#4 I'm surprised nobody has demanded this before. Lethal injection is more about the viewers and not turning people against death penalty than it is the peaceful passing of the executed.

Blessed Miguel Pro, a Mexican Jesuit, was executed in 1927 as part of the Cristero War. He was shot by a firing squad, but it didn't kill him. He had to be killed by a soldier at close range.
