#2 That's probably a translation error, the correct term would be MV (Motor Vessel, usualy diesel but includes gasoline engines) as opposed to SS (Steam Ship, usualy turbines, a much bigger ship)

A ââcough syrup mafiaââ is operating along the Indo-Bangla border. According to the Border Security Force, after cattle, cough syrup is the item most smuggled into Bangladesh.
With liquor banned in Bangladesh, âIndian syrupâ has emerged the poor manâs drink in the country thanks to the ââsyrup mafiaââ on both sides of the border which adds some âvalueâ to the product by mixing alcohol.
According to senior BSF officers, almost 25 per cent of the cough syrup manufactured in India is being smuggled into Bangladesh through the North-eastern states.
