#1 supposedly there is a 30 or 40 km convoy of Russian and Belarus troops and equipment just north of Kiev but the convoy is stopped or moving slowly

this would seem to make the convoy a pretty easy target if Ukraine could get them close enough with good weapons

the deputy Mayor of Mariupol told Gunter this:

"The Russian forces are several kilometres away on all sides. The Ukrainian army is brave and they will continue to defend the city, but Russia does not fight with their army, they just destroy districts.

“We believe in our Ukrainian army, but we are in a terrible situation.”

All kinds of irregular warfare stuff can be done with what they have in place.

Route clearance is going to be very important for Russian forces.

Sad thing is, Ukraine has no way of winning this militarily. They are getting their cities rubbled and their infrastructure blown up. All they can do is force the invaders to pay more in blood and equipment. It comes down to how bloody minded Putin is.

Putin's dug in like a tick, paranoid as hell from all indications, and likely going mad in his isolation with all those "long table" photos.

I do wonder if he is getting the full truth? I know I would NOT want to be the one to bring him the casualties and equipment loss reports.

#23 been a long time since I read anything that took Hegel's Philosophy of History seriously. IMO, his theory is over 95% nonsense.

But if you accept Hegel's theory you should remember that he thought that America (maybe North, maybe South) would be the world leader after the German leadership era. He also thought the final stages of world history would combine political and individual freedom.
