Most of the Left aren't really leftist. True Leftists are a small, hardcore lot who know exactly what they are doing.
The emotional voters here are the squishy, low-information middle. These people do not know, and do not want to know what is going on. But they do respond to an emotional appeal. They Left knows this. The Right just wants to ignore it and pretend that discussions of Keynesiam vs. Monetarism will eventually bring these people around. Won't happen.
Reagan knew how to reach the squishy, emotional middle. Current Republican leadership just wants to give them handouts.

I don't like the term "low information voter." It's implying that there is some information that they are getting. I prefer to call them "Brainwave." Cause they only have one wave, and it's flat.
A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
