#2 Another good reason to make capital punishment available in juvenile cases involving special circumstances.

Isn't it amazing when the ACLU fights court cases on behalf of young people having 'adult' rights concerning search, privacy, due process, and curfew, but when it comes time to pay the price for adult crimes suddenly they're just children? Equal before the law must apply both to rights and consequences.

#4 There was a famous case if Rhode Island when I lived there of a particularly vicious teenage serial killer (story here) who could not be charged as a adult. Essentially, the jail guards always managed to provoke him into assaulting one of them shortly before his release hearings, getting more years tacked on to his sentence. As of now, he's in until at least 2022.
