#2 In this case, the Europeans have made their hostility to the Israelis so well known that there is no way they can be acceptable as a neutral participant.

That being said, once again most of this is the Israelis fault, for not having dealt with the Palestinian problem long ago, by kicking them all out. Their waffling, and wanting to be liked by everyone, has turned the world against them.
