The Iranian toman is a superunit of the official currency of Iran, the rial. One toman is equivalent to ten rials. Although the rial is the official currency, Iranians use the toman in everyday life

#5 This does surprise me a bit in light of the news that Iranian oil exports reached their highest level in years last year. They are earning more foreign currency thanks to the fecklessness of the Biden administration both on oil prices and on Iranian sanctions. So their currency should be strengthening, I would think?
