathering.
Biden was looking at the camera when Doocy yelled his question. His curious and dismissive response was to ignore it and look away while scratching his head.
The potentially massive payments were reported by the Wall Street Journal Thursday. Evidently, the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services are seriously considering making the payment to family members who were separated after crossing the border illegally during the Trump administration in connection to a lawsuit. The move is ostensibly a political one as no such offers are being made to the families that Obama separated during his tenure.
The move could mean that each family would see close to $1 million in payments with a total estimated cost of $1 billion overall. The Journal did note that many of the families would get much smaller payments than that.
Republicans and conservatives are livid over the proposal. The payments could well exceed those given to families of 9/11 victims and Gold Star families.
Those who lose a loved one in military service are entitled to a death gratuity of $100,000. Life insurance from the Servicemember Group Life Insurance (SGLI) maxes out at a benefit of $400,000 and the service member had to have paid into it to get that benefit.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) claimed that the reported payments were “another way President Biden is putting America last.”

They're just rubbing our faces in it now.
The goal is simply humiliation.
No rational policy end whatsoever; just triumph and destruction. Destruction of a great nation.
[PJMEDIA] Portland ...a formerly lovely city in Oregon, governed by an unholy alliance of communists, anarchists, and incompetents. In 2017 the city was named as the fifth most business-friendly in the nation. It took only three years for the city to degenerate to the point where it became a national embarrassment, with antifa and Black Lives Matter bullying taxpayers and occasionally shooting one as an example to the others... , Oregon is nearly dead last on the list of cities where tourists and conventioneers want to spend money and time. And it makes sense. Portland is circling the drain.
The leaderless city from which police are fleeing, where Antifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... thugs are ascendant, and which people in nearby towns avoid, is dying before our eyes.
Elected Leftists can’t seem to prioritize problems or affect solutions beyond spending more money to study an issue or giving out more freebies via their favorite NGO’s to "fix" problems for them. Grift being what it is, problems don’t get solved.
Leftists have tried hard to mold the one-time jewel of a city into their socialist utopia.
The city’s "Travel Portland" tourism CEO, Jeff Miller, says nobody wants to visit their utopia. Miller told the commissioners, "Portland has declined to the lowest levels of being a likely destination for delegates to attend a conference." And it comes down to only a few things. "Portland-specific issues that are related to civil unrest and public safety concerns have exacerbated the negative occurrences of declining attendance and group cancellations."
Miller told Mayor Wheeler and the council, "Continued attacks and breaking glass on buildings throughout the city, but especially downtown, continued to affect this hard to overcome sentiment. Our central city occupancy in September lags every competitive city we tracked."
The only worse city was Minneapolis, which was also set on fire by Antifa and BLM, where cops are more hated, and where the Left has a firm hold on the justice system. See the Chauvin case for reference.
City Commissioner Mingus Mapps, the commission’s travel liaison, told his fellow commissioners during a Zoom meeting that things are very, very bad. "Here’s the problem. Around the world," he told them, "too many people associate Portland with homelessness and homicide. Today, a significant chunk of humanity is afraid of spending time and money in our city."
"Afraid" being the operative word.
It turns out that people just aren’t into crime-friendly places, where you could be shot at a downtown club, be clubbed on a downtown street, be called a fascist ...anybody you disagree with, damn them... by the club-wielding mob, or where, for political reasons, cops won’t be able to find your body when you go missing or arrest somebody for your murder.
It’s kind of a turnoff.
Stepping around human feces and tents is also a problem.
Leaderlessness results in an ever ending expansion of so-called "homeless" camps, which are nothing more than Fentanyl Flats, where druggies are encouraged to sleep and use for free.
Instead of telling people to drive their cars or RV’s away, the city assumes responsibility for these grown-ass, drug-addled adults and tells them to hang on because the city will use other people’s dwindling tax money to build them a damned condo because they care so much and are so "charitable."
And they wonder why the "homeless" problem grows.
Mayor and Police Commissioner Ted Wheeler ...Poindextrous lefty Dem mayor of Portland, Oregon. Allowed a year and a half of Antifa/BLM riots to destroy downtown sections of his city while playing catch and release with the perpetrators and hamstringing his police. He got reelected in the course of all that because the alternative was worse. He has yet to accomplish anything of substance, unless destroying a fairly pleasant city counts... , who defunded police upon real threats by Antifa and BLM rioters, just announced that, gee, we need more cops. He’s throwing money at retired cops to come back and also planning to spend more money to reimagine policing. Yet, another money-sucking grift as well as a paean to Antifa and BLM that will solve nothing.

You can't have a seller without a buyer. That's not to say that some of the buyers weren't "We pay cash for your house!" operations and the sellers were people willing to take a haircut to get gone.

The selling number need more data. CA is selling homes like wildfire too. Businesses are buying them for rentals and the owners are fleeing the state or going to a rental to avoid the taxes until they can leave. I would be interested to see migration data on Portland.

Look for Chinese money behind straw buyers and companies, since rental income from safe US properties seems far safer, especially when leveraged through US banks. The new multi family permissions for previously zoned single family dwellings in Blue cities will create opportunities for lovely communities to devolve into Boyle Heights style squalor and densely packed houses.
3rd world conditions for all the new "immigrants" who will live on the dole and vote blue forever. When America has 40-50 massive concentrations like this....
[ToloNews] Afghanistan’s all-girl robotics team has won the Judges Award in First Global’s 2021 competition.
According to the (FGC), this award is given annually to the team that performs well and works hard.
The girls displayed three of their new robots in a virtual competition in the First Global challenge.
Teams from 177 countries participated in the competition.
"We were the girls who struggled with many obstacles. We were given the opportunities and we gained a great honor," said Sumaia Faroqi, the leader of the robotics team.
"Among 177 countries of the world that participated in the competition, we were able to successfully win the Judges Award. This was an award given to a team that had the best performance during the competition and had worked hard," said Haida Haidari, a member of the team.
In the meantime, the girls said that this achievement belongs to girls in Afghanistan and they urged Afghan girls to continue their education without any fear.
"This achievement is not only the achievement of our team, but the achievement of all Afghan girls. We proved once again that if Afghan girls are given opportunities to study and make progress, they can raise our country’s flag everywhere in the world," said Elham Mansouri, a member of the team.
"I am glad that we were able to bring victory once again to our beloved country. I hope that our achievements carry on in the future," said Florance Poya, a member of the team.
Following the August 15 political changes, the robotics team left Afghanistan. They are now living and working in Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...

[IsraelTimes] Shin Bet says suspect entered Israel to visit his ailing mother in the West Bank but stayed illegally and was recruited by al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades terror group.
Israeli security forces arrested and charged a Paleostinian man from the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip suspected of committing two arson attacks in the central Israeli city of Ramle in September and October, the Shin Bet security service said Monday.
According to the Shin Bet, the suspect — Suleiman Kassab, 29
…alternate spelling Saleiman Kasab…
— entered Israel with a permit but then remained in the country illegally.
Kassab was charged with carrying out two arson attacks in Ramle, one on September 30 and another on October 4. In the September attack, he is suspected of setting fire to a number of ceremonial booths, or sukkot, that had been set up for the Jewish festival of the same name, and in October, he is believed to have set fire to a bus.
No one was injured in either of the attacks.
According to the Shin Bet, Kassab had been recruited by the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades terror group to conduct "serious attacks in Israel," such as bombings, kidnappings and shootings. However, some people cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go... he had received neither weaponry nor funding from the group in order to carry them out.
Kassab was arrested on October 12 and was indicted for arson on Monday by the Central District state attorney.
He first entered Israel in January 20 in order to visit his ailing mother, who was receiving medical care in the West Bank.
"This case joins previous arrests of Gaza residents who entered Israel for humanitarian reasons and were recruited to carry out terror attacks in Israel. This stresses the clear potential threat from [Paleostinians] illegally living in Israel," the Shin Bet said.
[Garowe] Æthiopia’s prime minister has called on his supporters to redouble their efforts in the country’s civil war, as rebel forces claimed to have seized key cities that control a major highway toward the capital.
A move on the capital, Addis Ababa, would signal a new phase in the war that has killed thousands of people since fighting broke out almost a year ago between Æthiopian government troops and Tigray forces in the country’s northern region.
The prime minister’s spokeswoman, Billene Seyoum, did not immediately respond to a question Monday about the government leader’s current whereabouts or travel plans.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in a statement on Sunday said federal troops are fighting on four fronts against the Tigray forces and that "we should know that our enemy’s main strength is our weakness and unpreparedness."
The Tigray forces this weekend told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named they were poised to physically link up with another gang, the Oromo Liberation Army, with which it struck an alliance earlier this year. The Tigray forces now claim to control the key cities of Dessie and Kombolcha, though the federal government disputes this claim.
The fighting could reach the Oromo region that neighbors the country’s capital. Ethnic Oromo once hailed Abiy as the country’s first Oromo prime minister, but discontent has since emerged with the jailing of outspoken ethnic leaders.
Also on Sunday, the government of the Amhara region, where fighting has been focused since Tigray forces retook much of their own region in June, ordered almost all government institutions to stop their regular activities and join the war effort. It also banned most activities in cities and towns after 8 p.m.
The Tigray forces say they are pressuring Æthiopia’s government to lift a months-long blockade on their region of around 6 million people.
Tigray leaders long dominated the national government before Ahmed took office in 2018.
