#2 All 31 countries that are members of the International Energy Agency agree to release 60 million barrels of oil from their strategic reserves "to send a strong message to oil markets" that there will be "no shortfall in supplies" as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the group says.

...The world as a whole burns through approximately 97 million barrels of oil per day. So that means roughly FOURTEEN HOURS worth of global oil consumption.

No doubt Putin will be quaking in his boots once he stops laughing.

Thanks for doing the math! That was my question. This may be pointless virtue signaling, but it does "send a strong message to the oil markets" that all parties involved are useless wankers.
