[Babylon Bee] When Huffington Post writer Brutto Chalet discovered he was being let go earlier this year, he decided he was going to do what all Americans do when they lose their job: learn to code.
There's just one problem: he suddenly realized the code he was working in was binary.
"Excuse me, professor?" he said to his programming teacher. "Yeah, hi. Brutto Chalet, he/him. Did I hear you correctly? Are we only allowed to work in binary code? Are there non-binary options for us to work with?"
The teacher said that they would just be learning to program atop binary code systems in this particular class, as virtually all computer systems are written in binary.
"Wow -- that's really problematic, chief," Chalet said. After apologizing for appropriating the term "chief" from the Native Americans, Chalet excitedly realized that exposing the bigotry of the programming community would make for a great Huffington Post article. It was a few minutes before he remembered that he wasn't a journalist anymore, though.
At publishing time, Chalet had begun work on his very own ternary code computer system, with the hopes of one day expanding the code to as many genders as there are, "400 or 500 or something like that".

Villanueva called for the county to cancel contracts with Fulgent to test county employees for COVID-19 and to keep track of their vaccination records. He did not say whether the FBI suspects Fulgent of proactively providing the data to China, or whether the company turns it over to comply with Chinese law.

...I'm hoping that this lady and her counsel have a solid handle on how a Queens jury would vote. If they do, then a not guilty verdict could go a long way towards convincing people that this sort of thing isn't the cosplay-revolutionary fun that some think it is.

Since 1945 for literally 99.999% of these people, the worst thing they face is a whiff of tear gas or maybe an uncomfortable night or two in jail. [Breitbart] Documents reveal that multiple Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) staffers were involved in child sex crimes but never prosecuted.
Obtained by BuzzFeed News via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits going all the way back to 2012, the documents reveal that the CIA "amassed credible evidence" of staffers involved in child sex crimes over a 14-year period and pursued no criminal prosecution in an effort to protect sensitive and classified materials.
"Though most of these cases were referred to US attorneys for prosecution, only one of the individuals was ever charged with a crime," noted Buzzfeed News. "Prosecutors sent the rest of the cases back to the CIA to handle internally, meaning few faced any consequences beyond the possible loss of their jobs and security clearances."
"CIA insiders say the agency resists prosecution of its staff for fear the cases will reveal state secrets," the report added.
Often, the employees were fired or had their contracts revoked, as opposed to criminal prosecution for sex crimes that involved children as young as two.
The over 3,000 pages of documents obtained by Buzzfeed News covered a range of internal investigations at the CIA, all of which had names redacted for privacy purposes. Of the 10 cases discovered, five of the alleged perps were fired or resigned, four were referred to a personnel board or the Office of Security, and one was prosecuted in tandem with mishandling classified material.

They have a group of wealthy British millionaires sending them cash across the pond as well.

Civil Defense rescue teams found today the remains of ten Yazidi victims, south of Sinjar district.

On Sunday, ISIS grabbed credit for a deadly attack on the Peshmerga in Diyala. Earlier in November, it also grabbed credit for a late October attack in which two Peshmerga were killed on the Erbil-Kirkuk border. A few days later, the Peshmerga prevented another attack in the same area.
ISIS also attacked Peshmerga forces on the Kifri-Garmaser border between Sulaimani and Diyala provinces earlier this month.
The gap between Peshmerga and Iraqi forces is up to 40 kilometers wide in parts. "ISIS has been able to exploit the lack of coordination between forces to operate in the ungoverned territory," the Pentagon stated in its latest report on anti-ISIS operations.

Police said the suspect was cohabiting with a man at Kamalambu village in Nandi before the suspicious locals raised an alarm leading to her immediate arrest. Her arrest comes after three al-Shabaab convicts beat feet from Kenya's most secure correctional facility, the Kamiti Maximum Prison in Nairobi. The three have already been slapped with additional 15 months for jailbreak.
Recently, the Kenya Defense Forces [KDF] has been recruiting prospective soldiers and the said suspect was keen to join. There have been reports of possible collaboration between the security officers and al-Shabaab terrorists, a reason why the government has called for vigilance.
Kenya is one of the countries which has struggled to contain al-Shabaab activities but in recent weeks, incidents of terror attacks have substantially reduced. Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa are some of the counties which have attracted high cases of terrorism.

^ I agree somewhat. After the collapse of the Soviet Union we should have held a victory party and then dissolved NATO. A new alliance would have risen, but the old ways could have been declared dead and we could have engaged the Russians.
Instead, the Clintons wanted to humiliate them and expand NATO right up to Russia's border. A nation that had been invaded multiple times by Europe as was paranoid as hell about it happening again.
Well, now the US and the EU is weak and Russia knows it can push back now and there is little the west can do. Especially with the Russians supplying most of the natural gas to Europe. They have a twist on the west and they know it.

UNAMA hands Afghanistan’s central bank $16 M in cash

World Bank to unfreeze $280M of Afghanistan’s reserves

The World Bank is intended to be transferring the money to two aid agencies-World Food Program (WFP) and UNICEF, told a familiar source to the matter.
The sources have told Reuters that, the 31 donors to the World Bank-administered Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF) must approve the transfer before the money flow to the two aid agencies.
The donors are reportedly expected to be meeting on Friday, December 2.
World Bank conducted an informal meeting on Tuesday to consider releasing $500 million of the $1.5 billion funds aided in the ARTF to humanitarian aid agencies.
The White House and Treasury Department have not immediately commented on the issue but the department has previously confirmed that banks can conduct money transactions for humanitarian purposes to Afghanistan.
Analysts say that the money can definitely help tackle Afghanistan’s crisis up to some certain point but say the big question is how to transfer the fund into Afghanistan as financial agencies are afraid of US sanctions.

Hamdok has said he signed the agreement to stop the bloodshed and preserve much-needed international financial support.
On Wednesday Hamdok issued a decree replacing most of a group of caretaker deputy ministers that had been installed by the military after the coup. The decree did not include the finance, federal rule, and information ministries.
The Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors said on Wednesday 98 people had been injured the previous day, mainly from tear gas canisters and stun grenades. The group, which is aligned with the protest movement, also said that doctors had noticed stronger reactions to the tear gas used on the day.

The judge further noted that with regard to the administration of an EUA product to members of the armed forces, such a right of refusal may be waived only by the president.
As noted, "[t]he DOD acknowledges that the president has not executed a [waiver], so as things now stand, the DOD cannot mandate vaccines that only have an EUA."

[Breitbart] Border Patrol agents in Laredo, Texas, discovered more than 80 migrants crammed into a single residential home on Monday. The agents, responding to a report of suspicious activity in the area, found the migrants scattered throughout the scene. The migrants were arrested and removed from the unsanitary conditions and were processed for removal from the country.
Although Laredo Sector ranks much lower than most in the southwest in the apprehension of migrants, traffic in the area is distinct from others. Laredo is the busiest port of entry in Texas, according to the Texas Comptroller. Due to the high volume of legitimate commercial tractor trailers, the Border Patrol encounters a significant number of tractor-trailer migrant smuggling schemes.
The stash houses are used by human traffickers to hide the migrants while transportation away from the border area is coordinated.
According to the Border Patrol, the number of migrants being held in this home is cause for concern. They consider stash houses a national security threat due to the criminal activity and the unsanitary conditions during a pandemic.
Within the first two months of this fiscal year, the Border Patrol in Laredo discovered six total stash houses in the city. During the month of November, nearly 160 migrants were removed from stash houses. In October, two homes containing nearly 50 migrants were discovered. Monday’s discovery involved the highest number of migrants discovered in a single home this fiscal year.
Despite the significant number of high-volume smuggling events interdicted and the number of migrant stash houses discovered within the city, there is some promising news. According to the Border Patrol, the Laredo Sector is the only area along the southwest border that reported a decline in migrant apprehensions thus far this fiscal year.
In October, the sector reported 7,443 apprehensions, compared to 9,373 in October 2020.
[Breitbart] Texas State Troopers arrested two migrants near Cotulla Sunday during border patrols. The pair was turned over to Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents for processing and potential removal. Agents discovered one migrant, Jose Arias-Gonzalez, was a suspected Sureno gang member who was previously convicted of murder with a 16-year prison term.
Federal authorities say Arias-Gonzalez freely admitted to being an active Sureno member.
Contemporaneous news reports show Arias-Gonzalez’s murder case dates back to the 2004 killing of 45-year-old David Norman Collins Jr. in Clayton, North Carolina. Arias-Gonzalez shot Collins, a security guard at the Dockside Dolls strip club. According to witnesses, Collins escorted Arias-Gonzalez and several other men out of the club when an altercation occurred.
During the altercation, Collins was shot by Arias Gonzalez and later transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead after arrival. Arias Gonzalez was charged and subsequently convicted of first-degree murder. Others received accessory charges.
Arias-Gonzalez now faces felony charges of re-entry after removal as an aggravated felon. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in federal prison.
This is the second migrant apprehended in the Laredo Sector in November with a previous murder conviction. On November 17, Border Patrol Agents arrested Juventino Orta-Garcia, a 50-year-old citizen of Mexico, shortly after his illegal entry. Agents discovered Orta-Garcia committed a 1988 murder in Texas.
