#2 You're close to the mark - deci - one in ten. Given we have far more general officer personnel per enlisted grade ratio than WWII, there's a lot of depth in that personnel pool.

#4 Plenty of housecleaning needed at the General level; just not very confident at the motivations of the cleaners - a political reconfiguration of the military with a few legitimate bits of dirt swept up as well, to add cover of legitimacy?
