#1 So, the National Guard gets used to get past local government not being willing to pay reasonable money for labor. Sounds like forced labor to me.
(Although, I can see driving a school bus of middle schoolers as a combat deployment.)

#7 Back when I was of school age, in NC senior students drove the busses.
