Insurgents Pushed to Outskirts of Kunduz City
[Tolo News] Security forces have pushed back gunnies to the outskirts of the city after having regained control of Chawk-e-Kunduz, the main traffic circle, on Wednesday.

TOLOnews journalist Karim Amini reports that the Taliban's defense lines have been pushed back to the outskirts of the city but that festivities are ongoing in these parts.

According to Amini, all four main roads, that start at the roundabout and lead to strategic areas, are once again open to traffic.

Civilians are reportedly venturing out on to the streets once again and some shops and bakeries have reopened.

The city was on Wednesday relatively calm after ten days of fierce battles between security forces and gunnies -- which has resulted in about 6,000 families being left homeless since the start of last Monday's siege.

"Most parts of the city are now under control of the security forces," reported Karim.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Council of Boskone, Helmuth ordered the entire 614th quadrant searched. The Green Lensman must be found!...
security officials said house-to-house search operations will be launched soon to eliminate gunnies hiding out in civilian homes.

"We are going to conduct house-to-house search operations at night and if we find any suspicious house, we will search it to make sure there is not threat," a police officer told TOLOnews.

In addition, he said gunnies are also hiding in the mosques.

However the overall situation in Kunduz has been relatively calm on Wednesday. The roads leading to Kunduz Airport and to provinces have also reportedly been quiet.

Kunduz city fell to the Taliban last Monday when hundreds of armed gunnies carried out a coordinated attack and captured government facilities.

They also attacked the prison and allowed about 600 inmates to escape, including 110 Taliban members.

Obama apologizes for Kunduz attack, MSF demands independent probe

on Wednesday apologized to Medecins Sans Frontieres for the deadly bombing of its hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan, while the medical charity pressed its demand for an international commission to investigate what it calls a war crime.

MSF said that an independent humanitarian commission created under the Geneva Conventions in 1991 should be activated for the first time to handle the inquiry. Three investigations have already begun into Saturday's air strike that killed 22 people, including 12 MSF staff.

Obama telephoned MSF, or Doctors Without Borders, International President Joanne Liu to apologize and express his condolences, White House front man Josh Earnest said. Asked whether Obama offered some explanation to Liu, Earnest said no.

Suicide bombers kill 40 in Nigeria including in 2 mosques
[FOXNEWS] Suicide bombers, some screaming "God is great," killed at least 40 people in two northeastern Nigerian states Wednesday, including kabooms in two mosques, officials and witnesses said. All the bombers died.

Earlier, Boko Haram

Islamic bandidos faceless myrmidons had attacked a rural military camp in northeastern Yobe state overnight but were repulsed by troops who killed at least 100 of the hard boys, army front man Col. Sani Usman said. Seven troops died in that fighting and nine were maimed, he said.

Hours later, at around 6 a.m. when mosques are filled with the faithful performing early-morning prayers, two women jacket wallahs struck in Damaturu, Yobe state's commercial center.

"One of the suicide bombers gained entry into the mosque and detonated explosives and the other bomber was sighted roaming around the compound and (when) asked questions, she too detonated explosives," said resident Ibrahim Musa.

In Damaturu, police Assistant Superintendent Toyin Gbagedesin said seven people died. Musa said he counted 15 bodies. There was no immediate way to reconcile the conflicting tolls.

Gbagedesin also reported a third attack by two male suicide bombers on a settlement of Fulani herders that he said killed 10 people.

At around the same time, two male suicide bombers blew themselves up inside a mosque in Gubio town of neighboring Borno state and killed at least 12 people, according to survivors who asked not to be identified for fear of repercussions.

Gulf Arabs wrest strategic Yemen island from Iran-allied group
[YEMENONLINE.INFO] Perim Island may be a small lump of windswept volcanic rock at the entrance to the Red Sea but its capture by Gulf Arab forces from Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. fighters was a welcome victory for Yemen's government and its allies.

Gulf Arab troops swooped in from air and sea last week to take back Perim, which sits on one of the world's most important sea lanes.

The successful action denied Iran, the Houthis' main ally, a symbolic foothold astride trade routes as the Saudi-led Gulf Arab states and Tehran vie for influence across the Arab world.

"The island has now been completely secured by the coalition and the resistance forces from among its people," Rami Fahmy Mayuni, a tribal chief of the island's original inhabitants and commander of its militia fighters, told news hounds flown to Perim by United Arab Emirates forces for a tour.

In 2013, more than 3.4 million barrels of oil per day passed through the 20 km (12 mile) wide Bab al-Mandab Strait linking the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, a big reason why Egypt and the United States vowed to defend the security of shipping there as the Houthis descended upon it in March.

The warring parties appeared to receive the message and oil tankers and cargo ships continue to heave along, untroubled by the ground combat grinding slowly up Yemen's western coast.

The white-washed British colonial buildings of the island known in Arabic as Mayun, now looking like an abandoned movie set crumbling in the blazing sun, have witnessed more than one historic upheaval over the last century.

When the Red Sea linked British ports to the riches of India via the Suez Canal, its lighthouse kept vigilant watch on Yemen's mainland for raids by the Ottoman Turkish empire until it collapsed after World War One.

Yemen's Houthis, Saleh's party accept UN peace terms, eye talks

group and the party of the former president have on Wednesday accepted a peace plan brokered by the United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
in talks in Oman, paving the way for resuming negotiations to end months of conflict in the country.

Both groups said on Wednesday that they had officially notified UN chief the ephemeral Ban Ki-moon that they were ready to join talks on a settlement based on a seven-point peace plan proposed by the UN in talks in Oman last month.

Aid agencies and the UN have raised alarm over the human cost of the war, both from fighting that has claimed over 5,000 lives and from a blockade by the Saudi-led coalition that they say has brought Yemen

close to famine.

Citing allegations of war crimes, the rights group Amnesia Amnesty International on Wednesday called for states including the United States and United Kingdom to stop arming the Saudi-led coalition, which has been bombing Yemen for over six months.

In his letter dated October 3, Houthi front man Mohammed Abdul-Salam confirmed that his group and others allied to it backed the seven-point plan.

"The Security Council supports a political settlement for the Yemen crisis and the return to the talks with no preconditions, and so do we," the letter added.

Former President President-for-Life Ali Abdullah Saleh
... Saleh initially took power as a strongman of North Yemen in 1977, when disco was in flower, but he didn't invite Donna Summer to the inauguration and Blondie couldn't make it...
's General People's Congress (GPC) party also accepted the plan.

"An official source at the General People's Congress reiterated the party's fast position on ending hostilities and raising the blockade and on a peaceful solution to Yemen's crisis," it said in a statement.

The Saudi-led coalition and exiled President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi regard Saleh as a spoiler trying to undermine a political accord that allowed him to step down following months of protests in 2011.

Hadi had previously refused a UN invitation to peace talks in the region, demanding that the Houthis publicly accept the UN Security Council resolution.

In its report, Amnesty said: "Damning evidence of war crimes by the Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
-led coalition, which is armed by states including the USA, highlights the urgent need for independent, effective investigation of violations and for the suspension of transfers of certain arms."

It urged an end to the sale of warplanes, helicopters and bombs, especially internationally-banned cluster bombs.

Spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition did not immediately respond to a Rooters request for comment.

Gulf-backed forces have in recent weeks pushed the Houthis and Saleh's forces out of Yemen's second city Aden and retaken swathes of the south.

#1  The political agreement hammered out previously provided the Houthi their own political region. This was rejected because the Houthi, faced with a major drought in their homeland, wanted not just a sort of autonomy in the north, but other space as well. They get what they wanted -- for a time. But now the Saudis have got what they wanted -- the opportunity to destroy the Houthi homeland and drive them back from the 11th to the 9th century.

Three of four released after Sydney raids
[SKYNEWS.AU] Three of the four people incarcerated

in pre-dawn raids in Sydney's west have been released from custody as investigations into the killing of NSW police employee Curtis Cheng continue.

An 18-year-old man who was arrested at a home in Wentworthville remains in jug.

It comes after more than 200 armed officers raided homes in Guilford, Wentworthville, Merrylands and Marsfield at 6am on Wednesday, arresting four males aged between 16 and 22.

The 16-year-old and two 22-year-old men have been released from custody, a police spokeswoman said on Thursday.

The 16-year-old and 18-year-old were from Wentworthville; one 22-year-old was from Merrylands and the other was from Marsfield, police said.

They included past and present students of Arthur Phillip High School, the school attended by 15-year-old Farhad Khalil Mohammad Jabar, who bumped off Sydney police accountant Curtis Cheng in a Parramatta street on Friday.

A 17-year-old boy arrested and charged on Tuesday is also a student at the school.

Authorities are almost certain Jabar did not act alone.

At least three of the four who were arrested on Wednesday were also targeted in the sweeping September 2014 terror raids across western Sydney.

NSW Police Deputy Commissioner Catherine Burn said authorities suspect those arrested have some knowledge of Friday's shooting and could have influenced Jabar.

Investigations into Jabar's motivation continue, but Ms Burn told news hounds on Wednesday it's suspected 'there was some influence' that was of an ideological, religious or political nature.

of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) myrmidon group on suspicion of trying to illegally mint coins for use in areas controlled by the snuffies in Syria.

Police in the southeastern region of Gaziantep on the border with Syria also seized coin punches, presses and other coin-making equipment, the official Anatolia news agency said, quoting a statement by the regional governor's office.

The regional police force issued a picture of the sophisticated equipment piled up in front of the police force's flag. According to Turkish media reports, 56 coins in four different sizes were seized.

Another picture showed a punch to produce a coin with Arabic writing on one side and a picture of the world on the other.

There have been reports that ISIS is keen to impose its own currency in the areas it controls in Syria to free itself from the global financial system.

Acting on a tip-off, Turkish police raided the would-be mint in the town of Sahinbey just south of Gaziantep city.

The suspects, who include foreigners of unspecified nationality, were sent to court after being detained and remanded in jug ahead of trial, Anatolia added.

has been under pressure from its Western partners to crack down on the activities of ISIS jihadists inside the country and stop snuffies from crossing into neighbouring Syria.

The authorities have arrested hundreds of foreign jihadists in the last months and Ankara says it is doing all it can to secure its borders and maintain security.

India-Pakistan
SC maintains Mumtaz Qadri's death penalty, says he is a terrorist
[DAWN] ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistain on Wednesday maintained the conviction of Mumtaz Qadri -- the killer of former Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

governor Salman Taseer -- by an Anti Terrorism Court.

The Islamabad High Court's (IHC) March 9 verdict which had rejected Qadri's application against his death sentence under the Pakistain Penal Code (PPC) but accepted his application to void the Anti Terrorism Act's (ATA) Section 7,was overturned by the court.

Headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, the bench had taken up two appeals; one moved by Advocate Mian Nazir Akhtar on behalf of Mumtaz Qadri, and another moved by the federal government against the IHC verdict.

A three-member bench of the apex court allowed the government application to re-include the terrorism charges against Qadri

The appeal filed by Mumtaz Qadri for a reduction in his sentence was dismissed by the court.

Qadri still has the right to submit a mercy appeal to the president.

During the course of court proceedings on the case, Qadri's counsel argued that the accused was a straightforward man who had a justification for killing the former governor, admitting that whatever he did was in accordance with the dictates of the Holy Koran and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), because he was convinced that the victim had committed blasphemy by calling the blasphemy law "a black law".

"We have to look into whether the dear departed (Salmaan Taseer) indeed committed the act of blasphemy or he commented adversely on the effects of the blasphemy law," Justice Dost Mohammad Khan had observed.

Given the prevailing constitutional and legal setup, Justice Dost Mohammad observed, can the accused be given the right to judge on his own cause and commit murder in uniform of a person who was under his protection, especially when there is no evidence of him having committed blasphemy, save a few press clippings.

These questions need to be focused upon, Justice Dost Mohammad emphasised adding that the impression he had gathered from reading the facts of the case was that the dear departed governor was talking about the defects in the blasphemy law, which were sometimes misused for personal benefit.

In any democratic government, the nation has the right to criticise any law made by the parliament because it was made by representatives of the people, Justice Khosa observed, and illustrated his argument with the example of the 21st amendment.

"Will it not instil fear in the society if everybody starts taking the law in their own hands and dealing with sensitive matters such as blasphemy on their own rather than going to the courts," Justice Asif Saeed Khosa had later asked.

Quoting instances such as the lynching of a Christian couple in Kot Radha Kishan, Justice Khosa had asked whether an individual has the right to act on his own in such matters without even first ascertaining the facts.

Justice Dost Mohammad Khan also stressed the need of exercising restraint because blasphemy accusations were serious and prone to misuse. Allowing individuals to deal with such matters on their own is fraught with danger, especially in divided societies like ours, where even Learned Elders of Islam are reluctant to offer prayers with members of other schools of thought, he observed.

"Security forces also destroyed various safe havens of the turbans operating in the area during the operation," stated the security official.

(ISIS) have blown up an oil well in Kirkuk province in northern Iraq, officials said on Wednesday.

The Death Eater group has reportedly bombed an oil well that belonged to the state-run North Oil Company (NOC) in western Kirkuk.

An Iraqi security official told ARA News that the turbans have used improvised bombs to bomb the well no.2 of the Khabaz oil field in Hawija area in Kirkuk.

"The kaboom caused a large fire in the oil well in the Khabaz field, which is considered one of the largest oil fields in Iraq," the source said.

The Khabaz field includes some 55 oil wells and produces more than 20,000 barrels of oil per day.

This comes amid a remarkable decline of ISIS holy warrior group in Kirkuk province, where Kurdish Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi army have recently regained dozens of villages after battles with ISIS.

"The Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group tries to compensate its losses by hitting economic resources in Kirkuk,
... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time...
such as oil wells," Kurdish journalist Ahmed Muhammed told ARA News.

ISIS executed 70 Sunni tribesmen in Iraq's Anbar

of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) group executed 70 members of a Sunni tribe allied to the government in western Iraq earlier this week, a tribal leader and the United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
said Wednesday.

The victims, members of the Albu Nimr tribe, were executed on Sunday in the Tharthar area north of Ramadi, the capital of the western Anbar province, tribal elder Naim Gaoud told AFP.

"These people who were executed were the fathers and brothers of members of the police, the army... and of tribal fighters who are battling Daesh," he said, using an Arabic acronym for ISIS.

"Daesh executed them by shooting," he said.

Iraqi security forces, backed by U.S.-led coalition air strikes, launched a vast operation west of Ramadi Sunday to tighten the noose on ISIS, which captured the Anbar capital in May and controls most of the province.

Hatem al-Gaoud, another clan member reached by phone, said ISIS had trapped dozens of tribe members in the Khanzir area of Tharthar since the jihadist group launched its major offensive in Iraq last year.

"They gathered them outside Khanzir and shot them all in the head," he said.

"I don't know what ISIS did with the bodies, but it is likely they buried them in mass graves near the site of the execution," he said.

The U.N. Mission in Iraq's human rights
When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much...
office said it had been able to confirm the mass execution.

"This is not the first attack on the Albu Nimr, since they have been actively opposed to ISIL (ISIS)," it said in an email to AFP.

Possibly as many as 300 of the tribe's members were killed around a year ago, when anti-IS forces were still holding out in some parts of Ramadi, which is the Albu Nimr's main hub.

The tribe was very active in the Awakening Councils, groups of Sunni tribal fighters the U.S. military paid and armed a decade ago to fight against ISIS's previous incarnation in Iraq.

Local tribal fighters are seen by the United States as a key component of any successful effort to retake control of Anbar and other Sunni regions of Iraq IS took over virtually unopposed last year.

They no longer receive direct support from the US, whose assistance is channeled through the Shiite-dominated federal government.

ISIS has massacred hundreds of former Awakening fighters in an effort to intimidate Sunni residents from taking up arms against them.

Kurds: ISIS used mustard agent in Iraq
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) fighters fired mortar rounds containing mustard agent at Kurdish peshmerga fighters in northern Iraq during festivities in August, the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs, which oversees Kurdish armed forces there, said on Wednesday.

Blood samples taken from around 35 fighters who were exposed in the attack southwest of the regional capital Erbil, along with an examination of wounds, showed "signatures of sulfur mustard", the ministry said in a statement.

It did not say if any of the peshmerga had died as a result of the attack or how severely they had been maimed.

Mustard gas, which can burn skin and mucus tissue and cause severe respiratory problems, is banned under the Chemical Weapons Convention, an arms treaty intended to stop the use of chemical weapons.

The samples were sent to a laboratory outside of Iraq for analysis with the help of members of the "Global Coalition against ISIL," the statement said, citing an acronym for identifying Islamic State.

It also called on countries fighting ISIS to give Kurdish peshmerga fighters equipment for protection against chemical attacks. The United States is among a handful of countries who are giving military assistance to Kurdish forces in northern Iraq.

The ministry's statement adds to a mounting body of evidence that ISIS has a stockpile of chemical weapons inside Iraq.

Roughly 37 mortars fired in the attack detonated "releasing white smoke and a black liquid," according to the ministry statement.

ISIS already has a broad arsenal of weapons and military vehicles that they seized from the Iraqi army. In January of this year, ISIS carried out an attack using "weaponized chlorine" and has used chemical weapons on at least four other occasions, the ministry statement said.

ISIS has also been accused of using chemical weapons in neighbouring Syria.

The director of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, an international body that tracks the use of banned chemical weapons, expressed "serious concern" on ISIS's use of chemical weapons in mid-August.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
IDF braces for more violence after day of terror
[Ynet] After an escalating number of terror attacks on Wednesday, security forces prepare for the trend to continue, but there appear to be no plans to restrict Paleostinians' movements.

After a Wednesday full of several terror attacks throughout Israel, including two within the Green Line, security forces are expected to increase readiness all over the country.

Two Paleostinians, both residing illegally in Israel, committed attacks on Wednesday, raising concerns among many that one terror attack will inspire another.

The challenge faced by the IDF, Shin Bet and police is to foil attacks ahead of time, although the attackers committed in the last few days adhered to the profile of the "lone wolf" assailant without a criminal background.

Some in the security forces have expressed satisfaction that the more severe incidents did not result in a high number of casualties, and attribute this to speedy, determined reactions on the part of soldiers, police and civilians.

Four reinforcement brigades deployed to the West Bank last Thursday will continue to be active over the next few days, according to two main modes of operation: An increase in nighttime arrests of those active in popular terrorism, such as leaders of riots, high-profile agitators and stone-throwers, alongside "containment" of the many ongoing riots in the West Bank. Forces have been instructed to halt riots from spreading to roads, towns and army posts.

In contrast to the Second Intifada, during which Lions of Islam did away with himself attacks deep within Israel or made murderous infiltrations into settlements alongside enormous protests including thousands of rioters, it appears that there are no current plans to limit the movements of the Paleostinian population.

The policy of the IDF's Central Command is to continue to separate terrorism from the local population, based on the perception that continuing the easing of restrictions on movement and working in Israel will be a restraining factor that can prevent a larger conflagration.

The reliance on the economic factor as an element to prevent escalation can be seen in cities like Qalqilya, next to Kfar Saba, where the IDF has continued allowing Arab Israelis to enter to conduct business.

Four Terror Stabbing Attacks in One Day in Jerusalem: Is '€˜ISIS Intifada' Here?
[PJ Media] he first rains that follow the High Holy Days have come to Jerusalem. As always, a blessed relief. But no relief seems imminent from the renewed tensions that have descended on the city. A series of brutal murders and attempted murders of Israeli Jewish civilians by Palestinian Arab Muslims have taken place over the last two weeks. These have occurred against a backdrop of violent demonstrations and protests in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and increasingly among Israel's Arab citizens.

For five years, Israel has lived a strange and contradictory reality. The Arab world is in an advanced state of meltdown. A number of formerly strong states have effectively ceased to exist. Syria, Iraq, Yemen are today merely names for areas in which sectarian militias battle one another. These states have collapsed along their ethnic and sectarian fault lines. The results have been bloody and are not yet over.

Yet on the edge of all this, the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea has remained quiet. An anomaly. This is the only place of non-Muslim sovereignty between Europe and India. The existence of a sovereign area successfully defended by the Jews -- a group traditionally despised and ridiculed by Muslims -- has long been a source of rage and humiliation for both Sunni and Shia.

Why then, at a time when religious and sectarian identity was everywhere breaking through the thin membrane of "national" and "state" loyalty, had this area of non-Muslim sovereignty been spared major strife?

in the video they are claimed to be pretending to be protesters, throwing rocks at israeli soldiers to get a response.

then when the soldiers rush in they help to beat up a paleo, one shoots in the leg at close range.

#6  Ah, but I think what the Israelis did was a good thing, anon1, and I'm completely uninterested in the opinion of those who are stupid or vicious enough to be upset by it. Why should the Palestinians get to throw rocks and molotov cocktails for days at Israelis without being harmed in return? And why would anyone object, unless they think that stoning and burning Jews is acceptable behaviour?

Here is the Israeli take on events, from The Times of Israel with video.

#7  I am, perhaps, overreacting a bit. But the flood of propaganda is unending, and the world in which antisemitism is once again fashionable is completely uninterested in the truth. At any rate, the Israelis infiltrated a multi-hour stone-throwing fest, then stopped it. They did not create the situation, nor did they act as provocateurs.

You asked for the truth, anon1, but most of those who believe Israel must be evil because "it is an apartheid Western colony" are not interested in the fact that the only true words in that are it and is. Even if you show them the truth they will not be persuaded.

Southeast Asia
Davao mayor: Kidnap suspect in custody
[Gulf Today] A suspect was arrested in the abduction of three foreigners and a Filipino woman from Davao del Norte province on September 21. This claim was made by Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte who identified the suspect as Pandagon Adona, alias Banon, now undergoing interrogation following his arrest.

Duterte said Adona was positively identified from security camera footage retrieved from the island resort known as the Garden City of Samal. Duterte said Adona was among the group of gunmen who stormed the resort and kidnapped the four.

The mayor said he received the information from the military in his capacity as the chairman of the Southern Mindanao Peace and Order Council involved in tracking down the 11 suspects believed to have connections with or were themselves members of the Abu Sayyaf.

Duterte also said that security forces have identified at least two "contacts" who hosted the suspects. One of the contacts yielded a mobile phone taken from an American and his Japanese wife who were injured when they evaded capture by leaping into the sea from their yacht when the suspects arrived.

(ISIS) carried out two car kabooms on a Kurdish security checkpoint in Tel Abyad city north of Syria's Raqqa, Kurdish sources reported on Wednesday.

At least two Kurdish fighters of the People's Protection Units (YPG) were killed and three more maimed in ISIS-led car kabooms on a YPG-held security checkpoint at the southern entrance of Tel Abyad city.

Speaking to ARA News in Tel Abyad, YPG member Habun Osman said: "Subsequent to the terrorist attacks, festivities broke out at the southern entrance of Tel Abyad between our (YPG) forces and ISIS terrorists."

"A group of Lions of Islam tried to infiltrated into the liberated city during the attacks, but our units confronted them and killed at least 10 terrorists, while the rest escaped towards Raqqa city," the source said.

Wednesday's festivities reached Bir Asheq village in the countryside of Tel Abyad, where the YPG fighters took two ISIS hard boyz as hostages.

"The Lions of Islam believe they can regain Tel Abyad, but we want to reassure them that our fighters will continue until liberating the entire Raqqa province," Osman said.

DoD: U.S. and Russian Aircraft Have Close Encounter Over Syria
[NBCNEWS] There has been at least one close encounter between a Russian aircraft and a U.S. aircraft over Syria, forcing the U.S. to re-route that aircraft to avoid a conflict, the Pentagon confirmed on Wednesday.
Perhaps the two forces should exchange phone numbers? Maybe the officer of the day could contact the operations duty officer? Or divide the airspace east and west or north and south or by quadrant.
Moscow's unexpected move to launch Arclight airstrikes in Syria has brought the greatest threat of an accidental clash between Russian and Western forces since the Cold War. Russian warplanes as well as those of the United States and its allies are now flying combat missions over the same country for the first time since World War II, raising concerns about potentially dangerously crowded airspace.

The U.S. continues to conduct Arclight airstrikes over Syria, but the missions are "not unabated" as the U.S. had been saying in recent days, Pentagon spokesperson Captain Jeff Davis told news hounds during a briefing on Wednesday. The manned U.S. aircraft was within 20 miles of a Russian aircraft.

He did not elaborate on exactly when and where in Syrian airspace the incident occurred.

The U.S. has "a high level of situational awareness" of the airspace above Syria, Davis said, and American military officials have "taken some actions to ensure safe separation of aircraft."

Russia Fires Cruise Missiles in Syria as Assad Begins a Ground Attack
[NYTIMES] Russia and Syria unleashed a coordinated assault by land, air and sea on Wednesday, seeking to reverse recent gains by rebel groups that were beginning to encroach on Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Lord of the Baath...
's last bastion of power.

Moscow said it had fired 26 cruise missiles on Syrian targets from naval vessels in the Caspian Sea, 900 miles away, though it was not immediately clear whether they hit targets in the area of the ground offensive.

The ground assault, and Arclight airstrikes, seemed to focus on an area of northern Hama Province and southern Idlib Province, around three villages that bandidos murderous Moslems consider the first line of defense of the strategic Jebel al-Zawiyah area.

The bombardment appeared to be severe in some places. One video showed white smoke rising above a village's minarets, while another appeared to show at least a dozen kabooms -- the person filming described the weapons as rockets -- in less than five minutes.

Russian version of "shock & awe". Fire a few dozen cruise missiles. Then send in local allies---possibly with Russian arty/armor support---to butcher the survivors.

Russian warplanes in Syria destroy U.S.-trained rebels' weapons depots: commander
Rooters - Russian air strikes have destroyed the main weapons depots of a U.S.-trained rebel group in Syria, their commander said on Wednesday, in an expansion of Russian attacks on insurgents backed by foreign enemies of President Bashar al-Assad.
The US cannot provide air superiority? How a** backwards can the bammer be?
The Liwa Suqour al-Jabal, whose fighters have attended military training organized by the Central Intelligence Agency in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, was also hit last week by Russian raids as Moscow began its air campaign in support of Damascus.
How many MRAPS and Toyotas have died in these attacks ?
New strikes targeted the group's main weapons depots in western Aleppo province and completely destroyed them late on Tuesday, its commander Hassan Haj Ali told Reuters on Wednesday via an Internet messaging service.

Haj Ali said he believed the Russians were targeting his group because it was one of the bigger and stronger factions fighting under the banner of the Free Syrian Army with support from "Arab and foreign countries".
And to punch the bammer in his nose.
"These were considered the principal depots of the Liwa," he told Reuters.

Liwa Suqour al-Jabal operates areas of western and northern Syria where many of Russia's air strikes have been focused and where the Islamic State group - the stated target of the Russian air raids - has no significant presence.

Child ISIS jihadi taunts 'Dog of Rome' Obama to submit to the 'Caliphate' or die
[DAILYMAIL.CO.UK] A child jihadi armed with a rocket-propelled grenade has threatened to behead 'Dog of Rome Obama' in a chilling new video released by ISIS.

The boy, who is only about ten-years-old, tells US President Barack Obama
If I had a son he'd look like Trayvon...
he is 'dreaming' if he thinks American soldiers will enter the large swathes of land the terror group controls.

With one finger pointed to the sky - a hand signal which has become synonymous with ISIS - he warns: 'Wake up from your sleep and pay the jiz' yah (religious tax) in submission before the swords of the khalifah (caliphate) reach you and cut your filthy head.'

The child, dressed in army fatigues, calls Obama the 'Dog of Rome', which means servant of the Vatican, and references the US' military intervention in Syria and Iraq.

'If you think your soldiers will enter the land of the khilafah and pollute it with their filth, then you're dreaming,' the boy, one of the so-called 'cubs of the caliphate', says.

The video ends with an image of a motorboat travelling through an expanse of water - possibly referencing a journey across the Atlantic or the threat of Lions of Islam slipping into Europe hidden among the hundreds of thousands of migrants.

America has been hitting ISIS targets in Iraq and Syria with Arclight airstrikes. On Sunday alone, the US struck 16 ISIS targets.
